Dr Gary Barsky will speak into his phone for speak to text and speak to me at the same time to save himself some time to write in notes. Whats odd though is he would recommend me specific medication but was misspelled on the notes because he was using speech to text. Then also said he went over risks of treatment we literally did not get into depth about risks. Then my prescription was denied by the insurance. Leaving my doctor to send the pharmacy an alternative. Its been about 1 week, Ive tried contacting him and receptionist leaving him a message but no updates. Im calling the front desk but they will answer and hang up the phone. Honestly like other doctors of mine had way more care about me and text me back or update me about my problems within 24hrs. Not sure why this place I was referred to. I waited 3 months for my appointment. Cancel your appointment and dont waste your time.
Today I arrived at 10:45am for my appointment at 11:15am, it’s 1pm and I was not seen so I walked out, horrible experience, not the first time but definitely the last time. There were 2 people waiting in the lobby when I arrived, 6 waiting in line behind me, and all were attended promptly before I was sent to the back to wait for another hour!I live a couple of blocks away, I regret enrolling here and advocating for this place, this is the 3rd time this happens. It’s sad Dr. Bretts multi tasking every 5 minutes with patients. Our community deserves much better.Unfortunately, this is a reoccurring issue so please, don’t bother responding to this review and avoid this place at all cost.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Carolina for the past 3 years now and have always received excellent care. This care begins with the receptionists checking me, and the medical assistants scheduling my next appointment after my visit. The medical assistant, Martha is always kind and respectful as she helps provide care.
Many years of coming here . They need to work on calling people on time and honestly with all my respect but some nurses need to work with their “good morning” and maybe fake a smile if possible. On top of everything I do have to say there’s always one nurse “Sarah” no matter what she’s always smiling and giving positive energy, always saying good morning no matter what she always has a smile. Some of these nurses need to learn from her . Thank you Sarah for always giving the best energy possible even if you’re walking by .
Dr. Carolina Ayala is an excellent doctor. She is simultaneously efficient, passionate, humble and truthful. Her devotion to the care and welfare of her patients is exceedingly admirable. I truly value everything she does as a physician!Super grateful to have her as my doctor!
Very unprofessional. There was a mix up about my phone number and I could hear them talk about it through the door with attitudes. Then to hear the doctor say “I don’t have time for people who can’t use their phone just get an active number.” Just before coming in they just had to throw in some jokes beforehand. Talk about them blowing a small situation out of proportion. Can’t trust those people with my health if they act like that.

The security guard so rude never had an issue. This is the first time ever. No good morning and just approach me if I had a placard on my card. He was sitting down in a laid back position which is unethical. As I was proceeding towards the entrance with my kids he began talking about me. Unacceptable behavior of this individual. I really hope something gets done about this.

Please, this is an emergency do not visit the dermatologist here. Dr. Barsky he is very unprofessional. He hates his job and you could tell because he treats his customers with the worst respect you can ever imagine. He does not like typing on a computer and prefers to talk on a computer. He gives out no notice of when he’s going to speak and my mom said something to me and only me and he got up in my mothers face to say would you like to type and my mother said “no” and Dr. Barsky told her “then to stop talking then”. I mean, who does that? Please don’t visit this guy. It takes like three months to have an appointment here.

You have to wait in line for over 30mims just to check in! The lady behind the counter will pick up the phone before attending to the people that is in her face! They are not friendly what so ever! My doctor moved to this location but I’ll be finding a new one I can’t keep dealing with this every time!
I called this doctor’s office on behalf of my mom to request a refill on a medication. The medical assistant,Jazmine, that answered the phone said she would help take care of it as soon as possible. She was very pleasant and professional. The refill request was completed in a timely manner and she even gave us a courtesy call to let us know it had been done. Thanks for your services!

Good morning, first off this is my third time coming to this location and I understand why they only have 2 & half stars. I have been waiting now for a hour & 36 minutes. My appointment was at 9:15am it’s 10:37am still haven’t seen the doctor. Every time I have come here I have to wait over a hour. I asked the lady at the window, how much longer is the wait? She asked for my id, then asks do I live at an address that’s not on my id. My id is in front of you if you just read it. This place is very unprofessional. There is never any parking, they always have cones in front of so many parking spaces. This is crazy, I have things to do & I do not want to be wait in a doctors office for hours when my appointment was early this morning. It is 10:42am still no doctor and I’m about to leave and call this matter in. 01/11/24.

Really only come here because Dr Brett’s is awesome. Otherwise, getting them to answer your call is absolutely impossible. If you have an appointment at one time, get ready to wait an extra hour or two. Waiting room is always packed and some staff can be disorganized. Really sad to see it get to this point after all these years.
The doctors are nice specially Dr. Meyer hes very kind and patient. He delivered my baby 8 years ago. However I gave them 4 stars because the one of the receptionist on the 2nd floor was very rude with me today. I went in person because they never answer the phone, I had a question about a medication that Dr. Conrad prescribed for my daughter that wasnt available at the pharmacy and the receptionist wasnt patient at all I felt like she didnt want to deal with the situation and she told me to just go to any pharmacy and they should ask the original pharmacy for the information on the medicine that wasnt available. She said they couldnt do anything about it because Dr. Conrad wasnt in the office. When I asked if they were sure that I could get the medicine that way because daughter really needed it to go back to school she said IM TELLING TO DO IT THAT WAY AND THEYLL GIVE IT TO YOU then she rolled her eyes and gave me an attitude. So the doctors are nice but the receptionist need to be trained with better customer service skills.

This was my first time coming to ACCESS La Villita and my second time seeing Dr. Meyer. Dr. Meyer is very attentive. He’s a great listener and shows that he cares about his patients. My first time at this facility was okay. I wish the check in process a bit faster, because it was approximately a 10 minute wait. I understand they could be understaffed, so I will now arrive 15-20 minutes prior to any future appointment. Other than that, it was a good first time visit.

I love coming to access la Villita! All the staff is really understanding and really nice. They treat their patients with kindness. One of the register nurse her name is Sarah omg she is the best!!! If it wasnt for Dr.Bretts, Id be gone from there. They never answer even when you go through the call center and they try to get ahold of them. Ive been trying to get a referal changed since last week and all Im told is that someone is gonna call me back and til this day, nobody has called me back. RIDICULOUS!!!!!
Called for my medical records was told it would take 2.5 weeks to get them. Was given a wrong fax number and told not to call a number until the weeks had passed. I called the number turns out I can get my records in 3 days. Terrible service since I can remember. Don’t go here find somewhere else. They make a living because of us but treat patients terribly!
Dr. AURORA gave me a very bad experience, i’m pregnant and made me cry with the rude way she treated me. Told me i didn’t care about my baby and was a bad mother because i wouldn’t let her give me the Covid vaccine, i told her i was taking it after giving birth, i then explained i wanted to be give birth to my first child at Rush and immediately got offensive and replied “Why are you wasting people’s time then coming here” and immediately slammed the door at me when she left the room. I have never experienced such a thing! If she doesn’t like where she works or helping the hispanic community maybe is time to switch jobs. I will be reporting her to the department of financial and professional regulation! No one should have to experience bad treatment from any Doctor they’re suppose to be professional and help others feel better not make them cry and be rude! To top it DISORGANIZED my first ultrasound that was taken there three weeks ago was also missing, and she never found it, still had the audacity to talk to me with such an attitude and say “Are you even sure you took it here” I just asked to get discharged and left, never again! Only reason this clinic was an option was because it’s walking distance from my home and i didn’t know i was pregnant.
Dr.Arora is the best obgyn ever! Calls quick with test results , always so kind and caring for her patients and she’s just in general amazing I love her and how caring she is. She’s made my experience with both my pregnancy’s great 🤰🏻♥️
I would give this medical center zero stars if it allowed me. My mom has been coming here for years and the customer service is the worst. Great doctor, but in a medical center the service has to be excellent. The front desk is terrible, all the staff who work upon checking you in needs classes on great customer service. They always give my mom a hard time..When calling in there is almost no answer, ever. Ill also be reporting this to the Access feedback page on their site.

Came here for a blood test that was done by Brittney and she was great! As a person who tends to get dizzy with blood tests she was very professional, calm and knew exactly how to handle that without making me feel like I’m taking up too much time or something like I’ve felt at other clinics. The entire staff here is overall great!
I have been a patient here since I was a teen. They have been on point for every worry I have come across, any questions, test, even treatments. They make sure to cover every single thing on the checklist before letting me go home. Sarah Escobedo (nurse) has been very helpful since the day I met her ! It is heart warming how welcome and comfortable she makes you feel every time you go in for your appointment. Any question I have i know I can ask her without feeling judged and when she doesn’t have the answer she makes sure to get back to me before the end of my appointment. 👌🏼
I definitely recommend the Doctor Bretts! He’s been my doctor for 15 and I’m happy with his attention and service. Now he attends my whole family and we’re all happy with him. An excellent doctor and person!

I don’t understand how that staff is allowed to be to disrespectful, the fact that most of the receptionists don’t even make eye contact is unbelievable. Whoever is managing this clinic is doing a horrible job. The wait time is unacceptable with or without appointment. The staff has no regards for people’s time. I’ve worked in a setting like this before where people overbooked and numerous walk-ins could not be turned away but this place is so bad. They should all sit down and re-evaluate how they do their job, I know for a fact that they would not like to be talked to the way they speak to patients. I’ve been going here since I was a child and for as far as I can remember I have only be seen once on time (I’m almost 30) I would be embarrassed to work here and to be honest I’m embarrassed that I’ve put up with this for for long.
I wanted to put one star because the front desk staff is so rude They can rarely answer the phone I swear I’m surprised when they do and most times they place you on hold until anyone else answers. The Doctors are Real nice doe and the nurses as well but like I said that front desk staff really makes this clinic look bad. I was on hold once for so long I ended up driving there (30 min drive) just so I can stand in line and wait another 25 min while they finished chatting Smh
My experience with Dr. Meyer was exceptional! He would always make me feel really comfortable and would always make my concerns come to an ease. His MA’s Martha, Piedad and Brenda are very caring and friendly. I would definitely recommend Dr. Meyer and his staff including the front desk receptionist Jasmine.
Honestly it was the total opposite of what I was expecting. It has been one of my best experiences with ACCESS clinics. My OB/GYN Dr. Arora was the best from my 2 previous pregnancies. She sat down with me and discussed step by step what any procedures were going to be, she made me feel safe and comfortable through the process. The MA’s rock they were friendly, courteous and ready with next appointments scheduling. Love that the clinic has ultrasound, pharmacy, X-ray and now my newborn son’s pediatrician doctor all under one roof..!!!!! Shout out to La Villita medical group for their services.
Honestly doctors are nice and some nurses. But front desk is so rude. One of the nurse had comment who was yelling cause lab and said if that was her kid shell beat him. Like really at a work space? Also they never answer phone calls.
Dr.Bretts is an Amazing Dr. Have not been to a Dr. In over 9+ years he was very professional and keeped me calm as Im not to fond of DrsHe thru the kitchen sink at me was very thorough I think Ive found my new Dr. for the whole family ,thanks again 😁👍
I have to agree with the majority of people posting in this source. However, I believe is the upper management for having a bad operations on their clinics. I had transferred my mom to different access clinics and believe me that ALL of them are the same; rude staff, not answering phones, not emergencies appointments. I seriously dont understand how the STATE allows these network of clinics to be open. However, I have to admitted that I am a very emphatic person and I see that the staff have many duties for example, MAs besides their own duties they have to run front desk and other tasks that certainly it needs another individual, so I do understand that all the staff are burned up. Thus, I blame the operation manager (if there is even one), who arent not operating these clinics correctly. Common! they serve a very large population and they did not had a call center to get these calls until recently. However, not a lot of people know that there is a central calling so they continue to call the clinic itself. SHAME of the CEO and upper management!
My appointment time and when I was seen was more than an hour apart I just got shifted to two different waiting rooms. Im trying and been trying to get a hold of someone to get my test results so I can go somewhere ... I did like the doctor Ali I believe but I just would like to have a better handle of when I came in and while I will be leave the time is just so off and the lad that do the test are so expensive i have good insurance but will still be paying 130 for a blood test ... which is pretty off since my coworkers doctor had him pay nothing for his...I was told my insurance cover it than bam 130 bill
I have been calling multiple times this morning trying to re schedule my appointment. I can’t express my disappointment at how people attend to the phone here. After a few times trying to get a hold of someone, I’m on hold and suddenly just get hung up on, somebody actually answers and I hear a conversation happening but nobody attends to the phone. 5 phone calls and 30 mins later I absolutely give up. It’s beyond me how service can be this bad. Why have a phone in place if it never gets attended?? Just don’t have one.
We are patients at the 31st and Cicero location , due to the office being closed we were scheduled to come here We had a 10:15 appointment and at noon we are still waiting to be seen . 2 hour wait time for an APPOINTMENT is ridiculous. This location should schedule appropriately to avoid wait times like this . If they can’t offer another location with reasonable wait time I honestly would rather wait until they can take us . This location was very displeasing
Dont go here. Dont go to Dr. Aurora.She is rude. Unprofessional and very careless. Apparently she knew I have something wrong with my ovaries which apparently means I cant get pregnant without doctors assistance. She told me this like it was just some old news. Saying, oh, we didnt tall about this? I thought I told you., Ive seen her NUMEROUS times and she NEVER told me this information which words cant explain how I feel about it. How upset I am and frustrated.

I love coming here and bringing my son here they are very attentive of their service and put everyone’s safety first. This is the worst access I ever been to. My baby has a fever and they told me they couldn’t take her because she had COVID. The baby doesn’t have a cough or anything. We tested her and no COVID. They are lazy, ghetto and rude here avoid it at all cost.
Best staff and doctors by far. Especially all the girls in the OB/GYNE Piedad,Martha,Brenda,Mayra,Maritza,Lilie they all go above and beyond to make sure the need of the patients are taken care of immediately and appropriately keep up the good work ladies.

Dont recommend this center at all. They never answer and when they do they hang up on you. With my second pregnancy, Dr. Aurora told me I had to terminate my pregnancy (have an abortion). In her own words: your c-section scar will open and your baby will die . Im not sure how she is still working there.
The pediatricians in this clinic are great but the people answering the calls are thus far the worse I’m letting them know they need to fix their phones but yet they have the audacity to say we don’t do that. No shit Sherlock’s call the company have them fix it. I call 7 times today they answer within 5 seconds the call goes blank
The only thing that keeps me coming back to this clinic is Dr. Bretts. Other than that, the phones ring forever, some of the support staff are rude, and the wait time on the day of your appointment is over 2 hours.
I have been a patient at this office for a couple of years now.All I can say is ,I always get an excellent care here by Dr Wahi and Dr Arora.Their staff is very friendly and nice,I would definitely recommend this office and the doctors to my friends and family.

It’s so hard to get thru !! The workers always sit in the office and just talk amongst themselves they can NEVER answer the phone!!! It’s aggravating!!! A staff member calls you and you try calling back and the phone rings off the hook and no ever picks up the phone. The phone service is really terrible not even because they have this automated phone service. You can never get through.

The reception staff are unhelpful despots, without any education, they are working okay and people bring their sick children or people who are sick and have a bad attitude... they should be kind if not for their job. education or consideration they do not know how to treat people.They dont even bother to ask the doctor if they have space to see a patient, the receptionists just tell you no and give excuses for every doctor you ask. I didnt like the service today with the receptionist, I just went to WASTE MY TIME AT THE VLINIC TODAY AND BE BRAVE. I arrived at the appointment with my daughter and asked if they could see my other daughter. She also told me to ask the doctor. Ok, I understood. . We waited for more than half an hour and other families arrived after us and were passed first, which is not fair to the same doctor. She was very upset and I told her that it would be better to come back another day. She didnt even bother to say that the doctor was late, she didnt say anything, she didnt care. Afterwards I spoke on the phone to make appointments for my two daughters. KRISIA was very KIND, UNDERSTOOD ME and helped me get an appointment as soon as possible and apologized. IF IT WAS NOT FOR HER THIS DAY WOULD HAVE BEEN A DAY OF COURAGE. Because of the bad time in the morning, they really need to improve the quality of customer service, some of the workers are in a bad mood and it bothers them that we go. If I could I would give it zero stars. The staff inside is nice but the receptionists are rude to the point of being afraid to talk to them, they have no character to treat patients. Excellent doctors but the reception is the worst I have seen. I hope this complaint comes to someone who can make a change. It is a shame with such good doctors. They have such rude and unprofessional staff.
