I went there while on vacation. Everyone was very friendly. It was very quick. The nurse practitioner was thorough and compassionate.
I have been to this location several times. Sometimes great sometimes not. Last couple times it has improved. They do get you in fast.
Unfortunately we have had 2 sick children for over 6 weeks now. We made 2 visits to this clinic one month apart and each time were told that its virus season and that it would self resolve any day now. My wife made an appointment with a pediatrician who pretty quickly identified a double ear infection and one with bronchiolitis. 4 days into the strong antibiotics/inhaler and it finally feels like we have our kids back. This clinic is incredibly efficient and organized, but heartbreaking to see quality of care lacking pretty substantially on both visits.
I would give this facility 6 stars if possible. Everyone was friendly, polite, and provided assistance from the moment they opened the door at 8am. When the staff member opened the door she could see I needed assistance and offered a wheelchair which I gratefully accepted. She took me right back to an exam room. I felt better almost immediately and knew I was in good hands. Ive always had great service at this facility that I have utilized for decades. When my visit concluded they escorted me to my vehicle in a a wheelchair! Im thankful that this facility continues to provide outstanding care on which everyone can rely. Thanks Unity Point Express staff!
My primarys office didnt have any openings for a while, so I made an appointment here. I received thorough and efficient care. The receptionist was busy when I arrived, so Kiera took me to a room and verified my reason for visiting and medical information, along with vitals. Deb Collins, PA asked good questions to learn more about my situation, explained what may be causing my symptoms and her plan for treating. Both were very kind. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Would definitely visit again.
I was really happy with our visit today. I had a very sick 2-year-old. They got me in and out quickly, and the staff was very friendly.... The front desk ladies were kind, and quick, knowing that I had a grumpy toddler. I appreciated that they made those in the waiting room wear face masks if they were coughing.... Many places dont follow those rules, but they told the patients to wear them to protect others and themselves. The nurses were great, and never left us in the exam room alone. We always had someone, which was appreciated. And the Physicians Assistant, Katie, came in promptly and was very good with my toddler. She was knowledgeable and friendly, and very quick (knowing that my daughter wouldnt last too long in the exam room). She even came back out to the checkout after she ordered my daughter a Rx and made sure that I understood everything.Wonderful staff. I will definitely be going back.
The one star is for Dr. Johnson who was incredibly rude and brief. He told me my issue was not urgent and asked why I didn’t go see my regular doctor. He then told me it was a coincidence that I have been having pains, pops and issues in the shoulder I fell on really hard months ago. It started popping immediately after I fell and hasn’t stopped since. I guess that’s a “coincidence”. I also called ahead before I walked-in and told them it was shoulder pain due to an old fall and the receptionist said, “yeah we can see you for that”. He dismissed me within 4 minutes. I should’ve walked out when he asked me why I didn’t see my primary care provider. Waste of time and money. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Wouldn’t even recommend him to an enemy. I have been here before and so have my children and never been treated so poorly. I used to rave about this clinic, unfortunately one bad apple has ruined it all for me.
Went a got a covid test on Thursday. Was told I would have results within 72 hours. Was told regardless of what the results were, I would have gotten a call within 72 hours. Never received a call. Called 4 days later and was told the results from the test were not back from the lab. Still didn’t get an answer from prompt care about why I didn’t receive a call back. The one I was told I would get. Regardless. Luckily I had purchased covid tests from Walgreens, found out I was positive. Glad it was someone else’s fault.
Amazing customer service. This clinic was recommended to me by a close friend and they did not disappoint. Ive only been in town for 7 weeks and when my 4 year old and 1 year old both got sick i took them here and they were seen almost immediately. The staff was very inviting, friendly and caring. I will be recommending them to other families.
Dr Johnson does NOT listen to patient whey they give a history and does NOT check patients history. He just goes based off of how quickly he can get you in and out of the office. This is the second time we have had this issue with this dr. The first time he missed the fracture in my daughters wrist and we are waiting for to have an xray at an OSF facility to see if he missed a fracture for the second time. We went in for an xray of her wrist as and they refused to do one at this location. Very disappointed in this office and their providers lack of medical professionalism. Will never be returning to this facility. I now understand why all OSF Prompt Care locations have long waits and there are virtually no wait at this clinic as people do not want to use substandard care they offer.
I never made it past Stephanie at the front desk. She maintains that I have no insurance. I had to call HR and my insurance company to prove that I am insured. The insurance company told her step-by-step what to do in order to verify my coverage, and she refused to simply call the number I provided her to talk to someone to verify it.
Used the online reservation, I was greeted at the door and walked straight to an examination room. Was in and out in under 30 minutes. The staff took great care of my almost 2 year old son without us having to be there for very long. The meds prescribed began working within 1 day.
Friendly, welcoming and professional staff. Everyone I interacted with from the front desk to the Nurse Practitioner seemed to genuinely care about why I was there. Impeccably clean space with coffee and bottled water in the waiting room. Answered all my questions very thoroughly.
Incredibly rude and short service. The receptionist made eyes at me when I helped myself to tea at the beverage station in the waiting room. When we saw the doctor and described a sinus infection, which my girlfriend gets often and knows when she has one, the doctor said it was just fluid in the ears. After spending less than two minutes she wanted us to leave with without getting anything. When my girlfriend pushed back a little she rolled her eyes and said “fine what do you want”. Literally no one is looking to abuse antibiotics. Terribly unprofessional and rude.
I went there 12/20/19 with my two small kids for a possible ear infection for my daughter. I had called her doctor earlier to ask what I should do since we have meridian and I cant go to Osf. They stated I can go to a unity pointe because my kids doctors are not Osf doctors. I was greeted by an older woman with short curly blond hair and asked her if they could help me with my insurance being meridian. She stated that since my childs doctor is at an Osf campus I would have to call her insurance and have her doctor changed to a unity point doctor. I explained what her doctor had told me. At that point the older lady began to get annoyed, sighing. The younger woman behind the counter tried to say I could go to Methodist er because they have a clinic there that should take my kids insurance. I simply asked if they are sure they would take the insurance because I didnt want to pAy out of pocket for an er visit. At this point the older woman slammed her hand on a table and said unity point is not going to pay the bill for me. I said thats not what Im asking for. She said again that this is a business and they will not foot the bill that they need to make money. I left with my two kids crying because I had no idea what to do or where to go. This entire conversation happened with me holding my daughter and barely out of the door way. I ended up at the proctor prompt care off of big hollow. They helped my daughter, took my insurance, and were so sweet.I wasnt going to write a review at first because people have bad days. So today 12/28/19 I had to take my son in for a possible ear infection. Unity point on knoxville is bout 15 minutes closer for me so I wanted to try there again. I called ahead thinking I could get this sorted out and my questions answered before I drive there. I explained my situatiin, was told again I would have to change my sons doctor, told the lady they are not Osf doctors, again told I would have to change doctors. So I told the woman on the phone last Friday I had this same situation but was able to go to proctor promptcare off big hollow using my insurance with no issues. That if they are the same company I should be able to bring my son to be seen. The woman told me to just take him back to proctor prompt, they close at 10. I said ok thanks AND she hung up the phone. So either these workers really dont know much about insurance and need more training, do not want to deal with patients, or have no customer service education. They really need training in one way or another. I truly do hope these women are given resources and more information to become better nurses. I also hope no one else is given this treatment. Going to a doctor at 7pm usually is not done for fun. Especially with small kids.
Very friendly and helpful! Weve been there twice in the past 3 days for my daughters strep throat, I got her medicine and got checked myself the second time with the same doctor, they were patient and i appreciate the availability on a Friday afternoon and Sunday morning :)
10+. Thought the personal touch of being met upon walking in and taken back to a suite was a nice touch. Andrea did a fantastic job as did Dr. Conklin on thoroughly going over the plan for meds. Even though Andrea was aiding another patient when I was discharged, she came over when I was leaving to say goodbye and well wishes. At Day #2, if this express service and attention is maintained, youve knocked it out of the park for a facility.
My girlfriend went here with obvious signs of an upper respiratory infection. They checked her for influenza type 1+2, and Covid-19. From there they basically told her to take Zertec and Flonase, both of which are over the counter allergy medications. Sent her home with no antibiotics. Didn’t check her throat or nose or anything a doctor should do when you have a sick patient. Do better! You’re supposed to be doctors, and not send people back home to get better without medications that help. I strongly recommend people go elsewhere
I have had 2 visits there recently. Both times super quick and thorough. I saw a MD there I forget the name and a PA named Tiffany. She managed a complex follow up situation and I am very satisfied.
I went in concerned about having bronchitis or pnemonia because i had been having a lot of discomfort in my chest and hard coughing. WASTE of my time. I waited in the waiting room 45 minutes to see the doctor for 5 minutes who didnt seem concerned at all. looked at my ears, throat, and lungs and said viral and that it would last about a week. I went here because i have a new insurance and they told me to go here. I wont be going back.
If you need blood drawn, try and get Dareth. She is the BEST phlebotomist Ive ever had. Sweet, funny, thoughtful, draws fast and does not leave bruises or blood bumps. Im telling you, I was very, very grateful to have this young lady draw my blood today.
I went there because it was the closest dr , I was stung in the mouth and had a severe reaction , I took my mask off and the lady said oh my god ! Then I was turned away because they didn’t accept my insurance, and I offered to pay in full for the visit . They sent me on my way . I went to Osf and they didn’t even ask me my name when they saw my face . They took me directly to a room and worried about method of payment after they treated me . I could of died and they didn’t care at unity point . If someone would like to see pictures, I have them . That receptionist should be fired
Very friendly staff . Told them I have multiple points if pain first thing was told they don’t give pain meds didn’t want pain meds wanted to know why I was hurting and they proceeded to tell me they were limited on what they could do they were only prepared to deal with colds and similar conditions not my condition of a popping and pain in wrist and knee causing pain to travel and would only look at one area of my pain so had them look at my wrist and was told inflammation prescribed anti inflammatory and told to ice and keep brace that I have Been using for 2 days and to follow up with my doctor I went there because I couldn’t get to an appointment with my doctor waste of time and money was told it would cost between $175 and $225 to be seen come on unity point been a long time patient if it’s and express shouldn’t the be equipped like an emergency room to handle more than just a common cold.
My girlfriend has pretty harsh strep throat, and we basically blew money on the doctor telling us they werent going to do anything or even prescribe her something for the pain. I mean it was a quick visit and all but its as if they wont take you seriously unless the bone is showing or something. The doctor basically told her to keep taking Amoxicillin even though its only her family members leftover pills. Very unprofessional place of business.
I was able to schedule online appointment & was greeted at door & taken to my room. The nurse & Dr were awesome & the office was very clean & welcoming. Definitely would recommend this office.
I went in due to not being able to put pressure on my foot. Dr Johnson spent a total of 2 minutes with me, and dismissed me with a bruised heel and refused xrays. I decided to go to the ER the next day because I was worried it was a more serious issue and it turns out I have a heel spur so now Im on crutches with a boot. He needs more care for his patients.
FYI... Carle Heath charges $445 for a covid test. Dont be upsold a covid test, refuse it
My usual doctors office was booked, so I called to ask a few questions, and the lady on the phone was unpleasant and made me feel like a nuisance. I get it, it’s early, but come on. I’m not exactly thrilled that I have to go to the doctor, it would help if people were a little nice
Wonderful experience. Brought 3 of my sick kids in and we were in and out in less than an hour. Great customer service and the nurses were friendly!
These guys are in a rush to look at patients and send them to ER with no diagnosis thoroughly done. It seems like a business place created by Methodist with 0 service provided whatsoever. We would never go back to this particular clinic ever.
I would give 5 stars but i have had bad experience here in the past, just with the wait time, never with the staff. Dr. Michael Johnson is great and very thorough. Pretty clean, lots of magazines.
I have ALWAYS used unity point urgent care... Iwent to the one on War Memorial and Prospect and was told I could not be seen because the provider was done taking patient for the day at 430 PM... the lady at the desk sends me to this location... got here for severe back pain and was told I could not be seen because my primary care provider is through OSF... This is ridiculous... if I could I would give 0 stars
Perfect experience. They were very fast. Each time weve gone, its taken 15-30 minutes. In and out. The Dr and staff were great.
They got me in immediately! Great care. Super friendly staff and doctor. . Best “prompt care” I’ve ever experienced.
They were nice and clean. Just dont have toys for kids so for those of you who do have kids, bring the gear. they have table and chairs for the little people though
Everyone was very friendly and the doctor was very attentive and answered all of my questions. It was a quick visit and I would definitely go there again if I need to.
DO NOT GO HERE FOR URGENT CARE!!!! They are NOT credentialed as an urgent care clinic but will tell you they are if you call. They will bill your insurance for a new patient visit in a family practice walk-in clinic. DISHONEST, MISLEADING, and BORDERLINE FRAUDULENT.
Staff was great, quick and easy visit! I appreciated the great attitudes with patients during such a crazy time
They always get you in and out and very professional. Have even known one of the doctors to buy my friends medicine she couldnt afford.
Cari, at the front desk, was extremely helpful and understanding of very sensitive information. As well, the medical staff was very professional, very personable, and very helpful.
Excellent from reception to the nurse to the dr to the x ray tech! In and out in an hour with X-rays.
Drove an hour to get my son checked out, called and got information, they said come on in, then refused to see my son when we got there.
Best medical experience… short … thorough… kind … treated me like a person…. Thank you …
My experience was excellent everyone was awesome and I recommend this place for everyone needing care.Im sure Ill be back.🙄
This place is only capable of curing minor bandaide ouchies. They do not care about your well being at all.
Terrible they told me a flat rate 140 for stitches over the phone and at the front desk then charged me 900
Everyone from the moment we stepped into the door was so nice and I was in and out quick!!
Great people took very good care of me recommend very high thank you.
Staff treated us very well. Providers cared about helping us.
Why can I not call them
Staff is super rude
Was seen quickly and professionally
