They refused to take the DOT test because my blood pressure was a little above the normal range. I can understand that because of this abnormality I could not be tested but if DOT is the main goal I can not understand why I can only return after 1 year. However, a persons blood pressure can increase or decrease from one moment to another depending on multiple reasons. Unless there were other complications that I was not informed about.
This urgent care was clean. The receptionists were very nice and welcoming. The medical assistant I saw was extremely friendly and resourceful. The male doctor Timothy was phenomenal. He was able to make sure I got the adequate care I needed.
It took about 2 1/2 hours to be seen. My name was called when I was in the bathroom. Person at the desk told the nurse that I wasnt there. I came out of the bathroom and they still took someone else ahead of me. Said they would come right back to get me. They did not. My blood pressure was dangerously high. I waited 2 1/2 hours to then be sent to the hospital. I told them when I went in that my pressure was very high and my heart was fluttering. My case should have had some kind of priority. The hospital immediately gave me an EKG and blood tests. Would not recommend for anything more than a cold.
The receptionist went above and beyond to help me since I got there w out the papers I needed she helped me print them out and wasn’t annoyed. Then the nurse called me in and she was really helpful and super super nice also plus she was knowledgeable at the same time very attentive. The doctor was nice also plus she got it done quick w put me feeling rushed it was a great overall experience thank you guys very much keep up the great work
AFC is excellent at diagnosing an issue. I have been a patient for many years and am always so pleased with the treatment I receive. Staff is always helpful and pleasant.
Ive been to different urgent care a few times and its never a pleasant experience. But I have to sayy experience at AFC Worcester was exceptional. Got a person on the phone quickly, she was helpful beyond what she had to do. Got there and checked in fast and got cared for properly by a very friendly gentleman and walked right out. I wont go anywhere else now.
Everyone was great! Took me in to see what they could do for me even though initially it was believed based on symptoms that the facility couldnt help. In the end set me for who could directly help that would call within a week. Also gave me a second recommendation for what I would need to get better.
Brought my grandson in. They were great as far as cleanliness, professionalism and caring staff. The only thing that was hard was the extremely long wait in the exam room. I understand they had a major emergency walk in. I’m sure they are short staffed like everywhere. Great place for emergency walk in care on weekends.
As a walk in with no appointment. I waited less than 45min. I thought that was good. It couldve been longer. The medical Assistant were outstanding. Very patient & cheerful.
I had a such pleasant experience at AFC Worcester. I doubted I was going to be seen with my two year old because it was 10 mins before close on a Friday night, but the facility and their staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. The woman checking us in made sure we weren’t turned away, the nursing staff that took us to the back greeted us with a smile and was super sweet, and the provider was very cheerful and pleasant as well. She was able to quickly diagnose my baby and prescribe meds. The facility is also next to a 24hr pharmacy which was also very helpful.I DO NOT recommend going so close to when AFC closes because they did stay after-hours to see us but they didnt make me feel bad about it at all.
Staff very clear and courteous. Nurse was prompt and efficient. Provider was excellent. Gave rationale for his recommendations and we felt we learned a lot. We definitely plan on returning to their Stafford office for future care. It saves us literally 5 hours of waiting in triage line at hospital emergency room. AFC even does in house X-rays.
I live in Southbridge and left my house running because I kept checking my place in line and it said 5 people before me my appt was at 1:30. I got there at 1:28 and the app stated I was up next. They called 2 people ahead of me. When I said something they said there was only 1 Provider and that they were running a little late. I was brought in a room at 2:00 and I was out at 2:40pm. I wasnt mad because I work in the medical field and all the rooms were full for 1 Provider so she was doing her best and going at a good pace to be by herself. I was prescribed something and was out by 2:40 all and all it was way pretty quick. Faster than the ER.
I was able to make an appointment online. I was seen in a timely fashion. All staff were courteous. Nurses were very nice, including the nurse in training. The doctor was very nice as well, guided my care and answered my questions.
We wont be returning to this Urgent Care. Weve visited in the past and the doctors were friendly, but today we discovered they have a new mandatory policy requiring patients to keep a credit card on file. Ive never been asked to do this before. In fact, Im writing this review from another UC in Worcester, where they didn’t even ask for a credit card and were happy to bill me directly, just as I requested at this AFC location but was told its their new policy. The receptionist claimed that all urgent cares are like this and offered to check with her manager, but by that point, I no longer wanted to stay and new she was not being honest by making this claim. We use a flexible spending health card for medical expenses, and I prefer to be billed to avoid potential issues with insurance companies or billing errors. Moreover, I don’t feel comfortable leaving my credit card information on file due to the risk of data breaches. We wont be coming back—we’re willing to drive 20 minutes to an urgent care that better meets our needs and that doesnt require people to have their credit cards stored.
I have never been to an Urgent Care ever. For a first time my experience was excellent.I must say everyone I encountered was very helpful & professional. Starting with the person at the front desk who came from behind her desk to help a patient to the person who came to get me & of course the PA. Thank you everyone for making my visit uneventful.
Great experience! If you have ever had a problem with ear wax you may appreciate this. I got my ears unblocked and cleaned from the ear wax that was deafening me! I want to thank the Dr. PA, the staff at the reception desk and everyone at AFC urgent care. I am a very happy customer 😊
1) they list online that they do x-rays, but they have no tech to run the x-ray machine ever! They should have a note on their local location. I can’t imagine a parent coming in with a child with a fractured arm thinking they’re gonna get an x-ray and a cast and then have to still go to the ER in the end!2) the P.A. Was awesome (the ONLY reason I have 3 stars instead of 2!) But, the Med tech woman was one of the most unfriendly people I’ve seen in healthcare!
Excellent service I went without an appointment and 20 minutes I got in with a doctor! One of the ladies at the front helped me filling out the form, very good service! 👌
The staff here are wonderful. For my first time, I was satisfied with the care and attentiveness the staff provided. I will not hesitate to come here next time I feel ill. Thank you all for your professionalism.
The staff on today Saturday 6/15/24 at the Stanford st. AFC were absolutely amazing!! 🤩 The nurse and the doctor were quick and concise and were very nice with my daughter and myself! 😊
Went for ankle pain and was told by the doctor that they werent orthopedic and there was nothing they could do and shuffled me out. The only reason its 2 stars instead of 1 is the XRay tech was really nice and professional. However they said I would get a call with my results after an hour, called them an hour and 45 minutes AFTER the time they SHOULD have called to be told no one has looked at them and I would hear by end of day... No call ever came....
There is a little male PA at this place that was so incredibly rude to me on the phone after I had called to speak with him about the sick visit I experienced with him. Which was rushed and incomplete. I spent a total of 2 hours here and received less than 5 minutes total the PA. My initial person or nurse who did my intake was really nice. He did a great job getting symptom info and medical history from us. We talked to him for awhile about what we are experiencing and he listened. I’m assuming the PA did not have any kind of conversation with the other guy before coming in the room with us because the PA quite literally did next to no physical exam for any of the symptoms (like cough, mucus, difficulty breathing, fevers) we were having. He seemed stuck on one of several symptoms I mentioned which was my throat being extremely sore and us being exposed to strep. When that came back negative wouldn’t a doctor normally address the other symptoms because clearly I have a fever I’m coughing, my throat is red, I feel awful enough to have come into urgent care, there could be an infection somewhere else. He didn’t even listen to my lungs?? When I called back after doing my own research online about fevers, green phlegm, being sick for as long as I have I found everything saying infection. His little ego was so embarrassed that I had called back and tattled on him for not doing his job he tried to gaslight me into believing he was unaware of any other symptoms but the throat even though quite literally documented in my chart there is many other red flag symptoms for infection. He ended this all by saying “sorry I didn’t tell you what you wanted to hear” after spending 15 minutes just so angry with me on the phone as I tried to advocate for my own health care since I am a grown adult who has been sick like this before and who knows their own body. It was crazy the disrespect really has me hoping their phone lines are recorded so I can post the conversation online
I was very happy with my visit! Everyone from the front desk staff to the doctor were so friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend this urgent care to others!
Had a very positive experience here, particularly in comparison to recent esperience at other local urgent cares. I was seen relatively promptly (within 15 minutes of my appointment time) and both the medical assistant and PA that saw me were very attentive and courteous.
I had a appointment for pre-employment at 11:30. Ended up being taken back at 12:30 just to wait more. Lady who did my drug screen was rude. She also didnt do the drug test properly. After she took my urine cup she left it uncapped and went to another room. I never seen her put the cover on. Leaves me to believe who knows what she couldve done to my urine.
My experience at AFC was over the top with excellence! The staff and Brian the PA that helped me were outstanding, personalable and professional! I highly recommend them!
Dr. High was so helpful in explaining her assessment and treatment recommendations and options. She was reassuring and she pleasantly answered all of my questions. Couldn’t ask for better care
The Medical assistant was respectful and polite. The NP did his assessment and do to what I has happened to me in the past mouth with health issues, he expressed to me he couldnt assist bc I need medication by IV . All the staff were compassionate and empathetic.. but I reported to ER and they assisted with medication.
I got here at 12:35 filled out the tablet by 12:45. The lady at the front says she will check me in from her end and not to do the form on my phone and to sit. I said great thanks. Thirty minutes later calls me up to fill out the form on my phone as now there calling walk ins that was here well after me. I now been waiting two hours and every walk in has been called before. Super rude staff. Would not recommend
I got hit with the flu. I tried calling my health center but they didnt have any openings for days, seriously! Its impossible to get an appointment anytime of the year.I went online and registered with AFC. It was simple. Take a pic of my ID front and back and take a pic of my health insurance front and back and then I was registered. It asked me to choose a time slot that Id like my appointment that day and just like that, I saw a doctor and got a sick note to be out of work for a few days. This is so much easier than the big Health Center. Its quick and simplified. Plenty of doctors and nurses. They literally are a mini ER with out the 8 hour wait. Ive been there 3 times this year. I highly recommend American Family Care. Skip the ER. Theyre open until 8pm 7 days a week. 5 stars for professionalism and convenience.
PA was friendly and caring, but receptionist needs to speak louder and have a better personality. To dry and not a friendly attitude. Seem aggravated to be at work.
I went in and was seen in less then 20 minutes. They provided compassionate care and made sure I understood what I could do to help my symptoms. I am so thankful!
If I could give zero I would. Waited over 2 hoursto be seen for my apoitment that was scheduled two weeks prior . Just to have the room lights shut off on me 5 times before I decided to walk out of the apoitment because I had to get to an apoitment for my child. I informed the ladies behind the desk I had to leave by a certain time because of my childs apoitment and they said that they would have the doctor come rite in and never did. So this place sucks and if I never go back in wont hurt my feelings.
PA Patel and front desk staff Hailey (not sure how she spells it) went above and beyond to help me get my prescriptions. Medical assistant was also very nice.
I had to get a physical for my new job and dont have a doctor. AFC made it convenient and easy to get that done. I was in and out pretty quickly! Good experience.
This place is a joke. I went in for a DOT physical which they dont know how to do properly. The staff is not properly trained. I will never use theyre services again. In my opinion if theyre not properly trained they should not be providing said services. The one star is only because its required to post here I would give them 0 stars.
Staff was great! Receptionist friendly. Nurse Taylor welcoming snd efficient.PA Patel thorough and efficient. And not much wait time!Highly recommend.
Doctor was great. However, the nurse / assistant that brought me into the room was rude. Laughed at my weight and height answers. Room was filthy, looked like feces on the ground. Not my first time here, usually is clean and good service.
Very clean very friendly very nice doctor i was a little late for my appointment but when I got there they ended up taking me within 10 minutes I recommend this highly
The receptionist was awesome. The Dr. was excellent, very caring and patient. There was no wait. Check in was fast and simple.
All of the men and women who work there are one of the best medical professionals that I ever came across. Love this place and will use urgent care again thanks for the help
Willingness to work with me to find the source of my infection. Patient and pleasant. Id go here again, despite ReadyMed in Auburn being closer to my address for the customer service and knowledgeable staff.
This was my first time visiting AFC Urgent Care. Service was wonderful. Appointment was right on time which was extremely appreciated.
Very good experience, excellent team and practitioner. We will be back. We had a walk-in for a sick preschooler, and were seen much faster than I’d expected. And the team was kind and compassionate even with a not so compliant little patient. One day out the medicine has eased symptoms, much better than before we went.I had also gone a year prior for equally high quality care. We are certain to return as many things happen and you feel more confident knowing where good medical care can be found. We appreciate AFC and the team.
The professions at AFC Urgent Care Worcester are amazing! I have always had a great experience at this facility. The staff all seemed to enjoy what they are doing and want to be at work to help people. They are courteous and kind.
This place is amazing. I have done save a spot at other urgent cares and never were close to calling me at the time I saved. It would be hours after. The nurse and doctor were so nice and through and quick. They even send my prescriptions over with in second. I got the text that it was send from my pharmacy while I was sitting waiting for the the doctor to come back! Definitely will recommend this place to others!
I was not happy trying to get an X-Ray tech only to find out that even though i had a fracture, they gave me a brace and said go to your Orthopedic Dr. I wouldn’t have bothered going there if I knew they really couldn’t help me.
Dr. High and the staff, including the friendly lady at the front desk treated my daughter with utmost care and concern. They were wonderful.
Love the fact you can make an appointment and also pre-register on-line. Was seen at my time and no need for any other on-site information. No uncertainty and no sitting for hours hoping to be seen. The health care was excellent as well.
Easy to schedule an appointment online. Very friendly staff. Wait time was not long at all like I have run into at other clinics.
Due to an “abnormal” ekg, incorrect blood pressure and oxygen blood level the patient was sent by ambulance to the ER. Mind you the original complaint was pain in shoulder/neck region. At the ER the ekg, blood pressure and oxygen levels were well within the normal limits. This company MUST invest in more accurate equipment. I am now having to pay for everything at the hospital due to their negligence.
We moved here 4 months ago. First PCP appt not until June. My skin condition noticeable for a month. I was taken and seen in a reasonable wait and left with a prescription for 2 ointment and a plan: well done.
I brought my daughter and the nurse was so patient with her. I was very impressed and very thankful.
The Hispanic woman at the front desk (I forget her name) was so informative and went above and beyond to help me as I forgot my daughter s insurance card. The PA was great too and reassuringly to my baby
Did not have x rays available. told me my wrist MIGHT be broken and left w no diagnosis at all
The nursing staff are wonderful... thats the only saving grace that allowed me to award two stars. The receptionist is incredibly unprofessional, breaking every HIPAA law possible and by far the most rude human being I have had the displeasure of running into. Do not expect privacy or compassion but do expect her not to listen and then get even saltier when you call her out. The physician was okay but mildly condescending and didnt transcribe my issues as I explained them to her which caused further issues as it is designated as my occupational health facility.
Nurse was very friendly courteous and kind. She asked all the appropriate questions. Very thoughtful. Dr was was great and cared about my symptoms. Prescribed me the appropriate meds. Over all it was a great experience. 100% recommend
Taken 30 minutes after my appointment time and then took 1 hour to get a Covid, flu, and strep test w/ results for myself and daughter. Way way way too long of a wait.
My experience was a 10, receptionists very helpful and the Dr was so thorough plus the place AFC on Stafford was immaculate.
The facility is clean and there is sufficient space to maintain social distancing. All of the front staff were very kind and understand when dealing with me before I found out I had pneumonia. All of the back room staff were equally pleasant. My PA Kendall Trauman was the best. Easy to understand, thorough explanation and clear instruction. Thank you all and happy holidays.
Great service! Staff was really attentive with positive energy and the doctor was so understanding! Such. Breath of fresh air!
First time patient here (arrived @2:30pm) The receptionist was extremely helpful and quite welcoming. The physician’s assistant was friendly. In the physician was knowledgeable displayed pleasant bedside manners.
Worst Experience, the Doctor was not professional and showed lack of desired to help. not even at the UMASS with more patients give horrible Service and terrible attitude.
They were very friendly I love all the staff very. Professional they keep the office alive as much as you can even the waiting room
I had a very pleasant experience. Thank you to the staff.
It was a pleasure to be treated at the clinic. Everyone was very professional and kind. Dr Brian was very caring when he operated on my finger.
The staffs were friendly, efficient and professional. Great experience !!
Wait was long but it was a busy day and my visit was not emergent. Doctor was quick and professional when I saw him.
The whole place was very clean. The doctor was very thorough and caring. I wish she would be my PCP. They have a great doctor over there.
Horrible experience!!! After providing health insurance and picture I’d as part of registering then waiting an hour I got denied treatment because because I refused to give a different debit card after their efforts to charge a dollar that they swore I was mot going to get charged it’s only to verify me and to have on fileAbsolutely horrible experienceYou could be having a heartache and if they don’t have
Ease of making an appointment and updating information online before the visit makes the check in process seamless. They were unable to help with my herniated disc problem though so they sent me away without helping me. I wish they had noticed this when I listed why I was coming in the description the day before, to save all of us the time and effort.
I had a great experience at this location. I am glad I chose to come here instead of other urgent care centers in the area. My experience was great since I checked in at the front desk. Everyone here is very respectful and kind. Yari in particular worked with me the most. She has amazing bedside manner, excellent patient care, and is very knowledgeable in her field. I will certainly return here for future needs. Thanks to everyone here!
About 10:00 am, I made a ‘reserve my spot’ at 4:00, the next available time. When I got there, there were two people ahead of me and then there were two walk ins after me. They took every person prior to me until I was alone in the waiting room. After taking the first walk in before me someone came out and apologized and said it would be a few minutes. They then came out and called the last walk in before me. The receptionist asked, ‘Why are you skipping patients?’ Whatever they said wasn’t the right answer because they still didn’t take me over the walk in. I walked out disgusted and furious. I will never go back. Horrible, horrible service…..I don’t recommend at all.
I went here once before and they were personable and nice which made me want to come back.. I came in with a shoulder issue and was told they didnt have the x-ray tech in, no biggy stuff happens..The issue I had with this last appointment was that it felt rushed. They just be understaffed and working a lot. The doctors and staff are always nice and personable.
100% best service!!!! Long story short, I dislocated my Tibia/Patella at the knee socket and usually can handle it myself but this time felt weird so i came to AFC, but the doctor, MD High, had never seen or handled it before. Still, the awesomeness that she is got it back in first shot!!! To be back on my feet in less then a minute from being seen I couldnt be happier or more satisfied with the service. You guys are awesome and if it happens again, I know who Im going to!
I’m from FL and my sister from Jersey. We went to urgent care due to obviously not feeling well. My daughter who lives here warned us not to go cause of the service but we were desperate. The nurse who saw was great however the PA or he who considered himself a Dr. was awful. He never introduced himself so who knows who he was , he acted like the janitor, which said a lot of his lack of experience. He was extremely condescending to two elderly women, one being a veteran. Spoke to us for probably one minute and left. He stated we just needed to ride it out. When i asked him a question about what medication we should take, he said ibuprofen. And went on to say, well ok let me check ur chest, all clear. And left the room. If this is the kind of Dr or PA u have to help patients, his lack of bedside manner is a disservice to the medical field. I will be calling the person in charge to make a further detailed complaint. And will encourage others not to go to that urgent care facility for any medical issues. This man is a disgrace to the field and a disservice to the patients who need care. Feel free to contact me and I can’t wait to see the bill I receive for his service which by the way I will contest. Seeing a patient for a minute should be free especially when he did nothing for either of us. We are know going to the emergency room. I’m sure we will be treated with much more respect and compassion. I’m giving a one star for the front desk and nurse who were extremely sweet and apologetic for him. Otherwise it would have been a huge ZERO. Good luck with that horrible employee you pay to attend patients.
Bad experience. The lady at the counter needs to be more friendly. When people come to urgent care the are sick and frustrated and need support. Not negative energy
The wait wasnt very long and the doctor I seen today had really awesome bedside manners, made feel important and not just a number... More on a personal level as if she was my pcp.
Booked an appointment and was taken without much waiting. Helpful receptionists, and was seen and helped efficiently, with prescribed prescription called into my requested pharmacy.
Front desk reception needs a little help on how they word things to patients. Jennifer C. and the other girl working with her (didn’t catch her name, long braids) were very supportive in my time of need! Both are considerate, professional, helpful and made my time there a little more comfortable. Even turned some of my tears into smiles and laughs. Thanks ladies - appreciate you and all that you do!
Quick care & friendly staff & doctors. Clean facility, short wait time.
I went in for chest congestion they got me in very quickly didnt x-ray they were very professional and thorough and very friendly I would definitely go back again
Excellent job to everyone thatHelped me!Thank You very much!Love and Prayers!Kathy Simisky 💕👼
Very pleasant and professional staff. Quick results, will definitely go back if needed.
Got immediate stitches, staff was amazing and was a pleasant experience all around. Big shoutout to Jennifer
Went in with a wrist laceration that wouldnt stop bleeding. Doctor told me that I didnt need stitches because there wasnt enough skin--but I actually did need them and all my skin was still on. I felt like I was brushed off even when I tried to advocate for myself in the situation. While the facility itself was nice, I likely wont go back for treatment there again.
Everyone that works here has been very nice to me and very helpful, I would definitely recommend going here.
Had a great experience! Everyone were nice and helpful!!
Wonderful people! From start to finish, everyone there had smiling faces, welcoming personalities, and kind souls! Thank you!
Let’s start by saying everyone knows the healthcare system in this country is broken. If you can’t afford decent/any insurance you’re basically SOL. That being said…If you are armed with insurance, proper documentation, and a decent attitude your experience at this location will be lovely. Reception and all medical staff were wonderful. In and out the door within an hour. Thank you!
I was referred there for a pre-employment physical. The staff was quick to get me registered and have the paperwork filled out. They worked with me to get different aspects of the physical done, i.e. doing the drug test first, since I had to use the bathroom. Though I was not an urgent case i was still seen pretty quickly to get all parts done! I also could see how long the wait would be on the screen which I thought was a nice touch, helping the time go by quicker knowing how long the wait time would be. Staff was very friendly and down to earth from reception to the NP. Overall a great experience for a first time patient.
I should have been going here a long time ago, friendly people i had to get a D.OT. Exam just walked in waited about 10 min and was done 20 min later ,,would recommend highly
I was in and out in no time everybody was courteous and professional and I would highly recommend this place for anyone needing a DOT physical or drug screen.
Everyone was very nice, helpful, quick and professional. Would go back for any issues.
I took my autistic child here for something minor. The reception was excellent extremely pleasant. When we got called into the bk to be seen .. THE DR WAS EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL RUDE TO MY CHILD UNPROFESSIONAL.... Ive never had a issue with any dr or medical professionals when Ive previously been seen in the past for medical reasons... idk 🤷🏽♀️ but its not the place it was just that Dr . Im not the one with the Dr degree but the way autism is and the number of familys that have a child or family member on the spectrum. Its been a big topic for awhile as a Dr I would like to think 🤔 youd educate yourself on the autism spectrum disorder.... If a person isnt making eye contact with you cant look 🫣 at you should read ℹ between the lines and automatically assume there on the spectrum... YOU DONT TELL A CHILD YOU NEED TO LOOK AT ME IN THE EYES 👀... mind boggling this Dr has a extensive education and doesnt have common sense....
Went down there for a quick look at my left leg--nothing dramatic right before they closed. They said they were closed and I understand its a Friday night. Even though they were hanging out in the lobby and what looked like a doctor playing around on his cellphone you couldnt give me a few minutes of your time? As a reminder you are in patient care. There was obviously a reason I was there for a reason. I felt I was treated like cattle.
The Doctor ( Giza High MD ) is very professional. She cares and listens. She even called back after a couple day for fellowing up. She is really a good doctor. The nurses and staffs are nice . Give 5 stars. Waiting time is good, registrating online is easy and fast.
Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. The nurse and Dr I had were GREAT! Very understanding because I was so concerned about my blood pressure. Took the time to explain and help me come up with things to try to help me.THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Great service, quick and front desk was so helpful
The staff and doctors were super kind with exceptional care! Also in and out quickly! Ill be back for sure! Thank you so much AFC!
Fast Service and caring people! Both ladies from the front desk were very nice and polite, check in process was very fast, waiting time very good, all areas of the clinic were very clean. The doctor I saw listened very well to what I said, and was very friendly and helpful. I will return there next time I need to.
I had to bring my husband, however due to the severity of the situation we were referred to the emergency room instead. The wait was not too long, but we were the second party to arrive. The physician James and the nurse we had was very nice and knowledgeable!!! They really know their stuff!! He called to umass to let them know the situation and what test needed to be done, when we got to the emergency room, we went through the normal procedure and security and they started on the blood test right away, and then after a short wait not even 10 mins we were called back to do the others recommended from James. Really good experience
The staff was quick and efficient, kind, and professional. Id definitely use them in the future for problems outside of office hours that shouldnt be seen in the emergency room.
I was there on Monday and it’s now Thursday and I’m still waiting for my results of my X-rays.
Took my daughter to urgent care on. Stafford Street was taken care of very nice and polite. The doctor is very good. I highly recommend anyone to go here there is not no long. Wait thank you guys for taking care of my daughter.
I was left in an exam room for 50 minutes. I was told someone was aware of my presence when they werent. Incorrect date of birth information remained on my paperwork even after I corrected the details. These details were sent to the pharmacy I went to for my prescription. This caused an even lengthier process than it needed to be. Terrible time of year for so many mishandlings, never mind the well-known slowness and short-staffing of CVS pharmacies. The AFC physician canceled my prescription after I called in and corrected my DOB information for the SECOND time this morning. This caused the pharmacist to essentially pull my product out of my hands, telling me they needed to start the process from the beginning with new paperwork the AFC sent over. So, I will need to go there for a THIRD time today, stand in a long slow line to get what I should have had in my hands 2 hours ago. Im losing hourly pay at my job for every hour I have to deal with the result of mishandlings at this location. I dont usually like leaving bad reviews but this was too much for one morning. The PA who saw me was great once someone finally told her I was sitting in the exam room for almost an hour. She saved this review from being 1-star.
The staff were extremely professional. The Dr was very thorough and I felt like I was the only patient in the office. They have my sincere thanks
I usually do not offer negative reviews unless the matter is especially problematic. The DR & assistants were very good and attentive, but the entire administration of this place is very poor.1) my insurance wan’t recognized by their system. I showed up @ 12:00 and when we tried to contact them, their lines were closed for lunch til 12:45. The nature of my issue made it impractical to go to a different urgent care, so I had to pay the whole $179 retail cost out of pocket. Insurance being closed was not on them, but no insurance co pays retail, so why isn’t there a way to charge me full discounted insurance price? Very annoying, but I paid.2) In the waiting room, I was clearly in respiratory distress, but a patient who arrived 20 mins after I did was seen before I was. Waited nearly 40 mins to be seen.3) Once in and taking vitals, there was concern that I later heard caregivers discussing among themselves might justify sending me to ER. I heard this thru the door, but they didn’t discuss it with me.4) Although a chest X-ray was considered by the DR, he told me they don’t have one, even tho the sign in the window promotes “x-ray and full lab on site”.5) assistant suggested a treatment that could be administered on site, but they did not do it. I suspect that it would have had an extra charge and didn’t offer it b/c I was self-pay.I did get the Rx’s I needed, but the entire experience makes me reluctant to work with them again. So, they invited me to contact them to discuss this further. I did, twice, but never got a response. Looks very much their customer care consists mainly of NOT caring and hoping it all ends up in the rear view mirror...Very disappointing.
I was was very pleased with my care here. I needed antibiotics and with myself being a liver transplant survivor. The doctor was unsure what medication to give me. He went above and beyond and called my liver team to make sure he gave me the appropriate one. I will definitely be returning there if need be.
They were great staff from start to finish quick n solved the problem
Very helpful, honest doctor. I almost left 4 stars due to the long wait but had a change of heart , a 5 star review is worthy cause they were very apologetic about the long wait. That was very good character the docs and nurses said that 3 times when I walked out , most urgent care places just don’t care.
Excellent experience! Donna was extremely efficient with the check in process (always a good idea to book an appointment) Jen was solid with the prep work prior to seeing the physician. I recommend this urgent care. I hope I dont have to be back any time soon.
Horrible.. six hours waiting under the rain the lady in front desk just say social distance no matter what. Was 40 degrees in the morning. And they never bring roof or tent for the people. They just making money with the rapid covid test $160. I bring her my health insurance (is suppose to be in my network that place) and she said isnt covered. Other People comes and cut the lane just saying I have an appointment ....😡🤬
Made an appointment online, which was extremely easy. When i arrived i waited maybe about 5 minutes before i was called into the room. Then from there the doctor was right in within minutes. I was expecting to be there for hours from previous urgent care appointments at other locations, but i was in and out within 45 minutes! Everyone was super nice also. i had an amazing experience for my first time here. i’m so glad i found this urgent care! 100000/10 recommend and will be returning for future appointments :)
The entire staff were very good, professional. I really appreciate their care. Their competence to me was excellent.
Extremely caring staff. Starting with front desk staff. Many blessings from God.
Dr. Zenkus and the staff (front desk, x-ray, MA, RN) were very compassionate and informative. Giving a patient water and checking oxygen levels while we wait is important and because of that I appreciate them going the extra mile to comfort and care for my daughter- RC
The staff was very polite and processional! They were able to promptly take care of my needs during my visit!
The staff was very friendly and the doctor was good and it was very quick.
Very friendly very nice place got me in and out quick
My son got strep over the weekend, amd they took us as a walk-in right away. The staff was very kind and made my little guy feel comfortable. I am so grateful that they are open on weekends.
Huge sign in window advertising X-rays, but told now tech one weekends. Refused care after paying my co-pay because work related injury, but unable to refund it to me because the manager doesnt work weekends
We had an issue w/our appointment yesterday at AFC on Stafford St. But Jenni our intake specialist was fantastic & straightened out our issue & we were able to see Dr. Zenkus. Dr. Zenkus was also very good & diagnosed my sons condition & re-assured us all would be good w/rest. Great visit!!!
It’s a very nice place and the workers too are good, sociable and caring
My toddler arrived scared and in pain from a deeply attached tick in the base of her hairline. The female receptionist was so knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and gentle collecting data and moving us through the reception and vital collection process quickly. Dr. Nguyen was perfect! Gave her princess treatment recognizing her further elevating her fears, scrubbing in, using minimally invasive approaches to get the tick fully out. She ordered labs to clear up any concerns of Lyme disease, and still prescribed antibiotics to ensure Lyme disease was preferably treated just in case. We are all so very thankful on a Saturday night we were immediately seen, examined and treated with fast, comprehensive and compassionate care!
It was good ..ok ...not to long of a wait .. people were good... I would recommend.
Very professional, helpful, and fairly quick for a walk in.
Was seen in their office for a pre employment visit. Upon checkout I was informed by a male medical assistant I could not receive a copy of my clearance note though it’s my personal information and I’m the patient. I was told this would be emailed and left the facility. Upon verification with my employer it was not. I called their office to verify all information was correct and spoke with the same male medical assistant and was told they dont email they only fax which was never mentioned to me when checking out at the front initially. I walked into the office for the 2nd time I requested kindly this be emailed again or if I could receive a copy of my clearance note of summary of the visit and was told by a very sweet front desk women she would verify with the nurse at the nurses station. The nurse from the nurses station came to the front just said with a attitude “Julia you can’t get a copy it’s a employer thing and rudly told the very sweet front desk women to figure it out and walked away.” The women at the front said she would email it but unfortunately my employer has not received anything. I’ve never seen a medical staff act so careless towards another staff member when there just trying to help a patient kindly, as a patient this is not a environment I would ever want to be around again. As a medical assistant myself there should not be an issue for a patient to get a simple note stating they are clear for work after there visit. In addition being in the healthcare field is to have a passion and want to make a difference in others lives. This is why I chose the healthcare field and I would have though this is what AFC staff represent in their work in all aspects. Today AFC staff demonstrated this is not what they represent. Very disappointing and frustrating still don’t have my clearance note. I hope AFC urgent care can create a more welcoming environment not only for patients but staff. But a dedication to help their patients. I already emailed patient advocates to get this resolved. I want to commend the women at the front desk who sat at the right side upon walking in who tried very kindly to help me. It’s unfortunate to see her treated so carelessly by a fellow staff member. I hope AFC can resolve this issue.
Very disappointed. They could not give results of flu test and said it would take 48 hours. When I called back in 2 days they said that it would take another 3 days. I went to another urgent care center and was given the results in 20 minutes.
The service was friendly, and the attending doctor was thorough and took tests to rule out viruses. The clinic was clean, and as I walked out, my pharmacy alerted me that my medications were called in and ready for pickup. I made the right choice, convenient and close to home. Five stars!
The staff was really nice and seemed to care about what was going on that I was in pain. The wait time was also fair and the paperwork was easy to fill out. I usually am nervous to take an X-ray but the staff helped me out to make it successful which I really appreciated. My prescription was also sent out the same day and processed the same day. Thanks so much will recommend to anyone!
Good staff and very efficient. My appointment was at a later time but was seen earlier. Thanks to the front desk staff that helped my family out. We appreciate everything.
Website says they take walk in lab testing, but thats a lie. They only do it if you have a provider with them there. I had my doctor fax over lab slip on a Friday to be done and when I came in they said they couldn’t find it (nor did they tell me they wouldn’t be able to process it anyways.) So I had my doctor refax it Monday AND they had talked to someone to make sure it went through. I come in Tuesday and they say they still don’t have it, nor can they even do it. Waste of two days taken off from work, could have been avoided had they told me Friday or fixed the website to state proper info on what kind of lab walk ins are welcome. Very disorganized operation, do not trust them.
I would not recommend this location for this reason alone ….. Dr Zenkus was in the room asking what my symptoms were. Before I could finish talking he was listening to my lungs. I am a nurse. I never tell anyone this when I go to a provider. I know you don’t listen to someone’s lungs while they’re talking and then tell them they sound fine. I mention that I had Covid late August and was on prednisone for 14 days and had dyspnea for quite a while after. He says how sorry he is in a condescending tone and then left saying it’s probably viral, I don’t look sick but we will see. If he was in the room for 20 seconds, this is generous. I spent more time with the nurse and the med techs who took vitals and Covid/flu tests. My results were negative. The doc comes back in with a Rx for prednisone and antibiotic. Really? My paperwork says sinusitis (I have zero sinus issues) and bronchitis (when my lungs sound fine). He says he’s giving them to me in case I start to feel worse so I don’t have to come back. AKA don’t come back! I’m insulted by the complete arrogant attitude and disregard for myself as a patient. If this is how he treats everyone he should be removed from practice. My reason for going was to make sure my lungs were not inflamed and to get a flu test since I had already done 2 Covid at home tests. I was worried about my grandchildren who are just infants and toddlers. Don’t waste your time here, or at least ask for another doctor when this arrogant man/boy walks in.
A good place n very professional the doctor was a sweetheart
Very friendly. Making an appointment was very convenient.
The staff is very friendly!! Our experience was great!
All the staff here are very attentive and helpful. Jennifer was super kind and patient. They deserve a ten star ⭐ rating!:0) plus a raise. Thank you guys for all your help.
Very nice facility, the reception and nurse were very personable and the facility was clean. The nurse asked all great qualifying questions about my injury (previous nursing student myself) was friendly and the doctor was very knowledgeable about my treatment and follow up instructions should my situation not improve or worsen. Will definitely go back if I ever need medical attention again.
Came in here with a rash that is potentially fatal. For the desk manager to laugh in my face and had lost my registration after waiting over an hour. I take my kid here. Ill never come back in here. Absolutely horrified with how I was treated by the so called manager. They do not care about your well being. Its a job to this lady. Thats it.
Horrible check in process . While sick you need to manover registering yourself starting on a tablet finishing on your phone .taking photos of your license and insurance card. Whats the point of having a lady for registration. She was rude. Couldnt be seen without a license when asked how long the wait was she said sorry couldnt tell. Old man with covid couldnt manover the tablet and she told him to go outside.. no care in the world this lady had.. I walked out ..
I had really bad first degree sunburns on my body and they told me everything i need to do to feel better
I went there after a fall. I waited for about 20 minutes before I saw a doctor. I had X-rays and didn’t have to wait long for the results. I was given what I needed and discharged quickly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs care.
Everyone was nice, professional and helpful.Neat environment as well
Today has been the second visit here and these people are wonderful. My check in was quick and a very short wait and the care was exceptional. The doctor was professional and I feel ok received quality care.
Doctor was great. Staff very nice. My visit was not long at all. I had an appointment. My first time there. I will go back.
Phenomenal staff, no wait line ever. Loved my experience.
Wasting time not recognizing what you need and after visit they send you yo go in hospital never go back again long waiting time 2 hours and only one doctor they need only to charge insurance money nothing else about patient care
I Had a Great Experience at this Location, Kadelin should get some type of award that’s how great she was. She was very kind & gentle & knowledgeable, she answered every single one of my questions, even the ones that didn’t make any sense. I’d definitely recommend this location.
The doctor was great, I’ve been sick for a month and they’re the only ones to prescribe an antibiotic finally. However, I heard one of the nurses yell my results in the office. She also was singing vulgar songs. Very unprofessional.
I was a walk in. Took me in about 20 minutes. Everyone was great!
Doctor was nice and professional.Front desk girl not friendly barely made eye contact. Aide rushed through everything and guessed my ht, wt and 02 sat. Will never return.
Got in really fast. Very kind assistant listened.. Very attentive.
Donna made this process ten times easier!!!! She was so helpful and gave me step by step instructions to follow and even helped me out when stuck on uploading my ID and insurance. I come here often and usually it is rare for me to meet such a pleasant worker! I would give Donna a 10/10 if possible!!
Waited about an hour for the doctor to come in for 2 minutes. I didn’t even get to finish telling him my symptoms. I understand they were busy but this is expensive, he should’ve at least gave me enough time to finish explaining before giving me a script and sent me off.
There were no test taken or anytime given to me. The nurse was much more caring than the doctor. The doctor came in claimed that I had bronchitis without taking any test and told me to go to another urgent care to get tested for the flu just in case. After talking to me for a minute I was released. Again no test done.
Great staff, knowledgeable and very helpful. Definitely recommend
I was a new patient at AFC UC, they had me fill out the new patient information and processed it quickly to get me seen right away. I was brought in immediately after and the PA was in to see me before the medical assistant was even done getting all the basics from me. He was extremely professional, fast and efficient for what I there for and was back in within minutes getting me on my way!
Donna at the front was absolutely amazing. I did not have my reading glasses with me and was not able to see The papers that I was filling out.. Donna took the time and filled them out for me. And showed me where I had to sign. She was just so pleasant..
Very quick, efficient clinic. Check in person who took vitals was exceptional and so was the PA that helped my daughter with a cough!
Staff are excellent, courteous, professional, easy to communicate with. Facility meticulously clean. Short wait time. Very pleased with overall experience.
I have been to AFC three times recently. The staff is amazing !!! They always see me in a timely manner, and take the time to listen to my concerns.
I scheduled the appointment on previous night for 2pm next day and came to the office 1:40 pm, and waited just for maybe 5-7 minutesEverything was professionally done, questions were asked and then the Dr cameThe only minor concern from me is I didn’t receive any summary
Awesome place all staff is great helping and caring making sure that everyone is taken care of in excellent manner and time efficient. The best service I seen in a long time. I love the place will go again. I will recommend a 110%
They let me know that I had COVID 19. This was very important. They were very quick, courteous and professional and I appreciated there serious demeanor.
Fast, efficient and caring! Went in on a Sunday with poison sumac but have recent preexisting conditions. The medical professional was kind and knowledgeable about the situation and addressed my concerns swiftly. Thank you for being available on the weekend!
On time, efficient, understanding, and thorough. Scheduling my appointment online was easy, including getting all my paperwork done before online helped speed things up.
Quick and professional service. Provider was very thorough and able to get us in and out with the prescriptions and information we needed to get well.
I went as a walkin on friday around 4:30, it was pretty empty but the staff was super nice! i didn’t get the names of anyone but the nurse was very sweet as well as the receptionist and the doctor took the time to explain things to me which i always appreciate. it can be scary not to not what’s going on especially when you’re like me and you do as much research as you can although it isn’t definitive. unfortunately, this was a case where the internet scared tf out of me so it was nice to have a doctor with the patience to make explain and alleviate the anxiety. anyways i had a good experience here! thank u :)
Very professional and great quality care. I didn’t have to wait too long. The doctor there was very nice and explained to me, what to expect from my prescription that I had to pick up. So far I’m feeling much better. Thank you so much
My son came into this location of AFC a few months ago and was completely miss diagnosed. He was given a prescription which made his condition worse, and he ended up in the ER the following day. The doctor obviously was too busy to spend the appropriate time to come up with the right diagnosis. I thought AFC cared about their reputation, but have not responded to my calls to patient services and requests to talk. I am very disappointed in their service and would not recommend anyone to use AFC.
Superior service! Booked appointment online. Was seen within 10 minutes. Staff is great!! Thank you Tisha and Dr Nguyen for your support and compassion.
The intake and exam were thorough and careful and the several people that we saw were very kind and supportive. Great experience all around. Thanks so much for taking care of us.
Great staff! I spent 15 hours waiting at the e.r starting the night before. When AFC opened in the morning I left and was in and out in less than 2 hrs tops! They called in my meds got my x-rays faxed to them and helped with pulling up my insurance. Thank you so much!
Passing thru from indiana to Maine and granddaughter developed UTI symptoms. The staff was very understanding and provided excellent and compassionate care. Reception area went above and beyond to help us get checked in efficiently and have our granddaughter seen quickly. Excellent service.
Both my husband and I have visited this office once each and have had a great experience both times. They provided solutions quickly and the staff is all kind.
They were amazing, they took me in quicker than I expected, I was there for a total of about 30 minutes, I would definitely recommend AFC. I went to another place yesterday which was a 3 hour wait. I’m just happy I found AFC. The Doc was super nice and so were the nurses and the front desk rep.
I had cut my hand badly enough where Horus later, it was still bleeding quite a bit. I saw that the wait time for other urgent care centers was too long (too long to even be seen that day), but AFS on stafford st was going to be closing soon. I had given them a call to see whether or not theyd still see me, and luckily, they said they would. The second I walked in, they took me to the back and a nurse came in seconds after that.I ended up needing sutures, which I had never had before (other than from getting my wisdom teeth out and my tonsils out), so I was nervous. But both the doctor and nurse were incredibly kind and caring. I felt like I was in great hands.I hope I never have to go back, but if I ever need urgent care again, Ill be going back to AFS!
I received amazing care by the medical assistants, nurses, and Nurse Practitioner. On the other hand the “ Front of the House” staff was beyond UNACCEPTABLE !!!Upon arrival at Pharmacy to get 3 prescriptions, I was informed that they only received 2I made 3 calls and the pharmacist made a call on my behalf. The first receptionist was beyond lackadaisical when I requested she check the status of that 3rd prescriptionMy second call a few hours later the receptionist said “ WHAT do YA want me to do BOUT IT 😡😡😡😡I asked him to walk back and ask about the status. He was too busy doing intakeThe pharmacist called me to say he got “ NOWHERE “I made My 3rd attempt to have the script sent over and that employee said she would check itMy prescription was ready at 745pmMy visit was at 1130 amI completely understand that this is a very busy time of year for sicknessHOWEVER the front end staff is in DESPERATE NEED of TRAINING and INSTRUCTION on how to speak with PATIENTS!!! Unacceptable attitudes !!AGAIN, the medical staff was fantasticThis absolutely needs to be addressed immediately.
The people there are awesome! Great time
Donna, was great! Very welcoming and understanding. She help me calm my nerves and anxiety. She was very professional and understand adequate work boundaries.
The staff and Doctor were very nice. I’m sure they are understaffed line every where else. My only complaint is that I made an appointment on line but still waited over an hour to be called in. What’s the point of the appointment?
The doctor I saw was good but the nurses the day of made since remarks, the facility billed me and didnt use my insurance, the phones for the billing department arent working and the manager of the facility refused to talk to me about the bill because she was going to go home soon. Honestly Id give 1.5 stars. At least the person who answered the phone was nice enough to try to help.Edit in response to the ownerI was specifically told she was going home after the next patient, I offered to wait until she was done and was told to call her back Monday. Im busy monday which I stated multiple times so she said to leave my number so she could call me back on monday. Again, like I had said before I am busy on mondays. She was unreliable the day I called so why would I assume she would be reliable in any other way? Ill be calling the billing department today but Ive since learned this facility didnt use the number for my correct insurance I dont know where they got the number they used.
Went early. New patient.registration was simple. Dr spent time talking to me.Ill definitely go again
Had a pretty bad third degree burn. Read all the nightmare reviews of other places (who knows their merit) so decided on this place. What a good choice! Heard someone in the other room comment how busy it was today but man did I not know it. From the front desk to the cool as hell doctor that I saw it was a pleasant experience and I was out the door within an hour from when I arrived. Definitely choose this is your urgent Care destination
Absolutely amazing! It was my first time at an urgent care. The staff was excellent, fast, and very nice. Will definitely be coming back if needed.
The office staff were kind and patient and helped me navigate the intake process as I had to contact my insurance company for my info. My Dr was kind and took the time to explain my diagnosis. This is how healthcare should be done!
I had a great experience there! Easy to make appointment, easy check in and nurse practitioner James Z was amazing. I was in out of there in less than 45 minutes I will definitely return opposed to the emergency room.
The front desk, nurse and Doctor were all very friendly, fast and helpful!I went online and had an appointment within the hour.Walked in and was seen within minutes.Nice job 💯
My wait was minimal as a walk-in. All concerned listened intently to my health concerns. They diagnosed me gave me prescriptions to help and I was on my way. The staff was professional and courteous. I have only good things to say about this facility.
Great service! Great people. Very helpful.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Drs and nurses are great and caring. I was in and out within a hour. I always prefer coming here instead of other places.
Staff was very nice, didnt had to wait alot to be called. I understood everything the Dr. Spoke. My only concern was the waiting area was mad cold. Not good for little kids and elderly people that have to go and wait to be call in, i was freezing my self. But other then that noce services.
Very personable & helpful. From the front desk staff when you walk in to the nurse to the doctors everyone is super nice & goes above & beyond to help & make sure that all your question are answered and u leave there happy. Thank you very much would definitely recommend to everyone definitely go there versus care well .
Quick, clean and professional. Everyone is so nice. I was in and out in less than an hour.
If I cook give it a 0 star I would. I got in a car crash and they said they couldn’t see me because I didn’t have my ID. I got drove here bc I couldn’t drive myself. I knew my SA# but they said that wouldn’t matter. I’m young I have a license I don’t have an ID. This place is straight up wrong. I would love for the supervisor to contact me. No matter the rules. I have my license. They should’ve took me. I’m getting driven somewhere else now to another urgent care. If they allow me to get checked with no ID. There is a problem here or they just pick and choose.
The staff was pleasant, Lisa was very sweet!
Such nice staff! Very patient and informative.
Fast and friendly as can be! Definitely coming back for all my future urgent care needs and would recommend this AFC to anyone in and around Worcester.
