I really like this Urgent care facility. Everybody is knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. Havent had to ever wait long. It is hard to get in to see my primary care Dr., or even another professional at the practice. I also like the better hours here with my work hours, which cant really be flexible. They also are good about follow-up with phone calls or information.
Clean, professional and efficient. The PA that attended to me, Peter, was great working through the options I had without pushing me one way or another. Fixed me up and sent me home feeling better. I recommend it as an urgent care option.
The woman at the front desk was incredibly kind. Held my baby while she cried and I was attempting to check in. She managed to calm her down and assured me babies bump their heads all the time. She really helped calm me down just as much as the baby. Total angel.
PA was so rude after we waited 40 min for the results of a Covid test. Just plain rude staff (except for the lovely young lady in the front)
Worst experience ever! Got there 12:55 wasn’t seen until 1:45 and I was the only patient in the waiting room since 1:20 but took the other patient that came in after me before me! Left with my foot still in pain and no answers. definitely going to dispute with my insurance company because nothing was given to me. I was in that room less than five minutes. it’s very hard to make me upset, but I am pissed.
Great place - front desk lady was super sweet on the phone, first lady to take me back and do some X-rays was super pleasant - went in because I thought I broke a bone in my wrist, hurt like hell and just needed some sort of help.Dr Marc (I think) was awesome, confirmed a broken bone, was super chill and then gave me some referrals for an orthopedist which turned out to be a stellar place to go too. The last lady to help me was super sweet as well, she helped me with the brace they gave me to wear until the orthopedist appointment.Went on a whim as I live in Granby, but will definitely go to that West Hartford again for anything our little family needs. Thanks for helping me get in and out fast and find a solution to my little wrist and hand.
I came in (yesterday 7/28/24) all flustered with a screaming baby who had bumped her head. The front desk person came around to the front and held my baby for me while I put the information in. She even showed me a picture of a bump on her own child’s head to make me feel better. As much as I’d like to hope I’ll never have to go there again, I know I will, and I’m happy it is staffed with angels like her.
I was seen right away on my way back from vacation. Front desk staff was courteous and friendly. I saw Peter the PA. He listen to my concerns and answered all of my questions. I was not rushed. Peter was able to treat me in the office. Thanks Peter - I can breathe and talk at the same time. I did need to follow up with an xray elsewhere due to a staffing issue.
They gave me a quick appointment. All the staff and PA were professional and personable. The facility had the equipment needed. A paper report was dispensed with instructions and recommendations for followup care. I have visited a few urgent care centers in the past due to COVID testing so I can compare. This center is excellent.
The front desk worker was nice and empathetic. She did a great job with getting me admitted, but when it came to the physician, Marc B. Was very arrogant and he thought whatever was going on with me was an allergy. He thought my swollen hands and feet were normal and he felt that he didn’t need to look any information up. Disregarding my thoughts and opinions, I thought he did a terrible job caring for me. He ended up giving me xyzal (over the counter) for my swollen hands and hives, which didn’t do anything. I won’t come back here again.
I cannot believe I did not read the reviews before going to this place! I went there because of red eyes that had crust & I had pain when I swallowed, talked or even touch my throat. The front desk girl was super nice. They only did my blood pressure they didn’t test if I had a fever or anything. The doctor Marc Benjamin didn’t do anything really. They took a strep throat test that cost me $75. I had to pay out of pocket & the visit to see him $130 + $75. He prescribed Prednisone one tablet just ONE. I left thinking this one dose was gonna make me feel better! Not only did my symptoms got worse I lost my voice the day after, along with painnnn. I went back on Monday and they are saying no one can help me because the doctor Marc Benjamin wasn’t there. My $205 just went up in flames! I’m deeply hurt I paid $205 for them to make me more sick! I wouldn’t recommend nobody going to this place! Unbelievable and to think it’s my health. Wish I could have given a no star rating
Thank u staff for your awesome services. You all are deeply appreciated. I was warmly greeted and any questions or concerns had had were professionally answered. The atmosphere was relaxing and I could not be happier. Highly recommended to family and friends.
Hit or miss here. If you get the doctor I got today good luck ! Every time, I go the same doctor mess up my prescription or do not give me a good diagnosis. Just today, he sent my prescription to another patient. This was not fun as I was in a lot of ear pain
They literally forgot my sick preschooler and I were in the exam room. He fell asleep on top of me so I was pinned and my husband had to call to check what was going on. The PA who finally did come in said the Covid test they had taken before completely forgetting about us was now voided and had to be redone. Didnt even really look at the rash we had come in for. Said he was worried my crying, lethargic, feverish 4 year old would assault him when he was checking his ears. Absolutely ridiculous. Cant wait to see the bill Ill inevitably get for that garbage-level care.
I was able to make an appointment on line, was taken quickly and everyone treated me very well. The PA who attended to me was wonderful and explained everything. Great care!
Very patient friendly. It’s my second time at this Urgent Care and it is not the closest one to me, but I came back because I found them pleasant, they listened to my needs and fixed me up.
I really appreciated the friendly, effective doctor and the nurses and staff we encountered when getting our son checked for pneumonia. They took our concerns seriously and took care of us quickly!
Best place.. Very fast in & out.. Great Doctor , great staff 100% recommend.. DR .PETER
Consistently a great walk-in facility. Staff is kind and helpful, needs are met in a timely manor and diagnosis have been accurate.
Everyone is welcoming, kind, and caring. From check in, to intake, to my time with the Physicians Assistant everyone was helpful and knowledgeable. It is a wonderful team!
Used the website electronic scheduling to make an appointment, was seen right away. Professional and courteous staff. I’m glad they are there.
PA was very nice but had an appointment scheduled at 11:30am, was still waiting to be seen at 1:30pm. No updates on wait time or anticipated wait during this time.
Very nice staff. The doctor refused to treat me and referred me to a doctors office that doesnt treat some patients such as myself. Waste of my time!
Excellent care little or no wait time before I was treated. Great team to take care of you when you are in pain. Thanks you!
I came in as a walk-in and was taken care of quickly. Staff & medical professionals all very helpful & thorough. Along with my sinus issues, I mentioned I had fallen on the ice the day before. They immediately took X-rays & discovered I had broken a rib in the fall. Very impressed with how much care & consideration I received from everyone.
Waited over 15 minutes for my reserved appointment time even though no one was in the waiting room. They ran some tests that should have only taken 20 mins but was waiting for close to 40 mins with no one checking on me in the waiting room.
Everyone at this practice is kind and professional. Receptionist is always sweet and remembers my adult daughters by name! Yesterday, I was seen within 15 minutes (as a walk-in!), receiving excellent care and immediate treatment for a kidney infection. Nurse was thorough with intake, Sx and Hx, as was the doctor, revising his original Rx after labs & upon a more in-depth exam and Sx discussion. We use this urgent care more than our PCP, as PCP no longer offers evening / weekend hours. Highly recommended. (From a mom of 4 with parents in the biz…. Aka, I double check everything!)
Everyone was very friendly. I came 45 minutes after the urgent care opened. I checked in and was seen quickly. I would recommend going to this urgent care.
The staff is very knowledgeable of the medical field and effective at what they do. They work well as a team and I would recommend anyone that needs urgent care to go there. .
Of the few times I have had to go to the clinic, scheduling has been easy, wait has been short and the staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. I feel like I am in good hands.
Staff was kind but I chose them because they said they had an x ray online, and then they didnt tell me they couldnt do it until I was checked in, I would have done virtual instead of limping in in pain and paying a referral co pay
Great medical care once I got to see nurse and doc.-but wait time unacceptable.2 hours with only one other patient being seen. Credit card system not working. Advise I would be seen in 2 min never happened
I saw a PA who was outstanding. She resolved my issue rapidly and gave me a game plan for recovery at home. Only waited 15 minutes and comfortable waiting room. Staff was caring, fast and the discharge instructions were exceedingly thorough. I highly recommend this place for urgent care needs.
Not bad. I’ve waited a long time here twice, but both times they were understaffed. It’s always hit or miss with these types of places so it’s hard to judge. It’s usually a toss up for me between this place and the one on prospect. The staff are really friendly here.
Dr Mark ? LAST name was very professional and through. Office staff nice.
Brought my daughter for a scheduled appointment, team there was indifferent to the fact that they were an hour and a half late to see her. The PA took a minute to check her out and said she had a bruise. When it didn’t get better we visited her primary doc. It turns out she was walking around on a broken leg. Go anywhere other than here. Rude and incompetent people!
They were quick and helped me with everything I needed. The doctor was nice and talked me through his assessment.
Wait was not too bad and all the staff there were amazing with me!!! I was greeted and assisted, the doctor that saw me was super nice and knowledgeable. I felt great as this was my first visit and unsure of what to expect! I would recommend this location. Great Job to them!!!
Easy to schedule an appointment, promptly saw when arrived for appt, efficient intake , solid advice w good interactive discussion, created good path forward for treatment and next steps
Very easy to make an appointment and convenient for me to get to, and the PA who treated me was super nice and efficient. Three reasons for 4 vs. 5 stars. The first, I had a 9:30 appointment, the place was literally dead, no one else waiting and only one person left, and yet I still waited over 30 minutes to be called. The 2nd, the medical assistant who did the initial screening in the room before seeing PA, was not very pleasant/nice. The 3rd, I gave the medical assistant the address of the CVS I use and yet my prescriptions were called into one on the other side of town.
I received excellent care. They took me right away. They listen to all of my concerns.
Dr did absolutely nothing for me . He asked me what do you want me to do? So I walked out.Service is horrible never dealted with a doctor like this before in my 63 yrs.
My visit was due to a sprained foot/ankle. I was quickly admitted, got xrays and the doctor reviewed the xrays all within an hour. I would highly recommend for any minor accute injury or illness that needs quick assessment.
Very cordial and efficient front desk. Promo service. PA was great!
Friendly staff and quick service. I was in and out as quickly as possible. I was a little surprised they used pen and paper to take notes; a computer in the exam room wouldve sped up the process even further. No complaints, though, it was a smooth and easy process. The place was very clean, as well.
Got appt quickly and was seen quickly. Liked special air cleaning machine even though it was noisy. Medical staff & receptionist were professional, friendly & knowledgeable.
Great experience here! The appointment was quick and efficient! 10/10 would recommend!
Was very impressed with the staff, and the treatment they showed my child and I. The front desk receptionist was very friendly. Shawia and Woody were great! Shawia went above and beyond to make sure my sick child was comfortable, and was able to get her job done thoroughly in a timely manner. Woody was great with my child. I would recommend this urgent care to all of my friends.
The whole team was simply amazing.. they all went above and beyond.. I can’t think them enough Marc is the man, if anybody needs any help go see this wonderful team for all of your healthcare needs
I was seen quickly, treated with care and respect, and I’m already feeling worlds better having started on the medication I was provided. They (Marc, PA-C, and his medical student whose name I regrettably cannot recall) even offered me a note for my employer- something which I wasn’t aware enough of at the time to ask for. Allaround a very caring and thoroughly conscientious team of professionals. Great experience and super convenient!
Staff from start to finish were very pleasant and helpful. The wait time was not long.
I was the only one there and yet they had me wait for 45 minutes after taking Covid test which I didn’t have!
I went in as a walk in and was told 30 to 60 min. My 60 min time came and they let me know it would probably be another 40 minutes. I asked if I should come back later because I was very obviously sick and needed to be seen. The front desk promptly said don’t want to see a doctor virtually to which I explained I think I have to because I thought I had strep, the flu or COVID. They let me know that wasn’t necessary and they could do the testing and I could talk to a provider through telehealth. I was brought in tested immediately and on my way with a script and much appreciation for not having to wait another 40 minutes. My only negative was I wish they had offered the telehealth upon my arrival and I may not have had to wait the hour to begin with. Other than that everyone was great!
Had a clogged ear. The staff was friendly and quick and flushed my ear. Left less than an hour later. Thanks to everyone there.
Service was prompt, staff was very friendly and efficient.
I had a severe sacral-iliac flare-up and could barely walk. I had to use my cane. I called my regular doctor’s office but could not be seen as all doctors were booked. A friend of mine’s suggested this urgent care clinic and I was brought in. The medical receptionist was so sweet and professional and remained composed although I forgot my insurance card in my other wallet. She simply called my PCP’s office and got the info needed. She was then able to contact my insurance company and complete my check-in. I was only there for 10 minutes. She could see that I was in pain and I was seen quickly by a very pleasant medical assistant who asked if I needed a wheelchair. I declined and she stayed by my side while I slowly walked in and through the room. She was very compassionate, understanding and did a thorough triage. The female PA that took care of me was awesome. Very attentive and took the time to listen to my medical history. She was very engaging, knowledgeable and had great eye contact. I was not rushed. The male PA was very warm , concerning and reassuring. He wrapped up the whole process. I apologize for not remembering their names. The whole team was awesome! Highly professional. Quick! Knowledgeable. Facility was spotless. I was not made to feel like a burden. Excellent care! Thank you all SO much! 😀
We booked an appointment online, which was relatively easy to do. Got there on time, then sat in the room for over an hour, waiting for the aprn to come in. When she came in, she gave us someone elses test results (hipaa violation). She didnt listen to everything I had to say about my sons history with certain illnesses. When I told her what worked for him, she said she would send over some of the prescriptions but not all that we were asking for. We then went back and forth with her, the insurance company and the pharmacy to get a medication for my son. It took me calling and demanding to speak to her for her to send over the right prescription that would be covered. Needless to say, my son is still walking around with untreated walking pneumonia. We had to go there because it was in our insurance network and his primary doctor is closed on weekends. Highly recommend not going back there.
The front desk staff person was warm welcoming ...lovely. The doctor was patient and clear in her diagnosis and explaining her plan for care. The only negative is I found trying to get through your system with my phone was not actually possible and kept sending back to a previous page. That was very frustrating. The front desk person was able to bypass this process for me
The doctor was very loud with my medical concerns, he did not provide a safe place and directed me to the emergency room because he did not want to assist. It was a waste of a visit and money.
It was relatively quick to get in to see the doctor. The staff were professional and prepared to do what was necessary. Most importantly the doctor was very nice very easy to talk to and seemingly knew exactly what I needed because I felt better within hours. I had bronchitis and was extremely sore from coughing. He prescribed an anti-inflammatory and I felt much better very quickly.
Hospitality was very good very good period whats short and fast, they know what theyre doing.
Came in for what I thought was swimmers ear. Turns out it was compressed wax and it needed draining. I made an appointment and I was put in a room and treated within an hour. Would highly, highly recommend. Everyone was pleasant and helpful!
The medical advice was competent. The medical professional who called my name at the door to the waiting room did not introduce herself to me when I approached her, she simply said Follow me; She did not state her professional degree eg: Im Jane Doe a P.A. She did not explain to me what her role was; Ill be taking your BP, , , , etc I had to guess her professional status by her jacket (PAS I think or NPS) a student? When cuffing my arm for reading my BP she insisted I needed to roll/push up the sleeve of my thin silk shirt up to nearly my shoulder. A difficult task that I was having a hard time doing. I was quite sure the machine would be able to read my BP through the very thin fabric but she was insistent. It gave me little assurance that she knew what she was doing. When the PA came in, he also didnt introduce himself (again, my information came from his insignia on his scrubs) and, like the student(?) just started asking me questions. the only time either one of them smiled was when they were leaving the exam room.the atmosphere at Physicians OneUrgent Care struck me as desultory, lacking in any enthusiasm or even much interest in their work. I cannot say this about the front desk where they are consistently helpful, pleasant and smiling.
Very helpful during a time where I was very concerned. They got me in very quickly and the nice gentleman at the front desk was so friendly, kind and helpful. The nurse/PA was fantastic, very informative and gentle. I’ve been several times over the years with positive experiences, but this was the best experience. by far.Update: went back 5 months later for sever sore throat and had great experience again… and little to no wait!
Highly recommended! Went in for an online appointment last night due to severe TMJ pain. Was prescribed Prednisone steroid medication and already felt the pain reduce immensely within minutes of taking the first dose. I apologize as I forgot the Doctor’s name, but I am truly appreciative of his and his MA’s help!! Friendly & helpful receptionist as well
Deplorable front end customer service at best. Everything seems to be a joke. We dont need anymore of this, especially with whats going on. (Also, your sign is extremely hard to notice.)
Theyre very kind respectable they fast service service is great and the people are wonderful
It has lots of available times, a convenient location and helpful and kind staff. The providers seem to know their stuff. I only took one star off because the main provider seeing me was a bit rude to me. I felt like he didn’t take me seriously because he thought I was a young female. He could tell I was upset and was kinder when he came back so not a complete loss.
The guy that took care of me was very nice and I appreciate the kindness especially what I was dealing with thank you!!
I was diagnosed with strep throat on Nov 28 in which a medication was given toe that did not work. I had a virtual appointment today with Lauren n for first time ever someone listen to me and tried to figure out the best way to fix my problem. I wish there was more people in this work like her that really took the time to cater to their patients needs and not just write n sign a prescription. Thanks Lauren I appreciate you .
Got appointment easily and staff were great
I’ve been to this facility a couple of times before my most recent visit and, as usual, the facility, staff and service were exceptional and as prompt as possible. Jessica at the front desk was very personable, professional and efficient. The medical team was also very knowledgeable, patient and caring in diagnosing and identifying my needs based on my symptoms. They provided all the right information to guide my recovery.
I visited PhysicianOne yesterday and everyone from receptionist to doctor were welcoming and kind. I made an appointment and was seen quickly. The nurse was very friendly and put me at ease and the doctor worked with me to find a medication that would accommodate and upcoming trip. I would definitely visit again.
Quick in and out with an appointment . Med staff was thorough and patient
Fabulous staff from the smiles and kindness at the front desk to the kind doc and student who reassured me!
The staff are so nice and respectful and caring. And thank you mark for being patient with my daughter.
I’ve had such great experiences at PhysicianOne urgent care in west hartford, including one yesterday. I wasn’t feeling well yesterday so when I got out of work at 7pm I checked for the hours and it said this urgent care closed at 8pm, so I knew it was a long shot to be seen and get the test I wanted done. Once I got there they immediately took me in, performed the test with urgency, and the doctor was so helpful and informative. Amazing team of medical professionals at this location. Just wanted to say thank you again.
Outstanding and prompt service. Thank you.! The only concern is asking elderly patients to use their phones for registration. Some elderly pts do not feel comfortable with electronic processes. Main desk assistant was very helpful yesterday THANK YOU.
Got the answers I needed. It just feels like people arent happy to be there. Poor beside manner. Got the job done in any case.
This staff was very pleasant and understandable and was listen to my concerns Gave their feedback
A very good experience. Secretary greeting was friendly and helpful. The nurse was nice, efficient, and made me feel calm. The PA Marc Benjamin was excellent, competent and thorough in examining me, asking the pertinent questions, taking the needed tests, and then came back with the news about my medical situation.Being a clergyman and facing 8 demanding church services of Holy Week I needed to overcome the nasal and chest congestion. Marc prescribed the proper medications to alleviate the congestion. I conducted 3 services with no voice problems and now look ahead to the 5 remaining.Thank you to PhysicianOne Urgent Care for getting the necessary care to this Greek Orthodox Priest enabling me to fulfill my ministry obligations.Rev. D A
The receptionist was very welcoming and Dr. Maryam was kind and knowledgeable. The waiting room was clean, neat and quiet.
Had an appointment at 10am. Sat in the waiting room for 40 mins before seeing anyone. Finally got brought back into a room and saw assistant. Then waited over an hour for actual doctor to see me. Understaffed, poor communication and employees were rude.
Everyone was terrific. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
Everything went well, the staffs and physician was great. Keep up the great work.
I felt my visit was very suspect. I have had a sore throat for 4 days. The PA had my discharge papers in her pocket BEFORE she even looked st my throat. Shouldnt she have examined me before she diagnosed and generated my discharge papers?
Let me start by saying this place is amazing. I recommend 100 percent. They treated me so well. That today Im much better today. The PA that treated me was very professional. His name is Mark benjamin. The PSR and the MA were both very understanding and helpful.
Everything went well except some were coughing and had no masks on that would not be ok for me.
Clean. Lots of parking. Staff pleasant. PA Benjamin was very helpful in getting me the appt I needed for ultrasound and appt with my primary care physician. I highly recommend this urgent care facility.
Do not go into this facility if you can avoid it. Before the head physician had determined anything about my ailment, I was quickly before force from the examiners table onto a gurney and shooed off to the hospital.A clear violation of my right, this facility initiated what would turn out to be a day from hell in the health care apparatus.Extremely dissatisfied with Urgent Care, South Main Street, West Hartford.
I repeatedly come back here whenever I have an urgent matter and can’t get to my doctor because the staff and doctors are great. They answer my questions and make sure I understand all follow ups/prescribed medications.
Best urgent care I’ve been to yet. The staff is prompt, efficient, kind…and so respectful. The PAs and physicians here are very knowledgeable. Highly recommend
This was my 1st time and they were professional, helpful and showed compassion. The online website was easy for me to make a scheduled appointment and give my documentation. In addition the staff was efficient and effective with treatment. They will be my only choice in the future should I need their assistance. thank you PhysicianOne
Excellent urgent care - I went in for covid testing due to cold symptoms, and every room had air purifiers making me feel extra safe. They even had rapid covid PCRs, so in 20 minutes I knew I was negative for covid, flu, and strep.
The Doctor was very understanding and checked to see if I had a strep throat or anything of that nature. The front desk has really good customer service and was very friendly as well. I recommend anyone to get their service since they really care about their patients. 😉🙏.
The wait was not too long. I was able to schedule her appointment prior. Staff was nice but I do not think that they got to the bottom of her issue.
Very friendly and knowledgeable; had a late evening appointment and was seen timely. Everyone was a pleasure to work with.
My wife and I walked in on a Sunday afternoon for a COVID test due to a possible exposure. Even though we are vaccinated, we have a brand new baby grandson and 3 young granddaughters that we were recently in contact with. When we called at 4:25 to see if we could get the tests and said we were nearby, we were told that they were accepting people until 4:45. We arrived at 4:35 and were told by the receptionist that they had stopped taking patients at 4:30. When we said we were just told we could come in until 4:45, the person checked and we were allowed to have the test after completing the required paperwork. The lab tech, Tien, was very pleasant and friendly and completed the tests efficiently. The PA, Stacey, who met with us to review our results, was also very friendly, thorough, informative and reassuring. We left the clinic just after 5:00. Overall, our experience was very good, despite the initial confusion. The staff were excellent, gracious and accommodating at closing time on a Sunday afternoon! We were greatly appreciative! - Ken B.
I’m so pleased by the care I received from start-to-finish. “Julia” answered the phone right away and was friendly and professional. She accommodated me within one hour. Medical Assistant “Corey” was efficient and reassuring g. “Pete” the P.A. Listened to my issue and prescribed me the antibiotic which literally gave me relief with twelve hours. As an MD, I am cognizant of the many stressors that a Medicine is in during this era of corporate Medicine. It was a relief to find a place that is not only renders excellent care, but does so with humanity.
Below is the review i posted after my last visit. I saw them yesterday because I had a positive covid test and Flew symptoms. Im happy to say that I had a as good a visit this time as I did the last time. They are always very friendly, efficient and effective. Conveniently located... took less time to get in then I expected. Basically delivered what I needed, with less waiting than I expected. Thanks
While a trip to urgent care isn’t fun, the team at PhysicianOne in West Hartford made it a good experience. The providers were very friendly and had great bedside manner — thanks Marc and Corey! I also appreciate that I was able to make an appointment right away and was seen within minutes after I arrived.
They were quick with little waiting. All personnel were efficient, friendly and informative. Only surprise was they are an urgent care provider with no X-ray on site.
The whole process of checking in was painless. The receptionist was very helpful to me as I was typing in the required paperwork.I was called in by the nurse very quickly. The nurse was very professional while taking my vitals. The doctor then came in .The doctor asked me my problem which was wax in my ear he made me feel at ease and corrected the problem very quickly.I would recommend physicians one in West Hartford to all my friends.
Yesterday I stopped in to get a rapid test. I worked with Kelsey, Bailey and Amanda. Everyone was beyond amazing. They were sweet and caring over the phone, allowing me to even bump up my appointment. When I got there, I didnt even have to wait. They were quick and courteous but still went the extra mile to check my overall health and share some laughs. They were very friendly and informative. I ended up coming outside from the appointment to a flat tire and Bailey went out of her way to make sure I had help fixing my flat and getting home safely. 10/10 for the entire staff and their facility!
Been going there since they opened quick easy and friendly
This place was awesome, I was able to get an appointment on the same day and the wait was like 5 mins everyone was very friendly beginning with the receptionist and ending with the Dr.
I had an ingrown toe nail that was giving me trouble and my podiatrist had no availability for 2 weeks. Peter, the PA in charge of my care today, did an excellent job. He was very professional, knowledgeable and very kind. My toe is already better thanks to a professional.
Normally when you think of urgent care it’s a long wait and not always great service but I can confirm that this is not the case with this location!I’ve been twice, once for REALLY bad poison Ivy and once for possible strep throat. Both times the staff was soooo kind and there was almost no wait. I feel lucky to have them so close to home!!
I went here after trying AFC urgent care in Boulevard and I’m so glad I did! When I got here there was no lines I was able to check in from my phone, was seeing almost immediately and got my results back within 15 minutes. Super clean, quiet, staff was friendly and professional Corey was very kind.I highly recommend this urgent care.
Mark and Corey were very nice and diligent ! Went in to check on a common cold while pregnant. They were very nice and well informed! Ended by showing them pictures of my cats lol
Was seen at West Hartford last night in and our within15 min. Every employee was wonderful from receptionist , M.A Shawia and P.A Marc were very professional and took great care of me . I highly recommend this Physician One Urgent Care in West Hartford.
They were pretty quick to see me, listened to my concerns, discussed issues in detail, and made helpful recommendations. Everyone was super nice and attentive. Just wish the outside sign to turn into the parking lot was lit up as it was pretty hard to see at night, though that isnt on the staff of course.
I’ve been to this Urgent Care three times and each time is a great experience. Today, Jessica, the nurse who did my intake was lovely! She made me feel at ease and was caring and thoughtful. It makes a big difference when you are sick to have someone taking time to talk and understand what’s going on with you. 10/10
The man at the front desk was very very kind, respectful, and concern about my condition. Everything went smoothly. Ive never been to urgent care so the nurses and physicians were at a fast but diligent, respectable, and very kind. Overall, I had a great experience.
This is my second time getting Telehealth care through this office. They are kind, professional, and efficient. It’s amazing that I can book an appointment and be seen within 15 minutes. Thank you!
The best urgent care the only one I use for myself and my toddler.
I made an appointment and we were able to get in and out quickly. Everyone in the facility who we talked to (check in person, Medical Assistant and Physician Assistant) was very professional and friendly. The facility itself is pleasant and clean.UPDATE 12/16/21: My original review was from September 2021. I just had another COVID test at the same facility yesterday and was once again very happy with the ease of scheduling and the service I received.
It was an overall great experience! It took me 45 minutes to get checked and I had to wait a bit to get checked, but it’s understandable given the amount of patients there and the little amount of workers. They worked hard and I got out of there better.
I went to the West Hartford office for confirmation of my positive COVID diagnosis. The care I received was perfect. The provider and his assistants were pleasant, professional and thorough. The provider, who introduced himself as Woodie, was the greatest. I would never go to a different urgent car facility.
Great results, I needed immediate attention for painful condition. I was able to schedule the appointment online with ease. Check in was friendly and efficient. Wait time was no issue.. everyone I came in contact with showed concern. I was diagnosed and given prescription that gave me almost immediate relief.. I am so satisfied with the results.. Thank you
My first time visiting this one. I was a walk in for Covid testing and the facility was clean and staff were friendly and professional. My mom had to come same day as well. They were surprisingly very thorough and performed a battery of testing and X-rays to make sure she was okay. I was very pleased and recommended this center to my friends. One thing was suspicious as they asked for my credit card to keep on file. I had insurance with no copay. My friend has same insurance and didn’t ask for hers…
I appreciate that I was seen on very short notice; I was tested, and provided with a prescription which corresponded to my condition. Thank you.
I was seen very quickly. I was surprised, because it was close to time to close, and it’s usually harder to get an appointment at other locations. I came in to discuss blood pressure and was also dealing with a significant level of anxiety over this. I was seen by someone, who I believe described herself as a PA assistant. She was extremely understanding and explained her blood pressure works to me and alleviated my specific anxieties. She even took her own blood pressure in front of me! Later on, someone came in identifying themselves as the PA, said she agreed with everything, and gave me some more detailed plans for following up.This has been my best experience with any urgent care in the state of Texas or Connecticut
The service was quick, kind and thorough. The staff was helpfull and informative. Katie was the nurse and xray tech. She was excellent. Always kept me informed. Steven was the provider. He did a careful assessment listening to my complaints. He ordered diagnostics and even consulted a radiologist to verify findings. He offered several choices for treatment and gave me the cost of each since I was a self pay. When i was discharged, I was wheeled all the way to my car. Thank you for
I took my daughter here and the doctor was knowledgeable and really great with kids. The staff was kind and gave my kids treats as they walked out. Great atmosphere.
If I only could give 0 star. Coming already second time, both times at different times, today even 3 hours prior their closing 8pm time-and can’t get a simple X-ray! Every time hear the same-“our radiologist already leaving, they’re at the door”-really? 3hrs prior closing time? “At the door” while patient needs you? How about the “Hippocrates Oath” and doctors ethics and duties? Awful care-or I should say careless! The worse experience ever!
I had a cough for over a month and walked in to be seen. It was mid-day and I didn’t have to wait long (maybe 10-15 mins). The woman at the front desk was nice and helpful getting meSet up with my new insurance. I was seen by a PA student, and after conferring with the head provider, was prescribed antibiotics for a sinus infection. I was eager to start the medication for relief, but in hindsight was surprised to realize they never listened to my lungs, looked in my throat, etc. Just prescribed antibiotics based off of symptoms that I told them. Unfortunately the medication did not work and I have been back 2 times since then for the same problem.
We waited for over two hours because there was only one provider working. That is not okay. You need more staff. When we did get to see the doctor she spent about 30 seconds with us, gave a diagnosis after barely looking at my daughter, and then sent us on our way. Absolutely unacceptable. I need to go to our pediatrician tomorrow so I can have a real conversation about whats going on.
Top rate care every time! Excellent care when you can’t wait for an office visit with you primary care physician. Mark at the front desk, is so kind, calm and compassionate that it puts everyone at ease, which is so important when we are not feeling well. And the attending nurses and physician’s assistant were amazing too. They did the necessary tests and provided excellent care and advice.
My son came to this urgent care to get a rapid Covid test. I made a walk in appointment online and also registered online. The reception was warm and helpful. He has seen quickly thereafter. The nurse was extremely friendly and worked well with children. She made him very comfortable. The physician that checked him was also child friendly and down to earth. She showed patience and was informative about symptoms. Thank you to the West Hartford team for making this appointment quick and efficient!
HORRIBLE. made me come out of pocket 130$ because my medical wasn’t working (not their fault) however the doctor didn’t even check me correctly. Literally looked at me and told me “you’re ok” “you’ll be fine”.. after I spent MONEY to be checked. On top of that the doctor made slick remarks about why I came and tried to be funny about my situation. I WILL NEVER come back here. YALL SUCK.
They were fantastic! Everyone I interacted with was professional, friendly, and competent. Paperless, painless check-in and information form. Covid-aware practices and waiting area. Friendly, concerned PAs. Sent a prescription electronically WITH my insurance information, so I didnt have to do that again at the new pharmacy. Would definitely use again and highly recommend to others!
Great experience at my visit yesterday for several reasons! All front end staff, techs, and medical providers, are kind and genuinely concerned about your health. My husband had to run an important errand and he left thinking another family member would be able to get me in time before my visit was over. I was the last patient, and it started to pour rain, thunderstorm, and lightning, office was closing and my ride fell through. Mark, front office personnel, stayed and remained in office while my husband came to pick me up so I wouldnt be waiting in the rain especially with my splint. His professionalism and kindness will never be forgotten! Thank you so much Mark for going above and beyond your professional duties! I am forever grateful :)
Both of my visits to this Urgent Care have been excellent. On my first visit I was triaged immediately because of my injury. On the second I only had to wait a few minutes for my pre scheduled appointment. The nurse who did my intake was very caring and efficient. The PA who saw me each time was very knowledgeable, thorough and compassionate. In the future, I will always choose the West Hartford urgent care when needed.
Very caring staff and accommodating to patient needs.
PA Byra (sp) was most professional and wonderful! She fixed my bloody nose.George Kirkutis
I had a wonderful experience. Wait time was very reasonable and exactly what they estimated. Staff was very kind, loving, knowledgeable and professional. They did not try to give me antibiotics as everyone else would and I appreciate it. I felt being cared for and that was important to me. It was my second time there ( first time I came with my husband) and I highly recommend this clinic. Thank you!
Great experience all around. Easy to book, quick, caring & professional service. I could not recommend more.
Worst place to go to the wait was way too long for a short visit
Went in on 8/13/23 felt very dismissed like I was making up my issue. No bedside manner. Went to my pcp to follow up on 8/14/23 and immediately they sent me to get an X-ray and prescribed antibiotics . Very disappointed with the treatment.
Excellent customer service! I would recommend and refer this Urgent Care to whomever looking to be seen by trustworthy professionals. 🙏🏽👍🏾👍🏾🤝🏾
I got a same day appt. and was seen quickly. Staff was friendly, prompt and thorough. Couldnt ask for more.
Peter and his intern were thorough and efficient and very friendly staff up front as well.Thank you!
I have been there a bunch of times since I moved to Hartford and they’re always really great. The doctors have never been rude and often are still more to the point than primary care physicians, but that’s actually good because they just give you the information you need very clearly and in a way that’s easy to understand. The other staff have also always been great, the nurses and PAs are always super nice, and I always seem to get Cory when I come in. He’s the best. He gives the fastest least awkward covid swabs, and he’s otherwise really thorough and attentive. The offices are really nice and clean, and they give you nice tissues and hand sanitizer. The wait times for me are usually about 20-30 min with an appointment, but that’s about what I expect from a primary care, and an urgent care it’s usually at least an hour, so I actually think it’s really impressive.Overall it’s my favorite urgent care in the Hartford area, and I really recommend it!
All staff treated me in professional manner. Also, the wait time was short. Thank you!
My family and I were in a bind to get tested for an upcoming flight. Last night, we walked into urgent care, where we were greeted by very helpful receptionists. After a short wait, we received our swabs from a kind nurse, and then the doctor came in to explain next steps.Just 24 hours later, we have received the results of our tests. Thank you, PhysicianOne Urgent Care for the quick, seamless, pleasant, and courteous experience!
The staff is friendly and caring. Service was quick. I always have a good experience when I go there.
I was experiencing extreme discomfort and knew I needed medical attention. After checking to ensure they were in network, I went to this neighborhood urgent care establishment. In this age of covid, I was impressed with their procedures to keep me and their medical staff safe. Very friendly and welcoming. I had a very good experience. At the end, they were also able to treat me in house and I left very comfortable and healed.
The more I think about my appointment at PhysicianOne Urgent Care in West Hartford, the more baffled I am. Right off the bat: it doesnt matter what time you make an appointment at Solv. Youre always going to wait. The wait here is typically 15+ minutes after your appointment time. This most recent time was a 45 minute wait. And again I say, I made an appointment, I wasnt a walk-in. Who knows how long they would have to wait? Then we get to the actual appointment, I tell them my symptoms, and I tell them what I think I have (after talking to a family friend who is a medical provider) just in case. And the provider proceeds to tell me that I dont want [condition]. But want doesnt factor into it. I dont WANT anything. I dont WANT to be at urgent care. And then he goes on to say that even though I have every single one the symptoms of this condition, its contagious so I dont want it. But because its contagious, wouldnt I want to know if I have it? So I dont spread it? Not according to this provider. And to test for this, he couldve just given me the equipment for a stool sample, especially since its a simple test to take considering, yknow, that I have all of the symptoms of a contagious infection. In the end, he prescribed me anti-nausea medication even though that wasnt my primary symptom. I didnt even bother to fill the prescription because I can control nausea without a pill. So, it was a waste of a $20 co-pay and an hour. Dont go here.
I went there with my child. Signed in and did the paper work. Then was told the receptionist is on break still and won’t be getting off break for another 30 minutes. This place shouldn’t be called urgent care! Nothing about this establishment is urgent.
I was at Physician One Urgent Care in West Hartford two days ( 8/8 ) the entire staff was great , from the check in point to discharge process. Provider Steven Sasso PA was very concerned about my visit and really went beyond, to schedule my ultra sound appt process. Followed up same day and the following day to discuss the results. Great place and staff , strong recommendation for those urgent needs. If needed in future will always go back for medical services. 5 stars service from me.
I needed to have my injured food crated on a Sunday less than an hour before closing. I called and was told to come right in. A staff member was waiting with a wheelchair as she saw I was having difficulty walking. Everyone I saw from the intake person to the X-ray people was very warm and kind. It turned out my foot was broken. They patiently fitted me with a boot and crutches and gave me clear instructions and a referral to an orthopedic doctor for follow up. I could not have asked for a better experience or kinder, more professional staff. If I ever have the need for urgent care (and hopefully I will not) this will be my go to place. I would like to thank everyone for their friendliness, professionalism and kindness!
Everyone here was friendly, caring and welcoming. They even helped me figure out what 2hrs on the phone with insurance could not, which was that my insurance send me a wrong ID number. After that I was seen and taken care of in a very reasonable amount of time and got my issue taken care of. I would definitely recommend them
1st I had to fill out all my forms on lineThen still give my insurance and ID cardbut I scan my insurance on line didnt understand that. 😒 😕 😐Then the receptionist was not very helpful.I was ask for my debit or credit card. I told the receptionist I want to cash she ok but the service was charge take from my debit card.I came to this location in the past and was pleased with the service not this time.
The nursing and technical staff were great and very helpful. My only slight dissatisfaction was that when I first walked in and was reporting nausea and asked for some kind of emergency basin, the desk person said there was a bathroom next to the waiting room. What if I hadn’t been able to make it or didn’t want to hang over a public toilet? They gave me a basin later which they told me they were going to throw away after I left. That should have been offered initially.
Appointment scheduling and check in was easy. Staff was positive with great demeanor.Dr. listened and asked questions. He was smart and approachable.Definitely recommend.
Brought my 2 year old daughter to PhysicianOne Urgent care, completely by accident I was trying to go to a Pediatric walk-in. The best mistake I have ever made by far. They immediately made us feel like we were in the right place. They worked fast, gentle and efficient with my little girl, whom ended up having two broken bones in her left arm. I would recommend this facility to any and everyone, I am so thankful that I stumbled upon them and will use them for any medical emergency that ever occurs in the future. Hats off to Dr. Stacy and Staff for being simply amazing.
The ability to schedule an appointment online and do all the necessary paperwork was a real time saver. Arrived 15 minutes before scheduled time and was taken in shortly after. Staff was friendly and caring and made you feel comfortable. The facility was clean and took all appropriate COVID precautions. Very pleased with the entire experience.
I had a 104.5 degree fever for 24 hours. I called and was told I could be seen immediately. After an hour and a half I left and went to the er because they wouldn’t tell me when I could be scene
I went to Physician One Urgent Care in West Hartford yesterday morning. The front desk worker, Mike, provided excellent customer service. He explained the check in process throughly with clear directions. Even though the staff were very apologetic about the wait time, I believed I was in and out in a timely manner. Everybody was hospitable and very attentive to my needs. I would recommend this Urgent Care to anybody!
Wow so much I can say about this place! I felt so welcomed omg even over the phone the people were so pleasant . The time I walked through the door the young man and woman was so nice to me. They told me I would be okay not to worry. The bed side manner is beyond amazing they were patient and wanted to hear about any concerns I had. They were so through all I did is come for a covid test they went beyond to make sure my health was good! Thank you so much for being kind and doing a great job and making me feel welcomed.
This clinic is very clean but I couldnt even tell you what my PA looked like because she was in and out of my room so fast. It wasnt even crowded. I believe there was only one other patient in the clinic and she arrived as I was leaving. I will never go back there. I was not looking for speed. I was looking for a conversation with a doctor about my issue. I would have been satisfied with five minutes. A close friend raved about how thorough they were with her-not my experience though.
My son and I went for a COVID-19 test since we were experiencing cold symptoms (fully vaccinated). The folks at the reception area were warm and welcoming. When I went to the car to get our water bottles, the young man told me he would have offered us bottled water and even checked to make sure what we had was cold enough to drink. The staff who saw us was kind and helpful as well. We even witnessed them handle a potentially contentious situation with someone looking for a prescription. They listened, were empathetic, & offered advice without compromising their stance. Anytime you have to go to a walk-in is stressful. It is always helpful when the people there do their best to be a calming and friendly source.
Receptionist was very nice and greeting. Gave me an extra mask because I didn’t have one with me. The man that conducted my drug test was very affable. He didn’t make me feel uncomfortable either! 10/10 experience
Have always had a good experience there (how can it be great, Im sick if Im there, lol). Staff and providers are knowledgeable and respectful. I also have used the telemed services which I recommend if appropriate for your condition.
Excellent service! I was brought in quickly and seen by the PA quickly. Allie the PA was very thorough and did not make me feel rushed out the door without answers or just jump to a COVID conclusion. I really appreciate that considering how sick I was feeling.
Receptionist canceled my appointment at 7:10 while I was in the parking lot and told me they don’t accept patients after 7:10 even though they are open until 8 for walk-in patients. I actually thought this was very inconsiderate being as how i was already there. Not very patient oriented urgent care at all
I’d give it 0 if I could. Came back to double check to make sure i was clear of some testings that i did. Cole or whatever his name is it starts with a C he works in the morning, made me feel very uncomfortable in the sense that I felt as though I was “wasting” his time. His attitude is uncalled for and lo and behold my fear of still having what i came to retest for came back positive!! (I went to a different place to get tested) and it came back positive. So cole or whatever ur name is, your eyeroll in that room was uncalled for. Symptoms or not I have the right to make sure everything is gone. I hope this reaches higher ups and they can talk to you about your attitude. Definiley uncalled for.
A very long wait due to an emergency but once seen I was so pleased. The waiting area has been enlarged to make sure there is proper distancing, the technician who drew my Covid test was fast and efficient and the one who had to sign off on the test was lovely and very helpful. I received my results in one day
I went in for for a pretty nasty cut to my finger that required stitches. The front desk staff was caring and personable and got me in to see a PA very quickly. She and her medical assistant were amazing. They chatted with me, kept me calm and kept me distracted while taking care of my wound. The medical assistant even held my hand. I never thought I’d smile and laugh while getting stitches! No one wants to go to urgent care ever, but if you have to go, this is should be your first choice.
From beginning to end an excellent experience. From my initial phone call Mark was accommodating and answered all my questions. He listened to my concerns, was interested and made NO mistakes. The woman who gathered my information and performed my tests was wonderful. I was fearful she would hurt me but it was the opposite. She was gentle and explained each procedure. The PA who diagnosed me was also excellent. She listened to my concerns and I felt that she really knew her stuff. She immediately knew without my input that I had virtigo. A condition that I struggle with daily and although it wasnt why I went to Urgent Care it overshadows and complicates all else that I am dealing with. Even an ENT misdiagnosed me. She explained clearly what I needed to know and what I should do going forward. Overall a wonderful experience for me. This was my first visit to an Urgent Care, if I had to return I wouldnt hesitate. I would also recommend this facility to others. They took really good care of me.
Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful and wanted to help provide care. Making an online appointment was very easy and getting into the appointment was timely when I did arrive. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care!!
Have been using their service for years, for me and my children. they are always kind , waiting time is nothing (at most I had to wait 30 minutes, but sometimes even less than 5) very professional and knowledgeableThe best urgent care I have ever used.and since they are open late - I can always go there in the evening with my kids when their PCP office is already closed and this is something I dont want to wait until I can schedule an appointment with my PCP
Excellent service no wait time very competent individuals I will return here again before I go to my walk-in clinic thats closer to me I wont leave their number but they didnt excellent job and I am very pleased
The service was great! The wait not so much. Next time I will make an appointment where wait times are minimal. They limit the number of COVID testing so the backlog is more manageable. It just translates into less people being seen, even after calling the main hotline and being referred to the site.
They were all pleasant and nice.
I walked into this place for the first time and I was greeted with smiles. Everyone were personable, compassionate and thorough. It had this feel of home and I will go back there in the future. Great job, guys! You put the plus in patient care😃Diana
Wait was a bit but other clients needed attention too. Once w providers they were courteous, thorough & professional. My default one in.
The receptionist was nice over the phone and when I got there she was welcoming. The nurse on staff was beyond understanding and very empathetic. I busted my thumb really bad - she saw that I was in pain and moved quickly. The P.A. was prompt and friendly as well. My sister who is a registered nurse told me to go there - Im so glad I listened. Lastly their hours are convenient, I went on a Saturday.
I chose this provider and location because it’s right up the street from my house. They advertise drive-through coronavirus testing. When I arrived, there was no indication of where one should drive to or park to have someone test me. I had to call the office several times to get someone to come to the car. And, even after making an appointment and being there 10 minutes ahead of time and filling out paperwork online before I arrived, the wait was over a half hour. Seems to defeat the whole purpose of drive up testing. This is a big deal as it relates to increasing rates of testing because people do not like being punished for something even when it is important to them. Waiting in an empty parking lot with no other people in front of me for half an hour puts me off and probably most other people. Alternatively, the nurse who came to do the test could not have been nicer. She was efficient warm and full of good Information.
Check in lady was awesome. However the paperwork involved to sign in was cumbersome difficult and not really easy to do when youre not feeling well.
This was great service! The staff and nurse were very accommodating and I was treated by a doctor named Peter who was awesome! Very friendly as well.
This is the second negative experience I have had here. The first time, I went in for an eye infection and was left waiting in the room for over an hour. I thought maybe they were having a busy day so I waited patiently but finally had had enough and when I went out, I was told i was completely forgotten about and wasted an hour of my day. This time, I just went in for a simple covid text which should have taken 5 minutes but again took over an hour because I was forced to give vitals and wait for a provider which is extremely unnecessary for a nose swab when I didn’t even have any symptoms and was doing the test out of precaution. I proceeded to wait over 30 minutes for my cards to be processed and another 30 for the provider just to simply walk in and tell me the test was negative. Given the shortages in healthcare right now and the fact that contact should be minimized due to a highly contagious pandemic, this seems like a very counterproductive system. Will not be going back.
Let me just say this is the best urgent care I have been too. The guy at the front desk answered all my questions and helped my father step by step. They were very caring and took him almost immediately. I am in another state and they stayed on the phone with me to explain what is going on with my father.amazing! You do not see that kind of care anymore. Highly recommend
I received excellent care and attention. I fell and injured my knee and the doctor was very caring and knowledgeable. The center is clean and the staff is pleasant and helpful especially the front desk clerk. This urgent care was recommended to me and I would recommend it to anyone.
Unfortunately there is a dr here that that does not listen to the patients. He does not care what you tell him about your past history or what’s going on. I felt very much like I was just some stupid woman who knows nothing when he was talking to me. A few drs here are wonderful but unfortunately this one ruins it for everyone. This was the last straw for me. I will not go to an office who talks down to woman and makes them feel unheard. I wasted an entire day here and ended up having to go to a different dr the following day because he didn’t listen and I still needed care.
I met with a Juanita during my appointment. This was about a month ago. I have been debating leaving a review, but i feel it is necessary. I informed her of my health concerns which was ear pain and congestion in my chest. She examined my ears, and told me she saw nothing. I asked her to look again, then she said she saw some redness and told me it was swimmers ear. She did nothing about my chest pain, she told me she was likely allergies.I am 30 years old. I am not a hypochondriac. I know when there is a problem. She didnt even listen to my lungs or check my breathing, she simply told me to open my mouth and said she saw nothing. Two days later I went to my walk-in clinic I have been going to since I was little, and turned out that I had a nasty ear infection and needed a medicated inhaler as well as antibiotics to avoid pneumonia. She did not listen to my concerns, I wasted my time, and I really didnt appreciate it. I have never experienced anything like it in my life.I have spread the word, and it is a shame I was unable to receive care or professional treatment. Not happy, not coming back. 0 stars if I could.
DO NOT USE THIS URGENT CARE. VERY poor service. I called the West Hartford Urgent Care and they told me to bring my 94-year-old mom in to get tested for a urinary tract infection. I’m a small gal & have no family help. It is very hard for me to lug my mom’s wheelchair in and out of my car. When we got to the Urgent Care, the APRN Rachel came to the lobby, refused to test my mom’s urine, and told me to take her to the hospital. I exploded, and was livid. I told her that I had called in and the front desk advised me to bring my mom in. But, no amount of pleading would get this lady to just test my mom’s urine. Mom and I were both very upset. I ultimately drove my mom back to an Avon urgent care, and they had no issues or concerns about testing her for a urinary tract infection. I will never never, never, never go back to the “physicians care urgent care center“ in West Hartford, CT. Their service and attitude are just horrible and uncaring. And, after today I have now injured my shoulder as a result of pulling my mom’s wheelchair in and out of the car so many times, thanks to them.
My daughter had some issues going on when online set an appointment which is quite easy and registered her before getting there we were probably seeing and had whatever test needed done taking care of. The staff was extra friendly had great bedside manner and we were in and out in a very decent time manner I would definitely refer and go back again.
Everyone was so nice, especially the receptionist! We are Pisces 😊 wait time wasn’t bad at all either.
Fast! Friendly! Efficient! Mark was great! :-)
Courteous staff. Visited during covid times for a covid test, and instructions were very clear and well marked and easy to follow. I typically really dont enjoy doctor office visits but this was a really positive experience. Everyone was very nice, knowledgeable, prompt. Had an appointment and it started on time.
The wait was -understandably-long for a Covid test the day before Thanksgiving, but the staff was extremely friendly and professional. Shout out to Brandy who really went the extra mile to help and to make us feel comfortable.
I had a very odd experience at this location for a precautionary covid test. I expected a long wait time, but an hour and a half was excessive. When I walked in one of the technicians was not wearing a mask and was talking about me as I was standing infront of her for a minute or two before anyone asked what I was waiting for. She also did not have her mask on (but put it on once we were in the room together) and did not use gloves when doing the swab. The swab itself was also very nonchalant and not like the others Ive had that go pretty far up the nasal cavity. The lack of care all around was pretty unexpected for in a health care facility. The PCP was nice and my visit was very short. My co-worker also had a test done right after me and she was taken care of above and beyond and had an entirely different and positive experience than I did, which is what makes my experience so odd.
I’ve been to this facility twice. And each time I’ve had to make a visit, I’ve had the best care. The staff is welcoming, professional and kind and the the providers are skilled, knowledgeable attentive. As a clinician myself, I have an idea what it takes to give good care. This Physician One Urgent Care site is an asset to the community.
Past experiences with my female provider were excellent until I saw this most recent provider (which is why I gave a 2) ...I have been to the West Hartford location 3 times since the new owners took over. Past 2 times were wonderful. I believe I saw the same female provider twice once for myself who was very compassionate, provided X-Rays and was able to send me on my way. The wait time was slightly longer than I would have liked but staff was friendly and the facility was clean. The second time I came here for one of my children. The wait was very long even though I had an appointment and we were in the car. However, the MA and the provider (both female) was super nice with my young child. She gave him a full inspection, conducted a full rapid test and sent out the PCR. She shared with me her thoughts as to her suspicions of his cold were likely allergies but we were airing on the side of caution. She never stated he would need to stay home from school an additional 10 days if his results from the PCR were negative. She simply said he could be fine to go back but we were pending results. At the time I had not called his nurse at school but when we left the nurse at school asked for a note rather than a result per school requirements so I waiting for my appointment with my other child the following morning to ask for this request. The third time was a complete different story. We had an appointment, wait time was minimal and he went right back to have his testing. His Rapid also came back negative but I had asked the provide if he would be able to write a note for my child seen yesterday biding the PCR is negative so they could return back to school the next day. Being I am in healthcare, i found this to be a normal and reasonable request. This provider- Stephen Gobielle PA-C was extremely rude telling me he would NOT be writing a letter for my child seen the day before bc even if they have a negative PCR test they had symptoms and there is a slight chance with a negative PCR he could still be positive. In my year of testing and experience with COVid, I have had many PCR tests done for me and my family from many different locations and urgent care facilities this message Stephen was trying to share was something I had never heard. I even reached out to his pediatrician and nurse at school who were both in agreement that this was completely absurd. Not only did he NOT want to write me a note, he was extremely rude and combative during our conversation saying to me in the room that life sucks some times. WOW SO UNProfessional. PhysicianOne if you want my business again this PA-C should not be a part of yours. This is not an appropriate way to speak to a client EVER I dont care how tired or overworked you are. NEVERUPDATE- I received a call from a different doctor (Dr. Kenkare) who oversees the west Hartford location and she was very compassionate and understanding to our ordeal. She was able to discuss that they will be re-training their staff around this process for COVID testing patient and expectations with symptoms. We both agreed the behavior provided at our appointment from Stephen was not professional and the PA was made aware of the complaint. He has apologized to Dr.Kenkare for his behavior however not to me personally. I feel happy she reached out to get the bottom of the issue and took time to investigate. It does appear that they want to do things right and do appreciate the honest feedback because thats the only way to continue to improve. So I do feel that this situation was handled appropriately and wanted to make everyone aware.
Good day all,First, let me state that, the service was great. My previous post of 2 stars was clearly an accident. The staff was very professional, friendly, accommodating and quick to respond. Im here on visit from Chicago and it feels really comforting to be in someone elses space and be comforted and welcomed. THANKS PhysicanOne you made my day easier and brighter. Definitely 5 stars.
Clean office, friendly staff. Very quick in and out with no issue.
The front desk staff is extremely welcoming. The medical staff is knowledgeable and easy to talk too. They are comforting. I told my friends about it.I do not like leaving the place!
