Tl;dr: this office scams patients. You are required to pay full price for care up front (even with insurance), but the office does not notify patients or process a reimbursement even if a patients insurance pays for the care.I have visited Arlington Xpress Care Urgent Care 3 times. Each time I visited, the doctor spoke to me for less than 3 minutes. My third visit was a return visit for the same diagnosis because the doctor did not properly treat my infection and it returned. However, the wait is usually not too long. This alone would warrant a 2 or 3-star review, but the reimbursement policy is what gives this place a 1-star review. Each time I have visited, I have been charged full price for my visit ($150), despite having good insurance that has a $20 co-pay for urgent care. Furthermore, after each visit, I have had to go to the office to get my payment refunded, despite the office stating that they will mail a refund check once insurance pays (see below). This most recent visit, I gave the office 60 days to mail the reimbursement check (per the policy), but no check came. When I told the receptionist that I hadnt received a check, she told me: We dont mail checks to people. So, basically, this place is charging people full price and keeping peoples money (even if their insurance pays) unless they go to ask for it back. THIS IS AN UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE!!!

The doctor did properly treat me, however bed side manners could have been more inviting. They insist that you pay a “$120 deductible/deposit” upfront and the rest of your money would be “automatically” reimbursed after insurance clears it. My insurance company paid the claim within 17 days of my visit (my copay is $40). 43 days after my initial visit no reimbursement. I had to physically go back to the Urgent Care office to request the $80 difference. At that point they had double dipped my payment plus my insurance.Seek care elsewhere unless you want to chase your money.

Requires you to pay full price up front even if your insurance covers urgent care. I was explicitly told by the receptionist that my insurance would reimburse me, but they didn’t.They scam their customers and the doctor was quite rude and unprofessional. They absolutely deserve to go out of business. Really, really horrible experience

Great and easy location, however the rooms lack care, the sharps container was full and had needles sticking out of the top, nor did the doctor wash his hands upon coming into the room. The front desk lacks professionalism and how front desks in a health care setting should run. Being on a person phone call on your cellphone while multiple patients are checking in, and misplacing an individuals insurance card while on the personal call is not quality standard, however nor is wearing a knit hat as a nurse professional either. Now I get standards of heath care are decreasing but at least pretend to care.

I had a sudden and painful ear infection that had me worried and uncomfortable. I decided to seek help at this urgent care clinic, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. The staff there were not only highly professional but also very caring. The doctor conducted a thorough examination, diagnosed my ear infection, and prescribed the appropriate treatment. Their expertise and compassion made all the difference during a challenging time, and I left feeling much better and truly appreciative of the care I received.

Always have really great interactions here. The staff is polite and on time. They get us in and out as quickly as possible all while still addressing all the issues or concerns. They have an in house lab. and Xray so I don’t have to run to another place for it. Just love this place. If I have any problems with my health, this is my first stop.

Avoid this clinic at all costs. I came in for a sprained ankle and they ultimately weren’t able to assist me and I had to go to another clinic. The most egregious thing they did was charge a mandatory $250 deposit for treatment, which they hold until your insurance pays. It’s been over 4 months since my initial appointment in December and my insurance paid the clinic over 3 months ago. I am still waiting to receive my deposit. This Urgent Care takes advantage of their patients and feels questionably illegal. Strongly recommend going elsewhere.

I went in to get 10 stitches. Was super fast, in and out in 40 minutes. Then I get the bill $850. Does not give a good description of what was for or billing codes. My insurance company says that the charges are double what they should be and only cover $470. Xpress care keeps my $350 security deposit.I call and email for months...its February now, my visit was in October. They keep saying that someone will get back to me and no one does. Only call I get is from someone saying I still owe money. This place is a complete ripoff by charging double the amount for work and unprofessional in that they dont respond to emails or return phone calls. Only writing this review because I cant get anyone there to respond to me. Maybe they will after they read this?

Attempted to go to this clinic to treat a lingering cough. I looked on my insurance portal website and they are listed as a contracted in network provider. Once I arrive I explain my situation to the receptionist. I provided my insurance card which he reviewed for 30 secs before telling me they dont take it. I explained again that they are listed as in network on the united healthcare website. He showed little to no interest in assisting in any way before starting to write another clinic that might be able to assist.Tldr terrible service, and if he is to be believed, no longer contracted with a major payor despite being listed on their website. Dont waste your time with this place.

I visited this urgenr care for a throat infection, and I couldnt be happier with the care I received. The staff was welcoming, and I was seen promptly. The doctor was not only knowledgeable but also empathetic, explaining the diagnosis and treatment clearly. The prescribed medication worked wonders, and my throat felt better within days. I appreciate their professionalism and recommend this clinic for both minor injuries and illnesses. Its a reliable place for efficient and compassionate healthcare.

The wait time was reasonable and the man at the front desk was very helpful and informative. The downside is the appointment felt rushed and like the doctor didn’t fully listen to what I was describing and it seems like he didn’t read my paperwork. I went to drop off prescriptions at CVS and luckily the pharmacist noted that the new medication would put my at an increased likelihood for lithium toxicity… also the solution offered (a brace) is hurting my knee more than before. Not worth the $150 I had to pay (that is a deductible and insurance issue though)

I checked my insurance website for in network providers and Xpress Care came up. Website stated no appointment needed and you would be seen in under 30 minutes. I wish I knew that a bulk of the wait would be dealing with a prejudice front desk representative. The representative insisted I had to pay $150 deductible and if there was no need for the deductible, I would then be reimbursed by my insurance company $100 and the $50 would be kept for my $50 copay. I informed him that the plan I have doesn’t require deductible payment for urgent care and I didn’t feel comfortable paying something I knew I shouldn’t. He insisted unless I could show him my plan, the fee would stay. I called my insurance provider twice and they confirmed over the phone that me deductible was due and I even went as far as pulling it up on the insurance website to show him. This took about 10 minutes of back and forth. He finally stated that there was no deductible and the $50 copay would suffice. Based on this experience along I will not be coming back nor do I recommend anyone to come here for that matter. I understand if that’s what I needed to pay but it wasn’t and it feels wrong to know that this may have or has been happening to other people, who don’t have the time or means to pull up the information needed to aid them in situations like this. I’ve now been here for an hour and still haven’t been seen. The only good thing about this experience was the doctors. They were kind and informative. The front desk rep wasn’t rude but the over experience was off putting and unnecessary.

Don’t waste your time or money. They charge a deposit ON TOP of your insurance copay. “Promising” a refund after insurance files the claim. Never seen that before in my life and definitely sounds like a scam and these people should be investigated. Wonder how many folks are out there still waiting for that “refund”. They also won’t mention this policy unless YOU ask about the sign posted to the side of the front desk stating so!! (copied my insurance and had me filling out forms before i saw it and asked) I said nevermind and walked out. Also the 10 most recent “reviews” are all bot accounts reposting the exact same thing under different names (probably a ploy by the company to boost reviews and cover up all the bad ones) DONT BE FOOLED!!

I stayed only because I had no other option. I was visiting the city alone and injured my knee. It was the closest open Urgent Care I could make it to. I should’ve known when they told the lady in front of me that they charge $150 for a COVID test despite her insurance covering the cost in full. Then, they told me that they couldn’t verify my insurance so I would either have to call to have it verified or pay a $250 deposit that could be refunded weeks later when my insurance is able to respond to the claim. Well, it was the weekend so calling was not an option. As I limped through the office, no one offered to help or present a wheelchair, which were in a corner in the X-ray room. I never felt like anyone really cared. And didn’t really trust what I was told. They didn’t even do basic medical triage like a blood pressure check. Knowing that I had no way of getting to a pharmacy to purchase crutches, they charged another $55 for a pair. And I had to ask for them since the only thing offered was a prescription and a compression band. Now, that I’m home and trying to get the X-rays faxed to my primary care doc, I can’t get in touch with them. When you call, the phone doesn’t even ring. It immediately goes to the voicemail of someone who seems to be having trouble remembering the script. Please heed the red flags and choose another option if at all possible!

If you are looking for an urgent care facility in the area, please to do use this location. My experience here was nothing but horrible. I visited a doctor in December 2019 due to a sinus infection and needed antibiotics to help clear it before a trip. I visited this location due the proximity to my job and that they were in network with my insurance provider. When I arrived, I was told I needed to pay a deposit of $150, even though my copay was $35, since they were not sure they claimed they could not reach my insurance. They told me its common and that once my insurance confirmed and that I would receive the difference back. I honestly paid the $150 again due to the proximity of the urgent care to my job and due to the need for some relief from the sinus pressure. The doctor that saw me was not the friendliest, but I was able to get the meds I needed. Then the back and forth started to receive the difference in what I paid versus my copay. After many phone calls with my insurance and the urgent care over the course of 2 months, this urgent care facility uses a different name on their billing statements versus the name the name they provide the insurance companies, my insurance company figured it out due to the tax ID number matching. Then once my insurance company submitted payment and the facility cashed the check, representative in the billing department at the urgent care wanted my insurance company to resubmit my claims for reasons that made no sense to even my insurance provider. I was on the phone with the urgent care facility and my insurance company and we were hung up on twice after being placed on hold. Finally, I decided to go into the urgent care facility myself and asked to speak to their billing department. The front desk representative was not friendly at all when I mentioned why I was there and asked for my name and DOB. I waited for about 20 minutes for them to basically tell me oh we owe you $115 do you have the card you used we can go ahead and process the refund to that card. I am glad I received my refund, however it is completely ridiculous that I had to wait 2 months, deal with them back and forth, asked to resubmit a claim that was correct to just walk in and the refund was processed with no questions asked. I would not recommend this facility to anyone!

The doctor spoke to me for all of 4 minutes, and then misdiagnosed (I had to get a second opinion days later). On top of this, I have spent weeks chasing the deposit back from the company. Xpress Care told Aetna that THEY DO NOT HAVE A BILLING DEPARTMENT. This is unheard of. Xpress Care wants to wear you down and keep extra funds by making reimbursement unnecessarily difficult. If you are stuck in a similar situation-- ask your insurance company to file a claim requesting the money back, and then your insurance will send you the difference. It will take some time, but involves less haggling. Do not use this provider.

This place is the worst urgent care/health facility Ive ever visited. For one, Im pretty sure the $400 deposit they charge when my insurance deductible was less than $20...has to be illegal. They didnt send me an EOB or anything to help me try and send a claim to my insurance company, and so I was out the money for months before I could give my insurance any information. I had to fight for this information which leads me to believe they never planned to give me my money back...or they didnt care enough to try. Two, the providers act bored and flippant. Multiple times he didnt warn me before performing a procedure that was incredibly painful, and told me off for my generation being too careless. Dont visit this urgent care. Save yourself the headache and find literally any other urgent care facility. I thought I was desperate to get care...but I was definitely not as desperate as one would need to be to need to receive care from this Xpress Care. Ive never left a poor review anywhere, but after literally months of this frustration -- I had to warn others.

This place is very unprofessional, I would advise anyone to avoid it. When I arrived at 3PM I was told the doctor was on a lunch break and to come back at 5PM. When I came back and they took all my information they told me I would have to pay $250 even though I have insurance and a copay. The receptionists were very unprofessional and did not seem to know how to do their jobs. The office is messy, old, and smelled like urine. The doctor was very unhelpful, barely explained anything to me, and was difficult to understand. I had to get lab tests done and was notified that they would contact me with the results. They ended up contacting my emergency contact instead of me, even though I wrote my telephone number on their forms. I only knew about their call because my emergency contact notified me. Would never go back to this place again. Completely incompetent

Falsely advertise. Are not “…devoted to providing you with urgent and comprehensive health care on a walk-in basis,” to quote their website. Arrived significantly before closing time and after waiting a for intake staff to appear (while they were taking other patients) they refused treatment citing that I was a new patient and they were closed. The website says, “…You don’t need to be a regular patient of ours and you don’t need an appointment. When you aren’t feeling well, simply come to our office during our convenient hours.” Unfortunately, my experience is factual proof they do not do what they advertise.

I was not going to hand over the additional $70 without checking with my insurance as it sounded weird. I left and called Cigna to ask why I had an additional deductible and they said I don’t. They basically tried to make me pay cash for the full cost of the doctors visit because they were to lazy to go through insurance and then lied to me about it. Also, the office was dirty and run down too. I should have read the reviews before going. Do not go here - There are other urgent cares in the area where you can just pay your co pay.

HOWEVER, receptionist is very rude, and condescending...read other reviews, there are other complaints about her. I noticed an attitude from her when I was filling out the forms and while she was taking my insurance info, and while she was explaining to me why she needed a $200 cash deposit when I have proof of insurance. Horrible customer service from her, just rude and condescending. I would have walked out had there been another option near by. This receptionist needs to be fired asap.Fast forward two months, this clinic files a claim to my insurance, gets paid, and they still have not refunded a $200 deposit they collected from my debit card at the time of my visit. I call the clinic to inquire, and I have to deal with the same, rude, tactless receptionist. I did not read any of these review before my visit to this clinic. In hindsight, I wish I would. My story is very similar to the other posts. I called the clinic a few days before I came in to verify that my insurance would be accepted (it says it is on their website) and the receptionist told me yes but they have to verify when I come in. I came in a few days later because the conditions on a cough I had become worse. Immediately when gave the receptionist my insurance card, she told me that they dont work closely with the company and I will have to file the claim on my own. $150 upfront. I was shocked but in too bad of condition to find another place in time. There was no one there in the waiting room and I was called back by a nurse no more than 15 minutes later. The nurse was kind and did all the usual preliminary tasks, nothing out of the ordinary. The doctor came in 5 or so minutes later. He came in, mumbled everything, and didnt give me any time to answer questions he asked. He glanced at my throat and ears then briefly listened to my lungs. He mumbled that I had a sinus infection and bronchitis. He asked what I wanted to do. I asked for his recommendation, and he told me he could give me a shot (no explanation of what that was) or prescribe something. I went for the prescription route. He left and came back 3 minutes later with 3 prescriptions and mumbled off some instructions. I tried asking questions about what I should do to rest and if I was okay to return to work soon. He was annoyed by it all and didnt answer my questions. When I went to get my bill, the receptionist told me I would be charged and EXTRA $50 because he found 2 things wrong with me. There was no arguing so I had to pay. This is the biggest SCAM that I have ever seen at a healthcare clinic. The doctor is unprofessional, uncaring, uninterested, and unsuitable for his potion. I strongly urge anyone to go to an emergency room before they would come to this person. You will receive much better treatment and diagnosis if you see real doctors. I cannot recommend or rate this place any less. PLEASE STAY AWAY.

Would not recommend this Urgent Care Clinic to anyone! When I walked in the door the female receptionist was sleeping at the desk and acted like I was bothering her with my presence. When I gave her my insurance card she looked at it and said we dont accept this insurance. She didnt even bother to call for eligibilty, just handed the card back to me. I knew my insurance would cover it because my insurance is accepted everywhere. Sure enough after leaving the clinic and $185.00 later I called my insurance company and my service were covered. Imagine that. To top it all off it is 3 days later and the antibiotics that the doctor prescribed are not relieving my symptoms. I am not from this area and do NOT want to go back to this place! I fear I will have to be seen by another clinic and incur more charges, I just hope that they are more friendly and customer service oriented than this clinic. My review is NOT Poor-Fair, It is just POOR. 03/22/2013 This place is an absolute nightmare! After telling me that they did not accept my insurance, I found out that they DID in fact bill my insurance to the tune of $500.00 which is 3 times the amount they charged me in cash for the visit. I was chosen to travel abroad on an urgent assignment out of the blue and I just had a few hours to pack and get organized. As I went through the checklist my boss gave me, I realized that while most of the other things were manageable, there was a mandatory travel vaccination which looked like a challenge as I had little time on my hands. I searched the web and found Xpress Care, a place that offered travel vaccinations as well as consultations near Arlington which was just minutes away from my office. I called the number and they told me I could walk in anytime of my convenience. I felt relieved. I reached Xpress Care within the next hour and was immediately informed about the procedure and guided by a staff all along the way. I just had to fill in some forms and provide information requested for which happened pretty quickly. I was then taken to the vaccination room and the process was completed quickly. I was given the bill immediately for reimbursement claims. Xpress Care is the most convenient and quickest way to get travel vaccinations without any documents. They are open all days of the week.

Then even before asking us what was happening etc etc she informed us it was a 100$ copay. So I paid. (urgent care is supposed to be 75$ with my insurance but we were in need so...). They made us fill out about five sheets of paperwork and finally took my partner back. Not even 30 seconds he comes back and says They cant help him and he should go to the ER. So I just paid 100$ for nothing... a 100$ I dont have due to Covid and being laid off. I get it is a business but they could at least ask what is wrong before they take your hard earned money. I was caught off guard because I’ve never been asked that question before by the receptionist. I was also confused since the paperwork I was filing out asked the same question. Another thing that threw me off was when the receptionist came to my assigned room, acting as an assistant. After I saw the doctor for some tests, I was told it would take a few days. I called back a few times and the receptionist was telling me my results!!!! Again, I have never experienced that before and I felt really uncomfortable with her knowing that information. I asked her when I’d be able to speak with the doctor and she told me I’d have to schedule another appointment and pay another $150. After that I was pointed to the room I was suppose to go into, and the person who I’m assuming is the nurse came in, didn’t introduce themselves, took my vitals and walked out. This place is a joke and should not be masquerading as a healthcare provider.I can see the appeal - sure my visit there was technically quick but it was anything but painless.I went in for a sprained ankle - the kind that LOOKED really bad but I could still walk on it so I wasnt sure how bad it was.I got into the exam room and the doctor came in and asked 2 questions: Which ankle? Is it just the ankle that hurts or also the tarsals? Now I have limited knowledge of medicine and anatomy so while Im guessing at this point that tarsals is part of my foot (which is also wicked swollen at this point) I ask him to repeat the question hoping hell simplify it for me - no such luck. So respond - I think its just the ankle but can you take a look? and start taking off my boot and ankle brace so the doctor can poke and prod and twist and palpate. He doesnt even wait for me to finish taking the brace off before he says Well take some x-rays.Now I was the first (and only) patient in the building at this point, so yea - it was quick. But after the doctor review the x-rays, he came back into the exam room only to tell me that its a bad sprain, stay off it. and tosses me a compressive sock and a prescription. He did not touch my ankle at all, he did not ask about my pain level or ability to walk at all, he did not give me any information about the type or degree of sprain I have, he didnt even tell me what the prescription he was giving me was for. and to top it all off, though he wore a mask while interacting with me directly, while he was reviewing the x-rays, he was sitting at a computer in a narrow hallway that we had to pass through TOTALLY UNMASKED.This place is an absolute disgrace. If you want a quick way to waste money and receive little to no care - its the spot for you.

Recently visited this clinic for some X-rays. While the process was quick, that’s about the only good thing I have to say about it. The doctor on call could barely be bothered to talk to me, and gave off the attitude of “I’m just getting thru my day, you’re just another face to me”. He could not be bothered to give me any real details about the results of my X-rays, and said less than two sentences with the results. Overall, I would not recommend using this Urgent Care unless you really have no where else to go.

I went here on a Monday afternoon around 3:45pm for a check up after a prolonged weather-change flu as my regular doctor couldnt see me till Thursday. My experience was great! Front desk staff was friendly, informative, and made me feel very welcome. I was in and out quickly, but more importantly, I think I received excellent medical care.

Probably the least professional and most perfunctory medical care I’ve ever received. I had better medical care in the first aid tent at Burning Man. Checked in and (even though I have excellent insurance) was told their “system was down” and I would have to pay $150 before the doctor could see me. I suggested they call the number on the card to verify coverage and was told “we can’t do that.” This place is very close to where I live and if I hadn’t been in pain and unable to walk I would have left because it was starting to look like a scam. Doctor asked me very few questions and didn’t really listen when I tried to tell him how I was injured and where I was feeling pain. I got the impression he was just going through the motions to justify the $150 I was charged just for walking in the door. He gave me a prescription for an anti-inflammatory that is a prescription version of Advil and sent me on my way. I left no better off than when I arrived. Do not ever go here and contribute to the continuation of this rip-off of a business.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!I wish I would have read the reviews for this place prior to visiting and while I was there. I feel like a complete idiot now that I wasted $100 for a service that should have costed me $21.First and foremost, the male nurse at the front desk was rude and impossible to understand. He tried telling me I was on a different insurance plan than I was, and that I owed $100. I told him that he’s wrong, I should only owe $21, and called my insurance to confirm. He continently left the desk for several minutes while I was on the phone with my insurance.Apparently they make you pay a deposit up front, and claim that once you get your explanation of benefits, you need to send them and then in 60 days you’ll receive a refund. We’ll see if I ever see that $79...As far as the care goes, the doctor spent a total of 5 minutes with me before giving me a shot and some prescriptions for a sinus infection.Unfortunately I learned my lesson the hard way. I plan on calling my insurance to suggest that they take this place off the suggested provider list. Please be smart and go elsewhere! This place is a SCAM.

Listening to the bad reviews on here made me needlessly miserable for an extra day. I can only speak to FEP Blue Cross/Blue Shield, but I only had to pay my usual co-pay to see a doctor for what turned out to be strep throat. I had avoided it like the plague because of the reviews, but after going because I was desperate, I found this clinic to be cheap, quick, and have no complaints. True, the doctor could have had touch of a better bedside manner, but I was miserable and didnt want to be there, and he handled things very quickly and got me on my way in under 30 minutes. Exactly like an Urgent Care place should be - in and out, with a solution to the problem! Will go again.

Services are inconsistent and provider has horrible customer service. No one is at the front desk to assist. I had to call to get someone to come to the reception area while I waited. Doctor was the only staff there and informed me he could not address a deep cut I had. Ive had treatment for a similar issue in the past. He then changed is stance that there is no staff and they should be closed for the day.the doctor seems as though he is picking and chosing who he decides to see or not see. Horrible service, experience and a waste of time. Drive past here and find another urgent care. Not worth it.

Out of desperation, I went here. I should known better than to go to a place for health care that offers weight loss and laser skin services. The woman working the front desk was really rude, abrupt and unpleasant when I walked in. As I sat filling out forms, she worked with another couple of women. So much for HIPPA privacy laws as the woman at the front desk talked with the women as they sat across the room. The women kept giving different birth dates until the woman at the desk finally told them what birth date was that was attached to their insurance. Mmmm. Can anyone say insurance fraud? When I got called up to the front desk, I was told that my deductible is $300 and Ill need to pay a deposit of that amount. I asked what that meant. She explained that I had to pay the deductible up front and then I would need to contact my insurance to get a refund of any amount not used. So how much is an office visit? $200. But I need to pay $300? Yes. The woman at the desk said, theres a sign right there and points to a sign at the desk like its one of the commandments or something. I had called earlier before coming to make sure that they took my insurance and they that they were a preferred provider and was told by whoever answered the phone that they were.Needless to say, I left. Im not paying more than an office visit would have cost. Heck, I wasnt willing to pay even the cost of an exam since they had told me they were a preferred provider.Because of some freak things, Ive visited 3 urgent cares in the last 6 months and have never had to pay anything up front, let alone $100 more than an office visit.I called my insurance to check. The insurance company said they are listed as a preferred provider - which by definition means (at least with my insurance) that they themselves bill the insurance and bill me for whats not paid. The person also was astounded when the clinic asked for more than the cost of an office visit. They said they would investigate.Really, dont go there. Its scary.

Once the male doctor came into the room he never ask me anything like pain, pregnancy before treatment, or how long I had the symptoms. The doctor then take a light flash it in my eye then say i will put a prescription in for “that” at a pharmacy. Very poor service or empathy to my pregnancy or the fact I work around children.

TELL ME SOMETHING I DONT KNOW). As he was walking out the door he said it would be an additional charge for him to help with the infection and the removal of the piercing. I asked for the price, he said he would have to check, I stopped him before he gave me a response. He was going to let me leave with out any prescription order or recommendations of treatment. I asked and he gave me 2 prescriptions, an ointment and antibiotics, which is a huge overkill. I spent 10 minutes there, and spent $150 for him to write bacterial ointment and some random antibiotic. Did I mention he is very rude, when I came into the office there was no one to attend me, all the lights were off and the way he attended me was like I was an intruder in his practice. This place is terrible, the receptionists are rude and sarcastic to customers. They claimed the panel testing was only $300, but they billed my insurance for over $500. They then claimed they never received any payment from my insurance company and kept my $250 deposit. They said they would refund me and give me a call when it was ready, then they called me acting nice and asking questions about my visit which had happened almost 2 months ago. When I brought up the refund they acted like we had never spoken about it before. The receptionist then told me she was not Willy Wonka (not sure what she meant by this, I am not looking for free candy, I am looking for good honest medical care). Five stars for Fraud. If you’re looking for a place with a waiting area complete with a poster for aesthetic services they don’t administer and a back office that says “We deal Oxy too,” look no further.Let me walk you through a typical visit…Upon entry the receptionist will look at you with empty eyes that say, “I don’t know how to greet you with the most basic of questions.” The fun doesn’t stop there. Next, you’ll fill out five forms they won’t look at. The receptionist will run to the back to “call”your insurance company.Bad news. Your insurance benefits couldn’t be confirmed! Their system must be down! You’ll need to pay a deposit…she’s feeling friendly so she’ll only ask for $100. But the patient after you? You’ll later find out he had to pay $150 because his insurance company (different from yours) well their system is also down. What a strange and complex technological world we live in!You’ll pay the $100 because, well, this infection won’t cure itself, but then you ask how you’ll get reimbursed. This throws the receptionist WAY off because, oh gosh, what are the talking points again? Do I use the EOB line for this patient question or do I throw them with the blind reassurance. So many fraudulent options--so little time. Then, you’ll be magically whisked back to a patient room. Yay! The back is in total shambles--these entrepreneurs really burn the midnight meth! The doctor will open the door like he’s just finished rubbing one out whilst walking back from Dunkin Donuts. After all, he only shows up to the office once the patients pay the deposit. His pants are barely on. It’s at this point he realizes what’s happening--you’ve read the reviews (those reviews) you know, the ones with one star that share exactly this delicate little scam and you’re on the phone with the insurance company they couldn’t get in touch with.He goes back to write a prescription for the aforementioned infection. You go back out to the front, insurance representative on the speaker and you confront the receptionist like a GD Karen you aren’t, stating that everyone is ready for insurance to be confirmed. She refuses to speak. You’ll ask your insurance company to call the office. The receptionist runs to the back to clear her head and get back in the game. “Come on, girl! You’ve got this!” She misses the call from insurance. But then you force her to answer and you are going full-on Karen in front of the waiting room, only you’re wearing a mask and believe in science and integrity. She picks up the phone and hides in the back again. Then, the insurance agent comes back on the line and delivers the news: the receptionist refuses to validate your insurance. You’ll grab the prescription from the doctor and tell him that what he’s doing is illegal. He’ll look down at the filthy counter, in shame. He can’t argue with you because you’re right.

I was searching something in my store room when I felt a sudden spasm in my back while trying to reach a particularly inaccessible corner of the loft. The pain was severe and unbearable. I was worried because being a Sunday my physician was off bounds and most of the clinics remain closed. That’s when I remembered the Xpress Care signboard I often saw while crossing S. Fern at Arlington. I asked my wife to drive me to the place immediately. When the staff saw my extreme discomfort, they wheeled me into the clinic without wasting time. The form-filling and other formalities were done later. Within no time, the physician arrived, and examined me. He said it was muscle spasm, nothing serious and sprayed some anti-inflammatory medicine which gave me tremendous relief. I was also prescribed some pain relievers and cream. It was a wonderful experience. Xpress Care is a good place to get treated when your regular doctor is not accessible.

I gave them a different card to put all the costs on and to be done with and they provided me a refund receipt for the original amount. NO STARS!!!!!!!! NOT EVEN DOCTORS OR NURSE PRACTITIONERS AT THIS FACILITY. JUST PEOP,LE WITH SCRUBS AND A SIGN ON THE BUILDING....There is a reason there is no waiting in the lobby; that reason is because they have no clue to what the medical world really is. I recently got a new sex partner in a different state. Naturally we get tested before having any encounters. My insurance coverage is wonderful. They cover me in and out of network, urgent, ER, and doctors office. This non experienced clinic would not even run my insurance because they said it was not covered (however, after speaking with my insurance company, they said they would have covered 80%). I ended up spending $350 out of pocket for this test. The reason we choose this facility is because they stress same day testing and treatment. They took my $350 with no problem ,made me pee in a cup, one guy came and drew blood. Another came and asked the reason for the test, i mentioned possible new sex partner, i said i should get my results in 2-3 days. I asked about the same day service and treatments, he stated they had to send them off. Upon leaving i had to ask for a receipt, because none was going to be given to me. She had to hand write it, I think they may have pocketed the money. I asked about how i was going to receive my results, they said they could not email them to me but they could fax them if i provided them with a fax number. I asked about my future partner being able to pick them up (since he lives in the area), they said that was not possible. I mentioned about a medical disclosure form, which she all of a sudden found. It is day 4 they have my results in from my blood sample just not my urine sample. I keep getting put on hold and this is not good. These are my results and i cannot get them. I have paid you $350 cash money, you would think they would be reaching out to me. Nevertheless, i DO NOT RECEOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO ANYONE (WITH OR WITHOUT INSURANCE).

They told me to try the ER.  Unbelievable and illegal.

Went to this facility last week for the 2nd time in a year. First visit was OK, but had no intentions of going back. I am retired military with Tri-Care Prime; therefore I knew I would have a minimal co-pay. After checking in the receptionist told my husband that we had to pay $300 for the visit. After explaining that was incorrect, she then said $200. I was getting Tri-Care (Humana) on the phone. My husband told her that was ridiculous and had to be mistake, so then she said they would take $150.00. I was speaking with a Tri-Care rep at the time who said that was inaccurate and wanted to speak to the receptionist, who refused to talk to the Tri-Care Rep. We politely left, letting her know we would report them. Went right over to Inova Urgent Care and was seen without any out of pocket money. The rep there told me there was nothing in the system that showed I had to pay a $300.00 co-pay. What a rip off. Now I see why the place is always empty!

Terrible experience!!!! DO NOT COME HERE. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. Doctor Zahid Hameed was extremely unprofessional and rude. I visited regarding a ear/sinus infection. Needle for the antibiotic shot was not prepared OR CLEANED in front of me. When I questioned this, Dr. Hameed became rude and defensive, stating that he was not going to prepare another shot in front of me because that is “wasteful.” I never asked him to prepare another shot - I simply only asked why he didn’t get it ready in the room with me. He walked out of the room without explaining anything to me regarding my prescription, and left without asking me if I understood everything or if I had any questions. This doctor does not need his license. It’s a shame that there are “medical professionals” like this. If you’re smart enough to check reviews before visiting (which I didn’t because I felt so bad), then take this warning and do not visit this urgent care.

There were a few things that made me like Xpress Urgent Care. One, the efficient staff—the staff knew what they were doing, and they worked quickly, resulting in a very short waiting time. Two, Dr. Hameed himself—he was so helpful, and he was very patient with me. And three, the overall cleanliness and the modern feel of the clinic. This was true in both the waiting room and the exam room. I was very impressed with Xpress Urgent Care clinic, and if the need arises, I will be going there again.

No stars! I was prescribed inadequate medication. I later returned to the this facility to speak with the Doctor about the right medication. I was told by the receptionist that he would speak with me. 30 minutes later they called on another patient to be checked that arrived 15 minutes after me. The receptionist gave me the option to write down my question for the Doctor, or schedule another appointment (Thats an additional $50 co-pay). Dont go.

If I could I would give this place 3.5 stars -- but due to the great nurse assistant that took care of me I am pushing this to 4.I went to the xpress care to sort out an ear problem I had coming back from a trip abroad and was able to walk in and see the doctor quickly (within 10-15 minutes at 5pm). The check-in was a bit arduous compared to some of the other urgent care I have been in -- lots of paper with some repetitive questions but thats health care...Once I was checked-in, The nurse assistant took my vitals and was very careful and ensured I knew what was going on (unnecessary but I appreciated it). My only issue actually came from the Doctor on call. I could count the seconds I saw him on 2 hands. He came in, looked at my throat, looked in my ear, left, and came back with a prescription for a sinus infection. While I am sure he knew what he was doing -- his lack of patient care was pretty astounding compared to the level I received from his assistant. All in all I got what I needed, but I left with a confused acceptance that I guess he knows what he is talking about... Regardless -- Xpress care is quick and painless just dont expect the Dr to be too helpful.

I have been here twice for medical needs and my experience has been great. Fast check in, low copay, efficient staff and excellent Physician. Both times I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Do you know any other facility with this kind of quick and caring service. Dont blame the medical practices if you got lousy insurance with high deductables. You got to pay your deductible sooner or later anyway. I carry Aetna and my wife has BCBS with no deductables so we get the best service everytime we go.On top of that clinic is brand new, clean and just one block from the Metro with ample parking around it.I strongly recommend this Urgent care to anyone who carry good health insurance and not looking for a cheap bargain. when it come to their health. If you are unfortunate and dont have good insurance then just go to one of the free clinic close to your home and stop blaming the clinics that they charged you upfront or asked you for the deductable. Or next year, just buy the better insurance.

They had inputed my social instead of my husbands and called to ask what it was over the phone demanding we give them a social and DOB over the phone. I asked if I could come in to correct the issues, as I didnt feel comfortable giving it over the phone. The individual refused to speak to me if I came in and even threatened me saying If I didnt just give it over the phone he would just send me a bill and tough luck.. You cant not legally just refuse to submit a claim to insurance. Thankfully my instance company handled it in a heart beat, however I am still waiting back for a response from sending an email on how to make a formal complaint on the individual and I have yet to receive a response after days. If I could give zero stars, I would. After waiting nearly an hour to be seen for a raging sinus infection, the receptionist (who had been somewhere in the back for most of that time) called me up and said I would need to pay a “$150 deductible.” I explained that I had no deductible under my insurance, and pointed out where it stated on my insurance card that my co-pay is $15. Doesnt open until 9am which I found a little unusual for a walk-in urgent care facility. Upon checking in, I was advised my out-of-pocket was $120.00. It is normally $20. Explanation was given that my annual deductible remained in the amount (This was November, it didnt). Upon receiving EOB from my insurance I found that the total allowed was $120 and my insurance had paid $100 (leaving the normal co-pay of $20). Obviously billing was mishandled. Now seeking to recover $100 over billing. Visit otherwise okay but advise to push if bill numbers seem off. UPDATE: Contacted a week after sending letter and advised would be refunded $100 to credit card. Hasnt posted yet but have no reason to believe it wont shortly.

An irritating cough was bothering me right through the week. I was busy with a deadline project and couldn’t find time to visit my physician. When I found the cough getting progressively worse, I decided to see the physician that very evening. It was late in the evening when my doctor checked and found nothing wrong. She suspected some allergic infection and wanted me to get tested immediately. As it was already late and there was no way I could take a day off from work, I started looking for a diagnostic center that was open late. Luckily I found Xpress Care at Arlington. The timing board said: Monday to Friday 9AM to 8PM. I rushed in as it was already 7.30PM. They took me to a well-maintained lab where the lab assistant did the necessary checks and took my blood sample for the test. It was over in 15 minutes. I learnt later that you don’t even need a doctor’s letter to do any tests. Also, the self-pay service is quick and efficient. The experience was highly satisfactory. For anyone who wants to get tested urgently, Xpress Care is the right place. They are open even on weekends up to 4PM.

But when I was taken to the patient’s room, the nurse just left me there without telling when the doctor will be in. I waited for 25 minutes before the doctor came in. He examined my hand for less than a minute and then he said I needed to get X-rays. After my x rays, I was left in the patient’s room for another 20 minutes before I needed to use the restroom so I went out. I saw the doctor talking to the nurses and when I came out of the bathroom, the doctor was still busy talking to the nurses. As I was walking back to the room, he told me I was fine and he bandaid my hand in the hallway. It made me wondered if I didn’t have to go out how long would I have waited at the end. Overall I waited for 45 mins and I would say next time I probably would not return to this urgent care because the amount of money I paid (which wasn’t cheap) didn’t equate the care I got.

Real sleazy business. Will upcharge unnecessarily for covid tests just to make a profit on their customers. All insurance is out of network requiring an insanely high co pay price upfront.

Is there any 0 star rating? Avoid this place!!! They charge you extra money (after that incompetent nurse lies that insurance said I should pay that amount out of pocket) and now I am dealing with my insurance so they solve it with them! Doctor looks at you for few seconds and doesn’t even care. Avoid it. Look any other place!

These guys misdiagnosed me as having post nasal drip and now I’m en route to the ER. Throat went from being an 8 out of ten to unable to swallow overnight. They gave me a z pack that did nothing in 24 hours. $150 for nothing.

THIS PLACE DOES NOT EVEN WARRANT 1 STAR! DO NOT GO THERE! Made me wait for 45 min while the doctor was on a conference call. 3 ppl left for waiting too long. They don’t want to help you and don’t care about you! It is the WORST urgent care place I have ever been to!

If you believe you have an STD and are looking for help, I don’t recommend this location, we came to a visit to this location because we was having Herpes symptoms, after the diagnosis it was confirm it was HSV Type 1, after the medication prescribed we return to get another refill for the medication and they said we had to pay again $100 just for the doctor to prescribe and to look at the symptom, which was herpes on the gum area. They claimed that maybe the cause of the symptoms was somthing else when 4 test were performed, 1 here and 3 at different location, and all confirmed it was HSV Type 1. They suggestion was to get retested for everything which is a $350 dollars plus the $100 for the visit and then to be sure the cause of it was actually Herpes.

Not sure why most comments here are so negative. The nurses and doctors I worked with were nice and helpful. They only have two people on duty so it’s normal to wait.
