Dr. Helms is absolutely amazing! She’s delivered my last two kids and I always feel so comfortable and cared for during my visits. She takes the time to listen to my concerns and explains everything clearly. The staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this practice!
Dr. Heathcott was caring, compassionate and focused on my specific care. She listened to my concerns and provided the necessary feedback to my needs. She did not rush and took the time needed to have a thorough and complete annual exam. She was very easy to talk to and proactive with additional needs.

TERRIBLE NEW PATIENT EXPERIENCE! I was placed with a NP because all of the doctors were booked out several months or weeks and I have been bleeding irregularly for two weeks and have fertility issues. The NP was very nice but was in over her head with my questions and need of care. She wrote me an order for an ultrasound and a follow up with a doctor and the scheduler didn’t make the appointment because there was a line of people behind needing follow up appointments as well. After that initial appointment I left a voicemail and portal messages every day letting the clinic know that I was still bleeding and that the scheduler never called me. I finally got a response through the portal THREE days later asking me what the blood looked like. Whoever that person was said they were sending in an order for an ultrasound at 4:45 that evening. The next day (five days after my appointment and still bleeding) I messaged them again asking about the original ultrasound order regarding the fertility issues and the follow up with the doctor. I received a response saying they didn’t have another order. So the scheduler lost my original order form my only appointment five days prior.So this is what I learned about that office.They have no backup support for the non doctors, if you don’t make an appointment whilst in the office then good luck, you need to be your own advocate, and if you are considered high risk then only see a doctor.
Dr. Heathcott is the best! Not only is she intelligent and professional, when I come in for appointments I always feel like she really cares(about me, her patients). Whether its a routine wellness appointment or I have specific questions about female health, she always makes me feel like she has time to hear my concerns and she addresses them on the spot. Thank you Dr. Heathcott! Im glad to be your patient.
I have been coming to see Dr Castilla for over 20 years. She is a delight. She takes her time with you. You never feel rushed to get your questions amswered. Great practice. Now that I am no longer on private insurance, I wish they accepted Medicare. I feel so comfortable at this practice, I have no problem paying ‘out of pocket’ once a year!
Dr. Langer is one of the very best doctors I’ve ever had. She’s a brilliant physician of course, but also so kind, patient, honest and makes even the most challenging of situations so much better. I trust her 100% and in a time where medical care can be challenging and frustrating, Dr. Langer and the entire Arizona Womens Care staff are simply the BEST.
I’d give Dr.Castille five stars, but she does not take medicare, so I can no longer see her (unless I want to pay out of pocket) because her practice clearly places no value on older women who don’t have private insurance. I think it’s disgusting to see how many gynecologists refuse medicare…and this is especially abhorrent because it’s female doctors turning their backs on other women. Shame on them…money over care. I thought she was better than that.
Dr. Helms is THE best doctor. She is so calming and really takes care of her patients. She delivered my little one and still continues to see me for my yearly womens check ups. I will continue to see her for as long as she is in practice.

Dr. Helms is one of the most caring doctors I have ever had. She and her staff go above and beyond to make your visit comfortable and efficient from the moment you walk in until the minute you walk out! I highly recommend this practice.
I was referred to this practice by my GP to obtain a specialized test needing to be done by an OBGYN. The receptionist was extremely rude & unprofessional. She was very passive aggressive & condescending when booking my appt, because I didn’t understand how she was explaining the different steps in the appt/consultation process that I needed to take prior to being able to even book the actual exam I was being referred for. Had my doctor not referred me to the provider, & if the actual provider reviews weren’t as good as they are on google, then I 100% would be booking elsewhere, based just on their receptionist. I can’t imagine having to deal with her again, especially if I end up having unfavorable test results & need to continue care here. Hopefully her demeanor is not a standard for the rest of the office staff.
The entire atmosphere of women makes you feel at home and taken care of here. Dr. Helms has been my doctor through three pregnancies and is again with my fourth. An unbelievable woman with knowledge and skills to make you feel comfortable in every situation. Utmost respect for this office of ladies.
Dr. Kwatra is the absolute best! I am so thankful for the care she provided through both of my pregnancies. My last pregnancy I was diagnosed with placenta previa. She helped me through so much! Words can’t express how amazing she is!

I just had surgery with Dr. Castilla. She is wonderful!! She explained everything very carefully to me and was really gentle when I was anxious....and she understands womens bodies. LOVE her and highly recommend her..plus her staff is amazing! Brianna is a rock star!

Dr Anne langer Is the worst Doctor in history. My sister almost died because of her. My sister was rushed to the hospital from this doctor removing the IUD causing a hemorrhage. The hospital asked Dr Anne langer to come in 3x because if a hospital does anything OBGYN related she would need to come in. Dr Anne langer Refused and didn’t want to deal with my sister. Turns out this caused her to have a deadly infection that almost killed her. My sister had to re-learn how to walk from this extreme trauma done to her. When Dr Anne langer kept refusing to help my sister in the hospital and made it seem to the hospital that my sister was fine, all that time could’ve been used to treat my sister but only as time went on in the hospital it was getting severe. The trauma caused a blood vessel to break in her uterus causing a hemorrhage. Her body was gushing blood and she became so weak from this she can barely walk. She had to re-learn how to walk. What a shame Dr Anne langer is. She never apologized either. Her disrespect and ignorance towards my sister, dismissing my sisters symptoms and telling the hospital she wasn’t coming in and it wasn’t any “uterus” related (when it was quite literally uterus related) could’ve had her killed. My sister is only 20 years old and now has to re-learn to walk?!?! What is wrong with you Dr Anne langer. Terrible place.

Dr Kwatra has been an amazing Dr to have trust in. She has now removed a polyp, performed a laparoscopy for endometriosis, and now we about to do a robotic myometomy in order to remove fibroids that would cause complications if not removed for pregnancy along with removing my , possibly , stage 2 endometriosis by excision. She is honest, reassuring, well spoken, highly resourceful and filled with wisdom. I am so grateful I have her on my team as we are trying to conceive. I know that when I get pregnant it will be a beautiful experience because of her guidance.

Had a great experience with MA Bianca and Dr. Heathcott! Very friendly and caring, took amazing care of me and my baby, I was just disappointed with the lack of communication with Michele Thill, from billing department. I felt ignored with my refund case due to not hearing back for a few weeks after calling and leaving several voicemails, as I was under the impression that Michele would call back within 24 hours or so as stated in her voicemail.
I was not happy with my most recent visit to Arizona Women’s care. I drive over 30 minutes here because of all the good reviews it got. I ended up having to wait an hour when they put me in the room. I thought they forgot about me and then peeked my head out of the room. I had some questions and felt like they were not addressed because the response I got was to “drink more water and rest.” and that was the entire appointment. I drove all the way for that and had to wait an hour for the appointment to last less than 5 minutes. I still had to pay for the visit and it was the biggest waste of my time. Never going back.
Dr. Kwatra has cared for me for more than 15 years and has helped manage complicated underlying health issues that go along with my OBGYN care. She has also performed multiple procedures and helped delivered one of my children when I was high-risk for complications. She is up to date on new medical advancements and therapies and has always looked at me holistically as a patient and I am thankful I have a provider who I can trust and is always looking out for my wellbeing.

I transferred to Arizona Womens Care and into Dr. Kwatra’s care late term at about 30 weeks and I couldn’t be more pleased. She is so sweet, and made me feel so comfortable right away. She listens to any of my concerns and has made the process of switching doctors so late in my pregnancy so smooth. I love the AZ Women’s Care is a fully women staffed office, and everyone there is beyond professional. Can’t recommend them enough!

Super well-run practice! Dr. Langer is amazing! You feel like she has spent an hour with you every visit, its a special gift. She provides information in such a way that you dont feel pressure if there is a decision to be made and she is honest without being scary when issues arise. I always feel well informed and prepared. This practice has had the same physicians for nearly two decades I think, at least 12 years since I have been going there. That says something also about the support they have from one another that trickles down to patients especially in times of crisis.
Ive been seeing Dr. Langer for several years and am excited that Ill soon be expecting my first baby. At times Ive had concerns about my health and fertility and Dr. Langer has always been great about addressing all my concerns. Shes very knowledgeable, has a warm caring personality, and great bedside manner. I like to research, be proactive with my health, but depending on the interventions sometimes I want to avoid unnecessary treatment if there are more benign or natural remedies I can try first. I like having a doctor that is warm and patient, explains and provides my options, and makes me feel like a participant in my healthcare. Aside from really liking my doctor, Ive heard good things about the other physics at Arizona Womens Care from other patients. Its also important to note that all of the staff is great, which is not something I always experienced in the past at other offices. The staff here is kind and responsive. Scheduling is easy, the shared client portal is convenient, and overall I cant think of anything negative to say. I highly recommend this clinic.

Recently I experienced an emergency and I can’t rave enough about Dr. Helms and the on call team for how quick they were able to respond and help. Dr Kwatra is really wonderful ! She is smart , sweet and very capable . Her scope of knowledge extends far beyond OB / gyn . She delivered my son 20 years ago and I have seen her through all the changes that women’s bodies go through . The Mona Lisa laser has been a blessing for the age related vaginal dryness and atrophy too !
My appointment last month was postponed due to doctor family emergency. Had to wait several weeks to get rescheduled. During the visit the doctor got a call from the hospital with patients in labor. Had to rush at the end. Annual check up last year was postponed due to a patient in labor. Love my doctor, but beware a VERY BIG VERY busy practice! Messages through the portal are often handled by the assistant, not the doctor.
The staff is quite helpful and pleasant. The surroundings are comfortable and uplifting. Dr. Castilla is amazing. She is professional and extremely knowledgeable, with the perfect amount of relaxed personal appeal.
Had Dr Langer. And had the worst experience of my life with her. It was my first time being pregnant and they had my due date wrong so from the start was awful and she wouldn’t make the time for me I had to call and find out if I was even still pregnant. And she called after hours because she was too busy all day. Just to leave a voicemail that I’m having a miscarriage and I couldn’t call back to ask questions. Completely unprofessional and I will never go to this place again. 100% wouldn’t recommend going .

So I found this clinic just by searching online for a new gynecologist. I made an appointment with Dr. Helms and immediately felt at ease. She is so knowledgeable and has an amazing way of connecting with her patients. I knew she would be the doctor for who I would want to delivery my baby when the time came.So when I did fall pregnant soon after I had the best experience with this office and with Helms. It was the most enjoyable 9 months and I was so happy to see her with every visit! When it came time to have my baby (at 4am) she was there to deliver my beautiful healthy and happy baby boy!I just had my 6 week check up and she got to meet my bundle of joy she helped me deliver. I got a clear and clean bill of health. I even said how much Im going to miss seeing her every month and week.I would recommend this office to anyone who needs womens services :)

Now about Dr. Julie Kwatra. As a practitioner, she is a wonderful listener and very thoughtful as she responds to your concerns. She is an amazing obstetric gynecologist. I have been her patient for 22 years. My two adult daughters are now her patients as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Julie Kwatra and Arizona Womens Care.
My wife came here for her first appointment after finding out we were pregnant with our first child at the age of 40, so it’s a big deal for us. She was excited to arrive and said the provider was amazing, which is why there is two stars. The front desk women were complete snatches. They were not friendly or the slightest bit helpful. They had the window closed and barely opened to ask what she wanted, then after confirming her arrival for the appointment, they only told her to go in the door, go left and take another left and then take a pregnancy test! More happened with their interaction but you get the picture.
After reading the numerous reviews I decided I would attempt to schedule an appointment. Called at opening and no one answered so I left a voicemail and of course when they called I missed it. Called again and again no answer, I don’t have time to play phone tag so I’ll another practice that wants my business.

So far Im 32.5 weeks into my pregnancy and super dissatisfied with my experience at this office.This is is my first pregnancy and I have no idea what to expect or how often I should be seeing the doctor or what my next steps should be. I havent had a doctors appointment for about 8 plus weeks now and feel super lost. No one has reached out to me to schedule another doctors visit or do any additional testing. I feel like I have no idea whats going on in my pregnancy. When I emailed them to see when my next doctors visit was supposed to be, they said they couldnt book me because I was $150 past due on my account.That really bothered me because I have not been notified of any bills and I would pay it immediately if I had. Do you think i would let $150 ever get in the way of taking care of my baby?It makes me feel like they dont care about me or my child as there has been no initiative on their end to reach out and check on me.Also I have been emailing their billing department for weeks to get the right forms sent off to my insurance for reimbursements and they still havent completed the requests. It takes 4 or 5 days just to get a simple response back.
Julie Castilla is a wonderful doctor. She’s always really nice, puts you at ease, and doesn’t rush through things. She talks with you, and answers any questions you have. She’s also very good with my husband - after a surgery, she talked with him, and he’s been a fan since.
I was a new patient and Dr. Castilla really spent time talking to me and getting to know me. Usually Doctors rush in and out - but my experience with her was unique and made the usual uncomfortable annual exam more pleasurable.
I’ve been a patient at AZ Womens care since 2001. With Dr Ann Langer. They are all caring doctors , they are like dear friends that you don’t see often but always think fondly of and smile and catch up like it was yesterday when we have our annual visit. There are no better “woman” doctors in the Valley IMO. When my son was 32 weeks premature Dr Langer was out of town at a funeral and still checked in when I “ wet the bed” and made me go to the ER, Dr Kwatra delivered Miles the next day and Ann checked in on me, got two docs for the team delivery that day and was well cared for by them both. Still grateful
This is honestly the best OBGYN in the valley. The staff is so kind and empathetic, they really go above and beyond for you. They always make you feel comfortable, Dr Castilla has an amazing bedside manor and most importantly the support staff is exceptional. They have even helped me over a holiday weekend. Highly recommended

This office is wonderful! Dr. Helms has been an incredible doctor. She has been my doctor through both pregnancies. She is very friendly, takes her time with you, and personally calls to give you feedback on test results. She makes you feel like friends which I find very comforting walking into motherhood. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Helms and her staff. She is the most kind doctor that really takes the time to do what is best for her patients. I never felt rushed at my appointments with her and I really felt that she listened to all my concerns and questions as a first time mom. Dr. Helms also delivered our daughter via c-section after being induced and laboring for 24 hours. The c-section went perfect and recovery was very simple. And we got a beautiful and healthy baby out of it! It really showed that all the nurses at the hospital even talked about how much they loved Dr. Helms. We knew we were in great hands! And her staff is amazing too! Always so friendly and really eager to help in any way. Thank you Dr. Helms for your amazing care and being such a genuinely nice person!
First of all THE rudest, most impatient MA’s ever, terrible phone system, no communication, terrible patient platform- ON TOP OF my doctor somehow “overlooked” a decently sized tumor on my fallopian tube after labs, scans, and ultrasounds and she instructed me to just “have another ablation” (her wording) because she couldn’t figure it out. After years of treatment with this doctor and her knowing I have a complex and traumatic gynecological history, that was such a deep emotional wound she delivered to me.I thankfully told my GP (who was horrified) what my doctor here had suggested and she referred me to a gynecologist/office who actually took the time to diagnose and treat me correctly. In short with what was going on with me, I ended up having to have a hysterectomy. So, if I would have taken the advice I received from the doctor here who I thought I could trust- I would have suffered even more than I already did. I was in excruciating pain and to know I was not cared for hurts deeply because it’s already been traumatic enough with the issues I’ve had with my reproductive system.
Dr. Langer is very kind and easy to talk to. She has been my doctor for the past 8 years and I’m thankful I found her. I drive over 45 minutes to see her so you know she is worth it!
My experience with Dr JulieAnn Heathcott was AMAZING. Her kindness and thoroughness are exceptional. She is very caring and considers all options available, and listens carefully to your personal wishes. I needed bloodless surgery with no options. Dr. Heathcott is an amazing doctor! She provided excellent care, comfort and the guidance I needed throughout my first pregnancy. My appointments were very efficient but never rushed - she was always available for all of my questions and concerns. I also had a wonderful experience with other staff members each time I had an ultrasound (the ultrasound technician was so kind, calm, and reassuring, and made the experience special for me and my husband) or needed to use the in-office lab for blood work/testing. I am so grateful to have found this doctors office!

I saw Dr. Castilla for a consultation for an IUD replacement. The office was comfortable and very neat, checking in was quick and staff was very friendly. Dr. Castilla made me feel very comfortable and our visit was fast, she communicated everything I needed to know and answered any questions I had. I highly reccomend this office.

I love this office, I drive 45 minutes from home to come to this office. I have been a patient for 8+ years now and I wouldnt go anywhere else! Dr. Heathcott is my doctor and she is the best! Unfortunately, I didn’t have a good experience at this practice. I had talked to my gynecologist (at another practice) about getting a hysterectomy just before I found out I was pregnant. Once I found I was pregnant, I scheduled an appointment with Arizona women’s care with an OBGYN. The doctor met with me for 10-15 min and then I went in to get an ultrasound where the ultrasound tech told me I would be miscarrying. The doctor had left for the day so I was not able to talk to her and no medical team member reached out to tell me what I should expect during a miscarriage. It was the ultrasound tech, who I don’t believe is qualified to provide any medical advice, told me I could take Tylenol or ibuprofen for the pain and use a heating pad. This led me to believe I would experience minor pain, if she advised to take Tylenol or ibuprofen. A follow up ultrasound was scheduled a week out which would definitively confirm the miscarriage. For that whole week, I didn’t hear from the doctor. The medical assistant called me to read me my lab results and I even mentioned to her that it’s very anxiety provoking to be told I’m miscarrying and not have a follow up appt with the doctor to discuss next steps or what to expect. She agreed and said she didn’t know why the appointments were scheduled like that. Again, it was the ultrasound tech who provided medical advice and told me I would bleed and cramp and I should just take the over the counter meds. So a few days later when I did start to miscarry, I was bleeding very heavily was in excruciating pain. Since the ultrasound tech said ibuprofen would help, I took the ibuprofen. It did not help. After googling my symptoms, I ended up going to the emergency room as google had recommended given the pain and amount of bleeding I was experiencing. This recommendation did not come from arizona womens care. Google told me to go to the emergency room. When I got there I was given morphine and fentanyl, which still didn’t relieve my pain. I had to get blood clots physically removed from my cervix, which were causing excessive bleeding and cramping. No one from Arizona women’s care had warned me or told me this could happen or that I may need to go to the emergency room. No one from Arizona women’s care gave me any guidance or provided me any education on what I should expect during a miscarriage. After that emergency visit, I reached out to Arizona womens care to cancel my follow up ultrasound since the miscarriage had completed while I was in the emergency room. I messaged the medical assistant and asked if I could talk to the doctor about my fertility and future pregnancies. I thought that was a fair request considering I had not talked to her about how this miscarriage could affect future pregnancies. The medical assistant called me and said she talked to the doctor who recommend I go back to my gynecologist to talk about the hysterectomy I had originally planned. It’s clear either the medical assistant didn’t even read my email where I asked if could talk to the doctor about a future pregnancy, or the doctor didn’t care to meet with me. I think it’s fair to assume a doctor should care enough about their patient to follow up with them after they had a miscarriage or at least provide guidance during a scary time. Overall, I just received bad care.
Felt welcomed and at ease from the second I walked in. Dr. Castilla was amazing. Super personal and made me feel like I was the only patient she had all day. So nice not to feel rushed!
This is my second pregnancy with Dr. Langer and she is hands down THE BEST. I can’t imagine going through a pregnancy and delivery with anyone else. She is patient in all appointments and answers our millions of questions. Even better is she’s is kind and down to earth and my appointments are always enjoyable, thorough and informative. The entire office staff makes you feel welcomed and taken care of and I’d recommend Arizona Women’s Care to everyone!

Dr. Heathcott is knowledgeable, experienced, down-to-earth, genuine and kind. I have seen her for 9 years and trust her greatly. I have also seen Dr. Helms and she is fantastic as well. Arizona Women’s Care is a wonderful practice and I am grateful for the support they have provided pre-children, through my two pregnancies, deliveries and currently.

This practice keeps removing my review. So Im posting it again.I told Dr. Heathcott at the beginning of my appointment that I’m recovering from anorexia and I asked her not to comment on my weight, because it’s a trigger that will cause me to relapse. (I also have a separate PTSD diagnosis related to my ED.) She proceeded to tell me minutes later that she had a hard time giving me an examination because of the size of my belly and because my bladder was full. Come again? I’m confused… I had asked minutes ago for no weight comments, citing a deadly mental illness as the reason why… So what happened? For additional context, while I do tend to carry my weight on my abdomen, I have had body compositions done consistently showing that I have high levels of lean muscle and average fat levels. So… If she can’t respect triggers and consequently says she has a problem doing her job on someone my size, who quite literally has body comps proving there is no excess fat (yes, despite what my ED tells me every day, something I lost over half my life to), that’s a really bad sign for a doctor and I’d recommend running far away.I gave this practice another try with Dr. Kwatra because I had a recommendation. I explained what happened and told her about my triggers, and she seemed receptive for a few sessions. Unfortunately, you can tell where this is going. Because its possible that I have Cushing’s disease and/or PCOS, I let her know how, at the time, I stopped having periods. She proceeded to address this by making a weird comment about how some women lose their periods through disordered behavior and that they’re “super thin,” and then said that women with PCOS, in contrast, with their adipose… I stopped her there and reminded her of my anorexia recovery and how that comment sounded like she was calling me fat. (Like, saying Some women lose periods through being thin, then theres people like YOU... Ignoring the fact that I did lose my periods through malnutrition at some point and I am, still, literally not even fat. Just not killing myself anymore. What - should I be?) She assured me that she wasn’t, and that PCOS is characterized by insulin resistance and not weight. Okay. Then why did you bring up weight? Especially to a patient who has reminded you of their anorexia recovery every single visit leading up to this point? Dr Kwatra tried to comfort me by telling me that many people with EDs go to this clinic. But I’m confused, because then the doctors here would actually know how to talk to them. So thats BS. The staff up front are kind, but that’s not enough. We go to doctors to be listened to, and without that, what’s the entire point? Kind desk staff and a pretty office arent a valid tradeoff for walking out of here with a new ED relapse nearly every single time. Do better. Listen.Not to mention, this office really seems to push body sculpting programs on you - yes, even when you specify that you have ED triggers. While no one said anything to me directly about this, there are posters and pamphlets everywhere you go. Even when I wrote my ED down in my paperwork, another nurse handed me my supplements in a bag after my appointment advertising body sculpting. Hello? I almost died from starving myself and Im STILL trying to recover from the mindset. How many times do I need to repeat myself?
Im so glad that I found Dr. Helms! After following the advice of a friend, I decided to switch over to Arizona Womens Care from my previous OBGYN.It was the best decision. Dr. Helms has always been encouraging, caring, and so easy to talk to. She makes you feel comfortable and like youre talking with a friend! I look forward to seeing her at each of my appointments, fully trust her guidance, and always leave her office feeling better than when I arrived. Their office also has a messaging portal which has been great to use if you have a quick question.I was lucky enough to have her deliver my first daughter and have been seeing her now in my second pregnancy (and in between babies too). This pregnancy has been a little stressful, but shes been there every step of the way to keep me informed and offer advice. I hope Ill be lucky enough to have her deliver my second baby.
Dr. Heathcott is amazing! I could not have had a better pregnancy or birth experience. I was high risk due to a variety of conditions, and Dr. H. left no stone unturned when providing a plan for my care. She is on time 99% of the time, which is helpful as I commute over two hours just to see her (a decision I will never regret!) If she is late, which is rare, it’s because she’s providing compassionate care to women who are experiencing losses, or women who require complex care that takes longer (like me). I had a less than helpful OBGYN visit before settling on her to over see my pregnancy during this vulnerable health journey, and so it’s good to know that if a patient needs a little extra time, she will be there to provide it! Thank you Dr. H. for making me feel safe, confident in my care, and heard.
I’ve been going to Dr. Helms for a couple years now and cannot speak highly enough about her and the entire practice. They are SO accommodating with appointment times and really listen to your needs. If you are looking for an amazing OB/Gyno look no further!

Dr. Heathcott is and always has been the most caring and compassionate doctor I have ever known. It’s above good bedside manner, she is warm and friendly and looks out for her patients as if they were family. She brought my 3 amazing sons in the world and all these years later she still is a wonderful doctor that goes above and beyond.

She always takes time to listen to any updates or concerns you have & genuinely feels like she wants the best for her patients. What an incredible office! The staff was friendly from the moment I walked in to the moment I checked out.A friend of mine recommended Dr. Helms to me and I was impressed with her professionalism and genuine care she provided me. I was a bit hesitant due to my situation of having to switch OB offices 5 months into a pregnancy but they made me feel comfortable as if they had been seeing me since day one. I didn’t feel rushed at all during the appointment with Dr. Helms and she took the time to answer all of my questions. 10 out of 10 would recommend this office!

Dr. Castilla has been my GYN for many years. I trust her implicitly and have recommended friends and daughter to her practice. Her office is warm and staff is professional. The wait time is always within reason. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. I am truly a satisfied patient.
It’s a nice place but the service is horrible considering what I went thru. I went to do labs and one of the girls at the reception in the back barely even looked up from her phone as I was talking to her as if I interrupted something. I was asking simple questions as I was concerned regarding my pregnancy. She kept the answers super short and wasn’t very helpful at all. I just wanted to know what the process was regarding the blood samples. It almost seemed like she was giving me dirty looks because she didn’t want to put her phone down. I was in a lot of pain and knew something was wrong but they kept telling me they couldn’t do anything and kept putting it off. They wouldn’t even look at me or examine me in any way. I ended up going to the ER the next day and had to get emergency surgery to remove the baby and my fallopian tube. If I would’ve waited like the staff instead I did, it could’ve been life threatening but luckily I took it upon myself to go to the hospital instead of waiting on them to decide to see me. I would think twice about going somewhere where they don’t acknowledge your concerns during a pregnancy which is such a touchy thing.
Everyone Ive interacted with in this office is incredibly kind and great at their jobs. From the front desk, triage, bloodwork, Dr Heathcott, and the check out/billing women really provide a comforting and professional experience. As a first time mom it was very important for me to find somewhere I felt comfortable so Im super grateful to be a patient here!
I have been visiting Dr Heathcott. She is fabulous. She is very experienced and exuberates confidence, being FTM it was essential for me. She always gives time, encourages asking questions. She is very patient and absolutely knows what needs to be done. I had my first baby delivered by her and if I go for a second child I will want her to be my Doctor.
Wonderful, caring, knowledgeable providers. They made availability for a next day appointment for me after a horrible event in my life and supported me through the entire process. In-house lab makes testing easy and convenient. I have seen Dr. Helms and NP Elia V. and both are incredible, professional women. Very comfortable atmosphere and staff puts your mind at ease. Billing and scheduling is quick and efficient. I am always amazed seeing so many birth announcements of proud parents all over their walls — a true testament to the loving care given by the providers.
I have seen Dr. Helms for years and I wouldn’t go to anyone else for this practice. She is always friendly and always remembers the little things about you. She makes you feel comfortable and easy to talk too. I would highly recommend her and she is a wonderful doctor.

Dr Castilla is very personable, I feel like she’s a friend. She’s been treating me for over 6 years. She spends quality time, ask lots of questions and is very thorough. She even writes things down for you, so you can remember all you have discussed. Quality care!
I saw Dr. Heathcott at the first of October for my endometriosis. The plan was to get an IUD as my endometriosis was getting substantially worse. I waited from October to February for them to figure out the IUD problem as they kept citing insurance issues. They told me they do not do prior authorizations nor do they buy and bill. At the beginning of February, they reached out with a new treatment plan and said they would follow up. I never received a call, and it has been nearly 2 months. Any communication I received before was from me reaching out because no progress was being made. I saw a new provider in February and my IUD was approved and my appointment for insertion was scheduled all within FIVE days. This is how I know it was an office problem and not an insurance problem. I am disgusted by the lack of concern, urgency, communication, and insurance competency. Will never recommend this place to anyone.

Dr. Kelly Helms has been my doctor for more than 7 years. She is so knowledgeable, takes the time to explain everything and answers all of my questions. I feel like she truly cares about my health. She is the best of the best and I highly recommend Dr Helms for womens care.
I have gone to Arizona Women’s Care to see Dr. Castilla since 2014 and she always makes me feel comfortable. I’ve had several health issues through the years and it never fails to feel embarrassing when talking about gynecological health, but she is amazing at making complex situations seem normal and treatable. She also helped my husband and I with conceiving our son, who was born in September this year. She is a wonderful person and extremely knowledgable in her practice; I feel totally cared for when I see her.

I’ve been going here since we moved to Arizona 7 years ago. Started with Dr. Castilla who is wonderful. She delivered my son 5.5 years ago. She is caring and takes the time to listen. She helped me through my roughest of ppd after having my son. She genuinely cares about her patients’ well-beings. I continue to see her as a gynecologist. When I got pregnant with my daughter she recommended Dr. Kwatra for my OB. Dr. Kwatra is also very caring and takes her time with you. I had a rough pregnancy and ended up in the hospital. She came to check on me and always asked if I needed anything. During my stay in the hospital, I got to meet Dr. Heathcott and Dr. Helms. They were both super sweet and again asked if there was anything they could do to help make my stay at the hospital easier. I highly recommend this practice!

The visits are actually something I look forward to each year. Not only do I have my annual visit, I am also able to have all blood work done on site and any and all referrals are made the same day. I was referred to Dr Helms at Arizona Womens Care by our doula that assisted with the birth of our first born. Dr Kelly Helms is spectacular and my husband and I are both so glad we switched over from another practice. We had just moved back to AZ and were a month out from our due date. She accepted the challenge and acted quickly to get to know us and our birth plan. She’s so friendly and personable and the doctor-patient relationship is caring, educational, warm, and welcoming.During the actual birth, and as it happens, my body couldn’t accommodate our plan. We noticed that Dr Helms really tried everything she could to help us reach our goals but when a c-section was going to be our best option for a healthy delivery we (and our doula) agreed and knew we could trust her advice.The surgery went very well and most importantly, our baby is incredible and very healthy.I’ve only had one longer than usual wait in this office and unlike other reviews have stated, I’m typically called back in a reasonable amount of time.
I was referred to Dr. Kwatra by a co-worker’s daughter and I am so thankful I made the switch and used her as my OB. She is professional and thorough but you can tell she values making a connection with her patients. My husband and I were so happy with her care throughout my pregnancy, but she really shined during my delivery. I was so grateful she was there when I delivered my son! She remained calm through my entire delivery, even when there were complications. I will definitely remain a happy patient of Dr. Kwatra!
I have been a patient of Dr Langer for almost a decade. I started going to Arizona Womens Care because it was close to my job, but I have continued my care there over the years because the staff is always friendly and quick to respond to messages, the office is always immaculate, and the general atmosphere is calming and quiet. Super convenient that there is a lab on-site. Also, as a plus size woman I have to say I have only ever experienced respect and not once been weight shamed, or in my opinion treated any differently than any other patient. I would 100% recommend this practice to anyone.

Dr Langer was my Dr through my pregnancy and she was fantastic. She has an incredible way of making you feel very special and is very present during visits. She is also evidence based and data driven and takes the time to explain things to you without judgement and genuinely wants the best for you in your specific situation. I highly recommend Dr Langer to any woman in need of womens health care. I ended up delivering on a holiday weekend night and Dr Helms was on call and did my delivery, she was able to pick up my care seamlessly and was equally incredible. She did my repeat C/S and my recovery was a breeze and its a testament to Dr Helms surgical abilities! You cant go wrong under Dr Langer and Dr Helms care.
I always love coming in for visits. Everyone who works in the office is so nice and friendly, and the office itself is comfortable, peaceful, and welcoming. Dr. Langer is the best! I feel completely at ease talking with her about any questions I have. I feel she truly cares about me, and provides the care I need.
Great experience! Scheduling was super easy thanks to their website. I had a hard time getting anyone in the phone but their amazing and user friendly website saved the day. Loved all the reviews on there as well. Was there a little long waiting to be called back and waiting on the doctor but Dr. Castilla was super laid back, friendly, and professional. Overall a great experience.

A friend of mine referred me to Arizona Women’s Care when I moved to Arizona and found out I was pregnant. It was the best referral I have had. Most of my life I have been fearful of child birth but once I started seeing Dr. Heathcott my fears went away knowing I was in such good hands.Every visit I had to see Doctor Heathcott I showed up with a list of questions. I could tell that she really took my concerns seriously and she would always take the time to answer all of my questions in detail and put me at ease. It was obvious that my health was her top priority.Dr. Heathcott is an extraordinary doctor, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a confident, caring, honest, and incredibly knowledgeable OB. She just delivered my second baby and both deliveries were seamless. Enjoyable, even! She really is the best of the best.

Dr. Helms is the absolute BEST! I had a tricky pregnancy with blood pressure issues and a traumatizing delivery, and she truly will go to bat for you. Every visit she never seemed rushed, and was willing to answer all my questions. I’m pregnant again and had moved since my last baby, but was willing to drive the 30 minute commute just to see her. Unfortunately they don’t take our new insurance and when I found out I sobbed knowing she wouldn’t be able to deliver my baby. My new OB just doesn’t compare haha. Can’t say enough good things about her and the entire office staff!

I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for an OB or gynecologist. I am currently pregnant with my 2nd and have seen Dr. Helms for both babies. I have absolutely loved my experience at this office and with Dr. Helms. I feel very taken care of, and always made aware of what to expect during the process. I love that there is a phlebotomist on site to complete all the blood work that you have to complete throughout pregnancy. Ultrasounds done onsite as well. Results of tests are Quick, and their patient portal is very easy to use along with quick responses from the triage nurse or dr.
Dr Julie Kwatra is a kind/helpful practioner but her level of respect for the patient is not desirable. I have been visiting this practice for at least a decade and for the last three or four years she is continuously late, making me wait upwards to one hour. My visits typically last 5-10 minutes because there’s no time left once she walks into the examination room. If you are looking for a practice that offers timely service and respects the patient’s time, this is not where you want to go. I will be leaving this practice after a decade of service. Gone are the days where doctors have bedside manners and actually care to give you their time.

I agree entirely with other reviews that Dr. Helms is wonderful and I would rate her 5 stars, but after my experience with the front staff and lack of caring, I am unsure if I can justify going back.I had a 16 week prenatal appointment scheduled today, with email confirmation. I received no notice of any issue or change, and so both my husband and I took the time off of work to attend. When I arrived, I was notified that I had no scheduled appointment and the front staff didnt know what happened. I double-checked my patient portal and had no messages about a cancellation there either.A prenatal appointment cancelled with no message or notice AND a calloused attitude and lack of explanation to boot? Needless to say, Im extremely sad to even have to consider another doctor when Dr. Helms was perfect. A bummer waste of our time.
Dr Heathcott, RN Malisa, phlebotomist, and entire staff at Arizona Womens Care are all wonderful! I have always been happy with the care I receive at my visits :-)
Dr. Helms was consistently amazing throughout my pregnancy. She is super nice and very knowledgeable.

I have had several issues with Arizona Womens Care both during and after my appointment, and I am truly so disappointed as they were highly recommended.My appointment was November 22nd, mid-morning on a Monday and I had taken time off work for my annual womens exam. I checked in and completed the new patient paperwork and provided my insurance, and then sat in the mostly empty lobby for an hour (45 minutes from the appointment start time) waiting to be called back with no acknowledgement. I finally had to go up to the receptionist to ask what was going on, as I had only planned so much time off work, and was then told that the doctor had been called away for a delivery and was just then back seeing patients. I understand this can happen, but this should have communicated to incoming patients, especially is there is an hour or more delay. I was seen about 10-15 minutes later. This would have been a small frustration if it was the only issue, but now I see it as the first warning sign of general front-end mismanagement.The exam itself with the doctor was smooth and uneventful. On the way out I confirmed up front that I did not have a co-pay or anything needed and was told it was fully covered as preventative care. I thought that was the end until my next annual but I was wrong.A few weeks later, I received a bill for $200 for the exam, and when I called my insurance, I was told that it was because the office was out-of-network.At three separate points in the appointment process, I was told by Arizona Womens Care that they accepted my insurance plan and the appointment would be covered. When I called to make the appointment, when I provided my proof of insurance, and when I left the appointment. I was flabbergasted at how this happened with three separate instances of me confirming my insurance. My insurance called Arizona Womens Care right then to speak with someone to clarify what happened with no response.I have called the billing department three times over the past month and a half (starting 12/29) and left voicemails each time politely asking someone to call me back to discuss the situation, and have never received a call back. I understand it is busy, but I feel I have been more than patient in trying to resolve this situation. Of course this hasnt stopped the automatic calls and texts from them telling me to pay my bill.I am so frustrated with this situation and that nobody is willing to speak with me to figure out what happened and address the issue. While the doctors seem perfectly fine, it has been such a nightmare dealing with reception and billing (being told incorrect insurance information repeatedly, having no communication about appointment delays, and now being unable to reach anyone in billing) that I would recommend avoiding this practice.
I am new to the office, but it’s very spacious and clean. Dr Kwatra has an easy personality and makes you feel comfortable with discussing your personal matters. She also has the confidence you look for in a provider to help you make good decisions.
I have been seeing Dr Langer for over 20 years. The office is always very welcoming, kind and also very prompt. I just love Dr Langer so much she’s so super sweet very thorough , understanding and she always listens. Wouldn’t go anywhere else ever !
Dr. Langer is a kind, approachable woman. She speaks with her patients like a partner in care. She really listens to what we have questions or concerns about, and presents the options of how to proceed. Feels almost like visiting a friend :-).Her staff is also all friendly, nice, and competent. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Langer!

I have had nothing but amazing experiences here. The office staff is super polite and I love my GYN and my OB. Dr. Castilla was my OBGYN until she retired from OB practices last year. She delivered both of my boys - one via c-section and one was a VBAC. When she found out I wanted a VBAC, she supported me 110% and continued to check to make sure it would be possible for me to accomplish it. She is always very honest, down to earth, and attentive to her patients. I now see Dr. Helms for our third son who is to be born in Oct. She has been very timely in keeping the appointment time and has been very thorough when answering questions. In fact, she has taken the time to personally call me with test results or to answer questions. The concern and attention she has shown me during this time has been amazing. I would highly recommend either one of these ladies.
I am grateful to have Dr. Helms guiding me through my 2nd pregnancy... I feel safe, comfortable and cared for by her and the team at Arizona Womens Care. Like any doctors office, sometimes there will be a wait. And like with any pregnancy, sometimes there will be complications or changes to whats planned. What matters to me is that shes a fantastic OB/GYN.
Dr. Heathcott was amazing. I asked her a lot of questions and she took the time to answer each one. She explained how HRT works with positives and negatives. She order all the well check screenings necessary. Dr. Heathcott made me feel like I mattered.
Today I had my first appointment with Dr. Langer. She was very kind and caring. I was nervous about seeing a new provider, but the office as a whole are very welcoming. Couldn’t be happier! I had a small wait, but most medical offices do, which I am understanding of since I work in a primary care setting. Thank you arizona women’s care!
I compare other doctor visits based on my care here. I love this OBGYN office. The staff is welcoming and all seem to care.My doctor is Dr Langer- she’s AMAZING!I saw Dr Langer for years. When I moved I was sad to leave my OBGYN. Years later- I’m willing to fly in to get a check up/2nd opinion on my gynecological health.The doctors/LNP listen and have a bedside manner that make me feel comfortable and heard; not just a “patient quota”.I appreciate the drs and staff and recommend this office.sn: if I were to have a baby I’d want any one of these ladies on my birthing team—————-I read some reviews and will reiterate that you will most likely have to wait for your appt, even if you arrive on time. It’s inconvenient; however, I’ve grown accustomed to waiting for the docs.I’ve never personally had a problem with no call backs. The patient portal has improved since I first started going. I’ve not had an issue with docs taking time with me to address my concerns.
I love Dr Helms. I always receive her undivided attention in a very caring and understanding manner. Her recommendations and options for treatment provide a variety of best choices.

Dr Julie Ann Heathcott takes the time to really listen. I spent over a year going to many doctors, (including Mayo Clinic) looking for relief, which I finally found at AZ Womens Care. I trusted Dr Heathcott to perform my daVinci Robotic Hysterectomy. Shes an excellent surgeon & OB-GYN. Her entire office staff are caring and courteous, who get things done quickly and professionally (especially Dee, the surgery scheduler). I look forward to continuing on my path to wellness in partnership with Dr. Heathcott and her staff at Arizona Womens Care.

Although the wait is generally 30-60 minutes, Dr. Castilla is a personable, knowledgeable professional. If you don’t mind dealing with the scheduling issues, she is top-notch.
The one star is for the phone system only. The doctors, nurses, and office staff are amazing. The phone system is absolutely the worst experience Ive ever had. I have a prescription that needs to be refilled and my pharmacy is reaching out to me bc theyre unsuccessful getting a hold of the office.theres two different numbers to call, but the first one only allows two options and the second option sends you to the other numbers auto response.The automated message tells you that they will not be answering phones b/c theyre too busy during covid and that if you need to anything, to go to the patient portal. I went to the patient portal and I dont have access, thats fine just need to set it up. Call the number back and its an INSANELY long recording that you have to sit through every time. but theres no where to leave a message for the general front staff.I finally just ended up clicking the option that send me to schedule a surgery b/c I didnt know what else to do, I left a message begging for help. No response.I called again and the automated system tells you to select 0 if you want to leave a general voicemail but that doesnt work, there is no option 0 and it disconnects your call.Then I called again and left a message on another random voicemail (I think for billing this time?) and let them know that I just need my prescription refilled and Id LOVE to go to the patient portal but I cant. I FINALLY get a call back, but it went STRAIGHT to my voicemail and the lady was so nice and said to call the number back and enter a certain extension BUT YOU CANT ENTER EXTENSIONS the automated system doesnt give you the option and if the extension is 209 for example, you hit 2 first and it goes to the second option on the automated system.Its the WORST phone experience Ive ever experienced and I still need my medication. So, now Im telling the pharmacy to contact a my general practice doctor instead b/c I dont know what else to do.PLEASE FIX THE PHONE SYSTEMS
Couldn’t have imagined a better experience from check in to check out. I had several concerns and Dr. Langer addressed them all thoroughly. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional with incredible bedside manner. Highly recommended.

We transferred over to Dr. Heathcott late in the pregnancy and unfortunately, she did not make it to the delivery in time, so we only had a handful of visits in the final few weeks of the pregnancy, and therefore have no comments nor complaints whatsoever on the medical side of things.However, beware of the billing department at AWC which is either fraudulent or completely incompetent. Make sure you check your insurers EOB and verify that they have billed you correctly. They billed us for services not performed, and on top of that attempted to balance bill the disallowed charges from the insurer. We initially tried to explain that they were billing for services not performed, but the billing department (Misty) showed no interest in understanding the issue and said that we were liable to pay the full amount regardless. They then sent our file to a collections agency, at which point we noticed the 2nd mistake which was the discrepancy with the EOB (which we missed initially, having been new to the US and the insurance system). A bonus joke is that their collections agency added 54% as collection fees on top of the debt they claimed.Long story short, the initial debt claim that they sent to collections was for $844.97 (excluding the 54% of late fees), and after almost 8 months (from the date of childs birth) of back-and-forth calls and letters with their billing dept and their collections agency, we were finally refunded $953.59 (as we had made an advance payment prior to the delivery which they estimated would cover their services). Basically a mistake worth $1,798.56 which was a direct result of billing for services not performed as well as balance billing the disallowed charges from the insurer. Be very careful and scrutinize every bill you receive from them. If something about your bill is incorrect, do not attempt to resolve with the billing department amicably like we tried as it will likely backfire, just call your insurer and let them know, as we should have done from the start had we known better.
I’m my opinion Dr. Kwatra “saved my life” she sprung into action when another practice lacked the competency on a very serious medical condition… this will be my official obgyn being a new resident!
Today was my first patient appointment. I was impressed with how professional the entire office was and especially the physician ......so happy that I discovered this office.
Dr Langer is the absolute best. She helped me with both pregnancies and is extremely caring, attentive and knowledgeable. I cant say enough great things about her.

I have been going for my annual check up and this has been my second year. And I cannot say enough how nice everybody is in there and they just make you comfortable and if it’s your first time they’d be explaining you what’s going on or what is next. I’d really recommend it!

Let me start by saying I love Dr. Castilla - she is amazing and puts you very much at ease with your healthcare. The problem I have is with the billing department. I had a procedure done October 29th in the office and was asked to pay my estimated amount due prior to it being performed which was over $1000. I did so and understand completely why this was asked. However, I received my EOB from my insurance company and it stated that it was completely covered and I owed $0. This EOB was dated 12/09/2020 so I assumed they would see my overpayment and send a refund my way. I contacted the office on 12/30/2020 to inquire about it via the patient portal and received a response on 01/06/21 from Misty that I was in fact going to receive a refund and it would be sent out. I hadnt received it and followed up on 01/18/21 via the portal only to get a response on 02/02/21 again from Misty that it would go out with the next check run to my address on file. I am a very patient person, however this is just unacceptable. I was asked to pay ahead in good faith and I have no idea when I will receive my reimbursement which was meant to go toward my actual deductible that I had to pay elsewhere. It has been over 2 months since they received my EOB stating that I never owed a co-pay. This does not make a good practice.
Dr. Heathcott is friendly, shows care and concern, knowledgeable, patient and is a wonderful experience each time. The 1 hr wait time each visit is not.
Every single time I come to this place they have me wait anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour past my scheduled appointment time. It’s ridiculous! It’s also rude if you ask me! I guess doctors think only their time is valuable. Obviously this place is over booked or under staffed or both! Everyone who works there is pretty friendly m, however I can find friendly in a different place that values their patients time. My favorite is when they have you wait in the lobby waiting room for 30 mins only to take you back to another room where you sit naked from the waist down on butcher paper and wait for another 15 mins. I’m over it! This has happened one too many times! Oh and the kicker is I only spent 7 mins with the doctor.
Dr. Ann Langer is a gem of a person and a wonderful doctor. Caring, calm, funny and attentive. Really happy she is my doctor❤️
