Im sure they are fine, if you can ever get them to answer the phone. Ive been trying for a month. waited as long as an hour and 45 minutes. nope, no one EVER answers Need pump supplies ordered. nope, no one EVER answers
If you are a Type 1 diabetic, Im sure this is not the right group for you. Im sure Type 2 patients will do fine. Im a type 1 and been on insulin since 1965. Im old enough, now for Medicare, and Medicare pays for type 1 patients insulin and strips and pump supplies. However, you need to be seen by a Dr about every 3 months, to prove you are in the care of a physician. This has not happened for me, here. I ran out of of insulin, and almost out of insulin pump supplies. I called to get an appt, and was told how sorry they are, but I can not see the Dr until Jan. 20th. Thats unacceptable. I can not survive without insulin for over 10 days. The pharmacy tried to get some help from them, and was told Id have to call back to see if I could get in.I got help from my primary care physician at OSF, and the pharmacy, to get insulin. I spent an entire week getting this to happen. Sorry, but Unity Point will not be my Endocrinology Group.
