If you can avoid this place, do it at all costs. The experience here is consistently terrible. First, the smell in the waiting room is overwhelming—every time I’ve visited, it reeks of smoke. It’s hard to believe a medical facility would allow this. The front desk staff are absolutely miserable. If they hate their jobs this much, they should just quit. I’ve witnessed them watching elderly patients struggle with the kiosk check-in and not offering any assistance. I’ve been here at least a dozen times, and it’s always the same. They don’t acknowledge you when you walk in, and they do nothing to manage the growing line of people at the door and kiosk. The check-in process is a joke. You check in on an iPad, then sit down for 20 minutes—well past your appointment time—before they finally call you up to check your insurance and paperwork. Why isn’t my insurance on file after a dozen visits? It’s ridiculous. One particular staff member, the lady with braids, is by far the worst. She makes eye contact with you but says nothing, offering no help or guidance. The entire staff just seems miserable, and it really affects the atmosphere and service. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. the service was fast. The person who dragged my blood was gentle and patient. I think her name was Donna (black hair with glasses). I was in and out no worries. Thank you for your service.
I have to get my blood drawn regularly and have NEVER been this bruised before. I’m a bit squeamish and have passed out in offices when getting blood drawn and even during those visits I was never this bruised. It might be due to my squeamishness but I can’t even look down at my own arm right now. This is from this morning so I hope it heals fast…
I have had the misfortune of having to stop in at this location no less than three times in the past week to help out my son. First time was to pick up specimen containers. Their front desk is no longer staffed. We stood there for about 10-15 minutes, watching staff come in and out of the front desk area, none acknowledging that my son and I were there. Finally, someone took pity on us and asked what we needed. She took the lab orders and provided the containers. I asked about wait times and she said just schedule an appointment and you can walk right in at your appointment time. The time we were there. there were probably 25 people in the waiting room. I thanked her and said we would make an appointment and bring back the specimens at the same time as the blood draw. Flash forward to the following week. We arrived approximately 10 minutes ahead of my sons scheduled appointment and again nobody at the front desk. We had time sensitive samples with us including one that needed to be refrigerated. Finally somone said that we need to check in at the kiosk if you have an appointment. I mentioned that the time sensitivity of the specimens we had with us and she said you still need to check in. There are no signs or any information that tells customers to go first to the kiosk. But I thanked her and went and checked in my son. Forty-five minutes after the appointment time, my son was finally called back. It took another 15 to 20 minutes for them to collect the samples and try to organize the lab orders. Still, not a problem and when it was time to do the draw another 15 minutes had passed. But the technician was super patient and very, very nice. However, my son decided he was having none of it and we had to leave. Meanwhile, tge technician said that the first person hadnt sen enough specimen containers and that my son would have to return again! I returned the next day with the container and waited 15 minutes in line because it was just a drop off and I had seen several people walk in and do drop offs the day before without checking in. When it was my turn at the desk, she says, oh, you need to start over at the end of the line and check in. This location is so poorly organized and so poorly run. If there were any other options anywhere within a 10 mile radius I would never go to this place. Despite the lovely technician, the complete lack of customer service in every other regard makes it a horrible experience for anybody. In a related matter, when I had my annual blood panel done in June of 2023, this Sonora Quest lost the samples and I had to return to the lab to redo all the tests because they had messed up. They apologized but that still didnt make up for the fact that I had to make two trips to the lab and wait a very long time each time to have the lab work completed. It looks like things have went downhill even further in the past year. If you have any other options for your labs, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Unfortunately, there arent a lot of options in this particular area of Phoenix.
I really hope a member of management sees this… everyone who comes here is either a number, a body, or just a thing. That is how they treat you here. I came in and walked up to the counter. I felt ignored. …More than three reps walked past me. They would call out names. One time, a black girl called out a name, opened the door for a patient to walk in. I asked if anyone was “available to help me”… she never faced me -walking away in a very soft- rude tone said “no” and continued to walk her way. That really irritated me, but I couldn’t do or say anything. Helpless I waited until a matured age lady in their “lab room” saw and approached me to take a payment. NOTE**If anyone works with people, that anyone should understand and expect so much IS REQUIRED when dealing with people; otherwise, it is not their job so QUIT -AND DO NOT TAKE ANY POSITION THAT DEALS WITH PEOPLE. What a terrible treatment and experience here. I prefer never to come to this place again.
Im not sure their processes could be any worse. I made an appointment 2 weeks ago, showed up 30 min prior to a full lobby and no one at the front desk. At my appointment time I waited at the front desk for someone to appear, asked if they were running behind since no one had checked me in yet, and was told I had 4 appointments ahead of me. They were about an hour behind, so I had to cancel. Why didnt anyone make an announcement instead of let us sit there and wonder? We have lives; we cant sit there for hours.I made an appointment today, showed up 45 minutes prior hoping to be in their queue early. At my appointment time I was called back to a room and formally checked in. I had orders from 2 different doctors, and she couldnt find the 2nd order. My doctor sent it 4 days ago. She told me I could have my drs office fax it. She told me I would have to go sit in the lobby while we waited for the fax to come through. I told her I would have to leave since I had another appointment to get to. I asked if there was a phone number I could call to make sure my lab order came in; she said no. I then asked, So we have to wait until our appointment time to find out if our orders are in the system? She said yes. She didnt seem to understand why this is so unacceptable. And Im pretty sure the problem is on Sonora Quests end; my dr sent the orders.I am now looking at a 3rd time to try and get my labs done. After todays failed attempt, my doctor emailed my labs to me, meaning I and my dr have to jump through hoops to just get these labs done. And I most likely have to reschedule my dr appointment to make sure Quest gets the results to him. This place has zero respect for their patients time. They run like an inefficient government office. Im hoping to find a place other than Sonora Quest to get my labs, but that requires my other doctor to send me lab orders. Im not sure Sonora Quest could make a more miserable and inefficient process.
I waited over an hour to be turned away due to an insurance issue, however if employees were present at the front desk it could of saved me time. KIOSKS are not humans you still need one or two employees at the front desk to answer patients questions.
Our 13 month old son needed to have some labs drawn and I was dreading it because of all the not so great reviews on all of the locations in the valley. We went with this location because it is closest to the house and also had the best reviews. After our visit, I don’t get any of the bad reviews except for not answering the phones, only because no one ever answered when I tried calling each time. The staff was friendly enough. I believe that if met with rude people, the front desk ladies would just reciprocate with the same attitude, but I was nice to them so I had no issues at all. We arrived almost 10 minutes before our appt time because I know they usually have to take care of insurance stuff and make sure they have the correct order for what is being tested. We were finished with everything and leaving 3 minutes after the appointment time so they were also pretty quick. Our phlebotomist was Anna and let me tell you…she is an absolute ROCKSTAR! She was kind, super friendly, and efficient. She only had to poke our son once, didn’t bust his vein, and was done in 30 seconds. She was so awesome that I’ll go here from now on and ask that she draws mine too!
Not sure of the young woman’s name but she was extremely rude. My appointment was at 2:00pm, it’s now 3:06 and I’m just being called back. Why have appointments if you’re not going to honor the time? Not sure if this is a staffing issue or not, but it’s extremely unprofessional. I understand some labs may take longer than others, but if someone has an appointment, that should be honored. I’ll be sure not to come back to this location.
The wait is long but that’s understandable, what I do not understand is the attitudes of the front office staff. It’s not okay to be rude to people who are obviously there because they may not be feeling well, The day was just starting out it was only 8am so I can only imagine how patients are treated 8hrs into the shift . Do better Sonora Quest, I will never go back to this location again.
Unprofessional. UNKnowledgeable. Front desk said “ I dont know, go to the ER? I don’t know”.I had already called prior to booking appointment to confirm they performed labs I need. And they ensured they do. I’m just shocked at the “ I don’t know”. Girl you betta ask somebody how did you get this job ? Never returning tho first and last time. 👎👎
Made same day appointment online. Immediately upon arrival Jose offered to assist me and he verified insurance. Had a seat for three minutes and Jose called me back for the blood work. As a receptionist and phlebotomist, Jose was extremely professional at both.
Arrived about 15 mins before opening because did not have an appointment. A lady came out because there were about 8 people waiting. She took rack our paperwork and insurance cards. She went in and started to get us all in the system so when they opened they had us in the system. Took about 15 mins to get all the blood work drawn! Awesome process! Congratulations to the location for having customers in mind!
Don’t waist your time Going here! I’m too upset to write about my experience. I would love for management to reach out!
My advice is to stay away from this place. I went in to take my daughter on a Monday when they opened, which is at 7:30 a.m. Apparently I interrupted their staff meeting. (How was I to know?) They were rude and just staring at me as if I committed a robbery. Very unprofessional.
I scheduled an appointment via online. I walked in and checked in on the kiosk. My name was called, are you fasting? Yes or No. Provide Insurance card and Lab Order. I sit back down. I am called back. I sit down. Provide name and DOB. Jose preps my arm, I look away and next thing I know I am confirming the name and DOB on my blood tube. The fastest and painless blood drawn I have ever experienced in my life. Thank you kindly Jose.
This place was awesome got my appointment easily. Reminder texts with barcode to check in. Smooth checkin, done and walking out 9 mins after my appointment time. Kudos to lab person painless!!
The wait time is ridiculous. When you check in you are asked if you would like a text when its your turn. I signed up for it. I got a text saying it was my turn when I go in they ask for my paperwork. Then I find out I’m not actually next they just needed my paper work and now I have to wait longer. Do not plan to come here if you are on a time crunch!
I made an appointment online and I was able to get it that same day. I was running late but I still made it there two minutes before my appointment time. They didnt make a fuss about me coming in right at my appointment time. I was taken in two minutes after I arrived, as if I had been there several minutes before (10-15 minutes). It was a pleasant surprise.
Came in today for a biometric screening. Called to make sure they accept walk ins and they do. The person on the phone was very friendly. It was quick and easy to get signed in. I waited a decent amount of time before being seen. The phlebotomist was very kind and made great conversation while she drew my blood and got my height, weight, etc. Overall great experience. Try to go during times when it is not busy or make an appointment so that you get in and out faster.
With my experience today. I will not be going back. I arrived at 7:20 am waited in line to sign in. One half our later I was called up by receptionist, she ask me what I needed. I ask to get an appointment, because I notice people with appointment were seen quicker. I was told to go online to make the appointment. Then I told her Ive been waiting just to make an appointment, her response was there are people in line waiting to be help. In other words I was less valuable then the other people that arrive after me. very bad customer service!!!!! 😞
First off I have to get labs many times per year. I have pretty much experienced the good and the bad. I was hesitant to go to any Sonora Quest location because I heard a co worker talking about how rude the staff is. She hadn’t been to this location. It was super easy getting an appt. The lab is very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. I was in and out within 15 min. Sorry Lab Corp taking my veins to Sonora Quest from now on.
Everything went quickly per my usual experience here. However I have had dealt with waiting a couple of times. The staff are all very nice. I try to practice the golden rule!
I took my father for two simple lab draws . I was told I would RECEIVE my results within 48 hours. 10 days later, here we are, no results. My father and I went in person today ( 06/18/2020) to the location where the labs were drawn and I received a card to call a number that takes you SOLELY to a mailbox. They never call you back. My father signed a paper to release his results by email 4 days ago, and they never replied.I will never use this lab EVER again, no matter the location. Its been 10 days and I have never gotten the results yet. Very incompetent company.
Im here with someone getting their blood drawn. The staff seems to be friendly and the wait wasnt too bad if youve been fasting. Whats grossing me out as I sit here is the waiting that looks a bit dirty. Near a corner of a room by the windows the wall is just so dirty. On the wall behind a chair is a blood stain. I think all waiting rooms should be sanitized at night for both patients and staff. Seen some reviews of it being mixed of sickly and healthy. Thats not the problem, the problem is after the day whats let behind to linger for others to get sick. Its a blood clinic, should be more sanitary. Funny part is as Im writing this I believe they got a call from higher ups about the waiting room being dirty. So theyre walking around with attitudes complaining about it.
Very courteous and professional services. This lab has very easy appointment and will perform early if you came in early. painless quick and easy. I always do my tests here.
Showed up at 730 as a walk in because they have no 8 am appointments available ever. Informed the front desk i need to be drawn by 8 am or my specialist will not accept it and they would not listen to me. Now i have to try again another day. So so upsetting.
Had appointment set ahead of time. I was in and out quickly. The staff were all helpful and friendly. I will go back here next time I need lab work.
Arrived with appointment for routine blood test. After check in 10 mins later, I was called and was out in less than another 10 mins. Clean and efficient.
Mrs. Angelina she did a great job 👏
Make an appointment and still get considered a walk in and thrown at the back of the line. What was the point? This appointment is for my newborn and he has to sit here for an hour needlessly.
Thank you Jose. You were able to draw my blood in one try after I had been seen at 2 different labs. I am grateful to have had you draw my blood and thank you for being such an encouragement to me. Your smile is a blessing to everyone who comes to this laboratory@ 27 th ave. & Baseline.
Long wait -- over 1 hour. Small crowded room with scores of sick people, elbow to elbow. I wonder why any doctor would send a patient there. Many labs do the same thing for the same price with out the horror.
Friendly staff. Make am appt, you wont have to wait. I go there all the time. No issues since the last tech left. Quick and convenient.
I was able to schedule an appointment online for the same day. I was seen promptly after arrival, the place was clean and professional, and the staff were friendly.
Nice looking place. Been sitting for 15+ minutes after sign in and still have not even been called up yet for preliminary question. People are getting up and leaving because of the wait. Sonora needs to stay on top of this.
Friendly staff I always go as a walk in in the morning and they draw my blood asap if you dont have a appointment I recommend you go as a walk in at 7am they will help you out as soon as they done with the ppl with early appointment they do have chairs set up social distancingBuen lugar para sacar Sangre si no tiene Cita Le recomiendo llega temprano mintras Mas temprano mejor
Their waiting room is completely full. No way to socially distance here and of course there are people sitting in waiting room coughing. I left.
Had an appointment at 7:45am, checked in, was called back at 7:50am and was out at 7:55am. Made it on time to work! Great SQ experience.
Unfortunately I go there regularly for blood work, but with an online appointment I get in and out in about 10 minutes.Awesome, friendly and caring staff.
Very slow. Waited 30 minutes with an appointment. Girls just talking behind the desk and not working. Angelina was the only name I saw but it seemed like no management was on site.
They are usually fast. I only had one day where it was full but they works fast. Get an appointment and you will be in andvout
I had a fun time.
The worst of all the Sonora quest I have been to. Plan on waiting for at least 2 hrs to have your lab drawn. They get a lot of people come in but they dont have enough staff to manage the amount of people they see.
I notice a lot of the awful reviews are from several months ago. Things must e gotten better because Ive been here twice and had a decent experience.
I accidentally brought one of my husband’s lab forms - instead of communicating with me, they shredded the lab form!
Had a 1:00 appointment and wasn’t seen untill 1:45, they are ridiculous and they don’t answer their phones !! Very slow also
This place is FRIENDLY, FAST! Very clean facility! And most of all convenient 😃!
Go here all the time, always a great visit. Never packed, compared to the ones on the west side. Good customer service.
If i dont go to get my blood draw at doctors office I come to this sonora quest friendly staff Spanish and English speaking
The guy at the front desk is rude. Even with an appointment youll be waiting at least a half hour. Terrible.
Self check-in is good. Customer service is good. Location is good.
Apparently only 1 technician on staff for a waiting room holding 20 plus peppers. $15 for a 3 dollar test. Last resort only!
Professional staff and your appointments are honored on time.
Friendly place.. Too much inpatient people whining about the wait.. Maybe they should try an learn how to control their breathing lol.
Theyre allergic to answering the phones. Best to go there in person.
Fast in and out service if you schedule an appointment a head of time.
Website is broken
Thanks to the service they provided I’m really happy now.
Service is quick when you make appointments
Blood suckers all day 😁😂. Lol great service
Been here for 2 hours. Need more staff to handle patient needs.
I make appointments online and always get help right away.
Sonora Quest is clean and friendly and not to mention, the prices are way very friendly too....
Service is very poor. I waited 2 hours to be seen at this location
Great Customer Service from the front staff & the Phlebotomist!
Always the best with me... friendly and professional...
Very slow and lacked professionalism and courtesy
More than 2 hours waiting!!!
Never answer their phones!!
Fast for a walk in
Waiting 2hrs
