I had an outstanding experience at Sonora Quest Laboratories, and I want to specifically acknowledge Heather at the front desk and Kathy in the blood drawing department. From the moment I walked in, Heather greeted me with a warm, friendly smile that immediately put me at ease. She was incredibly efficient and knowledgeable, making the check-in process smooth and hassle-free.Kathy, who handled my blood draw, was equally impressive. Her calm demeanor and expert technique made the entire process quick and painless. I usually get nervous during blood draws, but Kathy’s professionalism and care made it one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.Together, Heather and Kathy create an atmosphere that is both welcoming and highly competent. If you’re looking for exceptional service in a medical environment, I highly recommend Sonora Quest Laboratories. They are truly a cut above the rest!
This review is for their billing department. The phlebotomy a d front desk staff were great. I had out out of state insurance as I travel for work, and the incompetent people in their billing department did not bill my insurance and instead forwarded me to collections. Ill never use this company again, and I urge caution to anyone who has an out of state insurance policy.
The service at this location is always slow, but today was absolutely unacceptable. I went to get supplies for a stool culture. I didn’t get any bloodwork done. I waited nearly 30 minutes for the front desk to get me the supplies. I asked for an update after 15 minutes and he was extremely rude, didnt make eye contact and made it clear he was annoyed I asked. He said he would do it on one minute, but it was over 10 minutes later that he began gathering my things. He continued checking in patients and neglected my quick need. I was late getting back to work because of this employees terrible service. I wish I got the employees name, but his badge was turned around.
I have had mixed experiences with Sonora Quest, particularly at other locations. Based upon others experiences, I have been fortunate at the Ironwood location, which is why I return. This morning was no different. They were busy, so I couldnt get in before my scheduled 7:15 am appt, which was a disappointment but understandable. What I really value though was the skill of the phlebotomist and her kindness. I wish Id caught her name. Front desk staff was also pleasant.
Took my mom there as a walk in and they were very fast and a comfortable environment. The Sonora quest closest to me closed so this will be our new location from now on. Very kind and professional too.
My Drs paperwork failed after several requests to get there in time for my appts...the staff was so great & tried to help. I had to come 2 mornings at 6:30 (fasting) The 3rd morning it finally arrived and they got me right in.Thank you for your patience & dilligence. PatiP.S..Dont loose your paperwork, bring it with you !!
I really don’t do well with blood draws, but my provider was so kind and understanding. Very grateful for a good experience and lovely staff
Worst customer service. I had a scheduled appointment. I went in and told them I was there for a 3 hour glucose test. It took them 40 minutes to tell me they couldn’t find the order and I was able to have a fax sent over in less than 5 minutes. She then proceeds to tell me they don’t have time to do the glucose test. They prioritized the walk-ins. I will never visit this location again.
So glad I decided to schedule my appointment at Ironwood. I forgot how pleasant both the receptionist and entire staff there are.. Far cry from the awful Sonora Quest experience I had in mid-December at one of their other locations. So a big thanks to the staff and Annabelle the phlebotomist who drew my blood the old fashioned way - Professionally.and with a smile.Much appreciated everyone.
This place is very disorganized, the waiting area is very cramped and crowded, next time will try a different location hopefully its better. Bur I would avoid this location
Amazing, patient and respectful service. I showed up moments before closing, with a waiting room full of people and was told I will be helped too. If that was me I would not return the favor.A person showed up after the doors were locked, waited for a patient to be walking out, and tried to rudely argue to be seen. He was treated with respect and denied coming in.
I came to this location on Saturday because my Monday-Friday schedule prevents me from regular hours. I showed up at 10:59am and door was locked. I knocked on the door and phlebotomist came out. I asked why is door locked, she says we close at 11am. When I said it is 10:59, she responded I just do what I was told. I requested to speak with supervisor. When I asked her why did they close at 10:59 if its stated on Sonora website and Google Maps that facility is closing at 11, she responded We closed at 10:59 because we have too many patients. What can I say about this comment, it is very unprofessional and kind of sad actually. No matter how many patients was inside, if it says business is closing at 11, lock the door at 11, not 10:59. The whole point is I showed up before closing time. I almost never leave negative comment but this one deserves it. I thought Sonora was place to go. I am shocked by this unprofessional move. To close business before stated hours and to shut the door in patient face? It doesnt say on Sonora website that place closes at 10:59am, it says 11:00am PERIOD. And to say we close at 10:59 because we have too many patients??? RIDICULOUS!!! If Sonora is professional as I thought, higher level needs to investigate this, because is totally unprofessional.
I was told it was walk-ins ONLY on Saturday via their website and over the phone. However several people were ushered in before everyone else who waited because they had made appointments? Very frustrating and confusing for everyone who walked in and waited over an hour for a blood draw.
What is the purpose of making an appointment when I still have to wait an hour upon arrival?Either youre failing to staff accordingly or you dont respect peoples time.I have a job and took an hour off of work, scheduled my appointment at a location in my neighborhood and have been sitting in the waiting room an hour past my appointment time.Dispicable.
Wish I could give 0 stars. They did not honor my appointment time though I came early and checked in and had all the paperwork. When they finally called - a lady took my blood but to what expense!! She literally dropped my blood on the floor. First she couldnt find the vein and took out the needle too fast which caused all the blood to fall on the floor. Then she stuck a needle in the arm saying she needed more blood. All this time - she was laughing at her mistake of dropping my blood on the floor saying I have juicy veins. She didnt get enough blood in the other arm and proceeded to put a needle again in the first arm to get the remaining blood. All this for a simple blood test. Do not go to this location!! I dont know about others but I had gone to Sonora Quest because of its good recommendations from family - but the people at this location do not know what they are doing and meanwhile make fun of their job by laughing. This whole experience was unprofessional and they are lucky I did not record this entire event because if I did they would definitely be fined for malpractice.
Everyone was very nice from the front desk to the phlebotomist. I arrived early and was in and out within 15 minutes. I was on my way home before my appointment time. Very pleased!
Thank goodness theyre open on Saturday. I needed some bloodwork done and managed to get an appointment today, on a Saturday.I arrived a little early for paperwork, but since my Dr. sent in the request already I only needed to provide my insurance card. I waited five minutes before I was called in & by the time I got home it was still five minutes prior to my appointment time.In & out, easy peasy. The staff is super nice & efficient.I would recommend this place to anyone that needs bloodwork done.
I dont understand the negative reviews. I went on a Saturday morning for walk-ins only and the line was two blocks long at7: 55 am, and they hadnt even opened up yet. And yet, I was out of there by 9:10am. Those people know how to check you in fast and move you in and out of those rooms quickly! I thought they did a great job moving that many people in and out in approximately an hour and 15 minutes! Kudos to that staff.
Pretty bad customer service besides one nice and empathetic employee who sits at the desk on the left. Went over to lab corp and had a much better experience. Dont recommend coming here.
They do not honor appointment times waited 40 minutes past my appointment time and took back two walk ins who arrived after me. Front desk staff was rude and ran my insurance incorrectly after attempting to have them fix their mistake I was told I was wrong and started tapping and pointing at me. Lastly the front desk staff was badmouthing patients and using vulgar language within ear shot of the patients.
Highly recommend Monica!! She was so sweet and a fantastic phlebotomist.I only had to come to Sonora Quest after the phlebotomist at my doctors office stuck me 3 times (very painfully with digging around for a vein), said she got it, then I realized she did not,in fact, get it when she sent me on my way with zero filled vials. On the contrary, I went to this Sonora Quest as a walk-in on a busy Saturday morning. Got called back within 5 minutes of checking in. Monica was my phlebotomist, and I quickly told her that Im a bit of a hard stick, have some anxiety with blood draws, and that Im told I should ask for a pediatric needle. She knew EXACTLY what to do. She calmed me down fantastically, got me a hand warmer to make my veins easier to detect, and got the blood on her first try!!! That is SO rare for me. Highly, highly recommend coming here if youre like me and dont do well with blood draws in any way.
Great customer service. Went there on 06/04/2019 am. The young lady at the front desk, (Sam? I do believe it started with an S and it was a short name) dark hair, checked me in and was very friendly and accomodating. Told her my veins are VERY hard to locate and she said everyone there was very good but she would set me up with Shawn. Shawn did a great job, friendly, and hit the vein right on! I noticed, as I waited in the waiting room how polite the girls were at the front desk with other patients, (I notice these things). Its the second time I have been to this location and both times I give it 5 stars. Keep up the good work, there is nothing worse than going to an office and the people at the front desk are rude or dont acknowledge you. This is a great office. Thank you!
Visited last weekend to get routine labs done for me and my husband. Made appointments ahead of time online and thankfully they are open on Saturdays. However, the way appointments were run was incredibly inefficient. A mother checked in for her young adult son when he was not even present and the staff waited 15 minutes for him to get there instead of taking the next patient on the list. This not only wastes the phlebotomists time but also mine! This location can definitely improve with better organization and management. The phlebotomist was professional and quick so five stars for that. Unfortunately had to take two away because what was supposed to be a 20 minutes in and out to collect blood became over an hour long visit.
I was able to get in without an appointment on a Saturday morning. From start to finish, I spent about a total of 30 minutes there which I think was reasonable for the number of people ahead of me and the fact that I did not have an appointment. The staff were friendly. My lab results were available the following morning, so I was impressed by that. No complaints.
Had an appointment to get blood drawn for my vitality program at work. Went the appointment, and had my blood drawn. Then waited a couple of weeks for the results that never showed up. Quest is saying the appointment was cancelled which is interesting since they clearly had it in their system when I went. Regardless, glad I fasted, took time off work, and drove to this place so they could not get my blood work processed. Also, stop hiding this review. The lack of communication out of this place is awful.
I go to Sonora Quest Labs for all my blood work for all of my doctor visits. Every time I go they treat me with the care and respect that they would their own family members. They are always happy to hear how I am doing and how my progress is going. I appreciate the care and attention they give me to make my blood test appointments as easy as possible. Thank you
Got poked 5 times/ multiple people, I’m 35 165 pounds and they couldn’t find a vein despite digging around scar tissue and atypical veins. Told me to go to Hospital. Mind you, I can’t just walk in with a SQ order to any hospital and have them do the work. My arms are still bruised almost a week later. Only positive was I made an appointment and didn’t wait long.
I arrived at 7am, though worried when I saw 16 other people already in line ahead of me. To my pleasant surprise I was greeted with two helpful and friendly faces, had an excellent phlebotomist, and was in and out in 45 minutes! Thank you all for being efficient and for the great customer service!
The staff at this location is always very friendly and helpful. Making an appointment beforehand is definitely a plus. However, whenever I walk in for a blood draw, I rarely wait anymore than 15 minutes. This location by far is my favorite.
We had a TERRIBLE experience at this location and will never be back. My 2 year old son was referred to Megan from his Allergist with the impression that she was great with kids. Initially she was kind and made him feel comfortable but her lack of skill left us both leaving in tears. Both of his arms were poked. She pulled the needle half way out of his left arm and shoved it back in 4 times until I told her to stop. It was cruel and she should have stopped the moment she couldnt get his draw on the second arm. We drove an hour out of our way to see her specifically and I am very disappointed. I hope she gained knowledge from our experience and does better with her future patients.
Do not take your infant here. They list themselves as a pediatric draw location but they dont have the correct needles or staff to draw babies. My son was poked on one arm, nothing and then they called in the advanced guy, Ed, and he stuck the entire long needle into my sons arm for over 10 seconds and moved it around. My son screamed the whole time and Ed couldnt get one drop of blood out. Worst experience at a lab thats supposed to be dedicated to drawing blood and lists themselves as a place that does babies and kids.Probably the worst part was how Ed refused to even apply a bandage and just walked out leaving his colleagues who are clearly afraid of him to fix the wound. Seriously how does a phlebotomist have an ego?
We arrived with no patients. We checked in and thought will be called in next. Walk in Patients started coming in with a couple patients with appointments. The monitor has been showing us at the top of the waiting list as “Ready” an hour later and we are still waiting.
I had a 2 pm appointment and showed up a little late (14 minutes), I specifically asked if it was okay or if I would be treated as a walk in because I couldn’t leave work for that long... 1 hr later I finally got called back and the guys like you’re a walk-in that’s why it took so long. I would have left but these labs are for an appointment I’m traveling to another state for and it’s the last day I could get them done. What a joke. What’s the point of making appointments?
If I could rate them with less than one star I would feel more comfortable honest with that rating. Hopefully, their other sites arent as disorganized and unprofessional as this site is. Ive seen better high school high cafeteria areas ran more orderly than that place.🙄🤡
Horrible experience. Unfortunately had to get blood work done for my 5 year old, and its very tricky. So we generally are very patient and tolerant for it to be quick and less painful both for the kid and everyone else. First time the guy who came to collect blood was completely incompetent, had no idea how to find blood vessel. Finally, after trying 4 times (on a little kid) he got blood, that idiot couldnt collect blood and the whole thing came out. But this is not the worst part. When we asked front desk to get someone experienced to collect blood, the second time (ofcourse we were agitated), the lady at the desk started shouting back at us that we are scaring her and might attack her. I can excuse the man for his incompetence, but the lady at front desk was out right rude, highly unprofessional and unworthy of any customer service. If you have a misfortune to go to this Sonoran Quest for a kid, please ask for the only professional lady over there called Margaret.
I had a Saturday appointment at another lab only to find that they do not bill insurance. I was a walk in at this Sonora Quest and they were incredible helpful and fast, which was great because I was fasting. Highly recommend this place. The staff was just phenomenal.
I had my blood drawn by Shawn. He was rushing. He stuck me once and it was very painful. He stuck me again and was able to get my blood. He was also very rude. That was a terrible experiece. The worst blood test I’ve ever had. I will not go to this location again.
Good luck trying to schedule an appointment or talking to anybody that works there. Unorganized company. Setting an appointment means nothing you will still wait quite awhile.
I assumed I could have a routine test done with insurance without a doctors order, and I was informed I could not and when cancelled the appointment I was laughed out. Unprofessional and overall disrespectful.(Edit: extra unneeded I in front of when.)
My son had an appointment to draw blood straight from school and hadnt eaten all day, but forgot the paperwork from his dr to bring. This paperwork was printed straight from the drs computer, so its not an original with a signature. He asked if I could email it to them and was told it had to be faxed (who uses a fax anymore). The front desk lady, Meghan, was rude and condescending and extremely unhelpful. Granted he should have brought the paper, but he could have been spared the attitude and maybe been more accommodating. Perhaps its time to get some manners and some modern technology.
Great customer service. Very efficient. I was in and out in 20 minutes. They keep the patients flowing through the process. Check the hours before you go because they close for lunch.
I didnt have an appointment. Everyone was very friendly and helpful from beginning to finish. A+ customer service and care.
I came into the center without an appointment because the lab my doctor sent me to did not do one of the tests he required. The staff welcomed me and immediately fit me into their the schedule
Very nice facility. Its clean, the staff is friendly and helpful and service is quick! Plus they are open Saturdays. I drove past two Sonora Quest labs on the west side to get here and its worth the drive!
Went there and they were closed for a staff meeting at 2:30 mid week. Seems like they could 1. do two staff meetings so they can stay open, 2. Do staff meetings before or after work or 3. Tell Google that they are closed. As it is, they are totally oblivious to their customers.
Twice Ive gotten their direct fax for dr to send orders and twice theyve said they didnt receive itI have verification from drs office showing it was sentVery aggravating
Great experience, but dont expect to get your results fast. They will probably get them toward the end of the quoted 1 - 3 days.
Apparently pregnant moms get the VIP treatment! Staff was friendly and accommodating. I did notice it was busy, so I would probably recommend getting an appointment!
Would not help my father up after he had fallen on hot ground because theyre not allowed to help.Nurses from another medical office helped.
THE IRONWOOD LOCATION AND TELEPHONE SERVICES FOR THIS LOCATION ARE CLOSED TO ALL PATIENTS AND MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS WITHOUT COMMENT. AFTER ABOUT ONE WEEK OF BEING CLOSED THEY FINALLY POSTED A NOTICE ON WHAT APPEARS TO BE A UTILITY BOX NEAR THE SIDEWALK.THEY DO NOT SEEM TO CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS OR ANY ONE ELSE THEY SERVE.GOOD-BYE
Got here 8am and out by 845 as a Saturday walk in. Nice facility (as it should be in Scottsdale). Everyone nice and very efficient.
This location closes at 4 however they lock there doors early. I arrive at 355pm and it was locked they wouldnt answer the door or phone even saw a 5 employees. This location is thew worst and horrible.
Quick, efficient and a wonderful location. A smiling face greeted me at check in and I was in and out in very little time! ♥️
Staff was great! Very friendly and quick! I was a walk in and they took me back within 30 minutes.
Very disorganized... lost my standing order and gave ME attitude about calling the Dr. that ordered it. I had to call my Dr. and have the order resent to them....meanwhile, my apt. time expired....ugggg...they really need to get it together!
Poor communication re wait times. People mill. Understaffed for volume of clients. Go elsewhere.
Waited 30 minutes after appt time. Very disorganized
Absolutely the worst service, rudest reception people. Very disorganized, even after making an appointment.
Got right in, got right out.No appointment, went first thing on a Friday, no problem.
Great staff... kisok for sign in kinda works and sometimes not. Other than that easy in and out
Staff is very friendly and professional very little wait with a appt. Highly recommend
Very friendly staff and quick turn around times for our labs!
This place belongs in Avondale! No offense west side. Not meeting the standards of the east valley
Extremely nice, friendly and efficient staff. If you have to get stuck this is the place to do it
This location the people there are very rude, the front lady was mean to me, really bad service at this location,Ill never go back to this place again👎👎
Be prepared to wait 2+ hours or more as a walk-in!
Terrible. Won’t answer phones not too clean!
Quick and easy. Not so crowded.
These people were the worst.
Fast, efficient and friendly.
Organized, and extremely efficient.
The best - always the best
Slow, disorganized
Long hold times
Great techs
