I came in for a covid test because the site said that appointments before 2pm would have same-day turn around. When I got there, they said that PCRs would actually be 48 hours, so I got a rapid test as well. Turns out even the *rapid* test has 48 hour turn around time. It’s really irresponsible and unethical to advertise and promise rapid testing, hope they do better in the future.
The medical care I receive at AAYU is excellent. The doctors, nurses, and lab professionals are caring, careful, and knowledgeable. A policy that calls for rescheduling an appointment if you are 5 minutes late is appalling. We live in a city with transportation issues, and we are human beings who can be late. Our time is equally as important as the doctor’s — rescheduling can be extremely difficult. And even restaurants give 15 minutes grace. Be realistic.
I can’t thank Dr. Christine and the staff at Aayu Clinics enough for taking such good care of me. I walked in as a last appointment with breathing issues and coughing from having a severe allergic reaction and they kept me calm and breathing. They were kind, compassionate, patient, and thorough. Thank you for taking such good care and if me and my health!
First of all there was free parking the receptionist were very professional and neat. The outside office was comfortable and very neat as well. The intake personnel were very knowledgeable, very kind and I enjoyed working with them. My doctor was also very knowledgeable, and the procedure that I had the day was done very professional, and the rooms were extremely sterile And Wait was short!
Friendly & efficient staff & service. While visiting from out of town, I was looking for an urgent care facility close to where we were staying. This clinic was within easy walking distance. I received good care in such timely fashion!
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I have recently received at your hospital. The situation has been extremely frustrating, and I would like to detail the issues I have encountered.Firstly, I scheduled an appointment through the Zocdoc application. I received confirmation of my appointment in the system, but when I arrived at the hospital, I was told there was no confirmation and that my appointment needed to be rescheduled. Despite seeing my confirmation in the system, I was forced to accept a new appointment. When I finally attended the rescheduled appointment, I asked for the doctor who was supposed to see me, only to find out that the doctor could not see me because he only handles specific cases. Instead, I was seen by a nurse. However, my insurance reported that I was seen by the doctor, which is untrue since I never met the doctor. For the follow-up of my results, I attempted to schedule another appointment and was informed that there was no availability for an earlier date. However, a week later, I received multiple calls insisting that I could not be seen on the scheduled day and that my appointment needed to be changed again. Throughout this process, my appointments have been changed seven times, which is unacceptable. This type of management is inefficient and has caused great inconvenience and unnecessary stress. I request that you take the necessary measures to prevent other patients from experiencing similar issues. Additionally, I ask for an explanation as to why it was reported to my insurance that I was seen by a doctor when this is not true. This is not only an error but could be seen as fraudulent activity.I appreciate your attention to this complaint and expect a prompt response and an adequate resolution to these problems.
Those place was amazing! Friendly faces, pleasant bed side manner and interested in helping you get the mental, emotional and physical results you need to have an active and healthy life.
Great facilities and staff. I was seen very quickly for an urgent issue. The doctor I saw was very kind and helpful and informative. Definitely considering switching to Aayu clinic for primary care.
Id like to give them 5 stars, but theres always an issue trying to get my test results. Ive had to call several times to get my results each time Ive gotten tests done here. The most recent time, I never received my culture results (they didnt email them to me with my other test results and no test results appear in my patient portal for my most recent visit - its as if I wasnt seen here). That being said, Im happy they offer testing only appointments since most places phased those out. The staff are always nice and theyre always on time. The only other issue I had was an awkward moment when I declined having my weight taken. Its always up to the patients discretion to opt out of being weighed and I hope the staff receives training in this area so that patients can have a more comfortable experience.
Sent me paperwork to fill out before my appointment- I didn’t get to it right away. 1.5 hours before the appt I got a text saying “per our policy, you didn’t fill out the paperwork 2 hours prior to your appt, so the appt is cancelled.” There was nothing in the previous texts about the paperwork about this policy. I called, they were willing to put my appointment back on the schedule but were so rude I decided to cancel. This was a follow up appointment, there was no reason for all of the paperwork. Crazy policy, even crazier that its a surprise.
I made a telehealth appointment for a medication refill with them two days ago. I called the office three minutes before my appointment time because I hadn’t yet received a link for the appointment— the person who answered the phone told me that they had changed it to an in-person appointment without letting me know. I requested a courtesy refill of my medication while I wait for my upcoming appointment, which I will be unable to attend for another 10 days. They did not get back to me. I called twice yesterday requesting an update, and each time was told the providers hadn’t gotten to my request. I am physically ill without my medication, which is why I had made the refill appointment in the first place. I am extremely frustrated and feel like I’m being held hostage. Hopefully a public review will get them to respond and fulfill my request.
The patient assistant was very thorough and detailed about the results of my lab work. I was very pleased with the virtual session along with the follow-up suggested.
I havent been to a doctor in years. I dont like doctors offices, but I liked Aayu Clinic in Lakeview a lot. The staff was nice. They were informative and didnt feel judgemental. I felt seen and heard and I will definitely be using them again in the future.
I would give this no stars if I could I booked an appointment under there Psychiatry services reluctantly given that they seem mostly to be urgent care and the two are often unrelated but I took a chance because theyre in the neighborhood and had a lot of availability. It was the biggest waste of time they want you to get tested for five things when you only came in for one thing and they wont help you with the one thing you booked unless you pay for all five things but they dont tell you this before you come in. its a complete racket it was even more disappointing than I anticipated in the first place avoid
I sought out Aayu for primary care and mental health services. While the staff were caring and professional, my care and appointments were disrupted by a lack of consistent communication, responsiveness and follow through on the part of the lead doctor and medical director, Dr. Shinde. After meeting with me, he failed to follow up on treatment options and appointments, return communication, and even moved/changed already scheduled appointments with other providers at Aayu without warning or explanation. As a result, my care and access to treatment became so disrupted that I was forced to find care elsewhere.
This office is very disorganized and would not recommend unless you only need a quick appointment for primary care. I have been going here for over 7 months and had constant issues with the doctor office rescheduling appointments, rude receptionists hanging up the phone, forgetting to send the medication to the pharmacy, etc. I would look somewhere else if you need consistent care/medication.*UPDATE* - Aayu clinics promptly reached out to discuss these issues and did address each of my concerns. Im glad that Aayu clinics has a line of open communication and hope that this will experience will benefit other patients.
It’s been less than a year since I switched my primary care to Aayu. During that time I’ve had an in person primary visit with the PAs, 3 blood tests, and 2 virtual visits with the naturopath. Every single person I have encountered has been incredible compared to other care I have received prior. From the front desk staff to the nurses, PAs, and naturopath, everyone has been professional. Specially the medical staff has been absolutely wonderful to work with for my health care. Outside of Aayu Clinic, I have truly only trusted one other physician and I am so happy to have found this place! If you are looking for care, I highly recommend and have had such an incredible experience.Just to note, I have been working with the nautropath, Dr. Cureton. It has been absolutely incredible and pairing it with Western medicine has been truly impactful. Figuring out how hormones and other things happening in my body has really made a major impact on my health. Not only that, but Dr Cureton is a great listener, professional, and all around awesome to work with as a patient. I would absolutely recommend anyone working with her!
The psychiatrist I saw did not care at all, he spoke over me, explaining nothing in the process. For an office that is supposed to help people with mental health issues the whole ordeal of dealing with the doctors felt more like a stress test. The reception staff is the only redeeming quality because of how awesome they are.
I’m so beyond grateful for the team here. If I could give a billion reviews I would. I’ve never been made to feel so at home and cared for. As if what I was feeling truly mattered. The Aayu Clinic team and Doctor here has done amazing work! I feel so much better I walked in feeling defeated only to walk out feeling like a miracle. Thank you! Thank You! Thank You!
Front desk, nurse, and doctor were all friendly. They listened to my concerns and prescribed me some meds to get better. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Same day scheduling is great!
This place used to be great, but not any more. I continually get mis-billed and they say I didn’t pay my co-pay (I did and have proof) and now I have been ghosted by my my doctor for 3 weeks and thus experienced a problematic gap in medication refills. Would absolutely not recommend this place for anything more in-depth than an urgent care visit.
Wow I cant even begin to express in writing just how good I feel about finding this gem in my Lakeview neighborhood. The entire staff has make me feel like Im in good hands. Straight from the front desk to the doctors to the online video care. Its been amazing and Im really grateful to be under the care of Aayu Clinics.
Horrible. Advertised their service as psychiatric care but was just talked at for fifteen minutes about what medications would be best for me. Ended up leaving more stressed out and anxious than I was before. Felt like I wasn’t being listened to and will not return again.
I did a walk in for a wound and had an excellent experience. There was very little wait, the care staff was kind, knowledgeable, and caring. So glad the clinic is in the neighborhood!
I was denied an appointment because I was 9 mins late. After fumbling to put batteries in my hearing aides and bringing audio online the front desk informed me that I was late and needed to reschedule. There have been many times where I waited 45 mins in a room to be seen by a doctor. Which is normally no problem that’s why they have magazines in the lobby right? In this case it was a cold no, without any sort of consideration of my medical situation. Luckily it is just a blood sugar management session and metformin is easy to prescribe by other doctors. But how did the desk clerk know this? She didn’t. It was a cold no. I’m sorry but my health is more important than some purile elementary school rule. I cannot risk missing an appointment and being denied healthcare on a simplistic inconsistently-enforced or strict punctuality rule. If this were so important why are the doctors and care not punctual at all? It’s easy to see that the patients don’t matter here. This is a business even if it is health care. And I will take my business elsewhere since the risk is simply too high with Aayu Clinics.
Aayu was my saving grace in a time of need. They were able to get me in quickly and the nurse practitioner I worked with was wonderful.
The doctor is the best! I am already feeling better with my medication for asthma. The place is neat, nice music, the staff is amazing from the front desk lady, the MA, both phlebotomists, you are really greated with so much love and respect. 100% recommend this clinic thank you!
The staff are polite and the process to register is among the easiest for any doctors office. Great visits with caring doctors and nurses and staff.
The nurses were kind, took my concerns seriously, and went above and beyond to help me. It was one of the best walk-in care experiences I’ve ever had.
Canceled on me twice within two days, including once three hours before the appointment . The people answering the phones do not know their policies and when I talked to another representative she wasnt even sure why it was canceled. Literally go anywhere else.
Very professional and comforting as a new patient coming in. Made amends to make sure my experience was smooth!
I saw Kristine Kathure at the lakeview location and she is one of my favorites. Great bed side manners, listens to my issues and needs, and takes the time to explain whats going on and how each medicine prescribed will help. I always come back because of the excellent service and attention given. Thanks Kristine!
This place is a scam! They make u come back for multiple appts for no reason. They are simply trying to waste your time and your insurance money.
Ive been a patient at Aayu for a couple of years now. I started at the Wicker Park location and was usually seen be the same PA there. Im on PrEP, and I have to say I tend to always be more comfortable in discussions around this when working with someone who is also a part of the LGBTQ community. They were great and their phlebotomists always did a great job too (quick and painless). On my most recent visit (now at the Lincoln Park location following my move out of Wicker Park)I went in for urgent care instead of my regular PrEP visit. Id sliced open my thumb while cooking and couldnt get the bleeding to stop. Ross was my PA and he, too, made me feel really comfortable and cared for. As he cleaned up the wound with hydrogen peroxide he kept my mind distracted and asked me about the book I was reading and a few other topics. He got the bleeding to stop, got my wound more properly wrapped, and kept me informed on the proper aftercare I needed.Aayu has been great and Im glad Im able to use them for both primary care and urgent care needs.
The new naturopathy doctor Domique is awesome. Well informed of different ethnic herbs. Very thoughtful to assist with my journey to a healthy life
They are great, very efficient and knowledgeable! I was feeling sick and with a lot going around my office I wanted to cover my bases…they gave me rapid tests for 4 different respiratory illnesses, I came back positive for the flu within 10 minutes, and then they switched me to a telehealth appointment to tell me about medications to take and symptom management! Great experience!
Everyone here is very kind and patient. I avoided Doctors for about 15 years and I’m glad to find a spot that I feel comfortable with.
I have already recommended AAYU clinic to a friend and it was recommended to me by a friend.During my visit, the provider was very thorough and detailed. I was very impressed with his knowledge and experience.Another provider from the same clinic called me the following day, on a Saturday, over the long weekend, to give me the results of the tests and give me further details and instructions for my care.It would be normal to have to wait until the long weekend was over to hear back from the doctor’s office,so I was very pleasantly surprised.I felt that I was in very excellent care.
Was an extremely great experience. Everyone made me feel great and I will definitely make this my primary.
First time visiting this clinic, as a new patient the process was a breeze! Also, being a walk in patient. I did not have a long wait at all, I was in and out! The staff were all pleasant! The medical assistant was personal and made me feel at ease! The provider was also great! Definitely will be returning when needing treatment!
The doctor went through the results of my tests with me & explained the results, the effect it can have & how we will deal with the weak points
I usually dont have good experiences with healthcare in Chicago but I had to write a review for Aayu because my visit was really excellent. The receptionists were so accommodating and kind. They fit me into the schedule with so much kindness despite the fact that I was late. The nurse and doctor were probably some of the most intelligent health care workers I have had in the city. I feel like they actually new their stuff. I was seen and treated so respectfully. I reminded me of healthcare from years ago. Location was so clean also. Thank you Aayu for your great service!
Went in with a sick kid. First appointment of the day - so no one ahead of us. Typical flu symptoms, so he was tested for Covid and flu. 15 minutes later - told that he has flu and moved into a telehealth appointment which was disappointing, as I wanted his vitals checked. They did not take weight, temperature , blood pressure, Oxygen saturation, or any other basic health information. We were instructed to take the call from the car. We did not have a face to face with a doctor or nurse or PA due to risk of infection, however we sat in the waiting room waiting for results from the swabs. While I understand nobody wants to spread germs, there are protocols available to mitigate infection- such as rooming a sick person ASAP and using PPE so that care can be given appropriately with minimal risk to providers. I asked if this was in line with CDC protocols, and was told it was Aauy policy.
Had a great experience today, such professionalism. Thank you so much.
Top of the line service. Im grateful for them keeping me alive and breathing.I was in a bad way when i initially came to the clinic and while Im still getting treatment and new prescriptions i do feel much much better and on the riad to 100% recovery. Thank you AAYU clinic personnel.Once again (8/28) terrific service at AAYU clinic on School street. On 9/12/2023...Once again, terrific service. 4On 3/23/24. Excellent services as usual even with my blood test results being less than ideal. On 5/18/2024...Got severely dehydrated with the blood pressure dropping to 80 over 40 something. An IV drip later got me back to semi decent BP. Thank you AAYU Clinic for an outstanding job.5/20/2024...Once again an excellent visit at AAYU and this time the BP was normal.8/3/24. Excellent service once again.9/21/24. Ditto9/22/24. An in person visit with no appointment went extremely fast without any wait time. Talk about great timing.
Before today I only had Covid and flu testing here. Went in today for what turned out to be severe dehydration from being sick (and then immediately getting food poisoning). From the reception on, everything was very attentive and thorough. Most importantly, I felt listened to and cared for and cared ABOUT. Everything was explained, options were given, and they made sure to schedule a follow up. Definitely considering making them my primary in the new year
Great experience! Got an appointment the day I needed with little notice, super quick service, they made me feel comfortable and safe. Thank you!!
I called before visiting the clinic, and they confirmed that they accepted my health insurance. However, when I arrived, they told me the system was not working and delayed in checking my health insurance. I waited for 40 minutes, and when the nurse called me, I asked her to confirm if they had verified my health insurance. She told me they still didnt know. How can you call patients without confirming their health insurance, especially when I talked to the front desk multiple times about it? They wasted my time and could have put me in a situation where I had to pay out of pocket if I hadn’t asked the nurse.
Highly recommend. Great staff. Incredible bedside manner. Will use moving forward!
Great experience. Very professional. Will be back!
My appointment was at 4:30pm, I was told to get there 10-15 minutes early and I didnt see the doctor till 5:32pm.The whole time with the doctor lasted 20-25 minutes.Ridiculous!
I was traveling and needed care to continue my travel. At Aayu Clinic, staff was so caring and with deep patience they took care of me. The doctor immediately knew what I needed to be fit to continue my travelEvery details of the care was taken seriously at thr clinic. I am so glad I came to this clinic.I walked out of the clinic rejuvenated to new me.I recommend this clinic and ask you to go with themSHRUTI
This is my go-to Urgent Care facility - they are very professional, attentive to my symptoms, and they truly seem to care about my well-being 🥰 they treat me like a human being who is ill & not just a customer
This is the first time in a long time, since my family doctor of nearly 30 years has retired in 2019, that I have felt like my medical team truly cares about my health and well-being. The entire staff is friendly and caring. Dr. Shinde took the time to explain everything to me as a physician should. This group is now my PCP.
Amazing, clean, quiet facility with free garage parking. Easy to book a same day appointment (especially during a holiday weekend), and both of my insurances were accepted…Win! Win! Wait time was basically non-existent. They stagger their appointment blocks with appropriate timeframes. The all female staff were polite and attentive with amazing bedside manner. Their approach to healthcare is both discreet and inclusive: ranging from women’s health (general, maternity, and post natal), to gender affirming care, routine wellness/primary care. Will definitely use them from primary and urgent care moving forward.
I went to get a flu shot and had a 10:45am appointment. I did the paperwork online before I arrived so I was all set. I got there a minute before my appointment and checked in. There is no one on the waiting area and I see one person leave while I’m at the clinic. Twenty-five minutes after arriving, I’m asked to complete another questionnaire that are the standard flu shot questions. About 5 minutes later someone finally comes and gets me. There is no action in this clinic; no people going in and out. It’s completely dead. I complained that I was there for a half hour for a scheduled flu shot and I got this whole excuse about how they’re busy with other patients that are already back in the rooms. There’s literally no action going on in the clinic. They tell me they’re taking my vitals and I refused and asked just for the shot. They said it was policy but that they’d just waive it. They could tell I was definitely upset and annoyed. I told them I wouldn’t be returning again for immunizations. I got the shot and got out- that part took less than 2 minutes. Round trip from my house that’s 5 minutes away, I was gone 50 minutes. For a scheduled flu shot in an empty clinic. It was ridiculous.
Took my sick kid to get a Covid test on 8/26. Set up an appointment online for 11am. Showed up 5 min before. Waited for 50 minutes before they finally were able to see us. The tech said that there were a lot of patients and there was only one of them, but in the 50 minutes we were waiting, I didnt see anyone come out and 2 people in the waiting room that had appointments after us were seen before us. We were about to walk out, and I let them know it, and then magically they were able to see us. Very disappointed as this was our go-to spot for tests because they were normally very quick. Whats the point of scheduling an appointment if youre not going to honor it.
My first 2 appointments with Dr. Brian were cancelled the night before. The 1 appointment I had with him was great, but then when I was rescheduling our follow up telehealth appointment, the admin booked the wrong type of appointment. Of my 4 scheduled appointments, only 1 actually worked.Something clearly isnt working for this office, and its unfortunate because doctors like Dr. Brian are very hard to find.
Usually Aayu cancels appointments last minute, as they did late last night for an 8 a.m. appointment today (after I had moved my schedule around, given up paid clients, etc.). If they do keep an appointment, patients usually have a long wait, moved from room to room without much info about whats happening. I had a tele-health appointment set up last month to review blood test results - nobody showed up for ten minutes, despite repeated (and annoying) confirmations. I tried calling, texting and emailing all their offices that morning to find out what happened, but no response from anyone during that period for a confirmed appointment, so I never got to review results. But I certainly had to pay for them (despite them saying this is your FREE annual checkup). Patients have to fill out extensive paperwork for each visit, which takes a lot of time and they dont check and often dont know why youd made the appointment. Or its all for naught as they cancel last minute, like today. Hidden fees always pop up. Theres myriad online forms and tools, which are confusing, repetitive or just dont work in tandem. It takes lots of time and energy to get ready for these appointments that they then cancel last minute. The health techs on site are nice, but the overall organization is a mess, frustrating and dehumanizing. I went there to support Dr. Shindes daughter, a former student of mine, but I wont be going there again. Every visit has been a poor experience (lots of handshaking during the height of COVID, inviting an intern to participate in private exams without permission, much more). Considering filing a claim with the Illinois Attorney General for constant bad practices.
Covid tests were administered through a hole in a plexiglass window that was NOT DISINFECTED between patients. 😖 seriously grossed out.Intake was disorganized and took forever despite no one being there.
They barged into my examination room and let me know my insurance didn’t cover my annual physical. I asked if they could call them to confirm and they replied “No I can’t, I’m in the front handling walk in patients”. I called my insurance myself, asked her to speak with the receptionist at the clinic, and they still were doubtful. This place is very unprofessional and you could tell a patient does not come first.I’ve been coming to this clinic since 2019 and every time I feel like a new patient. I’ve never had the same Dr check me twice since I started visiting. The only reason I came here continuously was because I could walk there. Learned my lesson.
Had a great experience at Aayu Clinics in Lakeview. The team was so friendly and caring. They prescribed me medicine and gave me referrals that I needed for my issue. I am so grateful for their help today!
Would highly recommend. The staff here are very knowledgeable as well as kind. Monique and Lauren were so helpful throughout the entire process. The only clinic I will go to from now on.
Easy check in…great MA…very through and knowledgeable. Guided me through the procedure. The NP was fantastic, I felt he knew what he was doing. Engaging and I felt cared for. The two of them were a very professional, courteous pair of health care providers. I felt listened to and had my concerns addressed.
Great experience! Friendly, quick, easy. Highly recommend.
Overall good experience. Scheduling was super easy and much more convenient than going to a typical private practice. The appointment was exactly on time with no waiting. The Physician Assistant and nurses that saw me were knowledgeable, thorough and very professional. Lab work came back within a day and results were clearly explained to me. I will continue to use Aayu for annual physicals.
Aayu clinic made getting a rapid pcr test so easy. Everyone was extremely friendly and attentive. I really appreciated that they followed up with phone calls even though they emailed results. And then it was super convenient to be able to text with someone with questions and next steps. The nurse practitioner I spoke with was super personable. I was very pleased with my experience.
A complete waste of time. The reason for the visit was explained in detail prior to making the appointment. Drove 45 minutes found parking and waited to be seen only to be told they couldn’t help and they offered a referral. That could have easily been figured out in the conversation we had prior to the visit.
I had a very bad experience with this clinic, and I recommend that anyone who is considering seeing this place for any reason not go. Firstly, the clinic drug tests you every single time you have an appointment, which is insulting in its own way. What is the point of treating your patients like a criminal every time they want to receive care?I also have had a longer, much more frustrating problem with this clinic. I went here to get an evaluation for ADHD, and on my first appointment they required me to receive an evaluation for depression -- a condition that I told them up front that I had. Okay, fine, Ill get told that I have depression for the 100th time by a health care provider. Very helpful and useful application of my money and time. First appointment has ended, and they told me that I would have my actual ADHD evaluation in a follow-up appointment. At my second appointment (two weeks later), at the appointment in the doctors room (note: AFTER I had already paid my copay and my insurance had been charged) they told me that I would have to transfer all of my medications over to their office and they would be the sole health care provider for me if I wanted to get an ADHD evaluation from their office. Instead of calling me like normal, sane, empathetic human beings these people decided to put me on the spot and force me to decide between getting the health care that I need and retaining a medical provider that I had been seeing for months (Aayu was told, explicitly, that they would NOT be providing the script for any medications if I was diagnosed). They wanted to get their insurance charge, I guess. Truly scummy behavior.Well, at the appointment I requested my money back for the second appointment because I should have gotten care that I was not provided. They assured me that I would get my money back, and that I would not be charged for the appointment. The charge was voided, and money returned. Fast forward two months later and I receive a bill in the mail from their billing department telling me that the copay for the second appointment was due at the end of the month. I call their billing department to tell them about the problem, provide them with the email proof of Aayu voiding the copay, and they told me that it was voided. Then a day or so later I checked my bill and it had not been voided -- so I had to pay for care I never received, and am now in the place where I need to convince Aayu to return my co-pay and insurance charge all over again.Literally all of the above, my time, the admin. assistants time, the managers time to approve the refund, and the billing departments time could have been saved by just doing the normal thing and giving the patient a call when you decline to provide care. I feel really bad for the people without insurance who save money to visit a doctor only to find out that (1) they would not receive the care they were promised, and (2) they would still be losing the money they saved. They had two weeks to make the decision about whether they would provide me with the care I asked for and waited until just after Id paid them to tell me that they wouldnt help me.I implore anyone considering Aayu Clinics for care to go to another clinic. This place is not interested in providing transparent health care with their patients best interests in heart.
They were very thorough with their procedures and recommendation. Highly recommend.
They’re all very nice and but they require virtual appointments before getting refills for controlled substances (which I completely understand and have no problem attending) but I have yet to have an appointment where they are 10+ minutes late!! Today i had to call the office and after I’d been waiting in the virtual waiting room for 10 minutes. They never fail to send me 20 texts prior to my appointment to ensure I’ve paid my copay (for the appointment that hasn’t even happened yet) but I have to call and remind them that I’m waiting for my appointment?? It’s very frustrating as I’m usually scheduling around my work schedule/lunch breaks. I don’t mind attending appointments whether they’re in person or virtual but there seems to be a lack of punctuality and professionalism when it comes to virtual appointments.
Great job even though you all dont have therapists.
Never leave reviews. But feel like you should when you have a great experience. I came in being pessimistic, and left feeling positive. Isnt that all we want? Thank you for caring and giving me some relief. I will be happy to refer others
They have been helpful and attentive to my needs. The doctors and staff really listen.
Aaya Clinic doctors are very thorough and caring. They go the extra mile to make sure their patients get the care they need. They consulted with colleagues around the country and even searched for a specialist for my son themselves.
Amazing doctors, helped and guided me through resolving my issue
Excellent staff & treaters! Great system of scheduling…
I was quickly seen and it was a friendly, efficient experience with staff.
This has become my go-to covid testing site and they do a great job. professional, friendly, and courteous–plus they have same-day results if you test before 1pm.
I had a wonderful experience, quick and patient
I had to wait 1h 30 mins for a 5 min nurse visit! Unacceptable!
I too started going to this clinic because I could walk to it. Im entirely disillusioned now. Test results lost, incredibly stupid waits for virtual appointments (Ive waited upwards of 30 minutes after my appointment). Most of the PAs are nice, but there is one that is on my chart that Ive asked to never see again (and I have had to do virtual appointments with them since...).My medicine regimen has changed due to the one overlord doctor who thinks that they know my business when theyve never seen me - only my chart. (You wont see this doctor, only the PAs)
Staff was amazing, whole experience from beginning to end was just on point 💯💯💯💯
Hopefully Im just overreacting and this is not the case, but on my United Healthcare account I see almost $1,000 in claims that I owe in just under a month of visits.Went for an ADHD appointment, then went back to establish care. Had four telehealth calls as well. One was to review my lab. Was that necessary? No other clinic has felt it necessary to send any more than a message about my lab results. Then after my establish care appointment it was like pulling teeth on getting sent a prescription of blood pressure medicine that Ive been on for 5 years. There were two telehealth visits for that.Three appointments in 5 days.. Only to get a 30 day supply with no refills.I just want to go to a yearly physical, renew my prescription for a year and not have to worry about it any more. But on the bright side Im 2/3 of the way towards my deductible.
I am beyond frustrated about my appointment today. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude. She greeted me & then told me she was going to send me next door to get a covid test done. I asked her if I had to because I was confused… & she gave me the dirtiest look & answered the question sarcastically & with so much attitude. When I finally was seen, the nurse practitioner again, so rude. She wouldn’t prescribe me antibiotics even though I clearly have a sinus infection & then she refused to write me a note for work. I told her this whole experience has been horrible & that I’m going to go to a different immediate care. She said ‘okay you go do that’ with a smile on her face. I went to physicians immediate care a few minutes away, & they were amazing. Prescribed me meds & wrote me a note for 2 days off work. I don’t know what’s wrong with this place but it was awful. Also they clearly filter out their google reviews because their Yelp ratings are much lower and much more accurate.
Very punctual. We had a carload of family members that needed to receive COVID-19 testing. Young lady who did the intake was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, professional and very attentive to detail. She was able to identify discrepancies and address them so that we could get our results in a timely fashion. She sent several technicians to our car. These people were also very warm and friendly. They made our children feel quite comfortable with the testing. We highly recommend this facility.
I needed to go to an Urgent Care on Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Most other places werent open again until Tuesday and the other ones I found that were open dont offer timed appointments. The prospect of sitting for an hour or more was not how I wanted to spend my Sunday. Luckily I found Aayu. They gave me a timed appointment and I was in and out quickly. The staff were friendly and professional and the online registration made everything a breeze - no paperwork,- I was literally in and out in under 10min. I even paid my copay online before I walked in. So glad I found this place !
Predatory billing practices. I was charged a $275 facility fee on top of my basic COVID and flu test. I would have otherwise given this place 5 stars because the staff was awesome but I can’t justify being charged $275 for a facility fee.
All staff members I interacted with were friendly, helpful, and communicative. The scheduling has been easy & very quick - no long wait times either to schedule exams or in the waiting room. So far the quality of care has been good.
The most incompetent patient care team I have ever worked with. I needed paperwork for two very important imaging tests and they refused to send me the right SIGNED referral and order documents after several requests and communications. They just can’t seem to get it right. I also had to do a 24-hr urine TWICE and it STILL wasn’t accepted because of something that their lab tech didn’t do, which was properly time and date the sample after being asked multiple times. Don’t go here if you want quality patient care
I went to this clinic after feeling ill for a couple of days and they confirmed I had COVID. As an out-of-state patient, I had no issues and everyone I interacted with was professional, sympathetic, and helpful. They took care of me, provided me with treatment options, and were thorough with follow-ups. Id use this service as my primary care if I lived in Chicago.
Excellent service and care over here. They really help you relax and let things be. I felt comfortable and at ease during my covid test. Even though I tested positive, I felt confident and relaxed after my appointment. Forgot the guys name who took care of me, but he was excellent.
Kind and appreciable staff. I am looking forward to receiving care from them
This Clinic far exceeded my expectations. My own doctor was completely booked but I needed to seek medical attention. The staff was friendly the wait was short and the nurse practitioner (Dr. Christina) was extraordinarily smart with great bedside manner. She was also very thorough. Exactly what I needed for greater peace of mind and physical comfort. Highly recommend.
The woman who gave me my Covid test was great. However getting there and getting situated was not optimal. No one told me that there was parking inside of the space so I spent a lot of time looking for parking and paying for parking that I could’ve had free. There wasn’t clear communication about what to do when finding one’s self in a garage with signage, but no greeter. I am sure they are understaffed, but that was my experience. I felt confused and would have preferred an easier on boarding. The follow-up was great by text and email.Thank you for fitting me in so I could stay on my work schedule!
I have been a patient here for 9 years. I’m so frustrated with this practice for the past year it has gone completely down hill. They constantly send my script to the wrong location and I have issues getting my prescription half the time. Don’t bother calling them and do everything in the message app or changed to appointments won’t be updated/corrected. I’m sick of being given the run around with them and will be looking for a new doctor after this next scheduled visit. As someone who relies on a daily medication and it being filled properly/correctly for mental health reasons they should not make it this difficult. My last in person visit they just completely forgot I was in the room waiting for blood work. I had to walk out to remind them. They keep nothing saved on file and make me go over my history and type it in every single visit. Pre 2020 I would have recommended this practice to anyone, don’t bother now. They can’t keep staff and it’s a constantly new faces of people who generally don’t know what they’re doing.
Had to take my 3yo daughter for a COVID test. It was easy to get a same day appt. Super simple process - we drove into the garage, and she was able to stay in her car seat the whole time. The staff was very friendly and helped make my daughter feel as at ease as possible given the circumstances. We had the results within 2 hours via email (negative, phew!!). Would highly recommend.
Rapid results were fast, but experience was not great. Went to get a test to attend an event and did not have Covid coming in but may have it now leaving. Was very surprised to find the place with no ventilation or open doors in the garage on a nice day. Many people standing inside or sitting in their cars with the windows rolled down due to the heat who were clearly very ill. Slow process with little regard for safety. The staff even removed their masks to speak off and on. Will not be back it did not feel safe.
I went today four medical consultation.Dr. Christina was so freaking amazing she went beyond what she needed to do. She took such good care of me she made me feel comfortable. She answered all my questions she even asked me more questions. She would not stop looking until she would get an answer for what was going on with me..I’ve been to an urgent care clinic once before and I have never ever been taken care of like I’ve been taking care of at this location. I highly recommend to come here at the Lakeview location and to see the medical staff. Even the young lady they took my blood amazing amazing I didn’t feel anything this is a great staff
Super convenient, quick, and safe testing procedure for Covid-19 testing. Made an appointment online, pulled into the parking garage, and did the 5 minute symptom screening video call.Less than 20 mins later, both me and my roommate had been tested and were good to go. I did the rapid test and got my results back within 30 minutes.Thank you for the fantastic job, Aayu Clinic Lakeview!
They were very professional from beginning to end. The lakeview location wasn’t easy for me to navigate, but the front desk was very helpful and check in was a breeze.I waited a few minutes in line (in my car) and the test was over in less than 30 seconds. Overall a great experience, and I’ll use them again should I need to get tested again.
Ive only ever been here for COVID testing and I had a great experience each time! It is really clean and spacious inside the garage, and they were really efficient. I was able to get my results back fairly quickly even given the recent spike in demand.
After trying (insert exhausting list of medications, online gimmicks I mean clinics, and various meditation apps and therapy spanning nearly a decade), this is the place that finally made me feel like myself again. They are very attentive, responsive, supportive, flexible and extremely convenient with scheduling via text/email/online portal. Needless to say they are adaptive to your needs and the world around you. It’s nice to have an institution that prioritizes your mental health, providing a full scan upon every visit before moving on to your physical and more concerned with your well-being than the company you’re insured by. After five years of living in Chicago it’s safe to say I’ve finally located my PCP — thank you, Aayu of Lakeview.
I’ve truly never gone to a doctor that sat, listened to me, asked relevant questions and didn’t make me feel like I’m being silly with my concerns. And the fact that Dr. Jay didn’t throw any antibiotics my way is also a big plus! Truly though, if nothing came of my appointment (which I highly doubt will be the case) I think they deserve 5 stars for taking medicine to such a humane and “alternative” approach. And i use quotations because it’s so silly that it’s not the norm. Listening to your patient for an hour and not rushing them out after 15 minutes says a ton about the clinic and their amazing staff. I look forward to making them a regular part of my wellness!Wanted to throw in a quick edit: it’s been 6 months since I started working with Dr. Jay along with an acupuncturist he referred me to and I truly feel so much better already. My stomach doesn’t blow up to the size of a beach ball anymore, I’m sleeping way more than I was before, my skin is looking better than it truly ever has and just feel better overall. So grateful to his approach and patience, and for the time I took to make myself feel better!
Experience was ok. The ladies were nice and quick. The Garage was a bit hot though. I took my PCR test for my trip to Barbados on Saturday and still waiting for results as of 1 am Monday (Day of Trip) I believe everything will work out and Will I’m expecting to receive my email any moment now. I am grateful.
Majorly disjointed experiences. Had a specific issue I needed to have addressed and made this clear before making the intial appointment. Came to discover that their system (which I understand) was not at all a good fit for me, despite being assured they could assist. They split multiple mental health issues into separate appointments and rechecks, completely removing any cost benefit when compared to a traditional psychiatrist. On each occasion I was seen it was a different person who I needed from reiterate my history and needs to. Zero continuity. Also, both times I had a virtual appointment I was left waiting, and had to contact the office myself to find what was happening. My lab results were simply sent to me with a brief consult about results where I was told green is good and red is bad, and they tried to charge me 125$ after being told repeatedly it was an uncharged quick chat. Again, I understand that this practice has a different approach to medicine but I have felt totally confused and underwhelmed by the quality of communication and treatment from the start. Cannot recommend, unfortunately.
Was actually a great process getting covid tested here. The front desk admin support answered all my questions in advance over the phone and were very accommodating. When we got there for our appointment, it was quick and easy as we were the first ones in the am. Nurses came up to the car and were very accommodating to conduct the test and it wasn’t as awful as I expected it to be. Thank you aayu clinic!
Amazing stuff, nurses and doctors! Very patient, helpful and caring! I took my daughter there on Saturday right before they were closing and even that they are not pediatric immediate care- they took good care of her! I definitely highly recommend Aayu Clinic as one of the best in the neighborhood and around!
I didnt have to have a car to do this appointment (drive in Covid. test) I didnt have to wait long. The telemed session was thorough and the tester came shortly after. She was gentle in her testing, not anything like the stories I had been told about discomfort. She gave me the expected time frame for results and then, graciously let me use the Ladies Room and wait inside for my ride to come. (Rental car broke down on the way, had to get an Uber to get to the appt on time.) Very pleasant people (telemed person, tester, receptionist) and very pleasant surroundings. All in all, I was quite satisfied with the experience. Heres hoping the results are negative so I can travel this weekend.
This place was amazing! The staff was so kind and comforting. And for the women like me that wait 1-2 months for a gynecologist appointment, this place can do almost everything they can! (including pap and prescribing birth control) And I scheduled my appointment the day before. HIGHLY recommend.
Have to say Im pretty disappointed. I paid for a rapid covid test. I was told I would receive the results within an hour. I have not received those results and they are now closed for business for to day. In addition I was scheduled for an appointment but not seen for half an hour after my appointment time. In addition I was told by the office that the results of my nasal swab (I did both the rapid test and the longer nasal swab) would be available in 48 to 72 hours but the person who administered the test told me it would be 3 to 5 days so they need to get their story straight. The staff was very friendly and helpful, But I didnt get what I paid for and that irritating.
Very good service. They were very communicative throughout the process (text and telephone) and understanding when I didnt want to give out my SS# by text. Staff was very responsive and gentle during the procedure. 10/10 would get swabbed again.
After the virtual check up, I got seen fairly quickly. Every thing went smoothly, although there was a lot of (empty) cars parked in the drive up COVID testing spaces with only one spot left for me who actually was getting tested. Also the women there giving out the test are so patient and kind. They all are so great and deserve large raises.
The virtual visit prior to the test was great. The nurse practitioner was very nice, friendly and professional. My husband and I arrived early and they took care of us right away. The nurse practitioner explained the process and procedure. The attendant who came to perform the nasal swab was very friendly and very professional. She took care of my husband first and then she took care of me. I really recommend this place.
They made my experience amazing. Both front desk staff and the NP I saw were amazingly kind and answered all my questions before I could even ask them. I’m looking forward to having them as my PCP!
I can not trust their ability to treat patient. I drop weight on my toe. I went in and doctors and staff were super nice. They sent me to imaging center for x ray. I had to go in again next day for result. They said my toe is not broken. One week passed and I was still in pain. I saw another doctor and my toe is broken. I walked around and worked with my broken toe for one whole week.
My review refers only to the Covid test since that was my only experience. When I arrived at the garage, nobody told me to follow the instructions posted on a wall near the clinic door, so I wasted my time just waiting on the other side (why dont you tell the walking people to follow the instructions as they enter and maybe greet them too?). The instructions ask you to go to a website, do a video appointment and then call another number to confirm you are there.I think it can be better organized in an easier way like other stores/clinics.
I went to Aayu Clinics for a simple checkup and to talk about a specific concern. Booking the appointment was simple. Interactions before the appointment via text and email were not a hassle. The people I spoke with were kind and professional, speaking to me plainly but not with condescension. I left the facility feeling like a human who was cared for, not like a number being shuffled about.
As a new resident of Chicago I was delighted to find a clinic that offered an appointment on a Sunday afternoon with a two days notice. They certainly lived up to their name. The service was outstanding: both professionally and in terms of personal rapport. The manager, Sharlene, went out of her way to manually enter my COVID immunization record in the Illinois registry. As a result I was able to obtain a Health Smart Care within days of the visit. This will prove invaluable for my international travel. Thank you all, and Sharlene in particular!
Things started off a bit rocky, but once I got my appointment confirmed everything else was great. I needed some specific paperwork filled out, and I got my results SUPER fast and they were able to tailor the visit to my needs. I was really impressed.
Staff attentive, professional, and kind. They got me in and out quickly, and the follow up calls and emails came exactly as they said it would. A great experience especially considering that I wasn’t feeling well.
The doctor was so wonderful and so caring also told me to come back if I needed help with any of my health care concerns. Wonderful staff as well.
Blood tech Maria was super accurate, polite & kind! The ladies @ the front desk were prompt & polite as well immediately upon my arrival. I was quickly processed making my COVID antibody testing experience a breeze. Thank you all for such professional service!
The folks at the Lakeview Aayu Clinic could not have been nicer! I got stuck in traffic and then went to the wrong location so I was 40 minutes late, but they very patiently helped me get there and squeezed me in! The person who did my covid swab was also very friendly and nice. I couldn’t believe how kind everyone was, especially as I’ve recently run into service people at several places who were mean for no reason. These people, on the other hand, had every right to be very annoyed but they were still as nice as can be. If I could give this places 6 stars out of 5, I would!
I think everyone should go here for the Covid Testing. They have it really together. Great follow up. Easy in and out. I didnt catch the person who gave ours test which I regret. ( Terrible of me) but he was amazing, funny, personable and such a nice person. Everyone was helpful and kind from the beginning to the end. This is our 2nd time there. My daughter needed testing to be allowed back in school. It was quick and they were all helpful. Nice an friendly staff. In and out. Plus they had the swab test which is great for kids. This is my place for testing. ;)
The appointment was easy to schedule online. Once we arrived, we were able to do our quick virtual check-in and then the nurse came out, performed the test which seemed painless for my daughter and we left. Would use them again if needed.
The facility is clean, the staff is friendly and the physicians are personable, they listen, and are consistent with the follow up to help you get BETTER. Ive ALREADY given their information to two of my girlfriends because we need places to go that cater to our lifestyles and needs, so PLEASE try them out!
My appointment went well as the nurse practitioner was organized and worked efficiently. However, when I had mentioned that my fiancée was also getting COVID testing she asked what his name was. As someone who identifies as queer and is dating a non-binary women, this made me feel uncomfortable to have to out myself and correct her. I would’ve preferred the nurse practitioner being gender inclusive and asking what his/her/theirs names was (were.) I think the staff could use a little more information / training on gender inclusivity but the visit was positive!
I was kind of skeptical at first as I drove into a garage because I did not know what to expect. There were clear delineated instructions for what to do next on a sign. The technician who took care of me was very gentle with the nasal swab’s only she didn’t tell me goodbye or have a nice day so I didn’t know if there was more of the tests to do so I waited until I noticed she wasn’t coming back then left. I would Recommend this place because it was fast and same-day service.
I recently visited this location for a free Covid test. I did rapid but they also offer antigen tests. (I was exposure and symptom-free and needed a fast result.) Online appointment, confirmation/communication via text, and the video pre-screening were just as easy as the on-site test.Highly recommended!
Aayu Clinics has always taken great care of us! They do a wonderful job in all areas and are a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!
This place is a total sham if anything. Back in April I was only in there to see the nurse practitioner for less than 45 minutes and did get some treatment however the front desk staff either never scanned and copied my medical insurance card or did not input the correct information because I received a bill for over 500 dollars. Since then I have been back and forth several times with their billing department who are beyond incompetent rude and could care less about my frustrations of this issue. I had to have my insurance company Cigna call them directly to do a conference call with a rude woman named Liz who works in the billing department to try to rectify the issue. She blamed me and said quote your insurance is confusing us because we think it isnt Medicare. If this doesnt get solved I am gonna go public or get an attorney. Id keep a good eye on these folks.
Wonderful experience all around. I cant believe Im saying this about a COVID test but it couldnt have been easier, everyone I dealt with was nice and professional, wait times were minimal. I did the PCR and wont have results for days but that is due to the nationwide shortage, not specific to this office. The test was mildly uncomfortable but completely painless.
The environment is amazing! So welcoming and very clean. There are refreshments in the lobby as well! I was nervous coming here after some of the other reviews but they accepted my insurance with no copay. I went around 2 on a Thursday and was seen within 10 min and out in 30. Super quick and made me feel really good about trying this urgent care!
Terrible scheduling system via text. Hard to get a real person on the phone. First time I spoke to a real person was during prescreening via phone which answered my questions and confirmed my appointment for antibody test. Ill probably change my review depending on my in-person experience but very frustrating scheduling experience with their outside vendor. My experience taking the antibody test was actually very good. Quick, efficient, they took every precautions necessary in the midst of COVID-19.Updated from 1 star to 3 stars.
I had a 6:45 appt for a Covid test but arrived early (around 6:15) and they took me early. I only waited a few minutes. They were very nice and professional. The test was quick and not as uncomfortable as I anticipated. Thank you to everyone who is working on the frontlines with covid testing and treatment!
My family had a great experience at the Lakeview clinic. Drive thru services were efficient and quick. We were able to make a same day appointment and receive our rapid test results in under an hour.
We met very nice people, professional and willing to make it as fast as possible. There was some delay but I don’t think it is a big deal, since I was expecting more wait for this test in general. We booked, went and were tested the same day. Thank you!
The staff were friendly and helpful. The process was quick and I got my results same day for the antigen test. This is a good place to go if you need a Covid 19 antigen test in order to travel.
Having taken COVID tests at several facilities, I can confidently say this was the most inefficient. Mandatory online registration and scheduling should have streamlined the process, but it was superfluous outside of booking a time. Upon arrival 15min ahead of time as advised, I was told I was too early for my appointment. I had to then follow guidance at the clinic to sign in and register on an external website. I then had to wait to get a video call from an off-site provider to verify my information (all while at the clinic location). After that, I had to then call the number of the clinic (where I sat) to inform a tech that I had completed a call and was ready for a swab. Why none of this registration or verification could happen on-site is lost on me. With only 1 other person waiting, this process took over 40 minutes to execute a rapid test. For reference, all other locations Rush, Curative, CVS executed this entire process in 5 minutes.
Dr. Berneir was great. He took a genuine interest in my case and gave me a sense of confidence that he will help me.
I am very relieved that I found Aayu Clinic. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. Dr. Jay is an exceptional and a passionate doctor. Dr. Jay patiently took the time to listen to my concerns and I feel assured that he has created a viable plan of action on my behalf. I am excited about the road that lies before me as I entrust my doctor with my health.
Super fast patient care with friendly nursing staff and providers. The nurse practitioner I saw was very approachable and her diagnosis was spot on. I was able to make a same day appointment online and fill out my pre appointment paper work at home. Once I was there, I was seen within 10 minutes. The nurse practitioner was so kind and empathetic for what I was going through the past week. Excellent bedside manner. I will definitely be back with any future urgent medical issues.
Extremely insensitive and not thorough. I was told in an appointment that lasted around 10min total, “Well, I have other patients to get to.” Essentially, “I can’t think of anything else off the top of my head and, therefore, would like you to leave.” I understand that the two options I was given by this physician, within a few moments of meeting me for the first time, didn’t work for me. It may have been frustrating for them to have to try to think harder and brainstorm further potential avenues for me, but if both the easiest solutions don’t work, you have to try again. I would hate to have someone blatantly disgrace my work performance on the internet, so I don’t typically do this. I only say this because I was very upset with my situation and I implore this office to go through trainings or some other avenue to improve patient relations. I was already visibly struggling and this office made matters worse. Even if they had referred me to a counselor to help cope with a lack of solutions, that would have at least been SOMETHING. Instead, they did nothing to help. There seemed to be no desire to be comprehensive with care. It’s very disappointing at a vulnerable time, which unfortunately seems to be a trend in the medical field at certain offices. I honestly feel so much more stressed and upset now, I wish I hadn’t come here.
My first visit went very well and I had a positive experience! I scheduled a second appointment but an hour and a half before the second appointment, I received a text message from Dr. J asking if I could reschedule. Yes, okay... but “I’ll get back to you when I check my schedule” never happened. I reached out but didn’t receive a reply for a couple days, but the reply that came was offering times I had already explained would not work. I reached out again after waiting a few days - I have never heard back.
Everyone at this clinic was so helpful and accommodating. Really took the time to answer all of my questions. Had blood drawn and the nurse did a phenomenal job, barely felt it. The doctor was very thorough and patient explaining everything. I highly recommend going here.
The process ran smoothly as long as you read the directions posted on the wall after you drive into the garage. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and demonstrated professionalism. Thanks to the nurse that took my call and the technician who performed the test, that tickled my nose. 🤗
Took my almost 2 year old for a rapid Covid test. It was his first time getting one done. I was extremely nervous. But the lady was so gentle and nice. Thank you. Highly recommend.
Ive been a patient here for about one year. Ive had four appointments. I am ostensibly under the care of a physician, but I have never met him. Every time I go in I am seen by a PA. They have typically been perfectly fine, but I am under the impression that there is not a doctor on the premises unless ones got a compelling reason to be there. Seeing/meeting patients does not seem to be a compelling reason.Their online scheduling portal is abysmal. Every time I try to schedule a televisit to fill prescriptions, I get a call telling me that I need to come in person, because all new patients need to come in person for their first visit. This is not my first visit, I explain. I clicked the schedule a returning televisit button, I explain. Then, once I have confirmed a televisit with the receptionist I called, I receive no confirmation through text, email, or call. The receptionist seems to have no information about me as a patient when she calls me. I guess that at least means they arent violating HIPAA.Their patient portal is also essentially nonfunctional. There is a section in there where you are supposed to be able to schedule appointments, though it just returns an error message when you try to use it. Attempting to click on posted lab results also returns an error message. This portal is basically completely useless to me as a patient. For your initial visit, you are told to fast so that they can get bloodwork as part of an initial physical. This comes after a five minute meeting with a PA. The whole thing seems designed to bill your insurance as much as possible.
Flawless and painless experience! Found this place doing a Google web search looking for a free place. Booking was super easy, location is near the brown line, and there was no charge if you don’t have insurance. And the lady who did my test was just the sweetest and most kind human. Thank you Aayu clinic!
Had a very positive experience. Looking forward to continue my treatment at Aayu Clinic. Staff was very understanding. Made me feel very comfortable. Will definitely refer others! Thank you for being there for so many of us suffering from anxiety & other mental issues during this time! 👍
Drove up to the red garage door thinking that I would have to wait for someone from the clinic to let me into the parking area To my surprise the door has a sensor to let you in. Once inside parked my vehicle in their numbered. Parking spaces. You text your message to the number that they postedQuick response from them. My whole visit was done within 10 minutes. All my questions where answer with courtesy, politeness and professionalism.
I dont know what has changed here over the last year but this place has taken a serious wrong turn. When trying to make appointments I get sent to voicemail, during business hours, multiple days in a row. They have never returned a call when I left a message. My last several appointments were scheduled incorrectly (wrong purpose of appointment). Ive been left waiting in an exam room for over an hour and had to walk out of the room only to find they have forgotten I was in there. Most recently, it took 4 days of calling to get an appointment for blood work only to show up and be told they cannot do it because the specialist they sent me too ordered the tests, not their doctors (I discussed this specifically when making the appointment). Two years ago I would have recommended this place to a friend but not anymore.
The worst! They are either not honest or extremely poorly run.Went in on a Monday morning, 11:30am. Was told 20-30 minutes. 75 minutes later they were still telling me 20-30 more minutes before I can be taken back. Though I am sick I had to leave because I couldnt wait that long (with no end in sight). If they were honest, I could have went somewhere else but they werent so I didnt and dont know what will happen.I asked why was the original time so misleading and they said they have no way of knowing how long other patients would take. After years of being in operation, this establishment doesnt have a better grip of what a wait time will be (105 minutes is not even within the ballpark of 20-30 minutes).Plus they were playing very loud rock in the waiting area, which I normally enjoy but not when very sick. When I asked the other patients if I could turn it down they all said that they would be happy if I did! What is management thinking?!
The drive through COVID testing process in Lakeview was very poorly planned and implemented. The telemedicine appointment was late, once completed you have to call a number, they didnt answer and it went into voicemail for 15 - 20 minutes, finally after the 10th or 11th call someone answered. They sent a person out for the test me while I was in my car. The whole process should have taken 10 minutes instead I was there for 45 minutes completely confused about what the next steps are. I would highly recommend against using their service unless of course you like utter confusion.
Scheduled a Covid test here and everything was smooth and went well! The lady I spoke to on the phone for the telehealth was super kind and informative. Instructions were easy to follow and the nurse that did the test was very kind and professional as well. Thank you Aayu Clinic! Stay safe everyone! :)
It was a quick drive thru once an appointment was set up on the portal. The staff had great attitudes, and really made my 10 yr old more comfortable. They eased our minds, and said we’ll know soon enough. Great swift service. Thx
Ive visited this locations covid testing site twice now and have been very pleased with the services both times. Friendly staff, simple booking/pre-screening process, well-spaced chairs in separate, covid-testing-only waiting area, and have not had to wait long for test results.
Absolute worst experience. I got in touch with them about 9 months ago for COVID test. I told them my insurance information and sent them a copy of my insurance card. I was told that my insurance covers the cost of COVID test and in the next few months, did my COVID test there. Three months ago, the bill started appearing. They are charging me for COVID tests. After spending a very very long time, I found someone on the phone and let them know about their mistake with my insurance info. They said since the service is for COVID test, I do not have to pay anyway. But in a few weeks, they sent me more bills. I got in touch again. I waited on the line trying to reach someone on the phone for hours and couldnt. Sent them an email and still after a few months, I am receiving bills from them for my COVID test. This is an absolutely horrible experience. I have wasted so many hours trying to deal with them and still they are charging me.To be clear, all my issues have been with the billing department. I had no issues with the staff at this clinic.
Very friendly, fast service for my sons Covid test. They offered both the nasal and the mouth swab due to his age (we chose the mouth swab) and they were very good with making him feel comfortable!
This was our first time using this site for a Covid test, after friends and family saying how well-run it is. They were right! I took two of my kids here (7&9yo) and the health screener call person and the testing person were both so lovely and kind. It all went very smoothly. I took one star off my review because I feel like there was a miscommunication in between the video call/screener to when the tech came out to administer the test. The guy on the video call asked and we said we wanted the nasal swab/rapid test - that my kids had had that done before and would be ok with the discomfort of it. But the tech did a cheek swab and when i asked she said no, we dont do nasal for kids. Not a huge deal but i was hoping to get rapid results while waiting for the more accurate results a couple days later. I might have gone somewhere else with more convenient time availability if i wasnt going to get a rapid - that was part of why I chose this site. Anyhow, I still recommend. :)
Ive been coming here for almost a decade. Its not perfect. Some of their new technology like the text messaging and payment systems can be a headache more than a convenience, and you have to listen to 10 minutes of covid testing automated talk every time you call them... BUT they get 5 stars from me because of the amazing care Ive received! The NPs and PAs always go the extra mile in making sure I get the care I need. They err on the side of caution and take time to discuss things with me. That caution recently likely saved my life from a dangerous condition. Just today, my provider spent extra time calling the doctor and calling an imaging place to make sure I was taken care of properly. That care, along with the convenience of walk-ins and fast appointments, keeps me coming back.
Had a great experience overall. They were able to schedule me in a pinch over the weekend for an immediate care visit. Staff was friendly and helpful. Providers were thorough and had great bedside manor.
I had a wonderful experience going for my COVID testing at Aayu Clinics’ Lakeview location. The staff, nurses, doctors, and COVID frontline workers were very professional and courteous, taking the time to answer any questions or address any concerns I had with the testing. I am eternally grateful to all of you for the care extended to myself and many others during this pandemic. Keep up the great work!
No greeting when I entered. Facility was supposed to send a link for a prescreening interview; this was not sent. They realized this after probing me twice about it as though I neglected pay attention to some link that they never sent in the first place. A patient was allowed to be seated while I was asked to wait in the entryway for an hour. In their defense, I was super early but it would have been nice if they had a space where people could sit and social distance. Im an elder.... standing for an hour at a time was uncomfortable but I endured it.On the other hand, the lab technician that administered the COVID test was very cordial and professional. She
Ive gotten 2 covid tests and a booster at Aayu and every time I have been there its been great! Super quick and easy, they always have availability and everyones friendly. Covid tests and booster shot were free. Couldnt recommend it more!
Unorganized, very poor experience. Wrong instructions about the ability to park in the garage (on phone, booking and website) but they don’t allow to park. No confirmation message, no picking up the calls. Phone system is completely automated with long useless talk, and no real human interaction. Less than one star rating, if I could. Avoid!
The Lakeview testing site was easy to wait in with their garage. We drove there during a snow storm and waited for our appt after in their indoor garage. While we did our check-in virtually. COVID testing went very smoothly and safe.
I scheduled a COVID test here 3/2. They have a heated parking garage that I drove in to and completed a virtual screening appointment on my phone when I arrived. Shortly after, someone came out to complete the COVID test. It was super fast and easy, and all the workers were really kind!! I always like when they do the COVID test for you, because I dont trust myself to do it, and they did it with a lot of ease.
I am so happy my friend referred me to them 5 years ago. They are awesome. Besides the great care, they actually will call me and email me to make sure Im feeling better (if I came in because I was sick), they will email me to make sure Im taking my Iron. Love that extra care. Also, they have a heated, free parking garage attached. I never wait more than 30 min. They allow walk in. They can do Xrays, take blood, etc., besides normal appointments. I wont go anywhere else.
Great experience! I went to the clinic for COVID-19 testing, and everything went very smoothly. The staff was very proactive in getting all of my details leading up to the appointment so that the test was quick and easy. Process was very safe and secure.
Very friendly staff, and excellent experience all-around! The PA who saw me was very thorough, and the wait time was extremely reasonable-- although I went VERY early in the morning, so Im not sure if this applies during the day and in the evening hours. But if you have a good insurance plan and need to seek medical advice, this is the place to go-- free parking for patients, TVs for waiting in the examining rooms, and a very clean atmosphere as well. Two enthusiastic thumbs up ;)
Very smooth process for Covid-19 tests. They hold a telehealth appointment to discuss any symptoms/medical history and then schedule the in person swab within 24 hours. The next day I pulled into their garage and was swabbed within a matter of 10 minutes, very easy!
I really liked the provider there, so it’s a shame the rest of my experience was bad. I gave a urine sample and they lost it. Fine. I went back to give another urine sample to make up for the lost one, and they lost it again. I understand Covid is the main concern at the moment but how unorganized do you need to be to lose two urine samples??
I stopped by this week with the need to have some acute cold symptoms addressed. Registration process was smooth and I was with a doctor within 30-40 minutes. As a first time visitor to an immediate care clinic, I was pleased with the service and professionalism. I would definitely return.
Just had my second Covid test here - the first one was super uncomfortable (feels like they are scrubbing your brain) but the nurse/doctor was SO KIND. She thanked me for getting tested, explained the process, really great. The second time wasnt nearly as uncomfortable, and the nurse explained that it depends on the swabs available, and again, this person was so kind. I love Aayu.
I was brought to this place because I was displaying early stages of Lyme Disease.Speed: For just walking in, I was surprised how fast they tried treating people. The physicians will try their best to make that line move fast, and it shows. Though there might be busy times, the overall mood is like clockwork.Service: Very friendly staff. They know how to keep a sick person happy with a friendly attitude and concern for my well-being. They know their stuff and will tell you what you need to know. They will answer all my questions. They have an onsite Quest Diagnostics lab, which I think is a great concept because they dont have to spend too much money or effort doing blood work themselves.Atmosphere: The waiting room has free snacks and drinks! Its so simple and effective. I get off of work and skip dinner to get to this place, the snacks definitely tide me over until I get treated. Once youre past the waiting room you go into the main area, and they play great music there.Im sure other immediate care clinics are fine, but I definitely liked this one. I have no qualms about it thus far.
This was a wonderful experience from beginning to end - booking the appointment, holding the virtual check-in session and getting the COVID test. It was my first time getting tested and the technician was VERY kind and gentle. I highly recommend this clinic!
Loved Joanna on the phone. She helped me perfectly. The wait was only 10 minutes and the Covid test was easy and fast. Simple directions on what to do when you arrive. I will only be going here to get my Covid tests!
It was easy to setup an appointment. There was very little weight time, and the doctor took her time to explain everything to me and answering any questions. I also had no trouble getting my prescription after the visit.
My fiancé and I needed a COVID-19 test for international travel so we scheduled appointments with Aayu Clinic. The service was amazing! The nurses were very attentive and informative. They actually offered for us to take both the Rapid antigen test and the PCR test in case the country we are traveling to wouldn’t accept the Rapid test. We received our Rapid test results within 30 minutes. International travel during the pandemic is stressful but Aayu Clinic made the process much easier.
Easy to book, and everyone was so nice. They let my daughter help do her own mouth swab - much better experience than the nasal swab she had to have for her last COVID test.
I liked it here. It was nice. Ezra is who people should be seeing when theyre sick of Howard Brown. All of the staff treated me like a human being and let me lead the interaction.
It took a total of 5 minutes to get a covid-19 nasal swab and an antibody blood draw. Staff was friendly and efficient, and I had results on both tests within 2 days. Highly recommended!
Naturepath Dr. is knowledgeable 5 stars are for him. 1 Star ⭐️ is for the physician assistant that took my vitals and had me sit there waiting on phlebotomists without telling her I was waiting on lab work. Then they have another PA that when taking vitals she rubs her legs on you. Like where is my personal space go?
I cancelled my appointment because, upon arrival at the clinic, I was informed that they do NOT offer rapid PCR testing.Info on the website regarding testing seemed misleading. I had to leave and quickly book another appointment, I never even went inside.
Love Dr. Jay! Very progressional and knowledgeable. Taught me some interesting things - corrected several issues I’ve been having so far and we’re still working to correct others. I lost 7-8lbs without trying on the regimen because it regulated my GI system. Would highly recommend seeing Dr. Jay - you’d be surprised what you find out about your health.
All staff was amazing and very patient and understanding with my special needs son (Autism spectrum disorder, global developmental delay, nonverbal, possible adhd). Very touching to receive above and beyond for him. They even had to stay open past office hours, and my son was never rushed and always their priority. I can’t thank them enough for their compassion in one of my darkest times where I felt hopeless and defeated.
My second visit and honestly both visits wereWonderful. Everyone on staff was extremely nice and made me feel so comfortable. I also love that there isn’t a long wait when you have an appointment. Highly recommend.
Some of the directions werent very clear, and I wasnt given some of the links to complete my telemedicine screening. You should check your email pretty frequently once you book an appointment to do your telemedicine appointment, otherwise you will end up waiting if you do it in the parking lot. You have to have this done in order to get either the rapid test or your PCR test. i ended up waiting in my lot (very useful) for almost 40mins after my appointment because of the confusion.Otherwise, the process was very quick and accessible.
Quick painless and efficient. Took my son to get tested so he would be able to go back to school after missing 2 days, before i got home i got his results. If it matters hes 6 and very fidgety we were in and out 10 mins tops.
Probably the nicest providers / clinic I’ve ever been to. Providers seem to really care about patients & are very detailed in their work-ups.
Terrible experience, do not go to this place. I needed a form to get signed in order to go back to work. I left it with them and was promised it the next day. Everyone there refused to sign it. I had to make 4 different visits in order to get it signed. Also the call center for them is absolute garbage. It’s impossible to talk to a real human. Stay far far away from this place
The staff is so polite and caring. It makes you feel like you’re in good hands. Not only that but they are quick as well. I 100% recommend.
On 9 12 2023, I visited the Lakeview office and the support staff led by Sharlene Avila (the Clinical Operations Manager at Lakeview and Wicker Park) were wonderful.
I walked in at 8:30 and was seen within 30 minutes with no appointment. The waiting area had calming music, a fully stocked fridge with Gatorade and hot tea available. The nurse practitioner and medical assistant were outstanding. This is the best care Ive received from any urgent care clinic. I will definitely come back for immediate care needs.
While I was disappointed to be unable to get covid testing at a closer location to me (a 10 minute trip instead of 30), the exemplary service and handling of everything along the way earned back a full five stars and then some. Being uninsured means I need to pick and choose what I need to take care of and when, but this place is at the top of my list now for great care done affordably!
Super fast and easy covid testing: Went on Tuesday morning, booked a 15-minute consult at noon, drove up at 3 PM, home by 3:15! Results back in 3 days (negative). Highly recommend if you need a test.
I had an extremely positive experience with Aayu Clinic. I made an appointment Monday afternoon, and by 12 pm the next day I had completed a telemedicine appointment and come in and gotten a coronavirus test. They were prompt, helpful and efficient. I felt extremely safe doing the coronavirus drive in test.
