My appt was for 12:30 But I thought I would try to do a walk-in, I showed up at 6:15am by then i had drank 2 bottles of water to be sure i was hydrated and to my surprise, I got called back in about five minutes. Alex was the girl who drew my blood. I had told her my left arm had 3 failed attempts last month and took a month for the bruising to go away. I also told her my veins are hard to get, and they roll. I asked if she could try to get blood from my right arm. She looked over my right arm, and found a vein little lower than my elbow and was successful with no pain. I had a very good experience with Alex, I wouldnt hesitate to have her draw blood again from me. Maybe it was just luck of the draw 🙃🙂
Updating again:Dimeca, she’s the Team Lead here. She is the best, awesome, very thorough, super kind and super polite. We love her. She was on long vacation when I posted the below review. She is back and full of positive vibes. I would give her 7 stars. She helped my Mom with her last work few weeks ago and another one this afternoon. Easy going! what a change with her presence! Thank you for all your effort! :-)This was my old post:Had to delete my old review and resubmit. The staff here changed since the last time I visited. I took an appointment and yet had to wait over an hour. The front desk crew is very slow and lazy. They need to get more staff and front desk needs to speed up their pace rather than working very casually. They seem to be very relaxed and work at low pace while a lot of elderly people are just waiting for the their paperwork to be checked-in and get ready status.
This is a mixed review, I would like to share the experience that I have been through in the same day.One photo shows my left arm, taken after Lynn took my blood.Another photo shows my right arm, taken after Alex took my blood.Firstly, I want to give a big thumbs up to Lynn, who did my second blood draw. She was very professional and thoughtful, making the experience very pleasant.Secondly, I would like to express my sincere concern with the technician Alex, who did my first blood draw. You would share my concern if you saw the photo of my right arm after she took my blood. She insisted on getting two tubes of blood even though the needle was not in the correct position. She ended up discarding both tubes. My question is, if she knew she couldnt get the needle in the correct position from the start and wouldnt be able to draw enough blood, why did she insist on twisting the needle in my arm and collecting two tubes, only to discard them? The first one should be enough.I believe the technician should have more empathy and care for patients, especially since there are many seniors in the Sun Lake area. This is why I am writing this review: I believe more training is necessary for her.
Had an appointment scheduled for two weeks. Showed up and they’re “closed for a staff meeting.” Several other people also had appointments. The solution the employees provided was for me to drive across town and hope they can squeeze me in as a walk-in. I have a job (which is why I scheduled this appointment), and I also have physical limitations and can’t drive long distances. Also, the manager was late for the staff meeting so couldn’t speak with him to address my concerns.
In June, I had the worst experience with a phlebotomist. She talked the entire time about her personal life, how she wished she was back in New York, how tired she was, on & on. While doing so, she had to ask others for help finding the codes. It took her forever. When I got my results, I found she had skipped one of the tests entirely & she messed up another. I had to go to another location & get blood re-tested.
I had the worst experience! Nobody was on the front desk to help out . Was there to drop off specimen which I clearly described it on the kiosk since nobody was helping out. My turn took forever and when it was finally my turn, the service and communication were terrible. They were rude with all the patients not just me. Never would go back and definitely not recommend it.
Don’t go here if you need newborn screening. The woman gave us a strange look the second we got called in probably because she had never done newborn screening before. She was rude and someone else had to come in and do it all over again because she didn’t do it properly. It was very unprofessional.
I got my blood drawn here and only passed out once when i woke up there was a beautiful woman standing over me and i remembered i had gone to get my blood drawn that day i have diabetes.
This place is a joke. Checked into their system sat for 45 mins past my appointment time to find out their checkin system didn’t work. Was not one person at the front desk for the entire time I was there. Don’t know how this place stays in business.
Today (11/3) I was seen at 10:30AM, while my appointment was at 9:00AM. Front office personnel is simply incompetent. Though I signed in they were calling people who came after me and with later appointments to do paper work. They also let one lady to move ahead because she raised her voice. Their TV is aways broken to display waiting order and I am not sure their check in stations even work. I sat and waited patiently only to wait longer. I do have to admit, it was fun to listen to others venting. Anyway, I am not returning to this location anymore. Now I know why this location always has appointment availability when other locations are full!
Ms. Dimeca is the absolute best! Shes very thorough and extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend her for any labwork needs!
Staff is nice but they are overwhelmed. Be prepared to wait even with a scheduled appointment. Sonora Quest needs to shut down their self scheduled appointment system. No excuse to allow so many people to book appointments when they know they cannot see anyone on time. Minimum of 1 hour wait beyond scheduled appointment time 2 weeks in a row. Common theme both times amongst the entirety of the packed waiting room.Sent this on social but hoping for a reply here.Hey I am curious why you allow appointments to be booked at your Alma School and Riggs location when they are short staffed and they are always over an hour behind. The staff here two weeks in a row says there is nothing they can do about it. Corporate can and should shut down appointment bookings if you cant see people with scheduled appointments within a reasonable amount of time. People take lunch breaks and fast for these tests. This needs to be fixed asap. You are setting alot of people.
Wait time is absolutely terrible, even if you have an appointment. Weve gone multiple times and it has taken almost 45 minutes AFTER my appointment time to even get in. The waiting room is also super small and cramped, and people have to stand because there isnt enough seats. Get labs somewhere else.
Had blood drawn for some lab tests and this Sonora Quest location was terrific. It was easy to make my appointment on line and when I arrived I was able to check in at the kiosk. Shortly after that the front desk person quickly verified my insurance info. While I was waiting I was impressed by the upbeat and friendly interaction between all the staff and the clients (as well as between themselves). My technician was Dimeca and not only was she friendly, positive, upbeat and efficient - she flawlessly and painlessly did the draw! Love this location for the folks, the fact that every time Ive used it, it has not been crowded and that Im usually in and done within minutes of my appt time!
Honestly not sure what all the bad reviews are for. Went in yesterday for my 1:45 appointment and was in my car driving home by 2:02.... Thought that was pretty good to be honest.
My husband had bloodwork done at this location and I have to say it was the best experience that either of us has had at a lab for a long time!!When we got there, our doctor had forgotten to send the order. The girls at the desk were so kind and helpful! They got the order sent over and the bloodwork was done in a very short time!!! The girl who drew his blood hit the vein the first time -with no pain! We were extremely pleased with the entire experience!I would highly recommend this lab!!!
I picked this place even though it is a longer drive from my home because of availability. After I made the appointment, I realized there are a lot of poor reviews, mostly about waiting time and poor service. So, I was skeptical going there. But my overall experience was very good. There were about 8 other people waiting there when I showed up. Once I checked in at the Kiosk, they called me in about 5 minutes for payments and then a few more minutes before they called me in to draw blood. The gal Ecno was amazing. She found my vein in the first try - my veins are hard to find. 4 out of 5 people need two or more tries before finding them. They are great. I wont hesitate to go back in the future.
I have never had a company make it this hard to pay a bill. Tried to call and pay my bill the way I do most places - people dont take payment but please use the phone bill pay. Their phone bill pay couldnt understand what I was saying or typing into the phone. Tried that a few times. Finally found the checkbook and sent in a check. Still got a notice 3 weeks later that they want the bill paid. Called and waited on hold and they said , we will call you back at this number. That took so long that I was running errands when they called back. Called again and same deal. Still havent managed to talk to anyone today.
It does not matter at all if you have an appointment. You are going to wait until the patient folks who came in before you get service.
I scheduled an appointment at this office online. I had some questions so the day before my appointment I called during regular business hours twice, but no one answered. Both times I called I left a message with my name, phone number, and appointment ID. I received no return call, so I showed up early the day of the appointment to check in. Upon arriving staff told me I could not complete my appointment at their location and would have to go to another location.
I’ve been going to this lab periodically for several years. At this last appointment the desk ladies who I have never seen before were extremely short and rude. One of them was wearing her mask under her nose, which I don’t really care about masks but if a place is REQUIRING them - everyone working should wear them correctly. On top of these two issues, I scheduled an appointment - which in order to do so, I pushed back my labs by almost 3 weeks… Only to sit and wait for 25 minutes and not be called so I got my lab requisition and I left. Zero explanation or apology for being late, zero question or update on how much longer I would have to wait. Just rudely acquired and handed me back my lab paperwork.
The staff are dismissive, rude and terrible communicators. The woman at the front desk held onto my insurance card for over an hour before entering it into the system and was visibly annoyed when I asked for my card back. We waited over 2 hours with a FASTING CHILD and finally walked out. Having blood drawn is already a stressful experience for a child and the staff made our visit so much more painful. They need to be taught good customer service and empathy. I will never got back to this location.
Scheduled appointment, no wait time. 28 June 2018The moment I walked through the door a friendly greeting was given by both Tanya and Janine.Check-in was easy and quick with the assistance of these two delightful women. During check-in I received a friendly smile and greeting from another staff member named Jenny. My Lab/Draw Technician was Melissa T. What a refreshingly professional attitude this young woman has. I am admittedly needle shy. At 60+ years young, this was by far the best draw experience I have ever had, truly. Thank you to each of these ladies for making my appointment a pleasant one. In closing, I found this facility to be immaculate both outside and inside. Cleanliness is paramount when it comes to patient Diagnostic Labs and that of their staff. Should the need arise for further tests, I would not hesitate to schedule another appointment at this location.
I waited 2.5 hours with no one even bothering to give an ETA on when I would be seen. I sat in a crowded waiting room and with no hope of getting anything done in sight, I ended up just leaving. The staff are unapologetic and I can tell from previous reviews, this is an accepted status quo at this office. Find an alternative location to get work done.
Online scheduled for car side COVID test and recommended by Chandler location. Says they are open. I drive 20 min while super sick to arrive to see a sign that says, “closed due to weather.” There was no snow, no rain and it barely cold. What weather? Said to go inside and test will be honored. I get to the door and said not to enter if symptomatic. Why offer then? I didn’t to not risk getting other sick. So I called over and over for an hour and the main line. I left voicemails and still not have heard back. Do you know how hard it is to schedule a PCR test? The next one I was recommended to go to by Chandler office is over half our away. I did not have the energy for that! I was turned away at Chandler location because I was symptomatic. Why offer a COVID test? Absolutely atrocious.
The staff doesnt seem very happy working here. They all need to put a smile on their faces.
V slow process. Lots of aged patients waiting more than 45 min with appointment. Not caring staff. Every one is frustrated. One of the staff member untreated the daughter to stop calm down while she was answering her mothers question. As mother was 87 year old and waiting since 12:30. Its 1:43 pm. Just called her . no one bother to take verbal order from her Dr. The daughter was following up with Dr. Ang recepnist back and forth. It v upsetting how your system works. I been here since 1:05. I may have to wait couple hrs. I was told 30 min.
Had an appointment for 10.10. Didnt get seen until 11.30. This is the second time Ive been here and both times the wait was equally bad. I went in to double check what was the hold up and they claimed they called us back 15 minutes ago. I had been literally standing in front of the building the whole time. Whats the point of an appointment if your still going to gave to wait half the day?
EDIT: I had my blood drawn on a Tuesday and they were simple labs that I’ve been getting drawn every week for several weeks. Today is Sunday and the results are still not available which makes me wonder if they’re even going to be accurate if they did not run them right away. The results are usually back by Thursday, Friday the latest. I will not come back to this Sonora Quest. The phlebotomist are standing around waiting for the front desk. It has been 15min since they (front desk people) called someone up to check anyone in. I honestly don’t know what they’re doing. I have never seen such a slow Sonora quest.
The paperwork says to call if I have questions, but no one answers the phone. Please run as far as you can from this place
Dont bother making an appointment. I was there ten minutes before my appointment at 2:30. I was the last person to be treated after all the people who came in after me. As far as I can tell, only one or two had appointments. Too bad. The phlebotomists are great here. The staff......
To the owners of this Labs location.I think people are more likely to post a negative rather than a positive. Im not going to be one of them. I have been going here for some time and have been treated with courtesy and kindness 99% of the time. I had one bad incident with one tech that has been there a long time but after relating it to the staff my problem was solved to my satisfaction. I have been a witness to people coming in on a busy day & time and expect the impossible. They talk to the staff like it is their fault that all the people that came in before them are there and will get taken before them. The staff has taken their rudeness with professional courtesy.I wouldnt have a problem recommending this location to anyone.
Great experience. Scheduled appointment online. Make sure you have atleast a week or two to make an appointment as appointments are filled quickly with COVID. I loved my phlebotomist! She was so kind and sweet. Also there was no pain which is hard to do with me! Love this location.
Made an appointment and waited 1 1/2 hours to get in. nonsense. the bathroom also had paper towels on the floor. the lady at the front desk said they were short staffed. I was in a year ago and was told the same thing. this sort of wait should not be happening during the virus. Time to fix it or close up, did not feel safe at all.
Not the worst wait times but annoying and seemed disorganized at least at the front desk. This is the second time going to this location. The first time was a walk in just to drop something off, I waited 30 minutes before I had to leave for an appointment only to come back after to do the drop off which only took 2 minutes. This time I had an appointment and still ended up waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time to get blood drawn.
The staff was great! Starting with Clairese and Tanya at the front desk. I got there early...an hour before opening and I was 2nd in line out of 13 who were in line at opening. Unlike other reviews, they did take those with appts first. Terry Rose drew lots of blood and did a fantastic job. They were all very accomodating with my disability and service dog. 2 tips...get there early or make an appt. I was in and out with no appt by 730am. Great job ladies!!
Absolutely the worst. No concept of appointment times. Had an 8.15 am , arrived and checked in at 8.10 am ... didnt even get called by front desk till 8.35...after another 25 minutes of waiting for done at 9...go there if you are prepared to hang around for hours for simple blood work...
Very impressed with this location. They kept everyone moving. Got walk ins done with appointments in a timely manner.
Long waiting time. Went at 8:30 AM today. The number displayed on the list was 11 and my wife was 12th. Slowly the number went to 6-7 and again came back to 11-12. We were continually going up and down on their list displayed on Screen. Finally got my turn at 11 AM. But again my wife had to wait another half an hour. The staff were good, but they need more staff to tackle the rush only 2-3 were taking blood samples. Terrible experience here. We came from Texas, where waiting has never been more than 10 minutes. All Tomthumb/Albertsons stores have a Quest Sample collection lab. AZ needs to check with Texas
Had a walk-in at around 9am, little line, quick turnaround. It was just a blood test, but I feel like the lady at the window was polite and I got in pretty fast. All in all, great experience.
Very pleased with this location, I have always had trouble getting my labs drawn due to not many techs being able to draw me, came over to the Sun lakes location tech dimenca was able to draw me with one poke and done, I was in and out , she was amazing definitely my favorite location thank you all
This is a horribly rude place. Just rediculous and Ill be reporting this to corporate. I arrived 15 minutes prior to closing and they call be back at 3 pm with a large obnoxious black woman following me around asking me what the problem is!!! They missed a lab order and she kept hounding me whats the PROBELM?????? what a sorry excuse for an employee.
I had to take my children in to get bloodwork and from the very beginning when i was asked up to sign paperwork the fron office lady was very rude and disrespectful. There was two ladies in the front office one with brown and pink hair and one with a head bandanna the one with the bandanna was the rude one. When i finally took my children in to get bloodwork my children were panicking because they are not good with shots but the lady with the bandanna from the front office found it ok to kick me and my child out of the office and told us to sit in the car. I thought i was going in to an office full of proffesional people but instead i got very rude and disrespectful ladies the only one who had patience was the lady who took on my childs bloodwork but her assistant had the audacity to cover her ears and give side eye looks to her co-workers as my child cryed making the situation so much more uncomfortable than it already was. My family and I will never be going back to this location or any sonoran lab quest ever again and will make sure to let everyone know how i was treated at this location with its rude customer service.
This place is terrible. I had an appointment for over a week, yet when I went there they say the wait time, even with an appointment, is over an hour.
Hi,Angie is the best lab tech that I have ever had. I’m a very hard draw, and she is the only one who always gets it the first time! This is the Sonora quest in the Eastlake Medical Office.
It is impossible to make an appointment! I have tried to register on line but it will not set up an account for me so I am unable to use that method, and when I call the main line and go through the many automated questions I finally reach a point where it says would you like me to transfer you to that location. I say yes and am disconnected.
They are fast and very kind.
I loved Sonora Quest, until your insurance lapses...didnt know mine did and they dont verify it. Got a bill for $1,290, which usually cost $300 out of pocket, and I could have paid this at my naturopathic doctor...instead I wanted this to go towards my deductible. They offered to take 30% off so it would still be around $900, whoopee. Never going back to this location or any other one for that matter. Total thieves and price gaugers.
Very unorganized and unprofessional. The employees are more concerned about chatting amongst each other instead of greeting patients. I came in for a drug analysis and it took almost an hour to be seen with only three additional patients in the office.
Horrible and rude... When I arrived, I was told they do not do Biometric Screening. But in fact, there is no Biometric Screening option when making an appointment online. I wish I could give them 0 star...
Showed up 10 minutes early and didn’t get seen until 30 minutes late. Back office seemed very chaotic, needs to be staffed better. The admin staff seemed to be trying their best but the staffing did not appear to be adequate
All the ladies that were there during my visit were very nice, polite, and in high spirits. I saw several complainers and their response was very professional.
Came in for blood work. I am a cash paying patient. The staff was friendly and courteous. The test pricing was more than reasonable.my thanks go out to the staff.
Have a 8:30 appointment, its now 9:30.. wth.. why! Incompetence!
Front office is very rude! Around 11:50 on 9-29-23.
The wait times are unbelievable have an appointment you’re still going to wait up to 45 minutes.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. AS I WAS BARELY WALKING IN SHE SAW MY FORM AND SAID IM SORRY WERE NO LONGER DOING THAT, WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING WHAT I WAS THERE FOR. EXTREMELY RUDE. THEY CLOSE AT 3:00 AND I WAS THERE AT 2:30... RIDICULOUS.
Front desk was rude, only one checking machine was working, had to wait just to drop off..this location has seniors that have issues with machines
No problem going here always pleasant in and out quickly ...some people that do come in are rude to the staff so u get what u give...go somewhere else its that simple.
Long wait times what’s the point of an appointment if they aren’t even on time
If you are untrained, uneducated, and rude...you should work here too! You will fit right in. Horrble place.
Wait times are too long! Mac is unprofessional ( language)
Even with an appointment, and a computerized check in system, the receptionist should still look up when you walk up to the counter.
Great experience. I was in and out quickly. Clarise is a one stick wonder.
I had to wait over an hour after scheduled appointment
I have always had good experiences at Sonora Quest.
Very slow & not enough employees for the blood drawn.
No dull needles here!
Professional and courteous
