Planned Parenthood and this center are amazing. I felt safe and cared for the whole time. All the staff were extremely kind and understanding. I would come here for every appointment if I could because they treated me better than any other doctor.
I cant say enough wonderful things about the entire staff. I felt so taken care of and treated with such kindness. I went for an appointment due to insurance changes and Ill absolutely be coming back. Womens appointments arent fun but when there is compassion...it goes an incredibly long way.
I am between doctors so visited PP for an IUD removal and had the most incredible care experience from start to finish. I am so thankful for their help and i’ve been pain-free since my visit for the first time in nearly a year. Everyone from the volunteers to staff to clinicians were so kind and thorough.
Fantastic place. Wonderful staff. I felt incredibly cared for. If you need to get your IUD replaced, this is the place to go. They offer real pain management and are proud to because women deserve options and compassion.
I’ve been dreading this procedure for the past year.I would highly recommend/implore going here for a IUD removal and or reinsertion, because they offer pain management/anxiety medication for your procedure. After getting my IV and the procedure was said and done, the doctor looked at me and said “ you are all good to go! “I looked at her utterly confused because I didn’t feel any pain… not even a pinch. I’m not kidding when I say I literally didn’t feel a thing. And for those who’ve had a IUD insertion done, you know exactly what kind of pain I am talking about. All of my pain management/procedure was covered by my insurance and my copay was only $35.I wish OBGYN offices in NH would offer the pain management service I got today. OBGYN and other doctors need to take notes and stop telling women to take “ ibuprofen before your appointment “ because it literally is like slapping a bandaid on a gaping gash. 2-3 days later after the procedure I have no horrible settling contractions. I wish I came here 5 years ago for this procedure. The staff from the man/women working the security desk to the discharge staff were super friendly
I always feel so safe and so taken care of here. I actually cried from happiness because of how non traumatic this experience was. I can’t say enough positive things about the people that work here and my experience. Starting from the sweetheart of a man checking you in to the entire staff that leads you to your doctor. So much good happens here.
Omg I had the best time at this planned parenthood yesterday!!!! All of the staff were so nice and inclusive. Even the staff member (not sure if she was an MD, NP or nurse), who did my first Pap smear was amazing. I’m a CSA and SA survivor, so it was wonderful how she walked me through all the steps and made sure that I was comfortable through the whole thing. I felt valued as a human being going to the doctor for the first time, so I truly could’ve never imagined a better experience. I mean most medical professions just “go for it” when doing medical exams, so it was quite refreshing.
I met some of the most caring, kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable people today. Not only was everyone that I encountered very professional, each and every person I had the pleasure of interacting with offered me such an incredibly calming feeling. I felt truly cared for here. My experience was, quite literally, better than I couldve imagined.
It hurts when you receive poor care at PP because they do such great work for all people across the country. But its also not okay to diminish the concerns of women and other HCPs. I came for a simple follow up here because it was easier to schedule, but the advice I received was contrary to that of every other HCP Ive seen related to this issue. When I tried to advocate for myself and for my health, the NP was infuriatingly patronizing and I left without resolving anything. Its really unfortunate, but I believe its important to share because the community should know that they may need to mentally prepare not just for the protesters, but for the providers too.
Wow, I feel so incredibly lucky to have received care at this planned parenthood. After having a pretty horrible abortion experience elsewhere, I was really nervous to come in, but the process (surgical abortion) was very straightforward, efficient, and quick with minimal pain. I cannot speak highly enough about the service. Truly above and beyond… The health care workers I came across (Dr. Olivia, nurse Rachel, and Maya) were professional, kind, thoughtful, and just generally wonderful people who tried their absolute hardest to make me feel safe, cared for, and seen.Update: Nick (who took my blood on a separate occasion) was beyond sweet and so great to talk to!
Everyone at this office was incredibly kind and helpful! They let me come to my appointment even though Boston traffic made me 15 minutes late. Each person introduced themselves kindly, answered my questions, and were so patient with me. They didn’t carry the type of IUD I was hoping to get, so they carefully reviewed my other options with me until we found something that worked. I felt very safe and cared for! Only a few religious nut jobs out front, but nobody was disruptive or yelled at me (heavy security was provided by PP as well.)
My friend went here for a pap and whatever doctor she got was so rough about it she had severe cramping and bleeding the next day. She has one of the highest pain tolerances I know of and she was in so much pain and had a cold sweat. I was so worried I almost called an urgent care line. As a black woman, which she was as well, we have a reputation for not having our pain acknowledged or considered (look up childbirth death rates for our demographic) and this was very disheartening to see her go through. Apparently the doctor was not very receptive to her expressing discomfort and blew her off. When she called her primary doctor they also wrote it off as normal. What I saw was not normal. This is why so many women are so afraid to get these procedures done. Sick of seeing cases like this.Update: she went to a physician and they found a fissure. Whatever doctor it was cut her up there.
I was helped by (I could be misremembering/misspelling names- so forgo me) Bonnie at the front desk, and Anna as my primary caregiver- and couldn’t have asked for two kinder, more patient, and understanding humans. I was very anxious going into my visit, but I left feeling like I had the best possible outcome. I will absolutely be recommending this location to anyone else seeking treatment or care.
Supportive staff who are very helpful. They were the ones to whom I went during my early adulthood for gyn care.
I came here back in early January to talk about starting feminizing hrt, and he staff were extremely respectful toward my gender identity and I felt like I was actually seen instead of being invisible. Its not an exaggeration to say that coming here saved my life because my mind was in such a dark place
Every person I interacted with was friendly, competent, and professional. It was easy to schedule an appointment online and bill it to my insurance. There was a metal detector and bag check at the front desk, which I would think is unnecessary in Massachusetts… but when I arrived there were protestors were outside at 7AM. The staff professionally and legally guided clients around protestors. The protesters were annoying but it made a good story to tell about how I braved through that hassle, especially since I felt safe the whole time. There is a cute coffee shop with excellent hours next door that has nice chai lattes that I visited after my appointment.
I came yesterday for a follow up appointment thinking I was getting the IUD birth control, and even though it wasn’t in their system and they had no idea I was supposed to get it until I said something, they still did it for me! I also arrived 40 minutes late to my appointment.. I had thought my appointment was for 130, but it was actually for 1pm. Regardless I was still 10 minutes late to the appointment time I thought I had but everyone was extremely accommodating to me. I was waiting 2 or so hours to get the IUD placed but regardless I’m super grateful they took me and got it done. Everyone I’ve met at this location are some of the sweetest people I’ve met!! I highly recommend coming here. Wait time is a little iffy, but just remember everywhere is so short staffed since the pandemic and they’re just doing their best.Thanks.
It pains me to write this review as I genuinely believe Planned Parenthood is a force for good in the world but this location really needs to step up their game. I reached out about a diagnostic ultrasound, and had the fax number to have it sent. I know the fax number is right, because every time PP failed to send it, I re-confirmed the fax number with the ultrasound clinic. It turns out they had been sending the wrong kind of paperwork, and even when I asked to confirm they were sending orders and not a referral, they didnt respond to me and just kept sending out the wrong kind of paperwork. As a result, my ultrasound continues to be impossible to schedule while Im in pain. Im genuinely baffled that they wouldnt think to check that what they were sending was right when I kept calling and asking about why the orders werent getting to where I wanted them sent.
I really thought I was going to have a different experience. if youre not sure how far along you are make sure you dont go in on a Thursday because they do not do procedures on Thursdays. unfortunately I was six days too far along for the pill so they refused to give it to me (called 4 or 5 weeks ago) and wanted me to come back another day for the procedure when I was told over the phone that everything was going to be done in that one day. I was upset and crying (overly emotional day, no empathy) then I got kicked out of the location. So make sure if you go you do not get upset about anything. So it looks like Im going to be having a child I do not want now..
Many people unfairly criticize Planned Parenthood, not realizing its a valuable resource for womens health. I had Pelvic Inflammatory Disease and without Planned Parenthood, I would not have gotten the antibiotics I needed to solve this condition.
All of the staff is so unbelievably nice and friendly. They make sure you feel comfortable and safe! 10/10 one of the best places I have ever been for healthcare!
Great services with friendly staff, security and escorts. Thank you for treating all of your patients with the compassion and respect they deserve. Boston is very lucky to have such a nice and safe Planned Parenthood Facility.
Mesha- i truly hope i spelled her name right. I’ll call to make sure. She is an absolute saint!! Her patience, support and compassion is truly indescribable. She’s such an incredible person and addition to the team. Jess, Yaz and Rebecca are some of the kindest care professionals i’ve met. It’s refreshing to meet folks who actually really enjoy their jobs and are truly kind humans. They’re truly a dream team. It out weights the amount of time waiting. My only reservation and something i’m looking forward to is the day they become more kid friendly. I think it’ll truly be helpful to allow children to learn about the resources that the world has to offer for women. This can normalize women having autonomy over the decisions they make for themselves. Our world carries such a negative stigma towards this facility when they’re one of many who actually provides women with resources and options. However, i personally don’t believe you can truly support women without supporting children. That’s my own opinion:)
I had a lovely experience with two very kind PA’s. Planned parenthood was able to help provide me with birth control when all other primary care and gynecologists weren’t able to schedule me an appointment for another 2 months out. My appointment was via phone/video call and was quick and painless. Thank you very much for everything!
Everyone should go here. Escorts and security made me feel safe! I went for a routine exam/testing and was so impressed. The whole practice was SO clean and the women were so accommodating. Asked all of the right questions with no judgment. Quick and easy! highly recommend.
I am never coming back to this location. I can appreciate schedules run behind as I work in healthcare but this was beyond. I scheduled an appointment for 420p assuming I’ll be here at most an hour, an hour and a half. 45 minutes and I’m still waiting to be called. I’m getting an IUD and I don’t understand how multiple ppl have checked in after me and are being called ahead of me. I checked in with the desk and they say 5 minutes. That was 10 minutes ago. I only came cause my OB was booked through the end of the year. This was not worth the frustration.
Génesis P. is the supervisor here but she struggled remembering the financial departments extension number and was so quick to push rescheduling as soon as we encountered an issue. The front desk people were far more patient and far less redundant. Génesis seems to have broken HIPAA when providing first and last names, a member id and group number of an individual who was incorrectly linked to my medical records. I came earlier this Nov saying that their insurance informations inaccurate and they failed to resolve the problem multiple times and had me who is sick call three different numbers in order to fix their blunder. She nonstop said that theres no way she could help call or help fix this glitch that she should have apologized for; instead, she ingenuinely said she understands. She mumbles when she talks and gave off the coldest demeanor. I truly recommend a new supervisor as soon as possible. Shes the reason I wish I could give 0 as opposed to 1 star.
It was a great experience at Planned Parenthood with the staff. I went to terminate an early pregnancy a couple of days ago and it was a very hard decision to make, each and every one of them were so caring. And they walk you through every single step of the way and monitor you carefully and they’re so sensitive to you, and how you feel, they are very understanding and i think that’s so important. Also one of the nurses who was the one to be in the procedure room with me, Is someone that i actually know personally and haven’t seen in years! So it was nice to have someone who knew me there to help. I honestly want to come here for other things that they offer, i like them a lot better than my doctors office lol! I hope that we can keep them around forever
Great staff, clean, welcoming facility. They ask a lot of questions, offer you a lot of services, and are very open with you about your healthcare to make sure you get everything you need.
When you arrive, a volunteer walks you to the door and the security people are very nice and pleasant to interact with. The wait time for a walk-in was relatively short (about 15-20 minutes). It is very confidential because you give a number corresponding to the service youre looking for on a paper at reception, and only your first name and last initial are called when they are ready for you. The staff are very informative and welcoming as well as respectful and friendly. I had a great experience here and would recommend it for anyone looking for information about their health, for testing, or for other services. Would give 10 stars if I could.
I had gone in a couple times when I lived in the area. Reception was not the friendliest, but Id give them a little slack with having to deal with so much ignorance outside. Props to the volunteer escorts. The medical staff was great though. Friendly and took the time to ask about whether you felt safe at home, etc. There was nothing about the reason I was there (general wellbeing check up) or anything physical to suggest there was something wrong, so I imagine they ask all their patients.I returned for an IUD insertion. The woman was nice and verbally walked through her steps before starting and along the way. It hurt, but thats not unusual for the procedure, and she made it known that was a possibility.I now have a PCP that also does womens health so I have not been back, but this is a good option for those who need it.
Upon my first visit it was a bit difficult finding the place due to the busy area and little parking. A lot of my issues stem from lack of notification. for example, my first visit I wasnt aware of the deductible fee so i was not able to see a doctor my first appointment. Which was fine. Once I did have the money I set up another appointment the following week over the phone. Day of the appointment I came in however due to an identity issue with my insurance card I wasnt able to get what I needed done again. They exclaimed that the previous staff I talked to shouldve informed me but if I want I can pay out of pocket which is way out of my pay grade. I did not receive anything (phone call or email) regarding this issue before my appointment otherwise I probably couldve handled the issue. Personally I feel as if they are only trying to find a way to scam more money from me. The amount of time money and gas wasted does not equal the outcome and I do not plan on returning there
Most compassionate, friendly, kind hearted group of people doing their job whole heartedly. I can’t find the words to describe my experience, but I thank the universe this place exists.
I dont seethe purpose of scheduling an appointment when they hold you hostage for hours. Had a appointment at 7:50 am its now 9:50 and the still not done. I understand that they want to provide all options and information but making me wait hours on top of hours is not going to take me suddenly decide to change my mind. Its very frustrating sitting in a place doing nothing for hours at a time. Its a waste of day. Not to mention parking is not provided and there are time limits on street parking. PP need to step their game up in terms of being efficient.
I had such a great expereince at the Boston Planned Parenthood today. I found parking easily on Babcock St. where there is free two hour parking from 10-6pm (good to know about vs metered parking on Comm Ave.). The staff were thoughtful, kind and lovely. They went through all the steps and options in detail and made sure I knew what to expect. They made sure I felt good about my decision to have the pill abortion and was not coorcered by anyone. They asked if I had support in my life about my decision and were happy to hear that I did. I thought the office layout was very nice and that the medical rooms were clean and bright. The staff really was exceptional I thought and I thanked them for the work they did. I feel so lucky to live in Massachusetts where I have access to these services that are basically covered by health insurance. It was an $18 co-pay for me for the pill option. I was impressed and appreciative leaving this facility. Highly reccomended.
Its the worst, the truth is, they make an appointment, they have many people to attend to it. And this is not possible since they are very slow and it takes almost an hour in the waiting room. Its credible that they waste time like that wow. how awful
I had an exceptional experience from the receptionist to the NP and the entire staff in between. Such efficient, informative, knowledgeable, nonjudgmental, and welcoming care. You’re in good, supportive hands here. (Minimal wait time with an appointment).
Im so, so happy that theres a place for womxn to receive healthcare from other womxn. Everyone I interacted with was really friendly, my IUD insertion was fast and efficient, and they show obvious care for the experience of their patients. Ill be donating and voting to keep them open for decades to come.
The counselors that you are connected to on the phone are rude and unhelpful.Of course the counselors and the supervisors don’t tell you their name, so I can’t specifically say which ones were rude and unhelpful but I talked to the operator, a counselor, and her supervisor- none of which could help me or even felt like bothering looking up other Planned Parenthood services on their computer.Clearly Not a place to call for advice or medical help.
They really dont do ultrasounds or bloodworm? Can be serious
The appointment was done in a rush. I didnt feel like I was able to safely ask about my concerns. Also, the STD testing was not for free even with the insurance. I had to pay about $40. I had expected a much better experience, it was disappointing.
Worst experience. There was no patient ahead of me waiting. The nurse told me to wait for a bit.. I waited for an hour and the nurse came to check me again and told me the doc will be with me in about 5-10 minutes.. The doc didnt show up for another half an hour so I decided to get refunded and leave.
These people are amazing and I feel so lucky to have access to support and help like this. The world needs planned parenthood. I was comfortable and felt safe my entire time and the nurses are ABSOLUTLY the most comforting people in the entire world.
This place was a Gos send . patient navigator Katie is the best I cant express how helpful and professional she is she goes above and beyond to help out she definitely deserves recognition😃😃😃😁
Arrived at 510pm as it was open til 730pm. Went in with a fear of possible ectopic pregnancy and at 520pm I was told they were a little backed up and wouldnt see me because I was a walk in and they saw walk ins case to case of importance and when I inquired that a fear of ectopic pregnancy was important I was told well we are a little backed up there were 4 people including myself in the waiting room... glad to see they care if my fallopian tube ruptures..
I had the best experience right from the security guy, the lady that worked on me at the reception(Ms.Yanira), the medical assistant and the doctor, everyone was so sweet and kind,I was treated very well and they made my visit so easyI highly recommend
Planned Parenthood of Boston is fantastic. They provide you with more than enough information, emotional support & guidance throughout your entire stay.
Super professional and caring staff. Seamless check in process and was even called in earlier then my appointment time.
This place produces huge noise every morning at 6:30am for one hour, awakening me from sleep. Its such a trash building that is a huge noise producer in the city.
My appointment was canceled 2 days in advance and was given no reason as to why. Terrible service
Every time I come to PP I am overwhelmed with emotion because I am treated with such kindness, compassion, and respect.
Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts has helped me so much over the years. Thank you for all of the excellent education and healthcare.
Extremely kind staff and proper attention and attitude towards healthcare.
I went there and they said my insurance wouldn’t pay for the procedure. Then I asked them how much to pay for it and they said that they won’t allow me to pay for it because I have insurance? Tf?
Terrible service, got here an hour early, only person in the clinic and still had to wait
This place is amazing and we must protect it. The service is great! They respect women rights.
Everyone was super nice, polite and very professional. I will definitely recommend them
Appointments available for next day, intelligent and caring staff - very welcoming and professional!
It says they open at 7:30am on Monday’s but it’s 8am now and I’m still getting the recording that they are closed. Might end up going somewhere else.
Person answering the phone was very rude and hung up on me. If you dont do walk in appointments dont advertise them! Ill go elsewhere for my B.C
Kind and informative practitioners, fast and efficient process. Thank you Boston Planned Parenthood!
Ive been coming here for over a decade, everyone is incredible.
Kind and amazing staff - Thank you Planned Parenthood of Boston!
The only medical organization that I trust with my reproductive organs.
Had to wait 3 hours even though I had an appointment.
Amazing staff and great healthcare.
Excellent professionals!
Poor communication
Above and beyond.
They do a good job here but they do not respect the patients time. They tell you to arrive at 9 and they will see you at 1 in the afternoon. It is a good place for patients who are lazy.
