I recently gave birth at Serenity in February 2024 and it was a wonderful and peaceful experience. Lorraine was the midwife who attended my birth and she was encouraging, caring and gentle. Barbara and Ashley were also part of my birth that day and both were wonderful and helpful. The staff at Serenity was incredible and took great care of myself and my family. As for the room itself, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large and easily accessible. I appreciated the care everyone showed and not feeling rushed afterwards. We took our time as I recovered and we bonded with our son. I am so thankful for my experience.
10/10 prenatal, birth, and postpartum experience. I wish I could be a spokesperson for this place! My first birth was a traumatic one in a hospital and I needed my second to be a healing experience. I am so glad I made the choice to birth at Serenity! The best support you can have and the most passionate, caring team. I wish everyone was forced to give birth this way and bond beautifully with their child from the moment they are born. Choose Serenity now!
I wish I could express in words how much these ladies are amazing and talented but words just don’t do them justice. I called them at 38 weeks pregnant and thank God they accepted me. I was seeing the midwife at a OBGYN office and I just felt in my heart I needed a more natural midwife and not a medical midwife. I had a horrible rough experience with my first birth 5 years prior in Washington state and I was really hoping to redeem my heart and mind with my second labor! I knew I wanted April to be my midwife with her vast experience!! She also was able to talk through a ton of questions and concerns my husband had because of the issues we faced in our first labor experience. Well this baby came super fast April was on the phone with us and we had the baby! April came minutes after! Applaud her trying to get to us as fast as possible at 5pm with Vegas 215 traffic!! My aftercare has been stellar, seeing both April and Sarah! I had an issue two days after labor and Sarah came to my home, I hadn’t met her yet and she took the best care of me and sat and chatted with us for a long time! We love sarah, super knowledgeable and will inform you with all the questions you have! I’m 6 weeks PP, and just finished my PP visits and I’m sad! Love these two midwives, very special place in my heart for you both! From one business owner to another April, you are amazing and I have so much respect for what you have built in the state of Nevada. You are a baddy!
I recently gave birth to a healthy beautiful baby boy (11/12/2023) at this birth center and the experience was incredible. The staff is top tier; they genuinely enjoy working with women and families and it shows. The birth center has a spa-like vibe, its very warm and welcoming! I felt comfortable, relaxed, and I received the best assistance one could ever ask for during such a vulnerable time. I am so thankful for Serenity Birth Center, I will use them again and also recommend them to my friends and family!
I had a beautiful birth experience at Serenity birth center. It is a calming, clean facility attended by midwives who are professional and personable. This space is a safe, positive, empowering place to bring new life into the world. I believe this contributed to me having a short and safe labor. I trust the attending women and the facility. The center has nitrous oxide available for use, an amenity that is widely popular outside the US. This is something that really eased the intensity of my labor, and I feel more women should have access to. I wholeheartedly recommend Serenity Birth Center.
Serenity Birth Center holds a special place in my heart for the incredible journey they guided me through. The teams commitment to natural birth and genuine well-woman care created an environment that felt like home. From the personalized attention throughout my pregnancy to the serene birthing experience, every moment was met with expertise and heartfelt compassion. Serenity Birth Center truly deserves its five-star rating for making my path into motherhood exceptionally meaningful. My deepest gratitude to the entire team for making this journey uniquely mine.
Giving birth at Serenity Birth Center was the exact experience I dreamed of to bring our first baby into the world! The birthing suite was so comforting just like being home and I was able to give birth in their amazing tub. I felt so confident being there and had so much trust in all of the midwives. We didn’t feel rushed at all, even after baby was born. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and relaxing experience. I cannot thank Sarah and the rest of our midwife team enough!
I had the most amazing delivery at Serenity! I labored 90% at home and the remainder at the birth center. This being my first baby, I did not know what to expect. My labor went by really quickly and everything progressed so fast, but the staff at Serenity was so helpful and ready for me when I arrived. My amazing doula Alexyis called the birth center to let them know we were headed that way so they could prepare. When I got there, the bathtub was ready and warm for me. April was the midwife on call that day and she made the whole experience that much better with her calmness and encouragement. Everyone there was a joy and made the experience that much better. I appreciate and love the Serenity staff! I can’t wait to have more babies there. Oh and the facility is beautiful! Very clean and nice. Way better than a hospital! I 10/10 recommend Serenity for those interested in a non medicated, natural labor/birth.
The most amazing place to have a baby! I had a water birth with my baby. These women brought me in and made me feel right at home. I’ve always wanted to do a natural birth and they gave me so much knowledge about my baby when she was still growing and helped me with so many resources to be able to birth how I wanted. The aftercare right after birth was very therapeutic as well. I highly recommend these wonderful women 🙏🏽
This review is long overdue. I will start off by saying all of the ladies there are wonderful. From front desk, support staff , billing to midwife’s and Rns. I had my 7th baby there wanting an experience that my other children and husband could all be a part of. Let me tell you , they felt like family! Every appointment I had with April and Sarah was amazing . Felt like I was talking to a long time friend. I have very fast labors so I knew I’d be birthing quick once in actual labor. When I finally made it to the birth center , Alexis (also amazing) was there to help me and my family get comfortable. When I started getting into active labor and my children were antsy , April actually took them for a walk while my husband and I stayed at the center so I could labor in some quiet. Tell me what hospital does that! Above and beyond! Not once did I feel unwelcome because I had a big family or a bother! Alexis got my oldest children involved letting them help her with my placenta after birthing like a mini science lesson. My children talk about that experience often and feel Ever closer to their new baby sister because they were a part of her birthing process. My baby was born en caul which is very rare just like this amazing birthing experience. If you have any doubts about having your baby here, just do it. You won’t regret it. There’s ton of resources they have to help you before , during , and after you have your baby. 10/10 experience. I don’t anticipate any more mini humans but if I Ever had another baby , Serenity would be my first choice ! I thank them from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful experience they gave !
The birth center was the perfect environment for us to bring our son into the world. Once I was pregnant, I strongly desired to have a natural birth without medication or unnecessary intervention. As a nurse and lover of all things medical, my family was surprised by my choice. For me, I didn’t see birth medical process but as an innate and intimate experience. I knew a home birth was not for me; Serenity Birth Center was the perfect place. It had all of the touches and comforts of being at home. The space is perfectly set up to labor, birth, and bond as a family. What I loved most:*The midwives (of course) - shout out to the power team Dani and Sarah!*The atmosphere - ambient lighting, quiet, large bed, huge birthing tub, only us there (not the chaos of a busy hospital).*Peace of mind - I knew there was emergency equipment and transfer protocols in place if medical intervention became necessary. I was given all information ahead of time and was monitored throughout to ensure the birth center was appropriate for our situation.Serenity Birth Center is a fantastic option for anyone hoping to have an intimate birthing experience with high quality care.
I had the most wonderful experience at Serenity, many thanks to this amazing team of women who spread so much love in prenatal care.I had my first daughter in the hospital, and I had a neutral experience, but I did not feel good thinking about my delivery, I felt out of control and little taken into account.I had my positive test sure that this experience wanted it to be different. I started my pregnancy with an OBGYN, and I knew I would switch if given the chance. The Doula that I met when I was 16 weeks pregnant for my delivery told me about Serenity Birth Center, I wanted to have a delivery without an epidural and to achieve this it was better to change the environment, with doubts but following my instinct I signed up with them, they accepted me and OMG! This experience has been special, from the monthly checkups to meeting all the amazing and friendly midwives and staff. My husband was unsure about this change out of fear, and meeting April in our first interview changed her perception of childbirth. Thanks for that, April. I did not want to miss the opportunity to have my baby this way, my husbands feelings were decisive and your wisdom and tranquility left reflected in the conversation, it made him feel safe, he trusted your words.I am satisfied and happy to choose this team . Having my second daughter here fills me with joy because everything turned out as I imagined.I have to say that my delivery was very sudden for the midwives who were on call that day, one day after my 41 week, 12 am and the contractions began to feel intense and close in time, before that I was like nothing.I called, and Sarah (my favorite midwife) was on call that night a yuppie for me. A couple of minutes on the phone, things were getting serious, Doula Edna arrived at my house, and everything happened very quickly. Within 20 minutes of seeing me work, she realized that she was ready to go.Sarah gave us the positive to leave, I can tell you in a few words that we arrived at approximately 2:15am and they had everything ready, they gave me a nice welcome, my stellar team, Sarah, Melissa, Barbara and my incredible Doula Edna, together to my active husband and 3-year-old daughter.Everything happened very quickly, they listened to me at all times, I wanted to check my cervix to find out but at the moment I was sitting trying to get comfortable it was impossible, the surges were very intense. I felt that my daughter was already coming, and I remember that without hesitation, they took me to the tub to work there. My water broke right with the next contraction. Everything was incredibly fast.My body warned me that my girl was coming, I couldnt believe it, i was feeling everything, i was being the captain of my ship and it felt very good to know what I had to do feeling my body. It was intense and very powerful. My check confirmed that it was ready. In 10 or 15 more minutes and I already had my daughter in my arms with the help of my husband and the hands of Sarah, who helped me in the process. All this was incredible for us as a couple, a very beautiful experience, we were in shock, we could not believe it.Melissa, she was amazing, I felt so well taken care of by her. What a great passion to care about. With this team, I felt like family, in confidence, and their way of handling situations is very calm. At all times, I trusted and felt very safe with them.April, who also arrived at my postpartum, I was very happy to see her, she is so affectionate with my baby and my older girl. Her care with me was beautiful, I felt tired, very tired but happy, very happy to be there with them together with my husband and my two daughters 💖Without a doubt, here is the best place to have a positive birth, intervention free, with amazing people and stellar care.Thank you so much.
Im giving two stars simply because i really loved my experience here BEFORE actually going into labor…most of the midwives I met with during my pregnancy were amazing. I felt like they actually cared about the health of me and my unborn child.Everything in my pregnancy up until the end was perfect. About a month before I was due, my baby decided to turn and stay in a position that was not ideal. I was reassured over and over by staff that everything would be fine and that baby would turn and be head down once contractions started. Unfortunately, this did not happen. I’m not sure why I wasn’t risked out once baby was in this position since it made it so they would not be able to be birthed vaginally…I ended up laboring at the birth center for many many hours before being transferred to a hospital for emergency c section. While laboring at the center, I felt very alone. I am a first time mom and had no idea what I was doing. My mother in law and husband were with me but couldnt do much but sit by and watch while I was in pain and not getting any closer to pushing baby out. A***l just slept in the other room while I labored and only came in periodically. She never offered to try and help move baby into the optimal position or offer support and guidance. The Instagram photos really made it look like I would have a midwife there by side the whole time, braiding my hair, rubbing my back..etc. Really wish I had had the amazing experience everyone else apparently has.
I highly recommend Serenity Birth Center for any woman having a baby/babies. It was the best experience Ive had when it comes to child birth 💜. These ladies really care about their patients and they take the time to listen to you. My heart is broken💔 that my last post partum visit was recently because these sweet ladies really made me feel like I was part of a family💜
As a first time mom the knowledge and guidance Serenity gave me was priceless. I attended Sarah’s class Earthside. It was such a positive space for first time parents and left my partner and I feeling ready and empowered for the birth of our baby! Sarah provided doula services to me (I opted for a hospital birth, as it was my first baby) I went into labor rather suddenly and she was there for me every step of the way! She was instrumental in my birth wishes being met by the hospital staff. I could not have imagined a better birth story and having her there to speak for me was just such a huge part of the positive experience. She even made sure to capture those first moments for us which was just so thoughtful. If we have another baby my partner and I have both decided it will be with Serenity and we will definitely utilize Sarah as a midwife, she is so knowledgeable and really we feel we would be in the best hands with her. Thank you so much for the beautiful experience.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Serenity Birth Center. From the initial interaction, Sarah assured me that I would receive exceptional care with the team at Serenity. I’m of “advanced maternal age” and I was concerned about my pregnancy since I wouldn’t be seeing a traditional OBGYN. Please! If i ever get pregnant again, I will be contacting Serenity! Every midwife I met with during the months that I received care were great! Barbara and April were perfect at my birth. My daughter had shoulder dystocia and April solved that QUICKLY. I couldn’t have imagined a better birthing situation and I’m so proud to say I am a client of Serenity Birth Center. Thank you for such a redeeming birth, a very primal, ancestor honoring birth. I’ll never be able to NOT give you all your flowers for how you helped me. April- YOU ARE EVERYTHING GIRL! I love you all for helping me bring my baby girl earthside. 💜
Love the birth center! Cozy, quiet and peaceful. You can feel the love and care happening here. Parent advocate midwives and staff. Although we chose a home birth for a few different reasons, it was a hard decision not to birth at the center.Love the staff, education on pregnancy, birth and your body. Couldn’t recommend them more!
This birthing center is AMAZING!! While I gave birth at home, I did have a few appointments there and it is the most relaxing environment and welcoming environment. My husband was equally impressed with the center. You wont regret having your baby with April and her staff. From the front desk to everyone else, you are met with professionalism, a kind smile, and genuine concern. Who would miss going to prenatal and post partum appointments? I will!! The team is like an extended family that I will miss!!
I was a returning customer. Gave birth to my first child on2023. Wont be retuning for my second or any future children. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.For my second child, I scheduled my first appointment as soon as they would take me as I get very harsh symptoms. It was very urgent for me to be seen. They sent me credentials that didnt work for my new portal. I emailed them through the website to let them know the info they sent me didnt work. They never got back to me and cancelled my appointment without reaching out to me directly. Not a single phone call or email to let me know. When I showed up to my appointment that I scheduled months ago they said its cancelled and the whole staff was condescending when I told them I just need this solved and be seen. I ended up leaving as they refused to provide quality care and support. They just wanted to keep telling me it was my fault even though they sent me credentials that didnt work and never called me or reached out to me directly. What a difference a year makes in service! THis place sucks now.
I’m so glad that I found facility that based on a natural delivery and whom I can truly trust. Even though I changed my mind last minute during my third trimester about delivering baby at the hospital towards birthing center, Serenity birthing center still accepted me .But it was a journey. Deep breathing , hot tub, snacks and coconut water helped a lot! What helped also lot is a laughing gas , it got me to relaxed mind and got me more energy to push. Clean room and soft bed makes you feel very comfortable .Julia and April were so nice to us , understanding , supporting and reliable during the whole delivery process , and welcomed my son into the world after over 30 hours in labour ! Im so grateful for your help ! And big thank you for making every pregnant women feel special on her delivery journey !
Serenity Birth Center has a very relaxing and inviting feel to it. Everyone at the Center is kind and attentive. I never felt rushed through my appointments and my questions were always answered thoroughly. Wonderful experience all around through both of my pregnancies.
I delivered my baby girl here in Oct 2022 and cannot be more pleased with the entire experience at the birth center. For my prenatals we were apart of Babys First Day, which is affiliated with this birth center. We loved every midwife who is apart of Serenity/ Babys 1st Day, that any one of them who would have been on shift to deliver (or as midwife April says, you deliver your baby I just assisted!) our girl we would have felt safe and secure with. I had a verrrryyy long and intense labor but the entire time I never felt scared or nervous because I trusted the midwives expertise that everything was OK. I was able and encouraged to move freely from bed to tub, to toilet, to shower as I felt right throughout the labor. After our birth, we were left as a family to lay in bed together to relax, recover and bond as a new family- no nurses interrupting every few minutes like in a hospital but our midwife/ RN were right outside the door if we needed them. The Birth Center is so lovingly designed- from the low lighting, comfortable bed, decorations, snacks and drinks, the beautiful birthing tub, etc- everything is expertly curated to make you feel comfortable and keep your oxytocin flowing! The birth center is perfect for people like me, who want the comforts of a home birth but the medical equipment available (obviously with in reason).I also love that they are so closed to UMC in case a transfer was needed and they practice routinely with the fire department for emergency,I HIGHLY recommend this birth center and the woman at Babys First Day to help YOU deliver YOUR baby!
A beautiful, calm, and peaceful atmosphere. By far this has been the best experience for my family and I, we are very happy with choosing Serenity as our birthing center. The team was very helpful and supportive.
The midwives and staff at Serenity are exceptional at what they do, and I could not be more grateful for their practice and my experience with each of them. This is how birth should be. At Serenity, they truly care about what is best for birthing people and babies—and it shows. They will never do anything to you or for you without your consent, they will support your wishes, and they won’t use scare tactics. They will also teach you how to educate yourself and navigate interventions so you are prepared and confident in the choices you make for your body and baby. They made me feel safe, informed, empowered, and unexpectedly passionate throughout my pregnancy, birth, and now postpartum. For my own reasons, it is difficult for me to trust in the care of doctors/hospitals. At Serenity, I was easily and immediately able to trust in all of their knowledge and support. They have become some of my favorite people ever just by being themselves and doing what they do!Their low percentages of transfer and cesareans are impressive, but they would also never ignore anything that would put you or baby at risk to keep those % rates low (like some hospitals do). And they would never do what’s quicker or more convenient for them (like some hospitals do).I will recommend their practice to every birthing person I know. What they do is so important and essential for the community, and I’m thrilled that Southern Nevada has this incredible option. I will never know how to properly thank Serenity for all they’ve done, and continue to do, for me and my family. We love all of you!- The Kavehs
Love Love Love Serenity Birth Center and Baby’s First Day Midwives!! This is the best place to have your baby!! All of the lovely midwives here truly care about your wellbeing and let you make all the choices about your own body and respect your choices. If you are seeking peace and comfort during this sensitive time, (pregnancy) this is the place! I would give these ladies 10 stars not 5!
Highly recommend! I had a beautiful birth experience here and would love to have all potential babies here. The team and staff is absolutely wonderful, and April is the most kind and lovely human you’ll ever meet.
I loved my experience at Serenity Birth Center everything was kid of unplanned but they made every moment very pleasant. My favorite part was the bath tub it was very big and had enough room for me and my husband. Most definitely will be using this center again.
Was anticipating giving birth here. From the pictures everything looks good however, there’s a high chance you can get denied if you have any prior health issues (although they mention 3 major X factors it’s really 4.) One on one consults should be conducted and a screening should be in place before just registering you in a group zoom setting and taking all health insurance information. I asked several times are they sure I can deliver here and I was reassured yes, scheduled for an appointment, completed the group zoom consultation, switched my prenatal care, completed the LENGTHY online registration portal, all to be called the day before my appointment and say they will not take me. Big inconvenience!!! A DAY BEFORE MY PRENATAL APPOINTMENT. So be careful not to start the process and switch over and lose prenatal care in total. On top of that when they called they just said they can refer me to high risk center without even asking me my health issues. So beware if you have hypertension (controlled and all) you still may be denied. Smh 🤦🏽♀️***Edited: in response to their unprofessional reply. Accentuating someone is an unhealthy person and or using the terms “healthy birthing persons” further prove my point as to why this place is a joke. I have had a successful Vbac so try using better verbiage. Too bad I can’t give this company zero stars. Good luck ladies, also you are kicked out the same day you give birth (😩). Might as well stay home.
I was referred to Serenity for GYN services from a friend who had a home birth. This experience was something like I’ve never experienced before. I’m a LPN, and I’ve worked in multiple hospitals and have visited multiple medical clinics. This experience was unique, calming, precise, informative, patient, and overall the most amazing service I’ve received in healthcare, EVER. I’m fairly new to the area, and I’ve been looking for a GYN provider. I’m so happy to have gone to Serenity! Thank you.
YOU CAN DO IT, and the ladies at serenity birth center will help. I have had 2 of the most amazing experiences here! The first is named Lily and the second is Matthew!! I never knew birth could be so calm and such an incredible experience that I would tell everyone I know my story. Both my kids were born with April and Sarah and what a wonderful team they make. The entire serenity team works so hard every day to instill confidence in their mamas. They were with me every step of motherhood, from prenatal appointments through my transition into being a mom with their breast feeding support groups. I always felt comfortable and safe with my midwives, as they made sure to be gentle and knowledgeable and excited with me for each of my babies. HOME BIRTH HOMEBIRTH HOMEBIRTH! And definitely homebirth with serenity birth center.
The entire team is welcoming, friendly, and a joy to work with. During visits everyone was attentive to my needs and wishes for my pregnancy. They provided personalized follow up and made every effort possible to ease my mind about pregnancy related issues. During my home birth everyone was very supportive and the energy in the room was relaxing. I would recommend this amazing team to anyone that is looking for a home birth.
I havent been to the brand new birth center yet, but I was a client during my first pregnancy. They made my husband and I feel so comfortable and confident throughout our pregnancy. They are incredible women and know how to empower you with knowledge and positivity! Sarahs birth course, Earthside, helped us even more than our prenatal appointments alone. We learned a lot and had fun doing it. I had a beautiful home water birth and they helped me deliver a healthy baby girl. Born 3/30/21. April was such a force for us, she held space and let me know I could do it and I was doing it. Guess what, I did it! She helped my husband and I both stay confident in my ability to birth.(my doula didnt make it in time for the birth) She helped with affirmations and held my hand when I needed her too. They cared for me so lovingly after the birth and made me feel so safe. The whole staff helped to make our pregnancy journey a happy one. We will be repeat clients if we decide to have another little💕 I highly recommend these wonderful women.
I had the most amazing home birth one year ago with the help of my midwives! The trust and emotional strength these women gave me was something I never knew I needed until it came to having a natural home birth in a birthing pool. They gave me so much confidence while still being the most professional and answered all of my questions every check up I had. The best experience I could ask for. 100% would always recommend April Clyde:-)
I had an amazing home birth with Sarah. It was such an empowering experience! Highly recommend. From prenatal care, birth and postpartum. I felt very well taken care of, and now I wouldn’t trust anybody else for my women’s care!
OMG! Choosing Serenity Birth Center as my place of giving birth was hands down, the BEST thing I have ever done in my life. The experience was so raw and emotional. So intimate and just so very amazing. The nurse who assisted in my delivery was so very kind and witty. Made my labor not as bad as I thought. April was also amazing- giving me the space to labor and get through it on my own while also giving me the possitive affirmations that I needed… it was just lovely.Since I wasn’t able to afford a birthing class and I didn’t have a doula, I was very nervous if I could even do it but they reassured me every step of the way that I could do it. It honestly gave me a lot of confidence for when labor started. Labored for about 8 hours at home, and 2 hours at the center and at its peak, I still felt it was super easy laboring at the center with some guided support.I would relive that moment 100000x over if I could, no matter how painful. It was just too amazing to forget, and I still talk about it to this day. I’ve already referred a few of my fellow pregnant peers to check out Serenity Birth Center and I would seriously recommend it to anyone atleast looking into a different birthing option other than a hospital. (:
Amazing! I love the team at the birth center and the atmosphere is great. I liked being able to get into the bath and also walk around while being in labor. A warm welcome for a baby
This place was way more comfortable then a hospital setting. I am very happy I chose to have my son here. The midwives are amazing.
April and crew are amazing!!
This is without a doubt the best place to bring a baby into this world. If you believe in respectful, kind, well-educated and up-to-date care then Serenity Birth Center is the place for you and your family. My birth was excellent and we owe part of it to Sarah our Midwife. She is an excellent midwife, educated, kind, well-informed but much better than that is her good vibes and energy WE LOVE SARAH!!!. The entire staff at this place is incredibly adorable. If I had another baby again I would never go to a hospital. The only thing they lack is a pediatrician so we wouldnt have to leave them once our babies are born. You literally wont want to abandon them. Thousands of thanks to all the midwife, Sarah, Carrol, April and all the other midwifes.
