The Couri Center should be rated #1 for the Illinois area. They all are very nice&kind making you feel welcome&cared for. Dr.Jen Lynch is very kind she treated me with care&made sure i received all the information i needed. Her nurse was very very kind took very good care of me. Her nurse made me feel welcome&made sure any questions if any were answered. The receptionist at the front desk whom checked me out went above&beyond her job to make sure she got me to my next appointment instead of having to come back. She made me feel important&cared for as a patient. I would highly recommen the Couri Center its very clean&nice inside with smiles from everyone waiting to greet you. The second appointment i had the nurse was very nice&made sure i was comfortable doing my exam she handle me with good care! I honestly thank God for such a beautiful place full of amazing people to care for my health. 100% The Best..
I recently visited the Couri Center and was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was exceptionally welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home. The office itself is very nicely appointed, creating a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere that really eases any typical healthcare visit anxiety. What stood out most was the minimal wait time. It’s clear they respect their patients’ time and schedule, which is so refreshing. The team here goes above and beyond to ensure that every visit is as smooth and efficient as possible, reflecting their commitment to excellent patient care and service.Overall, I highly recommend the Couri Center to anyone looking for top-notch medical attention in a caring and professional environment. Their blend of a wonderful staff, efficient service, and a beautiful office makes them a standout healthcare provider.
I usually do not leave reviews, but I want to encourage women who may be hesitant to seek care due to experiences with other offices to consider the Couri Center. All providers (specifically Dr. Mouro and NP’s Jen and Mary), nurses, U/S tech and lab staff that I’ve interacted with have been wonderful; making uncomfortable moments bearable with their kindness, professionalism, patience and respect. It’s a busy office, but I do not feel like a “number”- my preferences/ health goals/ health concerns are heard and followed up. If you need a gyn surgeon- Dr. Mouro has been absolutely amazing; both in bedside manner and skill. My quality of life has significantly improved since becoming a patient at the Couri Center.
I went to see Dr Couri knowing my PCP tested me and I was post menopause due to surgery. BHRT pellets have given me my life back. I no longer feel constantly stiff and achy, my libido is out the roof and sex is no longer painful. Also, my energy has increased and I don’t cry everyday anymore! The whole staff is so nice and I will be staying with them forever from now on since my OB/GYN retired.
Dr. Couri is a true champion of women’s health. Throughout my HRT experience at the Couri Center I have not only felt completely confident that I am getting the most expert care possible, but also that I am cared for as an individual. This therapy is simply life changing and I am able to feel like myself because of it. As I personally had a need at an early age, I am incredibly thankful to have such a wonderful Dr. and Center to go to for many years to come.
Everyone has been very helpful and patient. They explain things well and takes time for all questions! I am very thankful I was referring to Couri Center!
Prompt and professional care. I have noticed a huge boost in energy and mental clarity with hormone pellet therapy. Highly recommend Dr. Couri at the Couri Center. She is the best, very thorough & informative.
Ive been a patient at other offices throughout the years, but since I came to this office, I feel listened to and that they care about me as a patient and giving me the best help. I would recommend to anybody seeking OB/GYN care!
Looks like that when women are trying to express their concerns out here they are bullied and shot down by Cheryl Neumann, Marketing Director saying that Couri center is the top rated for x amount of years.. bla bla bla... So Im sure there are lots of people that dont talk about their experience for fear of conflict. And the ineloquent way in which this has all been handled.. whew.Im not gunna air my dirty laundry here but I will say for those reading this.. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. Save yourself the time and trouble. Look at how much work they are doing to make themselves look good out here. Now ask yourself.. why?Dont stop looking until you find someone that will treat you like the queen that you are. But this place? It isnt it.
The Couri Center is a great place for my care. The whole office is very kind and courteous and make me feel very comfortable. Dr. Couri listens to me and addresses any concerns I might have.
Love, love, love!Dr Michelle Couri and her team are amazing! Hormone Replacement Therapy has been a game changer for me…(& my husband😉)I only wish I got started sooner! ❤️
I always receive excellent care at this office. I’ve been seeing Dr. Couri and her staff for 21 years. The staff is caring and pleasant.
Everyone there is kind and friendly, and very respectful of my time. Dr. Mouro is amazing! didn’t feel rushed, and he asked more than once if I had any questions and then took the time needed to answer my questions. He provided me with multiple options and gave me literature to read so I could make a decision that is best for me. The office is clean, organized and seems to operate smoothly. I am very impressed with the COURI Center.
Dr. Couri and her staff are extremely professional, kind, caring, and most importantly for this busy mom and teacher, fast! Getting pellets done every four months isn’t fun, by any means, but The Couri Center makes it bearable.
I feel so much better since I began hormone replacement Pellet therapy. I have noticed, weigh loss, more energy and just plain happier. I have all my family getting pellets now too. If youve thought about it, DO IT. Game changer!!! I need to also mention Couris staff. From front desk, nurses, lab techs, P.A.s...ALL SO KIND. They truly care and listen. Very grateful for that.
Love the Couri center. Friendly & helpful staff from the minute you walk thru the door. From the sauna service to the hormone treatment, everything has me feeling so much better!!
I receive the hormone replacement therapy on a regular basis. It not only helps with the hot flashes but also clears and calms my thinking. I highly recommend if you are struggling with menopause!
I had my first visit today with Dr. Cameron Mouro. I have had terrible bleeding for two years and have been to two different gynecologists. The first one talked down to me and refused me to try medicine and insisted on operating. The second, a woman, was very kind but her office is very busy and disorganized. I had to do a lot of follow up on my own that I should have had to do. I had an endometrial ablation on 10.12.23 that failed and was sent to Dr. Mouro for hysterectomy consult. I learned a big lesson today. I had built up prejudices against men who chose to be in this field, thinking that they couldnt know about a womans body as a woman Dr. could. Boy was I wrong. Dr. Mouro spent more time with me than the two previous Drs. have. He listened, looked me in the eye, let me talk, answered all of my questions and respected my wishes for what I wanted with my body. He was very empathetic and I forgot when I was in there that I was talking to a male Dr. If you are a woman reading this and not sure about seeing a male gynecologist and have reservations like I had; all I can say is that I wish I had gone to Dr. Mouro in the first place. I could have saved a lot of tears.
This office is amazing. The front desk remembers who you are and are always kind and understanding. Dr. Couri is always on time and spends as much time with you as necessary. The nurses are friendly and knowledgeable. I have recommended numerous patients to this practice and will continue to do so. I cant say enough great things about Couri Center! If you are looking for a staff and doctors who care, please check them out!
I am so glade that they are so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They all know what they are doing where you and your leaves need to be and will get you back on track.
I’ve been a long-time happy patient at the Couri Center, but I am ESPECIALLY grateful for the timely attention I received when I walked in for what I perceived to be an urgent matter today. Thanks to their kind, calm, and quick attention, I received the care I needed to prevent a bigger health concern. Thank you to Renee and the entire team for making me feel comfortable and reassuring me that I made the right decision to come in. This team is incredibly knowledgeable and ALWAYS takes the time to listen and educate every single time.
I suddenly developed chronic pelvic pain and digestive issues for over 2 years. After many doctors dismissed my concerns, I tried out the Couri Center. I first saw Dr. Ponder who was so refreshing! She actually listened to my symptoms and concerns as a whole without dismissing anything. I eventually saw Dr. Mouro for a surgery consultation who again was an awesome listener and showed great care with getting to the root cause of my issues. He performed my surgery and was able to diagnose and treat my issues as best as possible. They are continuing to follow up and provide excellent care. Im so glad to be a patient of theirs!
I couldnt be happier with the care Ive received at the Couri Center. They are very friendly, respectful and have a full compliment of care services for women of all ages and stages.
Have been going here for years. Hope Placher is top notch in womens issues especially as you age. I have been receiving the bio-identical hormone pellets for several years and they are truly life changing. Do yourself a favor and have your hormone levels checked.
Ive had such a good experience here. The staff are so nice, the office is beautiful. I started seeing Dr. Mouro and he immediately went to work in trying to find out why Ive been in pain for years. He didnt just push the pill on me. He listened. Fast forward a couple months later, he diagnosed and surgically removed endometriosis!! I finally have an answer. Im forever grateful.
Excellent facility! Excellent staff! I cannot recommend The Couri Center enough! I have had nothing but great visits.......every time! From the front desk to the lab. The doctor I see is Deb. She is AMAZING! She always takes her time & listens to any question, comment or concern that I may have. They even offer weight loss programs, food sensitivity testing, skin care, facials, peels, waxing ETC. The list goes on. PLUS testosterone & hormone services for men & women. If you are getting closer to menopause this is the place to go......which is how I found them. I was searching for someone who specialized in menopause.
Steer clear. No one deserves to be talked to in such an unpleasant manner, especially in a professional setting. A center for women is supposed to support and encourage women. My first and second appointment went just fine. Most of the women are very sweet and welcoming. However the last appointment I had wasn’t the same. Deborah is pretty rude all around. I had such a bad experience last time I was there that it still gets to me when I think about it. She doesn’t take the time to truly get to know you nor does she care to. Very judgmental. She seemed annoyed with me right off the bat for whatever reason. She was trying to push birth control on me. Asking me aggressively well do you want a baby then? I stated that my boyfriend and I weren’t really active during that time. None of her business really. Then she stated that my boyfriend will probably leave me if I don’t start putting out to him more then? “Well guys that age probably won’t stick around” is what she said. We were 27 and 28? Why did she assume that I was the sole reason? I started to cry because who says that to someone? While crying she had 0 sympathy while she continued my breast exam which was beyond awkward. I told her about a scary experience that I had which is what I was actually there to talk about. I thought I might have had a miscarriage or cyst rupture & I had to call the ambulance which has never happened to me before. I’ve had cysts burst before but not like this & I have a pretty high pain tolerance but somehow she said that maybe if I controlled my anxiety better ambulances wouldn’t need called? I never stopped crying after this. She told me she was going to give me some options for counseling and I said ok with tears running down my face so confused as to why she was treating me this way. She left the room, came back with the paper and that was it. When I went to leave she was whispering about me to the nurse right across the room I was in. I had a panic attack in the parking lot because I thought she was suppose to support women, not rip them down and make them feel terrible about themselves. The last thing I was expecting was to leave feeling so terrible. Overall worst experience. Honestly shocking. I couldn’t even believe that she could say those things to someone. I expressed my concerns to the Couri Center over the phone about a week later not going into too much details but trying to get them to understand that she really crossed a line. They didn’t ask details or what specifically happened. They assured me I could see someone else instead of Deborah next time. But didn’t seem to really care about what happened. Very wild. My boyfriend was just as upset as I was from this. He told me not to even go back but I said maybe it will be fine if I see someone else. So I had an appointment scheduled with Lauren for Nov but my Grandma passed so I had to cancel. They couldn’t get me in again until March 31st which is a long time but I figured that would be fine. However I decided to call again and ask if there is anyway I can get in sooner with someone else. They said no we like to keep you with the same provider which I understand. I explained that this would actually be the first time seeing Lauren anyways and she instantly said “well we don’t have anything”. Seemed kind of rude but alright I guess March 31st will work. I called again the other day asking a few questions about medical records and being after met with such a rude tone for no reason over the phone once again I decided it’s best to find somewhere else to go. I’m shocked that someone who is a marketing director tries to discredit patients. I wouldn’t put myself out here on google to make up a lie. Also yes 2021 would make nov 2022 my next app date. I called today to try and file a formal complaint and was hung up on by Cheryl. N, twice. She also changed her comment to (owner) when it’s not the owner who commented. It was Cheryl trying to protect the company instead of a patient, sadly. They should be ashamed.
I was a long time patient of Dr. Couris, and was very happy with their services and staff. That was before I went through menopause, then it all changed. I went through menopause at 48, wasnt fun but I told myself this is what happens and my body will adjust. I went in for my yearly exam and told them I thought I had gone through menopause as I had not had a period in a year and was having hot flashes, poor sleep on some nights, etc... They confirmed menopause through a transvaginal ultrasound and blood work. That is when they told me about the HRT pellets and how they were the Cadillac of HRT. At that appointment I had NO intentions of doing and sort of HRT, but I blindly followed the bill of goods that was being sold to me. I started the pellets, and did feel better, but 9 months later I started to bleed. I wasnt sure if I should stay on the pellets but at that point in my life I was very busy with my kids in travel sports and caring for my mom and just wanted the bleeding to stop. Initially they upped my progesterone. That did not work. They said they could put a mirena to stop the bleeding. I reluctantly had one put in. So now Im estrogen dominant as I have been taken off the oral progesterone. They told me the mirena was better for me than taking the oral progesterone, which doesnt make sense to me, but again I blindly followed the recommendation. My hormones were not balanced to say the least. I went on like this for two more years. Also the testosterone pellets can and I am sure did convert to estrogen also. While all of this is going on, my insurance company stopped covering the cost of the pellets, another red flag. At one of my appointments for pellet insertion, they offered genetic testing. Out of curiosity I did it. Dr. Couri wanted to see me to go over the results. I tested positive for PALB2, which increases my breast cancer risks by 30%. She never mentioned going off the pellets, but suggested I see an oncologist and possibly get on tamoxifen indefinitely while continuing to take the pellets. This made no sense to me and it was at that point that Couri Center is no different than any other conventional medical doctors. Dr. Couri wanted to me add MRIs along with my mammograms yearly. I was going to do the initial diagnostic MRI to establish a baseline, but then the Komen center didnt call the schedule the MRI for over a month. When they finally did call, the gal on the phone talked me out having it saying I should wait as I could get false positives from just having the pellets inserted recently. So I did not get the MRI and had an appointment to see a new GYN. Fast forward 4 months later I saw my new GYN, she too wanted me to get an MRI because of my gene mutation and by this point the HRT were mostly out of my system. I had just had my yearly mammogram done and all came back clear. A couple weeks later I did the MRI, thank god, as they found breast cancer. I am very blessed as the cancer was tiny and slow growing. It is reckless to say the least to blindly prescribe HRT, bioidentical or not, with not knowing any genetic defects that may increase your risk of breast cancer. Also womens methylation (MTHFR) genes are not tested for defects either, which is very very important to know how efficient your body eliminates estrogen. My hormones were not balanced, I was estrogen dominant, the testosterone pellets Im sure contributed to it, along with my PALB2 gene mutation and having double MTHFR gene mutation. Be an advocate for your own health, because doctors are not.
The staff here is always so friendly! I appreciate how kind the front desk is when you arrive and also when you call to change an appointment. Dr. Mouro and his nurse spend a lot of time with you in the office and make sure that all your concerns are heard.
Ive been with them since I was 16 years old. Delivered 2 of my babies and saved my life during 1. This entire group is an amazing group.I highly recommend them.I have such bad anxiety and they are so comforting.
This place should be ashamed to call themselves a womens health center. I came in here with some concerning issues the APN, Lauren, walked in and asked how I was and then went straight to saying Im not concerned about it at all and that I should change my diet. Thats literally one of the first things she said to me after she came into the room and greeted me. Literally didnt bother to ask a single thing about my symptoms OR my diet. She went in there with one thing in her head believing she was absolutely right and didnt even bother to listen to my concerns. I told her Im in so much pain that I cant sleep at night and she told me You shouldnt feel tired. Youre too young for that. Excuse me? I have every right to feel tired at any age, especially if Im in excruciating pain that I am not able to sleep. I left crying and disheartened. My symptoms have left me in so much pain, exhausted, and hard to do daily life things. I will not be coming back here and will do my best to steer people away from this disrespectful place.
Beautiful facility, no long waits, helpful and knowledgeable staff, in and out quickly.
Dr Mouro is amazing. I have never felt so heard and validated. He listens and offers real solutions. I could not be happier I made the switch.
Went to the Couri Center for the first time today. The building was beautiful, and immaculate! The staff was very friendly, and I LOVED Dr. Mouro! I would recommend it to anyone!
I went to this place gynecology reason and had a great experience with them. Visits like this can feel intimidating but, everyone plus the nurse and Dr. Renee Percell made it comfortable. I was in and out in no time.
After my gyno of 25+ years retired, I had to find a new provider. After about 4 visits here, I wish I would have switched sooner.Top notch service from front desk to sonographer to physicians!
