The medical services team deserves FIVE stars plus. My primary care physician, Dr. Allen Perkins deserves a zillion stars. Nurse Manager, Lauren Young is exceptional! The phone room staff are the best I have ever encountered.However, communication service, i, e., patient portal and Billing deserve minus five stars. Moreover, when I attempted to communicate through a corporate headquarters for assistance, patient services staff instruct to leave a message.If I was not a long-term patient of Dr. Perkins, and if I had not been privileged to be efficiently and kindly assisted by Nurse Manager Lauren Young, I would be looking for another practice.
The office is very clean and organized. All staff have been exceptionally professional and kind. They all work hard to make sure you are seen in a timely manner and that you are heard. Tanya has gone above and beyond, in my opinion. You can tell she genuinely cares.
Speaking from a past employee point of view, this is not the best functioning establishment. You can expect to wait atleast 1 hour before being seen if you’re a new patient or not friends with the nurse practitioner because she’s going to sit in her office beating around the bush until she gets ready to see you, she will also allow her friends and family to come off the street with no appointment and get serviced before waiting patients. I have had elderly patients call me saying they need the refills they were promised but since Tanya couldn’t remember saying it, they were asked to come in when they were already taking public transportation to get there in the first place, but in the same hour a friend calls and gets prescription samples off the record and that’s just not fair in my eyes. Now speaking from a patient point of view, I made an appointment for a simple test in which I already knew the diagnosis but I needed it on paper. Upon arriving to my appointment I was told I had been rescheduled but not notified so I spent my lunch break making a blank trip and not being able to make the rescheduled visit-I say all that to say if you are considering Accordia Health & Wellness on Hillcrest just keep your options open.
I have visited Accordia Health & Wellness many times, and every time I have a positive experience. Tanya is a wonderful healthcare provider. She takes her time during every visit and is very thorough. I always leave knowing everything was discussed and that my health is in good hands.
Absolutely deserving staff. Nurse Tonya is someone that breaks everything down to you, from the medications you are currently taking by definition for you to understand. Anything that she finds out of order, she will correct & suggest different that may help. A clean, neat, & professional establishment.
Professional, knowledgeable, friendly staff. Fast and timely appointments but they took time when seeing me, discussed my situation in depth and answered all of my questions. Tanya is fantastic. I recommend this business to anyone needing a good primary care doctor.
I walked in with no appointment and after completing some paperwork as a new patient, was seen in 15 minutes. Staff were super nice! Location was convenient and clinic was bright and clean. Will go back! Thank you!
