FSC and my case coordinator Rachel have been absolutely amazing!! FSC provides so much support to their surrogates, social media support groups, monthly zoom support calls and even in person group meetings. Rachel has made every step of the process smooth and is there anytime I need her!! She has so much experience and has calmed so many fears along the journey!!
Family Source Consultants is a fantastic agency! Ive completed 2 surrogacy journeys with them and they are very attentive to everyones needs individually. We received very prompt, professional but yet warm responses when there were any situations that needed addressing.Rachael has been amazing and has taken care of both the surrogacy side and the ips and we have had the best experience. She is caring and trustworthy and has been great to work with.10 out of 10 for the experience.
As a surrogate with this agency, Ive had a wonderful experience. Everyone was very supportive and welcoming on every step of my journey! The reason I actually decided to go with them after looking into other agencies, was that they would let me birth the way I wanted (all natural at birth center vs hospital) and they didnt have any vaccination requirements. They left all those decisions up to me and the IPs! The only criticism I would have, is that they did have a high turnover with case coordinators. I went through a total of 4 in just one journey. As soon as I made a relationship with one, I would get an email saying they were gone and I have a new one now. Other than that, amazing agency!
We have been working with FSC for quit a while. We highly appreciate their efforts and support during our journey which was quit long. All the service we received was always professional and with a smile. All the case managers we worked with were cooperative, experienced and committed to give us the best services and in full transparency, patience and In explanatory way. They did all their efforts to find the best surrogate for us and to guide us all the way.Our case manager truly supported our highs and lows and gave us strength in time of need.We truly felt wrapped while working with FSC.We highly recommend.Guy and Zohar
The team at FSC is both professional and personable. Weve had a great experience working with the team and appreciate how helpful theyve been at each step of the way - from education, to egg donors, to surrogate matching, and finally to pregnancy. As intended parents, weve appreciated how wonderful our case manager, Rachael, has been through each milestone. Surrogacy is by design an emotional and imperfect journey, but FSC was supportive, informative, and reliable at all times.
It was a pleasure working with Family Source Consultants agency. They were there for me and the IPs every step of the way! This was my first experience being a surrogate and with the support I received from them, Im considering working with them again!
Disappointing Experience with Family Source Consultants - Unmet Promises and Delays in Surrogacy ProcessReview:As someone who has recently gone through the surrogacy and egg donation process with Family Source Consultants (FSC), I feel compelled to share my experience, particularly after my partners review was removed. While there were positive aspects, notably in the egg donation phase, our overall journey with FSC was marred by unmet promises and frustrating delays, especially in the surrogacy aspect. The positive: The process of egg donation was a highlight for us. It was made special by our own efforts to get to know our egg donor, which FSC facilitated. This personal connection greatly enhanced our experience, making it the more positive aspect of our journey with FSC.The negative: Our experience with the surrogacy process was deeply disappointing. Initially, FSCs sales team was persuasive and confident, promising a match within 3-6 months, hinting it would likely be closer to 3. This promise was a key factor in our decision to choose FSC. However, the reality was starkly different. We went through several match coordinators, and the communication we received was largely the same each month – nothing to report, but we keep looking for the perfect match. This repetitive and non-progressive update was disheartening and frustrating. As the contract guarantees a match by 12 months, it felt like FSC was racing against time in the 12th month, suddenly presenting us with numerous potential matches. This last-minute rush appeared more like an effort to fulfill contractual obligations rather than a genuine attempt to find the right match for us. This approach lacked the personalization and care we expected and contrasted sharply with the promises made at the outset.Overall, our experience with FSC left us feeling let down. The strong sales process and initial promises did not translate into the attentive and efficient service we were led to expect. While the egg donation part of our journey was positive, mainly due to our own initiative in building a connection with the donor, the surrogacy process was fraught with delays and a lack of meaningful progress, culminating in a rushed and impersonal attempt to meet contractual terms.I hope this review helps others in making an informed decision when considering FSC for similar services.Pedro Jungk
Hello Everyone,If I’m being honest, I never imagined I’d have to write this post, but I’m here now to warn all of you who still haven’t chosen an agency.A year and half ago I signed a contract with FSC - Family Source Consultant. I paid a deposit of 20k upon signing and waited patiently for that million dollar match email. And it arrived! After only 3 months they found a match. The surrogate and I had an amazing zoom match call, as if it was meant to be.Per the contract with FSC, my budget for a surrogate was 48k and when I was given her profile prior to the match zoom, it said that her compensation contract with FSC is 58k. I did not notice that and I take full responsibility for it, but from a service-oriented point of view, I’d expect the matching team to point that out prior to the zoom and not after. They did mention the additional 10k compensation right after we both agreed to continue. An hour later, I received a payment request of additional 20k to reserve the surrogate and I did.We began with the usual protocol of having her medical records sent to my clinic and the doctor approved her for carrying twins. We scheduled her for a physical exam and this is where things started going wrong.A week prior to her appointment she had a minor car accident with a minor concussion, so we had to postpone. I completely understood and asked the matching team to send my regards and wish her well. (They refused to share her info and allow me to reach out and check on her, to show her that I care). The next appointment was scheduled for a month later, and was canceled as well since she was diagnosed with COVID. Things happen… I get it. It’s understandable and I just hoped she’d be feeling well.Another appointment was scheduled and just one week before, she called in to report that she may lose her job as well as her surrogacy-friendly insurance. Two minutes later, I already had an email from FSC telling me that I can pay for her insurance, which will be additional 8k for the year, and that was before she even made it to the physical exam.At this point I started to feel that maybe she is not ready… maybe despite the great zoom matching call, she is not the one. I expressed those feelings to FSC and they reassured me that she is very committed to the process. Two weeks later I received an email from FSC saying that she has lost her job and has decided not to continue. In some way I was disappointed but also relieved. That happened on January 2023, about 6 months after the match took place. FSC told me that I will be going back to the search but will be placed at the TOP of the list. It’s been another six months and all I’m getting is a generated “touch base” emails, telling me that there hasn’t been a new match found, but they keep adding surrogates etc…I reached out to FSC and requested my 20k deposit back. The 20k I paid to reserve the first surrogate. They refused and directed me to the contract saying that this fee is non refundable and that the contract that I have is an unlimited match contract. At this point, I have zero trust with FSC and no longer wish to work with them. I am frustrated but not going to let FSC get away with it, let alone stopping me from becoming a Dad.
This is a difficult review to write. Surrogacy journeys are emotional, and I want to be fair, but honest. We signed with a different agency in June 20. By Sept 21, we had yet to see a profile. When we spoke with our agency, they explained the hardships caused by COVID and that it could take another 12 months to match.Earlier in our journey, we worked with FSC for egg donation and, although that did not work out, we reapproached FSC curious if they could match us faster. We spoke with a Dir. of Client Development (I am not using names) who said that we could expect to see our first profile in 2-3 months. Great! We signed with FSC around Labor Day.Once signed, we were handed to a Case Manager. We expressed how excited we were to see a profile in 2-3 months. She quickly corrected that it would be closer to 4 months; longer than what we were promised before writing FSC a check. In the grand scheme of things, the extra month or two was not a big deal, but it felt like they overpromised simply to get our deposit.Around Christmas, we were shown a profile. The email started with “we have an interesting option for you.” We were told the surrogate had insurance and was willing to carry twins (both requirements), but she was in TN. Were we willing to go to TN? As a gay couple, TN is not high on our list and, if you look at the surrogate map on FSC’s website, you’ll note the TN is risky for surrogacy. FSC suggested maybe the surrogate could give birth in a neighboring state like KY or VA. We had many questions for FSC about LGBT+ surrogacy in TN, KY or VA. They could not answer them, but referred us to attorneys in those states. After speaking with several attorneys, we decided to match.Turns out, our surrogate DID NOT have insurance (WE caught this prior to signing, not FSC), but FSC told us that we could get a policy under the ACA. In Jan 22, FSC sent us our policy: BCBS TN. It looked fine to me. Thank God my husband thought to ask “Can you use a TN policy in KY?” The answer is no, so FSC told us we could get a private policy for $40K. Excuse me? Between the extra $40K and all the legal hurdles we were going to have to overcome in KY, we had had enough and broke our match.I believe FSC presented us with Surrogate A’s profile so they could say they gave us a profile in 4 months as promised, but what a poor match it was. We agreed to match assuming FSC could help us navigate the difficulties of having babies in TN/KY/VA, but all they did was direct us to attorneys, most of whom want a fee before they speak to you. That Surrogate A also needed an ACA policy and FSC was not able to forewarn us about the impossibility of using the ACA if giving birth in another state is stunning. FSC did let us rematch without paying the $10K rematch fee, but I imagine that is because they realized just how poorly they handled our case.We were presented with Surrogate B’s profile in March 22. Her BMI was quite high, but just under our Fertility Clinic’s cut off. It turns out that Surrogate B approached FSC months prior and, with FSC’s help, lost enough weight to be an eligible surrogate at most clinics. We flew Surrogate B across the country for her physical … and her BMI was way over our Fertility Clinic’s cut off. She either never lost the weight she said she did (why didn’t FSC verify this) or regained all the weight she lost in a few weeks’ time (very concerning).FSC asked if we wanted to continue with her. They explained that she could get down to the right weight in several months if she dieted and they would verify her weight loss with weekly photos of the scale. How are we supposed to proceed with her? She was either lying about her weight loss (and I have no trust in her carrying our babies) or she put on an unhealthy amount of weight in a very short time. We broke the match and FSC again agreed to waive the rematch fee.A few weeks later, we stopped working with FSC. The trust was gone. It does not feel like FSC put much care into our journey; just how quickly they could get us to the next step to collect more money.
Very professional and experienced, the team is absolutely great and helpful and guides you through this emotional and complex journey safely. From our first visit in their Chicago office to now - 4 years later and awaiting our little miracle who is supposed to come by November - we got to know many helpful and wonderful FSC-members, above all our current case manager: Sarah ❤️
There arent enough stars available to accurately express our gratitude to FSC. They are true miracle workers. Warm, professional, and efficient, FSC helped us make our dream come true. Knowing so little about the process I was amazed to see how quickly they brought together all the pieces to get the journey going. Once we were going, they were there every step of the way to support us. We are so grateful to them and our surrogate and her family. It is easy to promote good people doing good things.
We found FSC through the suggestions our fertility clinic gave us, and after meeting with them we felt like it was a great fit. Every step of the way FSC kept us well informed and always checked in on us to see if we had questions or concerns. My husband and I had a long and not always easy path to welcoming our daughter into the world, and FSC was there throughout the entire journey to comfort, help, and guide us through the ups and downs. With the help of Ronda (truly an amazing case manager!), we matched with our surrogate and were finally able to begin our family through surrogacy. We even recommended our friends give FSC a chance and are excited to see them potentially build their family and continue to grow ours someday!
The case managers at FSC are amazing! They are always there to answer your calls and queries. At FSC, you feel like you are treated as so much more than just a number selling their genetic material. You are treated as a person giving a beautiful gift to recipient families. They work closely with the fertility clinics to make sure that your health, time, and overall wellbeing is a top priority.
Surrogate journey *20-21Unfortunately my journey wasn’t what I was told it would be. I was switched case managers 3 times! Was left at a horrible hotel for transfer until I called the IPs to switch me. No one from the agency would answer the phone that night. The next morning my case manager had the audacity to say “what’s up”…. Once I delivered surrogate babe I wanted to start a new journey with a new agency and they REFUSED to give me my MEDICAL RECORDS. I truly don’t understand why they can’t give them back to me. So please look at your options of you are looking to do a surrogacy journey with this company.
My husband and I learned about Family Source Consultants while attending a ‘Men Having Babies’ conference in Chicago a few years ago. Fast forward a few years and we are now the proud fathers of a beautiful healthy baby boy via surrogacy!Where can I begin to review FSC? Their team is extraordinarily helpful in navigating a seemingly complex process with lots of moving parts. Excellent communication, helpful resources, clear direction and guidance, friendly and professional staff, and a company committed to building families. Our client relations specialist Alissa was there for us from the very beginning and was instrumental in matching my husband and I with our surrogate. Our case manager Rachael was by our side every step of the way and was always available to assist with anything we needed especially throughout the embryo transfer and pregnancy stages.Overall, my husband and I are hugely satisfied with FSC and would recommend them to any intended parents wanting to build their family. In the near future, we would like to have a second child via surrogacy and we’ll certainly plan on partnering with FSC for this process.
LOVE! My experience working with FSC has been awesome! My first match was the absolute perfect match for me, so perfect, they asked me to carry for them again! I am currently match for my third time and I have to say, I couldnt be happier with this match! Zara and Staci have been great to work with, not to mention all the support all the staff have to offer!
Absolutely amazing! Just finished my first surrogacy journey and everything went so great thanks to FSC! I couldnt have asked for a smoother, better experience! FSC really prides themselves in creating a safe, supportive environment for everyone.
Family Source Consultants was the 2nd agency we tried. The first wasn’t able to match us after 9 months. And, FSC was able to find us a surrogate immediately. Our case worker; Didi, was simply amazing. She was patient, knowledgeable, and understanding. She gave us insight to things that we didn’t even know we needed to think of. And, she helped us navigate our relationship with our surrogate expertly. I would highly recommend FSC to anyone struggling with infertility and looking to go the gestational surrogate route.
I am so thankful for everyone at Family Source Consultants. They have made this journey wonderful. This was my first time being an egg donor and every step of the way I felt as though Nicole was by my side. She was always checking to make sure everything was going smoothly for me and always there to answer any questions I had throughout the entire process. It was an honor to be able to help a couple to expand their family and everyone that walked me though this process made it so much more enjoyable! I have recommended Family Source Consultants to friends and family that are willing to help other families in need. I also look forward to working with them again!
FSC was so great to work with. The Program Coordinators, the Surrogacy Support Manager and even the Co-Founders always made sure all my needs were met and that I was comfortable each step of the way. They made it so easy for me - answering questions, helping me communicate with the reproductive endocrinologist office and my intended parents. I would work with them again in a heartbeat if I was going to do another surrogacy journey!
I began my surrogacy journey with Family Source Consultants in 2022 and let me just say, it has been nothing short of amazing. I applied late one evening and THE VERY NEXT DAY I received a call from FSC. Shortly after speaking with them, I had my interview the same day. Since that day they kept in contact with with me whether it be on a weekend or late at night. As a curious person, I tend to have many questions and anytime I’ve contacted my manager with a question, theyve gone above and beyond to answer it. When I say above and beyond, I mean she let me call her at 9:30pm and not only answered my questions but filled me in on even more helpful information. Amber was my case manager and she is absolutely amazing and has been on the ball since day one. I have enjoyed working with FSC. I gave birth to surrobabe May 2023. Ill also add that it only took about 2 weeks to match. I’m so excited to continue Surrogacy Journeys with them!
Our journey has been a long one, but not because of the agency. The first surrogate match went quite fast (within 2-3 months), very unfortunate we could not transfer any embryo. Ever since it took quite long to rematch (7-8 months) which also was impacted by the pandemic. At all times weve had a great case manager, supporting us throughout the entire journey, ensuring all required paperwork was in place (insurance etc.) and checked in on a frequent base. Even now the baby is born and were finalizing the last pieces of invoices, paperwork etc. we still have the feeling were treated with priority and as a human. These journeys can be lengthy and bumpy (like ours) and at those points its great to have a good relationship and support from the agency, which is much appreciated.
This agency has been so amazing to me and my case manager has been there for me through every little step ! I couldn’t have done it without her !
I enjoyed working with Family Source Consultants. Didi Perry is my consultant, and she is very responsive, always on top of everything. Even after my babys birth, when I have questions about getting social security number for my baby, she pointed me to the right direction. I recommend FSC and Didi to everyone who wants to be a parent. You will be in good hands!
Staci, Zara and the entire Family Source team were amazing to work with and the reason we have our six year old twin girls (wow time flies)!! When we were looking for an egg donor they were by far the best partner that helped us not only find a perfect match, but to meet with her as well which for us, made the process a much more positive and confident to move forward and start our family. We now have two new families we didnt plan on when we started our journey...the open egg donors and Family Source!! We also decided to give back and became a surrogate family a few years after we had our girls for a great couple we matched through Family Source...you will not find a better partner to help you start your new family or to help others start theirs!!
FSC was truly amazing to work with. All the case managers are amazing and always available but we definitely had a special bond to our case manager Rachael. They are very respectful, helpful and most of all knowledgeable and I highly recommend FSC. We would definitely use them again. This journey is not cheap so Five star service is what we expected and FSC DELIVERED!!!
This will be my second time working with FSC and I couldnt be happier! Jessica and Krista are absolutely wonderful! Theyve made me feel so welcome and happy. Everyone Ive had the pleasure of meeting at FSC cares a great deal about all the people they work with and they go above and beyond to make sure you stay happy, healthy and well informed. I highly recommend working with these wonderful people!
FSC made the process of being a gestational surrogate easy. They literally outlined and guided your every step so you always knew what to expect next. In addition, their staff provided much needed emotional support and advice; they really bring all of their surrogates together. All of these things make it seem like you are part of a family rather than just an agency - truly cared for and valued. Thank you FSC for being there in every possible for me!
Currently in my first surrogate journey and beyond thankful for the team at FSC. I have had support every step of the way and never feel like a question goes unanswered. I also can’t say enough good about the surrogate support group they offer, some of my close friends have come from it and it’s amazing to have support from ladies every step of the journey.
Family Source Consultants, is a group of fine professionals who have passion to make other peoples dreams come true throughout facilitating the means for intended parents to have a family. They are knowledgeable, experienced and resourceful with Mora than ten years in the business helping hundreds of families with the miracle of life!I experience first hand their support in helping my daughter Alejandra became mother of two beautiful twins!
FSC did an amazing job matching me with a truly perfect set of IPs. Megan, Krista, Ronda, Tracy, Denise and Nora have been amazing to work with. The entire agency has been supportive for every step of the journey.
Family Source is nothing short of amazing! They are helping us achieve our dream of completing our family, and have been with us every step of the way. Ronda is the best and is so compassionate, patient, understanding, and extremely supportive! We are so lucky to have her by our side, and have definitely made a friend for life!
In the process of being an egg donor, I absolutely love FSC. Their my coordinator always wished me luck before an appointment, theyre on top of things all the time! Cant wait to start my second Journey with FSC in the future!
Thank you so much for helping us to build our family! We shared with you the most wonderful experience we have lived. Our two daughters, our most precious treasure. We remember all FSC team so much! Zara, Staci, Jessica....Unforgettable. Hugs!
The first time I contacted this agency, they were really nice and helpful. They actually treated me a little like a queen. Which was really a change considering all the other agencies that I talked to treated me like just a number. Zara was really nice and helpful for awhile, but after a few months that changed. What I didnt like about this agency was they make you look for your own insurance policy to cover the pregnancy, if your personal policy does not cover it. This was frustrating for me, because not only did I have to figure what policies covered surrogacy, but I also had to pay for it out of my own account and hope for the IPs to pay me back. They also got really upset when I found my own lawyer to represent me, instead of one the recommended in my area (the one the recommended was a criminal lawyer with no background in surrogacy). Then when the IPs and I finally reached the contract phase, they never came to my aid. They allowed to IPs to say some nasty things about me and my family, and they never told them that they were in the wrong. Once the contract was worked out and the IPs and I had worked out some of our issues we began the med proces When you start the medication you have to go to 3 appointments before transfer, well those appointments were billed to me. I was told to just send them to the office and they would be taken care of. Little did I know, when I sent them to the office, they sent them to the IPs to pay (this is not supposed to happen, the agency is supposed to take care of the bills using the money that the IPs have set aside in an account with the agency) The IPs decided that the bills were too expensive and wanted to get them lowered. So they decided to call the medical centers that I went to, and tried to negotiate them down, this process took over 6 months to get worked out. In the mean time the bills kept coming to my house, with late payment notices. When I asked family source why they did this, they responded thats what your IPs wanted to do. According to my contract the bills were supposed to be taken care of with in 5 days of receiving them, and that never happened. My IPs were constantly breaking the contract and family source basically said that my IPs could do whatever they wanted.A month before the scheduled transfer, I started taking the scheduled hormones. And about 4 or 5 days before the transfer, the IPs decided that they were not going to go through with the transfer. Apparently it conflicted with their schedule. So we canceled it and Zara stated that she would take care of scheduling the next transfer, well 2 months went by I still hadnt gotten a schedule for the next transfer. So I contacted the clinic myself to see what was going on. And they said no one from family source had contacted them about a new transfer date. The clinic contacted the IPs about a date to see what they wanted. The IPs were very angry that a date hadnt been worked out yet, but they blamed me. They decided that that I should have been the one to schedule the new transfer after they canceled, and it wasnt their responsibility. After this argument the IPs sent me an email stating that our contract was over. Which I thought, I guess that is ok, now I can find a new couple. But I was wrong, the IPs through such a fit with family source and Zara, that I was told could no longer be a surrogate for their company because I refused to schedule a new transfer (which I find kinda funny now, because I have the email from Zara stating that she was going to take care of it). By the way, the bills that I talked about before were still unpaid when they canceled the contract. After months of them refusing to pay them, some one finally did. And I have no idea who paid them.
This was the worst experience as the 2 recommendations they gave me were the worst and brought me through a nightmare. Their lawyer the owner recommended me was her friend and she forgot to include the Surrogate Parentage form in which now I may have to file for adoption for the baby which instead of the baby going to me in Illinois - the most surrogate friendly state. Their lawyer didnt even apologize and wanted more money, $250 for the form. Their lawyer was terrible. Secondly, they recommended me to go through a middle-man that goes through VIOS for IVF. That middle-man lost so much paperwork in-between and did not save me any money whatsoever. They gave terrible recommendations and now Im paying the price. If I ever decide to do a second journey, I plan on finding an independent Obstetrics & Gynecology IVF doctor for as small offices have a couple surrogates for a small fee or no fee at all if I use their office for the IVF.
I had a wonderful experience. Everyone during the whole process was absolutely amazing and so welcoming!
This was my very 1st time being a surrogate and it was an amazing experience. My case manager was there every step she really was very helpful, my intended parents and I was very active in communication it felt like family. This was something I always wanted to do and finally got a chance to make someone dreams come true. I am will be doing it again
So glad to have found an agency to work with that is truly amazing! Megan, Denice and Christi have been so wonderful and helpful with anything that I have needed. They made the entire experience so much better than I could have wished for!
It has been a pleasure working with Jessica and Krista. The whole staff is amazing. they are very professional, prompt and always there if you need to reach them. I have been to other agencies and this one is by far the best!
It has been a wonderful experience working with FSC, we absolutely love it and will try again for our second baby.
Love Family Source Consultants! They are very personable and responsive and were always there to help along the way! Would definitely recommend!
Amazing agency. Im on my second journey and cant imagine another team!!!
