It was a little daunting at first when I arrived. Everyone there was very helpful in checking my appointment, which I failed to complete. They all were very professional, listened to all I said, and made sure I was comfortable . Going to the doctor or getting blood drawn isnt easy for anyone, it is scary. They were great. God bless them and all they do. Thank you!!
This is the best one I’ve been too! This old building is super cool. I set up an appointment and got in at the time of my appointment. Everyone was so kind and it was a really fast experience. There are tons of comfy chairs to sit in as well as a kids area behind a wall to block the sound. I probably wont ever go to another one.I will say, there aren’t many signs outside saying where it is but it’s in the building closest to McDowell.
I was a walk in. Didnt have to wait very long. Everyone there was as friendly as could be! It was an enjoyable experience. Will go back to this location.
Probably the worst customer service Ive received at a medical lab. The lab satellite location at banner. they simply have a sign in sheet and no staff working the front desk. That leaves you to just wait, and wait. until the phlebotomist decides to check if someone signed in. When they eventually do come out, they cant be bothered to correctly look up your information. Forcing you to walk back over to the doctors office to get them to do it. Its ridiculous and time consuming to not have desk staff for someone with an office in the back. Get your act together.
I made an appt for first thing Monday morning. Went in and was seen within 5 mins. I let the tech know I’m not great with needles and I’d need to lay down while getting my blood drawn and they were super nice and accommodating about it. America was amazing and i was out in less than 10 mins!
Super patient staff! Front desk girls were attentive and helpful. Phlebotomists that serviced my special needs son were so incredibly kind and caring. It took 4 of us to get a blood draw from my VERY strong son. They were gentle and friendly and even though everyone broke a sweat, they were smiling the entire time. Waiting room was clean and spacious. Wait time was almost nothing compared to other labs. Thanks again!
I was just there. This is the THIRD time trying to get the same labs done, first time they said I couldn’t be seen bc I didn’t have appts despite saying they take walk ins, then the second time the computers were down and couldn’t be seen unless I had a paper order (mine was electronically sent) today they told all the people they couldn’t take any walk ins, I barely was seen, I tried to go in a little early with an appt bc of past fiascos, and the two gals and on guy were left to manage this office. The gal had said they were very short staffed due to call outs (including their team lead), and I could clearly see that the person in charge (the supervisor) had not taken any initiative to show up early to help out. Why would these three employees ever want to show up again when their own management doesn’t support them and they get treated like crud when they do show up when short staffed? I felt so sorry for the staff who actually showed up dealing with angry patients who couldn’t be seen. This smells of bad management problems… I will be switching to Labcorp.
My Visit to Senora Quest Lab on 9th St. E. McDowell, was very Smooth & Organized, Clean Beautiful Environment with Good Patient Care! The Staff were so Welcoming, Suzanne, Jasmin & my Phlebotomist treated me very Kindly & Warm! I’m Looking forward to my Next Visit! I Appreciate Your Kindness!
Sonora Quest Laboratories at926 E McDowell Rd UNIT 122, Phoenix, AZ 85006. I would give no stars but, that is the only way I can leave a review. Some of the worst costumer service I have ever experienced. The front desk receptionist was rude and not helpful to senior customers. This all took place on 4-17-2024. This includes not all but some of the technicians.Maybe the office manager should be up there at the front desk to monitor and train those employees.
They claim to do pediatrics here, but stuck my little one TWICE unsuccessfully. Do yourselves (and your kids!) a favor and go see Maria at Pedialabs in Tempe. She is very talented!
Made an appointment at 8:15, was told my labs were not in. Which was a lie because the guy at the front ended up looking in another area, as he stated, and they were found. He canceled my appointment because I walked away to call my clinic, then asked the girl to reset it. I ended up waiting an hour and 15 minutes. Now about he girl in the front, instead of apologizing for the inconvenience when i assured how much longer, she said, we have another person waiting an hour also whats the point of setting appointments!Customer service! Whats that? Because you all lack it! FYI, I arrived 15 minutes early for their convenience.
Quick in-and-out appointment. I dont like needles, but the guy drawing my blood was awesome
I almost went through a different location based on the reviews but this was more convenient. The service here was great! The young woman at the front desk was so patient and friendly. I also found out I had some unpaid invoices and the woman that notified me was so pleasant and warm. The guy in the back was a bit stern but was still professional. Glad I decided to go - was in and out very quickly.
This the most disorganized business Ive ever dealt with I have made 2 appointments that were never confirmed so I went to the one today at the McDowell location and they had no record but I could wait an hour to get in no one answers the phone or returns the calls I will tell everyone I know to not deal with this company
Don’t take your toddlers here! We came here because they advertise as specializing in pediatrics but did not have a positive experience. We had an appointment and still waited an hour to be seen to get 12 month labs drawn. Two people plus myself held my child’s arms down while a third watched. My child cried. They were not able to draw blood after fishing around in my child’s arm for five minutes and told us to come back.We went to Lab Corp instead and were in and out in 15 minutes without even having an appointment. It was only myself, my child, and the phlebotomist in the room. The phlebotomist talked to my child and was very calm and confident. My child did not cry at all for this draw.
My wife and I were both walk-ins for some annual tests. The staff was great and very kind. We arrived early and were out within an hour. Quick tip - The scanner does not work. It will make sense when you get there. :)
Told by SONORA QUEST that I could walk in and drop off my 24hr urine collection. It has to be turned in within 30min of last collection and instead of being able to drop it off, I was told to sit in full waiting room to then go in back for tons of paperwork. I work OVER 50hrs a week. I took a full day to do this collection and now it’s in the trash outside the Sonora Quest building. Terrible communication and guest service!
They were great. Nice facility was nice and and was clean.
Before my blood was drawn, the girl dropped 2 to 3 empty viles on the ground. She picked them up and put them with the other empty viles. She didn’t wash her hands. She then put gloves on, then touched the dirty vials with her gloves, poked me with a needle and then drew my blood with the dirty viles. 🤦🏻♀️ Next time I will ask her to wash her hands if I see something like that happen again. I was just exhausted from this behavior.I have had to ask nurses before to wash their hands. I once had a nurse at Banner Estrella literally clean a toilet and then try to give my mother an IV without washing her hands. And when I asked her to wash her hands before giving my mother an IV, the nurse’s response was “Oh, I changed gloves”. I had to come up with another excuse to make her wash her hands. So I told her sorry I have OCD and it just really bothers me. The tech that was in the room taking my mothers blood pressure, turned around and looked at me as if I was making an odd request. At that same hospital on the same day in ER, the nurse dropped the alcohol wipe pen on the floor. She had the nerve to pick it up and tried to wipe my mother’s arm with it before giving her an IV. I asked her to use a new one since that one fell on the floor. Her response was “But it fell facing up”. I told her yeah it’s still dirty, and now your gloves are dirty because you touched the ground while picking it. And even if your gloves didn’t touch the ground, they touched the pen that was on the ground. The nerve of some nurses! Jesus, just wash your hands! Then patients wonder how they ended up with MRSA in a hospital.
Saturday morning is walk in only. When we saw how many people were waiting, we were sure it would be hours... nope, 30 minutes. my 8 year old was very nervous about getting blood drawn. Phlebotomist, Jennifer was very patient and accommodating. 2nd time taking my daughter here and both times were good experiences. Worth the drive from the Arrowhead area. Bring your kids to this location.
Very professional and efficient staff. Easy check in at the kiosk/pad, lab orders had already been sent electronically by my physicians office. Interactions with front desk friendly, professional and prompt. Lab service provider Cyerena a superstar! I had already had labs attempted at my providers office and they were unable to successfully perform the blood draws despite multiple attempts. Cyerena got it easily on the first draw - and I have difficult veins to find. Thank yourating: check in: 10, staff 10, phlebotomist 10+
I called to schedule an appointment and confirm the price of the test I needed done. However, when I showed up they wouldnt complete it without a doctors order. Why would they make me an appointment without telling me that? I took off work for this medical appointment.
I went at 7am to drop off a sample, the staff is rude and seems bothered by the patients. I can understand having a long day but the day just started! I had to help 2 elderly patients check in at the new kiosk. One gentlemen finally asked the girl if he could make an appointment and she said she was too busy and he needed to call the appointment line. Both gentlemen were very frustrated and the receptionist could not be bothered to come out and help them. I run a pharmacy and if I had technicians like this they would have been fired. I am a medical professional and I was made to feel embarrassed about dropping off. I followed the directions on the bag and they gave different instructions while I was there. I will make it a point to use my Sonora Quest in Goodyear. It is like night and day. I wont slander your location to my patients, but I wont recommend it. Getting better service will be worth the drive.
I drive thirty minutes for Sonora quest kids. The kids area does not exist anymore. You can see where it used to be but they didn’t draw blood there. The staff was fine but not overly friendly. I did all the work keeping my kid distracted during her blood draw. Overall not worth driving that far.
This company needs to seriously improve their training for staff apparently. I dropped off a sample to be analyzed, and instead of actually taking the sample from me as they should, they walked me to the back room (where samples are stored) and had ME place the sample on the counter. The jar kept tipping over but they assured me it was fine. Get a call today saying specimen “leaked in transit” and they canceled my test. And this was after trying to submit a test one week earlier and them “forgetting” to put the date/time on the sample, resulting in another canceled test.So please avoid this company if you need reliable lab work. They’ve now wasted 2 weeks of my time and I’m never going back.
My experience was not bad was not good. I had an appointment, arrived on-time, but I waited 40 minutes; so that part was bad. A lot of other people were waiting, too; and with the social distancing, that was less than ideal. But the phlebotomist I got was cheerful and did her job with efficiency and a minimum of discomfort to me. That part was good. So, I would go back to this place again.
I came here this morning which was a Saturday from the Queen Creek/ SanTan location, after showing up by mistake a week earlier than the appointment date that was set. I made it in the line about 10mins to 10am. I waited in line for 15minutes. I was asked for my number and was told by the short wavy haired black Lady to wait in the area outside. I sat outside for about 45 minutes after seeing some people that came in after me leave, I went back inside and told the same Lady at the desk I wanted to make sure I hadnt been forgotten about. She asked my name and asked had I not received a text I told her No, I hadnt! She said I would be called next. This time I sat inside. I was asked the same thing when Claudia called me to the back about 3 minutes later. Claudia told me that she texted and called too, however my phone had been in my hands the full 45mins and I hadnt received any kind of communication from the clinic. Claudia was cute, polite, very gentle and fast. I think she was either the best or one of the best Ive had me blood taken by. So my advice to you is dont do the sitting outside thing waiting on a call or text because, that didnt work for me. While there I actually seen some of the Ladies open the door come out and call for patients, they actually put in a little extra effort, but I was forgotten about. They just kept it moving. Did she not remember that she told someone to go sit outside? Still not sure why, they did have a seat available. I didnt ask because I heard coughing and sneezing going on in the waiting area, so I happily waited in the area outside. This will be my weekend lab of choice whenever I or someone that I know needs one, however I will tell them to avoid the phone communicate it seems to be a little iffy.
First of all: they: their system was incapable of receiving an electronic fax from my Doctor since the 29th of December. As I am speaking to my Dr on the phone for the 3rd time their system still has not received the fax and another employee butts in and tells the girl not to respond to me to ignore me, when she came to work looking as though she is wearing her pajamas. And I am speaking genuinely!!! EXTREMELY IN PROFESSIONALLY SHE APPEARS TO BE IN PAJAMAS.
I cannot share the many bad reviews this location received here. I had an appointment and was called within 5 min. of that appointment time. Everyone was very friendly and the phlebotomist who took my blood was amazing! She was super nice and professional, I think this was my best blood draw ever. Super quick, didnt feel a thing. I received my test results in less than 24 hrs on the online platform. Great experience!Only tricky thing is to find it: the office is located on the 5th floor of the Edwards Medical Plaza, you can park for free in the parking garage.
I took my very anxious 10 year old to the blood lab for a draw and Vinny was extremely patient and calm. She was so respectful and encouraging to my kid. I highly recommend her. And I would ask for her.
Everyone has always been extremely helpful, friendly, and nice. Have had a lot of blood draws in my time and I go here now when I can because they have done an excellent job every time. They even accept requests for special needs. If time is a factor, use their online scheduling and it will get you right in with a pre-booked appointment.
I had a very pleasant experience at this lab this week. I like the new check in very easy and convenient. Not rocket science, just your name and birthdate.I happened to be checked in on Monday and again when I returned my specimen back today by Clarissa. Not sure how she spells her name but she was most pleasant and clearly knew her job. She was super nice both times and it helps when the people you are dealing with you act like they care.I also must say the majority of the staff were all friendly and acted like they didn’t hate to be at work. No snarling faces to deal with. Thank you!
The people behind the counter act like you are doing them a favor. I made an appointment on line and when I told the woman she didnt seem happy about it. I looked at where I signed in and I had not even been acknowledged. But she was happy to call me back up to let me know I had labs unpaid for that were in collections from 2014. I left and could not understand why I had bloodwork done since March and there was never a problem. Two days later I went to another Sonora Lab and they took my insurance card and drew my blood, no problem. So who got the last laugh?🤔
Waited over an hour with an appointment only to be told I cant be seen due to a bill from years ago that my old insurance never paid that was also sold to collections. My current insurance will cover this visit 100%. If you know you will be paid for the service then why cant you do it? Obviously there is a reason I need these tests done. I hope no one has died from being denied service for things completely out of their control. It would have been nice to know I needed to pay the old balance that I shouldnt even be responsible for, before I wasted my time here.
My 5-year-old son doesnt cry with shots. Im a nurse and we practice and prepare so hes always at ease and knows what to expect. His last annual check-up he got 5 shots without one tear. Hes had labs twice before. Just a pinch and were done! he says each time. We sat in the chair as the phlebotomist looked for a vein while my husband and I distracted and talked with him. All of the sudden he screamed and started crying. I looked over to see her WIPING AN ALCOHOL WIPE ON AN OPEN PATCH OF ECZEMA ON HIS ARM. He was terrified and grabbing his arm in pain, then firmly put both arms down behind his back so no one could touch them. We took a break to let it dry, all as we tried to remain calm and take deep breaths to try again. We explained to him it was an accident and tried to calm him while the phlebotomist stood there, becoming increasingly impatient. We tried to at least let her look again once he calmed down a bit but the damage was done, he wasnt letting anyone there near his arm. She then had the audacity to suggest restraining him. No apology for putting rubbing alcohol on an open wound (or even choosing that spot in the first place!). If she couldnt find a spot other than the AC vein with an eczema patch on it, then she should have asked for help finding a different site or clearly stated she couldnt find one today. I would have preferred this is the only place we can find but youll have to come back when this eczema has cleared. Again, as a nurse I never in a million years thought I would have to tell a medical professional dont put rubbing alcohol on an open wound and then stick a needle in there. Kids are resilient and he had stopped crying within minutes but I am furious she hurt him. Even worse: the damage from this will last forever. Every shot and doctor appointment will now be full of fear. THIS is why kids are scared of shots, the doctor, labs, etc. It only takes ONE bad experience with kids. We still need labs but we cant come back here again and no matter where we take him hell think its going to be just like this. Furthermore, you dont do this to an adult either. Unless its an emergency and you need a line, you dont start IVs or draw labs in compromised areas of skin.Let alone rub it with pure rubbing alcohol. Its like forgetting you have a paper cut and using sanitizer, but multiply it by 100. Please do not bring your children here.
This place deserves no stars. I am very disappointed that blood samples keep getting lost at this location. The staff at the front desk are very rude. There are patients in the lobby that are sick. The behavior is uncalled for. Losing samples from patients is unprofessional. Does this company care about the patients? Look people here are sick and can’t afford to have blood samples being lost over and over again.
OMG, they were GREAT! As soon as we walked in the young lady helped us check in and everyone was so professional. They had a seamless process and we were in and out in 15 minutes! Great staff!!!!
The rudest people work here. The place was packed when I went in, so fine...I understand that employees might be a little stressed. However, I politely asked how long the wait was after being ignored at the counter for several minutes (again, understandable because theyre busy), the woman told me it was an hour and a half. I stood there for a minute, trying to decide if I had time to wait and the woman behind the counter suddenly started angrily yelling that there were only two people there and they werent even going to get a lunch, and then carrying on about appointments. Mind you, all of this was completely unprovoked because I hadnt said a word to her about the wait. No excuse for yelling at people or being completely unprofessional and rude.
Not pleased with the (a) 30 to 40-minute wait even with my mother’s scheduled appointment AND (b) at the last two visits, the phlebotomist hit a nerve. I understand that small veins make for difficult blood draws, but it’s possible that even with Six Sigma certification, this place needs more and better-trained staff. Have also contacted Sonora Quest via email.
2 stars for the office staff. They could definitely be nicer to the patients during the check in process.5 stars for Alfredo, he is amazing! Quick and painless blood draw!
For me I had a good experience every time. The nurse that took my blood was awsome. Very out going and friendly. Ive seen the lady behind the desk help the elderly check in.
Easy in and out as a walk in. The entire staff was friendly, quick and welcoming. Clarissa who did my blood draw was so sweet and it was a painless process. Thank you!
I had issues with my childs medical provider sending over the orders for lab services but Moses definitely went above and beyond to obtain the orders and get my child seen as soon as feasible. I honestly would have just left and tried again later but he definitely was doing his best to accommodate us. Thank you!
Rediculous. I have a serious disease and have to get blood drawn to see certain markers about the status of my disease and low and behold they cancelled my order after the draw. Its been 2 weeks since the blood draw and I usually get the results within 1 week (with other companies) and I called my doctor and they had to investigate what happened and turns out they just cancelled my order without notifying ANYONE! My doctor and I have been in the dark for 2 weeks just waiting and they didnt even have the decency to reach out to us that it didnt work or they screwed up and did the wrong test or whatever the case was. Absolutely rediculous. This is an incredibly serious procedure that I do with my blood and this is just absolutely rediculous. I am shocked that this happened and the absolute disregard of medical professionality. I will not go here ever again. Horrible communication skills. Bunch of clueless people work here. Tempted to sue for malpractice
They did awesome with my SPD son.
Friendly staff but so slow. Even when making an appointment. I hate that my doctors office partners with Sonora. This location is pretty hard to find too. No signage outside easy to see. It’s inside a larger office park with multiple businesses.
As with all the other one stars, they have extremely slow service. I have been here twice and when I arrived no one was even at the front desk and no one even cared to sign me in until 15 min after I arrived. I had appointments both times and still went wayyy past the appointment times. Not professional and extremely slow.
Do not go here! You will waste your time with incompetent staff and disorganization
Wait time almost an hour despite having an appointment. Wasn’t very busy either. Staff is nice enough though
Took mother in law for blood draw Saturday, Monday no record of a blood draw. Ok waste of hr plus drive and hr plus wait. By the way handicap parking is only on the sides of the building, lab is in the middle.
Had a little trouble as I wasn’t in the system for a test even though I’d been emailed an appointment time and location. Staff was super friendly and helped me with my appointment.
Horrible customer service, if I could give them no stars I would. There were two women in the front desk who were absolutely rude.
The women at the front desk were rude and asked my doctor to modify her paperwork twice. Long wait as well. Do not recommend
I arrived before 5 other people that were taken in before me. It took 2 hours fora simple blood draw. Would not recommend in the future.
Cyerena was the best. She listened to me about being a hard stick and was able to get my blood drawn with no pain! I will be back for any other blood work I may need! Thanks Cyerena
The lady at the front desk who checks you in is extremely rude!!!! Seems annoyed when you ask questions. It shows that she isnt happy with her job, hopefully her manager will do all the patients a favor by replacing her. Or finding her something where she doesnt have to deal with the public.
Go to see the beautiful, historic building, not for the service. The form I presented from Quest states that the order would be accepted at all Quest Diagnostics Blood Collection Centers. However, this was not true. This Center could not provide the service.
Took my 9 year old to get some blood work today and Alfredo was our Phlebotomist he made my son comfortable explained thoroughly and one pole and done did a great job and would recommend him for anyone 10/10 times
What is it about the statement, I cant get UP onto a chair do they NOT understand!?! Geez, takes me to a table HIGHER then the chair, so I tell her AGAIN, I have a wound on my belly that is all the way across and WIDE open. She looks at me like Im on something and says again, can you get on the table....duh, NO, I need a LOW chair!
Not timely and completely incompetent. Failed to label vials after taking blood samples therefore the samples could not be used. I have to repeat the draw. This was after waiting 50 minutes past my appointment time to get in.
I have always had a good experience when I come here for my labs. Nice staff and you are in and out in less than 10 minutes IF you set an appointment first.
Got bloodwork from a guy that had been doing it for a year. He missed the vein and kept trying when it stopped drawing blood. I had a 4 bruise running the length of my arm for just under two weeks.
Getting a blood draw isnt the funnest time in the world but Im glad I discovered this lab, because every time Ive come the phlebotomists are a delight, they clearly enjoy their jobs, they make me laugh and have painless pokes!
My mom had a great experience. She receive a excellent service. She was so happy we came here.
Chose a different location. Over the phone and in person all the front desk people were extremely rude. So rude to the point where if you have one 20 minutes further you should go to the farther one.
This is a busy location, and without an appointment the wait is longer. The people with an appointment were in and out at a very reasonable pace. The staff are friendly and helpful.
In and out within 5 minutes. Front desk was great and the lady that did my test was super quick and very skilled.
Rude, that’s true. I had to wait so much more despite the appointment I had just because I didn’t have the order ready on hand. After the order was faxed I had to wait just to be “unpaused”!!! Horrible,
Okay, place. The lady that is taking my blood was great. Expect for the front lady who checks you in. Completely rude and not very nice! Wouldnt come here again!
They are the best been going here for almost 20 years. They go above and beyond. Pleasant staff.
Rude and didn’t even try to help me resolve an issue , wouldn’t talk to my insurance to help figure out a solution . Never going back !!!!
This place is so unprofessional I would not recommend. The lady in the front was rude for no reason and said they didnt even know what blood to do and its right on the order. I think they just said that because they were already closing. Choose a different location t choose a different location than here.
We came on Saturday, everything was OK, it was fast and the staff were very kind.
THIS PLACE IS WORSE THAN THE ONE IN SOUTH MOUNTAIN AT DR RICHARD WOLFSON INTERNAL MEDICINE. Im done ✅ with SONORA QUEST and Wolfs Son
Worst lab ever!!! Horrible techs that have no! Sympathy for newborns and they lost the blood samples they took and than turned around and lied saying they never took samples!
Very hard to find. It will be better to go few miles instead of looking for this location in fifth floor. I asked couple people and finally found the location after 17 minutes.
I had an appointment and still have to wait more than 30 minutes. Not sure why I bother setting one.
My appointment was at 1:45 and I am still waiting at 2:21 what is the use of appointments being necessary?
Got my 1 year olds blood draw here and it went flawlessly.
Front desk horrible!! If you are white she is so nice otherwise so arrogant!
Best customer service with the rudest people in the waiting room. Clarissa and Lena are Amazing.
The two lady’s that work up front are so rude. But we will see how this goes I’m still waiting to be seen..
The worst customer service EVER the staff is SO RUDE. They dont even deserve the 1 star given.
Always make an appointment before going here, and early in the day is better than the afternoon.
Very rude people at the front desk. Not welcoming at all
No customer service at all. They act like you’ve been here before! Never again.
Waited for over an hr. Seem very low staff. Will not go there again
INCREDIBLY well-organized! Got in and out in 30 minutes.
Do not go to this location! They do not honor appointments and are very rude!
Crossed me off while I was here waiting wasted an hour and a half, needs to step it up or be consistent on checking here and there
Liking the new location. Staff was very polite.
Horrible customer service long waiting time even with an appointment
Fast service for walk-ins.
Gray service from an efficient and friendly staff.
Alfredo is the best. Wait for him
The staff there is very helpful
Amazingly rude staff. simply amazingly rude
Quick , professional, and comfortable.
Very kind with special needs senior.
They don’t patients
Rude staff! Go somewhere else!
Great customer service
Very friendly
Very grateful for the attention, professionalism and respect of all the specialists and technicians towards their patients, especially Miss Susan, we managed to perform blood tests on my son after trying in several laboratories without success. This laboratory is highly recommended if you have small children.
This star is only for the first nurse who treated us... very professional and considerate of our 3 year old daughter. The second nurse who is the same one who points in front of you was very rude from the moment you arrived... I hope they put professional and qualified people for customer service.
You have an appointment but you wait the same with the people who came without one. The quote makes no difference. The tablet scanner does not work.
