Consistently a terrible experience. Transferred into the practice at 32 weeks--this was my 5th pregnancy so I had an idea what to expect and what standard care looks like. Getting appointments at this practice was a nightmare because they have WAY too many patients and not enough doctors.I was consistently told there was nothing on the schedule and they would call me--or I could see an NP. I preferred to meet with doctors and not NPs past 36 weeks and I had to fight for every appointment. There was also very poor communication between practitioners. I was not informed of a test result that impacted my pregnancy until I checked in to be delivered at the hospital. The poor treatment continued postpartum when they told me they could only schedule me 9 weeks out...you should be seen at 6 weeks postpartum for standard care. I fought hard for a 6 week appointment only to have them cancel it and not call me to let me know my appointment no longer existed. This practice is a hot mess right now...

Still scared from the last stroke epidural reaction and the unnecessary hemorrhage. Never complained since I survived of pure will power and that extra pitocin. Now there are no appointments available and the ultrasound is opposite of accommodating. Only giving one option on the last day possible for certain tests and routine things. Too short staffed. Poor communication. I always have to call and initiate the lab work or appointments. Then my “reasonableness” is marked with sarcasm. For some reason the medical students are interested. Residents overly caution on the wrong things while still mistakes on bigger things.... Too short staffed. Hire faster.Fast forward to 2023No appointments available. Feel absolutely Neglected, misunderstood, passed over to anyone, I show up to their created appointment totally inconvenient for me but I don’t want to appear non compliant so I show up to incorrect schedules testing and employees confused and don’t want to help me. I’ve been kind and waiting without causing an issue. I don’t even know who to complain to anymore. You didn’t put in the orders in correctly over and over again and I’m Being abandoned. I’m tried of calling daily with no results. I’ll just have the baby at home myself.

I transferred to this office pretty late in the game... about 32 weeks into my pregnancy when the office i was going too sent me to UMass memorial. I had my first baby here last Wednesday January 3rd 2018. I delivered via c section 37 weeks 5 days. I literally get goosebumps thinking about doctor Leftwich and her staff. I was actually laughing during my surgery and my boyfriend and I had the best experience /day of our lives. From the nurses coming to see me (even if they werent assigned to me would come see me days after ) and my daughter Penelope rose checking in with Me(Courtenay,Rebecca,Kathryn) to the AMAZING anesthesoloist Dave. I literally am honored to have worked with such an oustanding staff. The dietary director Dawn personally came to my room when she noticed I wasnt ordering a lot of food (I just was not hungry )...food was delicious...she gave me her personal number and told me she would literally make anything I want even if it wasnt on the menu. The only thing about the office is the delay time when coming to your appointments. But u need to remember the patients are all considered high risk and very important/serious Mayers pop up without notice. So have patients because you are literally using the best hospital in the country to welcome your bundle of joy!!!my family and I love you Dr leftwich and staff!!!
