The employees extort rent deposits from the disabled and dont respond to inquiry at all. Section 8 tenants who dont have the mental physical capacity to report verbal abuse and intimidation are subject to PTSD as bullying ensues over monies. AFAN has a heinous network with b&r management. They share employees, documents, and collaborate to instill distrust amongst tenants by claiming in writing that tenants are reporting various untrue claims against one another. The tactics of removing tenants by volume controlled verbal harassment has been effective. The director collaborates and talks to the tenants by suppressing and silencing their complaints with a pale hint of concern. Theyre all caseworkers for ppl too afraid to talk or too ignorant to know theyve been ignored in writing for over a decade and no one notices or cares because theyre disabled or ill.
Yeah, they will not return emails or phone calls. I even wrote out a message and slide it under the door since they dont ever unlock it. Just a bad joke!

KC is the best, very friendly and knowledgeable.
Knowlegable staff providing much needed referals to resources much needed by its clients educating the client to navigate the system helps everyone to help themselfs. Afans contribution over years has turn helplessness into hope one client at a time.JCulverson, AdminTake Charge Nevada

Please, it is time for these agencies to be audited, since this ANTIOCO arrived this agency has run out of funds, be careful because soon this man will make AFÁN disappear, just as NALA disappeared. These agencies keep the money you give them to help and are careful if they post a review of who they are and how they treat clients why they then deny you any service. A real shame, this place never has enough counselors in Spanish. It is not possible that mental health being theThe number one problem in our country is that these agencies never have any help. There is always an excuse: they grab funds from the government, from Ryan White, and they can never help, and when they want or supposedly want to give help, people are already worse off.For many years AFÁN was one of the best agencies to help people with HIV, unfortunately since the new director ANTIOCO arrived this has been getting worse every day, they dont help you, they send you to food banks, where the food is thrown away. to lose, it pays to help you with the rent, they ask you for more requirements like never seen before, it seems that the funds are destined for improvements to the office and its employees. It is time for AFÁN to have a director who returns to do what he always was, not someone who only sees for himself
