Dr. Shashoua and the P.A Alissa were so so attentive and considerate of everything I was elaborating on. Took the time to hear me out and really consider what it is that may actually be wrong. It was quite the emotional experience but I honestly couldn’t have asked for any better of an office to attend. I want to especially give a big thank you to Alissa. She made me feel so comfortable with my explanations on any questions and medical history. She made it apparent she was going to do her absolute best to get me back in shape as well as getting my insurance to cooperate with an upcoming procedure. Those two combined are one fantastic team for any patient to be around. ❤️

If youre looking to see if you are choosing the right Doctor then youre absolutely in the right place. Dr. Shashoua is an amazing doctor and a true blessing to me.I had a prolapse and fibroids that were affecting my everyday life and made my life miserable! I was terrified at the thought of a hysterectomy. Here I am 44, but I know I didnt want anymore babies but what will this hysterectomy do to my body.Well let me tell you, I feel ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!Its been almost 2 months since my surgery and I almost forgot all the terrible things I was going through with the fibroids and especially the prolapse.. I had total hysterectomy but still have my ovaries. So I still have my monthly symptoms like Im going to have a period but I dont which is a plus!. If you are having heavy periods then that is most definitely a relief.Overall I am back to normal and very happy about my decision to get a hysterectomy and very blessed it was Dr Shashoua❤

I took my 76 year old mother to see Dr. Shashoua. Very friendly office, from the front staff to the medical assistants. The medical assistants are bilingual so it was a huge plus. My mom was very happy with her plan of care related to her condition. Glad we were referred to this office!

I have been dealing with endometriosis for 30 years. I started menstruation at a young age of 10 years old. By 15, I was in so much pain every month I would have to stay home from school. Laying in the sun in the fetal position helped. I had seen a local doctor, and was given birth control pills. In the mid 90s this was all that would help, there was nothing else for what some think is not a real disease. Fast forward 30 years. I had 2 kids, with really no issues getting pregnant. I was lucky there. But in my early/mid 40s, the pain started again. Cysts were growing. After an ER stay, I had anemia, pain, etc. Went to a GI doctor for a scope and colonoscopy. Guess what??? There was endometriosis in my colon! My GI doctor told me to walk my report into my gynecologist. She said, well, lets try 3 month BC pills again. This was after being on month pills for years. She offered a 2nd opinion, but the dr had bad reviews. Remember the treatment for my endometriosis was the same treatment I had 30 years ago (after an ovary removal). Why on earth is womens health not moving forward? So guess what? I Googled best endometriosis dr. In chicago. Dr. Shasoua came up first and I called him immediately. After a 5 min. Visit with him and an internal ultrasound, he recommended a complete hysterectomy. Something my other doctor would not consider due to my age? She said I was too young? Idk. So a few weeks later both dr. Shasoua and dr. Kaminski, a colon specialist did my hysterectomy with a colon resection. My endometriosis was so bad, I had my appendix removed also. They had to scrape of pretty much my lowef abdomen including my bladder. Endometriosis is sticky, so my bladder had attached to the side of my abdomen. All of this, a 5 hour surgery, and I was only in the hospital for 24 hours. 8 months later, I am pain free! This doctor LISTENED AND HEARD what I was saying! He quite honestly is the best in my opinion. I am grateful for him and his team.

This is not a review for Dr Shashoua but for his front office staff.I made an appointment by speaking with Regla, his receptionist, approx 7 weeks ago. I told her she could chose any day of the week at any time the week of August 20th as I was on vacation and could accommodate any day/time. We chose a date of 8/23/28 at 10:30am. Great!I never heard from the office to confirm my appointment so the day before on August 22 I called the office and once again spoke to Regla. She responded back yes, we have you scheduled with Dr Beck tomorrow Ummmm, NO I made the appointment with Dr Shashoua who I was referred to by my PCP not Dr Beck. A change in the Physician providing care would be something that should be communicated to the patient. Her response was Oh, didnt you get the voicemail we left you stating Dr Shashoua would not be in the week of the 20th?. Obviously I had not otherwise I would not be calling. So I asked her to please let me know the date the voicemail was left as my phone keeps a history of all calls and I have not deleted any voicemails. She put me on hold and never returned to the phone. It has been over an hour and she is still looking for the spreadsheet that will tell her when she supposedly called to tell me Dr Shashoua would not be in on the 23rd.........my hunch is she will never find it as no call was ever placed to me.So after waiting weeks and weeks for an appointment I am now left with no appointment with less than 24 hours notice. I have checked my phone and no voicemail was received from Dr Shashouas office.I would have loved to know this prior to the day before. The office not attempting to contact me and/or reschedule me comes across as incredibly uncaring and unprofessional. I have left a voicemail for the office manager, Donna Rice. When I asked for Donna Rices office number the receptionist refused to give it to me. She stated she could only transfer me to Mrs Rices voicemail. I wasnt allowed to have her direct office number. (Strange)I will update my review when I finally get in to see Dr Shashoua if I can get his office staff to correctly schedule it.

I can’t say enough about my experience with Dr. Shashoua. I was searching the internet for a doctor for my condition. Without getting too personal, my search led to Dr. Shashoua. From my first interaction with his office, I knew I was in the right place. The surgical experience was amazing. The hospital staff was so caring and professional. Dr. Shashoua is the best and well worth the drive down from Milwaukee.

It says they accept a variety of health plans but only take community, whatever that is. Very vague and unhelpful. Receptionist is not great at all.
