I must be honest: I dreaded coming to this lab to get my blood work done when my insurance changed recently. Past experiences have not been good with either my son or me. As you can see, I left a review seven years ago and have not been back, but I went there today, and it was truly impressive. Stephanie was incredible. She entered all of my insurance and identification in the system while I sat in the room with her. She was super friendly and got my vein on the first try. They have gained enough practice through the years because theyre good at their work. It was painless and straightforward, and I was impressed. It was only suitable to update the review; I guess they have gotten enough practice through the years because theyre good at what they do
I’ve been going to for years and have always had a positive experience.Today was an absolutely exceptional experience! I arrived at 5:55, and one of their team members was already assisting people outside the door. I signed in, sat down, and was called to the back at 6:10, without having an appointment!In the back, the phlebotomists name was Secillia. She noticed that my lab order required waiting until 7 AM for the draw. I told her I would wait in the lobby, and she promised to come get me at seven to ensure a quick process.True to her word, at 7 o’clock sharp, she called me back, drew my blood, and had me out the door in record time.When someone makes a promise to another and follows through exactly as stated, it greatly enhances positive experience.Great job Secillia, and thank you to the entire team for your efficiency and excellent service.
They threw away my mothers urine sample.They dont know why they threw it away.They didnt even tell me they did so I can bring in a new one.Getting a sterile catch sample on an 80 year old wheelchair bound woman with dementia is not easy and being this rude to me about THEM destroying the sample is disgusting.Ill go to labcorp for everything from now on, less lines, nicer people and THEY DONT THROW AWAY SPECIMENS FOR NO REASON!
I have had so many problems with this lab and lab site I dont even know where to begin. The front office staff is terrible. They are rude and hateful and are either poorly trained or just dont care. EVERYTIME I go they incorrectly bill our insurance. EVERYTIME. The wait times are ridiculous. They always have a hard time drawing my blood. And two of my last three blood test results were never posted. At my last appointment I walked out and had my provider draw my blood. I will not use them again. I have my next blood draw scheduled at Lab Corp suggested by my doctor because they have so many problems with Sonora Quest. I also work in a dental office and Sonora Quest has our office address assigned to primary care doctor that apparently does a lot of STD testing. They have sent us faxes of STD results for several patients that are not ours and to top it off. Three months ago they had a courier drop off a scroungy paper bag with grease spots all over and 10 STD kits thrown in. After two hours of the phone trying to get the kits back to them I had a very nasty rep tell me I could just bring them to their main office that is over 40 minutes away from me. You can probably guess what my reply was. Terrible lab. No one knows what the heck they are doing.
Had an awesome experience at this location this week! Super fast wait times, kind front desk staff and the person who drew the blood for the test was amazing (Charmaine).
Went here for a blood draw and urine test as walk-in. Wait time was a little under an hour which is why i took one star off but i was actually treated quite nicely. I made it pretty clear I was not good around needles and the nurse was very nice and comforting to my fear of needles. She did it perfectly, no bruising, no aching. I appreciate their hospitality
We scheduled an appointment for my son. Arrived and had to wait 45 minutes to be seen. This is the worst. With a scheduled appointment we had to wait 45 min. I couldnt imagine a walk-in would have to wait.
Not only was my visit high quality, but I accidentally left my $200 headphones in the office and even though I wasnt able to reach anyone by phone, even though I took a week to get back in and check, they still had them waiting for me. Maybe its not directly about their services, but it shows me the kind of integrity they operate with. Thank you!

Terrible service. No phone service at all. Web site refuses to accept any password at all. Web chat gets no answers either. Went thru the same mess in in 2023. Had to find a different place altogether. PLACES WITHOUT PHONE SERVICES ARENOT WORTH BOTHERING WITH!!!
I have been her a few times. Staff is always friendly. The wait time is a little long with out appt and even with an appt can still take time. The only rude people are the older people being nasty to the young girls at the front desk. As if getting attitude will make the wait time shorter.
Excellent service. Was seen on 3/24/22 for routine labs. No appointment - walked in, signed in on an iPad.Sat down. Saw my name listed as ~number 7 on the wait list (on a screen that is live-updated in the waiting room).Waited about 20-30 minutes, was called back and labs drawn within 5 minutes by a very friendly lab tech. Then I was out of there.It was one of the most impressive, seamless appointments I’ve been to. My results were loaded in the Sonora Quest Lab portal and send to my provider the same day.
Not to be vein…lol, Stephanie was the absolute best phlebotomist. Super kind, and knew what she was doing - my wife has a lot phlebotomy background and this was the first time she saw someone draw her blood correctly. Bloody great.1 star off because we had to wait for 2 hours.
I said hi to the girl who helped me and made a comment that they were busy and she agreed and said it was terrible! She couldn’t tell me what my blood pressure should be. She said, “ we have a sheet here let me see…it’s not here I don’t know”. She attempted to draw my blood but did it wrong and it hurt so much. I told her I get my blood drawn quarterly and it has never hurt that much. She tried to find a vein in my other arm but couldn’t so he had to call someone else, luckily this person was able to do it correctly. However, my arm still hurts and have a big mark on my arm.
April 29, 2019- My husband and I waited an hour and 45 minutes before we gave into our fasting hunger and left. The front office staff did not take the time to greet us, explain things or simply lift their head up to even acknowledge our presence. Fortunately I am in the medical field and could get through the paperwork without help but there were plenty of people who clearly needed assistance and were not offered any and when the staff was asked clear attitude and annoyance was given to the patient. As far as I could see it appeared that one lab tech was on duty and she kept going to the front desk asking questions as if she was training or new. When we arrived, there were only 3 people seated, at the end of our hour and 45 minutes that we waited almost every seat in the waiting room was taken. Now I’m not sure if anyone had appointments but it seemed there was no organized work flow and people were not called back in a first come basis. Before leaving I went to the desk to receive our insurance card back and the girl at the desk informed me in a very snotty way that we were next although our paperwork was in the middle of the rack. Initially how could there only be 3 people ahead of us and we waited for so long? What did next mean? Another hour? We took our paperwork and will never return to that location. Unfortunately due to insurance reasons we must use Sonoran Labs otherwise we would switch labs completely due to lack of care, unprofessionalism, no organization and just a complete failure of customer service.
Absolutely horribleEvery time I have went the staff have been extremely rude and careless with paperwork but today was even worse.So I go to get my blood done and the lady shoves the needle into my arm, completely missing the vain, and keeps wiggling it around to the point that I am in extreme pain. She keeps stabbing it into my arm, and now I have multiple marks on my left arm from that.After that she moves to my right arm, takes twice as much blood than was on the orderAt this point I begin to faint. Stars, muffled hearing, gagging, the whole bit. When she moves me to a different chair she has the audacity to tell me that I should have told her that I had a history of fainting or dizziness.Heres the thing: Ive had my blood taken on multiple occasions and have never fainted or even felt mildly dizzy. In fact, most times, I dont even feel tired after.And then I overhear the office lady telling her to hurry up because they need to close. Rushing a medical situation is known as basic knowledge as something you should not do.After a few minutes I get to the point where I am seeing and hearing clearly again and I ask her if its okay for me to go to work after and she quite literally shrugs.I will not have someone this inexperienced near my body ever again. I have never had anxiety when having my blood drawn but I will be panicking every time after this.
Facility very inefficient.When I arrived I was told that the computer system was down, plus wi-fi was also down, therefore I could not use the air printer feature.They told ME to call my doctors office to get a ‘hard copy’ of my lab work order faxed to them. Since my doctors office did not answer right away, I felt getting the order printed from my phone was the fastest route, since I had another medical appointment to make, which I was about 15 minutes late for. I felt it was their job to call my doctor. They had the lab order from my doctor for over a week in advance, I had an appointment with them, confirmed by email and text.I had to return to my home, print out my lab order, and return back to the facility. No apologies were made, the staff seemed to think it was funny, very entertaining.They had my address and phone number on the written lab order, but did not enter any information into the computer. They did not ask if I was fasting, marked ‘unknown’ on report.While I was waiting for my tests to be completed, I witnessed a man in blue scrubs doing nothing for 45 minutes. He was talking to the two reception area girls, laughing and socializing. Even when I had to wait for a lab tech for an additional test, he was in the hall talking and laughing.I gave it a two star rating since the phlebotomist was very efficient and personable.They might play the COVID card, but their reviews show this facility poorly run as long as a year ago.
Unfortunately, I have had to have blood tests done on a regular basis for quite a few years now. I have usually been very impressed with other Sonora Quest locations. However, this was the second time at this location that I had a terrible experience. The first time, I had an appointment and waited almost 45 minutes to get in. Today, I had an appointment but informed the front staff that my doctors office often forgets to send in the order and asked if they could check to make sure it was there before I waited too long. Well, 30 minutes after my arrival (and appointment time), they called me up to tell me there was no order! They wasted more than half an hour of my time for no good reason; not to mention that they should have called me up much sooner than that with an appointment!
Absolutely the worst customer service of any location I have been to. Treated like a bunch of cattle and not like people. Discriminatory towards elderly people or those with cognitive issues (which I am not). I watched several patients be treated horribly because they did not understand how to use the kiosk to check in. I ended up helping an elderly man due to the verbal abuse he was taking for not understanding. Absolutely disappointing and disgusting the way the girls at the front desk treat people. Brian the office manager does not listen to concerns and only makes excuses for his staff. Sorry Brian, busy or not, poor treatment should not be tolerated by your staff. Corporate office will be contacted regarding this despicable treatment.
They charged my insurance but refuse to send me or my doctor the test results. Can’t get any help. No response to emails or messages. The representatives just send me a form, which I have filled out 4 times. Today I’m told to just fill out the form again…
The reception staff is friendly. The wait time even with an appointment is about 30 - 45 extra minutes. The rap music playing in the waiting room seemed a bit inappropriate as most of the patients were well advanced in age. Personally I could not care less, but it might be something to think about. The blood tech was amazing. She was very friendly and you could not feel a thing.
SONORA QUEST keeps billing me for tests I never requested. Over $150 for one and $101 for another. They keep harassing me with non payment letters.Everyone “BEWARE” SONORA QUEST is unethical and unprofessional in their business practices!They deserve 0 stars.
I would say my real rating would be 3.5 stars but no one really checks those ratings. First of all, the phlebotomists and techs are friendly and courteous despite the craziness right now. Much appreciated that they are keeping their cool. As a warning to anyone looking here: it seems the front desk operates on first come, first served. Appointments only guarantee that you will be seen, not when. My girlfriend had an appointment scheduled for 7:30 (they open at 7:00) for a few routine tests and when she arrived there were around 15 people in the lobby. She checked in for her appointment at 7:15. She noted that almost all of the patients there prior to her arrival were seen before she was taken back for her tests at 8:45ish. I understand that there is a lot of concern for COVID at the moment and a lot of people might be in for antibody testing, but there should be a better system for accepting scheduled appointments ahead of walk-in testing. Additionally, front desk staff should not be quite so surprised if someone has a scheduled appointment and has multiple tests. I understand they take time to prepare and run, but that should also not affect priority. If management is reading this, please help train the front staff to handle the appointment times more effectively. This would also encourage better scheduling of all patients.
This place was awful. I will never return to this location. When first walked in and approached the counter, no one greeted me. Both the front desk females were very rude and had bad attitudes. The female that took my blood wasnt any better. I got very sick and she didnt do much to make me feel any better. Conclusion: A bunch of rude girls work here. Not one person showed the slightest bit of kindness. Were people too. Oh, and while I was sitting there cold and sweaty and about to pass out, the lady says I would get you some water but we dont have any... Kinda weird because I JUST DRANK WATER FROM YOUR WATER DISPENSER IN YOUR WAITING ROOM JUST A FEW YARDS AWAY. Oh, and my arm has been very sore and in pain since I got it done. I have never been this sore after a blood draw ever, nor have I ever bruised like this.

I read the reviews and was concerned. There were 9 people in front of when I got there. I had a 8:45 appointment. I got there at 8:30. I was taken back in 10 minutes. That was before my appointment time. Was done in about 5 minutes. Make an appointment. The tech Emily was great. Nice, friendly, and professional. Front staff when I walk it was great as well. Great place 5 Stars. I do not understand the bad reviews.
I had an appointment Thursday at this location. No one I can in contact with was friendly or communicative. I have never had my arm hurt or bruise after blood testing but I did after this place. I will be sure to never schedule an appointment at this location again.
This location incorrectly collected my blood samples, rendering Quest unable to test them. Now I have to take more time off work to get my blood taken again, AND push my doctor’s appointment out further, which means I can’t get my medication for far longer than I anticipated.As a bonus, the employees who work here absolutely could not care less that their incompetency has now compromised my healthcare. Will never come back to this location again, as I no longer trust them to do their job; if I had the option, I would never use Sonora Quest again, either.
Lost my sons urine sample. I called four times and left messages twice. Always nice about it. Never returned my calls. They told my sons Drs office that we didnt leave a sample. When we are 1,000% sure we did. Instead of just saying they lost it, they prefer to lie. They label it and have us place it in a little container, like 5ft from their desks. Also, I love how I try multiple times to contact them during office hours and no answer. Yet my Drs office calls and get information from them on the spot. Avoidance. So professional.
I always go to this lab. The staff is efficient and courteous. So much better than other locations.If you are a walk-in, call them and ask how bad the wait is. Sometimes it’s 10 min sometimes it’s an hour, depending on how busy they are. They always let you know and suggest to try a different time if they are too busy. I’ve been doing this and never wait for more than 15 min.
For the second time I had made an appointment for an INR, and they couldnt find the info for the standing order, even though I handed it to the lady when I got my last one three weeks ago. Lucky for me I have a copy of the standing order, because this happened last year too. I had to walk away from my INR test because someone didnt enter the standing order paperwork into their system, and have to reschedule another appointment
Im mostly a walk in because of how my doctor orders the labs but every time i come here is over an hour visit. By the time i leave theres a completly different set of people and its beyond frustrating seeing people who just walked in already being called back when ive been sitting here for an hour. I understand appointment priority, but if someones been in your waiting room for an hour youd think they would get them in soon but no.
Made an appointment online, showed up 5 min before to check in. Had to wait 45 min for the people before me that didnt have an appointment to be seen first. There is really no point in making an appointment, you still have to wait in line with the walk-ins. Giving this place 2 stars because the nurse was very nice and did an excellent job.
Lost 1/2 of lab test terrible place charged my insurance company when we went back they did reverse the charge. Did give us a kit to redo my lab. Told them to call when test were done but no one called. I could have been head for an unnecessary surgery had I not caught it. The guy at the window was excellent in helping us but I would never go back.
Ive been to several locations and have never been impressed. I tried this location for myself a few months ago and was surprised everyone was so nice. Today, I had to take my 2 and 3 year olds in for blood tests for allergies. I was so nervous, but the staff was excellent. They were calm and gentle. I highly recommend this location. Im so pleased with the way they handled my children. This is our new location for sure.
I arrived at 11:30 for a simple blood daw and signed in. I was told it was a 45-60 minute wait. I said ok I’ll go next door and get my car washed. I was back in 30 minutes. I ask the receptionist if my name was called. She said yes I need to sign in again. So I did and waited for an hour. Stay away from this place
I visited the Abrazo campus Sonora quest lab on 40th & Bell today without an appointment. I was treated with courtesy, respect, and efficiency. I cannot say enough good things about Ramsey. I believe that was the name of the person who performed my lab draw. He was very conscientious about following policy and informing me about the procedure. I am so grateful he handled my lengthy lab requisition.
I dont usually do reviews but typically bad reviews are more likely to get posted than good ones. Ive been going here for many years and have never had an unsatisfactory experience. The closest was when they were understaffed due to multiple illnesses that day. The staff had been nothing but pleasant and professional every time. The techs are always more than competent. I cannot imagine going anywhere else for my labs.
OMG I have never been to a lab we’re the girl in the front was so nasty. Her name is Christina, If you have some one who is the 1st person you talk to and is the face of the your office. They should be a people person. It was bad enough that I was late cuz I woke up to a flat tire so my morning started off not good so when I got here all I asked was if the check in pad had checked me in and she respond all nasty and looks at me and said you’re late you’ll be a walk in which I had already assumed that I would be. Sorry I had a flat tire. She calls me back up to ask for my order witch I have on my phone. Still talking nasty to me I need it printed out what doctor is it ill have to call there office to send it in. If it’s not in our system. Well how long will it take, but I have it right here. I had just gone to another lab 2 weeks ago they had no problem with the one on my phone and she still nasty well good for them. I just walk away the technician who called me back Alejandra was sweet nice professional got my stick on the first time, she apologized for Christina I told her it’s not your fault that other people are nasty and did not need to apologize for other people’s actions. If it wasn’t for Alejandra. I think I would never go back to that lab. It’s 50/50 now. Its sad how 1 person in a office can ruin it for all the hole office. Especially if I can just go to lab core or just to my doctors office to get my labs done it’s sad that Sonora Quest Labs losing out on business because of one nasty person.
I have had my labs done 5+ years at this location. I find the staff to be very courteous and professional, especially with such a large volume of patients they see in the course of a day. Make an appointment on line because if you walk-in, you will be there a long time. I would highly recommend the staff and this location anytime.

She also informed me of what to do if it happens again. Although, she guarantees it should not happen again due to informing staff.1/17/2019My mother came here yesterday for blood and 24hr speci. I came to drop it off, just to be told that they do not have any records of this speci. Yesterday I watched the front office/phlebotomist make a copy of her order sheet and scan the order in.This lady tells me, oh we never keep patients orders....WHAT?Therefore, please explain why you wont take it because of a form you already had in your present, but now she has to suffer because you guys LOST IT.I leave and go pick up another form from her doctor and come BACK to find the office is closed!! I look at my watch to find out they closed 10 minutes early.The test my mother needed was important and to be turned away over some a mistake not made by her SUCKSINSTEAD of the lady trying to fix the issue such as, suggesting we call her doctor office to see if they can fax the form again, or something. She just says oh well I cant find it in our system and I cant take the specimen without the form.Terrible service!!
Billing department at Sonora Quest is a disaster! My husband visited Sonora Quest back in February 2018. We got 2 different bills for the 1 visit and paid them both right away. Now, almost 18 months later I get billed again for the same visit, only this time the amount due is higher but again on 2 bills. Both bills have some of the same line items on them so I called about that, not even realizing that I had already paid these bills 18 months before. When I call I am told that that my insurance denied the claims multiple times and thats why they are billing this again a year plus later. I ask about the same items being on both bills and they put me on hold for a while and then come on saying that that was their mistake and my bill will be lowered. After getting off the phone, I do some digging on my end and realize I already paid these bills last year (when they were billed at a lower more realistic $). I call back to tell them that they are trying to charge me for something I already paid for and find out the bills have been altered again and I owe nothing. What a mess!! We will not be going back to Sonora Quest based on this billing experience! They need to get their act together. It also appears that they double billed my insurance which I will be reporting to them as well.
Had my blood drawn for three different tests, and they only processed one of them. The paperwork I provided clearly showed what the blood was being drawn for. Complete incompetence.
Good experience every time I have gone. Make an appointment. Check in at the kiosk. Make sure all info is correct on your lab form. Be patient with the lab results.
This is a nothing like the closed Tatum location! It was, however, efficient.
Terrible service - they keep missing tests ordered by the doctor on the request form, being uber careless. Be ready to deal with the attitude when you call to straighten out their mess.Then rookie Phlebotomist was digging in my vein turning the needle around like a mad person. Why would you hire a rookie at a hospital draw location?Then they do close their collection facility at noon w/o updating their hours on the web site at times - you need to figure this out on your own before showing up.Have a Xanax handy if you ever talk to their HIMS department for results, you will need it to calm down after the call!
Abrupt and cold front desk staff. Why can’t we, the public, be treated and greeted in a friendly, welcoming manner instead of feeling like we’re stamped with a bar code and pushed on down the assembly line? I considered changing to LabCorp esp after SQ mishandled a previous test that sent me unnecessarily to the ER, but LabCorp reviews are worse. I gave 3 stars only bec the tech who took my blood was efficient and friendly.
This place is terrible. They messed up ALL my labs & Urine collection. I now have to do all of it again. This is a waste of time, I cant believe this stuff actually happens. Even the call center rep from Sonora quest lab processing site said dont ever come to this location again. They are incompetent. They sent my blood to the lab & didnt include my slip indicating what tests need to be done. It got to the lab & they threw everything out since these morons didnt send anything with it. Complete waste of time, WHY do you think I have time to just collect my piss all the time for you to screw everything up? Disgusted. I will be writing a letter to their corporate office as well.
9/01/2022 got a full blood test done collected. (6399, 10231, 496, 7600, 809, 7444, 5463. 17306, 4420, 623)Results were ready on 9/13/2022Unfortunately, 623 (magnesium, RBC) was NOT PERFORMED. Reason listed? “Unable to report. Testing indicates that sample submitted may be an incorrect sample type (such as urine instead of serum, serum instead of plasma, or clotted citrated plasma).”Got a second order to perform the test 623 (magnesium, RBC) and it was performed on 9/21/2022. Results were ready on 9/26/2022AGAIN the test was NOT PERFORMED! Same reason “Unable to report. Testing indicates that sample submitted may be an incorrect sample type (such as urine instead of serum, serum instead of plasma, or clotted citrated plasma).”I got in contact with costumer service and they suggest “mentioning to the lab what the situation is, and ensuring they are taking a RBC sample and not a plasma sample... This should prevent any confusion on their end.” So here I go, another lab order generated for the same test 623 (magnesium, RBC)Third try on 10/06/2022 they were very surprised of the mistakes… Looks like they will get it done this time.And yes, the test showed the results. Finally! 😆😅

Not only did the staff put in my wrong birthdate, they incorrectly coded it was not medically necessary so Medicare denied my claim. I was tested for the bacteria H. pylori, been treated and I needed to know if I still had it. Test came back positive, so it was medically necessary!
Very friendly staff. Very courteous considerate and helpful if a pt had a question or needed help signing in. Was greeted with a smile, and asked how I was doing. All this and it was kind of busy. This the kind of service I have come to appreciate about the Sonora Quest corp.
North Scottsdale location was nice.. a little bit of a wait even with an appointment but the employees were very nice and gentle with the needle.. It is a medical establishment so you have to wear a mask regardless of your vaccination history like it is at every medical place so just put your masks on and stop giving the employees a hard time about it.. nobody likes to wear masks but we do it anyways so stop with the scene making behavior.. if youre nice then youll get nice back.

The Desert Ridge medical complex is so much more convenient than other locations too far away!Plus, why the heck haven’t you taken that location off your list? It’s been closed for over 2 years! Yet, all your websites list it as open with a disconnected phone number.

Always busy even if you go right when it opens, understaffed, what staff they have there is slow. Went early twice just to get a tobacco screen and basic blood screens and lines were ridiculous or service wasnt provided at opening. Dont go here unless you have all day to wait.

Unfriendly staff, rude. Person that took my blood was very rough and confrontational. Go to a different location or diffeernt company. I guess you get what you paid here and saving a few bucks does not always get you the best service, go for quality and not low priced, stressed out, mean minded people.

They are very rude we trying to make an appointment over the phone. Customer service rep being sarcastic over the phone wish I could remember her name to file a complaint. After seeing past reviews til now seem like nothing changed
They lost my lab order again (Tatum and Shea).My doctor showed me the confirmation that it was faxed on Monday the 26th. When Stephan and Debbie are not here, it is a nightmare.

This lab is busy, very busy so when you go here be patient and kind to the staff they have a high volume of clients they serve. Thank you Ranson for helping with my specimen, I made it to work on time, your a gem.
I went in with an appointment and they had all my insurance information and when I get there they say we dont accept your insurance. so as usual they commit an epic fail. Stay away from this plac .
My son and I have never had an issue here. Today I didnt have an appt and I was #10 on the board and I was done and gone in 25 min. I didnt even realize she had poked me.

Slowest place ever one have to sign on tablet then wait 5 minutes so far just to sign for drop off. Simon med imaging isn’t like this! It’s done on the spot
Worst customer service I have experience so far, someone near my came to this place yesterday for her biometric screening and didnt brought paperwork or nothing and got it done, today I showed up with paperwork, ID, and card insurance and the guy in the kiosk couldnt help me, he didnt even tried to explain why i couldnt do it, i stepped out called my employer for instructions and step back in and he started to raise his voice at me saying that there was nothing he could do (2:10 pm, 12/22)
Ive had them incorrectly label samples, and was unable to get some of the results. Very disappointed, and now I have to get more labs done. This has happened twice, once before it wasnt as important.
I made my appointment on line and they are inside Safeway, and on the bus route

Was very dissapointed today... The guy in a white uniform from a front desk was rude and unpleasant with people even with the old lady, she was trying to explain what she needs... Do not recommend this lab to anybody..(((
