I visited this place twice. after that 1st visit shouldnt have returned. My 1st visit I was told get there atheist 15 min before my actual appointment time I got there 20 mins before only to wait to be seen by the ENT doctor for 2 and a half hours after I got there. I left and I called my insurance needless to say after that my new visit my wait time was drastically reduced. I was seen by doctor Stackpole who prescribed a ppi for a swollen voice box? But the kicker is I was misgendered because my husband made the appointment for me and they spelled my name wrong and I cannot even get the ppi the doc prescribed. Please avoid this place they take vital signs they didnt ask about medical history NOTHING.
Ive been coming here for years, theres nothing negative to say about the place, but the new guy who performs the heart test on the second floor is way too nosy and flirtatious, I wonder what made him believe I was the right person to flirt with? He can go out with one of the ladies at the front desk!! he wanted to know my address, job type, relationship status, how many kids etc etc, Felt like I was on a blind date, I was so annoyed because Im not generally the type to flirt or engage in personal matters with strangers.The manager at this location should discuss this issue with him so he can be more aware, proffesional and less thirsty, his name is David.
Took my mom to this location recently, and the facility was very clean, and the staff was very helpful.BUT, my biggest complaint was the lack of decency with some of the individuals who were awaiting service. Maybe this is different on separate parts of the floor but I waited on the side for GYN services and a young lady came in with her baby and proceeded to have a conversation with her mother on the phone on full blast as if no one else was in the room! I was also on a call and had to leave the room. The staff said nothing! Why arent you concerned with the health, mentally and otherwise, of the other people in the facility who are in the waiting area?You should, at the very least, have signs posted to alert folks that they need to be mindful of the other people around them! Use headphones or leave the area if you need to make a call so you arent disturbing everyone else.I believe it the responsibility of the staff and professionals in the facility to make sure that individuals coming in are respectful of where they are and behave accordingly.Otherwise, no issues with this Essen location!
Wow! I should’ve looked at reviews before bringing my 3 year old granddaughter here! Brought her to their urgent care for a sore throat and although tests they took came back negative the NP assured me it was strep throat. How could she see the baby’s throat while she was crying and refusing to let her look in her throat?! Which brings me to the medical assistant who took her vitals .. rough and insensitive to a baby who is afraid of being at this doctors office. Her whole demeanor was negative. In the end I waited 20 minutes for this same medical assistant to type up a letter for daycare. She tells me only one day out daycare not two as the NP said. Isn’t strep throat contagious?? No question about this though: I will never return there not for myself not for anybody!
First time coming to this clinic. I had an appointment for 3:30pm and there is still a wait time to be called due to the clinic being short staffed and overbooking clients. Thus not able to call the clients in at a timely manner. Terrible service. I don’t understand why people who are scheduled by appointment still expected to wait a long time to be called in by a doctor. First priorities are not met either. Clients who come in are serviced faster than clients who have been waiting for a while. I will no longer be visiting this location. Unprofessional clinic at its finest. Didn’t even see the doctor, ended up leaving after receptionist kept advising there were people headed even when I had an appointment.
Currently sitting in this office for the second time. The first time I was here, there was a wait of over an hour and a half to go to the back. Once in the back, there would be another wait time. I rescheduled that appt for the next first appt of the day. Today I came in a little before 9 am (my appt time) signed my name, and sat down because there was no one at the front desk. Staff walked in and out of the back area without asking if we needed help or if we were being attended. I patiently waited until someone walked out of the back waiting area at 9:17 am and stopped them to ask if there was someone who can check me in. The young lady said she did not work in the department but went to the back to get someone who did. 2 minutes later, someone did walk behind the counter, and asked if I had an appt. I said yes.. her response was “did you sign your name on the clipboard” I responded with a yes and that my appt was for 9 am and no one had registered me. She said well “you’re supposed to sign your name and someone will be with you, that’s protocol.” She began speaking with another patient who had a 10:30 appt but wanted to be seen earlier. She informed her that the doctors don’t get in until 10 am and that the patient could wait. She looks at me and asks what doctor I’m waiting to see, then informs me she doesn’t come in until 10 am. We had what became a shouting match. She was behind a plexiglass and I was sitting in my seat in the waiting area with 4 other people. Had I not asked for someone to come out the reception area when I did, God knows how long I would’ve been waiting.Apparently, I was booked for a slot that should’ve been blocked and according to one of the department managers, the MD failed to inform her to block her schedule. There’s obvious miscommunication from the provider to the staff and from staff to the patients.
Welcome to Essen, do you have an appointment ? Doesn’t matter. If you have a 1 pm appointment and you show up.1st thing they ask is to make sure your insurance information is up to date.2nd thing wait until you get called to get your weight and blood pressure measured3rd wait and wait and wait. Somehow someway everyday is a an excuse as to why it’s taking so long to Se your doctor.Expect to wait 1:30-2 hours from when you walk In to when you actually see your doctor.Final. You get inside and the doctor is in the biggest rush to get you out . If you are lucky you will get 5 mins with them. Good luck
This address GYN system very bad I had an appointment 2:00 pm they are so slow they call me like 3 hrs later for only results . I’d like to recommended everyone please don’t make appointment here … try to visit somewhere else…
I’ve been going to this location for a few years always giving them the benefit of the doubt that they will get better but it hasn’t happen yet… first like many of you I sat there for more than an hour and the doctor never called me I have to walked out. Then I been seeing doctor Jackson, Matthew which prescribed a medication which needed a pre authorization… n never got a follow up from the doctor or the place and very dissatisfied with their service and if you try to contact an specific location can’t never do it cause they re route you to a call center….. Bad Business essen health care I’m looking for a new doctor smh
What is the point of schedule appointments if noone get seen on time. Providers need to respect peoples time !!! we all have jobs and lives too! and showing up on a patient late is disrespectful
I had a first time GYN visit with Dr. Kimberly Koclosky and she was super awesome! She did a pap smear on me and was incredibly reassuring and gentle. For anyone who is nervous, don’t be! You’ll be very well taken care of here. My only issue would be the wait time but patience is a virtue and unexpected things can happen at an office! I will be returning!
My mother and grandma went here to receive help for my grandmas hearing aid but instead my mom and my 85yr old grandmother felt racially profiled and had a extreme hostile experience from a doctor there. The whole time she became agitated because of a language barrier and raised her voice yelling at my mom and a 85 YR OLD WOMAN!!! Instead of help she just argued why we were there and pointed out that her hearing aid ear piece is faulty because, and she said and quote, because the insurance is paying for it. So instead of help they were basically called POOR and yelled at for seeking help. The doctor was a white lady with blonde hair and looks to be in between the age of 30-35. If she doesnt like patients who speak Spanish then why would you even bother helping patients in the Bronx? Extremely unprofessional and hostile, would not recommend anyone to come here for help because youll leave feeling humiliated.
So, this is my second time leaving a review since the first one was removed because of the truth. Again! Stay as far away from this place as possible. The employee with the blonde hair and glasses is so rude, if I ever saw her on the street I would disrespect her the same way she disrespects patients. She has a disgusting attitude and seems to be consistently miserable. Its like she just found out her husband is sleeping with her sister. Yeah thats the kind of rude face she has. Shes super obnoxious, extremely rude, pretends she is busy. I spoke to her politely, said good morning, said excuse me and even asked if shes busy (mind you this is her work place, she should be asking if we the customers/patients need assistance) and she ignores me, doesnt respond until she felt like replying with you can talk to someone else at the desk. Like huh? You are sitting there at your job doing literally nothing. Waste of a human being, especially when others wish they had employment.Stay away from this location, you will absolutely regret going here. You also cannot get your COVID results at all unless you go through the whole process again, meaning go back in and deal with the disrespectful attitude and recover your results in person.
So my son went into this medical office a week ago, I spoke to a girl named Crystal, we confirmed all our information, then she tells me there is an appointment with the Dr. over the phone to give me the results within a two hour window. The two hour window came and left with no call. I called the following day, this other female employee tells me the same thing, that another phone appointment is made for 5:30pm (however it clearly says they are closed by 5pm) and we never received that call by 5:30pm. All Im trying to do is keep people safe, not just my son and family, but also his classmates, and everyone else we all come in contact with. Unfortunately this medical office does not care for the safety or well being of others especially not patients as the extreme difficulty of just getting covid results shows the lack thereof.Avoid this location, Crystal is a liar, dont bother going here for a covid test. You will wait on line outside in freezing temperatures and deal with employee attitudes to start your morning and you (based off of my experience have to go back in person for results) will likely have to do all that all over again for the results.
There is a disconnect between their call center and the clinic in regards to rapid test. Make sure you go inside to ask which Covid test they have available. The staff working here did not bother going outside to let people know or have a VISIBLE sign posted to notify people. The wait time is 2 hour plus! Once inside, it’s another waiting nightmare, apparently they only have 1 professional attending to all patients. I would recommend going elsewhere if possible.
My first time coming here will be my last.I walked into the place, went to the window to check in. And everyone just ignored me and acted like I was invisible.They wouldn’t even look at me, just sat there. Didn’t even bother to greet me. After about 8 minutes I walked out.Didn’t even get to see the doctor.
Excellent service! Everyone is willing to help you and I saw people struggling with the registration machines outside and the ladies at front desk got out to help. They also went outside ( bitter cold) to call people by names to give results and or to get them to test.The lady who did my Covid19 test is always happy and upbeat personality that makes you forget of the trying times with this pandemic! Cheers to everyone at this facility!!! People like you made a difference in the world!!!
This company has the worst customer service, response times, and absolutely no training for their employees. They are very difficult to get in touch with and frequently disconnect you without calling back. No accountability and the people on the phone refuse to transfer to a manager or give a name if who runs the company. If I wasn’t 1/2 way through the process of getting simple annual labs for my mom I would never do business with them.
Went over there to get a covid test. Even though I was the only one in the waiting room they had me waiting for over 20 min. So I left before taking any tests. THEY CALLED ME 3 DAYS LATER TO TELL ME MY RESULTS ARE NEGATIVE WHEN I NEVER TOOK THE TEST. Giving false results is not ok & can be dangerous. I do not trust this clinic & I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
Need a pcr test done. they said id get it within 72 hours and i did the test and i didnt get the result in time for my flight. called multiple times and lady just brushed off the fact that i missed my flight due to their negligence. Dont depend on them for your traveling. ill file a complaint with BBB.
If you would love to wait five hours outside in the cold definatly come here. The staff is unprofessional and rude, there was elderly people waiting out in the cold and the staff locked the doors on everyone waiting to receive a covid test. Rapid test!! Forget about it!! This place should be shut down. Also they allow there regular patients skip the line.

All the staff was very nice, the doctor was very professional and the office was clean. from the time I arrived until I left, it only took 35 minutes.

They are so slow I believe they only have one person doong the test how can I be in a lline from 12 pm to 3 person in front? And I am still here who knows ultill what time. Dont come here find some other place.
My parents and I were there to take the covid test and they treated us very well, all the staff that assisted us were very friendly and everything was very fast.
Needed to get covid tested stood on a line outside in the cold with my 8 year old child for 2 hours And because the receptionist was having a bad day her exact words she stop letting patients come in at 3:30pm when they close at 5pm super unprofessional the receptionist should be fired just because there is a lack of staff does not mean there should be a lack of professionalism
This place is terrible they constantly overbook appointments and you have to wait anywhere from two to four hours even though you have an appointment!!!!
Call center is the worse between the customer service representatives and supervisor they need retraining and people who speak English. What type of place do they run .
