Esmeralda is the best ever. I always have trouble going anywhere else. Hospital or anywhere. But she always gets it on the first stab. Shes a pleasant young lady who knows what shes doing.At this lab all the workers are pleasant and helpful. Everything is so clean.
My blood sample was exposed to light because of incompetent careless staff here so I wasted my time and gas because people are too careless to do their medical job correctly, absolutely sooo sooooo ridiculous and they could have been more gentle once the needle was in my arm. Now I have to test again!?! Make sure that your staff is properly trained its a horrible feeling and now I have to reschedule my neurologist appointment as well. What a hassle. this is very upsetting and I was poked and my precious blood drained for absolutely no reason. Train...your...staff...correctly!!!!!😥
The tablet this company uses don’t work make sure to check in because I waited 20 mins to find out the machine wasn’t working! Then I ask the front desk lady to come out and help and she has the nerve to say I’m being rude! I guess asking for help is being rude I told her you said it was me instead of saying it’s are machine!!! I’m sorry she just walked to the back never seen her face again. Worse service ever…
UPDATE: Sonora Quest agreed to refund me for the lost test over a month ago, and I still havent received anything. I cannot believe how bad they are. Do NOT use this facility if you value your sanity.Signed up for and bought two tests. Found space in my calendar to go to the lab. Fasted. Gave blood. Got results for one test, but they lost the other(?). I didnt even know that until I called to find out why the second test was showing up as cancelled in my results. Now they want me to go through all that again to get actual results for the second test. I wont be doing that and wont be using this lab for future needs.
They earn the extra star because they offer free treatment for people referred by the Mission of Mercy free clinics around the Valley. Fantastic. This is healthcare I require, could not afford, and get to have for free. Thank you for that.But they lose out on anything else because of a lack of communication. They told me to pee in the cup, and leave it in the sample door. So I did that. Then I came out and waited for further instruction. It’s a doctor’s office, I wasn’t surprised by a wait.33 minutes elapsed before I decided to interrupt the desk to ask if I was missing something. From there, it took another 7 minutes for them to figure out what the heck I was there for, during which I had to identify myself again.And then after all that they said, “Actually we just needed a urine sample from you today. You’re free to go.”So you lost a star for every 10 minutes of my time I wasted sitting in the hallway of your office on a beautiful sunny day, watching your nurses and doctors walk by me over and over without taking time to see why I was sitting there.
No scheduled appointment. It was a walk-in. I was in and out in 20 minutes. The front desk was nice. The girl who drew my blood was awesome. Her name was Maria. Very courteous and professional. Thank you!
I walked in without an appointment at 6:40 AM and was about 10th in line. I was out by 7 AM! The front office staff was organized and courteous and Shayna did such a great job!
Got here at 7:25am with 17 people waiting in the waiting room and I was done and out the door by 7:45am after painless and curtious blood draw.
Had an appointment. Checked in 15 min prior. Wasn’t seen until an hour after scheduled appointment time because someone “ready’” me by accident. And so I just watched people come in after me and leave before me for over an hour. No one was responsible but one lady was sorry.
I had an appointment at 8:15. Got there at 8:10 signed in. Was taken back at 8:14 and gone by 8:20.
Took my 9 year old here to have blood drawn for the first time. The MA, Whitney went above and beyond to make my son comfortable and he had a great experience because of her!
Went in this morning with my paperwork for Biometrics, printed on their paperwork, and they wouldnt do the test.Not in the system.Hands her the paperwork from their system. Prefilled out by them before I could even make the appointment.Not in the system. Call this number.No ownership, not a single person could do more than look at me with a blank expression on their face. I just left. Ill make another appointment.You know their service and attitudes suck when they have a sign in the lobby to remind people that it could be a felony for assaulting a healthcare worker.Be better, Sonora Quest. Your patients and customers deserve it.
This laboratory sucks.Too bad I couldnt do -stars cause I definitely would have gave them a -5 stars!!! I made an appointment and still had to wait almost 2 hours long. After waiting 30 mins past our appointment time I asked the front desk staff how much longer they told me there was still 4 more people before me and 3 of those were walk ins who made no appointments. An appointment means nothing to these people. So basically even if you made an appointment so you would not have to wait they allow the walk ins to go before you because they decided not to make an appointment and because they have been waiting for so long. I will never return back to this one and I would not recommend anyone to come to this one at all weather you make a appointment or not!!
Did a walk-in for lab draw on Monday. You fill out your info on a tablet, then front desk called you up to get the doctors orders and IDs. Wait time was roughly 30-45 minutes to see the lab technician. Lab draw was about 5-10 minutes. Everyone was nice and efficient.
Dont come on a Saturday. There has got to be a better way than this. Have an appointment and thought it would be a good idea to come in about 30min early. NOPE. Lots of people waiting outside too. Maybe more weekend locations would help, but that might cut into profit margins. American healthcare thats worse than the MVD.
This was my 1st time going to this location and i am over all satisfied with entire experience. The lady that did my labs name was Karen and would recommend asking for her.. not only does she know what she is doing but made me less stressed out then wham !bam! thank u maam! She was done😁
The tech that took my blood was pleasant and friendly and very knowledgeable.
I will not be returning. I got really nervous, which is no one’s fault, but the way staff handled it was horrible. The staff member didn’t introduce herself and all she asked was what arm I wanted poked. I explained that I was light headed and the staff member asked me if I wanted the needle to be taken out as I was becoming unconscious. Thankfully my boyfriend was there to catch me and tend to me as the staff member continued to finish the blood and place the tubes in the centrifuge. My boyfriend ended up tending to my reaction as i threw up in the trash can he grabbed. She verified my name and birthdate with my boyfriend while I was passing out and she later just walked out. I was offered nothing and walked out completely pale. Good with the needle but horrible with patient care. :( I would hate to see this happen to someone that didn’t have anyone else with them.
Employees are nice but this place is so disorganized. waited for over an hour after my appointment time
I had a walk-in appointment here. I was in and out in like 10 minutes and the staff was so helpful. I tend to almost pass out and the Phlebotomy technician was super good, talked to me while she was drawing. Really appreciate them making a stressful situation as good as it could be!
I was significantly early for my appointment so they made me a walk in. I only waited about 15 minutes before I was called back. The medical assistant was extremely proficient and was able to do my blood draw quickly and with only one insertion. Overall I was very pleased with the service I received.
This place is a total joke. Have a 9:15 appointment and its 10:15 and still have 4 people in front of her. Whats the point of making appointments if they take all the walk ins first
My first experience was bad atleast for me since i’m sensitive and hate needles. i got lightheaded and sweaty within 3 minutes of it and she took good care of me, laid me down, gave me cold towels to cool off and gave me water :)Today i came in and they laid me down on the bed and took my blood and gave me a conversation to talk about. it really helped to calm me down.the staff here are amazing, very friendly and kind. i’m glad to choose them throughout my pregnancy.
Whatever tape they used stuck to my skin like glue and left me terribly bruised. Wait time and the people were fine, however.
This place is a joke. Had an appointment at 11. Came in at 10 trying to get in early. Gave them my drs orders. Was told water was fine while I waited. I had a breath test that needed to be done and I shouldnt have drank water as I was told by the tech. Was informed I would have to wait another hr to test. They didnt put me in as an appointment so I was seen as a walk in since I was told there was an hour long wait. The tech and good but the front office staff is a joke. I called 3 time during the week and they still couldnt get my orders right so had to bring them. Never coming to this location again. The manager up front spoke rudely to everyone she had to talk to for no reason. When I called them out of their mishandling my appointment just oh so sorry. If you wanna come back... no there is no coming back to deal with more incompetence. Their whole front office staff needs to be replaced.
Front desk staff very rude. Went back to do my glucose test and the lady that did it was just as rude as the front desk staff. I just don’t understand why ppl take on jobs they don’t like. I was reading the reviews and saw that someone said they talk about the clients right there in front of everyone and it’s true I was sitting there and could hear them talking about a clients hygiene. It just surprises me that you can work somewhere that people are getting tested for different things, some people come in there with anxiety or scared because of test they may be taking. You think they would be kinder because you never know what someone may be going through that comes in. Nope they all just acted annoyed and like you did something rude to them the second you walk in. I’m still currently here and can’t wait to leave most uncomfortable feeling having to be here surrounded by a staff that make you feel so unwelcome.
I had a very good blood draw today by Angie. I am a very hard stick, my veins are deep, small, and they move out of the way if not hit right on. I always share my knowledge of how to find my best vein to draw from but most technicians and nurses do not listen to me, they know better and I usually get poked numerous times with little success. Today I was called in right at my appointment time and Angie at first had little luck finding a vein. She went for a butterfly needle and came back and followed my recommendations and hit it first stick and it pumped great for her. I am really leery of blood draws, but Angie was a rock star.
I didn’t think I could find more abrupt front office staff than I did at the 53rd Ave and Thunderbird office, but I stand corrected. I was snapped at by the front office girl that checked me in as she told me one thing then rudely told me to go sit down. I have more blood tests with my cancer treatment but I surely won’t be coming here. I haven’t met the tech yet - but front staff is so rude it won’t matter how nice the tech is. There are other places that can be nice!
Very poor hospitality, female black African American, came up because they asked me to fill out a paper work, soon as I was done lady told me, word to word, you could go ahead and put that pin back on the dirty cup where all the other pins are at, and reply so are you saying are we all here dirty who touch it, and she replies yes thats what you guys are. Whitney was her name, very rude and incompetent. I dont know if she is having a bad day but if she is, she shouldnt be at work talking like this to the patients waiting to do blood work.
My husband went in to get his blood drawn you all took 9 vials of blood from him, 9!! Then you canceled his tests and said he refused to have his blood drawn??? Why else would he take time from work to go there?!!?? Outrageous and unacceptable. You had to have mislabeled hood specimen or mixed them up either way you all are negligent!!!
HORRIBLE FRONT DESK WOMEN! i came yesterday for 3 hr glucose test and i was too late and they needed my labs faxed over so they gave me a sticky note with a fax number and told me to come back tomorrow. well i came back the next day and she was asking for a paper of my labs the front desk lady so happened to give me.. WHICH SHE NEVER DID! she was going back and forth with me on how she “remembers giving me a paper.” no she didnt … all she gave me was a sticky note with a fax number.. can’t believe someone working at a place like this is trying to gas light me, saying she remembers doing something for me that she NEVER did… she was very rude and giving me a difficult time and instead of being polite trying to figure out the situation she just wanted to gas light me about the situation… no wonder this place has horrible reviews! i aint ever in my life. very rude and unprofessional… if i could give this place 0 stars i would ! i wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody. i’m just here to get my glucose test done because i have to, best believe i’ll never ever be back here. i hardly leave reviews for any place but this place was so unbelievably horrible i had to .
Posted by Shirley boren, this is the worst laboratory Ive encountered. This one on camelback 20th Ave was so defensive, unqualified for the medical field. Girl at front desk was rude and a smart pants. Tried to get just one special blood test completed, after 3 weeks of waiting to get this done, still has not been accomplished. The corporate office has not returned any calls to me or my doctor. No big deal for the staff there, but its a matter of life and death. Its not just covid,patients who die. I will take my next step now to resolve this issue.
Appointments for standard laboratory testing is allowed, for instance blood draws. It is a good idea to schedule, please be advised even with an appointment, your probably not going to be seen on time. Some of the staff are caring/personable. The majority are not, however. This location needs to do better, since it is in a part of Phoenix that is centeralized.
I had a great experience at this location. Everybody I interacted with was helpful and polite. I walked in without an appointment and was helped in less than 30 minutes. I will definitely be returning if I need more testing in the future.
I came in for a covid-19 test because it has been ordered to me by my healthcare provider, I am vaccinated too after all and fine, but they want it for another exam I have to go through and I thought SonoraQuest would have been a good idea. No. I showed up and tried to follow all the procedure of scanning in thr barcode and everything, it wasnt working nobody of the staff said or did anytging to help me. After ten minutes I tried to politely ask the front desk, they first ignored me then I had to ping them to get their attention. Like customers are just an inconvenience if they are too polite here? In any case it has been told me that the test was self-ordered and that would have costed 115$ even with a good Health Insurance like mine. No thank you. Next time I will not waste my time with SonoraQuest on 19th& Camelback in particular.
I had the worst experience here yesterday with IRMA at the front desk. The rudest customer service I’ve ever gotten . I go in and walk up to check in only to be greeted my this young lady and her stank attitude. When I approached she asked me if I had a question I said no I’m here to sign in . With the same attitude She proceeded to tell me to sit down and that my name will be called . On my way to sit I was questioning how she was going to call me if she didn’t even know my name. Anyway as I’m sitting I look around and notice the sign in machine that the young lady forgot to mention. I got up to ask for her name cuz at this point it was clear that she was just not going to inform me of the proper protocol for getting the bloodwork done. She’s tells me her name THEN tells me where I have to sign in. I tell her thank you and walk out with out the blood work done . I hope that in a few years there’s more of these machines that can take over the super busy and “tough” work these ladies do at the front desk do because if they’re not there to be helpful or to be greeting with a smile then we certainly don’t need these kind of people being receptionist anywhere.
Ricardo, one of the front desk receptionists, is very rude and disrespectful. He complained about the phone calls and about the training he was doing. Someone came in and said they had forgotten their mask, he just pointed to the corner of the counter, didn’t even say there are some over there or anything. If you are that unhappy about the job choice you made, go find another one.
I was a first timer at Sonora Quest today, Camelback and 19th Ave. The front office was fabulous and professional. The Phlebotomist was great and friendly. This location is pretty close to my office and I will go there again. Very pleased with my experience.
Very disappointed in this location. I scheduled a Saturday appointment for my son and when I got there, waited in li e for 30 minutes. Advised the ladies at the front about my appointment. Mind you, I have email co cor.ation that we are scheduled. The rude girls at the front said I was not on the schedule and rolled her eyes at me. Then started talking amongst each other about how they did t take appointme ts on Saturdays and they were not aware....... We check your website a d be aware.Let me point out that I do not feel entitled because I have an appointment t and the other r0 peoe did t but learn some customer service. The worst Sonoraquest the front office is rude as hell like if you hate your job just quit. People need these services we need kind considerate people! Making an appointment is useless. I got here 15 mins before my appointment time and then had to wait 30 mins after my scheduled appointment time to be called to the front desk after checking in. The from desk staff was unorganized and was misinformed on several things and unable to explain others.
If you can go during the weekday when others are at work, itll save you a lot of time. I was in and out in fewer than ten minutes. They were fast, friendly, and only had to stab me one time... which was nice.
This place was extremely busy when I went, but they treated me well and processed me fast. Their web site is VERY convenient for setting up appointments and I was in within a couple minutes of my scheduled time (which didnt make all the walk-ins who had been waiting much longer very happy.) Technician took care of me well and I was out of there fast.
The staff is always so rude. so monotone. hardly look up at you and the wait time is usually 20-30 minutes for drop off only. the employees talk to each other while they should be moving things along. I hate coming here but this is who my pediatrician uses.

Hell NO! This place looked like a refugee camp clinic in a third world country! At least 100 people in the waiting room, well over occupancy. The walls looked dirty, the floor looked dirty, the corners of baseboard and counters had black dirt. Little dirty barefooted children everywhere half dressed! The overflow patients were all sitting in the hallways of the medical building and even outside on the cement! I didnt bother waiting in the line of 30 additional people to sign in. I made the 40 minute drive to scottsdale.
Bud was amazing! He was able to draw blood from my nana without hurting her. She is 83 years old and most Phlebotomists always bruised her up. Bud was quick and careful. I love the facility it was quick, clean, and very friendly.
This place is very disorganised. I checked in and then their network got reset. I kept waiting only to find out I had to check in again after 20 minutes wait. I am waiting again for over 30 minutes and no one has called me yet. The service is very slow. I came here at 6 45 am. Imagine what this place will be like during busy hours. It is not not the right place to get the lab tests done.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would!! This is the worst location and I will not be returning here. My daughter is a type 1 diabetic that’s fasting. We’ve been here since 8:30am and was told it’s a 45 minutes wait. It’s now 10:14am and we are still here waiting!! My opinion, go to a different location or a different company all together DO NOT waste your time coming here!!!!
The tech only used one glove The tech only used one glove So she was handling the blood viles and putting gauze with bare hands and her acrylics were visibly soiled and she forgot to pull the tourniquet. Very unsanitary.
When you take the time to go online and make the appointment. They have never helped slow me up and never made me wait, it is a very clean environment and office. staff were always very friendly and very good at their job, and I dont like needles but theyre so good at it I never know its done 🤙.

Zero stars if I could! The worst customer service, unfriendly staff and to top it all they lost my blood work. Then told me I was never there? So I must be imagining taking work off to go get my blood work done, right? RIDICULOUS!!!
Went in today for glucose blood draw which takes an hour...the front desk workers were so rude in taking in the names of clients then while sitting there over heard both them talking about them taking chairs from waiting area because customers were not respecting the distancing requirements which is understandable but I had been there for almost an hour and the chairs were placed that way since i went inside...if they see people not respecting the distancing they should tell them not to move chairs not be talking about the clients who have just arrived and the chairs were already there...seemed very unprofessional....the girl who drew my blood was very polite and did great work tho thats why i gave a 3 stars if it wasnt for her I would have put 1 star.

I went there over a week ago to get a tb test for work. They said they only took blood for that. So they took blood from me. I still havent got my results. Whats up
