I have been going to this doctor for several years now and I have always had a very good experience with him and staff. They have been very supportive and always seem to care about you and your health. I would recommend this doctor to anyone. He gave me my options and let me know that it would be up to me and when I made my decision on what I wanted to do about 3 years ago he supported my decision and led me to the right provider. I continue to go to his office for follow up visits and it’s always a pleasant experience.
Very confused over there, saying I cancelled appointments when I didn’t. Frustrating to deal with. Made statements like “show up to your appointment next time”. I have never canceled or no-showed, they said I did. I believe I am in their system twice, if they would do more checking, they would see that. There was no reason for them to be rude. The people that work here on Wednesdays need better training. Patients are going through a lot, should not have to deal with attitudes as well. We can do better!!
First visit; very nice staff. Only setback was all the paperwork needed to be filled out; enough to make up a book! Kidding aside, fully understand the need for all the paperwork. Should be much easier and faster on next visit.
Though the doctors and nurses are both friendly and take plenty of time answer any questions. If I could I leave the doctors and nurses a separate review Id give them 5 stars. However, I fail to understand why every time I have a prescription they fail to send it and I have to physically show up a 2nd time or have to call to get my prescriptions sorted out. This costs extra time and money my end. This has happened 3 times now, which is totally unacceptable.Add to this the exact same thing has now happened with a surgery appointment. The receptionist(the one who after seeing the doctor is supposed to send off prescriptions, not the one who you sign in with when you first arrive)definitely needs additional training or to be let go, as she literally acted over the phone like I had never even been a patient, she told my girlfriend she had no records for me.. Ive been there 4 separate times. Twice for appointments and 2 other times to get my prescriptions sorted out after finding out she had never sent them.. So most likely today I have to once again show up in person for a thing that should have been as simple as message from my pharmacist and a email from my Doctor setting up the finalized surgery date.DO BETTER!!!?
I like this place because all professionals they did a good job to me and I will recommend to everybody. This place is awesome. Cool people working there and they have a gentle and prompt attendance to everybody. I love this place specially, the whole group number one the doctor and everybody at the office Crew, I will keep it for my future reference for me and my family. Thank you very much again. I really appreciate all your help again. God bless you guys.
Very busy. Plan an extra hour wait. Professional staff. Would have liked expectations for a follow up to be expressed more clearly.
Office and medical staff were courteous and professional. I felt that I was in competent care. My only complaint was the wait time.
The PA listened to my concerns on the 3 prostate procedures (urolift, rezeum, green light). Had an excellent discussion on the pros and cons of all 3. For my concerns the green light would work best for me. Thanks to the PA for helping make a comfortable decision. The office staff was excellent, they were polite and efficient.
Dr Kundavaram, his PA-C’s, and staff are all Top-Notch individuals. You can’t find a nicer group of people working together to diagnose, treat and set up appointments for their patients. I drive down from Prescott Valley to see Dr K. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my urological issues. He is thorough, professional, knowledgeable and highly skillful in his practice. He takes his time with each patient; always ensuring that he will use the most appropriate treatment plan. Highly Recommend AUUA!
It was a great experience dealing with Academic Urology & Urogynecology of Arizona Glendale Office. Hillary Long of Dr. Kundavarams office went the second mile to address my medical needs. She & all the personal were very efficient & kind.
Long wait time HOWEVER the Medical Assistants, nursing staff, PA’s and the Doctor were all top tier in terms of knowledge and possessing a positive attitude. All the front office staff were very friendly.
In the past my visits have been very positive this time not so much. The PA I saw obviously had spent less than two seconds reading my chart and really had no idea why I was there. He quickly launched into tests he wanted to do (much like a commissioned sales man) and never gave me a straight answer to my questions passing everything off with we like to do…. I am now looking forward to lab bill for a PSA, a urine culture, and a digital prostate exam and I still don’t know if my UTI was taken care of by the previous road of antibiotics. On top of that I’m not convinced I had a UTI in the first place.
Dr Schlaifer is the best. Even with bad news she explains all options... very honest, no nonsense approach which I appreciated.
I am pleased with my office visit. They are very efficient. And I learned things about my condition that I didnt know before. Thank you so much.
The wait time was minimal, the staff were polite and professional and Dr. Schlaifer actually made notes regarding my specific requests.
It was quick signed in 5 minutes later I was brought back to the back room 5 minutes later and I was walking out the door thank you very much
I really like the Glendale office because its closer to me, but its really hard to get appointments there. Most of the time I have to go to the Scottsdale office.
Everything was done perfesonaly. I was very pleased with my results and the follow thru with what was needed.
The Office is generally overwhelmed by the quantity of patients and checking in or out and backs up while the staff try to address the patients needs. Just plan extra time for the visit and a little patience and the rest will go smoothly. Dr Chandran is great, professional and very skilled. He takes care of business and does his best to minimize pain resulting from procedures.
Every call to the office required a minimum of 25 minutes hold just to get to the operator, who would then transfer me for another lengthy hold or merely take a message for a return call that would truly NEVER be returned. Today I am trying to obtain my records to transfer to another doctor. I was number 4 in queue waiting for the operator for 28 minutes. She then transferred me to medical records, where I was number 22 in queue. I have ended up driving to the office. I made 3 appointments to review test results, came to the appointments, only then to discover that the results were not in and eventually learned the tests had not been properly/timely ordered or followed up on. I’m a patient guy. I do not jump from service provider; but, this conglomerate has major administrative issues. The people are fine. They do not appear to have adequate resources, human or otherwise, to run the practice.
Great service, always have appointments available when I need to. Thank you Dr. Kundavaram..
Doctors and nurses are fantastic. But try and get a response from scheduling desk about scheduling you next procedure is next to impossible ..
Professional, knowledgable , patient oriented, answered all questions patiently. Definitely five stars!
Dr. Schlaifer was very attentive, however short the visit was. I was in with her all of five minutes.
Nice office. All were very professional and caring. Dr. Schaffer and her nurse were kind, caring and reduced my stress level.
I was taken earlier than my appointment. The personnel where friendly and professional. I actually left 1 minute before my scheduled appointment.
If I could put zero stars I would. Trying to get seen for a Kidney stone that won’t pass. Hour in a half hold time just to be told that my condition wasn’t serious enough to be seen and when I asked to speak to a supervisor the receptionist told me no then put me back on hold. Very unprofessional and rude.
Everyone was very helpful. Dr listened to my concerns and explained to me in detail.
I highly recommend Academy of Urology & Urogynecology of Arizona along with Dr. Kundavaram. I received prompt, professional, and personalized service during both of my visits to the office in Glendale. I will utilize their services in the future.2/22 Now I have had a third, follow up visit, and continue to appreciate the friendly and informed service I receive. Thanks to everybody at the office for their assistance.8/22 I have had another 6 month check up and am still completely pleased with all the interactions from office personnel and medical staff.2/23 I continue to be grateful and satisfied with the service received from AUUA.8/23 My sixth visit. Still find everyone to be very professional, caring, attentive, and accommodating.8/24 Seventh visit. I am still very appreciative of the staffs caring attitude.
Had to wait a long time to see doctor but otherwise fine. Got good answers from doctor.
I’m very pleased with my doctor and the nurses they are very well at helping the patients explaining Everything with detail very pleased that they know when they walk in room my history anything that’s going on and strive to do the best they can to make everything positive. I would definitely recommend them to anybody
I was late but they worked me in. Everyone was so polite and nice. I first saw the PA who was nice, listen to my symptoms & said what that doctor would do. Then the doctor came in and she explained where we are going from here step by step. I mentioned how far her office is and she said a plan that I felt comfortable with. Overall I had a great experience (except for the far drive).
Everyone was wonderful. Understanding and helpful. Dr Wong was caring, Understanding spent time explaining everything and was very reassuring.
As my first appointment at this office with this doctor, I had a great experience. I had a very short wait. All staff was very professional and pleasant, introducing themselves and explaining what they were going to do prior to carrying out their duty. The NP was thorough in her exam and answered all my questions. I felt very comfortable. Then the Doctor came into the room and explained in detail what would happen this visit and the next visit. She listened to me, and educated me on the tests and procedure, and left me feeling quite comfortable with my decision in choosing this office to care for me.
The best urologist out there can’t see how well they took care of me for an after couldn’t be more happier❤️
Dr. Wong is caring and very informative. She helps guide you to find the right decision for your situation.
I waited a very long time to see the Dr at my last appointment. Otherwise I am very pleased
My experience with amy schlafer was horrendous. My mom has been on multiple drug trials and nothing worked. She went a month without any medications because the medication that was sent to the pharmacy could not get approved. When coming in to talk to her about it she said that she can’t do anything about it because it is base on the insurance. The medication was sent in on 12/12 and I couldn’t get anyone at the office to answer me back until 12/29 (when they submit the pa). Now 01/16 we still haven’t heard back or gotten the medication. When I ask Amy she just said that there is nothing she can do about it because the insurance haven’t responded and she have no idea what is on our formulary sheet. So within that time period she took no action to help my mom get the medication or even try to send in alternative medications. No communication on their part. Absolutely nothing. Then when we were scheduling the next appointment, I heard her say something about how the next appointment is to confirm our decision on a procedure. So I asked the receptionist if we need to make that appointment to make a decision; as in if we can make the decision over the phone with them so that the next time we come in we can maybe get started on the procedure quicker. Instead of letting me explain or answer my question she threaten to not give us the next medication to try if we dont want the appointment.Amy was super rude and was in such a hurry to see other patients. She was very condescending and spoke down to me the whole time, as if I am really dumb. I do not feel like my mom was given the best patient care, nor was she advocated for. It felt like my mom was another tick mark off of her checklist of patience to see and it is really sad to know that my mom has to suffer for so long.Run as far as you can from this place
Got me in quickly. Doctor really listened and took time to explain next steps.
I am a new patient and come with complicated issues. I felt heard, concern, and cared for. Possible causes, treatments and procedures were thoroughly explained. My questions were answered. I felt very safe in their care and ongoing plan for me.
Love this place! Keri Wong best doctor ever she haloed me so much! Staff so kind and professional, I had to change insurance this year and the one thing I would not compromise on was finding a plan that included this practice.
Staff was friendly and Dr. Amy Schlaifer was through and even willing to help with maybe something else. She gave me the option to wait on it and deal with the main problem.
I initially made an appt for my spouse bc the good reviews i liked the dr and pa very nice however we were told no news is good news …… nobody ever followed up on results of imaging my husband again had symptoms and i called to get a copy of imaging as I’m a NP myself and found out he has a kidney stone (small) but regardless this was an abnormal result and should have been made known to us 8 weeks ago when we had the imaging gone very disappointed not the way I’d follow up for my patients
Dr. Kundavaram is so knowledgeable, comforting and professional Im glad that I chose him as my Dr.
Personnel are polite & professional. I really appreciate Hillary who takes time to hear my concerns & makes suggestions to improve my problem.
My experience with Doctor Amy Schlaifer, her team and staff members was simply Amazing. Yes, sometimes the wait time when it comes to procedures are long, but be patient. They are not rushing through the procedures and if you ask me Im totally fine with that. I would want them to take their time to ensure that everything goes well with myself and each of their patients. I cant thank them enough!!!
Although no one informed me that the office address was NOT visible on the outside of bldg, I found it by stopping to ask several surrounding businesses and arrived on time. ( it’s inside and upstairs of a bldg with a complete different address ) Google and Mapquest blew their minds trying to assist me.I saw Dr. Schlaifer and staff in this Prescott office for an invasive scope procedure; they were kind to me.The office was full of trash in all possible baskets - hallway full of boxes, desk areas were completely covered in a mass of papers. The procedure room looked as though 300 patients were seen just before me. The exam table was the only clean area. The Deer Valley office was so much cleaner.
I very much appreciate Dr. Schlaifer and her staff. They are always kind and considerate of the patients they help. In a world where theres not much trust, this office is very trustworthy. Im glad I found them. 😊❤️
The employees and medical staff were great. Everyone knew what they were doing and the overall the experience was pleasant.
Aside from being seen 40 minutes after my appointment the experience was uneventful
They saw me in about 10 minutes and were very attentive.
The doctor seems very knowledgeable, but she is certainly not miss congeniality.
The doctor and his nurse were extremely patient, gentle. I understood exactly what they’re doing and what my next steps are..
I got to appt an hr early and within 10 minutes they called me in.
Great doctor and staff...made me feel every comfortable in a usually uncomfortable situation. Explained all procedures in a very easily understandable way. All staff very knowledgeable and professional. Definitely recommend this office and personnel!
Dr. Schlaifer is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I am very happy I made the choice to select Dr. Schlaifer as my urologist. She does not hesitate to share test results and her plan of care. Ihave complete confidence in her.
My issues were taken care of. Professional atmosphere and demeanor. Pleased with my results. Hoping for continued relief . I would recommend this office.
I was seen right away. Friendly and professional staff. My doctor took time to explain everything to me. I would recommend her to others!
Short wait times. Pleasant and knowledgeable staff!
Staff friendly, and professional. Did not see Dr. on this visit. In past have been very satisfied with his knowledge, professionalism, and friendliness.
Had an appointment with Dr Kundavaram. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable. He thoroughly explained my options and helped me to understand my choices. He is an excellent competent clinician.
I’m only going to provide my personal experience in hopes others would be forewarned. I made an initial appointment and was scheduled with Dr Kaplan. The office is professional and efficient. Wait times on the phone aren’t great but that is many offices. I got in a room quickly and was seen quickly. At my first visit I left a specimen and spoke to a PA briefly and the doctor briefly about my possible plan of care. I let the MD know that my reason for not having all recommended testing in the past was money but the doctor assured me that it would not be the same with his office. About a week later I saw the claim hit my insurance with a price tag of almost $2,000! I’d never been told that the specimen testing to be done cost so much. The office manager then told me the billing dept would work with me. A discount of 25% is all they gave me. I have no desire to deal with this office that would not fully inform of costs prior to doing tests. They really did the wrong thing.
Dr. Schlaifer has done more comprehensive diagnostics than any of my prior doctors. Working on remedies for my concerns. Highly recommend her.
Waiting room was rather crowded but in a reasonable amount of time I was taken to a exam room seen by a group member and then the Dr. Set up future plans etc. And sent on my way.
No issues. Appointment was for 9:45,& I checked in at 9:15. Filled out PAGES of asked for info, signed and printed my name at least 11 times. But I under stand the need of business. I think I will have my own stamp made of my printed and signed name.I was seen close to 10am. No complaints, just sad for the DOC not to be staying in Prescott.I think she was only in the office with me for 10 minutes. Correct me if I am wrong. But I liked the DOC.I will plan to follow up with her after having the tests she ordered completed. I will choose the office on Deer Valley Rd.What is the phone # there?Suzy Godfrey 07.06.1938Last 4 of my SocialSecurity - 2116
First off they helped me get way better with the problem I was having. They knew more and did better things for me than the emergency room did for me Gave me a larger bag for my urine which made life easier and prescribed flo max for me. Staff and doctors were kind and very helpful. Great experience for me at this office And I am urinating a lot which means they helped me a lot
Very professional, scheduled appointment with NO issues. Staff is exceptional, personable and minimal wait time! Doctors were thorough, talked about the process so all of my questions were answered. Thank you for EXCELLENT service and professional doctor/staff.
This was my first time. Dr. Amy Schlaifer answered all my questions and then some. Her staff was ver polite. I look forward to working with them in the very near future.
Other than waiting the PA explain everything
I was treated very well, the staff team was very friendly and helpful.I would like to mention Dr. Chandan Kundavaram. Very professional and intelligent. He makes sure that the procedure goes with minimum discomfort.Kudos to him!
The best experience in making an appointment. The kindest and most helpful ever. The doctor’s visit was informative, she was kind, helpful, and spent time with me to give me the best feedback and guidance. I am so grateful to have connected with this office and doctor. Can’t possibly be any better in experience.
Do not go here unless you want to get surprise fees!We scheduled my husband’s vasectomy here and we told them over the phone we were paying out of pocket and they quoted us $500 for the procedure and $100 if he needed nitrogen to ease his anxiety or whatever. So we went in for the consultation and paid $220 which they said would go toward the bill. When he got there the day of the procedure they said it would $600. My husband and I were confused since we had already paid $220. They then informed us that what we paid for was just the consult fee, never did anyone mention that to us on the phone or at the consult. So whatever we paid it since we needed it done. Then a few weeks later we get a bill saying we still owe $180! Like for what?! So I called and they said they would get back to me since the person that handles that had left for the day at 2:30pm. My husband will be gng elsewhere for his follow up appointments because these people are just trying to screw us over. What happened to integrity and honesty. I will be contacting the better business bureau as well.
Dr Amy is great. They need to get a new phone system that works. You can never make an appointment like normal offices have.
Im a bladder cancer patient, and Dr Kundavaram is the best urologist. Kind and caring on your level. Great staff. The waiting room is a bit small, but thats just nitpicking.
Front office pleasant, knowledgeable.Dr. Wong is the best, takes the time you need, explains things well, listens to you and ask if you have questions, it took awhile to get my initial appointment but I’m glad I waited so I got her as my Dr.I highly recommend
The wait time was extremely fast. The visit itself was efficient and all questions answered as well as a game plan has been made on continuous care. Very happy with the choice made in seeing them.
I absolutely love the staff and Dr Amy Schlaifer, MD. She answers all my questions and gives a positive impact to the visit.
Very friendly and efficient staff. PA and Doctor was able to explain things easy for me to understand.
People are polite. Dr. talks to me, not at me.
Brionna at the front desk is excellent. She goes above and beyond to help you and is very friendly.
Other then sharing your life with 17 people in the waiting room ,which was actually just fine, always treated well and professionally.
Started out somehow showing up 2 hrs early and not really knowing why. So I settle in for a long wait, catching up on the incredible late breaking news. Time went by pretty quick. I was talking with Mark in no time. Before I realized it l was happy with the two way we had and was headed home. Said hi to Dr Amy on the way out, that felt good. Anyway, Im happy with my progress and actually looking forward to our next session.
The front desk and nurses were very professional and compassionate. I recommend this practice to family and friends.
My first visit and these people were so helpful and professional. Going to the Drs. can be scary but I completely trust these professionals. Thanks for caring and being there to help all of us!
At first my husband and I were confused about the purpose of the appointment. But the staff & Dr. Schlaifer kindly explained more clearly in person. All went very well.
I was a patient of Dr. Kundavaram . I am no longer a patient due to the way Nicole treated me. I requested my Medical Records for one of my Primary Care Dr’s who didn’t have any medical records from the surgeries I received at Dr. Kundavarams office. I haven’t been seen at this office. I always go to the Sun City office, but since medical records told me to pick it up at this office - I tried. Somebody at medical records told me to go before 3:30 pm. I live about 45 minutes away from this office, and having a medical condition; I couldn’t drive, so I had my oldest daughter drove me. Well, I went during their lunch break (I wasn’t informed what time their lunch break was since Medical Records told me to go before 3:30 pm) if I would have know; I would have never gone during their lunch break. The two women at the front desk were rude and very unprofessional. They didn’t bother to take my name and date of birth. Nicole was stuffing her face while she nodded; NO, she would not help me because it was her lunch break. She said, “I’m here, but I’m not” I even mentioned that I was instructed to come to get my medical records here. Nicole continued to nod her head as if my presence didn’t matter. She said, “come back at 12:45; it was 12:25, and I would have stayed, but her attitude and the way she treated me, I had to walk away. Nicole even said, “We have to order your records,” I told her I was instructed to come here and pick them up. She did not care and continued to stuff her face. That was very unprofessional, and this experience made me not want to return. I called the next day and spoke with Kelly (Office Manager) and complained about this experience. Kelly was very friendly and professional. I live about 45 minutes away from this office. I have never experienced anything like this with Dr. Kundavarams office staff until this experience. Every experience at the Sun City office has been excellent and very welcoming. But this particular office in Glendale, AZ, was trash. Nicole needs to treat patients with more respect. I get it - she was on her lunch break. I would have waited until 12:45 when her lunch break was over if she would’ve been more professional and not cut me off when I was trying to explain why I was there and who I spoke with from medical records to pick up my medical records at that office. Unfortunately, this experience made me not want to continue services with Dr. Kundavaram. More training for this particular individuals are needed. I could only imagine how she treats other patients if she treated me this way. Very unprofessional.
The staff was friendly and the nurse/assistant was extremely kind as I was very nervous about a procedure I was having done. Doctor Schlaifer is also very knowledgeable and gave me answers that I needed. They could use some stronger number gel though.
Overall things went well. I did have concerns about medication being ordered and no one told me. I received a phone message about a follow up appointment that I didnt have scheduled. I think its important to notify patients about things.
Doctor and assistant were great the day of the procedure. Only complaint was I wasnt given all the information necessary for after the procedure. Your suppose to go straight home and relax, not go shopping for super tight underwear like jockstrap or briefs. That information would of been helpful after the initial consultation. Other than that, yeah they are ok.
Kind, consider it, efficient, explained every step along the way. And certainly had empathy for the patient.
The ladies doctor that did my physical and explain how a vasectomy works was amazing. She explained everything properly to me so I could understand it, and she was very kind and considerate.
They dont answer their phones. Very hard to get ahold of
Dr. Kaplan is very good and gets straight to the point! The scheduling staff need re-training, I was on the phone for over an hour just trying to get my first appointment. My third appointment was left up in the air saying a nurse would call me and I am still waiting in pain.
My experience was exceptional. The staff were kind and knowledgeable. The facility is clean, organized and well staffed. Dr. Schlaifer is kind, understanding, respectful and seems to have a wealth of knowledge in the field of urology. I would highly recommend Academic Urology & Urogynecology of Arizona!
The doctor and all of her staff are absolutely amazing. I was in for a morning appointment and then had a complication during the day. they got me right in and had me taken care of in just minutes. Who does that anymore? Thank you!
Dr. Keri Wont is an absolutely amazing Doctor Ive seen Her twice. She is such a caring and well educated doctor. She covers all areas of the patients situation at a normal pace and allowed me to ask any questions in between, then She would continue. So Doctors give You so much information You cant remember everything You may have had questions on .I LOVE DR. WONG I WOULD RECOMMENDED HER TO ANYONE.
Lots of time you go to a Doctors office and the staff and Drs are nice people. But at this office the staff and Drs are good people. Theres a big difference between the two, anyone can act nice but not be a nice person. Genuinely good people are hard to find.
I was seen within 5 minutes of arriving right on time for my appointment. All personnel were friendly and accommodating.
Took my mother to her appointment and the ladies at the front desk was very nice & they treated my mom and I very respectfully! Definitely recommend this Dr if youre looking for a urologist!
Met Drs. Wong and Rogers at my first appt. They helped me feel more comfortable about an otherwise embarrassing problem. Also, the front office was incredibly organized and efficient!
Dr K was extremely thorough, asked questions, listened intently, took time with me. I didnt feel rushed or like just another patient . Staff was helpful and on top of things. It was a 45 minute ride from Buckeye. Travel time WELL spent. Ill be back
Front desk Staff were very helpful and courteous PA and Doctor were very helpful with explaining to me the process and procedures for my issue. This was my first visit with this group.
Front desk staff seemed like they were understaffed and scattered. My appointment was at 1030, doctor didn’t come in until after 1130.
After driving nearly 2 hours for my appointment, I am very thankful the office staff were able to get me in quickly.
Staff, PA Nordtvedt and Dr. Kundavaram were all great. I got the immediate feeling that they truly care about their patients.
Very friendly, helpful staff.
My appointment was on time and went very smoothly for the two procedures that I needed to have done. Everything was explained well to me, and the results were shared immediately.
Everyone in the office was kind and caring. Sometimes I’m slow at getting physical things done, but nobody was impatient or pushy. This office appears to run very smoothly, both front and back. Very professional and efficient.
1st appointment with my special needs daughter as we moved from a pediatric urologist to an adult urologist . The appointment went smooth and the staff were all very supportive and caring. Glad we made the switch to this office as they came recommended by our previous urologist.
As a new patient I found the reception staff to be an extremely competent, caring & compassionate. But you RARELY get to see a doctor. They train the NPs here. Some are really good, smart & care; some are not & most are still learning... on you. So often, at your next appt, you get someone new - again - rarely the same person. So if you have a serious need, I recommend going elsewhere.I love NPs & students (smart ones anyway) but this place is a revolving door and the doc is there just for training and that means the next new NPs needs & training take priority over you & your needs.Seems like a Payvidor facility where the DOCTOR is NOW the EMPLOYEE and has very little say in real medical care for his/her patients - its a for profit, big corporate way of providing health services & medical facilities that limits doctor-patient care and dictates to the doc how to practice & apply medical treatment - even penalizing docs for not following the corp guidelines. Not a good or safe model. Not true healthcare.
Very professional and efficient, not forgetting the personal!
This was my first time visiting and I had an excellence experience. Everyone was super professional and explained things thoroughly.
The entire staff is attentive and helpful. I recommend the professional facility!
Good place! had a vasectomy done here a year or so back. Dr. K (dont even wanna try and spell it) and his nurses were all awesome during the procedure and again after for the specimen to make sure it worked. Also i have seen Dr. N (dont wanna try and spell her name either) on multiple visits and she has been awesome as well each time.
All Ive done so far is schedule an appointment for someone and Im already thoroughly impressed. Phone operator Clarrette took time with me to work everything out. She never made me feel rushed. She has given me confidence that, the person I scheduled an appointment for, will be well taken care of.
Great Customer Service, friendly staff.
Surprised not to see Dr. Schlaifer. A bit of a wait this time.
Placing 1 star review. I visited this place and a doctor here 6 months ago. What I encountered was a misdiagnosis on a VERY important part of my body. Then a nurse placed a if you dont threat on me when my body wasnt performing as it should. Finally, they have doctors, and NPs that dont value my time when I make appointments to see them. The urologist sent an NP that did not know what to say when I ask them a question and asked that I make another appointment. I did, with another doctor who gave me a COMPLETELY different diagnosis. I am unsure if he is at fault as I never got a chance to talk to him but the entire facility needs to be closed down and investigated.
Dealing with kidney stones has not been fun but this office and Dr. Latowsky have done everything they could to make me feel better. They fit me in quickly to see the doc, was patient with me, and explained everything to me. I’m very thankful for them!
Very friendly and professional and clean n relaxing atmosphere. Dr Wong was thorough and straight shooter . Very gentle and informative through entire exam.took her 15 minutes to determine what I had drs overlook for over a year. Thank you Dr wong
Very Profesional and friendly.
Becca did a great job answering all my questions and office staff also did a great job.
I had my first BCG therapy yesterday and suffered none of the side effects I was warned of. I thought I’d have to sit at the office for 2 hours with a full bladder, and expected urination to be painful afterwards. Wrong! The worst part was insertion of the catheter. Then they instilled a syringe full of the medication and told me to go home. Don’t pee for 2 hours. And after 2 hours there was little pain or burning. What a relief!
Office staff is very nice, accommodating, patient and effective. With me, and other people coming in for appointments. Dr. Schlaifer is great-very nice, professional, organized, I had a great experience there.
Very efficient….Very short wait time. All staff except doc were pleasant. Doc was abrupt, doesn’t spend much time with patient. That is why a #4 rating.
Friendly office staff. A pleasure meeting Dr. Schlaifer. She answered all my questions, was professional, positive, supportive and I did not feel rushed.
Everyone was very pleasant & professional. Both in reception & clinic. Explained what would be doing. Felt comfortable & well looked after
Always treated great.
The nurse was nice and explained the procedure to me. The PA was knowledgeable and went through on what to expect during the recovery. It was a positive overall experience
Dont bother asking for a billing breakdown. It will be different on the next bill. Even for a routine vasectomy, billing has no clue. Even once pressured for a range, double that and your closer. As for the Doctors, rude bedside manners. The PAs were awesome and definitely competent. To bad the rest of the staff is rude and incompetent. Try harder. Hard pass.....
I had an appointment December 16 for pain in lower left abdomen. Dr Kundauaram suggested constipation and said take a laxative. I did. No improvement, thus no constipation.Follow up appointment January 6. Still have a pain in the lower left abdomen. Saw a physician assistant, Colleen. She was very nice but only asked things that happened in my last appointment. I asked will I see the doctor and she said no, he was busy. I had hoped the doctor could find out what caused my pain, but nothing new happened at this appointment. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED.When I left I did was given another follow up appointed and I wondered why if I did not see the doctor this time for any help.
The Best Urologist, Dr. schaly an elderly patient can have. Her office staff is very efficient and pleasant. I have never in my 88 years had such a well prepared, friendly MEDICAL ASSISTANT. She is open, funny and puts the patient at ease.No question is too rediculous for her to answer..such as a female asking the meaning of the letters BHP (for male patients only she said, “Unless there is something you want to tell me.” 😂
As a nurse it is my duty to inform folks to steer clear of this provider. Dr Kaplan was very nice on the first visit. After he did my procedure which by the way didnt fix my problem and was extremely expensive $$$$$ he got his money and then wanted nothing more to do with me. His staff at the Glendale location was very rude and incompetent. STAY CLEAR people.
Dr Schlaifer had several tests done and explained my options for treatment. Her recommendation made it easy to choose and she made my biopsy as pleasant as possible.
This was just a follow up from a previous appt. It was good. Poor Dr Schlaifer is so busy but that’s because she’s good!
Office staff was as it should be helpfull and answered questions as needed. Provider explained my options for the concern I was there for. My general feelings are that providers that have a speciality seem friendly but robotic.
Everyone is friendly and made us feel better right away. We left feeling better and very good about our health
Only leaving 1 star because I have to to leave a comment. My first time here, the front office receptionist was very rude no customer service skills whatsoever. Meaning she didn’t greet me or even acknowledge I was standing in front of her while her & another staff member were catching up on gossip. She wasn’t wearing a name tag so I don’t know her name. Both staff were not wearing masks. I’m an elderly woman with a lot of health issue and I don’t deserve to be treated that way.
Very professional great experience.
I went to get a procedure done for my bladder and Dr. Amy Schaifer and staff were really nice and understanding . Im looking forward to seeing them in 2 months.
Very timely appointments. Caring and compassionate always. Respectful.
No respect for their patients.Never less than an hour late on every appointment. A patient had a catheter leak in waiting area, seven different people told the front counter person about it and it was not cleaned up until a technician calling a patient back noticed it and cleaned it up.
I was not impressed with the office staff, or my doctor. The receptionist seemed to be overwhelmed, which caused delays. Once I was finally called back, from waiting 30 min, up to 2 hours!! The medical assistant takes your vitals right next to the front desk. Theyre not discreet by any means. The patients in the waiting room can hear everything said, as they repeat your vitals & information to you.The doctor I was being treated by made me feel rushed. Keep in mind I had to wait every time, however, he told me & my fiance he was behind, & didnt have enough time, so Id have to schedule another appt! When he didnt know the answer to my questions, he disregarded it! The two medical questions were things he should have known. At the very least, he should have looked them up, or asked another doctor! When he did an in office procedure/test, again had to wait. He then rushed in, & out. After that appt, Id had enough! I was told later what he could do that might work. I was not going to return for the 12 more appts it would take. Especially because of the costs, my time, & lack of any real interest in my case, for something that might work..
Went to so many different gynecologist and none of them helped and some were even insulting. At Academic Urology the staff was extremely friendly and made me feel at ease. Dr.Wong was able to ask the right questions to help me and explained everything. Would recommend and will go again
The staff at Academic Urology have always been very gentle & caring. Dr. Amy is very knowledgeable & personable. Im pleased to report on this visit, Im 3yrs cancer free ! Thank u all for being so thorough ....
I was very pleased with all the concern of my issue and how we can manage it. Got more answers than with my primary doctor. So glad my primary doctor referred me to you. Looking forward to getting this issue addressed.
Dr. Amy is very good at what she does. Knowledgeable, and gets your care on the road to treatment, fast. She does her best to work with what works for your body to achieve better health.
I have been a patient of Dr. Kundavaram for the past 3 years. My previous Urologist missed life threatening signs that put me in the hospital 3 times in 2 months. He was the doctor who the hospital recommended. He corrected the problem by operating on my prostrate. He has been monitoring my progress since. He has always listened to my concerns and I feel secure that I owe my health to his care.
I had never been to this office location before but I notice that the same receptionist seems to follow certain doctors around. There was a very young receptionist at the desk when I arrived and I had recognized her from the desert ridge office. I was running 5 min behind the time that the girl who called the previous day had told me. I had never been to this office and allowed myself additional time but it didnt work in my favor. Upon arriving the young receptionist told me that I was late for a 2:15pm appt when the girl on the phone told me 2:25pm. I apologized and gave my excuse of not ever being there. She handed me a paper to verify my information which I did and I noticed that she was scrolling and clicking away - not paying any attention to me. I was nice the whole time and took a seat. They called me back right away. Then I proceeded with my punishment. I waited in the room for over 2HRS! When the doctor finally came in to read me the results of my test... Which literally took 5 min. She said wow you were here so early for your appointment. I told her actually I was 5 min late and she said well I show here that your appointment was at 3:45pm. She explained that she was so sorry that she was running even behind for that appointment and she was sorry that I had been waiting for so long. When I left and scheduled my follow up appointment the girl smirked at me like she had won.Look, I dont go to doctors because one almost killed me. I dont take prescription meds because they almost killed me with them. You have definitely held the standard that I believe health care doesnt have my best interest in mind.I dont like to say things and get mad right away, I tend to think before I speak. All night I could help but think about people who might actually have cancer and be much older than me sitting in a room for over two hours. Such a cruel punishment for a misunderstanding.I will be calling to cancel my future appointment today. Dr. Wong is amazing and honestly she doesnt deserve this review... Her staff - NOT.If the receptionist would have said You know I am really sorry we are already running behind. Would you like to reschedule or wait for ** hours for your appointment It would have been great. That would have been the best way to handle it... but clearly she wanted to show me who is boss.Needless to say I would rather my growth turn into a cancer and die from it before seeing this ungrateful, spite filled receptionist even a few times a year. I will be taking my test results to someone else in the future.
I have always had a great experience. Office staff is very friendly. Dr. Schlaifer and her staff are the best. Highly recommend!
We had many questions about my husband’s procedure. All were answered patiently and in the depth we required and everyone we dealt with was professional and friendly.
Thank you Hillary and the other ladies for your patience, guidance and understanding. Thank you for sharing videos. I have been successful in my endeavors.
I was on time and still waited in the back room for about 30 minutes before the Dr came in. 🫤
I had a prolapsed bladder and after going to see several Drs over several months, I was referred to Dr Wong. I knew immediately that she was the one I wanted to do my surgery. She talked to me for as long as I needed and answered all my questions and concerns. Her staff is very efficient too. I had surgery on Oct 19 and Dr Wong was awesome, she never gave up or quit my surgery was suppose to be 1 1/2 to 2 hrs but because of all my scar tissue it took 4 hrs, shes amazing. Its been 10days since surgery and Iam doing great. Thank you Dr Wong and staff
Good morning they made me feel very comfortable comfortable
Worst specialist care weve ever received. Dr Kaplan has the worst bed side manner. Wont answer questions was in the room maybe 20 mins long enough to say you need to do this test and this test and walked out. No one in the office knows what they are talking about or what needs to be done. Put a call into the office manager 2 days ago AND still waiting!!! You cant leave a voicemail everything is done by o Ill send an email bull!
Great office. Hardly no wait to scheduled time and very professional and informative. Also fun and friendly atmosphere.
The PA was great. Very knowledgeable and explained everything so we could understand clearly.
Everyone is super nice and courteous will tell everyone about my experience there and will refer anyone I can !!!
The doctor is very experienced, very professional. The staff is very polite.
Very professional receptionist, medicalassistance, my Doctor excellent they know how to treat a patient and making me feel good/positive.
Dr. Schlaifer was rude, not informative, condescending, unorganized, and not a very good doctor. I wanted to be proactive in my care and all Dr. Schlaifer did was order ultrasounds and schedule follow ups. She never helped actually solve my kidney problems and was rude when I would ask what I could do to help make myself better.
Everyone was so nice and made everything go quickly and with little to NO pain, I know now what to expect, if there is a second time. They told me what was going to happen and when to relax, and what to do next. Thank You all..
I was referred to Dr. Kundavarem after being admitted to the hospital for a kidney stone. I had no idea I had a stone, I thought I had pulled a muscle in my back at the gym. Because I had tried icing it for 10 days without improvement, by the time I was admitted, my L kidney failed and they had to insert a temporary nephrostomy tube for 2 weeks. Within the first 48 hours, I became violently ill from the oxycodine. I called the office and let them know it was making me sick and I couldnt take it and never got a call back. Meanwhile, the kidney stone was still there. And the nephrostomy tube. I tried contacting the office on and off for two weeks, only to be told someone would call me back but never did. Every day I puked and cried from the pain. I had a relative take me to the office to see if they would write me a new script. The front office woman was extremely rude - and scolded me for showing up without an appointment. I told them Im not a drug addict. Im a wife, mom of two, full-time employee who was suffering from the worst kidney stone known to man at home for two weeks with NO PAIN MEDS. And apparently it was so far back that Dr. K didnt think he could reach it to surgically remove it so I was just stuck with it. In the waiting room, I could hear Dr. K and the front office ladies talking about me saying why is she here? and as much as I wanted to yell, all I could do was cry and ask for help. The front office lady rudely handed me a new script and said HERE! So I took it to Walgreens and they refused to fill it because he only wrote my first name on there, not my full name. And of course, the dr office would not return my call again. I am sure I seemed miserable to them, I was in a tremendous amount of pain. But there was no effort to help or show any concern and if youve ever had a kidney stone, you know its not comfortable or easy. So after 2+ weeks, he finally agreed to try to do the lithrotripsy. I tried to see if I could have another doctor do it but once youre assigned a doctor and he touches you, another doctor will not get involved. We did the surgery, thankfully about 5 days later, the pain from the kidney stone was gone. He put a stent in which had to remain another 2 weeks. Again, no one else would take it out. During the stent removal, I showed up to the office and the paper covering the patient bed/table was not attached to the back of the table, it was lying ON THE FLOOR. And when they told me to turn on my side to give me an antibiotic shot in my glute before the stent removal, the assistant or nurse stuck the needle into the leather of the patient bed/table I was laying on, THEN stuck it in my rear! My mom was like what are you doing? OMG. It was too late for me to stop them. He removed the stent and I havent been back since. Do not go to this office. The hospital nurse who called me at home during this month-long HELL was extraordinary, caring, and said shed help file a complaint. I would not recommend the doctor or this office to anyone.
Very informative, no waiting period and all staff polite, welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Would recommend to family and friends.
I have been here twice and both times waited over 2 hours to get called back to see the doctor. Dr k seems to be a good doctor but cant manage there time very well. There is one girl in the front staff that was very RUDE!!!Looking for another Dr.
The staff is always kind, and very helpful! And I must say they are fast as well, I never have to sit long before being seen!
The staff is very friendly and the waiting time was good. Got to cover a lot of ground with Dr. Schlaefer. Everything went well.
Went to see the Urologist to get my test results. I spent 2.5 hours getting tests for this Dr Kundavaram. I went to their office anticipating my test results for my STAGE 3 KIDNEY DISEASE. I was very nervous and still am because of this. I was forgotten in a room in the back for over an hour. When I came out of the room they were closing up the office. I am glad I came out when I did. I am still waiting for my test results and explanation. When Academic Urology found out I was forgotten they moved quickly to cover their tracks knowing I may pursue legal action which I am doing now. This Medical group is a scam and the ringleader Dr Kaplan is not a good leader to hide such a descrepency. BEWARE AS THIS GROUP IS A BAD ONE. FIND A NEW UROLOGIST!AFTER READING THE RESPONSE FROM THIS COMPANY PLEASE READ BELOW FOR MY RESPONSEIf this company truly cared and would tell the truth they would tell yolu when I came out of the room they were getting ready to go home. When I came out of room they were all surprised and had no idea I was in there. All I was there for was a follow up. I did all the tests they told me to do. Whern I asked to have someone explain to me the results they said we willmail it to you. We dont want to talk to you. Thats great. Its only my health I trusted this company with. Just goes to show once they have your money they could care less.Signed just another number
The office staff is always very friendly and helpful.
My initial visit, but everything went very smoothly and they seem to be very thorough. Several tests to follow.
This was my first experience with the procedure that I had.Everyone was so good to me.From the day of the procedure to the day the catheter was removed.Professionals every one.Thank you all.
Went to Academic Urology and Urogynecology of Arizona . appointment with Dr. Keri S. Wong was a wonderful experience..Dr. Keri Wong was friendly.professional, and knowledgeable with my health issue.. Dr. Keri Wong listened to my concerns and addressed them in a clear manner. Staff at this facility at the thunderbird Glendale Az. office was helpful and cordial. Sincerely,Dorothy Gail Baldonado
Everyone from front office to the nurse were all so helpful, courteous and made me feel I mattered no matter what my issue was.
Kind, caring doctors and staff!!!
I saw Dr. Schlaiffer on an emergency basis and then for a follow-up yesterday. Very professional, and informative. I was seen promptly. The staff was helpful and friendly.
I’m so happy I got referred from my doctors office, and so happy that I had a procedure of a bladder repair, it helped me so so much and appreciate with them
Dr was great listened to me and had a great bedside manner 😙‼️will definitely refer people to this office and Dr
The wait was a little longer than usual. All of the staff polite andknowledgeable and answer my questions whenever I have any.I think Dr. Kundavaram is first-rate.
This office is terrible. Always running late. Horrible bedside manner from the MA. One time, I got a call from the pharmacy to pick up an antibiotic before this office called me to let me know I needed one. I wouldnt take my worst enemy to this office. I go to a different location now and its a thousand times better
Doctor Amy Schlaiffer is a wonderful doctor who has made a positive difference in my quality of life. She listened to me and asked questions that no other urologist had thought to ask. Rather than reorder tests I already had, she agreed to review the results of what was previously done before ordering more tests. The tests were not comfortable so I greatly appreciated that. She also reviewed my gyn history so she had a full picture of my concerns. Dr. Schlaiffer is efficient and connects the dots quickly. She recommended things I could do as self-care as well as prescribed meds where indicated and referred me for a procedure with another doc that helped tremendously. I give Dr. Schlaiffer my highest recommendation- she resolved my problems when previous docs were unable to do so.
Always well cared for. They always listen to my concerns. Each procedure, change in medication is always explained. Very happy to have found Dr. Schlaifer.
No long wait. The PA listened to me, we conversed, everyone was friendly and efficient.
One man in the waiting room was listening to his phone in Spanish. It was LOUD. Annoying. They need more chairs.
Dr Amy and assistants are professional and friendly,I am very satisfied with their work and will continue visiting them whenever necessary!
From the time you walk in the door and through the whole visit you are felt to be number 1. Very comfortable and welcome at the Glendale office. Thank you!
Busy office w/everyone being attentive to this client. It is sad this Prescott office will shut down on 12/31 due to lack of employee hiring availability.
Dr Wong was very personable, caring and listened with patience.
I did not have to wait. Staff was friendly. And Dr Schlaifer explained things well.
I was really nervous about the procedure I was having but the staff made it pain free and made me feel at ease.
Kind compassionate from front office to back office. The PA and Dr were amazing!
Maybe the worse med service in the valleyFor more than 2 weeks, several calls, they were not able to send lab orders to Simon med & Sonora quest lab services, everytime they claim they sent the fax of lab order and when we f/u with the lab nothing there. finally today I waited in Sonora Quest for an hour waiting for the lab order, after calling AcademicUrology they claim they sent it again nothing reach the lab.Free advice if your PCP refer this service don’t accept it.
Everything is good and Im glad very excited about the experience all people very nice working there.Thank you.
Please STOP scheduling patients every 10-15 minutes if you cannot handle seeing them that fast. What is the point of making us wait over an hour to be seen. This happens every time because patients are scheduled on stockpiles. EVERY visit
The staff at each office I’ve been to is competent, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Kundavaram is a very good doctor.
They are very compassionate, caring and knowledgeable and would recommend this office for any of my family and friends!
I was very pleased with my visit to Dr.Amy,got my first prostrate exam in 30 years, looking forward to my procedure in Phoenix with Dr.Amy,,,Keith Schaller
Incorrect billing , plus telling me the pt one thing and telling my primary physician another ! I cannot recommend ! Indifferent desk staff ,cancelling my appt , after my showing up for sending my bill to wong provider without double checking and refusing to give me notes on my exam , without much drama , really messed up my experience
Courteous and professional staff that makes the office visit comfortable.
