I cannot thank Preg enough! After years of trying to conceive, my OB referred me to this clinic, and it was truly the best decision I’ve ever made. Dr. Payne was incredibly kind and took the time to explain everything I needed to know. The entire staff, from the nurses to the front desk team, was always warm, welcoming, and professional. Their care and support made all the difference. I am so grateful for the wonderful experience.
PREG has truly been a blessing on our fertility journey! From the moment we walked in, the kindness and positivity from both the nursing and administrative staff were undeniable. They listen with genuine care and make us feel so supported every step of the way. We honestly couldnt picture going through this experience with anyone else. We are so incredibly grateful for them!
What a journey this has been. I had a horrible experience where my husband and I were treated very poorly by a well known clinic in Atlanta. When we started our embryo adoption process they recommended PREG Greenville to us, and it has been a God sent. My team was so supportive, so loving and kind, I was never made to feel embarrassed about my size, never ridiculed or blamed. Dr Payne was simply amazing, so sweet, he cared enough to make sure I had only the best embryos to adopt after eight failed transfers, that tells me he’s not just about the money but actually cares about his patients. And Lindsay, oh Lindsay, my Third party coordinator, I cried leaving thinking about how I wouldn’t see and talk to her weekly. And Miss Jackie who does my blood work, seriously amazing. I can’t recommend this clinic enough! Thank you guys for never giving up on my husband and I, after eight transfers we are finally pregnant
My husband and I have had the best experience at PREG. They not only do their job well, they truly care and it shows. Dr. Payne is incredible - knowledgeable and friendly, and most importantly has always supported us during good and bad days alike. Mandi, Jackie, Lindsay, and all the other nurses and staff that we saw almost weekly - thank you for everything you did for us. We are currently expecting our first child and we felt like the whole staff was so excited for our graduation day, which just made it better. We will definitely be using PREG again in the future.
PREG was nothing short of excellence throughout the entire process. Dr. McCoy and Dr. Payne were attentive, professional and caring. Lindsay P., our nurse, was always readily available and quick to respond to questions and concerns. We are so thankful for finding this office. Would recommend to anyone with infertility issues!
Today was a bittersweet day as we Graduated from PREG.The staff here has truly become so close to my heart, all the Office staff, Nurses, and Dr. Payne. I’m truly grateful for all of them and if we ever have to go through the process again I will choose PREG every time. You won’t find more support, love and care anywhere else!
Deceived by all those 5-star reviews. Rude and impatient doctors. All they want is to MAKE MONEY, asking you to do series of expensive unnecessary tests. They don’t even have the patience to explain what the results mean, and they literally yelled at me saying “if you don’t trust me, you should not be here!!”. Disgusting place, disgusting people. I’ll wish I never made the stupid decision going to their place. I know this place has a way of deleting my one-star review, but I’ll post again if they delete my review one more time!
We had a great experience with PREG.Dr. Nichols was very straight forward with treatment and was pleased with consultation. The nursing staff is great and all appointments, ultrasounds, and bloodwork just moved with a breeze. Happy to say we graduated today at 9 weeks pregnant and were successful with our second cycle of assistance.I’d recommend PREG to anyone trying or having difficulties conceiving. Thanks to everyone at PREG who made it such a great experience for my husband and me.The Pearsons
My experience with Greenville PREG was incredibly disappointing and felt like a huge waste of time and money. I gave 2 stars for the handful of very sweet staff I did meet.We tried IUI 2 times with them and both attempts felt poorly planned and rushed with their procedures. This second time, I was given very defensive and short responses when expressing concerns with their IUI procedure, mainly with how they give you a trigger shot the day of even though that’s not common practice. For instance, they gave me the trigger shot 30 minutes before the first IUI and, for the second IUI, told me to take trigger shot AFTER the IUI. When it was pointed out my LH levels were still low/my ovulation date was days a way and I preferred to wait 1-2 days post-trigger to perform the IUI, I was met with a dry “we don’t have on-call staff this weekend” response. I was also given 3 different answers from 3 different staff, one being a doctor, for another timing question that same appointment. I’m not even bothering with a follow-up appointment and will be going elsewhere.I wanted to post this so others considering the location are aware, just in case they have similar experiences early on and can save more of their time/money. I saw similar reviews here and other sites, so I know it’s not just me, and I’m now wishing I’d listened to my gut sooner.
We cannot say enough good things about PREG! From the nursing staff to the admin staff, everyone is so pleasant and hopeful. Dr. Payne is so kind, caring and he really listens. We couldn’t imagine going on our fertility journey with anyone else!
Dr Payne helped my husband and I to have a child. After a less than stellar experience with Dr. Nichols, who recommended we pursue adoption, we switched to Dr. Payne. He helped us to conceive a child even though I have severe endometriosis and a low AMH. Our first treatment was successful.Dr. Payne didn’t give up on us. He listened to our goals, and didn’t view me as a number. He offered the best treatment to us with the greatest chance of success. The care we received here was excellent from medical care, to customer service, advice, and billing. I can’t recommend them enough!
We absolutely love this place! One of the best decisions of my life was chosing to come to PREG. Dr. Payne, Lynne, Meagan, Ms Jackie, and the entire staff are so welcoming and truly care. As soon as you walk in, you can feel the good energy and connections with their staff. They’re also incredibly knowledgeable and respond in such a timely manner. If you’re on the fence about starting your journey here, I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Thank you PREG! ❤️
I’ve worked with PREG since 2019 after receiving a PCOS diagnosis with my regular OB. With PREG, I have been able to conceive my 3 beautiful children. I’ve worked with all of the doctors at the practice and have enjoyed my experience with each of them. Some take more precautions and some are a little more risky. I do think at times the front office can be presumptuous that each patient knows what’s going on/what they’re supposed to be calling and scheduling and at least in the beginning there is so much to do, it’s hard and overwhelming to keep track of it all. The nurses are amazing and so understanding of the process, always willing to answer any crazy questions you may have or ask someone if they don’t know the answer. Would highly recommend PREG for your fertility needs - just give yourself and the staff grace and understanding as you navigate such a difficult, emotional experience. It’s not fun no matter the journey!
If I could give negative stars I would. I would NEVER go to this place again, not only are they money hungry (which they overcharged me 100s of dollars, not only were they getting money from me but also from my insurance, which when I called my insurance I found out what they were doing and requested I get my money back in which they overcharged. So be aware of that.) The doctor was very brief of each step of infertility treatment and was very dismissive when I kind of was hesitant of getting treatment, once I said I would be interested the treatment started basically right away but I felt like when I asked specific questions they didnt want to be bothered answering them as if I was annoying them. VERY long story short, my first treatment ended up as an ectopic which they kind of head in that direction when my hormones were saying I was pregnant but couldnt find the sac in my uterus. The doctor said that he would keep a close eye on my because it can be very dangerous. After going to the ER and telling them what was going on they also said it was most likely an ectopic and I need to be closely monitored. I called the fertility doctor and told them I am not feeling great, there is something wrong, all they did was give me pills to induce a miscarriage, which didnt work. I went in for an ultrasound and they saw blood in my uterus and told them something is def wrong, I am in pain. They then prescribed my a chemo pill to end the pregnancy (which no pharmacy carried so we called back and told them how am I supposed to get the pill and basically they said it was our problem to get it, keep in mind this can be a life or death situation). I went for a walk with my dog and came back and I can barely stand so my bf rushed me to the ER, turns out my fallopian tube ruptured and I was bleeding internally. My hemoglobin went from 14 to 7 within days. The doctor at the ER said if I didnt come in I wouldnt have survived the night. I had to get emergency surgery that night in which they didnt even know if I would survive the surgery. The reason I am writing this is to make women aware that if you know something is wrong with your body, listen to your body, not what the doctor tells you. If I had listened to this place I wouldnt be here writing this review. I am highly disgusted because I put my trust in PREG and they never listened to me when I told them there is something wrong. I would never go here again and I have no trust in any of the people who work there, their number one goal is to see how much money they can make and that is not right.
I am highly pleased with PREG. They gave me the care and assurance I needed that my baby was developing well in the time before the OB/Gyn would see me for my pregnancy. Dr. Nichols was straightforward in telling me what I needed to do and, more importantly, what was unnecessary. The staff was fantastic. The only thing I didnt like was being force to pay in advance or just after care. The payments didnt agree with insurance. Consequently, I now have a significant credit balance that I doubt I will ever see, since I am now under the care of an OB/Gyn. Despite that, it was worth it to get the early care.I highly recommend PREG for early pregnancy care.
Wow is all I can say! Dr. Nichols and the team of nurses that I worked with were AMAZING! Their understanding and patience helped my husband and I get through this process and I’m so happy that we didn’t give up. Using the trigger shot and timed intercourse allowed us to get pregnant and we are so grateful to them. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to PREG of Greenville. You won’t regret it!
Dr. Payne and Nurse Katherine are amazing! Very helpful and have a great bedside manner. Also the IVF coordinator Meghan is so sweet and helpful. She was always there to answer any questions I had no matter how small. Cannot recommend PREG and their team enough.
They do their job. In-person experience is fine. But communication has not been clear, people on the phone sound impatient and annoyed, felt like things could have been explained better and more thoroughly so as to not waste time and money, and generally did not feel very seen or heard in this difficult journey. I feel frustrated, afraid of doing something wrong, but afraid to ask questions because people seem annoyed when i do. I am kind of nervous moving forward.
On my very first visit I was very nervous, but as soon as they called me in I felt very comfortable, they were also very funny. All the staff members were super sweet. My 3 year old twins went with us and they were all super nice and patient with them. One of the nurses even took one of my sons to the office with her since he felt super comfortable. They were both enjoying the visit! On my very first visit they did an ultrasound and blood work. They told me a plan and I was surprised of how fast they were helping which I was very pleased with. Thank you to all the staff members for finally making me feel like Im not crazy haha. I would recommend this place to anyone out there trying to conceive and looking for answers.
PREG of Greenville has restored my faith in medicine and is the best doctor’s office I have stepped foot into. From the beginning of our treatment process to the very end, they have been straight forward with us, easy to get appointments with, very accommodating with schedules, and easy to get ahold of when you have questions. Each interaction with the employees has been nothing short of amazing from the front desk staff to Dr. Nichols. I can’t speak highly enough about this practice. I am eternally grateful to have a successful pregnancy from their treatment plan and recommendations. If you are looking for a fertility clinic/reproductive endocrinologist in the Greenville area, I wouldn’t look any further!
Absolutely love the staff at PREG! They are all so nice, caring, and thorough. I didn’t want to “graduate” once we got pregnant because I will miss them so much!
I highly recommend PREG. Infertility is a wild ride with lots of overwhelming information and LOTS of ups and downs. I was very grateful to have the phenomenal team at PREG to guide us through our lengthy and complex journey.
Stephanie, Tori, Ashley and the rest of the ladies at the Spartanburg office are amazing! Dr. Payne is the best. They all made my daughter possible. If it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t have our sweet Elliana and hopefully her sister! And later this year or early 2024 we will be back to transfer our last embryo.Elise
We did initial testing and two IUIs with preg last year. Overall I was very frustrated with my experience and would urge caution to anyone wanting to undergo fertility treatments in greenville. For both IUIs my trigger shot was given to me in the office the day of my ultrasound, and the insemination also occurred right after. This is HIGHLY unusual according to my new doctors. I even questioned it at the time, and the nurse said you can take the trigger earlier this time if you want to see if that helps. We just stopped doing extra office visits during covid. So let me get this straight...my iui was not being timed correctly (36 hours after trigger) because of former covid protocols? I felt like they didnt care about us paying thousands of dollars for these procedures. Youre supposed to be able to trust the doctors, not have to create your own plan. The communication is also very difficult as you get a nurse hotline number from which you may get a call back later with answers to urgent questions. I only got to speak to the doctor once, and he didnt put together a personalized plan for us, just said we could try IUI and then move onto IVF. Fertility Center of the Carolinas is more reasonable with pricing and has been a much more positive experience. I dont want to drag PREG but feel others should know this information.
I’ve been a patient at Preg (Greenville location) since February of this year. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. However, today when my partner and I went in we had the pleasure of working with Christina (I pray I spelled her name correctly). She was a pure sweetheart. She loves her job and you can tell. She was very detailed before, during, and after my IUI procedure. She didn’t rush the process and went out of way to take care of me and my partner needs.
Most amazing doctors and staff! Never felt more supported and cared for in a medical facility. Truly the best experience through difficult times. Love PREG and recommend 1,000%!
Just had my egg retrieval and such a great experience. Monte Anne is my favorite nurse ever. Her energy is amazing. CRNA was great and of course the VIP Dr. Nichols. I love everything about this practice. It’s been a long journey with them but wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.-Kayla Swartzendruber
My husband and I saw Dr. McCoy. He made us feel so welcome and made sure to answer all our questions and explain everything in such a great way. We felt cared for and understood. Our treatment plan was tailored to us specifically and there was not even a mention of any other treatments. We weren’t promised anything but the level of care taken made us feel hopeful and like we were at the right place. The entire team is always loving and affectionate.
Our experience started out wonderful as soon as we walked through the door! The front desk staff were quick with checking us in, even though we had never been there, and were so sweet! The nurse that obtained my vital signs and history was also very nice! Dr. McCoy was AMAZING!! Dr. McCoy was very professional, knowledgeable, and explained things clearly. Dr. McCoy helped me feel seen and heard for the first time and I am so glad I found PREG! Thank you PREG Asheville for a wonderful first visit and we can’t wait to come back!
The PREG family is full of guidance and encouragement as you travel the journey of infertility. No question is off limits or out of reason. I’m so glad to have PREG on my side!
I have been seen at this place multiple times - the first time was back in 2015 for endometriosis. I was told that the pain I was experiencing was in my head because I was a woman and had a history of anxiety. After fighting for the surgery that I was referred there for, it took nearly three hours because my adhesions were so bad and the prior endo was bad as well. I went back here this year because my husband and I were having issues getting pregnant. While Dr. Nichols seemed very smart and willing to help us, we ended up getting pregnant the day we left this office on our own. The billing department is a nightmare and the people are incompetent. I don’t know if there are other fertility clinics in Greenville, so you might be stuck going to preg. Just be aware.Update: I’m taking a star away because I know they’re sitting on a check my FSA provider mailed because they don’t know how to process it. This has been going on for two months now. Beware!
Great experience!! We are just starting our IVF cycle! The staff was absolutely great, so sweet and knowledgeable. Kindness is an understatement! Dr, Payne I believe is going to be great so far our experience has superseded our expectation. We have been to two other clinics they were TERRIBLE! No bedside manner. I’m excited to be doing my first IVF treatment at PREG!
I LOVE this place. Dr. Nichols and nurse Meagan V were my care team while I was a patient there. They treated me like a friend and always listened to my concerns and answered my hundreds of questions. I had 2 miscarriages before coming to PREG, and was working with the other fertility clinic in town. I was so burnt out and frustrated with doctors when I first transferred to PREG bc I had been treated like I was just a #, not a person. Also, I felt like the other doctors office never had time to answer my questions and didnt care about how I was doing. After switching to PREG, I realized there is a much better option out there. As a woman dealing with fertility challenges, you want to be heard and you want someone to be patient and kind with you. Thats exactly what I got and so much more. I am so happy I came here. I recommend everyone in a similar situation to go to PREG, you wont be disappointed. They care!
The folks at PREG have not only helped us grow our family but since starting with them as a patient in 2014 they have become part of our family. Dr. McCoy and Dr. Nichols are both awesome and super knowledgeable with their own unique personality and special touch to patient care. Looking forward to working with this team again in the near future!
I cannot begin to express how impressed my and I were with the quality of care and service we received at PREG. From the time we arrived, Alma knew us by name and we never felt like just a number or a bill to them. We began our journey with Dr. Nichols, who is a fantastic doctor with wonderful results but unfortunately was not a match for us for personal reasons. This process is extremely emotional and it was important to us to find the perfect doctor to help us.We found that doctor in Dr. Payne. He was completely upfront and honest about all of our issues, explained each step of the process along with our options, and kept us optimistic without giving us false hope. We became pregnant on our first round of in-vitro and have a wonderful son, and we hope to have another one soon!I would recommend any of the staff here as opposed to other fertility clinics in the Upstate that we have seen, and would personally (and have personally!) refer my friends here as well.
Extremely disappointed in the care we received. Dismissed after we decided we couldn’t afford IVF. I tried calling and emailing and it took them days to respond. I got diagnosed with endometriosis through them and got no help with managing after we decided no to IVF. Felt like I’m in the dark and feel so discouraged. No support or help, no direction from here. If we do end up coming up with the money I won’t go back here. I’m already emotional with my fertility journey and they made me feel so much worse.
This place was amazing as my husband & I struggled with IVF for 10.5 yrs having this infertility place for help has been the greatest blessing ever!! The people here & in Columbia were very friendly & compassionate for us while trying to get pregnant. Highly recommend!!
I love PREG of Greenville so much! Thanks to them we have miracle twins after 5 years of trying! Every single person that works there is so nice, and they actually care about you, they really get to know you, and they are great at communicating. Not only did they grow our family, but Dr. Nichols saved my life when I had a surprise ectopic pregnancy and needed emergency surgery. I cant say enough good things about them. I will recommend them forever to everyone!!! They know what they are doing!
I am just starting out my very first IVF journey. My husband and I started the path two years ago but money fell flat. Instead of losing everything, we got to pick up right where we had left off with our paperwork and started again! The doctors, nurses and staff are all completely amazing and are very welcoming. I feel comfortable with everyone!
We had an incredible experience with PREG. Their staff is amazing. From day one of our infertility journey, they were so supportive and caring. They supported us when things didn’t go as hoped and celebrated when our IVF cycle worked and we got pregnant. They have been some of our biggest cheerleaders. My husband are so thankful for them and their support to give us the children we always wanted!
We have nothing but great things to say about our experience at PREG! All of the providers are great. They all helped to get us pregnant during our first attempt.
I wish I came there earlier, I was thinking I needed an IVF, did not know there are other options available to get pregnant before you go for IVF, waisted my time, should have come as soon as I was ready to have baby! Dont wait ! Do it! Preg will help you. I was seen by dr. Payne, and nurse Kristina. They are so great in answering all questions, and listening to your concerns. Appointments was easy to make, no wait in lobby, super fast and easy check in. I recommend going there for everybody who wants to have a baby! They got their job done, by the way! 😁😁😁
I had an appointment 3-4 months in advance. I sent in my new patient paper work and insurance information. I was told they would reach out to me if they needed more information. I reached out multiple times to make sure everything was good to go, they didn’t have any questions, or need anything more from me for the appointment. I was told no, everything was good, didn’t need anything or pay for anything. I even called a week in advance to check again and was told I was good to go. Fast forward, less than 24 hours before the appointment I get a text message saying they need more information about my insurance. Can you see where this is going and why it’s an issue? I called in, left a voicemail, got a call back later. They asked for all the information again - I’m military - then I asked if everything was good to go still, and was told I was good to go. Got another text saying I need more, which I couldn’t get in under 24 hours being as I just moved from the west coast and my PCM just retired. So I had to cancel my appointment that I had been looking forward too for months. So happy the employees did their job and did stuff in advance! 👎🏻
I have been coming to this practice for many years. I had only dealt with Dr. Payne until last week. Dr. Payne is kind and seems to care. I ended up there last week with an ectopic pregnancy. I was sent to StF to have surgery, which Dr. Nichols performed.I’ve had many friends leave this practice bc of Dr. Nichols, but I always thought that maybe they were taking him the wrong way until I experienced it myself. About a week and half post op I developed unbearable pain. I went in to see Dr. Nichols and he completely blew me off. He said there was nothing wrong and asked me “what do you suggest I do?” when I persisted there was a problem. He begrudgingly gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way. I ended up in the ER and abdominal CT showed infection throughout my internal abdomen. He should have taken me seriously and at least ordered some imaging. I’m a nurse practitioner myself, and when my patient says something is wrong, I believe them and at least try to figure it out. If I can’t, I refer them to someone who can.My best advice would be to see anyone other than Nichols or go to another fertility center. He treats you like an idiot and talks down to his patients. The rest of the staff are nice enough and AnnMarie (nurse) is AMAZING. She is so caring and compassionate. She held me while I cried, and always called to check on me. Infertility is so hard anyway, so don’t waste time on physicians who aren’t on your side 100%.
Im not sure quite what to say about this place. On the one hand the physicians seem competent but the rest of the staff, especially the clerks seem to make a habit of losing doctors orders and referrals. It seems like a combination of a difficult to use filing system and staff that is poorly trained. Also, I feel like they dont want my kind of business? Best advice I can give is that if you are trying to get procedures done that are transferred in from another physician, also consider an option at a second place. Something is odd with regard to the front desk/clerical staff at this office.
Cost: the cost of IVF may be similar to other places. The number I heard was not overtly large. What is odd is I was asked to pay upfront for services when it is not yet clear I will need them . (For example genetic testing) Why not just charge at the time?Communication: well, I think the communication changes through the process. I have found that messages can get confusing, and the message can change. Ive got different answers, about the same question, from the same person. When the reasons change, and the facts dont, its kind of strange to me.Willingness to treat: I did not feel like the doctor assigned to me wanted to treat me. I feel he kept finding reasons not to treat me and I feel he never really provided any real solutions to perceived problems. In my opinion, he was very negative and was not looking to engage. He was hanging onto every bit of potentially negative clinical views he could. Even saying, its likely you have x without even doing the necessary tests to determine if I have x. Since when do doctors treat or not treat you based on what you might have? Ive never seen someone want things to be bad for you, even when the very thing he is attempting to pin on you does not exist Very disappointed in him I feel he was looking for a way not to see me. In my personal opinion I see defensive medicine, defensive documentation, weak investigative skills, and an absence of understanding the impact of health disparities on maternal and child health I wont beg a person to treat me. I wont beg a person to help me. I feel he was practically telling me to go somewhere else. Im not difficult, Ive paid every bill. I even paid when I was not supposed to pay. I feel he was finding a reason to bring bad news, even when there was no bad news in every single solitary thing. I feel he will take what I say and use it against me. When a physician tells you to go elsewhere, he does not want to see you. This is because, most adults are aware of their option to seek additional care or other opinions without the invitation to do so. When someone invites you to leave, its because they want you to go. So sad.
Came here for a second opinion after seeing another local fertility clinic and it was like night and day. PREG treats you as an actual patient and not just a number. They truly care about what is best for you as an individual. We originally met with them about previous losses and just to discuss options but learned about embryo adoption and now we have our miracle snowflake baby! I will forever be grateful to them for their care AND introducing us to embryo adoption. We wouldnt trade our sweet baby boy for anything!
I am thankful to Dr Payne and the Greenville staff. They were always kind and professional.. from the secretary to the wonderful lab lady. My preg miracle is now 4 months old.... and i have them to thank. As in all fertility clinics the treatments are not cheap. Be prepared to pay a pretty penny.
Dr. Payne and his team of nurses are the best. They took such good care of me! I just cant get over how friendly they were to me. Dr. Payne even called me later, checking to see, how I was doing. It meant so much, they he, himself called instead of getting one of his nurses to do it for him. They genuinely care and it shows!
My experience was great, everything from the 1st phone call to the check out. Dr. Nichols was firm but very kind and exactly what I needed during this journey. I am very hopeful for my future and so happy I went to PREG.
Thanks to preg Greenville I was able to get pregnant! Without them I wouldn’t have my baby boy! Can’t speak highly enough about this office
The staff (particularly in the Greenville office) are a little lackadaisical when it pertains to doing their part in making sure the patient’s needs are being met. Which is completely unacceptable considering the sensitivity of time, and overall sensitive nature of certain diseases/conditions/treatments. Thank God the staff have manners, and are generally nice to speak to (when I’ve actually been able to reach them, b/c they do not always answer the phone or return calls regardless of their business hours). I could say more about my not so positive experience with PREG but the bottom line is I am unimpressed.
I am truly thankful for PREG staff and doctors. The staff are always professional and welcoming. I have had visits of my happiest days and my saddest, Dr. Payne, Stephanie, Julie and Domanie have always treated myself, my husband and our feelings with the upmost respect! I would highly recommend PREG!
We love everyone at Preg! They truly care about their patients and make the infertility process as easy as it can be.
This was my 1st visit to PREG and I have more answers than Ive gotten in the last 4 years. I had a myomectomy in 2016. I had my cycle right before it and have not had one since but have all of the symptoms of one. In this one session Dr. Cookingham was able to find out what the problem was. I also really appreciate that they go over the expenses before they do anything so you know what youll pay instead of getting a surprise bill. Other dr offices could learn a thing or 2 from them.
It was quite a great experience with Dr. Nicholas and the entire staff fortheveryfirsttime. My hubby and i were very happy. I hope they will help us achieve our aims by Gods grace.
I had a terrible experience here today. First let me back up and say I had requested an appointment online. Someone got back to me the next day via email to set up an appointment. I emailed her back the same day letting her know what my situation was and wanting to make sure I didnt need to do anything else before the appointment. I didnt get a response back for a whole week, at that point I emailed again, the person called me and apologized that she ha been on vacation and thought someone was taking care of emails. She set me up with an appointment and I asked if there was anything special i needed to do to prepare, she said no, just have records faxed over. When I came in for my actual appointment, after filling out some paperwork, I was called back to Dr. Nichols office to talk. He had no idea why i was there, had records from anther patient that we not even mine. So i had to explain that i was there to talk about an IUI for Traditional surrogacy. He looked shocked when i told him and said we dont do a lot of those I told him that i wish when i scheduled that person would have let me know that because it really wasted both of our time. He said its not her job to know that, she may have looked at one part of the email and just scheduled it. (WHAT?!? This is insane) I understand that my reason for visit was not something typically seen in day in day out infertility clinics (this is why I took the time to let someone know when i scheduled the appointment). Dr. Nichols asked more questions about the specifics. Every time i said something he looked at me with a disapproving look and said, yeah, thats what i thought you would say, thats really not possible or looked at me like i was crazy. When I told him it was for some friends of ours that were a Gay couple he got more rude and told me that was very complicated and he kept telling me that there was legality involved, which i told him we had already hired a lawyer and were aware of the laws around Traditional surrogacy. He kept making assumptions that i had no idea what i was getting into even though i told him I have done my research and am aware of what is required. Telling me there are SO MANY tests that surrogates have to go through, even after i told him I knew what i was getting into. I was talked to like i was a child and that I was doing something wrong. He continued to talk down to me then finally saying he wasnt sure he could even help me. When I asked if i should just find another clinic because he didnt seem willing to try, he told me he could get some more information from me but that in this situation i was not going to have luck finding another clinic because no one is going to work with this.I dont think any person should be treated the way i was treated. I dont know if it was homophobia or unwillingness because of the Traditional surrogacy, but i have never been spoken to in such a way in my life. I would not trust this man with my own health and i certainly would not send anyone asking to this place. Its fine if you cannot help someone, I would have appreciated a simple, I am so sorry for the misunderstanding but this isnt something we do. I can recommend doing xyz to help your situation, well wishes would have sufficed. Instead i walked out of there so upset by how i had been treated that i cried in my car for 15 minutes before i could even see to drive. This may not pertain to you in your journey of infertility or whatever you may be going to PREG Greenville for, and i cannot speak to how your experience will be, but I want to make sure that I shared my story. If i can save even one woman from begin made to feel the way i was made to feel. This served its purpose.
Staff was very friendly and even took the time to double check my insurance for my deductable. Super fast service too, I was there for an hour but was moved through each process without long waits. I appreciate what these awesome Individuals do and look forward to getting my results back.
The office staff is flat out horrible. They are rude and flat out unprofessional. Deborah the other office assistant- All she cares about is getting your money! Funny how I had an appointment for may 9......did they call and remind? no! Dr. Nichols is pretty decent. But his office staff is flat out horrible.
PREG has helped us with our fertility needs and continues too now. All the staff have been wonderful and very helpful to us... Dr. Payne takes his time with us and helps us determine the best procedures we need to do. Awesome facility!
I have to agree with Nashley Tindall and Jon Brigg. Dr. Payne is nice enough, but the goal of this place is to get your hopes inflated so youll fork over $5k for IUI or $18k for IVF. I think it is clever that PREG puts endocrinology in their name... they are NOT endocrinologists, but putting it in their logo makes it sound like you dont need a REAL doctor. The staff is pleasant enough when theyre telling you to sit right there and wait and all the ways you can pay. When you need anything else from them, they are rude, inflexible, and obstructionist. Also, be prepared to wait 45 minutes to an hour in the waiting room at every scheduled appointment, unless you happen to be the first appointment of the day. Look up the Greenville Health System Fertility Center of the Carolinas. I haven’t been there (yet) but they can’t be any worse than PREG.
All the nurses and doctors are amazing. They truly care about their patients and their families. My wife and I are trying to conceive and the staff make us feel more like family and they are genuinely concerned about your wellbeing.
Very professional staff. Dr. Tanawa explained things in grave detail. The medical assistant was so good drawing labs, I did not even feel her stick me even though she counted down prior to the poke. MY EXPERIENCE WAS JUST MIND BLOWING at just the level of care. Thank you guys. 😊
We had a great experience with PREG! All the staff is so caring and kind. They are very on time for appointments and dont overbook. They take time with you and are empathetic to the difficulties of this whole process. We are very grateful to PREG!
I was very pleased at how nice everyone was when I first walked in that made me felt more relaxed. This was my first visit and I all I saw was smiles from one end to the other. When I talked to my Dr. She like every one else was very welcoming.
Preg in Greenville is amazing, from Debra at the reception, Miss Jackie in labs, nurses and Dr. All the team makes you feel welcome and cared for.
Hubby & I had our first Visit with Dr. Tarnawa & He took his time to talk / draw things out for us so we can understand where we at & things. Im Praying that Money want stand in the way & we can do this with their help & God does the rest. Thank Yall Medical Staff for making us laugh
We have been struggling with infertility for years.. The moment I meet Dr McCoy I felt like we was in the right place. Dr. McCoy and his staff are very friendly and very helpful.
I have been coming here for almost a year now. We have had a miscarriage. The office staff is friendly and supportive. I have asked a thousand repetitive questions and they have all been so patient with me and made sure I understood. But lord knows this is an expensive journey.
My husband and I started going to PREG around Feb of 2016. We found out we were pregnant in May (naturally), & were going there for prenatal care until I was far enough along to be transferred to an obgyn. I miscarried at 9 weeks. Throughout the process of having a d&c & having complications from it, a nurse stole prescription pain medication from me twice. Very long story short, I let the first time go bc I couldnt prove it was her. Second time, she was the only one with it in her possession & actually went out of her way to not only get her hands on MY medication, but to leave the room with it. It is being investigated. It honestly makes me sick that anyone, especially a nurse that should be there to help women get through such a tough & emotional journey, would do this to someone.. not considering how it could make such an awful time worse. Im so disappointed in her & the entire practice.
Dr. McCoy was amazing! Very easy to talk to and he was very knowledgeable. I instantly trusted him and believed what he was saying to me. Would definitely recommend him and PREG!
Friendly and patient-centered staff—you can tell they love what they do! I have a beautiful 5yo thanks to their knowledge, skills, and care. If I were younger and raising kids weren’t so expensive, I’d go back again and again!
They are so amazing there I went to the Greenville office they are so helpful and caring I couldn’t ask for better care I highly recommend them they are friendly and caring always put you need first and try everything to help you they will do everything to help you start your family
After paying for all the test and services, I was told I could not receive help due to my weight. My complaint is my weight did not change from the beginning. I could have been told before paying out of pocket.
Dr. McCoy was by far the worst doctor I have ever seen. While in his care, i had to take anxiety medicine just to see him. Once I left his care, I went from multiple anxiety attacks a week to just 3 in 6 weeks.
Preg was wonderful. Dr. Nichols made our dreams come true. We have our son because of them. He is now 14
I highly recommend PREG! This place is so professional, caring and considerate to your feelings. Most importantly they are very good at what they do. Thank you PREG!
A great and satisfying experience! We were blessed with a beautiful princess and they took care from day zero for everything to come up
Just recently started seeking fertility assistance through Preg. We met with Dr. McCoy and he has been fantastic! Hopeful for the treatment to come
I can not recommend Dr. McCoy and his staff enough. From the moment we walked in the door everyone we met was so welcoming. I am so glad we choose PREG!
Based on reviews and so many women on FB complaining about doctors here being very discouraging, making them feel hopeless etc. I definitely do not want to come here and would advise women to seek out a more compassionate clinic where doctors care about your success
Dr. Fru is amazing and so fun. The team is so kind and helpful. I have enjoyed every interaction with PREG.
Will not go back, only after $$$$ they dont want the IUI to work or for you to conceive naturally. This place acts like they care and smile all while pushing towards the main goal, making money.
I have to say I love Dr Nichols and his nurses are very nice and sympathetic to problems that arise with their patients, PREG is a great place to be!
I love the staff. Dr McCoy is my dr. Everyone is amazing. I have used both the Columbia and Greenville locations.
Preg gave me my first baby, they were extremely thorough and knew exactly what to do- my only regret was not going there sooner!
Were seeing them for treatment and everyone is great! The staff has been positive and supportive through this tough journey so far.
The staff and doctors were great! Lindsey was super nice and informative. Would definitely recommend to others. Thanks PREG!😃
Wonderful experience so far, great staff. Hoping they can help us get the baby that we are praying for!
Dr. McCoy is a great doctor. Went here for treatment for endometriosis. Highly recommend him.
Best experience I’m almost done with the process super excited hopefully the next time I come in it’s for my wife and not me.
Great care but left several messages about my bill and they never return my call.
Staff was very friendly. Very accommodating even with a scheduling mixup. Highly recommend.
They took great care of us and we can’t thank them enough for our miracle!!
Dr. Nicholas was so rude. I would never go back. Literally had me in tears.
Great place very informative and helpful so glad to start our journey with them
Excellent and very friendly people, I recommend them 100%.
I really love this PREG I bless to be there working with their specialist
Great customer service
Do not go here.... They have one goal, and its not you.
Everyone is so kind, informative, and understanding!
