The excellent care that I have received at VPFW deserves a gold star rating. Dr.Clary is an expert in his field, very knowledgeable as well as caring ,and has a good sense of humor ,a gift that helps when going to the doctor. The nurses and staff are also friendly and helpful . I am grateful for my good experience and care at VPFW and the wonderful medical team.
Dr. Clary is an excellent physician and surgeon. He has a very kind and caring manner about him. I trust him more than any other surgeon. He was a tremendous help in my healing process. His staff is very kind and professional as well. I had a very good outcome and am very pleased with VPFW
The office admin were efficient and polite. Dr. Clary was exceptional as usual. He was kind, informative and his humor helps to put patients at ease.
Dr Clary is awesome! He listens and understands what I am saying and always asks my concerns. He was recommended by a friend and so glad I went!
Dr. Clary is the only provider I dont dread seeing. He always makes me feel comfortable and heard.
I came here for a second opinion on what seemed was a horrific disease with no way to get help or even cease any of the pain from it. The doctor I was with wasnt helping me at all anymore, in fact, he pushing medical implants instead of anything else. Dr. Clary is by far the ABSOLUTE BEST Urogynecologist in the Richmond area hands down. I cannot say enough greatness about him and HIGHLY recommend anyone that needs help with any of these specific issues for women to come here. Dont even look anywhere else!!
Dr. Clary performed my surgery earlier this month, and I couldnt be happier. I barely felt like I had surgery. I was back to doing normal activities in a couple of days (excluding lifting) and have felt great all along. He was very accommodating and informative. I cant say enough good things about my experience.
I am so thankful for Dr. Clary! My journey has not been easy, but through every step, Ive been treated with respect, truly listened to and informed of my options. Most of all, I have appreciated his ability to anticipate my needs and be a calming presence. Thanks to Dr. Clary and his VPFW team!-Lauren
Dr. Clary was excellent he made me feel comfortable and he explained the different procedures that I could have. He gave me many options to choose. It was my first visit and I felt like I had been going to him for years. He allowed me to ask many questions and I never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend him.
Dr. Clary has been an awesome doctor. He is a great communicator and treats patience with kindness and respect. If all doctors could practice this way. He assisted me through a challenging pregnancy and post care.
Doctor Clary is by far the best OB/GYN. He is caring kind and very compassionate for and to his patience. He speaks to you before examing you and then after exam he invites you to his office to take care of any other concerns you may have truly listening and truly caring.
Dr. Clary is jus Awesome. He makes me feel hes got my back and indeed he proves it. Total health care of a person is number 1 on his list. I could talk to him about anything. I could call him anytime and this is a Dr. Who cares about humanity not only your health.Thank you Dr. Clary. God bless you.
I have to admit, I was devastated when I learned my OBGYN, Dr. Smith, was retiring and wouldnt be around to accompany me in my journey to parenthood. After having been under his care for 12 years, the thought of finding a new OBGYN was a bit daunting. However, Dr. Clary very quickly assured me I was left in great hands. Besides his impeccable bedside manner, he is exceedingly knowledgeable and compassionate and always makes sure I never leave an appointment with unanswered questions. Like his predecessor, he truly cares about his patients and their well-being. If youre searching for an OBGYN, Dr. Clary is your guy!
I saw Dr. Clary about 13 years ago. I was 23 years old and scared. He was amazing. He made me feel like a good mom even though I was young and totally unprepared. He was young and inexperienced at the time but he was fantastic. Hes a great doctor❤️
Love and feel comfortable employees are Respectful , Curteous and the Doctors are efficient answer any questions explain what you need to know so you understand whats happening and what your options are.Feel comfortable , well informed and well taken care of.
July 2020 update. My 24/7 pain is still here since my surgery with him. It is the biggest regret of my life. I lay in bed almost 24/7 in pain now. I am doing all I can to find help but since that surgery my life is hell. The pain is so horrid and I think the damage is permanent at this point. I wish I could go back. I had a bad feeling about surgery with him.I have been in chronic pain ever since my surgery with him. My biggest regret was having surgery with him as my surgeon.I came out of it (ablation) with 24/7 chronic pain. He did not fully take out an ovary that was to be removed and I was still covered in endometriosis. I found this out in a surgery following him.Another thing that really upset me was when I saw him before surgery for an urgent visit as I was having severe pain. I actually brought an overnight bag in case I had to be admitted. I was worried something was wrong. I explained my pain and symptoms. He said I was acting like a drug seeker which shocked me and could not be further from the truth. Not only did I not ask for pain medication but I was under contract with another doctor for pain management so I could not accept it if he offered it. At that moment I should have cancelled the surgery but I was desperate. My instincts told me not to go with him. I left that appointment crying and feeling as if I was going crazy.I have had 3 surgeries since trying to correct the chronic pain and have now accepted that I am permanently disabled from it.*This comment is 100% my perspective and opinion. In no way am I claiming that I can prove he did permanent damage...but I wish I could. Again, it was not like this before my surgery with him.
Whats in a name? Apparently everything. Im married and I use my husbands last name for just about everything. Although weve been married for several years, my insurance company never issued me an updated card. I guess it saves money? Besides, it has NEVER been an issue. When I showed up at Dr. Clarys office as a new patient, I was told that my name didnt match my insurance card. In a very haughty manner, I was told this was new policy at Henrico Doctors. I wish someone had told me this when Id made my appointment? Let me say, I was at the office because I was in agony and needed assistance, not a tongue-lashing. I was allowed to see the doctor, but unbeknownst to me, my identity on my hospital records were changed. All of them. Dr. Clary seemed nice, and a little taken aback by my attitude, and I shouldve told him how I was basically berated by his office staff, but stupidly I let it go. However, when I went to the local CVS to pick up my prescriptions -- which wouldve helped me through the night, they wasnt there. I checked again later, no prescriptions, although Dr. Clary promised he would send ASAP. The following day, after a horrible night, I had an ah-ha moment and called CVS asking them to check under my maiden name. Sure enough, they had been there all along. Days later, I called my primary care doctor on a separate issue. The office receptionist, who knew me, couldnt find me in the database. After a few minutes, of logging in and off, and/or using different search criteria, I asked her to check under my maiden name. Sure enough, there I was in her database with my old name. What if I had a medical emergency where access to my medical records were necessary? Livid, I called Dr. Clarys office and asked to speak to the doctor. The nurse served as an interceptor and mouthed back the noise of hospital policy and/or she didnt understand my complaint. What about patient care? Or what about someone changing another persons records without their consent? Needless to say, I never, ever heard back from Dr. Clary. He seemed like a nice enough guy, but ultimately, hes responsible for the actions of his staff. Did he get my message? Not sure. I moved on. Im with a much nicer office where, yes, they had to change my name in the system, yet again. Really, if this insurance cards thing is an issue, then the hospital need to see if insurance carriers routinely send out updated cards, or how about this, refer to the patient identification numbers and/or contact the insurance companies to verify. You know, something proactive like that...
He assured me that he would do everything he could do to help me have a healthy baby, and he did! Dr. Clary is a man of his word, and I will forever be grateful. Hes simply the BEST!!!
He is by far the best OB I ever had. He was there with me through my whole pregnancy, all the complications and the delivery. I refuse to ever see another OB. I will cry if he ever retires. He is very caring and listens to how you are feeling and doesnt dismiss you or your symptoms. Which a lot of OBs do. He even checked on me the day after he delivered my daughter. So blessed he is my OB.
Glad I became a pt here. Just had surgery with him & Im so excited to see what the future holds. He has given me hope to be able to have a family. Awesome doctor!
Excellent physician who really listens.
He is the best doctor, Kind, compassionate, & brilliant. He actually listens to you, and will give you health care options in very simple terms.
Everyone at this office cares about their patients!
Hes an amazing doctor and human. Hes professional, knowledgeable, and caring. You couldnt ask for a better obgyn.
My girlfriends daughter goes to this Dr. They love him. He is always available even after hours and in weekends.
Very poor surgery experience. Did not fully remove ovary as part of surgery objective. I do not trust this provider. Felt rushed.
The best. I fly from Florida just to keep him as my doctor.
Very caring practice
