If youre looking for a personal, 1:1 relationship with a doctor/clinic who is organized, leaves the sales pitch at the door, listens to you, responds in a timely manner, remembers who you are, go to a different clinic, dont go to FCI.I went in to see one doctor to talk about saline ultrasound and genetic screening for a specific, X-linked condition that runs in my family. Instead of listening to my concerns, the doctor interrupted me with a how pregnancy happens presentation as well as a sales pitch about IVF, which I was not there for.I steered the conversation back to the reason I was there, asking if the condition that runs in my family was included on the genetic test they provide and he said that it was, so I took the test. ~1-2 weeks after taking the test, I found out through a conversation that it wasnt and that I would need a referral for a single gene screening. It took several weeks for them to respond to my request, and in the end I was given a referral to speak with a genetic counselor instead of a referral to get the single gene test done.I thought this was just an issue with the specific doctor I was seeing so I switched to a different doctor who performed my saline ultrasound and she seemed nice, but when we met a couple of weeks later she had no idea who I was even though she looked me in the eye and was all up in mlady with her scope. That paired with everything I dealt with prior to that is beyond uncomfortable. The saline showed I had to have a procedure done prior to getting pregnant. I decided to do the procedure with my regular gynecologist. I filled out the paperwork right away on both ends. That was in mid-June. The complete paperwork didnt arrive to my gynes office until the end of July, so it took 6 weeks total from my saline just to get the info I needed to actually schedule the procedure. It also took multiple emails, calls, and attempts over a period of 7 weeks just to get the piece of paper with my genetic screening results - that information does not live anywhere in the patient portal.I realize clinics like these have a lot going on, but thats no excuse for leaving messages unanswered for weeks on end when a patient needs to get a time sensitive procedure done, and its extremely stressful to deal with stuff like this after a family member passed away (which I was).Ultimately, in the end, I lost a ton of time while I was working with FCI and didnt get what I needed from them, so Im going somewhere else. This place is a joke.
I have only positive and wonderful things to say about my experience as a patient of FCI River North. Does it take maybe a little bit of patience with dealing with the financial department and financial counselors, yes...but once I did get a hold of my counselor, he was very helpful and informative. The phlebotomy staff is top notch!!! Every single one of you ladies is amazing.Lastly, thank you to everyone who works the front reception area, you have been nothing but accommodating and kind and have made what could be a very stressful and emotional experience, so much easier and pleasant. Thank you ladies!
I had to go back and forth for an hour to update my referral to specifically say for semen analysis instead of a broader fertility category with my doctor. After one of the offices had confirmed that they had received the updated form, I went in for my appointment today (which they refused to make unless the form had been updated in the first place) and was told they did not have the updated paperwork so I have to come back downtown next week and take time off work again due to their limited hours. People in the lobby had been waiting for over an hour beyond their scheduled appointment times and were not allowed in to use the restroom while they were waiting. There was a general sense of chaos and unprofessionalism that I would not expect from a healthcare provider.
I don’t have enough amazing things to say about the outstanding care I received at FCI from Dr. Kaplan and his team (Dani, Caitlin, Lauren, & Rosa). We are so grateful for their responsiveness, compassion, technical expertise, and warmth in helping us grow our family.
I had an overall positive experience freezing my eggs several years ago. I recently reengaged w/ them to create embryos. My partner and I ultimately decided to use the CCRM lab in Colorado for the process and both the doctor I consulted about my prognosis at FCI and the nursing team I communicated with a little less than a month ago assured me that they could support me in the monitoring to use my now embryos. When scheduling a time sensitive appointment (in line w/ the nursing teams instructions), I was abruptly told they could no longer support me as apparently they are now in some feud with CCRM who has expanded into some facilities in the Chicago suburbs. I find this treatment outrageous given the fact Ive spent 10s of thousands of dollars as a former patient. I also frankly dont understand the business decision as my insurance is amazing now I will be going elsewhere for this service. Its unfortunate that for a service so personal and lucrative as this they cant provide better care to their former patients.
This may be long and its taken me a long time to put a review but I think its important. I have never written a bad review ever and its taken 3 years for me to process this.I would highly NOT recommend solely based on their billing department. Im not sure how they allow that department to determine so much in their office but they do.I want to first say, the nurse staff is amazing. I also thought Dr. Hirshfield was great too until she basically tossed us aside because of one person in their billing department. I will forever be greatful to FCI for my 3 year old daughter and their opportunity to be a part of a research study. Now for the negative.... we did the whole process and we got to the point of my husband providing a sperm sample to have frozen in case we needed it for ICSI. We paid to freeze the sperm.. at no point or even in the paperwork did we see that we needed to sign anything to destroy the sperm if we were not going to use it. We ended up not needing it and after our transfer we told the nurses we did not want the sperm. We were told thats fine. Fast forward a year... a bill came for freezing. I called and told them we did not want to pay or keep the sperm. I was told okay .. I might get a new bill but to ignore it. I did. However, we continued to get past due bills and I called several times to inform them we did not want the sperm. Each time I was told okay.. not once told to sign to discard.Fast forward to trying for baby #2. Got the apt with doctor and all good. Then told I needed to contact billing.. so I did. I was told I needed to sign to destroy the sperm.. so my husband did that. Mind you we had been paying 2 years for embryo storage at this point. The sperm was never listed in our portal and my husband was never reqired to set up a portal for this. (Which we were told was a mistake on their end and should have been done. It never appeared along side our embryo storage portal either.)Then we were told we owed $1200. I told them absolutely not. I was then told they didnt have records of my calls previously and I was forwarded to their manager Sue. She is terrible!!! She was mean and rude. She kept saying she knew me and we met but that was a lie. I had 1 email from her. I cried several times on the phone and I kept explaining the situation. Their whole thing was that there was no record of calls... so I went to my phone records and found them all. They still did not care. To say my husband was upset was an understatement. Sue will push and push and say nasty things. She basically told him that we should be greatful they paid for our cycle. He told her he was going to leave a bad review on all platforms. He had also said that what they were doing was BS. They settled with $650 and once we paid they said we couldnt be customers. She said my husband was rude and threatened her. I told her that was a lie... he said he would leave a review. So I told her at that point we really should seperate because it was sad that they would treat customers that way. If she cant handle customers being even the smallest bit upset especially with very sensitive situations then she is in the wrong business. The fact that Dr. Hirshfield went along with her instead of reaching out is also sad. We had zero issues complaints from staff or anything through 2 IVF cycles. Not to mention that both of our nurses that we were really close with left within the 2 years we had been talking with the staff. In all, we ended up transferring our embryos and having such an amazing experience elsewhere. Very sad how they treat patients so just be aware.
I saw Dr. Hirshfeld for egg cryopreservation. They got me in quickly and were very informative up front. However, a few major red flags to be aware of:1) I paid out of pocket for my meds because it made more sense to do so vs. using insurance in my case. It was about $5k. The office kindly gave me some meds they had on hand which saved me probably over $1k, but at the end of the entire process I had about $3.5k of meds leftover and unused. While I understand that they cannot be precise and need to be prepared for all scenarios, and that there are at times adjustments of meds throughout the process as they check you, I do believe I should have been warned about this and perhaps they could have been slightly more approximate as to save me thousands of dollars. When I brought this up to Dr. Hirshfeld, she told me that my company and my insurance doesnt care about womens health and this isnt her problem. While I share the same viewpoint on womens health in general, this was very inappropriate to say to me as its not my battle to single-handedly fight. Had she told me that there were no other options and that shed seen people need the full amount of meds, I would have understood. No such explanation and complete lack of empathy for the money I wasted. I do still plan to donate the meds to the office so someone else can get them for free.2) The anesthesiologist was incredibly inappropriate. I dont remember his name, but as I was wheeled into the procedure room, not yet medicated, he started touching my face and shoving tubes up my nose with no warning. I promptly told him that this is my body and he needs to tell me when he plans to touch me. I dont care if youre a doctor - I was fully awake, nervous for the procedure, and found this to be incredibly intrusive.3) I called to rectify a bill I received in the mail months after my procedure where I learned I had a $650 credit on my account. I wouldnt have been informed of this had I not called. I dont understand how their billing team could have operated in this way. Not good.Overall, the office is clean and nice and the staff is helpful. They can get you in quickly and are very responsive. But I caution anyone going there to please consider what Ive said.
Dr. Hirshfeld and her team are outstanding in the field of IVF, known for her thorough and detailed approach. Her commitment to comprehensive testing and personalized IVF plans ensures every possible avenue is explored. Her willingness to adapt protocols based on individual needs sets her apart. Her unwavering support and encouragement were crucial throughout our journey. Switching to her clinic was a transformative decision, and I am ecstatic with the results. Thanks to Dr. Hirshfeld and her exceptional team, I now have three beautiful children. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking meticulous, compassionate, and effective IVF care.
Im writing this review to share my positive experience at FCI with Venus. From the moment she called my name until I left the clinic, it was a wonderful experience. She brought in positive vibes, took away my anxiety, and offered nothing but encouraging words and energy. I have read many reviews that other patients felt like numbers. Well, today I did not feel like a number thanks to Venus. I felt like my support gaineda member for my journey to motherhood.
I just had my Egg Retrieval at FCI River North and it was a wonderful experience! Everyone was so kind, the nurse explained everything in detail, and they listened to all my questions and concerns. I usually have a bad reaction to anesthesia and they were able to tweak my dose so that I woke up with no issues at all! Dr. Roger’s and her team are simply the best!
Navigating infertility has been extremely difficult, and while we hope for happiness as the outcome from our treatment, sometimes that isn’t the case. Not only has my care team been great during our treatment, but their support during our losses has been just as meaningful. Shout out to my team: Dr. Hobeika & Shannon R, and to Rosa, one of the best sonographers there—she has a wonderful bedside manner, always a delight when she’s my tech.
I have been here for over 2 years. The only reason I havent already left is because I dont want to start all over somewhere else. I would NOT recommend FCI. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Even to make an appointment is difficult. I tried making an appointment online and it took 3 days to get a response, until I called. Felicia said she had a half day and then was off the following day thats why she didnt call me. You are just another number here. If I could start again I would not come here. I also want to mention that unfortunately it seems like the financial department works completely isolated from everyone else because when I tried to make another appointment today, I was told I have a hold and cant make appointments even though I have a financial clearance. When I asked Lisa the person scheduling the appointment if she could still make the appointment since I am cleared, she said no because I might owe $1 dollar and cant make appointments until I pay and the financial department removes any notes. Sad how this place is money driven and you are not seen as a person. This has been very stressful for me. Anyone reading this information can see that my situation is similar to many other patients that have had various issues with FCI. I again would NOT recommend coming here!!!
I went in for an ivf monitoring appointment today, the radiologist was amazing. However, the phlebotomist looked miserable to be there, she didnt say a word and looked like her mission was to cause as much pain as possible with a simple blood draw. My entire arm is hurting and is rapidly turning a dark red. I dont usually visit this location, but this is the worst blood draw I ever experienced.
Stay away from this Fertility Centers of Illinois. FCI made our lives truly miserable from start to finish. We were constantly having to double check the work done by ALL departments, including the medical side of things. Our financial advisor NEVER called back. I left this woman a daily voicemail and she literally never called me back. I finally had to call and ask for literally anyone else to help me. Due to an error on FCIs end, we were owed $1,700 which we had to literally track down and demand the money be sent to us (it took 8 weeks to receive this money). FCI requires up front payment for all services and THEN (if you are lucky) they run your insurance. The overpayment on our end was due to FCI never running our insurance for a cycle and then when WE realized they made this mistake they finally ran the insurance and we met our deductible and had to over pay for the following cycle, which would have been covered if they had ran insurance. FCI will hold your cycle hostage until you prepay and threaten to cancel your cycle due to not paying. The medical side of this business is simply fine. The doctors know you are medically there for a reason and tell you what to do rather than explain the medical reasoning for their choices. The doctor we worked with was personable and nice, but terrible at explaining WHY and when questioned just kind of shrugged and said because. Medical choices that were made for my wife, in hindsight, were risky and could have resulted in serious injury due to simple lack of attention to detail by medical staff. This place is terrible and you should turn and run away if you are considering using them. We switched clinics and are so much happier and wish we had not wasted so much time and money and stress and tears over this place.
Shout out to Sam, a phenomenal phlebotomist who made my appointment seamless and painless! And thank you to the teams at FCI Hinsdale (Karen and Lynn!) and River North for having great staff and being so kind and supportive.
I do not recommend them for anyone who is a survivor of sexual trauma. They started anesthetizing me while I was half naked and it felt like sexual assault. They also position my legs in such a way that it caused injury to my hips. No one checked in with me about how I was feeling. I tried to cover myself up and wanted to say no to the rough way they were treating me but with the sedative drugs it was impossible to resist them. My last memory before losing consciousness was of complete helplessness while lying on the bed in pain half naked. I reached out and told them how they had injured me and broken my trust because I was very clear about being a survivor but they gave me a boilerplate response that made it clear they did not really care about the impact on me. I do not feel safe getting treatment from them and would not recommend them. I keep having flashbacks about how traumatic the procedure was and I would not wish that on anyone. They must have been fairly rough with me while I was unconscious given the increasing amount of pain I have experienced after the procedure. I did not deserve to be assaulted in this way.Update: They called me and insisted that I go over the traumatic details of the experience despite me repeatedly saying it was traumatic and that I did not want to talk about it. Rather than express sympathy for the harm they caused me they seemed more interested in protecting their own liability. Absolutely appalling.Response to FCI: If you are committed to compassionate care why did you ignore me when I said I was a survivor of sexual trauma and that I have Ehlers Danlos? Your lack of such commitment was plainly evident in the harm I experienced, including when the representative called me and insisted that I go over the details of the experience despite me saying it was traumatic and that I did not want to.
Told reception staff person twice I brought a sample to drop off and was told to put only my name on a form for check in. I specifically verified they needed my name only. Turns out if you don’t check a box that you have a sample, the back area staff have no idea that you have a sample to drop off. Check in person did not say I needed to fill out the whole form or check that box, and ignored me when I said I had sample ready for drop off. Waited 15 mins past appt time and asked again and said I have a sample, and I asked if the back room staff knew I just needed to drop off. Reception dismissed me. Finally 40 mins past appt time they went and got the back area staff and they said sorry we didn’t know you had a drop off because the form didn’t say so. The sample is time limited and fertility services are an important and sensitive area. Communication should be handled accordingly, and clients should be listened to
I cannot express my gratitude enough towards FCI. My intended parents and I (surrogate) used FCI for both of the babies and had an amazing experience both times. Both of the transfers stuck the first time! The knowledge everyone in the office had and knew exactly what to change my medications to for the best outcome possible were amazing. I appreciate every staff member on my care team and Dr Rodgers (and the other doctors) for their amazing help to create my surro-babies for their mom and dad. Cant wait to come back!
Would not recommend for any person who is trans or ender nonconforming, has existing health difficulties/chronic pain, or had experienced a history of trauma or sexual violence. FCI staff just does not seem to know how to work with any of that and show reasonable sensitivity, forethought, and care.Staff and physician had a ton of difficulties with misgendering both myself and my nonbinary partner who was getting reproductive endocrinology care at FCI. Treating physician kept forgetting important specifics of my partners reproductive anatomy, and needed to be reminded several times - which was highly concerning. We communicated important information pertinent to my partners care repeatedly during visits and were assured that it would be taken into account. However, it appears to have also been either forgotten entirely or not communicated to key staff members. This led to my partner being forced to re-experience trauma and experience severe physical pain and injury which exacerbated an existing condition. No trauma informed steps were taken to safeguard their well being during the treatment procedure either.Re: making things right (see FCI response below)How exactly do you propose to address a likelihood that my partner may not be able to carry a child as a result of what FCI staff did?!
I have very bad experience with the reception, nurse and financial representative. It’s very difficult for me to reach to anyone of them. Most of the time I was directed to voice mail. In addition, I was assigned a finance person - Jennifer Dawson. I was never able to reach her. 100% of the time the calls went to voice mail and no call back. I was waiting for important document from her for medication but no one cared. I will avoid this center if you want to have a smooth process.
Peggy and Dr. Ahmad really helped me relax and feel comfortable during my IVF process. They were professional and personable. Im so greatful to have had such amazing support. Keep up the good work!
Huge thank you to Nurse Eridel and Dr. Sipe for helping me have my baby! Nurse Eridel was always quick to respond to my questions, empathetic, and helpful. Appointments were so easy to schedule after getting that first appointment and it was easy to get in and out before work started. I missed FCI’s personal touch and efficiency when I graduated to my regular OB office. Overall excellent experience and highly recommend.
The experience at River North FCI was highly disappointing. The nurses showed little concern and were unresponsive to inquiries. I received incorrect bills and a flawed treatment plan, making the situation chaotic and frustrating.
Stay away. Given they cant handle appointment scheduling, blood collections, or uploading results to your patient portal there is no logical reason why you should trust them with any part of your body or fertility journey. My experience with this clinic started out odd as they werent able to set up an appointment until their finance department confirmed my insurance. I was routed to one individual, who was said to be my finance rep. They didnt answer the phone and never called me back. After following up with FCI I was transferred to a different finance rep (this was supposed to be my finance rep). Same experience, no call back.I came into the clinic with my partner (were both females) as she was having some tests done and I figured I could make an appointment in person given the challenges over the phone. They told me I could do all of my blood work right then.I was taken to the back to get my blood drawn. The phlebotomists said they had no order for me and just took blood for the tests they thought Id need. Shortly after having several vials taken and the needle removed, my partner comes in for her blood drawl. When they pull up my partners file they find my blood order nested in there. They then had to put a needle in my other arm to keep taking blood.Fast forward 5.5 weeks, I have a bill for blood tests that I have no results for. I call FCI, and the nurse [Myung Phillips, whom Ive spoken with before about 1 blood test results] tells me that she has no idea why I was transferred to her (despite working on my file in the past). She then tells me that theyve had my results all along they just didnt cross them over into the portal. Her advice was for me to keep a detailed record of every procedure or test I have done and call to remind them to upload them in the portal if I think its been long enough for the test results to come in.
I loved my experience at the River North location. Upon entering Whitley was delightful and helpful. Dr. Brian Kaplan was very knowledgeable and confident about my journey to begin pregnancy.
I would highly recommend this facility if you are interested in egg retrieval. My mother in law was a bit apprehensive about the star rating on Google, but after reading through most of the bad reviews, the things people complained about the most were at the bottom of the list of what I care about when it comes to a clinic and the actual treatment. I also did not have any bad experiences or interactions with any of the staff members on the team contrary to those reviews.I personally rank the doctor/staff expertise as the most important factor, and ranked frequency of how often I spoke with a doctor or expected emotional support from the staff at the bottom. From all the reading I have done and stories I have read about other peoples IVF experiences from all over the US, the level of expected interaction with various staff members during the protocol met my expectations. I did not feel like some number or that the clinic did not care about me as a person. My husband and I felt that the doctors and team did an amazing job with helping us understand the process of IVF, the possible outcome/expectations at the end of treatment, and medication timing and adjustment throughout the cycle.I also felt that everyone at the clinic were very nice and friendly and we did not have any bad interactions with the staff even on busy days when they have a lot of patients to see. The ultrasound techs who you will interact with the most are some of the nicest folks that will tell you what they see during your scan and what your ovaries look like if youre curious. We had our initial consult with Dr. Burks who did a great job explaining the process of IVF and expectations for the procedure. Then a few months later, when we were ready to start our cycle, Dr. Burks was on leave. We were worried about losing the patient doctor relationship we built with Dr. Burks and we had some fears about the different doctors analyzing and adjusting medications for us if it isnt the same doctor all the time, but our head nurse Caitlyn assured us that we would be in good hands with the other doctors reading our results. All the things Dr. Burks told me about the dosage of medication and prediction of eggs retrieved before she left were in line with the treatment plan. The day of egg retrieval also went very smoothly and quickly. The nurse and Dr. Nani introduced themselves and went over some paperwork and medical questions with me and then did the surgical procedure. The nurse checked in on me when I woke up and gave me a post procedure document to keep. Since I felt fine and was eating and drinking, I was given the clear to go home.I was given a sheet of probability of success for the eggs retrieved for every step of the process and instructions for the medication prescribed to prevent OHSS. I did not have any symptoms after retrieval except for some soreness around the pelvic area, and the following day I felt back to normal again.I believe the protocol the clinic created for me did two things that are most important to me. They optimized the number of eggs they felt they could safely retrieve and my health and safety during and after stimulation. If I had to do another cycle, I would definitely continue to use FCI.
I really like Dr Burks. Shes very personable and concerned. So glad she is there. Most staff are fine. Most nurses and ultrasound techs are nice. However sometimes customer service is hit and miss. I had an issue with a rude front desk person over a mask a few weeks ago but I complained to the clinic manager (who was very nice and listened to my concern) Most recently, one of the phlebotomist , Samantha, was extremely rude. They are usually very pleasant but she was not nice. I will be back and hope she is not drawing my blood!
Rosa is the best nurse at FCI, she is outstanding, personable, and kind. She provides the best patient care imaginable!
I went through three full cycles and one canceled cycle with Dr. Uhler and I am currently 8 weeks pregnant. I appreciated her directness and compassion. My home office was Hinsdale. My nurses were outstanding, the front desk staff are the best, the sonographers were always rooting for me and the phlebotomist is literally the best lab stick I’ve ever had! This staff made this very challenging process as easy as possible and they all genuinely care.
I really have to give a special shout out to Ellen. My CRNA. She just went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I was so nervous about the anesthesia bc i hate the way it makes me feel, and had a horrible past experience from a different doctors office for a cosmetic surgery i had. She has such a calming effect on her patients, and I’m sure she has to be a favorite in there. I went easily in and easily out with no issues and i feel great despite the procedure. Dr Hirschfeld (I’m sure i spelled it wrong but I’m close) was professional also. River North seems to have better communication than other locations, but i love my girl at the front desk. Dr Ahmad is my doctor and she is super sweet and i always feel good after talking to her. Thanks again Ellen. You left a lasting impression, and you’ve mastered the art of how to treat your patients. All my best to you in the new year. Thank you.
I froze my eggs via Dr Kaplan a few years ago. I went back to him for an embryo transfer and we just graduated from his care. He was a multi word of mouth referral; he and his staff lived up to their reputation. They are incredibly supportive and compassionate. Special shout out to his nurses that addressed all my concerns in a timely manner with so much heart on the patient portal.
Exceptional support team at FCI River North. The receptionists, nursing team, phlebotomists, ultrasound technicians are wonderful!
The front desk person is extremely rude and unhelpful. At first, she denied me an appointment without checking my profile, when insisted she directed me to the approval department, who were unresponsive. When insisted that I already had the approvals, she asked for my information and went around in circles, ending up not giving me an appointment. She is definitely not a team player as she blames the other members/ departments for inconsistencies instead of helping the patient. I was left in tears by her behavior. Very appaling!
Dr. Sipe did a wonderful job retrieving eggs during my IVF cycle in 2023 and Dr. Uhler successfully implanted our perfect little embryo which resulted in the baby boy that I am holding in my arms today! The nurses for the retrieval and transfer were wonderful as well as the lab and ultrasound techs that I encountered.
Everyone at FCI has been so kind and helpful. Especially Eridel, Sam, Karina and Jen. They always take the best care of me and are so sweet and welcoming. They are the best!
We had a great experience with FCI and Dr. Burks. The office, Dr. Burks, and the nursing staff were efficient, very easy to communicate with, and caring. My husband had a great experience with Dr. Ohlander as well. I’m now pregnant with our first baby via IVF and we will definitely go back for future sibling transfers!
I am overall very happy with my experience at FCI. The communication was phenomenal. My nurses always called me to go over results and they responded on the portal ASAP. Unlike smaller clinics, you see a variety of doctors, however, this allowed for my treatment schedule to be based off timing in alignment with my body’s cycle. I completed 2 IUIs, then 2 egg retrievals to ensure enough embryos for future family planning, and one transfer which ultimately resulted in my son being born this June! Dr. Hirshfeld’s clinical knowledge and expertise was evident in her approach. With her plan and guidance we were able to achieve our goal of a baby with our first transfer attempt. I am so grateful in her role in creating the greatest blessing of my life, my son.
Updated: I stopped coming here in this FCI-River North location coz of 1 of their receptionists named Felicia. It was December 2023 my 8th egg retrieval cycle with FCI. I always schedule my appointments prior of coming to the clinic, besides they will not see you if you dont have orders from your doctors anyway. 3 days before my actual egg retrieval date This was Friday, I talked to Felicia in person to schedule me for Sat & Sun for my monitoring coz you cannot sched appointments on the portal for the weekend. It was disabled for weekend dates in the portal. But Felicia for some reason didnt want to schedule me & said I have to talk to my nurse first. Keep in mind that Ive been with this location & clinic for 4 years & I know what to do when one of your monitoring date drops on weekends. We always talk to the receptionists to ask them to schedule us for the weekend especially monitoring cycle is closer to retrievals.Early Saturday morning, - the sleepy me went to Felicias desk to check-in. When I was approaching her She wasnt happy to see me, asked me if I have a schedule for that day. I said, I talked to the nurse (coz thats what she said the day b4, to talk to my nurse first). Then she said with a scolding tone: The nurses dont do the scheduling, we do! But I will put you in the schedule now!So me being embarrassed in front of other patients & staff the way she scolded me & how she said it, I just said, ok & sat down coz Im too tired to argue, I just need to get my bd, & ultrasound to be done, go home & rest.In the waiting area I was seating closer to the TV I could hear the front desks, I heard Felicia talking to other receptionist gossiping about me & said: shes annoying, she does that all the time! When I heard that shes whispering about me, I have to clarify things to her. So I stood up & waited in line to talk to her again. When I talked to her I smiled & asked for her name. She looked at me first with a firm angry look before she said her name is Felicia. Then I said, Hi Felicia, you remember that I talked to you yesterday to please schedule me for today and Sunday? She said smirking: I talked to a lot of people! Then I said, but I talked to you & I remember you that I asked you to schedule me for today & you told me to talk to the nurse first, but now, youre giving me a hard time that I dont have a schedule? Felicia said in her bossy scolding tone: Well, theres a Lot of ways you can schedule your appointments, in the portal, or call us!!! So I said in a calm voice, theres no way I can schedule weekends in the portal & when I called you guys to schedule you guys are closed for that day, & I said: I always schedule my appointments.Felicia smirked and said: Thats not what I heard!!That comment from her made me so upset coz its Not True! So I said Excuse me?!? Thats not true but ok next time you can tell me those options in a nice way.Her next action shocked everyone! She Stood up and shouted at me saying Youre the one that came up here giving me attitude! GO AWAY! I DONT WANT TO TALK TO YOU ANYMORE! MOVE! GO AWAY! GO AWAY FROM MY DESK!! -The Disrespected, Humiliated, Embarrassed, Bullied Me STOPPED COMING HERE.We started this fertility journey kinda late, when my husband and I were already in our 40s. Fortunately, we found Dr. Rapisarda! He explained to us very well the timeline and expectations of our situations.Dr. John J. Rapisarda helped us produced Great PGT Tested Embryos considering our age and conditions. Even the other fertility doctors was impressed of our embryo results with him. Dr. Rapisarda made the hard tasks easier to achieved. If youre doing IVF, you know what Im talking about and how big deal this is. He gave us means and hope to continued this journey.Dr. Rapisarda is an expert in his field, very compassionate, logical, sincere, and honest. Hes always available whenever we have question.FCI has a good facility, clean wide place, and friendly medical staff. I became friends with them.Youre in good hands with Dr. Rapisarda,.
Samantha in phlebotomy is awesome. She was kind and caring and it always hurt less getting blood drawn from her, she is great at what she does .
I had a good experience at FCI. We switched from a different clinic to FCI and have been very happy with our results. We completed a total of 2 rounds of IVF that has resulted in my current pregnancy. Dr. Hirshfeld-Cytron was willing to get creative to get us the best result possible while being realistic, but not negative, about our chances. I felt that her approach of multiple days in a row of monitoring at some points so she could adjust my protocol was thoughtful. Fertility is all this clinic does so theres no batching of patients (aka put you on birth control to manipulate your cycle). Go into this knowing that your ultrasounds and bloodwork will be with the techs (almost all are very nice), you will never meet your assigned nurse, and your retrieval and transfer will probably be with different doctors just like a hospital cant guarantee your doctor when you go into labor. The clinic is efficient, I never waited too long for an appointment, and I was happy with my doctor. Overall, Im happy with FCI!
I came here for egg freezing, and all I can say is that they do not treat you like human beings. You are only an account number.Getting a hold of anyone other than the front desk is very difficult. I only got to meet my Dr once her name is Dr Jennifer Hirshfeld. I was not given any information on what to expect or side effects to the process. These past two weeks, I started the medication and had terrible back pain told someone if I can get the on call nurse to call to know what pain meds to take since their front desk knows nothing (I work front desk in Healthcare and one of the first things they taught is what pain meds patients can take in case the doctor is busy) and its the weekend. I didnt have anyone get back to me until after my next appointment two days later. This past Thursday, my anxiety was really high cause I dislike running late. I was 10 mins late cause I had to park far, and due to this upcoming procedure, I am not allowed to run. I told them I had asked a stranger to pay my parking cause I had forgotten my wallet, and I was very panicky that I would get a ticket due to the limited amount of time I have. Recently, I got my car tower near tgeir office with no signs saying anything so you can understand my panic. I waited, and it got to the point that i was crying with anxiety, asking the front desk how much longer. I got a call the next day saying I treated not only the front desk rudely but the lady in ultrasound, too. That if i do it again i would not be allowed back. Im sure not everyone is the same, but when I have anxiety, Im in freak out mode, and itd hard to calm down. It takes me a few moments.Yesterday was the day of my retrieval, and I found out that I have a different doctor doing the surgery. When first started this I specifically told them I would like only a female doctor, and my doctor for my surgery was male. I moved forward because I want kids in my future. When I got up from my surgery, I was given a drink and snack. I was told they had to give me more medication to sleep cause I woke up (thankfully, I dont remember), and I was so dizzy. They instructed me to get dressed after not even 20 mins of getting up. With no help in dressing. I ended up throwing up, and they cleaned it up, gave me a wet cloth, and continued to tell me to get dressed. They walked me to the lobby to wait for my father. Not a single nurse checked to see if I was ok. I wish they let me stay lying down until I was picked up. Im hoping to find a different location to move my eggs to that treat you like a human being. I will make sure if I know or hear anyone interested in this process never to come here.
I went to get a fertility awareness test, I would not recommend, they simply want you to come back and use their services. They gove results over a phone, quickly and without any explanation unless you booking a further appointment. I would recommend finding a fertility clinic covered by your insurance so that you can then pursue advice. It has been three months and despite numerous calls to the office I’m still waiting for a copy of my results to be uploaded to my portal.
I have been going to FCI River North for a while and through everything they have ALWAYS been amazing!!! From the desk staff; to the ultrasound techs; phlebotomists; nurses; and my Dr.! DR. BURKS has been a Godsend!! She handled me with the utmost care and looked at me as an individual! She made me feel apart of her team and made sure to give me all the tools I needed to ensure a successful pregnancy beyond the clinic!! Not only is her beside manner amazing, but you can tell she is just as invested into your success as you are!! This is the only place I trust to handle my fertility needs (and I have been other places)!! My experience has been top notch!!
After many long years of fertility treatments, we found success with Dr Hirshfeld and the entire team at FCI River North and are counting down the days until we welcome our child via gestational surrogacy in a few short weeks. It was very challenging at times navigating third party reproduction without an agency, but FCIs team guided us the entire way to explain the process, ensured all procedures met FDA protocol, and provide recommendations for lawyers/pharmacies/etc. They additionally worked seamlessly with our out of state GC and her clinic for all monitoring. We, of course, had disappointment along the way, which Dr Hirshfeld was very empathetic during and took time to walk all parties through all options in hopes of finding what worked. Dr Hirshfeld helped us ultimately find the right combination and we couldnt be more thrilled. Highly recommend FCI for anyone in need of IVF or third party reproduction!!
Very happy with our experience at FCI 😊 everyone is very thoughtful and informative. Venus, Dr. Hirschfeld and Myung have been wonderful to work with!
Absolutely loved my experience at FCI River North. All of the nurses and staff were super friendly and everything felt easy even during an uncertain time. I would highly recommend this team!
So happy I listened to a friend who recommended Dr. Sipe at FCI. Currently 18 weeks pregnant after my FIRST fresh transfer! I love that you are assigned a nurse that is very responsive through the patient portal as the process can be overwhelming and stressful. It’s convenient to be able to schedule at any office for bloodwork and ultrasounds. My only complaint is the hours. It’s hard for someone who works 8-4:30 to schedule appointments. In the end it all works out, but it can be very stressful too schedule frequent time sensitive appointments. But I would definitely recommend Dr. Sipe!
I worked with Dr. Hirshfeld and she was great all the way through the IVF process. She was attentive, answered all of my questions, and I always felt like she was honest and respectful about the success rates and the procedures. I had a successful retrieval and transfer. I would 100% recommend Dr. Hirshfeld and the FCI team!
Thank you nurse Barb in River North! She was so kind and welcoming during my retrevial, appreciate you!
I love this location because they are friendly, and the best thing is that they have people who speak Spanish, Selma took care of me very well and she is very kind, hablan español eso es bueno
I was apprehensive about the “process” and waited a few years. When I finally made the appointment, I had the easiest consult with Dr. Ahmad. She answered all of my questions and reassured me. She was so patient and explained everything thoroughly. Her relaxed demeanor made me feel so comfortable. My initial US was at the river north location and I arrived 30 min early because I had to rush to work right after. They took me in 15 min early! Meg was my Us tech and she was extremely patient and understanding. It took me twice as long and she never once rushed me. The blood work was also done quickly and efficiently. I feel at ease with the center taking care of such a delicate issue.
I will start by saying that I went to FCI to get pregnant, and after three rounds of IUI, I did. However, if you are going to the River North location, just know that you are number. Everyone is fairly nice but they get you in and out. There isn’t a lot of personal service and they aren’t super flexible with appointment times. Due to COVID protocols, we actually never met our doctor in person. It’s a lot of calls and messages through the apps with nurses. I also had a lot of issues with the phlebotomy staff poking me several times before being able to draw blood. Again, most people were nice and I did accomplish my goal, but it’s much more of a business than I anticipated.
Our nurse was extremely friendly and informative. Kris was very helpful.
I absolutely WOULD NOT recommend FCI for assisted reproductive services. All REI centers are financially-driven, but FCI is extremely so. I went to the River North location for oocyte retrieval (multiple rounds) and IVF. I had a very negative experience communicating with clinical and support staff. FCI offers a factory, assembly-line experience. There is a high turnover of nursing and ancillary staff. I almost always experienced long wait times for blood work, ultrasounds, when I asked to speak with nurses, and to see my physician. Forgot about receiving responses to questions in a timely, thorough manner. Additionally, FCI follows standard protocols. Oocyte retrieval/IVF protocols are NOT tailored; that type of customization would take too much clinical time and oversight. Additionally, FCI fees are on the high side and billing is not transparent. If you have billing questions, good luck in identifying the right person to help you and in obtaining the answers you seek.Fertility treatment is a physically, emotionally, and financially draining process. There are far better, more personalized clinics with excellent clinical and support staff that now provide assisted reproductive services in the greater Chicago area. FCI is no longer the only game in town. Im so glad I switched clinics. I know at least half a dozen girlfriends who did so as well. None of us had positive experiences or success at FCI and 2/3 of us had success at our new centers. I only wish I had made the change long ago. Do your research before selecting your clinic. The time is a well-worth investment.
Dr. Kaplans team is amazing at the Kingsbury location! From the front desk, Laura (ultrasound tech), to Samantha/Jennifer (blood draw)!! These ladies really know what they are doing and made it so easy to have to go in daily for follow ups. There is one person that truly must get recognized who isnt listed above- Nurse Ilynee! If it were not for her, I would be completely overwhelmed with this entire process...If you have done your research or gone through IVF it is emotionally and physically tolling. Ilynee truly made the journey smooth and educational. If you are looking for a great team to get you or your loved one through the journey of IVF, please do not look further. You are in amazing hands with these amazing ladies!
To start, they don’t answer their phones so good luck with scheduling or fixing billing issues. When they do answer their phone because someone else from not billing directs you, they are annoyed and act like they cannot help. The billing person (the manager by the way) I spoke to did not call me back after investigating my billing issue like she claimed. She cannot explain why they have dipped into my insurance and are also asking for full patient payment. It has been two months and I’ve requested her to call me 4 times. I’ve also sent an email to the unhelpful reply to this review and have received no response. These billing practices are questionable and there is no prompt response from this company. Double check your insurance claims before paying this company. In fact, avoid this place if you don’t want the additional stress.
Out of all the FCI locations Ive visited, this one was the best overall. HOWEVER, FCI as a whole is very Clinical, which is wild considering all the emotions that an individual goes through when TTC. Youre spending top dollar to be viewed as just another number. Do yourself a favor and find an OBGYN or family doctor who also specializes in infertility.
So I’ve been to all the FCI’s at this point from warrenville, Hindsdale and now River North and I must say I was so HAPPY with my visit. My husband I went in on a Sunday morning which was super convenient for us. The process took about 1 hour and 45 mins till we got called in which is normal and the nurses inform you on that. My IUI was done by YURI and she did my first one at hindsdale and she was super gentle and sweet so I WAS SOO HAPPY when I saw YURI that morning again for IUI #3. She was so personable and sweet and just overall amazing! I love how this location is also near the water which made my experience better since my husband and I walked along the pretty pathway to exit to get out the building. Absolutely Love the staff and the location of this pretty building.
Ok, so I was nervous going to the Chicago location because of the reviews. I attempted to go to a different one, but this one was the only one with availability.I went for a fertility check-up, so maybe my experience was different because of that, but everything was awesome. Everyone was super friendly, from the person who checked me in, to the woman who drew my blood, and the technician who gave me my ultrasound. The place was super busy, but it wasnt chaotic at all. Everyone was just patiently waiting and they have a pretty well set up system to make sure everyone gets to where they need to be.My only disappointment was that they said I would get same day results, but when I called the next day, they clarified that it can take up to 3 business days for fertility awareness check up results. The person I spoke to on the phone was also incredibly helpful and kind.
The phlebotomy staff at the chicago location is extremely unprofessional and inappropriate in front of patients- removing their masks, on their cell phones, ignoring patients and having conversations with each other. Scheduling is near impossible. Multiple instances I’ve just had to show up without an appointment because I can’t get ahold of anyone. And even when you do schedule and an appointment, be prepared to wait 30-45 minutes before being seen. I have nothing but good things to say about my doctor, nurses and ultrasound technicians. The overall care is good, just be prepared for other annoyances.
I cant say enough about Dr. Brian Kaplan and his amazing team at FCI. Dr. Kaplan is a wonderful, extraordinary, knowledgeable, caring, patient, honest and very straightforward doctor. From my very first meeting, we knew we were in the best hands. His team at FCI is unbelievable. They always listened and answered all of my questions. This team was there for me with a hug in my toughest moments and they were there for me on one of the best days of my life when they ALL called to tell me I was pregnant. During the entire process, I felt that Dr. Kaplan and his team were on this journey with me. They were my cheerleaders, my friends, my confidants and the best medical team in the business. If I could give them a million stars, I would!
Dr. Allison Rodgers is my 3rd IVF doctor after 3 miscarriages and 5 years of infertility. I became pregnant on my 1st round of IVF with her. She took the time to make an individualized plan using evidence based research along with thinking outside the box. She truly looked at my past protocols to see what worked and what didnt and spent time on my plan. I felt she really knew my history which meant a lot to me.Her staff was also very responsive and helpful as well.Dr Rodgers also has a great social media blog on Facebook and Instagram where she answers questions and discusses relevant subjects. I love that she connects with her patients in this way.I absolutely recommend Dr. Rodgers to anyone who is trying to conceive via IVF or otherwise.
Throughout my entire fertility journey, my FCI team was behind me. I did not feel like a number and felt like I had the best minds figuring out the right solution for me and my family. The level of care is exemplary and I wish other medical practices were as compassionate and thorough as they were. I had Dr. Uhler as my doctor and she was my biggest cheerleader. They also got me pregnant after years of being unsuccessful. No stone left unturned. I wouldnt trust any other practice for this process.
Fertility treatment and the process overall is overwhelming. But when your doctor is not encouraging and sounds hopeless about your chances of getting pregnant, it makes the process overly unbearable. That was my experience with Dr. Rapisarda. I didn’t show up as a 50 y/o woman. I was in my early 40s. I didn’t want to work with someone who was going to make me give up on my dreams without any effort. So no to FCI for me.
The staff was very dry, you would expect them to be a little bit more friendly considering the environment. The billing coordinator is uninformed and difficult to get a hold of, straight to voicemail she sends you and don’t expect a call back. I found a much better clinic. I’m only giving them 2 stars because I didn’t get a chance to even visit the office because my first few points of contact were awful.
My husband and I have been TTC for three years; I have PCOS and other underlying issues that caused problems with conceiving without some help. We were referred to FCI by my OB and I picked Dr. Rapisarda, who I really love. I know that this location has a few doctors so I cannot speak for others, but I know he is fantastic. My husband and I have been having IUI procedures, on our second try we got pregnant, however due to a chromosome abnormality (completely a fluke), I lost the baby at almost 9 weeks. Dr. Rapisarda and his team of nurses were excellent! I figured we were going to get the push to IVF talk, but he was compassionate and completely on board with what we wanted. He even recommended not just jumping right to IVF as this was always an option if for some reason the IUIs didnt work moving forward. He lets us make the decisions but is a guiding hand to make sure that everything will go smoothly. His nurses are honestly the best team of nurses I have had the privilege of working with; all are very responsive to questions. I will say that the billing for FCI locations, in general, is a bit crazy if you are self pay like we are. Only advice would be to keep your invoices; the balances tend NOT to update for quite some time.
4.5 stars. I contacted FCI as an outpatient for IVF monitoring while working a few days in Chicago. I give 5 stars for the Ultrasonographer who conducted my ultrasound - Jennifer. She was kind and explained to me what she saw on the monitor. She’s an asset to the team. She didn’t rush me or make me feel any less since I’m not one of their patients. Thanks Jennifer!BUT I deduct 1/2 a star because making the appointment was NOT easy - they will not secure an appointment until they receive a faxed copy of your doctor’s order. I’ve been to other fertility clinics and they schedule you in requesting you hand over the order on the day of your appointment. FCI don’t answer their phones over the weekend (even though I was informed by them that they do)so I had to wait until the next business day to schedule my appointment. I was stressed they would not be able to schedule me for the next day. With IVF, stress is what I need to avoid.
I waited a few weeks to get an appointment and the doctor had to cancel last minute. I totally understand - things happen. However, I left 2 voicemails and sent an email attempting to reschedule and have never been able to get a response. When they needed a response from me they called and emailed 4 times in 2 hours. Super disappointing and inconsiderate that the responsiveness is clearly not reciprocal.
Dr. Rapisarda was incredible. We ended up with 3 viable embryos and he got us pregnant with all 3 attempts. He is smart, compassionate and accommodating. When our surrogate requested to have the final embryo shipped to a clinic closer to her, he gave valuable advice, and it was clear that he was more interested in our success than our business. Thats a rarity these days. Our problems were - everything else. But mostly lack of clarity, from the simple to the very important. Pricing wasnt clear. They quoted us the price of IVF, but IVF cost was 1/3 of our grand total. We are a gay couple, and all of the patient forms say Female Patient/Male Partner and we were told they could not be changed. There is a Risk Factor form, where they ask if I am a man who has had sex with men, and because I said yes, my surrogate had to sign a form saying she was accepting known/suspected infectious materials into her body. My blood tests were clear; this was ONLY because Im gay. The room where I gave my sperm samples was oddly placed, not sound proof, the internet channels were mostly not functioning, and there were only materials for straight men. Dr Lanski, the psychologist made our surrogate and egg donor uncomfortable. They felt that, rather than breaking down the harsh realities of the process, she was aiming to put doubt in their heads. The egg donor felt this, and she is also a psychologist. She told our surrogate that if she were not a known surrogate she would have failed because she used depression meds to readjust to work after her son was born. Also, there was miscommunication about how many viable embryos were frozen - a voice mail made it seem like we froze 4, when in reality only 2 were frozen. We had a miscarriage with our second pregnancy and the nurses failed to inform us of the doctors assessment of the ultrasound. Instead, they told us to remain hopeful because the fetus had grown a little and there was slight cardiac activity visible. We were measuring 2 weeks behind, and the heart was not strong enough to listen to at 8 weeks. Dr Rapisarda knew it was over, but thats not what the nurses communicated to us. Then one nurse offered to have a test kit sent for the D&C to see what caused the miscarriage. She failed to send the kit and blamed me for not communicating properly. I became frustrated with her, but did not swear at or insult her. I asked, Did you think that I stopped wanting to know why my baby died? She told me that she would no longer take my verbal abuse, and would no longer work with me - the week our baby died. She then assigned a different nurse to work with us. In all fairness, I believe this horrible nurse is no longer with FCI. But this was how our miscarriage was handled. This wasnt the only time I sensed frustration from the staff.A lot of frustrating things happened, but I would still recommend FCI. Dr Rapisarda knows what hes doing, and when it boils down to it, thats the ONLY thing that matters. We have a beautiful 3 year old girl, and another girl due by Thanksgiving. Our life is forever changed for the better because of FCI. I feel like if I would have known all of the frustrating possibilities going into it, they would have been less frustrating. So, hopefully someone reads this and thinks, Ok, nurses are not always great, forms are poorly made, and pricing will probably be unclear. Got it. Now lets make a baby with one of the best doctors around!
Bad experience ! Staff has attitude and treat you like they are one level above you.I had a test and got a phone call same day in the afternoon. I was told all my results are out of range and that I can schedule an appointment with a doctor. I requested to see the results and received a pdf file. All the results were in range! Then I did another test at another clinic and all the results were in range.I felt like they were seeing money when looking and talking to me, not a human being. If you can, avoid this place!!!
Dr. Hirshfield is amazing! She is very thorough and patient to explain every step of the way. She’s very passionate about Infertility so she’s very up to date and knowledgeable. Now the staff, different story. At times, unprofessional and some what unorganized. If you can deal with that, I would recommend this place.
I have been apart of the FCI family since Feb 2018 and i have had some great experiences and not so great ones but that was with only one person there..Dr Marut has been very helpful and understanding about our journey we were able to get pregnant the first time but sadly ended in a miscarriage due to something being wrong with the baby . we are finally pregnant from a natural FET cycle after transfer #4 .i can say that all the ultrasound techs, the ladies who take the blood to the front desk staff as well as the nurses have been great. And Frank was always a big help and pleasant to work withI would definitely recommend using DR Marut and FCI
I was very impressed with this fertility center. All the stuff was very kind and professional. Excellent physicians and anesthesia providers! Definitely recommend this fertility clinic!
I did a phone consultation with FCI, to better understand how they operate, and decided to go with another clinic. After thanking FCI for their time, and informing them that I would be working with a different clinic, they sent me a bill for outpatient visit!Poorly managed, slow to get back to you, disorganized - and from the initial connections, they come off as dishonest
We were a lesbian couple looking to conceive - Dr. Hirshfeld and her nurses helped us achieve this. Dr. Hirshfeld was great in she didnt throw us straight into IVF, but had a few methods she tried first and we were able to conceive after 5 tries using IUI. We now have a happy and healthy little girl. Any issues I had, the staff at FCI helped me with and they were always understanding.
Please if you are able to use any other company use them. FCI will make the fertility process a nightmare. They are impossible to get ahold of. They have screwed up billing and insurance multiple times. They leave you in the dark about critical information. Having a baby should be a joyful time not stressful. Absolutely hate working with them.
The worst office Dr I ever met. Dr. Brian Kaplan its so good first time you meeting him. then when you start your procedure you are not going to see him again. I have 4 times IVF Nothing success even he says that try again. again. because I like$$.He just saying that because he making Money. hmmm he No deserve even 1 star. nooo way. The nurses they are so bad about everything even if they are trying too be good they are so mean and when you do ultrasound they are doing experiments to your body🐒🐒🐵Allthis place cares about is getting your money not helping with the most important experience in a couple’s life.🦁🐶
Go anywhere but here! Staff have no customer service skills, terrible communication, and disrespectful! Left almost every appointment in tears because of their lack of communication and lack of answers. Withdrew my care and took me threatening to sue for my medical records for them to release them.
FCI is like the Sams club of fertility centers. Not personable at all, and they are all about the money. I transferred my remaining vial to another facility, and months down the road im getting a storage bill, with an underlying issue that i never signed a consent form or paid the TWO HUNDRED DOLLAR TRANSFER FEE, and thus they cant release my sample. My sample is no longer with them...so howd that happen if i didnt sign anything? They are just hungry for money. Im so glad i switched facilities to some place that actually remembers my name when I come in.
Dr. Hirshfeld and Lindsey V., RN are wonderful! Dr. Hirshfeld is an expert in the fertility field and kind. The nurse, Lindsey is thorough and sweet. I highly recommend this team.
You would think the amount of $$$ you put out the staff would be a little more polite
This particular location is full of incompetent nurses and staff - our doctor ordered blood work and suggested that this location would be able to draw the blood and send it for testing - after confirming the appointment over the phone for this specific test, they made me wait 1 1/2 hours and finally after asking the front desk to check why it is taking this long - they sent a nurse out to say that they don’t do this particular testing at this location!!!The office manager is another piece of work - she claims to be running a medical office and yet has no information for this particular test - she went on to claim that since the Dr. who ordered the test does not work at this location - she is not responsible for mix up - even though they are part of the same practice.Lesson learnt - AVOID the River North location!!!
AMAZING experience with Dr. Burks. I felt guided through the process with the best consultation from the doctor and designated nurse. They guided me while letting me make the decisions for myself. Truly was an incredible experience. Thank you Thank you Thank you!
They completely deceived me at what my insurance covers because they sent the wrong code to the insurance company. They wouldn’t let me talk to billing and the nurses didn’t even care that I wouldn’t come back if they didn’t handle it. All this place cares about is getting your money not helping with the most important experience in a couple’s life.😡
This is by far the worst medical experience I have in my whole life. The staff is extremely unprofessional, especially the ones at the front desk. They are rude, unrespectful, and arrogant. I totally dont understand why they treat patients like this. Dont waste your time here.
Youre just a number at this place. The nurses and doctors dont keep specifics about your case in mind when suggesting treatments. Instead of giving me realistic feedback about test results, they kept telling me to be positive that the next protocol would be successful. It didnt work.
We had a terrible experience with organization that involved negligence, followed by an extremely long and difficult customer service experience. There is no empathy among their office or medical staff, but worse, there is a lack of competence. Please go elsewhere if you can.
2 days in a row with appointments and had the worse experience ever....over an hr wait on getting checked in the first day. Now the 2nd day over an hr and 20 mins of waiting and still no one has called my name...went to the front desk to see what is going on... have to wait another 45 to even get in....This is hands down horrible service...not organized at all from office part. I was never checked in. You need to get your place together....the girls that did the work inside were nice...but you should not be setting up appointments if you can not complete them....you need more staff on the weekends...
Rude receptionists and terrible doctors. It felt like we were just a number at this place, it seems like they only care about getting you in for as many cycles as possible and dont care whether you have success or not. And their prices are MUCH higher than other clinics who have better doctors.
RUN ! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Not thorough, no personalization, no care. Just a factory. Useless and Horrifyingly Incompetent. Did not know how terrible they were until I experienced better
Team is amazing and I have a healthy baby boy. Forever grateful.
An experience that should’ve been so beautiful turned into a nightmare. Please do your research ladies. Billing department need to be under investigation.
Got in and out quickly. Friendly staff.
Had several issues, but then received a call from the Manager and everything was able to be resolved. She understood my previous frustrations and was able to make all the previous wrongs right.
Successful pregnancy first transfer! Not all fertility clinics are as successful and with medication and protocol, it matters!
Very happy with FCI and Dr Sipe and his team. Great experience.
I am very happy with the care that was provided to us during our fertility journey.
Felicia made me smile today
This place helped my wife and I get our miracle baby girl! She is almost 3 now. Thank you.
They only work with women.
