After receiving a lot of six eggs from DEB USA, three disintegrated upon thawing. Therefore, only three were available to be injected and fertilized. All three were graded as fair by my clinic, and none appeared as if they would make it to blast. My fertility clinic encourages patients to freeze embryos on day three if there are four or less fertilized on day 3. After explaining the situation to DEB and after my clinic provided the requested information, I have yet to be offered a full or even partial replacement egg lot. I expected a better response, especially from such a reputable egg bank. Unfortunately, the service and response I received so far has been poor. Before deciding to use DEB, I would definitely do my research and ask for evidence that an egg donor is indeed proven. Also, check other egg banks because there are other good ones with proven track records. I definitely learned my lesson.
We purchased two cohorts of eggs (7 eggs per cohort) in March 2022. I fell in love with the donor and Donor Egg Bank cohorts were more affordable than the competition at that time. My partner purchased two cohorts from Fairfax and paid 5k more (granted he did get two more eggs than I did for that price). We halted delivery to our clinic and when we tried to get them shipped a few days later we encountered some hiccups, mainly miscommunication on shipping. It eventually was resolved.14 eggs were thawed and 13 survived. 9 eggs were fertilized and (2) day 5 blastocysts were PGT-A tested in July 2022. Both ended up being PGT-A normal embryos (4AA boy & 4CC girl). Donor Egg Bank promised two embryos per cohort and they fulfilled that promise! We transferred the boy first due to the quality. And here he is! Born on the day of love! 💕❤️ He is just perfect! Our dreams have come true! ✨💚
Not able to obtain refund. No response from DEB after giving eggs back. Will be pursuing legal action if refund not issued soon.*Update*Changing rating from 1* to 3*Finally got refund cheque from DEB USA.Thank you for paying us back.
When I first heard about Donor Bank USA, it was after a long road of heart break and disappointment. I was trying to conceive, but was having a lot of hormonal issues which was interfering with my plans to increase our family. I had tried conceiving naturally, then went through a long process of medications and IVF cycles, only to find that I was not able to have another baby by these means. I was prepared to give up, but my fertility specialist told me there was one more road to try.Just 4 months after my most recent failed IVF cycle, I had received donor eggs from a generous stranger, who I had the opportunity to screen for the things that were important to our family. We had a vast set of donors to choose from, and the staff were there to help us all the way. In August, I received the donor egg, and am happy to say that I am enjoying being (at the time I write this) half-way to term with my pregnancy. I never thought that I would be able to have this opportunity, and to see how healthy my little one has been so far. I am grateful for all the help and support Donor Bank USA has given us on this journey. The picture I am posting with this review was my last scan (at 12 weeks). They said the baby was healthy, strong, and maybe a little bit stubborn as they didnt want to sit still for the scan.
After working with two other egg banks (one was great and one was terrible) I stumbled upon Donor Egg Bank because of their Assured Refund Plan. Essentially, it is a guaranteed live birth or money back. Obviously there is a contract with stipulations but none of it was unreasonable as some other reviews here state. I was well-versed with contracts like this due to being in this arena for 5+ years. At this point, we had already spent SO MUCH money that I theoretically threw in the towel. I browsed the website on and off at work that day and at the end of the day I decided to call. To my surprise, someone actually answered the phone and though she was on her way out the door too, she spent the next 30 minutes with me patiently explaining the process and honestly, just giving me an ear while I told her what we had already been through up to this point. Something happened in that call for me and her name is Susanna. She gave me hope, hope I hadnt felt in a long time. I dont know if it was her voice, her words, fate telling me to call and even more fate having her pick up the phone at 5:59pm but she is who I thank for sitting here writing this review, a full year later and 37 weeks pregnant. Worth noting we were in different time zones too! Ill admit I was skeptical at first because a guaranteed live birth sounds like a big ask but every question I had and weird scenario I threw at them, they had an answer that made sense and gave me peace in moving forward with the process. I couldnt recommend this place more, especially with it being an organization that is in such a sensitive industry. Thank you DEB and Susanna!
My wife and I purchased a lot of 8 eggs from DEB. Our main criteria was high quality eggs from high quality donor. As soon as the egg lot was received at our fertility clinic we were made aware by the embryologist that two vials were mislabeled with 2 eggs when they only contained 1. This left us with 6 eggs and many questions and concerns. After fertilization and a failed transfer we have 1 possible baby and no response from Jocelyn or the director Monica after months of emails and calls. Our embryologist said the tubes were mislabeled.....after over $100k into this pain filled journey why dont we at least get some feedback from DEB?
I am from Canada, and egg donors are unfrequent since there is no financial incentive for them to donate their eggs (it is illegal here to pay for someones eggs, only expense reimbursement is legal). So i started to look at alternatives and seen that it was possible to import eggs from out of the country. I found DEB and felt the process was simple, quick and easy to use. I found the egg donor that matched my criterias best, got the lot of 6 eggs, all were fertilized, 2 were implanted and 1 properly attached! So I am happy to report that my son was born a few months ago as a health baby and he is thriving! My heart is just melting! I am currently working with Jocelyn to secure a second lot of the same donor to be able to conceive a sibling for my son! A big thanks to Jocelyn and DEB for all the help in making the dream of completing my family!
My experience with DEB eggs quality has been horrible. We purchased 6 eggs the doctor got them and from the 6 eggs, 2 didn’t even survived the egg thaw process. Only four were thawed and of the four only 1 fertilized. The doctor said she believes there was a problem with the eggs and that she was going to reach out to Donor Egg Bank USA. If I would have known that the eggs were going to be like this I would have never buy from them. I will try to talk to them and I’ll update the review once I do. We are heartbroken since we gave this company pretty much all of our savings.
My husband and I chose the Assured Refund Program with Deb USA after hearing about it through another couple we know. Our coordinator Jacque was so patient and compassionate and answered every question we threw at her! After almost 10 years of trying to start our family I finally had my very first positive pregnancy test and we welcomed our perfect little boy into our family. We can’t thank Deb USA enough for everything they have done to get us here.
Absolutely amazing experience. Super professional as well as every single person I spoke to on the phone (which was many!) was super kind, knowledge and efficient. Thanks to DEB USA I was able to birth my beautiful baby boy who is currently 11 weeks old and healthy as can be! Ive also recommended many of my infertile friends to DEB USA! Thank you for making it possible for me to be a mom!
Our experience with DEB was nothing but the best. We were able to identify a donor within 3 weeks due to the large database available, and got 2 beautiful embryos. Now we have a one year old and expecting a second one early next year. DEB changed our lives completely and made the impossible possible for us. Very grateful for the quality of services the company offers
Be cautious when dealing with this company. They sell eggs without testing for quality, and their guarantee of one blastocyst for every lot of six eggs does not ensure that the eggs are free from chromosomal abnormalities or other issues. In cases where the egg quality is not sufficient, they add extra eggs to ensure one guaranteed blastocyst, but this does not guarantee chromosomal normality. Consequently, they never lose money. For example, we purchased a lot of six eggs with three extras, resulting in one blastocyst that led to a positive pregnancy. Unfortunately, at 16 weeks of pregnancy, we discovered that the baby had Trisomy 18, which is not compatible with life.If you are considering buying eggs from this company, please follow these safety steps:1. Avoid purchasing lots of eggs with more than six eggs, as it may indicate poor egg quality.2. Ask the company if the egg donor has donated eggs before and if those donations resulted in healthy babies. If they are evasive or lack information about previous pregnancies, it might suggest that those pregnancies were not successful but they are not disclosing this to you.Considering the potential risks and lack of transparency, I strongly advise against dealing with this company. It appears to be unreliable and potentially spammy. Its essential to prioritize your health and well-being when making such important decisions.
The Donor Bank Team helped from day one and made the process of picking a donor and arranging payment and shipment smoothly. The provided the much needed communication every step of the way. I needed extra testing on my chosen donor and the genetics team along with the Custer service arranged everything smoothly and keep me informed as the testing was complete and the results submitted. I recommend them to anyone. They really eased me anxiety and the customer service was great.
My donor eggs failed to reach blastocyst. My clinic felt it was still worth transferring an early blast. The transfer did not work.DEB refuses to provide me a refund since my clinic still transferred the early blast. They could not say I would have been refunded if I chose to freeze the early blast (embryos don’t always survive a thaw so that makes not sense). This contradicts their requirement for me to wait for a post transfer negative pregnancy test.As of today (6 months post selecting eggs), the egg donor has cycled three times with no reports of a positive pregnancy.Admit it, the donor has poor eggs and people deserve a refund.
The entire process from start to finish was seamless for my partner and me. They consistently kept us in the know and followed-up with us regularly to see if we had any questions. We are grateful for their services!
Very low quality. We purchased a lot of 7 eggs. All made the thaw process with 100% fertilization. We were so optimistic early in the cycle only to find out on day 5 transfer that none had made it to blastocyst stage. None made it to the stage of being frozen. Very disappointed in the quality of the eggs.
First impression was decent. I asked Joceyln several times about what was and wasnt included in the Assured Refund plan. We were told several times that the medication and pre-screening was not included. Never did D.E.B USA tell us that after my wifes transfer date we would no longer be covered under the Assured Refund plan. After my wifes transfer she had to continue to be under the care of the Fertility Center for 9 weeks before they could release her. My wife and I both were under the impression that since our Fertility Center had us under their care as part of her cycle that until her release we would be covered under that cycle. This is a mandatory 9 week care before they clear the cycle as a success. Be aware that D.E.B doesnt cover this and considers it OBGYN care, although my wife never seen an OBGYN. Its completely wrong that D.E.B wouldnt cover her cycle up too being completed and considered a successful cycle. Were very happy with the Fertility Center of Illinois and happy that her cycle was successful. However, wish we would of done more research and would of gone with FCIs cost directly, which is roughly 14k per cycle compared to paying D.E.B 37k for a plan that doesnt even cover you up too the cycle completion.Update to D.E.B responseIts not right that you wouldnt cover the costs of insuring the cycle was completed and considered a success. Your company should take customer feedback better and make proper changes to your plans. At least explain more thoroughly what a couple should expect to pay out of pocket better. Immediately after transfer were still under the care of the Fertility center and was unable to leave until we were given a graduated status from their care. Once that graduation happens is when the cycle should be considered complete.
I extremely appreciated the human and warm service that Ruth offered me. She took the time to serve me well. She listened carefuly to my needs. I felt important to her. For several years I had hoped to become a mother. This dream had become my number 1 priority. I felt like the steps to get there were like a mountain after all the effort I had put in before to achieve this dream. Ruth helped make it easy to succeed. When she rejoiced at our success, it touched my heart. When Emma was born, Ruth asked me for news, what a pleasure to share my joy with her and to feel welcomed.I recommand Debusa and I am sure that all the members of the company will serve you with a full open heart. Louise.
I can tell you that the quality control and professionalism of the team at Donor Egg Bank USA is unlike many companies I have had interacción with. Every member I have met and interact with has a very clear mission of making every effort possible to make customers happy. This is a very emotional process and therefore I would take with a grain of salt the extremely negative comments. The caliber of proficiency and expertise of this company is simply outstanding.
So Ill do my best to keep this short. I wanted to give them 0 stars, but that would just be me speaking out of anger.Pros: My wife appreciated the amount and quality of egg donors. We were able to get 4 embryos.....which was almost unheard of!Wife got pregnant on the first try...and with twins! We laughed a lot about how ironic it was since we saved and scrounged for the assured refund plan. We did lose the twins, but that is not Donor Egg Banks fault.Cons: GOOD LUCK TRYING TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK AS PER THE CONTRACT.THEY HAD OUR MONEY FOR 3.5 YEARS! IMAGINE WHAT THEY MADE IN INTEREST WITHIN THAT TIMEFRAMENOTHING, AND I MEAN NOTHING HAPPENED UNTIL I THREATENED LITIGATION.WHATEVER RESPONSE YOU WANT TO PUT DOWN BELOW MONICA, IS WAY TOO LATE. YES, MY SITUATION WAS DIFFERENT, BUT THE UNANSWERED EMAILS AND NOT RECEIVING PHONE CALLS BACK SPEAK VOLUMES OF HOW SHADY THIS COMPANY IS.P.S. I ADDED A STAR AS THE CHECK WAS AT MY DOORSTEP 2 DAYS AFTER THREATENING LITIGATION. LETS SEE IF IT CLEARS.
We used Donor Egg Bank USA in 2016. Everyone that we delt with was so great to work with and so helpful always willing to answer all our questions. They even made follow up calls to see how we were doing. We took the package of 6 eggs, 2 did not make the thawing process and the other 4 were fertilized and 3 made it to the embryo stage. 2 had a higher cell count and we decided to put back all three as the one that was a smaller cell would most likely not make the freezing process. The 2 embryos took and we had 1 that developed into our beautiful son who is now 2 1/2 years old. And still the staff continues to stay in contact with us and even created a support group for us on Facebook to connect with others that have gone through their company to conceive via donor eggs. I will always recommend them any day.
I used DEBUSA (back when they were called that) through my clinic in Canada. We bought two lots of eggs (first didnt prove fruitful). Both times, the employees were very sweet and patient (I asked a lot of questions!). Whenever I spoke to someone, I felt like I was talking to a person who cared and not just an employee. Much different than my clinic who treated me just like a patient with money.
Ive been working with DEBUSA for 8 years and appreciate their dedication to the patients they serve, clinics they collaborate with, and their drive towards excellence! They are constantly working to improve their processes and hold true to their ethics and the betterment of gamete donation overall. And, they are one of the only egg banks that can offer a live birth guarantee!
The website where you search donors is very well organized. We were able to star favorite donors and hide those we were not considering. I am a detail-oriented person, so I wanted to know everything about the donors, and I was not disappointed. I found the profiles to be thorough and inclusive of what I wanted to know. Once we reserved a donor, the paperwork provided by the financial team was clear, easy to understand, and easy to sign electronically. Although you could pay using a credit card, it would have required a significant service fee. Therefore, we chose to do the wire transfer, which was a lower fee. Caitlin McKenna served as our case manager, and her service was exceptional! She had the difficult task of notifying me that we did not qualify for the Assured Plan, because my lining did not meet the requirement. She relayed the bad news with empathy and support. Throughout the process, I asked numerous questions. She was always timely in her responses, helpful, and genuine. Although it is a business, it did not feel that way. Caitlin genuinely wanted us to find success. To our surprise, only 1 of the 6 donor eggs we received fertilized. We were devastated, but Caitlin reassured us that it only takes one. She was right, because the embryo miraculously developed into a transferable blastocyst. Shortly thereafter, we learned we were pregnant, and Caitlin shared in our excitement. Of course we would not be pregnant without the help of DEBU, and for that, we are forever grateful.
The staff at DEB USA were phenomenal in providing assistance and support throughout our fertility journey and donor selection process. When you are already going through a tough life event having that ease of support and compassion makes all the difference in the world!
DEBUSA was a great website/business to work with. The amount of donors to view was extensive but easy to navigate through and not overwhelming. The filters were easy to pin point the physical characteristics we were looking for to match my looks and ethnicity. It is nice you can filter with specific words such as German or Irish (which is my heritage) You can search for eye color, hair color, and height. We literally made a spreadsheet with all the pertinent information and both my husband and I had to make a very difficult decision. It was a huge decision because this is what half of what your child will look like. I love that they include pictures of the donor now and as a baby/child.Caitlin was our case manager and she did a PHENOMONIAL job. She probably thinks I am crazy because I would overreact when we would lose a potential suitor. But like she said you never know if they have another lot available or God had other plans for us. Heidi was very attentive also as we would have questions along the way regarding financing and plans. I love the fact also that the donors are asked very specific questions so you can see what is in their hearts of why they donated their eggs and what they do as hobbies and work. The task was cumbersome but I was glad that we had such a great group of people having our backs to answer questions like: success rates of the lots, genetic issues and background information not available on the website.Caitlin was very attentive and quickly responded to our questions no matter what time of the day it was, even in the evening I remember getting emails from her once she had an answer for us. Her and Heidi both were cheerleaders for our success. Reaching out when we had any set backs and keeping in touch during these horrible months through Covid. If you chose to look at DEBUSA for an egg donor please dont feel overwhelmed. There are very compassionate and competent people behind this company. My advice is to make a list of what you want and create a spreadsheet with all the donors you select. Send an email to Caitlin and she will do a great job of letting you know more about each donor.I wish I could give 10 stars instead of 5 on this review because they deserve all 10 going above and beyond. I can truly say that both Caitlin and Heidi now hold a special place in our hearts and consider them extended family. Crossing our fingers for success and praying for anyone else who is starting this journey too. Youve come to the right place to get started. God bless to DEB!!!!!
I work with California Cryobank Donor Egg Bank on a professional level and always have a positive experience. The team is kind, caring, and very professional. When working with referred patients, the team goes out of their way to educate the patient on what to expect, and helps guide them through the process of matching with an egg donor that meets their needs.
Our experience with DEB USA is that this is worst place ever! Stay away. The staff is wonderful but the Manager, Monika, is a monster. How did this woman ever get a job in a place like this? Monika will give you the run-around on every specific question. My partner and I went to another place and it was a complete 180 from Monikas treatment. As someone that knows the law, it sad to see how Monika would take advantage of peoples desperation and lack of knowledge and mislead them. Shop around and you will see.
Extremely bad experience. 6 eggs= 1 sad looking 3 day/8 cell embryo that took (barely) and miscarried around 13 weeks. We will never use this egg bank again and we were with Northwestern Medical which is a top lab and only offered this option for frozen eggs. NW promised to enquire on the donors other eggs’ performance and due to their ‘close’ relationship despite that promise we never got follow up. We paid $17,000 and now the egg clinic wants to say they provided fully great eggs and the lab wants to say they handled them well and guess who is left with nothing. Me. The buyer.I think eggbank does not monitor their donors for full compliance on meds or the draw was immature follicles or the freezing was not done correctly. So many things pointed to a poor result from egg quality. During the process we asked for a full length photo / more photos of the girl as her photos didn’t show all of her and that request was ignored. We said we wanted the eggs despite that then a genetic disorder the girl had was pointed out and my husband had to have a long and expensive genetic test to prove he wasn’t a carrier. Please go anyplace else for eggs and save yourself the heartache and financial loss.We could not have been more mislead to expect 4 viable embys from 6 and ended up with nothing. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
We were able to find a donor fairly quickly. If you do find a donor you will need to secure it ASAP because it may be gone in a few days. The donor we selected fit our needs and the company was very responsive to questions on how the process would work.
I surprised that now volatile markets days Donor Egg bank USA is a very tricky commercial organization that never explained me a clear in details procedure before my Assured plan took money with agreement terms and conditions signature ! At Egg thaw date Apr17, I contacted Monica with telephone that I want to change the plan to single cycle but, she never cared to forwarded to Heidi (CEO) and Heidi refused to return money after 1 week of Embrio transfer though as a Cause, impact, and effects I lost a lots of money as a 1st time cycle baby came because I was confident of my progressive elaborated analysis incl my generation ! So, becareful about making decision to go there after your self assessment to avoid Monikas misguided to earn more money of teaching mathematics that assured plan 6 times if your requirements not needed, and written everything for example, for Monikas telephone conversation didnt prove to change of returned my money even CEO Heidi didnt care even Manager Monikas conversation after 1 week of Embrio transfer, now disappointed of not money having 2nd baby !
Extremely fortunate to have DEB on my journey to having a family. We have a 2 year old and now pregnant with a 2nd baby! Best of luck to others out there. Keep the faith!
Everyone that I have spoken with at DEB has been wonderful. They have been helpful in navigating a difficult time/subject with ease. I will forever be grateful for their time, patience, and kindness.
They were very easy to deal with and always explained things so they were easy to understand. They were very informative and were easy to get hold of when you had questions
Treated with the utmost kindness and sensitivity.
Very bad experience that I had my eggs out of 6 I had two a missed implantation a miscarriageYou can imagine how I feel after so much spending we end up with nothing, poor quality eggs, no replacement, do we have to pay so much to have a baby? I wish good luck to those who want to try this adventure as for me never again because instead of joy, I remained with bitterness
Very nice experience with this company. Very fast service and response to messages. Very understanding of our needs. I loved collaborating with them. We are expecting a beautiful casserole in January 🥰
Very good service, excellent company… I had a beautiful coconut in September..thank you!!
