A friend of mine recommended Dr. Bassaly for some Urogynecology issues that I was having. My urologist was no longer practicing and I needed to see a doctor. Dr. Bassaly is the best of both worlds because she is double board certified in gynecology and urology. She has been my female issues physician for two years and I have never had anything except excellent care. She is kind, listens to what I say and doesnt rush through my appointment time. The office staff is cordial and professional as well.
Dr. Bassaly is the best. She worked a miracle with me. I attended my first Zumba class and was able to dance and jump during all the routines I am so happy! What a brilliant and sweet doctor. Thank you.Patti Atkinson
Dr. Bassaly and Jessica King, NP are two of the nicest and most thorough medical professionals I have ever been to. I am a patient t that has A LOT of questions and they are always kind to answer all of them in person or by patient portal. The office staff is kind and caring as well.As much as someone doesnt want to have to go to the doctor, this is at least a very pleasant experience.I thank them for their help, guidance and kindness.
Staff is very friendly, professional. I was a bit nervous. Staff were very calming. Dr. Bassaly is very kind, caring, professional. I appreciate and respect that she answered questions and took me at my word just dont sugarcoat and be blunt. She was Not Blunt. I am so BLESSED with her as my DR. I would highly recommend her and this staff! Debra
This is a physician that looks you in the eye when she speaks to you. She listens, really listens, when you speak to her. She asks intuitive questions and is thorough. She is Board Certified. FACT: In Florida doctors do not have to take continuing education courses. They dont have to seek out and learn the most up to date treatments. In other words, they dont have to be Board Certified I was told. Ask your doctor if they are board certified. Dr. Bassaly IS Board Certified. She is kind, caring, and clearly communicates. Her staff, also, is exceptional. They are kind and thorough.
Dr Bassaly is attentive, skillful, kind and resolved many of my Moms issues. We have only been seeing Dr. Bassaly for a few months. She has excellent professional staff. I have recommended her to friends and colleagues.
I am 66 years old and Dr. Bassaly did the most compressive female exam I have EVER had. Extremely attentive to my concerns, very thorough explanations of her findings and didn’t ever feel like I had to hang onto her lab coat to ask her further questions! DOES NOT RUSH YOU INTO SURGERY like the other OB/GYN I saw. Believes in conservative treatments first which I am very grateful for. Very personable as is her amazing staff. My appointment was at 9 AM AND I WAS SEEN AT MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME! Almost unheard of.Looking for a GREAT Urogynocologist, OB/GYN? YOU HAVE FOUND HER!!
I’m still in shock at how terribly I’ve been treated by this office. I first made my appointment in October 2022 and it was for early January. Unfortunately I got Covid and had to reschedule my appointment. I called the scheduling department and rescheduled for the earliest available which was late February. At this point I have waited 4 months to see Dr. Bassaly. Late the night before my appointment I received a text saying my appointment was cancelled, and that I needed to call to reschedule. No courtesy call from the office or explanation. When I called they told me my appointment was cancelled by the doctor because it was the wrong type of appointment, and that I couldn’t get in again until late April. Are you kidding me? I had already hired a babysitter for my little one for this appointment, so I was pretty upset. I told the scheduler I’d like the office to call me back so I could speak to them directly. I waited a week and no call. I called again and asked them to call me back. Nothing. I can’t reach the office directly, so this was my only option. My husband is a surgeon so I am usually pretty understanding with these things, but honestly I’ve never seen treatment like this. I really hope they can make it right but unfortunately it doesn’t seem like they care. I’ve heard great things about Dr. Bassaly from some friends and my gynecologist, but unfortunately I haven’t been given the chance to see her.
**UPDATE**DON’T USE HER - completely unprofessional in my opinion. After seeing Dr. Bassaly for over 6 years (4 surgeries) she changed offices. Everything was going fine until they became short staffed. My messages were ignored, my requests for appointments ignored. Finally received responses and multiple apologies from the office stating they were understaffed and would be hiring new people soon.I had 3 appointments scheduled in 2023.(1) canceled due to the hurricane(1) I never knew about because they forgot to tell me about it being made without my knowledge. They apologized for this.Keeping in mind 2021 I lost my daughter to suicide2022 I had an early emergency delivery of my babyENTER the new staff:(1) I had to cancel due to my baby being sick(1) THEY canceled when they decided to drop me as a patient. The NEW office manager who told me she had been there a full 4 months ignored what I told her - that I only canceled 1 - she informed me that I had over 6 missed appointments - completely false.Their own release letter stated 3. (this manager was extremely rude to me and my wife - didn’t care about anything told me the doctor decided that I needed to see someone else closer).I was in tears begging to keep my appointment. They refused. I even wrote a letter explaining to Dr. Bassaly which was ignored. We did one emergency call and Dr. Bassaly was extremely rude, short and uncaring sounding. Something she had NEVER been before. Didn’t appear to care at all about my needs for supplies. They gave me 30 days knowing that I couldn’t get in with another specialist for months. They also were aware that I had to go back to USF which is where she is from - AND it’s further away than she is AND I have to start all over again with a new doctor now.Left me hanging - wouldn’t renew my prescription for medical equipment I require 4x a day, wouldn’t help by sending over their notes, refused to refill my tests and uti medication. Left me completely hanging despite the ER not knowing what to do for my UTI that was severe and told me to contact them.I don’t know what happened but I would NEVER recommend her after what she put me through.I have seen Dr. Bassaly for about 4 years and she is just wonderful!! Takes the time to answer questions, provide her thoughts and recommendations and then asks me what I think. I would highly recommend her, she gave me hope after I went to 6 previous urologists and NEVER received any help.
Staff and Dr. Bassaly were rude and insensitive. After explaining my concerns to the doctor she offered no solutions and sent me home. Doctors and staff like this are the reason people dont trust doctors. There are plenty of doctors in the Tampa area who will be much more compassionate.
This review is in response to the Customer Care/Billing employees associated with this office... Patients/Customers be very cautious as this medical group/office has very unethical billing/coding practices.... We were billed $384 for a telemedicine visit, which consisted no more than a phone call from the doctor explaining test results... They billed this as an outpatient office visit via telemedicne. Called multiple times to try to get this resolved, absolutely no support from either provider customer care team nor the medical billing group with Advent... Extremely hard to get someone competent on the phone, and just a complete overall headache.... I would advise looking elsewhere to avoid these petty billing issues after service... Better off to go with a doctors office that has some more moral and ethical practices...
V rude and disgusting staff, being first time patient to the doctor and given me wrong address they dont apologize and dint took me for appointment being 10-15 mins late, that to it was the staff mistake giving me wrong address locating it anyways, i got this appointment after two months now I m sure there are better doctors out there in tampa.. not sure whether I m gng back to her.
I know Dr Bassaly is very caring and professional and takes the time to listen and explain what is going on with your problems and how she is going to try to help you solve your problems and her staff is wonderful and very professional if you want a doctor that cares go visit Dr Bassaly you will be very happy.
Never been to the worst doctor that ruined my life.three years later Im still suffering specialist said she should not be a doctor becareful out there
This has been the worst experience of my entire life dealing with the office staff here. No lie
