Everyone wants to find a clinic that they can trust with their beautiful embryo babies. THIS IS THE PLACEMy experience with IHR was great. My first transfer resulted in a beautiful baby boy . Dr Cohen was straight to the point in letting us know what our options were. After our consultation we were directed to register on the portal. This tool was so helpful keeping track of all our correspondence between ourselves and the medical staff along with our IVF cycles. The team was very responsive and matters were resolved quickly and efficiently. Both my egg retrieval and polypectomy surgeries went smoothly. My only issue was the front desk staff, one was always so snarky and would deliberately allow other patients before me which was frustrating. She did it multiple times and it started to make me feel a bit inferior as if I didn’t belong. I would be waiting 30-45 mins to get my blood drawn and someone who seems affluential walks right pass and get theirs done. It was in and out for them . Literally my only issue and that’s an EASY fix. Outside of that the nurses were professional, the team at the surgical center were always on the ball and doctor cohen was fantastic . Definitely recommend
Have had such a fabulous experience at IHR. I am not pregnant yet, but hope to be shortly. From the first appointment and setting everything up, it has been smooth and wonderful. Alma at the front desk is THE best, and always makes my anxious heart feel better. Every nurse, PA, phlebotomist, and ultrasound tech have been so understanding and kind. The billing department has been easy to work with and really work with you to deal with insurance. Dr. Tur-Kaspa has been great- he is funny and honest, and willing to work with the patient. The surgical center they use at 900 N Michigan was also great. I have been beyond happy with my experience at IHR and have recommended to friends! I feel so lucky to have had such a positive experience here (especially after such a negative experience at a prior fertility clinic).
I went to Dr. Cohen. Very nice, and a great listener. He knows his stuff! I had low AMH and he was honest about how many embryos he thought we would be able to achieve. We ended up with one beautiful embryo. We only had one chance, only did one round. And we had a successful transfer! I have a beautiful baby girl now. I thank God and Dr. Cohen for this miracle. It is so worth it. They give you all your training and instructions through a portal. That part was not very user friendly for myself. I managed, but would prefer a face to face contact. I called a lot and spoke to the nurses when things were confusing for me, and they helped. If I had to do it again, I would go to IHR.
Me and my husband tried to conceive for 4 years I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility and my husband after a vasectomy reversal had a decent count but still hard to conceive naturally because of it not returning fully. After two failed IUIs at another clinic we jumped right into IVF. Best decision ever! The staff at IHR are so professional and I loved using the portal for any concerns I had, they always got back to me quick within a hour or so. We had a successful IVF with many embryos obtained however the first transfer ended in a chemical but after Dr. Cohen made some changes to my medication plan we are excited to announce we are expecting our miracle baby in January🥺❤️Dr. Cohen is by far the best fertility doctor I’ve been to and I would recommend him a 1000 times over to anybody struggling to conceive.
I want to thank IHR especially Dr. Wood-molo for making my dream come true! I have been trying to get pregnant for years and all the fertility doctor I seen told me IVF was my only option and let me know it is an expensive procedure. It is also not guaranteed. When I heard that, I felt discouraged. I didn’t give up though and I’m glad I went to IHR. When I first seen Dr. Wood-molo, I told her that I feel broken and I just want to give my mom some grandkids. She reassured me that I am not broken and I just needed a little push so I can get pregnant. She gave me hope and she told me I will give my mom some beautiful grandkids soon. One day I seen on IHR Facebook feed that they have an IVF contest going on and I signed up for the contest. On December of 2022, I got a phone call from Dr. Cohen, congratulating me that I had won the IVF contest. At that moment, I knew God heard my prayers and seen my struggles and gave me a chance to go through the IVF process. During the egg retrieval and during the egg transferred, all the staff at IHR and at the surgical center was really nice and they have so much patience with me. They made my process go really smooth. There were some challenges along the way but Dr. Wood molo still reassured me I will have my baby soon. On the day of my egg transferred, Dr. Wood-molo came to me and told me I am going to give my mom some grandkids real soon. She gave me a hug and told me congratulations after the transfer. A week and a half later, I went back to take a pregnancy test and the nurse told me congratulations I am pregnant! I was so happy because not only did my first egg transferred went really well, they made my dream come true as well. I am 23 weeks pregnant right now. My due date is October 31. Because of IHR and Dr. Wood-molo, I am able to be a mom soon!! Thank you Dr.Wood-molo!!!!!!!!
In my experienced with Fertility clinics, IHR has the Best Patient Concierge ever!!They were very helpful, friendly warm, and organized. Linda A. always make sure she accommodates everyone! Its easy to communicate and schedule my appointments with them.Dr. Cohen was assertive, confident, and positive thinker, that gave us another level of hope! The doctors here are very good, and has a high success rate! The medical staff were all professional and friendly. The financial staff are reachable and easy to talk to. Ive been with IHR for a year now and all my experiences with them was pleasant. This Lakeshore location in Chicago is in a nice area, bigger, stylish, and clean facility.
Highly recommend IHR and Dr Wood Molo! I felt so cared for over the last two years as I navigated through my fertility journey. The whole staff was attentive and supportive. I always got immediate answers to any questions/concerns I had. Dr Wood Molo always gave me her full time and attention and a full explanation of what was coming next. Happy to share that I just welcomed a baby girl!
I had a very disappointing experience at this clinic. Honestly, I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. It feels like all they care about is making money. You dont feel like a person there, just a number. The nursing staff hardly explains anything; they just put instructions on your patient portal and expect you to figure it out.And to top it off, they start billing you before you even get your diagnostic results! You hardly see the doctors, and they dont give you much notice when it comes to ordering medications. But the worst part was when they removed an order for genetic testing of my embryo without even consulting me properly. They went ahead and scheduled me for an embryo transfer, despite knowing I was at high risk for genetic abnormalities. When I questioned them, they just said it was because my husband and I seemed unsure about the testing during our consultation several months prior. Its like they dont even communicate with each other or me as the patient.Overall, if youre looking for a clinic that actually cares about you and your needs, Id steer clear of this one.
We have a healthy baby girl thanks to Dr. Tur Kaspa and his team at IHR - We are in the process of going back for baby #2!We had many failed attempts at other top fertility clinics around the country. By following Dr. Tur Kaspa’s protocols closely we had a successful egg retrieval and FET on the first try.
I had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Levrant and the amazing staff at IHR for a little over a year. All of the doctors and nurses at both the Tinley Park facility and downtown facility are very knowledgeable, understanding, patient and kind. The entire process was overwhelming for my husband and I but whenever I had a question I was able to reach out to my clinical team through both text message and the portal and I was always provided an answer and peace of mind. It was a very bumpy ride but we are so glad we had IHR on our side.
Im writing this review as Im feeding my precious baby. IHR team is amazing. Theyre so organized and ensure that your morning visits are as quick and efficient as possible. Dr. Cohen is amazing! What I like about him is that he ensures that all your concerns are addressed and he never sugarcoats anything. He provides you with the medical facts with care. I was so happy with our experience and am so grateful for doctor Cohen and IHR team that gave us our precious baby.
I am so happy we decided to come to IHR for our fertility treatment. Dr. Cohen and his team were amazing! Any questions or concerns we had were addressed right away, either via the portal or phone call. I appreciate how honest Dr. Cohen was about treatment and how comfortable he made us feel. I am currently 17 weeks pregnant with our baby boy and cannot thank IHR enough.
This is so overdue as I am currently 31 weeks pregnant with a boy (hes kicking me as I write this!) which means Dr. Cohen and his team have been a success. IHR is just amazing. Not only do they get results, but their staff genuinely cares and is so supportive.I see complaints of how busy they are and wait times and that is because they are one of the best in Chicagoland area, and they take time to talk with you if you have extra questions or concerns. You do need to speak up and ask questions or bring your concerns to them - they are not mind readers. But I will say, I am a research nerd who loves to talk data and review ALL the options. Once they knew this about me, they all adjusted how they talked with me. They knew I like all the info - good or bad.Dr. Cohen was amazing - my OBs and ultrasound techs since him always say my little guy is really up in there - haha! Dr. Cohen is so knowledgeable and skilled at transfers (very important in success rates). He also gets to the point with honest information and makes sure that you really understand the next steps and suggestions. He never pressures but also will give you both professional and personal opinions so you can really weigh your options. He just feels like your friends dad who you always liked. Comforting and smart and never talks down to you.His nurse Sarah B took so much time out of her schedule to make sure I had everything I needed to make an informed decision. Multiple times she called me after they closed - I know she works so hard and cares a lot. There were a few times we went against their recommendations after careful consideration and they NEVER pushed me and always were supportive.Trisha (ultrasound tech) and Keya (phlebotomist) were not only professional and knowledgeable - but they kept me sane! When you have to go for tons of monitoring and getting poked by these people, its so important to have people who can also talk to you about daily life and make it seem normal. Trisha went above and beyond to also provide even more insight into what we were seeing on ultrasounds. There are many others who were amazing. The embryologist team gave me extra insight when I sent questions over the portal - we even know which one was our little guy!I did have one issue with someone - they took it VERY seriously and made sure to address it. They also never booked me with that person and even thanked me for sharing. When I had the exact same procedure again, they treated me very carefully and did their best to make sure I felt secure and good. They didnt brush it off. If you have an issue - speak up and give them the chance to correct it.Overall, my experience was great. The joy when we became pregnant was genuine! You would think they would get used to it - but no - they were genuinely so happy for us and its bittersweet when you graduate. I will be bringing out little dude in when he is here. I cant wait for them to all meet him and for him to have a picture with the amazing team that brought him into this world!I also see comments sometimes about schedules and feeling rushed - infertility treatment is kind of just like that no matter where you go. Its based on your body and cycle, you have a couple days to cry about another failure before you have to make decisions about moving forward. Medications can change too based on u/s - its just the way it is. Just be ready for the roller coaster. My overall story: 1.5 years with IHR after PCOS diagnoses and 6 months TTC at 37 yo., lots of testing, 2 hysteroscopies, 1 polyp removal, 1 cancelled IUI with 4 failed IUIs after (They left it to us to start with IUI or IVF since we were good candidates for both. We chose IUI first. They also wanted us to move on after 3 failed but we insisted on 1 more.), 1 round of stims, 1 egg retrieval (with excellent results), no genetic testing, 1 failed embryo transfer, 1 successful transfer and minimal complications in pregnancy.
From the first meeting with Dr. Tur-Kaspa we knew we were in right place and in the right hand. The support staff, other doctors, nurses and nurse practitioners and everyone at IHR are very knowledgeable and were very helpful. At IHR the staff really looks after you and makes you feel like you are family. We had lot of questions and we would reach out through patient portals as well as phone call we always got a quick response. Dr. Tur-Kaspa came up with a plan for us and After going through IVF cycle and following the plan he laid out for us, we had a success after long 12 year journey and were blessed with a baby girl. My wife and I highly recommend IHR and Dr. Tur-Kaspa. For us Dr. Tur-Kaspa is a God send and I dont have enough words to describe how I am feeling when writing this review but thank you all at IHR for helping us through this journey....
I want to thank IHR for everything you have done for our family. Dr.Hammer and the whole team has been incredible, they have wonderful bedside manner and always made sure I was doing well. I am currently pregnant with our baby boy, thank you for being there every step of the way.
Felt like a number, not a person, at this place. I never saw the doctor outside of my consultation e-visit. Team never seemed to read my records. And worst of all, during an IUI appointment, the PA told me that this likely isnt going to work. Not really sure why a PA would tell a patient that when they are literally in stirrups, ready for a procedure. If it works, great! If not, then lets re-evaluate after I get my period. But dont get my hopes down during the procedure. Anyone who does fertility knows that staying positive is SO important. And they just deflated my hopes. Luckily, the negative PA was wrong, and I did get pregnant. I was going to go to a different infertility clinic if I wasnt pregnant (Ive heard amazing things about Dr. Davies in Glenview), but luckily I was pregnant and NEVER have to go here again.
Absolutely terrible. They expect you to understand the process. They dont explain or discuss anything in detail. They send the incorrect documents to the portal and when you sign them, they act like you shouldve known better. My wife has lost work time, pay, and so have I only to find out were missing something they didnt give us in the first place. And they wont accept fault. Ive dealt with doctors monthly for over a decade and all of these are the signs of incompetence that cost the patients in the end.
I did two medicated IUIs at IHR with Dr.Cohen and had a polypectomy. My second IUI was successful! Dr. Cohen and his team were professional, energetic, and responsive. The portal was easy to use and I always received responses back quickly. I’d strongly recommend their team to anyone struggling with fertility issues.
We came to know about IHR through online research. We recently moved to Chicago and were planning a family from a very long time. I had already gone through a lot of treatments before moving here. Ours have been a really long and painful journey. IVF was our last hope. So we decided to take a consultation at IHR after little research and reading the reviews about IHR. We were hopeful but also conscious when our first consultation was scheduled. At our first telemedicine consultation with Dr. Ilan Turkaspa, it was very simple and realistic.he explained us the different options and chances of success depending on our history. Also he then explained the whole process of IVF and best part is he told us just not to worry. Everything going to work out and we are going to be parents soon. That was so assuring and exactly what we needed to hear. He was really calming all throughout our journey. He explained things where ever necessary and answered all our questions and doubts. Me being a worrier he always told me to just trust the process and you are going to be fine. He also made sure that everything goes smoothly and did above and beyond to make sure it’s a success. There were few hiccups in between but he always gave us the reassurance. He was always so positive and smiling that we couldn’t help but put our faith in god and him. Coming to the best part ..finally after a few ups and downs (mainly on personal front) and gods grace we finally made it to the other side of tunnel and today we have a handsome 1 month old boy. He is perfect little peanut and healthy. We can’t thank DR. ILLAN TURKASPA and DR. COHEN enough for this miracle and hope. All the staff and nurses are amazing too and really helpful. The communication is good and organized. Special mention to nurse SARAH for being so supportive and caring. It was all worth the pain and effort. I have already recommended it to some of people I know are going through the same and I am planning to go back to IHR for my 2nd baby soon.
Just had my first consultation and it was the worst experience of my life I’m 4’11” 218 with PCOS. I have gone into two premature labors due to insufficient cervix. Past my first trimesters. Both babies were perfectly healthy with no abnormalities. I was told my the doctors to stop eating all sugar and carbs completely. Advising him that my ovulation isn’t normal. I have to force myself to remember to eat anything. That we don’t have sex at the right times and because I have transabdominal cerclage that ivf is the only healthy option for my age and condition. Told by my MFM doctor who put it in. I have only shamed once before and I left that doctor immediately. If I could give them no stars I would.
My husband and I first sought out help for fertility issues in February of 2023, after about 9 months of trying naturally with no success. At the time, I was 30 and my husband was 34. We are both pretty healthy and fit, and all of our fertility testing/findings (progesterone/androgen/thyroid labs, OPKs, antral follicle count, sperm analysis) were normal. I was confirming ovulation every month and had a pretty normal cycle, so I was discouraged that it had not yet happened for us.My OBGYN recommended IHR and I was more than ready to get some expert help. We worked with Dr. Karissa Hammer and I cannot recommend her enough. Throughout our entire journey, I really felt empowered to do what I felt was right at the time for us. She never rushed us or pushed us to jump straight to IVF, which I really appreciated. She gave us so much agency during such a difficult time. It was incredibly empowering to know that she supported us no matter what path we chose to take, and consistently told us This is your journey, and the way you choose to start a family is completely personal and up to you. When we were ready to do IVF, we jumped right in and she had a great strategy for us. She was easy to make appointments with during the whole process to keep us informed and make sure we were always on the same page. The results for blood work and ultrasounds always came back the same day. My surgeries for my two egg retrievals were quick and uneventful, and I had very little pain afterwards.Another thing I loved about IHR was their availability. I didnt have to wait months to get in for testing or to start any cycles. They really worked hard to make sure you got to where you want to be (pregnant!) as soon as possible. When you feel like youve already waited longer than you wanted to to start growing your family, this is a huge bonus.I also appreciated that I had a nurse assigned to me during my IUI and IVF cycle, whom I could send a text to with any questions. There were a couple times where I was confused about some information on my calendar, but it was cleared up quickly with a call to the on-call nurse. I was met with a little attitude one time when I called about an injection question after normal business hours, but overall I cant complain.Lastly, Dr. Hammer was on maternity leave early on in our journey and I had a couple meetings with Dr. Wood-Molo in her absence to talk about my options. My first meeting with Dr. Wood-Molo was wonderful and she had lots of suggestions and made me feel really positive about the prospect of getting pregnant naturally. After a few months of the regimen she recommended not being successful, I had another call with her that was not so positive. Though no new testing had been done, for some reason she made the determination that if she were me shed probably just do IVF. At this point, we hadnt even done IUI, and I was disappointed by her casual suggestion of such an intense process. I left the call incredibly discouraged; she didnt give us any reason as to why this should be our approach and it left me with more questions than answers. In the end, I waited until Dr. Hammer was back from maternity leave to continue our journey. I found her much more supportive and informative and overall appreciated her bedside manner.I found the rest of the staff at IHR to be great as well. When youre going in multiple times a week, you get close to the phlebotomists and ultrasound techs. One thing I will say for the techs is that sometimes they would say things during my ultrasound , only to have Dr. Hammer review the results and tell me something different (and positive!). I am sure its tempting not to say anything or analyze what theyre seeing, but it would be best if they left it up to the doctors to relay any resultsFinally, I am incredibly thankful to be writing this at 13 weeks pregnant— our first frozen embryo transfer was successful. I am hopeful that everything will continue to turn out as we hope, but as far as a fertility clinic is concerned, they very much did their part :).
I have nothing but great things to say about IHR. Dr. Hammer was supportive and gave excellent care and guidance throughout the process. Dr. Cohen performed my retrieval and was great as well. Everyone was incredibly communicative and answered all of my questions with same day responses. I was very anxious about getting a decent number of eggs and even though my follicle count looked average we ended up retrieving 48 mature eggs and could not be happier. I highly recommend IHR and Dr. Hammer, well worth the investment.
Do not recommend this place at all. Long story short: it’s a profit center that doesn’t care about women’s health. I had a 5 cm cyst on my ovary and when the nurse called me to review my injections to start them she told me and literally said nothing about the size, placement, or potential risk. I (non-medical professional) had to ask all of the questions about it and then the medical team tried to push me into the egg freezing medicines saying they would take care of the cyst on Monday morning while over the weekend I was supposed to start an estrogen pill literally that night. The nurse called me at 3:38 pm and wanted me to pick up the medication and start it the same night on a Friday. When I had a follow up call about the estrogen meds and the larger cyst I have the nurse then admitted to it potentially having a negative affect on my health, which they were willing to risk. I’m a 27 y/o female and have the privilege of time with my egg freezing journey. Each time the clinic would call me it would be rushed and with no regard for my time (ex: an admin called me at 5 pm saying I needed to fill out documents by 8 am the next morning & I never spent more than 15 mins on a call with any doctor or nurse when talking about my potential surgery). Overall, this clinic completely rushed me into their schedule, had zero regard for my cyst (which the doctor told me they had knowledge of in my initial ultrasound but never told me), didn’t care of my mental or physical health, and then continued to try to push me into continuing the egg freezing journey after I told the nurse on the phone I felt unsafe with them. It is a profit center. If you wait in the waiting room at times there have been 20+ women packed into the waiting room with not even enough chairs and my appointments have been up to an hour late each time. Very disappointing as this is a very vulnerable process for women.
What Dr. Tur-Kaspa has done for us is nothing short of a miracle. With and AMH of 0.2ng/mL at age 35 we had little to no hope to ever become parents. Most Dr’s wouldn’t even see us or let us try. Their practices wouldn’t take us, for fear of their own statistics being affected, and were encouraged to seek donor eggs. This news was both heartbreaking and surreal.Dr. Tur-Kaspa patiently explained us the process, patiently answered all of our questions and set realistic expectations. But most importantly he gave us a chance. Dr. Tur-Kaspa is well known as one of the best Dr’s in the field and it shows. His compassionate, caring and loving demeanor gave us strength to move forward. He was with us every step of the way, and there are not enough words to express our deep appreciation and gratitude we feel for him and his entire team. Our first retrieval resulted in one oocyte that sadly did not fertilize. He changed the protocol and our second retrieval resulted in 2 oocytes, one that did not fertilize and one that did, but did not make it past day 3. We were heart broken. The nurse in me seriously started to consider the prospect using an egg donor, reality is that my number were really low to begin with, and to add to the problem I was now a poor responder.Dr. Tur-Kaspa believed in me and I believed in his knowledge and extensive experience. We decided to give it another try, each time with a new medicine protocol. This time our retrieval resulted in 5 oocytes! 3 of which fertilized and made is to day 5. Two weeks later the PGD test results came back and the were ALL healthy! We could believe it! He literally made the impossible happen. Now with the remarkable chance we could have 2 children, we went for retrieval #4, which also resulted in 5 oocytes retrieved! This time 3 fertilized and 2 made it to day 5. The PGD test results informed us that both of our embryos were healthy, so we now have 5 beautiful, high quality embryos! We can’t contain our happiness, joy and gratitude for Dr. Tur-Kaspa and his team. They were accommodating to my work schedule for monitoring, the plans were easy to follow, and our questions were always answered in a timely fashion through the portal. I sincerely don’t know if I had the strength to go through it all if it wasn’t for Dr. Tur-Kaspa and his team. We are forever grateful to them.Dr. Tur-Kaspa, words cannot express our gratitude! Your life-giving work made our miracle happen well beyond our set goals at the beginning of this journey. Thank you for your continuous support, love and care you have given us. None of this would be possible if it wasn’t for you! We look forward to the next steps in our journey & for the day we will introduce our babies to you!
Dealing with infertility is never easy but the entire team at IHR has made each step of this process more calming and healing for my husband and I. From the front desk to techs to nurses to Dr. Cohen and his team, we have never felt more comfortable and at ease with this journey. You truly do not feel like a number going through a revolving door at IHR, rather, you become so close with the staff that you begin to feel like family. We cannot thank the entire team enough for helping us navigate through this journey and for being so supportive and responsive when needed. Thank you for everything and we cannot wait to bring a little one into this world sooner than later.
After seven years of struggling with infertility, I am thrilled to be writing this review as my infant son sleeps on my chest. My husband and I had an excellent experience at IHR. Their nurses and ultrasound techs were absolutely amazing. They were compassionate and very communicative throughout the entire process. We went through one round of IVF and are now blessed with a beautiful baby boy. I cannot express how grateful I am to Dr Mary Wood Molo. She was referred to us by my rheumatologist. From the start my husband and I knew we could trust her. Dr Wood Molo has amazing bedside manner and she truly cares about her patients and it shows. She always took the time to speak with us and explain everything. We never felt rushed. I’m so grateful we found her. If you’re looking for help in building your family I would highly recommend the staff at IHR and Dr Mary Wood Molo.
Happy to be writing this as I hold my 3 week old son. I had a very lovely experience with IHR. Was able to conceive via IVF after one egg retrieval, a polyp removal, and one embryo transfer. The process took about 4 months, start to finish, before I graduated and was transferred to my OB. The nurses were really great and I was always impressed by their timely responses to all my messages and inquires. Test results were fast. Was pleased with my procedure experiences. My only negative with the clinic is that I was disappointed with the lack of education given throughout the IVF process and lack of opportunities to meet with the doctor about concerns I had. Although you are provided videos on how to administer injections, I would have preferred an in-person class to practice and have my questions answered. I also would have liked more education on medication side effects, as I experienced some adverse reactions and I was not briefed prior to taking the meds. I did voice this concern with Dr Cohen on my last meeting with him and he reported they used to provide in person classes prior to Covid but that they stopped due to Covid. Really hoping they bring this back as I think it would benefit many. Important to always advocate for yourself.Overall, I am very thankful to this clinic and everyone involved who helped us achieve our dream of becoming parents. Would absolutely recommend and will be using again if we decide to expand our family.
My husband and I started with Dr Cohen at IHR in July 2021. We decided to go straight to IVF. The IVF process can be very overwhelming, especially the first time when everything is new, but the nursing team at IHR always did a good job of clearly laying out medication and appointment schedule to help relieve some of the anxiety.I ended up doing several rounds of IVF for embryo banking (thankful for insurance coverage to allow this) and I am very glad I did this because I did require more than one transfer to find success. During the process I really appreciate Dr Cohens candor on the success rates and what he would recommend as far as next steps.I sit here with my almost one week old healthy baby boy typing up this review and am so thankful for Dr Cohen and the IHR team’s help to get me to this point. Infertility treatments can be incredibly taxing, but I was lucky to always receive good care at IHR which helped significantly in the process.
Though my time here was short; I was very happy with the service that I received. Dr. Tur-Kaspa really is the best and has such a jovial, approachable, knowledgeable nature about him. - I felt like I was being tended to by the best. I wish I could retain him right until our baby arrives. His office was excellent as well. I am detail oriented, I ask a lot of questions and they were always responsive and patient with me. I also love technology and cant say that every healthcare portal has been my friend. I liked the interface on theirs; from online visits to billing - I was very comfortable and felt like I always had all the information I needed.
I had a great experience with IHR and Dr. Mary Wood Molos team. Their financial aid department was exemplary and helped us understand the process. Further, the frequent visits while undergoing IVF were quick and worked with my work schedule (I want to say they start taking patients at by 6am if not earlier). I never felt pressured into IVF, which I think speaks to the clinics integrity, although we did decide that was the best option for our situation. I would highly recommend this clinic to any friend!
I had a very positive experience with the entire IHR team. Dr. Tur Kaspa and Dr. Cohen are awesome. I recently went through IVF as a single woman using donor sperm. I learned so much and felt the entire process from beginning to end was very easy. There are lots of youtube videos and IHR also provides instructional/educational videos for how to administer the medications. For me, IVF was not a stressful experience because I knew I was taking steps to achieve something very important to me. I opted to do PGT-A testing so that I knew exactly what my numbers were for family planning purposes. (3 normal embryos per live birth). Dr. Tur-Kaspa and I discussed my family goals and we were able to come up with a plan. Monitoring appointments (blood work and ultrasound) are in the morning and never interrupted my work schedule. I am so bad with bloodwork (needles, blood, ick) but I developed a process that worked for me and the IHR staff are so nice and understanding and made me comfortable and were really nice to talk to. I took a PTO day when I had my egg retrieval and I did not need any tylenol/pain reliever afterwards. I feel like this was such a great personal decision and investment in myself and my future family. For all of those single women out there... the unknown can be really scary but once you start the process and know you are moving forward with what is important to you... you will feel all that stress just melt away. UPDATE: April 2024 - The love of my life was born this week! Thank you Dr Tur Kaspa and the entire IHR team.
I’ve been coming to IHR since last November for unexplained infertility, and I’ve had a wonderful experience so far. I just completed my first cycle of IUI, and I am eagerly waiting for results. I’ve had such a good experience with staff, and I feel comfortable and well taken care of whenever I have an appointment.
WONDERFUL! Dr. Cohen is amazing and so is his staff. This was my second fertility clinic that my husband and I used and we are so happy we switched. The staff is readily available and the patient portal is just a gem. The messaging with the clinical staff is easy and always get quick responses. Any questions with your billing is also easily done through the portal. I never felt ignored and always felt compassion with any of my concerns or questions. I did 4 transfers at my last clinic with no pregnancies. With Dr. Cohen, he did some testing that was not even offered at my last clinic (an ERA) and voila!!!!!.....PREGNANT on my first transfer with him ;) I cannot recommend this amazing doctor and clinic enough. My husband and I feel very blessed we ended up in the right hands to get us to rainbow baby!!!! Do not hesitate if you are struggling with infertility, this is the place for answers. Best of Luck!!!!
The entire IHR staff is wonderful with a topic and situation that’s so personal I never felt that I was on the outside Dr Cohen has answered my prayers with the goal of conceiving a child anytime I had doubt or was nervous he reassured me that I was in good hands from our first zoom appointment I was asked one question Are You Ready To Get Pregnant? I told him yes and he said I will do just that. Dr Cohen is a miracle worker and my husband and I are forever grateful for this experience . If you’re reading my comment and you’re indecisive about picking a doctor or nervous here is the reassurance you may need pick Dr Cohen he won’t let you down .
I’ve been waiting for 10 month to write this review ( just being superstitious ) , gave birth to my 2nd daughter 2 weeks ago, I owe everything to Dr Tur Kaspa and his team. I’ve been to a different practice before but IHR have been like a family, supportive, friendly from the ultrasound techs to Linda, the front desk and to my favorite person Dr TK. I am over 40 so it was definitely more challenging for me but I got all the support I needed, it takes a village and mine was at IHR, I can’t thank you enough!
“The miracle doctor, Dr. Tur-Kaspa”IHR was our third clinic for IVF & the third time was definitely the charm! Absolutely every single person with IHR has been overly comforting & helpful every step of the way. As of today we’re currently 10 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. We honestly believe without a doubt this wouldn’t have happened if it was for IHR & Dr. Tur-Kaspa. We definitely recommend that you call IHR & we wish everyone the best of luck in this journey because we know it’s a very difficult time for us all.Dr. Tur-Kaspa you hold a special spot in our hearts. We can’t thank you & your team enough for making our dream come true. God bless you all & we look forward to coming back for round two & three.
IHR feels like a big family. I was treated so well and everyone made me feel like I was in good hands. With going to a fertility clinic, you don’t know what to expect and you might not be happy to have to be going but at the end it’s all worth it. I’m happy to say I now have my baby and am so happy I chose IHR to help me with my fertility journey.
IHR has forever changed my husband and Is world!Dr. Tur-Kaspa, Dr. Cohen and the amazing staff at IHR will forever hold a special place in our hearts. After a 6 year battle with infertility, we now have the most beautiful daughter, who is about to turn 4 years old in February. This review is beyond overdue but better late than never to share our story.I remember the day that my husband and I sat across from Dr. Tur-Kaspa in his office for our first consultation on September 28, 2015. We left the consult with our heads spinning to say the least. After discussing together at home, we decided to start our journey with IVF at IHR that very next day.I was a challenge case from the beginning. My body loved creating fibroids! It took years of surgical procedures to remove the fibroids and scar tissue within my uterus. There wasnt a smooth surface inside it. No wonder why I had dealt with so much pain over the years leading up. As soon as I healed from one surgery, my body thought it was time to move more fibroids in. My OBGYN discovered the fibroids in 2013 and performed 3 surgeries before referring me to Dr. Tur-Kaspa at IHR.During our time at IHR, everyone there became like family, and they were all on my team. They truly cared about our story and our success of having a baby. Dr. Tur-Kaspa made me feel confident and comfortable. There were countless times that he had to deliver bad news/results, but we trusted him to continue the fight with us. We knew he had our best interest in mind every step of the way. We knew that we were in the right hands, and we weren’t ready to give up.After another 10 surgical procedures, 3 rounds of egg retrievals, 5 embryo transfers, 1 miscarriage and 1 ectopic pregnancy, it was time for our reward! Embryo #5, our last embryo, decided to take and I was able to carry to term. In 2019, I gave birth to the most amazing baby girl and our world was forever changed for the better. This week we took our daughter into the office to meet Dr. Tur-Kaspa and thank him once again for giving us the most special gift anyone could give. We sat down in the same chairs, across from him in his office. I was instantly transported to the first day we met for our initial consultation. It was surreal! Our journey was no doubt hard and filled with hurt, disappointment, and sadness at times but Dr. Tur-Kaspa, Dr. Cohen and the family at IHR helped us to keep up the hopefulness. It took a village and more strength than you can imagine but worth every moment of it. Words will never fully be able to describe our gratefulness, admiration and love we have for IHR. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
I have nothing but great things to say! After two years of TTC, two previous IVF clinics, 5 previous transfers I almost gave up. I found IHR after hearing some great reviews and after meeting with Dr. Cohen I immediately felt confident that this will be our time. He altered my protocol which was different from all my previous cycles and with my first transfer at IHR I am now 16 weeks pregnant! The staff is great, you will spend most time with the Ultrasound techs but they were all wonderful and I always looked forward to coming in for a visit. IHR is amazing and I hope to be coming back when im ready for #2 :)
After two miscarriages in a matter of 6 months, my wife and I were feeling extremely defeated. We seemed to get little to no answers from the doctors we had been working with and happened upon IHR... what a blessing! We connected with Dr. Cohen from the very first appointment and he and his team were a pleasure to work with. As so many reviews state here already, he did a wonderful job at explaining procedures and the risks/success that they carry with them. We are so very happy to say that after our time with Dr. Cohen, we are now just over 20 weeks pregnant and eagerly awaiting the arrival of our first child!
I cant say enough wonderful things about IHR! Dr. Cohen and his team were amazing and made the whole process as smooth as possible. Everyone at IHR is so warm and caring. We had success with our first FET and now have a beautiful baby boy :) I highly recommend them if you are thinking about doing IVF!
Dr. Cohen and his team are absolutely amazing. He is a doctor that is so knowledge about his practice, that he can have a joyful, easy going conversation with his patients. He was ready for any question that I had which provided me with so much comfort. IHR was our first choice in reproductive endocrinology and definitely the right one. My reason for choosing the clinic right away was because I saw that they work with an acupuncturist. This communicated to me that they are knowledgeable about all aspects infertility. Outside of IHR, I have had positive experiences with acupuncture as related to my condition. We had our first son naturally over 8 years ago. That experience and this one have both been positive and exciting. As health care providers, this experience left us in awe of reproductive endocrinology. It also made us feel informed and comforted. Jocelynn, the RN, took the time to talk whenever I needed! We had the opportunity to do genetic testing on ourselves as well as PGT testing on our embryos. And finally, good nutrition, improved sleep and acupuncture. I feel all of these had a role in our success. While all of this may seem like a lot of work, in the end, I improved my quality of life so that I can be my best self at all times, especially now, in pregnancy.
We had an amazing experience with Dr. Cohen and everyone at IHR. Dr Cohen is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but he is really compassionate and made us feel very comfortable throughout our experience. Following each appointment, you receive same day lab and ultrasound results, and a nurse calls you to review, answer questions, and provide your next steps. It was really reassuring and helpful to have such frequent communication. We are so thankful to everyone at IHR!
Would not recommend. This place feels like a chicken farm. I never saw my Doctor not even on my surgery. The doctor felt like a sales person asking me if I wanted the Chevy or the Cadillac for treatment without explaining how my condition of endometriosis might affect treatment options. ( I was diagnosed with Endo by my OBGYN and confirmed via a separate surgery prior to coming to IHR).The HSG test the nurse practitioner did was awful. I’ve done this test twice before at my OBGYN and at another clinic and both experiences were not as traumatic as what I experienced at IHR. It was awful - it took longer than it should, and cause severe pain I had to get a friend pick me up and take me home after. I don’t think the staff has the experience to understand how to do that test without causing pain. When I notified my doctor of that situation he was completely dismissive.Words cannot describe how awful this experience was with IHR. I highly recommend checking FertilityIQ to review ratings of doctor before you commit to a fertility clinic.
My experience here was great. All of the staff were wonderful. The clinic’s patient portal is easy to use and also very informative. There’s even videos that they put on there for you to watch and you can view them as much as you need so you can stay informed. Dr. Cohen was very real about what to expect and also talked through every process with me before and during the procedures. He’s a very amicable doctor and very effective at what he does. I’m excited to do my next few embryo transfers there within the next couple years.
We had a wonderful experience at IHR with Dr. Cohen and his entire team. We started our journey with them in August 2021 and welcomed a sweet baby boy in September 2022.Dr. Cohen is a world-class physician with a warm, light-hearted bedside manner. He patiently guided us through our results/options and made us feel comfortable to ask all of our naïve questions. This process requires A LOT of appointments but IHR made it easy. The office and staff were very comfortable and warm---and it was nice to have a friendly chat/smile with the front desk, phlebotomists and ultrasound techs to get through all those quick early morning visits. Parking was very easy for downtown Chicago (especially for the early morning appointments---we could usually find free street parking right in front of the entrance). The portal made it super easy to communicate with the staff and see test results. I was able to ask a million questions and receive quick, clear answers. My procedures were done by Dr. Cohen at an outpatient surgery center which was also fantastic (staff was incredibly friendly and professional and made the experience very comfortable for me).We are very happy with our choice to use IHR and would highly recommend it!
I am beyond grateful for Dr. Cohen and the entire IHR team. After my first appointment with Dr. Cohen, I knew I made the right decision in choosing IHR. He is warm, caring, extremely knowledgeable and made me feel truly heard from day 1. The nursing staff is exceptional in answering questions quickly, including after hours calls (even on a Sunday evening over a holiday weekend). The ultrasound techs are informative in keeping you in the loop of what is going on during the process and the front desk ladies, Linda and Jennifer, make you feel welcomed and even knew me by name which was comforting while going through a stressful time period. I look forward to sending the team a birth announcement when our little one arrives!
We could not recommend IHR enough. We had been to two large clinics to try to find out our fertility issues. IHR was immediately very different. They are incredibly responsive with everything, appointments, results, questions, anything. It felt like the team was our biggest cheerleaders. They just wanted us to succeed, getting to know us and our story. Dr Levrant was amazing to work with, he was honest but kept everything very light. Finding humor when appropriate, he was honest and incredibly responsive. He kept saying we had been waiting long enough when we asked about timelines. I even had an emergency surgery right before the start of our IVF cycle and IHR immediately had a plan of how to manage in the best way. Cannot thank the team enough for everything they do
I started with IHR and Dr. Levrant after 3 years of infertility. After doing the baseline tests, I had to have surgery to remove a polpy. Dr. Levrant did the surgery and all went well. From there, Dr. Levrant created a plan for us, which consisted of prescriptions/hormones first, 3 cycles of IUI, then IVF if the first two options didnt work. We ended up pregnant on the second cycle of IUI. I currently am 24 weeks pregnant. Doctors and nurses were great but you mostly work with the nurses. Appointments were easy to make as theres multiple locations, in both IL and IN. The only thing Id say is the billing department was always difficult to get ahold of with is frustrating when it comes to insurance, etc.Overall great experience!
Staff are very warm, accommodating and professional. The doctors, NPs, nurses are knowledgeable. We did two cycles and I just gave birth to a healthy baby boy, already thinking of doing baby number 2! Dr. Tur-Kaspa is hands down the best doc!
I highly recommend Dr.Cohen and his team. My fertility struggles started back in 2018. After having no luck on our own, a friend highly recommended that we go to IHR. Dr. Cohen was able to identify my issues and get me on the right treatment plan. I am happy to say after a long journey that I am currently pregnant with my first child and it’s a GIRL! I do not have enough kind words to say about Dr. Cohen and his team. Everyone at IHR was wonderful.
EDIT: I now have a beautiful, healthy baby boy after an uneventful pregnancy. I cant say enough great things about IHR.I was a pretty hopeless case coming to IHR--I had a history of miscarriage, my husband and I were both carriers of the same genetic disorder, I was pushing 40, and I had low egg count. It doesnt get much worse in the IVF world. With the help of Dr. Tur-Kaspa and his amazing team, I am now 9 weeks pregnant with a baby boy! The IHR team was well-informed, responsive, patient, and total cheerleaders given my situation; without them, today I probably would not be in the process of growing my family. My husband and I could not be happier with the clinic or these amazing results! If you are considering IVF or struggling with infertility or other family planning issues, know that you arent alone, and I wish you as much success as we had with IHR! Seriously, check them out :)
I cant say enough good things about my experience with IHR. I am 28 years old and after some life events and changes, decided to freeze my eggs.It was such a seamless process from beginning to end. All of the staff are so clear with instructions, the staff and nurses are so friendly and efficient, and the portal is a great resource to get questions answered quickly. I am terrified of needles and they made sure I was completely prepared and comfortable enough to give myself all of my stims injections and it was so easy.I worked with Dr. Levrant through the process and Dr. Cohen performed my egg retrieval. The procedure was really quick and easy, and although recovery is tough, the staff continued to check in on me and give tips for an easier recovery. For something so intimidating, I cant imagine how they could have made it run any smoother and I thank all of the staff so much for that. I believe I will be doing another round later in the year to give myself the best chances for my future, and I wouldnt want to work with anyone else.
IHR is great! It is expensive, but so is IVF in general. These guys are the best. We had Dr. Tur Kaspa and he is a luminary in the field. They also showed a lot of compassion through the whole process which can be very trying. My wife got a brain tumor in the middle of the fertility treatments and they worked with our neurosurgeons to ensure my wifes safety and health. Now shes pregnant and healthy! I definitely recommend IHR.
Let me start saying my experience was pretty good as i am currently 5 months pregnant after one egg retrieval and one transfer, so i really am a result driven person and at the end of the day is super important. I want to talk about my experience because every women and family needs are different so just for people to determine if ihr is right for them. My first consult was May 2022 I was 35 yo, Dr. Cohen was straightforward and right to the point, was a 10 minutes consult and he talked about overall success rates and options, medicated cycle 5% success rate, insemination 10, ivf 70. Testing will be first step. We didnt find anything wrong, ovarian reserve good, sperm good, no blockages in my tubes, just three polyps to remove. Egg retrieval was pretty efficient, smooth process, blood test and ultrasound almost every other day and with that info regular adjustment for medication. We retrieved 14 eggs, 8 mature, 6 fertilized. Retrieval was with a different doctor. Honestly i was hoping for more but reading a lot about overstimulated ovaries i get it. Egg retrieval was 8/26, three months after first consult, so they move fast. We did genetic testing, three perfect normal blasts. Now polypectomy we had to wait a long time and that was October 13th. Transfer was November 23rd. Those are the facts. Now for pros they are very efficient, all the locations are nice and fast. The procedures are done in an amazing facility where nurses and staff are amazing, they rush you a little bit but i understand. Dr Cohen is very good at what he does in my opinion. Cons they do not have a personal touch and support AT ALL. Every time is a different nurse/ technician, you see your doctor only for surgery , consults are fast and to the point, calls are not often and from different nurses only after procedures, communication is thru portal. The office at huron has a system problem where you get your blood drawn and they dont know your are waiting for ultrasound and they just forget about you, hopefully they fixed this. I did have a bad experience with one nurse that call me right after egg retrieval saying that we got 8 mature eggs and only half will fertilized and half of those will be normal and trying to push another egg retrieval right away. I have so many problems with this, first of all if that was the case this was in my books a failed cycle almost, explain to me why and what could be done differently and maybe that call should have been from my doctor. Second, back to back treatment i would think shouldnt be recommended. They knew my insurance was paying for it. Not sure if this was a nurse mistake, i dont want to think they instruct them to push treatment to patients for financial gain... unnecessary treatment if i might add in my opinion, since i am pregnant and have two healthy frozen embryos in case i want to have a second child, could have more but I feel two is enough in my case. I dont want to finish on a negative note, i am extremely thankful and IHR literally changed my life and made my dreams come true in less than 6 months, crazy. So they are doing a lot of things rights.
Update: we had our beautiful baby girl in February 2023.My journey at IHR has been nothing short of a Rollercoaster journey. I began seeing Dr. Cohen in March of 2021. He was kind and upfront of the road ahead. He was there the entire time and always made you feel like a person and not a number. I have had 3 fets first two ending in miscarriage and currently 7weeks3days with my 3rd. We were able to retrieve a great number of embyros that are frozen. I drove 2 and half hours for this clinic and I wouldnt change it for the world. This wonderful doctor has blessed me with 3 pregnancies and hopefully this one will end in a healthy full term miracle. I read reviews for Yeats before choosing the clinic I would invest my future in and this one is it. We paid out of pocket the entire journey and I wont lie it was very difficult not only about the money but the financial department could be difficult to deal with. The entire staff from lab to ultrasound became family after seeing them many many visits. I will continue to come here until our family has grown and my heart is full. I trust Dr. Cohen with all of my being to help me bring beautiful miracles into this world. Today was bittersweet as it was my graduation day. I wish all you amazing families baby dust 💫
I can’t say enough how remarkable the team here at IHR is. I have never had such awesome individualized patient care as I had while coming here. All of my questions and concerns were quickly addressed every time whether it was over the phone or through the portal. I never once felt like I didn’t matter as a patient. Everyone from the front desk (Linda and Jennifer) to the ultrasound techs, nurses and my physician Dr. Cohen- thank you wholeheartedly for providing such excellent care for people in search of starting a family. My husband and I will surely be sending pictures of our little one when the time comes!
Do not recommend. I had a terrible experience here. I am going through the fertility process alone and IHR made everything much worse. For anyone that decides to do this alone, it takes a lot of courage. It’s a HUGE decision. It’s scary. So having a DR that is supportive is imperative. I was referred to Dr Cohen by my OB/GYN which I’m very happy with. I was super excited about the initial appt which was virtual, only to have the DR give me daunting statistics for 30 min. Not once did he say anything POSITIVE. It seemed he was shaming me for wanting a child at my age. I got off the call feeling very sad. A few days later I called back on two separate occasions and left messages but the DR never returned my call. I’m not a quitter so I pushed forward. As the process continued I talked to several different staff members and had to explain my very private situation to each one, it seemed they never checked the notes. I was just being passed around from person to person. I felt like just a number. Finally, I refused to do that anymore and was able to stick w one nurse who was amazing. Never saw or spoke to the DR after initial appt so that shows how much he cared. Had a few issues w billing but they were resolved quickly. The staff at the front desk was so rude. Not warm or welcoming at all. Needed help with forms a few times and they couldn’t assist. They acted like they were bothered. The front desk is also all open so there’s no privacy when discussing things with the front desk. Everyone can hear my situation and I can hear everyone else’s. The waiting room is right next to the front desk. Tried twice to get pregnant and both were unsuccessful. Each procedure was miserable, I felt like a piece of meat. I was being poked and prodded with no regard for my comfortability. It was miserable. I did voice my issues to the Administrator on two separate occasions but he just defended their side both times. My concerns were never acknowledged, let alone considered. I spent about 6 months from beginning to end with IHR and felt defeated by the end. The experience was so cold. It’s now 6 months later and I’ve started to look for a new DR. Time is not on my side so I hope to have success elsewhere. IHR should be more mindful of what their patients are going through when they walk in their doors.UPDATE 1/3/23 - I did call and speak to the new Administrator, Kristina on 12/19/22 per her request based on my review. I went over everything w her and once again shared all the intimate details of what happened. She gave me this whole spiel about how they are managed by Pinnacle now and they really care about their clients and their satisfaction. How there’s a bunch of new staff and new processes. We discussed potentially connecting me w a new doctor. She said she was going to look into my issues/concerns and call me back by Friday of that week, 12/23/22. It’s now 3 weeks later and I never received a call back. So, new staff, new owner, new Administrator still = horrible experience. Do not recommend.
I’m sooooo excited to announce that I’m ten weeks pregnant 🤰 now. I’m beyond grateful for the help of IHR. It has been a long and emotional journey for sure but the only thing that matters is that I’m carrying a baby in me now. I just heard the baby heart beat first time this morning which is incredible feeling. I have used both doctor Cohen and Kaspa. They are both very good at their job. I highly recommend this place 👍
Dear Future Parents,Dont look further because you found your place where you can put your trust. I only have the highest compliments to this wonderful people. Dr. Cohen is very realistic and caring. I met Dr. Tur-Kaspa as well and he great as well. You will spend most of the time with the Ultrasound technicians and you got to love them! I did! Every one of them and especially Sarah H. She always made sure I understand what are we doing and what is next. Lab technician was gentle and always trying to find the best, least painful and bruised spot. Front desk ladies are so welcoming and warm. In one word the all CARE for you! And Nurses!!! Responding to messages in timely manner, making sure you understand the schedule.I am writing this post because this clinic deserve best reviews and I have plenty of past experience to compare with.Thank you IHR!
Excellent communication skills by the staff when it comes to lab results , appointments, instructions. The physicians have a very gentle and warm bedside manner which we very much appreciated. We were very pleased with Katrina Marshall as she took time out of her busy days to answer any and all questions in regards to insurance and the financial aspect of this journey.I will recommend IHR to those in search of help with starting a family!
I started at IHR in October 2021 after 2 failed FETs at another clinic. My husband and I were heartbroken and decided to give it one last shot and transferred to IHR under the care of Dr. Tur-Kaspa. The staff was extremely nice and all my questions were always answered within 24 hours. Dr. Tur-Kaspa took time to understand what my body needed and I had my first successful FET in January (first shot with IHR) and am almost 8 weeks today! I would highly recommend IHR for a hands on approach and truly a patient centered environment.
I cannot explain to you how much I despise this place and the care I received. Firstly, I want to preface that this is my first egg, freezing cycle I have ever done, and I probably would not have known any differently if I was not going through an egg freezing cycle with my colleague, who has the same insurance, and benefits that I do, but she resides in New York. Therefore, I was able to see the start differences in care I received compared to her, going through the same exact process in New York. After the initial virtual consult, I, never saw her, nor did I hear from her until my second surgery. The worst part is surgery day. I showed up to the surgery, expecting my woman doctor, Dr. Mary Wood Molo. I expected this, because when I checked in, my hospital bracelet, the text I received from the surgery center, and the nurse who called me back to the hospital room confirmed that I was there to see Dr. Mary Wood Molo. You read that correctly. At 6 AM, the nurse verbally asked me whether I was getting surgery from this woman doctor. I confirmed yes. Then, when the doctor and anesthesiologist came to introduce themselves, a male walked in. I was extremely floored that I told my significant other that that was not my surgeon. My significant other left the room and then I went into the surgery room. He was in fact, my surgeon. Then, the surgery only lasts about 20 minutes, so I was woken up by the nurse. The nurse went over the results with me, which was a meager three follicles. I am not upset about this fact, but the nurse should not be delivering bad news. I had questions, so she unprofessional. He did not have the answer so she had to get the doctor. I do not expect the nurse to have any answers, but I do expect the doctor to be delivering bad news. I was a rare case in which the trigger medication did not take, so he mentioned to me that I had to take more sugar medication, and come back the next day. He assured me that Dr. Mary Wood Molo would be there tomorrow morning for the surgery. A few hours go by, and I receive a confirmation text from the surgery center that I am having surgery with a doctor named Seth. I was livid. I called the clinic to confirm and ask whether I could change to an earlier time the next day, as well as to have the doctor that I was promised, and that I Wanted care from in the first place. They did accommodate me, but accommodation feels like such a weird word to use when you should not be a bother, nor have to ask whether to have the doctor you scheduled with, and who agreed to see you and take care of you. I waited in the hospital room for about 30 minutes. She was clearly late. She showed up in her layman clothes with her Burberry jacket on. Her sickly sweet attitude really turn me off as the bedside manner was just not there. Due to the fact that I took to trigger medications, I was at high risk for ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. But this is not the only reason that I was at risk. as I mentioned that there was only communication through the portal, unless you sought it out, they did not communicate with me during the period in which I had to take medications prior to my injection that I should stop taking a certain medication before injections. The medication increase my estrogen levels, which increase the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome a week or so after the surgery I vomited, which is a sign of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. Hi called the on-call nurse at 6:24 and 6:25 AM, when the clinic opens at 6:30 AM, and nobody answered. Even if they are able to complete everything online, with little to no human interaction, they should call to check at each stopping point or starting point to make sure the patient has all of the information necessary. I absolutely was not communicated that I should stop taking estradiol, which absolutely led to increased risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.I hope that some women read this and know what they are getting themselves into at this clinic. Absolutely abhorrent
IHR was recommended by a friend after we’d both started at a different clinic in Chicago. Dr. Tur-Kaspa was fantastic. The portal is great and keeps everything organized. We are now pregnant! So very happy with our experience.
This place is rude and fraudulent. Not something expectant mothers need. Stay away.Very poor experience.I set up an intro call, just excepting to get an overview of timelines and what they provided. They then proceeded to continuously call my wife about her personal information (they were really concerned with ethnicity and race and why we werent revealing this info over the phone) They also constantly asked for our insurance info, stating it was only needed if we proceeded with any treatment. My wife took a 20 video minute call with the most awkward and uncomfortable health professional she had ever encountered. The Doctor gave her information that could be Googled (As if reading from a pamphlet) and that was it.A week later, I receive a bill for the remainder of their consultation fee. Never was this fee discussed. When we called to ask about this fee, we were rudely told this is a doctors office, we charge for every conversation we have thats how doctors offices work. All around bad vibe. Get your babies start at an upstanding institution, not now that just has an upstanding sounding name.
My family and I are so grateful for Dr. Tur-Kaspa, Dr. Cohen and the entire staff at IHR. Like others, we had a challenging fertility situation, had met with other doctors, and found a lot of comfort in this groups expertise.Communication was fluid, and most importantly honest and transparent. We developed great relationships with the nurses and techs throughout, which made the experience even more comfortable. After a failed round we had some difficult discussions, but were given options, and together we made the best decision for our chances and were ultimately successful with the great guidance and support from this team.We welcomed our baby boy on 6/26/2021 and couldnt be more grateful that we found and worked with the team at IHR!
Dr. Cohen was our second RE in our infertility journey and he was such a breath of fresh air compared to our first doctor. He is kind and compassionate and you can tell he truly cares about what he’s doing. His sense of humor helped ease nerves and tension. He also was incredibly respectful of our faith and moral convictions about certain aspects of the process. And while there were a few bumps in dealing with a particular nurse, he was quick to step in and remedy the situation. We now have two IVF kiddos and one natural surprise!
My husband and I were referred to IHR by my OBGYN. We were blessed four years ago to have natural conception with our daughter but after trying again for over a year with no results we began our journey at IHR. I can not say enough wonderful things about this infertility office. New and inexperienced about the journey ahead of us, my husband and I were greatly comforted with the highly experienced and trained doctors/staff. Dr. Cohen always welcomed us and answered all our questions along our journey. Dr Cohen always made me feel confident in his care, eased my anxiety when needed with his positive attitude. I also appreciated Dr. Cohens honesty regarding our specific infertility diagnosis and follow up along the way. The front desk staff, blood nurse and ultra sound tech were equally as trained and welcoming. My nurse Karen was especially fantastic, patient and kind. Anytime I called or left an email at IHR they were always answered in a timely manner. The office is very clean and always found parking right in front. We feel very fortune and blessed to have received successful news on our second round of IVF and our expecting our second baby girl Feb 2016. We are very thankful for our experience at IHR and would highly recommend anyone going through infertility treatment to their facility. Dr. Cohen is the best!
Dr. Tur Kaspa is truly one of the worlds top experts in the field of reproductive medicine. My wife and I had no success at another clinic after several rounds, and we went to IHR. The main difference is that Dr Tur Kaspa has a detailed grasp of the exact dosages of medicines, when to adjust them and which ones will promote the best results. I dont think we would have had success without this clinic. They also have great customer service. Would highly recommend.
Dr. Tur-Kaspa and the whole IHR team are fantastic. My partner and I transferred to their care for our second IVF cycle in the spring of 2019 and we felt warmly welcomed. They were extremely responsive to all of our questions and they took the time to get to know us during each visit. From the very beginning, we felt strongly supported and received the very best personalized care. After each visit with Dr. Tur-Kaspa, I would feel hopeful and relieved that there was progress in our journey. He has a wonderful sense of humor and I (a generally anxious person) was comforted by his knowledge and encouragement. We were successful after one IVF cycle with IHR and after the first transfer. There arent enough words to convey our gratitude and our happiness. Our son was born in September 2020. We will happily return to their care to try to get pregnant again soon. If you are on the fence about who to turn to, Dr. Tur-Kaspa is the best!
IHR was a wonderful experience. They do a yearly IVF drawing, so one lucky person gets to win a FREE IVF cycle! Somehow, someway… I managed to be this lucky person this year. I couldn’t believe it. I still can’t believe it. It was the best thing to ever happen to my family. I was discharged from the clinic at 8 weeks PREGNANT! Not only did they give me a huge blessing of a free IVF cycle, but we are walking away with the ultimate goal of a pregnancy! Dr. Tur-Kaspa was great. He is a kind doctor who really knows his stuff. I would recommend him and this clinic any day. I had such a great experience! Thank you for this ultimate life blessing IHR!!!! ❤️
I went to IHR for my IVF treatments because my husband had cancer twice, so we were dealing with already preserved/frozen sperm! We went through our first IVF cycle in February of 2021, but didn’t have any usable embryos for our frozen transfer (came back abnormal). We applied for a scholarship with Chicago Family Building Foundation who partners with IHR and we won! So we were able to try another round of IVF. Dr. Tur Kaspa adjusted my protocol this time around with the main focus being egg quality instead of egg quantity. We had one perfect embryo to transfer and we are successfully pregnant!! It’s completely surreal but we know for a fact we wouldn’t be at this phase without Dr. Tur Kaspa and the IHR staff. His goal the entire time was “let’s get you pregnant!” And he did it! We are truly so incredibly thankful and had an amazing experience both times here. They are friendly, great at communication, and always keeps the end goal in mind. Thank you so much! Also, we have interviewed so many fertility specialists prior and had many consults at different clinics. We decided on using Dr. Tur Kaspa out of them all because of his confidence and trust! It was a drive for us too, as we are from Valparaiso, Indiana, but didn’t mind driving to Chicago each time because we knew we were in great hands.
Just finished a cycle with IHR as an egg donor through an agency. I really enjoyed working with this clinic. Maria, the nurse coordinator, was always there to answer my questions via email and was very friendly. Dr. Cohen was who I met with on my initial visit and he also did the retrieval. I liked him a lot upon meeting him, and he especially put my mind at ease on the morning of the retrieval stating that the goal was to get this done as safely as possible. I have read true horror stories about egg donors being treated as nothing more than an egg-producing machine with little regard from medical staff about their feelings and well-being. I felt taken care of and prioritized by this clinic, and am so thankful that this was my first experience as an egg donor.
I absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone who has been struggling with infertility. My experience with IHR was great from the clinical staff to the nurses & of course the drs. I had been trying to conceive for about 4 years naturally before I made the decision to look for the right fertility clinic. Once I met Dr.Cohen I knew I made the right decision, what really stood out was when he told me he cared about not only getting me pregnant but also a healthy pregnancy and a healthy mom. Dr.Cohen was very straight forward but caring and always had a plan to succeed. I’ve heard great things about Dr.Turkaspa as well even though I’ve never had the chance to meet with him.I also loved the culture of the clinic and how I was never judged by my age (I am 24years old) I’ve seen many drs who suggest I’m to young to be worried about having children, I feel IHR took my passion for wanting to become a mom seriously. I am now 8 weeks pregnant because of IHR and dr Cohen and I couldn’t be more grateful. I can’t wait to work with them again when I’m ready for more children in the future.
I will for ever be grateful for Dr. Tur Kaspa, Dr Cohen and all their staff. As I write this review I have my 6 week baby boy next to me. This office gave me back my life and made me feel complete. I stared my journey at 31 with another very prominent office in northwest suburbs. For 4 years I felt like I was experimented on with different protocols and drained of all my money. Besides low ovarian reserve and being overweight there was no issues and I was told to keep trying, that it would work at some point. Every retrieval I would only have 1 to 2 viable embryos left. Office staff was cold, the nurses didnt care, there was no sympathy, it was all about money. My biggest regret is not leaving sooner but I trusted them and had friends that got pregnant there. Meeting Dr. Tur Kaspa changed my life. He told me he wanted me to succeed and would do everything in his power to make it happen. From my 1st to the 4th retrieval I had more embryos that were frozen that I had in the 4 years prior with the other office. Doing pgt testing ended up being a key for us, this was something I was concerned about due to expenses but Dr. Kaspa kept encouraging and was totally right. I was very upset that only 2 embryos came back as normal and we had to discard so many. However it only takes one, and I got pregnant on my 1st transfer. I lost all hope prior but Dr. Tur Kaspa worked his magic. The staff is another reason why this office is top notch. They are a family and treat u as such. With so many patients, I still felt like they cared about me personally. The ultrasound techs were great and comforting. Linda and Jennifer knew my name and were just lovely. Always trying to accommodate me with 6am appts as I drove 40 mins to get to the office. The staff at the surgical center also great and took amazing care of me. The nurses are fantastic, always calling back timely and answered all my annoying questions. Everyone made me feel like they cared, they were sympathetic, patient and available. I cant stress enough how much staff matters during such emotional time. Even though everyone in the office is there for the same reason, u still feel so alone. The whole office is comforting and thats the top level care and experience that you want to have when you feel so sensitive. Im so glad that this office was recommended to me, it had changed mine and my husbands life. Im grateful and highly recommend this office to anyone who wants to have successful results.
Dr Tur Kaspa is sort of a magician, a medical magician if you will. I am so grateful for a friend’s recommendation to go see him in 2018 (when our journey was just starting!)I write this review as I am laying here being induced for my second baby (who was given a less than 1% chance of existence!) Because of my high FSH (16.5) and low AMH (.015) numbers not many doctors would’ve taken up my case but Dr TK said “we have not much to lose. If anyone can get you pregnant, it’s me!” :)) I believed him and I stuck it out even though at times it was discouraging. Usually, the message for those with POI or DOR is to pursue donor eggs right away. While Dr TK did “keep it real” with us, trying to manage our expectations and not giving us false hopes, he was also instrumental at adjusting my protocol each time coming up with ways to change things up: back to back cycles, mini cycles, HGH treatment, etc.I appreciated his confidence and his guidance through this whole process. This was a very long and drawn out journey for my husband and I, and having his expertise along the way has proved to be invaluable. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, experienced and cutting edge Reproductive Endocrinologist (aka IVF doctor) look no further - both Dr Tur Kaspa and Dr Cohen (his partner) are amazing!Their staff are absolutely wonderful as well!! Booking appointments for monitoring has never been an issue for me. Overall, a pretty great experience over here :)
I started seeing Dr Cohen in July 2018. Me and hubby were trying on and off for 14 years with no success. Upon initial meeting with Dr Cohen he immediately gave me realistic outcomes for my situation. He expressed to me that he would do his best with getting me pregnant. During this consult I expressed that I wanted twins. Again Dr. Cohen told me not what I wanted to hear but what would be best for me and the babies. I left his office feeling hopeful. Fast forward to November 2018 and I was PREGNANT WITH TWINS!!!! Everything that he instructed me to do I did. I didn’t give up. Getting up for blood work and ultrasounds was not easy with work. Now I’m 13 weeks and awaiting the birth of two healthy babies. I am so grateful for Dr. Cohen and all of his staff. They were great. Thanks to IHR I am going to finally have a family. I could not have chosen a better place 😊
After more than two years of trying without success, we pursued fertility treatment with Dr. Cohen. Dr. Cohen is kind, knowledgeable and has great bedside manners. Everyone Ive interacted with at IHR, from the front desk staff, nurses, ultrasound techs and the ladies who drew my blood, have always treated me with kindness and respect.Communication is great, too. The IHR portal is really easy to use and any questions or concerns I had were always answered promptly. Theres also a phone app for the portal as well. This journey was painful and long but thanks to IHR we were able to conceive and had our beautiful son! We are so grateful for the team at IHR and I would highly recommend IHR to anyone seeking fertility treatment.
This is honestly the worst place you can ever go to. It feels like a factory. I think they take too many patients than they can handle. Things keep falling through the cracks at this place. Dr. Mary Wood Molo had no idea what she diagnosed me with at our initial meeting and I had to proactively schedule an appointment with her to follow up. I also had to call 2-3 times to even schedule a surgery that she herself recommended. I ended up canceling it after because I wanted nothing to do with this place. I wouldn’t want things falling through the cracks especially when it involves my body. Also, did I mention the $1,200 genetic testing Dr. Mary Wood Molo ordered and was not covered under my insurance? Now I need to pay that out of pocket as well.
I am so glad my OB doctor recommended IHR to anyone with infertility issues or concerns. Dr. Cohen and his staff are fantastic and they will help you with any questions. I got pregnant naturally and I believe it could have been due to thyroid issues. However, in the future we were going to plan for another child we would definitely go back to IHR. I felt the ladies at the front desk were always so nice and sincerely kind to me. Phlebotomist think her name is Nicole was fabulous and she will be an awesome nurse someday. Dr. Cohen is a sweetheart and is down to earth. He makes you feel calm and is a very warm hearted person that only wants the best for his patients. He will make you laugh and don’t make you feel obligated with one of the fertility method and tries to tell you which one is the best method if you ask him.
I have nothing but positive things to say about IHR and their staff. They make a stressful process as easy and smooth as possible. Everyone is professional and do a great job laying out a plan and ensuring you know exactly what needs to be done and when. We worked with Dr. Tur-Kaspa for our first baby over two years ago, and when we decided to have a second baby, it was an easy decision to go right back to him. He is calm, collected and makes you feel at ease. IHR has been recognized as one of the leading fertility centers, and after my experience there, its easy to see why.
Would highly recommend! I did a lot of research before choosing IHR. Im a 33 year old black woman with PCOS so wanted a doctor with experience and great reviews. I’ve done 2 egg freezing cycles with Dr. Tur-Kaspa, both went really well!He was available to meet with me on numerous occasions when I had questions. The nurses are also great and answered my questions (I had a lot!) promptly. I like the online portal, it’s easy to use and all the information you need is on there. The stimulation cycles are hard (mentally and physically) but everyone at IHR made it seamless. I’ll be back in the future to use my eggs!
Dr. Cohen is excellent at what he does. During every meeting he was able to clearly describe procedures, risks, success %, etc. I dont think we left a meeting without a diagram to help further his explanations. Dr. Cohens bed side manners are 100%. Hes caring and gentle. He always made me feel comfortable and knowledgeable of what was happening while he was preforming a procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. Cohen and IHR.
I had the best experience at Ihr with dr Tur-Kaspa and his team. This is my second transfer and I am pregnant again after 5 years. He is the most knowledgeable and kind hearted doctor I have met. I am recommending IHR to everyone. Thank you!!!❤️
My wife and I are so grateful to have been referred to Dr. Cohen. From the start of the IVF journey, Dr. Cohen and his office have made themselves available to provide insight, advice, suggestions and encouragement. While still being incredibly professional, everyone in the office provided a family-like feel, which I found comforting. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Cohen to any individual, couple, or family looking for a fertility specialist.
If I could give 100 stars I would! We have had the absolute BEST experience with IHR. The entire staff - phlebotomists, ultrasound techs, RNs, APPs, and MDs - have been nothing short of extraordinary. They provide high-quality, professional, compassionate, and research-based care.
The best experience ever ! From the moment we walk into clinic everyone was super professional, polite and make this experience as pleasant as it can be. First call with Dr. Cohen we got all information and hope that we needed. Can say enough thank you for nurses, they so nice and encouraging, they make your procedures way more pleasant. Also option to communicate through portal made it so much easier all your questions was answered so fast. Big thank you to Dr. Cohen, Monika and staff.
I can honestly say Dr. Cohen and Dr TK are miracle workers. Against all odds being in my early 50’s I gave birth this year. Our 15 year journey finally came full circle with the birth of our son. We have been through it all in the fertility industry, which in my opinion is massively flawed.I could write a book about all the ups and downs we went through with other doctors. If you listen to every doctor or nurse as the only word then your quest to conceive might never happen. You have to find a doctor who believes in your personal journey and NO MATTER what you must be your own advocate and medical researcher.120K plus, 7 doctors, 4 IVF’s and lots of heartache, stress and feeling lost. Dr. Cohen was the first doctor who I truly felt listened to our concerns, paid attention to my suggestions and listened to my body. We’ve spent so long trying to make this magical creature come to life and now it’s happened.Don’t give up miracles do happen through determination and the right doctors!
My husband and I started seeing Dr. Cohen for help getting pregnant in October 2018. He was recommended to us by a good friend who had a successful pregnancy with his assistance, and he was the first (and only) fertility specialist we saw. If you read nothing more from this review, please takeaway that we could not be happier with the care we received from Dr. Cohen. We would absolutely recommend him to anybody trying to conceive. After some preliminary testing, Dr. Cohen sat us down and walked us through our options (IUI, IVF, or continue trying unassisted). He was incredibly patient in explaining the different options and treatments, including the risks, costs, and potential outcomes. We opted to try IUI, and after our second attempt got pregnant. Sadly this pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. As awful as that experience was, what I remember most about it was how supportive and empathetic Dr. Cohen was in delivering the news, performing the DNC, and holding my hand in the recovery room. After a couple more failed attempts at IUI, we started our IVF journey. I’d heard horror stories about fertility clinics being a “cattle call” and patients feeling like “just a number” as opposed to a patient. I can honestly say I never felt like that at IHR. From the phlebotomists to the ultrasound techs to the nurses to the office administrators, everyone is incredibly helpful, patient, caring, and professional. Like any doctor’s office, there are times you’ll have to wait for your monitoring appointment, or you’ll have to follow up to get a response to your question about your medication, but overall I’d say this is an exceptionally well-run office. As to Dr. Cohen’s care through our IVF journey, I can’t overstate how wonderful he was. He is an utmost professional with a bedside manner that one can only hope for through such an emotional and difficult process. We did 4 egg retrieval cycles back-to-back, resulting in more than enough healthy embryos to have the size family that we want. I’m thrilled to report that our first embryo transfer resulted in a (thus far) healthy pregnancy. We are due with a baby boy October 2020! If and when we are ready to have our second child, we will certainly be seeing Dr. Cohen. There are a lot of ups and downs, scary moments and difficult decisions throughout the fertility process. Dr. Cohen’s ability to coach us through those times made a world of difference in our fertility journey. We are grateful and blessed to have found Dr. Cohen.
I am so happy to write this review as today is my graduation day from this amazing clinic. Dr. Cohen and his team were my primary providers although Dr. TK has also met with me and is just as wonderful. I was referred to this clinic through my primary care doctor after experiencing a chemical pregnancy in January 2020. At the age of 39, she felt it was the best route to go. I had no knowledge of what to expect or did an background research on the clinic. If there is one piece of advice I wish I knew from day one is to read up on the IVF process and know it is not guaranteed it will work. You need to be accepting of all outcomes and know that this clinic wants you to succeed, what success means to you. Also, know your insurance plan inside and out when it comes to fertility benefits, including if meds are covered! Insurance was probably the biggest headache in this process but I am fortunate that I had some coverage to begin with. Our IVF journey began in February 2020 and as of now, ends in Jan 2021. My pregnancy ended up being spontaneous but Im sure the testing and medications I was under made a big impact. The clinic is so wonderful from day one. Appointments run 95% on time, communication is stellar! Use the patient portal! They read and respond no matter how repetitious or silly you think the inquiry may be. From Jennifer at the front desk to the wonderful lab and ultrasound techs, you really feel you are in the right hands. Finally the incredible nursing team of Jessica and Sarah who were my primary contacts. They always explained the process and never made me feel like a number. IVF is confusing and the hardest process I have gone through to date so you want a partner in this process and I cant think of a better one then IHR.Little heads up, they have a great YouTube channel that you should subscribe to and there is a patients only Facebook group that was great to be a part of. You get to understand the different protocols and procedures from couples going through the same thing as you. Very helpful.
Im beyond thankful with Dr, Cohen and his team.. my husband and i try to conceive almost for 5 year with no success until we decide to try ivf which was our last hope (we had try so much stuff), and god bless us with a bundle of joy... I highly recommend IHR to all women who has struggle with infertility. All the staff are really helpful and each of them have an answer to all my questions. Im current 10 weeks pregnant and I would definitely go for my 2nd child in the future...
37 weeks pregnant now thanks to Dr Tur-Kaspa! I had the best experience at this clinic, mostly because of doctor Tur-Kaspa, but I also had procedures done with Dr Cohen, who was great and knowledgeable, both radiologists, phlebotomists - my experience with everyone was incredible. All of the procedures I’ve done at this clinic were completely painless, including IUIs and HSN. It really takes a smart approach to make them bearable with different positions of uterus - mine were done on a full bladder on a slightly tilted chair and I appreciate that they thought it through and I never had to feel a thing (I had really painful IUIs at a different place before). With Dr Tur-Kaspa I really felt cared for, encouraged, and supported. He listened carefully, explained, and created a plan that was comfortable with me and my husband. He monitored me closely adjusting medications throughout my IVF - i felt great. But the result is the most important - I have a healthy pregnancy and I couldn’t be happier.
I had a terrible experience here, particularly with Miryl Glenner. I went in for an ultrasound. The first tech told me everything looked perfect & showed me the heartbeat of the baby on the screen. Said everything looked great and healthy. I was in the process of texting the great news to my partner. Less than a minute later, another tech and Miryl Glenner came in. They say they don’t see a heartbeat. I could not understand. I said, how? What? The other tech just told me & showed me moments ago on the screen that all was perfect. Glenner says, “Nope. Nothing. Absolutely nothing there.” This is referring to the baby’s heartbeat. The literal life and death of a child should never be talked about so cold and uncaring! I was shocked at her terrible attitude and cold behavior, and then she is just pushing on with “next steps” as tears run down my face and I choke back sobs. I was devastated! I have never dealt with someone less professional and oblivious to the total pain and devastating loss of the situation. When I wrote to the clinic to explain how everything was disastrously mishandled (from conflicting tech scans minutes apart, to terrible bedside manner), I got a most disappointing response: “I’m sorry you felt that way.” Not Glenner apologizing for what she had said to me and how unprofessional and cold she had been. Not answering my numerous questions of how two ultrasound techs could see things as polar opposites one after another. Not explaining how one saw a heartbeat and the next minute being told “Nope. Nothing.” Making a mistake and saying something completely asinine in the moment to a patient could be forgiven if the so-called professionals recognized and apologized when I explained in black and white how disastrous it all went and how poorly they had acted, particularly Glenner. But the generic “sorry you felt that way” is a non-apology for their disastrous treatment of me. It didn’t help things that I had stood in the waiting room for over 1 hour that morning waiting for my ultrasound appointment. It is a cattle call factory farm in there the way they have patients lining up to be seen. But the waiting room and appointment delays are clearly not meaningful next to the poor treatment I received at the worst, most fragile moment. This is the most painful experience of my life. They utterly failed to handle it properly or even apologize after the fact for their misconduct. Just as I told the clinic weeks ago, I strongly recommend patient sensitivity training for the staff, and some continuing education courses for the ultrasound technicians. Please God let no one else go through such life changing pain and loss with uncaring “professionals” around them.
I cant express in one word how thankful I am to all the staff of this clinic, especially to Dr. Ilan Tur Kaspa and the staff from Oak Brook Location. It was a long way but with the expected result. Receptive, attentive, kind people. I recommend this clinic with great confidence.
Dr Cohen is my hero! We have a beautiful, healthy baby boy thanks to him. If you’re struggling with infertility, I’d recommend you see him...he is incredibly intelligent and an experienced expert, but he’s also very compassionate, kind, and understanding. We had three miscarriages, six retrievals and many bumps in the road on our journey and he was supportive and wonderful through it all. IVF is hard. It’s a second job managing all of the medications and appointments but in the end it’s totally worth it. Good luck, you can do it!
I have been trying to write a review but not posted. Really horrible experience. I have tried to write details, but may not have been posted because of this.A lot of inaccurate and inconsistent information. Dismissive and negative treatment during some of the most stressful procedures in treatment. Usually did not have any idea who I was or what we were in for. Frequently threatened to stop treatment if we didn’t do certain things that we were either already trying to do or not comfortable doing even when it did not directly relate to treatment.Highly not recommended.
Me and my husband were trying for last 3 years to get pregnant but with no hope we tried everything to get pregnant like 3 clomid cycle and the other home remedies we dont have any major problem in fertility , I just had some period issues but thats because of thyroid problem so when I started taking thyroid meds my menstrual cycle become regular. My husband had low morality issues but the doctor said its not that low that we cant concieve naturally , so at the end we decided to go to the Dr Cohen. He is just amazing listener and recommended that we do IUI procedure. He said at first that we have to go through iui and if it didnt work then we will move on to ivf. we are very thankful to Dr Cohen he is just amazing , so we started our first iui we go through many tests and the and we had to stop our first iui in March because of covid 19 ,I felt very bad but when they reopened in June I was on my cycle. My husband call them that we want to start again , they said us to come the second day so we did our first iui on June 24 , our first iui was successful on the first try. We are very thankful to Dr Cohen and Dr Tur-kaspa , because Dr Cohen did every test and checkup and Dr tur-kaspa did our procedure, Dr Cohen was not able to there that day thats why Dr tur-kaspa did our iui, both doctors are amazing and the last thing their team is very good , the nurses and receptionist they are just amazing, they gave me earlier time for ultrasound and blood work , now I am 4 months pregnant and very happy thanks to Allah and Dr Cohen🙏
I was able to see both Dr. Cohen and Dr. Tur Kaspa during my treatment at IHR. Both are very knowledgeable and compassionate and understand how hard fertility treatment is on body and mind. The staff always remembered me and really gave me the boutique/ private practice feel I was looking for— where I wasn’t just a number. Thanks for everything IHR.
I would recommend going to IHR for family planning. I’ve gone through 2 egg freezing cycles and soon to complete my final round. They are quick to respond and have made the whole journey safe, easier than anticipated (my personal experience) and successful.Things are a little odd with COVID since you meet with the doctors via zoom but once I figured out the structure I realized if I have questions you request a phone or zoom call or chat via their portal. Don’t expect to have an in person consultation when you are in the clinic. Those sessions are purely for monitoring and then you get a message or phone call later with the nurse or doctor to review next steps.Im telling all my friends about them. Especially if you’re lucky to have a good insurance plan I would highly recommend thinking about future family plans sooner than later since it’s more challenging the older you are.
We are so thankful to Dr.Tur-Kaspa , he made our dream come true! We were trying to get pregnant for 7 years with no success. I was referred to the IHR by my friend who already had her 2nd baby with the help of Dr.Tur-Kaspa . So I had positive attitude from the very beginning. From the 1st attempt we got our precious baby boy, which is almost 2 months old now . Thank you so much for your support, help and wonderful job , Dr. Tur-Kaspa and the whole IHR staff!
If you are queer, I would suggest looking elsewhere. My OBGYN recommend this office to me stating it’s super queer friendly. They have all the right things on their website but for me I want to see it in action. While scheduling an appointment on the phone the receptionist kept asking about my “husband” and using “he/him” pronouns even after I said wife, was using she/her pronouns and said her name which is a very female sounding name. To be me using inclusive language is just the basics for having a queer friendly practice and if they can’t even manage the basics I don’t even want to meet with them. I canceled my appointment shortly after.
My husband and I had been trying to conceive for almost 4 years with no success. I had previously gone to 3 other fertility specialists, (2 at Rush and 1 at Mount Sinai) who kept giving us the same “unexplained infertility” diagnosis even though we had many tests done. After 1.5 years of weekly acupuncture, over 1 yr. of chiropractic care, fertility massages, good diet, fertility teas, FAM charting, IUI, confirming ovulation days with test strips, among every other natural remedy out there (believe me I tried it all) we were finally encouraged by my OB to meet Dr. Tur-Kaspa. He not only gave us 2 medical reasons why both myself & my husband were factors but clearly explained my IVF worries and it worked on the first try! I now have a beautiful daughter, 8 frozen embryos and am doing testing before our first frozen embryo transfer for her sibling! He understood my fears, worries and the nurses always responded my questions. The early hours are perfect for full-time workers and the surgical center where procedures are done besides his Chicago office has always been professional and courteous. He never pressured me even though my employer paid most of the IVF bill as Rush did and explained he would do whatever I wanted but wanted me to know my likelihood of pregnancy naturally, with hormonal therapies and IVF given our history.
Dr. Tur-Kaspa truly delivers miracle works! He is absolutely the best in the field. He is so kind, compassionate and experienced, and he can make so many peoples dream of having a family become true. We are so lucky and grateful that we found him. God bless!
We think the world of Dr. Cohen. His unparalleled expertise coupled with enormous compassion made him the perfect doctor to guide us through our complicated fertility journey. In the midst of navigating breast cancer, Dr. Cohen worked collaboratively with our oncology team to create and freeze embryos for the possibility of a future family. Fast forward three years to when the timing was finally right, and we were able to have a beautiful baby boy. Our hearts are full of love and gratitude. Both Dr. Cohen and Dr. Tur-Kaspa are tremendous physicians and human beings.
Dr. Turkaspa is one of the best doctors in town. He is not only knowledgeable, but confident and very attentive. He caters each protocol to individuals need and circumstance. The staff is friendly and treats you like family. Most important - I am currently pregnant and going into my second trimester. Thanks to Dr. Turkaspa!
Do not recommend. Too much to go into here, but I wouldnt return here. They mislead on insurance coverage. Im at a different clinic now and Im shocked with how IHR handled everything in regards to insurance. Do not let them mislead you and tell you the procedures are not covered if you are actually going to stay there. Best of luck!
IHR is an Excellent Facility for couples struggling to conceive, me and wife after struggling for 16 yrs to conceive naturally in 2016 we started with Dr. Cohen he was Excellent didnt sugar coat our expectations because my wife was 42 yrs of age at the time, we ended up going through 2 cycles to get one healthy embroy we were pregnant September 2016 but November of that year we had a miscarriage were devastated we ended up leaving and went through 2 different fertility clinics in 3 yrs with no success from the last Facility we had one more embryo left that was frozen so last December while driving home from work IHR AD popped up in my Gmail I researched them back up and saw the two doctors made Newsweek magazine and National Geographic for their innovations in success of older women conceiving I talked to my wife saying it was Gods will bringing them back to us so January of 2020 we went for a consultation with Dr.Turkaspa and team and the first thing he asked why we didnt already have a baby, We already knew that answer Lol. after my wife went through some minor surgical procedures over the 7 months in August 2020 we went through a procedure called ERA (PAID OUT OF POCKET) in early September he transferred that 1 last embryo we had and SUCCESS WE ARE 9 WEEKS PREGNANT @! all success to IHR TEAM!! GOD IS GREAT 👍
Dr Cohen is the wonderful. He had encouraged me through out the hard times with multiple IVFs and never gave up on me. Now I am a happy mom with a healthy baby boy.
I am so much thankful to Dr. Tur-Kaspa, if not him and his staff I would not be pregnant now 🙏❤️ After almost 5 years of not being able to conceive , we finally got pregnant with our baby boy. I am blessed that I met Dr.Tur-Kaspa, he gave me that confidence that we will walk out of the clinic with the baby and made me believe that it will happen. So it did! The whole process took us 6 months exactly and I have become graduate 😁 To those who are struggling, please, don’t waste your time, it’s precious, sometimes we need someone’s miraculous hands (Dr.Tur-Kaspa’s ) to help God work in us ❤️
**This is review is for anyone considering working with this place as a DONOR**Ive done two donor cycles with this place, my first time was three years ago and the service was EXCELLENT!! Vernita was my coordinator and she was AMAZING, I defiantly felt like she truly cared about me, she was very organized and made the process very easy for me! The young ladies that worked at the front desk were very helpful and prompt! I had a wonderful experience the first time I went through a donor cycle here.I just completed my second donor cycle here and it was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I say that as it relates to the staff that they have now. The doctors are amazing, Vernita is still there and shes still amazing. But the office staff is TERRIBLE!! They have a completely different front office staff, Im sure the wonderful ladies that they used to have, have now moved on to real jobs. Theres a particularly NASTY woman named Vicky that works in the front, shes NOT helpful and extremely RUDE!! No one ever answers the phone, it just rings and rings. When I would call to ask to speak with a particular person, I would simply get transferred to their voicemail. The person that coordinates for the egg donors is Sue, and she is the WORST!! Shes NEVER available, she either hasnt made it into work yet, never made it into work or is unavailable. THANK GOD Ive gone through this process before and I kind of know better and what Im doing. If I was new, I DEFINITELY wouldnt be able to count on Sue to be available AT ALL if I needed anything or had any questions. Im puzzled as to why this chick even still has a job!?? Thats just poor management. Dr. Cohen spoke so highly of her, but I dont know why shes TERRIBLE. Whenever I needed to pick up my meds, I would get there and no one knew where they were, nothing was ready for my pick up, even though Sue would call me and tell me that she had everything ready for me to pick up!?. Several different people would be running around like chickens with their heads cut off all because Sue is a LIAR and unorganized. Or I would come in for testing (which is not every day) only to be told I need to come back the next day JUST to pick up medication!? Why didnt Sue have it ready for me when I came in for testing? Im sorry, but I live in the suburbs, I dont have time to travel back and forth to their office downtown on a daily basis for nonsense, just because I have an incompetent coordinator.**AVOID SUE AT ALL COSTS** Her lack of professionalism will only make you angry, and she will waste SO much of your time.
My experience has been wonderful. Dr. Turk asparagus is very knowledgeable and personable. His staff is the best. I love my IFV coordinator Sue. Such a sweetheart. I love Dr. T. too.
IHR is the best place to do IVF. Helpfull staff, specially the Doctor’s Kaspa and Cohen. Now we have our bundle of joy with us.. GOD bless this place. Hoping for more success in the future!
Just amazing team! Their care and service was beyond my expectations! Highly recommend Drs. Hammer and Wood Molo! Thank you again!
I had a long history of fertility treatments and other medical conditions. when I came to IHR to Dr Tur-kaspa with his professional help and knowledge and warm environment I got pregnant. Thank you!!
Best decision was starting my egg freezing process here, as a transgender(female to male) looking for the right place was important to remain comfortable through ought the whole process, staff here is so understanding and definitely made this experience much easier. Definitely recommend this place to those looking to start the journey.
Well, the admin side is horrendously disorganised. I filled out an their internet form requesting an appointment. A week later, they had not called me back, so I tried calling them. First time I called, nobody answered and there was no opportunity to leave a message. Second time I called, the person who answered said Im not able to schedule appointments. Unhelpful. I say ok, can you put me through to the person who can schedule appointments please? They say ill put you through to the billing department. Billing department says I dont know why they put you through to us, we cant schedule appointments! Well put you through to the front desk. Front desk doesnt answer the phone. Again no opportunity to leave a message. I have given up trying to become a patient of this clinic.
Bad vibes. Had an appointment scheduled for a month, I confirmed via text (which they confirmed they saw), then afterwards got a voicemail when I was on a plane for work that they canceled my appointment. Very unorganized.
Unfortunately I cannot give this place less than 1 star. The office is disorganized, they bill insurance incorrectly and never return a phone call. If you are not interested in IVF, they are basically done with you. Go someplace else...There are plenty of REs out there to choose from .
I did not proceed to make an appointment because the person at the front desk by the name of Glenda was unprofessional in Lacked basic knowledge of the fertility test process.
I cannot emphasis this enough RUN as far away from this place as you can. They have messed up every little thing along the way.
No follow-up
Dr. Tur-kaspa is amazing.
