We went in to get a sports physical for my son; the staff did a great job and were all very nice. The wait time was minimal, and checking in and out went smoothly. The P.A. was also very considerate, and professional. A patient came in at the same time we did for a medical issue, and the staff were so kind and supportive to her. They treat people very well and seem caring. I highly recommend this location.
I went in for an intimate checkup September 22, 2024. I was seen quickly and the doctor aka provider advised me it would only take 2 days for the results because they had to send the sample out to their lab. I called back in prior to my trip multiple times and was advised by front desk that it takes 3-5 business days. I am now out of the country it’s Tuesday October 1, 2024 and I am being advised by the back office that they still don’t have the results back. The advertising says fast testing apparently that’s not true and false advertising. I wish I would have went to my regular gynecologist because their test results are actually rapid. Hopefully I get my results as soon as possible because walking around with what I believe is a yeast infection with no treatment options isn’t helpful nor ideal.
I wont be back--at all. I had no idea that reserving an appointment does not give you priority on your visit. It only guarantees that they will see you that day. These very words were said by the front desk staff to another waiting client. I was informed up front that there would be a long wait when I arrived. I was fine with that. I did choose to stay. But then I heard the above statement said to that other client who had made a previous appointment also and wished to be seen at his appointed time. When they said what they said to them, the understandably did not look pleased. He unfortunately had to wait a very long time also with what was supposed to have been his set aside appointment time. So to be clear--making appointments means nothing to NextCare in terms of having first priority to be seen before walk-in clients. Got it. Its a no for me from here on out.
I was a walk in. The front desk person was very professional and friendly. I arrived at 2pm was taken back to room around 2:45. The wait for the doctor was alittle over an hour. The doctor was apologetic about the wait. The room itself was surface clean but in poor repair. The lobby was sanitized as I was waiting by the front desk person which I was very happy to see. Although under the vending machines in lobby was extremely dirty. Overall I was satisfied with my visit.
The receptionist was so professional, smiled, great customer service. She even gave us a breakfast suggestion!! It was so good!! Shannon was the PA, she listened to my issues. She asked many questions and diagnosed my pain quickly. She was awesome! We are from out of town and I found NextCare Urgent Care on the internet. I highly suggest NextCare Urgent!!
Great experience, from setting up the appointment, filling out paperwork, and getting checked out by the Doctor. All staff members are super nice and professional. My whole family has been going to Nextcare for years now, they never disappoint.
Had a great experience this morning. Booked my appointment ahead of time and was called 10 minutes after I got there. Dr. Was great. Listened to me, explained to me what was wrong, and what the plan was. She was very kind and when I mentioned my hearing aids she spoke up to be sure I could hear her. Would highly recommend them for your urgent care needs.
This place was excellent! The staff was wonderful before I even saw the doctor. The doctor was really sweet her bedside manner was outstanding (even though VERY pregnant☺️) my covid test came back negative but she still gave 110% care…I would recommend this place over any other urgent care facility in Fredericksburg! Thanks next care you made my visit quick and painless🫶🏽
I had a problem with my hand I needed checked out on short notice, so I was able to come by and spoke to the nice counter lady who promptly got my info and helped me be seen by one of the nice doctors that promptly sent me on my way with the info I needed and my prescriptions. I was very satisfied and happy with my experience.I would recommend this provider.
Friendly staff. I was able to get my daughter a same day physical for her soccer tryouts. When I called my primary doctor’s office. The sports physical appointments were two weeks out.
The provider was not receptive towards the pain I was in for a migraine. After explaining that having a “headache” for the past 12 hours is not “just a headache”. All she suggested is that I treat the symptoms. I had to fight to get a prescription for any pain medicine, all to get ibuprofen, which I have at home, and hadn’t helped the pain I was in for over 12 hours. I do not recommend this provider.
Leasly was the best, and patient with me. I was scared of getting my hard rock ear wax, but she kept assuring me that she would be gentle, and she was. She was so sweet and kind. I have never seen such a lovely doctor.
They said they would call in a prescription and never did. I had to call back a few times after being disconnected and they finally called me back and said they would resend the prescription order. I ended up having to wait at the pharmacy for a long time. Very good in the office, not good follow through.
Traveling through for spring break and this was the third place we attempted to get my 8 year old seen. After 2 horrible experiences I was on edge to say the least. As a nurse I took one look at the throat and knew we were in need of antibiotics so I was initially hoping for a quick and easy trip. Upon entering my we were greeted here immediately with a smile. Directed clearly on how to sign in and provide all his information. We were seen very quickly after paperwork was complete. The nurse obviously had experience with children. She was wonderful and talking to him directly about everything and it helped bud a report before she even swabbed his throat. They were laughing and joking together. The NP could have simply said positive strep and sent us on our way, but she too was amazing with him. She took her time and did a full exam to make sure nothing was missed. The NP talked directly to him about his symptoms and how he was feeling, signaling me to help fill in gaps only when necessary. Being that we were traveling they even helped pick a close pharmacy we knew would have our information store and made sure to give directions, just in case. Overall an amazing visit in a stressful moment. We will be sure to keep this place in mind if we’re ever in need of urgent care on the go again. Thank you for helping our spring break vacation not end on day 2!
Awful!!! I called to arrange an appointment for my dad, let the staff know the nature of the paperwork who sought approval and confirmed that they could do it. Once I was there, I was told by Dr. Amin that he could not do that type of physical even after I told him I was referred to urgent care for the physical and had travelled from Richmond, cajoled my father with Alzheimer’s to agree to the appointment, and called ahead to ensure it was OK. Absolutely livid!! Zero stars.
When I walked in theres a lady behind the counter (hiden behind a wall) I had to keep telling her I cant hear you. And another lady has to do the same. (Wierd. I was very uncomfortable should have left then.) A man called me to the back never said who he was. I couldnt find a name tag.(second red flag. I should leave.) He gave me lots of orders never let me know what was going on. Like other professionals will do. So I wanted to know what was going on. I kept asking questions. He evidently did Not like that at all. He even asked me did I want to continue. ( I should have left. ) I took that as a threat to kick me out. I did feel like I should know what the heck was going on. He kept saying with authority and defense ITS POLICY MAM!!! He finally tells me he was supposed to take 3 pictures of a knee. I said oh ok. I like commutation. He say I know. Im not an expert at this he is. Why Im not allowed to know what the heck is going to happen. Zero bedside manner. When he stops I wait for a little bit and a little more. So I say are we done? He said no. I just told this person what my problem was. I had to tell him Im in pain and to fat to be on that wabbly table. I know he liked seeing me struggling because he still didnt want me to relax. Sorry who ever you are over 300 pounds person cant do certain things especially with No Help From You. My fat body is nor like yours. Before I went in another room I wanted his name to remember. Im shocked he told me. I dont think he knows how cold he was. What happened? Oops sorry another question. Then this lady in scrubs came in no clue of who she is. (I should have left again. And still dont know who or what she is. Just someone in scrubs. ) She talks about what it might be. So I said what was I not supposed to take those x-rays yet. Im thinking I could have avoided that guy. I dont understand why the man didnt want to x-ray pain side? So I TRIED to get the info from her. She went on defense telling me Joseph is a very trustworthy technician. Um What? (Then she called me a name.) Mam you are being difficult do you want to continue. ( threat number 2.) I said I want my question answered. Maybe she should have let me pay for another x-ray. Just saying. She says she saw nothing. Then she saw arthritis and bone spur. (OK thats not nothing or normal to me. ) she then started talking about inflammation and tendons. And wanted to push those drugs for that. I said no. She must not have listened to me when I had something stabbing me from the inside out. Those pills are not going to stop stabbing me. I told her every time I put my knee on the bed and put my wait on it. It hurts really really bad!!!! She doesnt care. (Ill call her miss defense. Instead of anything else.) I couldnt believe the last second she sounded nice and said is there any thing else. I started crying and said I need nice people. Im not crazy it makes no sense to x-ray the wrong side and force me to hurt my self to get it.
Greeted warmly, seen relatively promptly (had an appointment), treated professionally and processed quickly. Leslie is delightful and Doctor Soonina was kind and helpful. First-rate experience.
The lady at the front desk was absolutely amazing and so kind!! she had the best attitude, her and all of the staff made my kids feel so comfortable!!
This told me that if they did a culture of my infection that I would find out what it was. They also told me that they would call me with the results in 2-5 days. After not hearing from them for 10days, I returned to get the results from which they said the results were “negative” which does not tell me what I have. I explained this in simple English but the nurse just kept saying the same thing and could not explain why she didn’t have any more information.
First off, I came into the office with my injured toe and I was in pain. I was greeted by Tanea, who was very professional and polite. I was having trouble with my phone reception and Tanea was super nice by checking me in to get treatment. Joe was very professional by quickly getting my x-ray evaluated and sent to the provider for evaluation. The provider Amin was incredible and very helpful providing me with his expertise along with great bedside manner. He made me feel comfortable and that I was in good hands. Amin provided me with the recommendation for a walking boot. The MA Leslie quickly provided me with the walking boot. Leslie made sure that the walking boot fitted me perfectly and also provided me with instructions which will be extremely helpful to me. Overall this staff provided me with A+ service and I would recommend this location to anyone. Thank you very much!
The FNP Shannon McDaniel and the lady on dayturn that checked me in on 6/6/2024 were awesome.. The receptionist just ran outside to help me get inside and got me a wheelchair. She also printed the papers because I didnt have my glasses to see the stuff on my phone. However, the male nurse was rude, said things while we were sitting right in the room and could hear him. Also instead of telling my friend to stay in the room until we got back from trays because there was no room, he instead told her to push me everywhere and then shut the door in her face at xray.. Not again 😑
Very professional and pleasant. I appreciate the professionalism from all the staff members. I was seen right away I spent approximately an hour there from the time of check-in to discharge. Great work!
This place has become absolutely terrible!!! I went on Wednesday May 22 and told them I had been coughing for 3 weeks. I called back after finishing my 5 days of prednisone that was prescribed after all they did was say oh you aren’t wheezing and I had to beg for cough medicine. I called the Fredericksburg office and was told to contact my primary care doctor I told them it was Sunday on a holiday weekend. They asked if I wanted an antibiotic and I said yes I clearly need one and they said oh sorry we gave you the highest thing we can without you coming in again. I explained to them I have a family member in the hospital and need to visit them and they said well we did all we can without you coming back in. I said well thanks for doing nothing and the girl said she tried to help and hung up on me. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!
Awful. Did a telehealth the night before and was asked to come in for a culture the next morning. Had an appointment at 10:40am and it took 2 hours for a NP to even see my daughter. Will NEVER do this again.
Worst experience ever. Doctor never called in prescription had to go back to send them over. Gave me a shot and when i asked what it was the only answer was something for the pain which the shot did not releive any pain. Called to try and get renewed prescription was hung up on. This place is a scam and anyone working there should have their licenses revoked. Will be contacting the medical board.
I had a a bad reaction to a bee sting the previous day and I wasn’t able to make the pain, redness or swelling go down. So I went to Urgent Care Friday early evening. A doctor was able to see me immediately and prescribe prednisone. After 4 days the swelling, redness, pain and itching have been subsiding. I am very very happy with the quick response to my ailment and I highly recommend Urgent Care for immediate care.
We were seen very quickly and everyone was friendly and patient with my son. We especially appreciated Leslie’s kindness and hard work with my four year old!
Shannon McDanielFNP was rude and condescending. She sent rx’s to Walmart instead of giant. The pharmacist said the second if 2 rx’s was not called in. My insurance would not cover the inhaler because it had been called to Walmart first. We went back to NextCare to have the nasal spray called in and Shannon denied sending rx to Walmart. She sent rx “again” and told my husband it was not sent to Walmart first. While waiting for second rx ( I had to pay full price) I got a text that both rx’s were ready to be picked up at Walmart and insurance had been billed. I had to remind Shannon that she said she would do a throat culture before I left. This is my second time seeing her and she was rude both times. I do not trust her because she lied about sending rx’s to Walmart by accident and it was Sunday so the insurance company was not answering the phone. I was sick and feeling miserable. My husband and I did not need this drama. I will think twice before returning to Nextcare.
The Front Desk Receptionist Mikayla was (IS) awesome...she was very polite, patient & kind, as with the rest of the staff...Thanks much for getting me in and out....I hope I never have to visit an Urgent Care anytime soon, but if I do it will definitely be this one!
I came in late and they were cordial and polite while treating me. Very grateful for their knowledgeable and resourcefulness within their facility. I highly recommend this urgent care.
Great visit. The front desk lady was very helpful and polite. The PA was very knowledgeable and great with kids. The nurse was funny and friendly.
I went in 3/7 to have my toe xrayed as I believed it to be broken. Doctor advised xray shows nothing I say nothing as in...she says as in not broken. I say what do I do, clearly bruised, swollen painful. She says resume normal activity. I am stunned but say ok. 4 weeks later I see foot doctor who says your toe is broken. He looks at xray nextcare took and says its broken here as well. All I did by trying to resume normal activity was make it worse. I find this doctor INCOMPETENT and WILL NEVER go there again. Oh yeah I got charged $450 for the xray
It was not a good visit.....it was only like a 4 min check up on my daughter and said she looked totally fine and I had to take her to the ER last night because how much pain she was having in her right ear and she has a double ear infection and the right one was so red and bulging on the verge of busting! theres no way her ears looked fine 6 hours before that!! 😡 We wont be going back ever!
Everything went fine with my checkup for Pink Eye and a 101 fever. On a Sunday afternoon. An eye drop prescription was to be sent to my pharmacy but never got there electronicallyWhen I tried to call the clinic at 4:02 they had closed ar 4pmI had to wait till Monday to call them an get it sent so I could start the treatment after a night of watering matting eyeNever had this happen any wareAt 76 I was upset. Should have and will ask for a written prescription in the future.
His doctor Dr. McDaniel was amazing! She answered all my questions and made sure I understood everything, she really took her time , and was very friendly to my son ... Thank you so much!
Nurse practitioner was very professional, but the lights were out in the front sitting room and all the TVs were turned off and the atmosphere was very depressing. Healthcare facilities should resemble the work that is done to the body as well as the soul. Definitely could use some cleaning in the front of the house as well. Several lights were making the place look like it was closed.
Excellent dr and receptionist. medical assistant he was not too good. not personable at all. didnt say more than 4 words to me. other than him was a great experience
My 6 yr old Son woke up with a swollen eye and we chose NextCare for our urgent care services. First call the front desk picked right up and the wait time wasn’t that long. Provider saw us relatively quickly. Asked for a paper prescription so I could take my Son’s prescription to another pharmacy if they didn’t have his meds available (since the pharmacy didn’t open until 10AM). Left NextCare at 9:48AM and went literally across the street and waited for the pharmacy to open and gave them the paper prescription. The pharmacy gave me a call 20mins later and said the dr and the physician assistant (who we saw), weren’t in their system and the prescription didn’t have the required id number on it and they had called NextCare numerous times without an answer. I called and the phone rang for 5mins before I got an answer and was put on hold to get disconnected. Called back and I was told I would receive a call back (I did not) I called back and got no answer. I had to drive back to the NextCare office and when I walked in I was told my prescription was sent over electronically, so I drove back over to the pharmacy and the pharmacist did not see the prescription. Come to find out the prescription was sent to the wrong store. Over two hours later we had our prescription. Disappointing
I made my son’s appointment the night before for a Sunday late morning. My husband took him. He was seen right around his appointment time. He was well taken care of, x-rays taken. Time well spent explained everything to the both of them. Overall experience was good. Would definitely go back and would recommend.
Sent prescription to wrong pharmacy twice, didn’t get my son’s prescription until next day. Called and told manager would call me - never happened. The only thing they do urgently is take your money.
Dr was wonderful; personable, kind, caring, concerned, listened well.Xray tech was efficient but had no bedside manner.HOWEVER, my xrays were read incorrectly by at least 3 people there and I was told that my wrist was not broken! 6 months and hours of painful PT later, a new set of xrays showed a break that was now separated and required surgery,
My first time yesterday.Hands down everybody was just so amazing from the nurse to the front desk . They made meFeel very welcomed just by listening, I hope this urgent care can be a training site for other locations.
Just took to long trying to approval the workman comp paperwork. The check in was okay and doctors where good too
Went there early with 1 customer still waited 1hour and was only seen for 1minute to tell me that I am fine nothing is wrong I would not waste my time going on an urgent care if I am totally fine went had to go to another urgent care and found out i have an infection would never come back to this location again only good thing here is the lady at front desk very helpful and nice
We had a walk-in my son spiked a fever at school. We were seen quickly, with attention and updates provided at each step from check in, to triage, to our room. Lacey was remarkable as she engaged with my son (3y/o), explaining as she went through vitals and viral tests to calm his nerves.
The nurse & doctor we had were so super nice! It was a quick and easy check in too. I loved that they didn’t make me feel bad about bringing in my 4 month old baby for basically no reason (crazy first time mom here!). We will definitely go back next time!
Quick, efficient, and effective! Not only that but friendly too. Even with four people in front of me, the wait was just a couple minutes.
Staff was nice and quick but the diagnosis with the associated treatment is questionable.
The lady at the front desk was super nice, I think her name was Devon, and the NP Shannon (I think) was AMAZING! They were both so upbeat, positive and really desired to help. Except for the x-ray technician, it was a much better experience than I expected. Sadly, the X-ray technician was very unkind and despite our efforts to be nicer and more upbeat, he was still very rude and cold. My son was in a lot of pain but the technician did not care, at certain times making him feel as though my son was faking. However, you don’t really have to deal with him much, so I would say it’s definitely worth going. This will be my first stop for my family’s medical needs for sure! The only reason I didn’t give them a 5 was because the X-ray technician was so unpleasant and his customer service is definitely lacking, but the rest of the team deserves a shoutout!
Normally, I love next care urgent care, but what happen today was I had an appointment at 1:40. I walked in at 1:10 PM and asked if there was anybody ahead. Would I be able to check in early? She stated there was only one person waiting and now would be a great time to check in. I did so they took a payment from me at 1:47 PM and then I did not get in until close to 3 PM and then we were let go at 3:38 PM. I have never sat in the doctors office that long waiting for Care.
My appointment was at 9:40. Got checked in and went into triage in a timely manner. However, didn’t get seen by the doctor until around 11. After hearing and giving my symptoms of chest, head & nasal congestion and ear pain, the doctor proceeded to not examine my ears or my nose. He only listened to my chest upon me prompting him to do so after I told him I am an asthmatic. Waited all that time and wasted money on copay just to get told to “hit the medications a little harder” and to not get thoroughly checked out. When a patient complains of nasal congestion and ear pain, those areas should be examined! Wasted my time and my money, will never return!
Arrived early and was seen quickly. Second time there and the staff has always been pleasant.
Despite the excellent care we received from the very patient and knowledgeable Dr, the front office staff was extremely unprofessional and incompetent. He may have been young, but he could have been more polite when speaking with my parents before and after their visit. It’s sad that we would choose this place for the Dr yet would not like to experience such unprofessional and rude service from the front desk staff before and after our visit. Dr Smith was a younger female Dr who was exceptionally patient, knowledgeable and helpful. She would get 5 stars!
Scheduling appointment & checking in online with NextCare Urgent Center is easy and quick. Very little wait time.
We got my childs sinus infection addressed and taken care of in less than five minutes with the Dr. However we waited in the room for almost an hour for the dr. We checked in and left, then came back when we were told. So I expected for it to be much quicker.
Excellent and quick care today. Check in went smoothly and professionally. Will definitely use this facility again when I need urgent care.
Everyone was so nice like always. The doctor that seen us was AWESOME!!!!! Thank you guys for always having great customer service.
I got my football physical here this year and last and it was very good service helping and all that
Have been to this location a couple times before, things seemed fine. Went on Saturday with symptoms of an active sinus infection, including but not limited to green and yellow mucus while blowing my nose, productive cough with more green and yellow mucus, headache, ear pressure, jaw pain, shortness of breath, could barely talk, hoped to get some antibiotics for what I thought was an obvious infection. I have never felt so dismissed. Was told the following statements:1) sinus infections dont happen that fast (because I had felt okay two days prior, disregarded the fact I told her I had been experiencing worsening symptoms for almost two full weeks prior to this visit)2) sinus infections dont affect the throat (because nasal drainage isnt a thing I guess)3) history doesnt matter (after I told her of my family and personal history dealing with sinus infections and how bad they can get when left untreated)4) you dont have enough symptoms (after I pleaded for antibiotics before it got worse)5) that just means your body is already working to get rid of it (after I reminded her that I was coughing up infected mucus)She explained her refusal to prescribe antibiotics was due to the fact that I had recently been on a short round of antibiotics for an infected bite two weeks prior (never mind that this was a completely different situation, and I needed help for this particular situation). And so I left with a hard-fought prescription for steroids. I was lucky enough to get an appointment with my ENT the following Tuesday. 5 minutes in his office and he determined I was in the throes of an acute sinus infection, prescribed me a two week course of antibiotics, took me out of work for the remainder of the week, and apologized for the extension of my suffering. To anybody that has taken the time to read this long complaint, please be wary of the negligence you may experience if you choose to go to this location.Thank you for your disregard, FNP Thompson. I will not be returning for a follow up.
I have been very pleased with the visits. I’ve had here so far. Everybody is very nice and they do a great job.
We had a great visit. Was a smooth visit and the most friendly people.
I literally called to see if I could be seen I was told yes, I showed up and they said I couldn’t. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend
It went terrible! The doctor who saw me rushed, spent 5 minutes, then basically told me nothing was wrong with me. My chest hurts when I breathe deep and cough and the mucus is yellow. My body aches and I .have a fever.
Easy to use app and good available times for scheduling, they confirmed, sent me text reminders, check ins, people at front were super nice, and quick! Nurses and doctors were very personable, knowledgeable, and got done what needed to be done fast! I needed X-rays and that was quick too! This was SO MUCH of a better experience than I’ve had at MOST doctors’ offices in the past several years! I wish there was one closer to where I live in Orange, but I’ll be back! This is how going to the doctor should be!!! Thank you!!!
The lady at the front desk was very professional and pleasant. The medical assistant who triage me was very nice also. The doctor took her time and listen to all my concerns and I was treated quickly and now Im getting better. Thank all of you so much !!!!!!!!!
My husband booked an appointment for today as he was very sick. When he arrived for his scheduled appointment at 2 o’clock, the front office informed him that there was no doctor on duty & the x-ray machine was not available him.Why on earth would an urgent care office still remain open when there was no doctor on duty or x-ray available? We will not be using this Urgent Care service ever.
I always go here for camp physicals. Check in is always quick and the doctor is always thorough.
They completely ignored the reason I was there. It’s already hard enough to go to the Dr but for them to just ignore my wishes was dehumanizing. I will not be back. The only good part was the receptionist she was nice.Update: I literally asked Nextcare to perform a service that was 1. Necessary 2. Listed as a service they provide on their website. Don’t believe the hype. I said what I said this place is horrible they could have at least ADDRESSED my concern but they IGNORED it. There is a difference.
Wait was a little longNp was very attentive and had a great bedside manner. A plus for that. She wrote me two prescriptions that elevated my pain within hours. I feel so much better.
They were very thorough and friendly. Will definitely go here again!
Not a great experience here. Was told I would get a phone call regarding my test results, but it has been weeks and I havent gotten a call nor voicemail. Only have received an invoice in the mail, but still no test results. The staff, with the exception of one younger woman, was also acting a bit judgmental for what I was there for as well.
My visit at Next Care - Urgent Care was very pleasant. Nurse Meg and Dr. Kelly was very helpful and considerate when diagnosing me, while getting me in and out.The staff was friendly and supportive. I would recommend Next Care to anyone and I appreciate the positive treatment as a client and as a customer. Thank you ladies! 😉
The check-in process was quick and easy. The doctor was wonderful.
Best front desk clerks and best doctors I would go there again and would recommend this place to all of you
I like the medical professionals there but cannot stand the lack of communication: namely, I was on hold 45 min. until I finally spoke to 3 different phone operators. Never once did I get to speak to a nurse or anyone who could ask for a refill. I tried having my pharmacy send in a request after that and there’s no fax number provided! It should never be this hard to get ahold of someone who works in the office. It’s much too corporate for my taste.
This was a horrible experience. I was going to go to better med (and I should have) but I was in the shopping center so I went here. The lady at the front desk could not get my insurance to go through. She said it said “invalid” even though I used it at my primary doctors office and other places. She then said “I’ll just put your old insurance on and they will bill you”. Why would I want to pay out of pocket when I have insurance??When I got to the back I ask the gentleman if he could have a look or have someone else run it. He seemed annoyed, but did it anyway. As I was sitting waiting, he can back and said “all you have it a copay”. So obviously she was not doing something correctly. Then the dr looked at me and seemed nice enough but did not want to prescribe an antibiotic because “she looks at me and does not see flu or COVID”. Never knew those were tested by looking at someone. Anyway, when I told her it has been 3 days and I have been taking everything and it has never not gotten worse, she said “fine I’ll give you an antibiotic but it may not work” and she walked out with major attitude. I did tell them when I left that they need better customer service and they do!
I am very happy with the professional, courteous, caring service from the receptionist to the Triage Nurse to the Physician/Nurse Practioner - in particular Shannon! Shannon is amazing! Thank you again Shannon!
Everyone is great there. Ive used these guys several times and each time Ive come away very pleased. I recommend them highly.
Love NextCare Urgent Care Clinic located at 5825 Plank Road, Ste 105, Fredericksburg, VA 22407. Went this morning for musculoskeletal pain in my elbow. I was able to make an appointment and check-in online and waited for, maybe, five minuites before they called me back. Front and Vitals Staff was super professional and the Nurse Practitioner was AMAZINIG! The clinic is close to home and super convenient!!
Very attentive and knowledgeable took about 45 min from when I walked in to walking out.
The staff was polite and professional throughout the entire visit. Dr. Moran made me feel comfortable and was incredibly kind and patient. I will definitely return to this location for any future medical needs, no other experience at any type of urgent care has been this pleasant and easy.
Theres a slight and recurring problem with the NPs prescribing things that directly interact with each other, and not consulting the patient about it. Im not entirely sure theyre aware theyre doing it.Other than that, theyve been a good and reliable place for my familys minor emergencies for years. Conveniently located, too!
Staff was very nice and attentive. I was able to set up an appointment on the app. Which is a huge time saver. They are beyond professional and they listen if youre honest with whats going on. They are caring and understanding about whatever you might be going through. I would definitely come here again. The staff definitely deserves all possible praise.
I have a primary care physician and see other specialist, as needed. However, whenever possible, I deliberately choose to see the docs at this particular location. The docs listen, offer solutions, are knowledge, and make me feel heard, not rushed. Today was no exception! The kindness, non judgemental attitudes of every level of staff is by far superior to other locations/medical offices.
I made it clear from the start that i wanted to be seen to check my blood presure and get a prescription if it wasnt low enough. i explained that i had tried to manage my BP through magnesium and potassium supplements and diet.I went to this clinic because the doctor there is listed as a GP in my health insurance network and wanted to start as a new patient. When I was finally seen my BP was taken then later told that I couldnt get a prescription because it was considered an urgent care visit and could not be considered as a new patient seeking monitoring care for the prescription. So at the end of the day I paid $35 to have my BP taken, which I could have done at home. I sent an email asking for a refund but got no response.
Next care on Plank Road was great. They got me in as fast as they could and looked at my eye. They did a thorough exam. I was very impressed. Highly recommend.
I’d never been to NexCare before but would definitely go again if I got sick.
Been here going on three hours! I was referred to this location and I must say I’m quite disappointed! There should be a notice or forewarning upon check-in to give patients more of an option if they would care to hang around or not. The receptionist, MALE, is sitting at the desk with his AirPod, singular, having a full blown conversation. Unacceptable and unprofessional on his part when you have agitated, sick, patients sitting around waiting to looked at. My first and last visit at this location! Though you checked in your are NOT guaranteed to be seen at the appropriate time.. prepare to wait!
Getting an appointment through the app was no problem at all. Wait wasnt long. The receptionist and triage nurse were quick and sweet. Got my X-rays taken and then waited... and waited... nurse came in and put a splint on my fingers and sent me home. They told me the radiologist was behind on X-rays and that I would either get a call last night or this morning. An hour after I got home, I received a text message saying I had an after visit summary. When I opened the summary, there were NO comments. Every block said n/a except the one stating the reason for my visit, which were the comments I put in when I made the initial appointment online. This morning, I tried calling twice and was on hold for 15 minutes each time waiting to speak with someone. I decided to go ahead and drive to the clinic and speak to someone in person. Big mistake! There were two younger looking receptionists when I walked in. Neither gave a friendly greeting at all. When I told them what I was there for, one of them said well Im not sure theyre going to be able to help you much here. I didnt understand why he said that since I went to the same location I was seen at last night! After much hesitation, he rolled his eyes and handed me a post-it note and told me to write down my name and number and he would go check for me. When he came back, he informed me that my X-rays still hadnt been processed and I was going to have to wait for them to call me. I asked how long it would be and he said I dont know. I then asked would it be within an hour to which he responded Im not sure. After that, I asked would it at least be today and he said honestly, Im not sure. I dont know what to tell you. So now Im waiting for a call, have NO after visit summary information, dont have a clue if Im supposed to keep the stint on and for how long and whether or not I can be released to work, if I need to make a follow-up appointment with my doctor... NOTHING!! I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS LOCATION EVER, unless they can get their act together and take care of people like theyre supposed to.
Went to Next Care early Sunday morning because I needed a new prescription for an antibiotic today. The receptionist was wonderful at making a great impression for this business. Friendly and professional. She quickly got me through the hated paperwork and made my life better. Great job!Next the nurse was just like the receptionist. Same manner about her. In no time she had ready for the NP.Finally the Nurse Practioner took me to the end zone, and just like that I was “out of there.”This “team” of professionals highly impressed me all along the line.If you want great care without wasting your time I highly recommend you look up the closest one to you and keep them in mind the next time you need quality care. And it doesn’t hurt that they treat you with a smile either.DJ
I was led in by the good reviews-- Ive gone to many urgent cares and was shocked at the level of incompetence. They had no idea what to do for my husbands gastrointestinal illness besides test him for the flu. No check for dehydration or any follow up info about what to do for severe symptoms. We walked out with no paperwork, no info, didnt even know the name of the person who treated us. It felt like going to a drive through. 0/5, avoid at all costs.
Waiting time was longer than expected, but good care given. Thanks to all the staff members who assisted with my care. The NP was very nice and paid attention to details.
Our original appointment and location had to be moved bc of an emergency and they rescheduled our appointment to the earliest possible at a location of my choosing. We arrived checked in online and we’re called in before our appointment time. The staff was friendly and got us back quickly to be seen. I would definitely go back to this location again!
This review is from Joshua Lohr . I don’t have a Google account but my mom does. Very good place to go for your urgent need. Very caring and wanted to make sure you feel better. Highly recommend!
Not the best experience. Poor quality of care. Doctor didn’t wash her hands upon entering the room. After looking at my son, she recommended we send some tests to the lab and I never heard back. Tried calling and was told the doctor would get back to me, she never did. Overall wasn’t the best experience. Gave 2 stars for the building being relatively clean in appearance.
Efficient, kind folks. Ive needed 3 urgent care visits in the last month. I would recommend them to everyone in a minute. Generally just takes an hour total. Quick compared to other places. Not overcrowded or stressful at all.
I’ve used other Urgent Cares. Frankly, NextCare Urgent Care is convenient, easy check-in, fast, clean, quiet, great operating hours, and lastly no quirky disclaimers/procedures! Their staff is respectful, friendly, considerate, and definitely thorough, especially when it comes to diagnosing! This is why I have no problem driving past BetterMeds who’s closer and come back repeatedly to NextCare!
I believe the woman who saw my son her name was Rebecca. Her bedside manner was excellent and made my son feel at ease. The wait was about 3 hours from the time I walked in. I tried to call ahead but found there to be no answer only a recorded message. Requested medical records to be faxed to front office and Laura never followed up before she left for the day. My son did however get a physical completed for school so not a total loss thanks to the back office crew!
A very friendly and competent front desk manager. The wait was reasonable and the doctor was great. Thanks!** update**I am removing a couple stars. I don’t think they have the same front desk manager. I was not impressed recently. She was gruff with me when I asked a question. The wait is becoming really long here as well. The past two times it took over 2 hours with an appointment!I have chosen to go elsewhere.
I was given the best care. The doctor, nurse and receptionist all treated me with such kindness, concern and patience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants superior care. I’m very happy with my experience and feel very well cared for and feel confident with my testing and treatment for the diagnosis I have.
I haven’t been to an urgent care in quite a while and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and short wait time. As a military veteran I was directed to this clinic by the Richmond VA and they accommodated me as a veteran through the VA outpatient services.
I want to first say I have been this location several times before without these issues and I live close so it is convenient for me to come here. But after today I will NEVER COME BACK. The doctors here spend LITERALLY 3 minutes with you and never seem to genuinely listen to your concerns, take a quick look over, prescribe you medication and off you go. If you are in need of a competent doctor, PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
Receptionist was very friendly and organized. She cleaned in between customers and as busy as it was she maintained and kept everything under control. The technician was excellent as well. She caught on that my daughter was special needs and adjusted her questioning accordingly. The doctor was very patient and thorough. I’m bad with names, but I think their names were Meg, Annie and I don’t remember the receptionist name. Excellent customer service and patient care.
Start with the bad...my appointment was at 6pm & they didnt see me until 8:30pm. Every other aspect was great. I interacted with 3 staff members (desk/triage/dr). All 3 of them were courteous, nice, & efficient. I was very impressed with the people. Not my closest NextCare but would drive further again to go to this one!
Great front desk staff… friendly and welcoming. There was a bit of a wait, but it was a Saturday, so I figured it wasn’t too bad considering everything. The doctor was knowledgeable, although, I felt, a little abrupt with not the best “bedside manner”. All in all though, it was a good experience (as good as it could be considering having to visit a medical facility)!
Did not fill out the paperwork for my child’s school physical correctly. They left entire sections completely blank, such as the allergy section & didn’t check mark the “wellness” section either. Choose a different clinic that has competent staff.
They are almost refusing to get me my childs hand x-ray that is needed for a follow-up. Ive traveled to their location 3 extra times to pick it up for it not to be there, I have spent 4 hours on the road and 2 hours on the phone trying to get this disc. I will be filing a complaint with several agencies. Messages have been sent to the clinic and to the patient liaison, but nothing is helping. I would not recommend Nextcare for your urgent care needs.
5-26-23Horrible experience. Not sure what has happened within the last month but this Nexcare was dirty, the front desk guy acted like it was all he could do to talk, he looked up literally thru the hair in his eyes to check my husband in, the male nurse smelt of cigarettes and there was no doctor in the building. My husband made the appt online for a knee consult and xray, confirmed appt, received text confirmation then when he arrived he was told it was a teli-med consult. How do you teli- med an axray? The male nurse who smelt badly of cigarettes took him back, was rude and became frustrated when my husband couldnt remember the name of his blood pressure med. At this point my husband said this wasnt working and he would return his consult with the VA. Yes, this Nexcare is a registered VA partner...We do not recommend using their services. This Nexcare at one time leas than a month ago was a very smooth, clean facility and professional experience. Sadly, it was NOT today. We have made our concerns known with VA as well. Very sad.
Great experience! I took my 10 year old in while traveling for an ear infection. They were very busy, but I made an appointment the evening prior and was seen in less than an hour, despite their high patient volume. Everyone was very kind and the facility was very clean. I also appreciated being able to check in and complete all forms online ahead of time.
I made an appointment online and was seen soon after I arrived. The medical staff were amiable and attentive. It was a good visit.
Great experience there for a rapid Covid test! We’ve been there before and every time every one is so nice. The lady working the front desk was so accommodating and friendly, and the nurses and doctors were so easy, knowledgeable and made the process smooth. Definitely recommend this urgent care if you find yourself in need!
The front desk associate was kind and well spoken despite the high traffic of patients. The clinical associate that triaged me was extremely efficient and knowledgeable as this part of my experience was speedy. The female NP who assessed and treated me handled our interaction with an extraordinary amount of compassion and empathy while delivering highly skilled care. I could tell her heart and soul was invested in doing what was best for her patient (me) and she wasn’t afraid to go the extra mile to confirm the best plan of care for my condition. She explained everything to me in details I could understand and even shared a few laughs with me despite my feeling ill. I would return to her over and over again if I could. My only caveat is the wait time. The 3.5 hour wait for my scheduled appointment was not enjoyable yet completely understandable during these unprecedented times. It is not easy for these healthcare associates working several years into this pandemic. We could all use a little more understanding and this staff delivered just that.
I was visiting family in Virginia and was running a fever. I scheduled with NextCare to get checked. I was able to schedule an appointment and pre-register online. When I arrived my wait time was minimal. The Medical Assistant who checked me in was very efficient. The Nurse Practitioner was a delightful lady from Ghana who was very professional and personable. The exam and evaluation was as thorough as could be done with the time restraints in an Urgent Care. The cause of my fever was not determined, but my major concerns were addressed. I will be okay until I am able to return home and schedule with my usual provider.Had my condition been more threatening, I have no doubts that further treatment would have been recommended. My experience with NextCare was excellent. I will happily return there if I have a need in the future. I strongly recommend their service!!
The staff was really nice and treated me great. The doctor was attentive and listened to my concerns he actually made eye contact and didn’t make me feel rushed like most urgent cares tend to do! When he couldn’t treat one of the issues I had he was really good about talking me through the options and what he thought I should do. I would definitely recommend this location.
The customer service was excellent, the technician was very personable, and NP was very knowledgeable and extremely thorough. I will definitely go back if I become ill again.
I have been to several urgent cares in my life. The providers at this one were extremely polite, professional and compassionate. They took care of my medical issue promptly and completely with good follow up advice.
Staff was friendly and helpful; Jennifer was very attentive and engaged in understanding my symptoms as to recommend treatment. She had a warm and welcoming demeanor and I would recommend her and this location to family and friends.
I was very pleased with the website and being able to pre register prior to going to my visit. The website also offered pertinent information with regard to the cost of the visit and how my insurance was going to be billed. During the visit the staff, nurse and doctor were friendly and welcoming. I had an appointment and did not have to wait long to be seen. Everything flowed smoothly and I finished up in no time at all. I am very thankful to have had such a pleasant experience with this urgent care.
I was hesitant to go to NexCare.. I’m so grateful I did!! Excellent care every step of the way!!! I was so sick -the sweet and kind receptionist took care of everything for my visit! Meg RT, triaged me was patient, kind, knowledgeable and efficient and Rene Sanders my NP was kind, thorough, she took her time covered all the bases and assured I had all scripts and next steps reviewed!
This place is struggling. My wife and son came here earlier today for a sports physical. It was a 2 hr wait so they said it would be better to schedule an appointment for later. So we showed back up at 4:30 for the appointment, waited an hour to be called back, and have been waiting in the room for 40 minutes now. I opened the door to make sure we weren’t forgotten. They assured me they haven’t forgotten about us and that someone would be in soon. This is rough. I already dozed off once. The doc just came in. For a 5 minute visit by the doctor. Ridiculous!
They were fantastic! Very friendly, professional, and accommodating to our needs for a travel COVID Test. Easy to make an appointment and messaging use kept us isolated in our car until it was necessary to come in. My son takes his family there, which is how we heard about Nextcare, and he strongly recommended them to us because of his positive experiences!
The staff was friendly and they took their time to talk with me and made sure I was comfortable with my care options before I departed.
From check in to check out, the whole experience was pleasant! The front desk personnel was very nice and welcoming. The doctor my child was seen by, Dr. Jessica Biagas, was excellent. The doctor was proficient and kind. We were in and out in 20 minutes. I would suggest making an appointment on their website for best results if time is of the essence. Highly recommended location.
I had a positive professional experience when I sought treatment at NEXTCARE.
Doctor was professional. She listened to my concerns and addressed them
Great service! Set up an appointment online, waited about 15 minutes past, called back, they took immediate care of me, the Nurse was AWESOME! Walked out of there feeling 100% better….
No follow up on my childs prescription to have an alternative medication given per insurance company coverage. Never called to let me know. As per my last review Dr more concerned about my childs behavior than her illness, called it allergies. Absolutely not considering allergies are not contagious and I now have whatever she has to which she still has an excessive cough. Dont go here horrible personnel.
Made an appointment for 12:20 and wasn’t seen until 1:45 . The receptionist didn’t even have the courtesy to tell me they were behind schedule. When I asked about the wait she was rude claiming they had other emergencies. There were 3 appointments were scheduled and 5 walk ins on the app. they took every last person before me . I would not recommend this facility!!
We were able to schedule an appointment online. seen right away upon arrival. X-ray capability on site that was quickly read and diagnosed Staff was friendly and knowledgeable… will go there again for emergent health needs
Made an online appointment and still waited an hour and a half to be seen. Not very friendly counter staff and she argued with customers on the phone. Doctor was great but my time is more valuable than that. I would recommend BetterMed. Clean, friendly and youre in and out.
The front desk was friendly. Very efficient, and I was in and out quickly. NP and DR very thorough. Prescriptions were called in immediately. Thankyou.
Waited a little longer than I expected, but after seeing the doctor, she was quick and efficient with taking care of me and I left soon after meeting with her and got everything I needed taken care of.
Nothing but the BADDEST DOCTOR AND NURSES TO HIT THE MF STAGE 4000/10 would def recommend
Great service. From the receptionist to the PA to the doctor!
Quick, thorough, and very professional. I highly recommend it. No one wants to have to sit a long time in a doctor’s office when you aren’t feeling good!! Thank you for taking care of me quickly!!
The staff was really nice. NP Rebecca Thiongo was Phenomenal! She was Exceptional with attention to detail. It’s hard to find someone that shows true compassion and care these days, and she sure did take great care of me. I was amazingly pleased with Her professionalism.
When I went to my appointment, it all ran smoothly. The staff was helpful. The review is just for the people answering the phones. I understand wait times are longer to make appointments, but they’ve all be 20+ minutes of being on hold. This most recent time I wait 30 minutes to make an appointment, and the employee said since her system was updating and she couldn’t help me. I expressed my frustration, stating I waited half an hour on hold so she could help me just for her computer to be updating. Why is the call center running right now if their systems are updating and they’re unable to do what they’re supposed to do? No wonder people are upset. There is no way to make an online appointment, as she said I could just do that once everything came back online, but she wasn’t sure when that would happen. It makes no sense why they have a huge call center for offices. That leads to a lot of frustration for everyone I’m sure. I wasted half an hour, and I don’t think anyone would appreciate that. I understand I could walk in, but wait times are 4+ hours. That’s why I thought I could make an appointment.
I’ve been to various urgent care facilities, and I must say that Next Care is absolutely my favorite. Great service front to back and quick visits and exams without compromising the quality of care. I highly recommend them!
There is nothing urgent about this “Urgent Care.” I was told to be 15 minutes early to my appointment which I was. I waited over and hour and a half to be taken back into one of the rooms in which I had to wait an additional 30 plus minutes. Do not waste your time. Anything on here listing above 1 stars is a bot.
The wait was longer than I expected, but understandable due to it being flu season and the rise in covid+ cases in my area. I was able to wait in my car, and was called when it was my turn to be seen by the physician. My exam was quick and thorough. The triage tech was kind, checked vitals quickly, and had me in a room within minutes. The physician arrived quickly, examined me, and i waited on test results which came back in about 30 mins.My experience was good, and Ill definitely return if necessary, to avoid the over burdened emergency rooms.
I would like to say this is the most professional center that I have been to in a very long time. When you have issues and problems and you don’t know what’s going on with you. It can be very overwhelming. With that said I would like to specifically name three individuals at this facility. First, Michael at the front desk was amazing, very professional and knew exactly what to do. Next Misty, the medical assistant was also amazing, attentive, and patient. Finally Dr. Jessica Biagas was very thorough, had great bedside manner, was very intuitive, knew exactly what to do, very caring and extremely professional!! I highly recommend this center over other centers and emergency care facilities in this area. There was hardly any wait time and the entire process from A to Z went smoothly. Thank you team for being so caring and professional!!!
I would have given a five, but my prescriptions werent called in. I called but you were closed. I will call again in the morning. Receptionist was professional and courteous. Dr. Amin was.knowlegable and had a good bed side manner. By the way, I found phoneI left it at home.
Although our wait was rather long with just one person in front of us, the staff made up for it. The receptionist was very helpful and communicative and the doctor had our children laughing the entire time.
Customer service was exceptional. Went in for a sore throat I thought might be strep. Wait time was minimal (& I was a walk-in), during which time I was able to complete all the necessary info via my smartphone. I loved the nurse practitioner (James), & appreciated his easy dialogue in discussing my issues & concerns, diagnosis & treatment options. An all-around positive experience, from check-in (I wish Id asked her name!), thru *triage* (Joe wasnt chatty but was efficient & patient as I offered info & explanation), to exam (loved James), to check-out (where we laughed so much but I STILL forgot to ask her name!). Highly recommend. The staff made it a delightful *visit*!
Great experience. I was a walk-in, and they informed me the wait would be awhile. I live close by and asked if they would notify me ahead of time when my name would be called. They were happy to oblige. I was seen right away and the appointment took as long as expected with extremely helpful advice and recommendations. They are very willing to accommodate if you just speak with them. Highly recommend.
Don’t bother setting an appointment because you’ll still wait hours. They didn’t bother to tell me there was a multi-hour wait when checking in. After an hour wait, I went inside and they let me know there was still a 45 minute wait. I called the urgent care down the road and they were able to get me in immediately. I do not recommend this facility.
Although I had an appointment and had to wait at least 45 mins past the appointed time. I will say everyone was very pleasant. Once I was seen things moved very efficiently and smooth. Good job to the staff
I go to NextCare when I need to see someone fast. They are always kind, caring and efficient. I also like that you can make an appointment or walk in. The staff is polite and thorough.
I was greeted immediately upon entering NextCare. The check in process went smoothly and efficiently. There were only two people ahead of me. I was seen by the physician who was professional, courteous and thorough. My prescriptions were sent to the pharmacy and I was able to pick them up in an hour.
It was pretty slow when we went in around 2 PM. I have a 1 yr old that wasn’t feeling well and worried about sitting in a waiting room full of more germs but I filled out the paperwork and went straight back. I saw a the doctor within 15 mins and was out within 45 mins. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Luckily my little one just has a cold but it was well worth the satisfaction of knowing she’s okay. I would have rather taken here to her primary but NextCare was a good substitute and cheaper than and ER bill.
Slow wait time. Poor bedside manner with triage and provider. Came in with chest tightness and pain, provider only listened to back for lungs and prescribed steroids. Headed to ER now
Professional as always. Very knowledgeable, had all the answers
My only gripe about this urgent care facility is the insanely long wait time to see a doctor. The reason for the 4 stars. I scheduled my appointment in advance with a NextCare call center rep for 3:00p on Friday, 1/14/2022. The call center rep said that I could also go at anytime as a walk-in. I decided to go as a walk-in shortly after 11a, but was told by the front desk receptionist that the wait time to see a doctor would be 2-3 hours. So, I decided to wait for my regularly scheduled 3p appointment.I arrived on time for my appointment, but was told by the front desk receptionist that there was only one doctor that was seeing all patients, and for me to wait in my car and I would receive a text to let me know when to come inside to see the doctor. I wasnt sick or anything, I just needed the doctor to do a visual inspection of my ears. 30 minutes passed, so I went inside to see if it was my turn to see the doctor. An hour passed and I was still waiting to see the doctor. 2 hours passed and I was still waiting to see a doctor. 2 1/2 hours passed and I was still waiting to see a doctor. I almost gave up, but since I had waited for almost 3 hours, I decided to wait it out and be done with it. After waiting for almost 3 hours, my name was finally called. After my brief visit in the triage room, I was told to wait in another room and someone would see me there.Amanda, the nurse practitioner came in and greeted me and asked what was the nature of my visit. I told her I would like my ears checked to see if there were any bugs in my ear, because I had been hearing unusual noises in my ear. Amanda is one of the kindest and most thorough medical workers that I have ever encountered. I had previously gone to Mary Washington ER in Fredericksburg to have my ears checked and the doctor who saw me was absolutely horrible - the worst doctor Ive ever seen. That doctor completely rushed my visit and barely checked my ears. I left that ER feeling used & abused. That doctor doesnt even compare to Amanda - Amanda gets greater than 5 stars from me.Amanda, if you read this, I would like to thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Thanks for making me feel like you cared and was concerned about me. Thank you for being extremely detailed and for thoroughly checking my ears and assuring me that there were no bugs in my ears. Amanda told me that she saw a little fluid in my ears, which is what I could possibly be hearing. Amanda told me things such as post nasal drip could cause fluid in the ears since the ears and nose are connected. I do have post nasal drip, so I knew that Amanda was in the right ball park and that this is likely why Im hearing the noises. Amanda recommended Flonase & Zyrtec, which I have been using and taking for a long time, but stopped for about a month. I have since started back with the Flonase & Zyrtec.
This is my 2nd time going to this Next care Urgent Care ! I adore these people ! They are super nice , friendly , helpful chill people ! (Seriously my kind of people) I’m going to forever come here. The wait is quick (and if it’s not they are super honest about it) I came for my daughters school physical I swear in all her 12 years of life this was by far the best , nicest quickest physical I have ever had to do ! I can go on on just come here for all your needs ! Awesome group of staff !! ❤️❤️❤️
The provider took the time to thoroughly explain everything she found and the best way to proceed with care. She was relaxed, down to earth and incredibly knowledgeable. I have had many experiences where I have felt rushed, judged or invalidated by providers and she was the TOTAL opposite. I will definitely be going there for my family’s urgent care needs.
The staff was friendly and quick. The wait time was very short.
Made my appt.online early this morning. My Primary Care Doc was on vacation this week. Couldnt wait til next week. Appt.took an hour or less. Nexcare was a good experience over - all. Would recommend!
Wait was not overly long... maybe 45 minutes. Dr got to the diagnosis very quickly. She transmitted my scrip to the nearby Walgreens immediately.Recommendations for improvement:1. Reception procedure is a bit confusing. The lady took my military ID as my proof of insurance. After I had completed the paperwork, I asked for my ID. She got a wee bit huffy a mm d told me that I could have it back once she got me entered in the system. That took 45 minutes. Know that military people are pretty protective of our IDs...I cant even get into the building where I work without mine. Be respectful of that and reduce your patients anxiety by explaining clearly what is happening during processing.2. The waiting room is ridiculously cold.
Literally crying as I’m writing this. I made an appointment and was told to check in 10 mins before I waited over an hour and a half to get tested for COVID!!! I’m pregnant and extremely sick. The lady at the counter was no help and showed no empathy. I will never come back.On top of that i had to get up and use the bathroom twice but They don’t even provide soap in the bathroom ! What kind of place is this. I will not be coming back and absolutely do not recommend this place at all. If i could give it zero stars i would !
The flu season is busy, and long waits to see a doctor. Using the app to know what your wait time is was wonderful. We had a nice lunch nearby and relaxed. When there were 3 ahead of us, we went back. Made it almost enjoyable!
Nurse was amazing! She’s the Best I’ve ever talked to and I’ve met a lot of them in the past.
I went for a rapid COVID test and the location was short staffed and incredibly overworked, resulting in a long wait. It would have been easy to become frustrated but the staff was so kind and profusely apologized for the wait, despite looking completely exhausted themselves. Be kind to health care workers!
Worst urgent care ever. They couldnt even send my daughters prescription to the pharmacy today. I even called hours after the visit to them and the pharmacy to have them send it. Now theyre closed and apparently nothing they can do. I guess my daughter just has to continue suffering until tomorrow when I will have to go again to the office and make them give me a paper script. Twice I told them which pharmacy and come to find out they sent it to a completely different pharmacy which failed through fax. This is the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. If the fax failed why was there no follow up? Why wouldnt you call the customer and ask for another pharmacy? Had you done that you would have realized you didnt even have the correct pharmacy. begin
Brought my son here due to a fever and a cold. We were seen within 15 minutes and Thomas who took our vitals was able to be quick yet warm and personable so we didnt feel like we were being rushed through the pipeline. We werent in the room for a few minutes when Dr. Mallick came in. He was so friendly and kind, connected with my son and made us feel heard and comfortable. He explained everything from his diagnosis to why he was prescribing the treatment and why he wanted to do further testing. He would pause and ask me if I had any questions or concerns about anything. The whole team managed to be quick and thorough yet were able to connect with us and were so warm and caring so that we didnt feel rushed out the door. Love that there is a place we can go to in a pinch when we cant get into our primary care provider on the same day.
Primary care was excellent! In and out in less than 30 minutes.
Sure they had quite a wait, but in the age of COVID that is beyond them. I went in with a badly sprained ankle, they were quick and efficient once I got brought back with X-rays, getting me a brace and making sure my crutches were set up properly. Joe was awesome too, very friendly and helpful despite what must be a frustrating job.
Not quick, even with pre-registration, but thorough and friendly once seen. And to be fair, most medical facilities are overwhelmed lately. There are definitely improvements that could be made with the system they use, but I don’t think they have any control over that. All in all, I’m pleased with the care and reception I received.
Although it was a long wait it was definitely worth it. Moved to Fredericksburg two years ago and have been coming here for any issues or concerns. The front Desk lady that was working today was very courteous and very nice although she had to turn away a few people that had been waiting in line for quite some time. Due to the current pandemic and issues it’s understandable that locations could be limited and would recommend getting in line early to be part of the first five walkins to be seen. Thank you Nextcare team!
All of the staff was friendly and accommodating. Dr. Jessica was very compassionate and caring, not only with me, but also my son. She was thorough in her explanations of what was going on with us both. Typically, when my son is sick, I take him to the pediatric urgent care, but I would absolutely return to Nextcare Urgent Care if it meant Dr. Jessica would be taking care of him.
My wife was feeling ill so she decided it was time to see the Dr. As we have in the our family we have used next care with always a great experience. This morning we showed up and stood in the lobby for about 10 min and no one was working the front desk. I could look through the window that views down the hallway that leads to the examination rooms and see a worker. We stood in the empty lobby for about 3 to 4 minutes and still no one waited on us. We quickly exited next care and went to the newly built primary urgent care center.Im under the opinion there are plenty of urgent care centers that we dont have to ever attend a next care.Robbie Wilson
The Doctor, Nurses and Receptionist is always very nice. I been in 2 different times and both times they were all very respectful and nice. I like the Doctor she is so kind and listen to you which is a plus some of the places I have been in I felt like I was inconveniencing them.
Friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!Update: I stand by original review, however for the second time in a row, I have come in the morning finding the physician to be significantly late (greater than 15 minutes). Once she came to work, everything was great, but it’s disappointing that professionals are consistently late.
I love Nextcare Urgent care. I will never go to patient first again and wait 3 or more hours. Best experience ever. You can actually make an appointment. And I didnt wait longer than 10 minutes. I was out in about 25 i believe. I am so thankful I found you guys. Thanks for everything! :)
I come to this clinic often. Its a good alternative when you can not get into see your primary care doctor. I rarely wait longer than 15 minutes to see a provider. I like that I can check in online before I leave my house and be first in line when I get there. Dr. Brown specifically is always great with not only myself but my 3 kids as well. My only complaint is that I cant make appointments and have Dr. Brown as my PCP, because if I could, I would.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The staff was very friendly and was able to help me immediately. The wait time was very quick and Jessica was attentitive and took her time to listen and understand the problem, which reflects how compassionate and caring she is. Very satisfied with my first visit there and planning on using their services in the future whenever needed.
My husband and I went to have a definitive test, we had arrived at 12:15, and they told us to wait in the back of the building, and they told us they were an hour behind that was acceptable to us, but the problem was they made us waiting for two in half hours. After we got tired to wait for that long, I went to talk about the situation, they told me they were too busy, and we went out to wait one more hour just to have a test the Taking one minute. That is not acceptable to make someone to way that long period of time.
Visited on Sunday 3/14/21. I was in a lot of pain from a fall. - hip bone feared that I broke it again. Pain was excruciating. Service was excellent at desk, from all staff including x-ray techs thru getting results and directions for home care- no break in hip, just bruised bone. Highly recommend! Short wait time.
On Aug 16, 2021 my son had a appointment for 12pm to have his 3 year old daughter tested for Covid-19 virus. We arrived at 11:30am and checked in. At 12:20pm my son went in side to see when she would be seen. He was told she was next. At 1:30pm we drove away toward home, NextCare called at 2:27pm to say bring her around back to be tested. My son told them we had to leave and they said okay the appointment is canceled. They had posted the number of walk in with no appointments and it was apparent they were being seen first. This is disgraceful way to run a medical practice and I plan to report this to the medical board in Richmond, Va. NextCare needs to have their license revoked. I will never recommend or go to a NextCare facility again.
Great and helpful experience. The front desk was very kind and helped out!! The doctor Amanda was quick and knew exactly what the issue was and helped immediately. Even when they are short staffed they did a great job overall!
I did not catch the name of the lady that helped us today, but she was very friendly and professional. I mention this specifically because my last visit here was not as pleasant. More importantly, she listened to everything I had to say. I usually go to patient first. NextCare is much closer to my house. The main difference I see is that NextCare billed my portion of the service upfront (if you can afford to pay it at the time of the visit). Patient first now has you sign an authorization to debit your credit card, scheduling it for a future date. We were just there last week. The way it was not very long at all, but they did not have a very busy lobby either.
Everyone there was very nice .I was feeling very bad ! But I didn’t have to wait long at all . I was very impressed. I will be going back in future when I need medical treatment.
In and out in half an hour. The doctor was friendly and explained everything to me clearly. Best experience I have had at an urgent care EVER.
Every staff member we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful! The place looks a little dated but the care my son received was amazing which is the most important thing.
We had amazing service! Fantastic doctors and the front desk personnel were incredibly friendly!! Highly recommend using them if you need their services.
I injured my upper back and was in excruciating pain. My wait time was pretty standard and the front desk person was polite and pleasant. After my vitals were taken, I saw Dr. Jessica Biagas. Due to the late hour, I kind of expected to be rushed, but Jessica took time to listen to me, examine my injury, and then explain what she believed to be the cause. I felt like she cared about helping me get better rather than giving me a hurried diagnosis, throwing prescriptions my way, and pushing me out the door. We came up with a treatment plan, complete with exercises and medication, and I left feeling like I was finally going to get better and be able to sleep. Im so thankful for healthcare providers that treat their patients well! I would recommend her to anyone.
I come here often with my kids when they are sick. Staff is always nice, and they all seem to care. Good bedside manner. My only complaint is the wait time. Normally a few hours.
Despite numerous people coming for COVID-19 test, the medical staff demonstrated patience and gracefully examined me and ultimately resolved my issue. Truly professional. Great service! I kept saying thank you. Im grateful to have such professionals so close to my home.
In the last month, we have had to visit this location 3 times. All three times were excellent visits starting with the front desk (ashamed I cannot recallher name! Long dark hair and so friendly). This location was attentive my parents also used it bc, well my children got them sick! They had the same things to say. Wonderful staff! Thank you!
Staff was awesome very nice and we received the best care. Never been treated so good in such a bad time. Will never go anywhere else and will totally recommend this location.
Created an apt online for 8in the morning. I received a comfirmation text. Arrived 15 mmin early no one was at the clinic. We are from out of town with a sick child super frustrating...
Everyone was super nice. Nursing staff was very patient, not rushing g you through and taking the time to listen to your questions and assisting you in every way possible. Would definitely go back to this particular one if ever needed again.
Everyone was friendly and service was quick. I’ve brought my son here as well and they’ve also dealt with him great as well. Only downside is that it’s the only urgent care in the area so it can get busy. Best to check in online to avoid getting bumped by people who did.
We went in for testing and were told we would have to wait for availability since we did not have an appointment. We waited maybe 5 minutes. My 15 ye old didnt even get bored enough to look at his phone. Excellent front desk, nurse and dr! D
I have been to this urgent care in more than one occasion and I have always received stellar service from the front desk staff as well as the providers but today must have been an off day after the service I received from the lady at the front I don’t think my family or I will be back. I work for healthcare I’m a first responder so I know how stressful it can be to have patients non stop I understand the long wait times and the waiting in your car what I don’t understand is how you can be rude and express to me that I can fill out paperwork and wait or go somewhere else! Yes! She said just like that! Then she called my phone and ask if I didn’t want to fill out I would be skipped and taken off a list. This was awful my organized participants in a lot of functions throughout our community I will be sure to mention not to visit there.
This place is clean and neat. The staff seems a little short handed but they are very friendly and respectful. The only improvements I can see are the TV is really small and you have to ask to turn it on plus the wait times are kind of long but there are online options to check in before you arrive which I haven’t tried yet. Plus this place seems popular so with popular places, wait times are to be expected.
I usually come in the evenings or weekends. I like the check-in online and waiting in the car option. The staff is very attentive and amicable. They have patience and help me understand my symptoms and treatment.
I made an appointment, and was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time. The employee at the front desk, the nurse, and the doctor were kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. Overall, excellent experience. I was there less than 45 minutes
Even though we had an appointment, and still waited over an hour, the staff are just amazing. The front desk checked multiple times to see when we would be sent back and the drs/nurse practitioners are just so caring.
My husband had an appointment and still had to wait an hour to be seen by the doctor. After discharge his prescription was never sent to this preferred pharmacy like it was supposed to. When I tried to follow-up and get the prescription there is no one available to answer the phones. The least the clinic can do is fix the issues they cause and they cant do that because they care busy helping other customers. Who wants to be helped when it means waiting an unacceptable amount of time when you have an appointment and have issues getting your medications?? I would give them zero stars if I could but I cant.
