The medical assistant and front desk were effortlessly friendly and attentive. Very polite and down to earth. The nurse practitioner that seen me today was not the usual one Ive seen before and I was glad. This one actually heard me when I told her how I felt unlike the previous one. Thats the best kind of medical professional that everyone deserves. Ill be going back in a week, hope shes still there.
Hi, I wanted to say that I was very impressed with the gentleman working the front desk yesterday 07/31/24 in the morning. I have observed him before and he is always so kind and considerate to everyone especially when patients call over the phone and I can hear him talking to them. I just thought his manager should know he does such a great job!
Made appointment about 9:45 AM for noon. Easy except my voice was so bad poor guy at desk very patient. Filled out papers on Internet and got there at about 11:40. Place was neat outside and a friendly receptionist took me right away. Very courteous personnel asked what was my reason for coming and in another room recorded vital signs and medications along with chronic disease states. I was running a fever so dont remember all the details but I was impressed with the Doctor who I would rate very highly as to professionalism and demeanor. (I worked in an allied medical field for a lifetime) She described my multiple problems on this occasion, prescribed medication and hopefully the treatment that was ready for me at the pharmacy is successful. For me it was a flawless experience and rare at that. Oops forgot even tested for COVID. A plus for this one folks.
The staff was great! The doctor was great! I arrived early and they took me straight to the treatment area. Everything was very fluid. The doctor listened, did an exam, gave me a diagnosis, order medication, and I was out the door. The biggest thing that I took notice of was the cleanliness of the waiting room. They definitely keep things wiped down which is good with so many diseases going around. Good job! I will certainly be going back to this place for urgentcare.
The front desk, Ricardo, at the Wilmot location was amazingly friendly and helpful, both in services and process. The wait time was so fast, I was in and out and back to work. The doctor was very thorough and made me not only comfortable, but did not keep me waiting. Answered all my questions with concern that made me feel like I mattered. Overall great experience.
My daughter booked my grandson’s appointment. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful, my grandson has a brain development disorder and the nurse was incredibly patient and kind with him and the Dr. was amazing he took the time to try and communicate with my grandson even though he is not verbal and the environment was just so caring! I would definitely recommend this facility.
They were helpful from beginning to end. I went to update my DOT CLD Medical Certificate. I forgot my reading glasses and needed assistance with reading my drivers license number and a couple of things on the form. The staff was glad to help. They were friendly and efficient.
My experience today proves the importance of a properly trained and knowledgeable provider. Front desk staff and medical assistant staff were timely and had great bedside manner, as they have been during my previous experiences at this clinic. Unfortunately the medical provider on staff was not. She spent less than 60 seconds in the room with me. She did not take any medical history. She did not examine me at all. She did not ask questions or rule out red flags. Despite 1 other patient in the entire building, the provider was rushed and neglected her patient. Her plan moving forward was “wait until it gets worse, then go to the ER”. I left disappointed, with 0 answers to my questions, and with more questions than when i came. If i return to this clinic, i will be specifically asking if this provider is working, and will leave if she is.
I booked my appointment on Friday and then came in on the Sunday after. I checked in and waited about 20 minutes despite doing all of my paperwork online and being the only patient in the building at all, no other cars in the parking lot to indicate that theyre busy. The nurse pulls me to the back to get the rundown of my symptoms and ask the preliminary questions. Everything she asked and said seemed to passive aggressively imply I only have allergies and specifically when I was asked if I have a history with bad allergies I was given a glare. I replied saying no, nothing ever severe. When asked again if this is just worse than allergies I said yes and proceeded to describe why. I explained that I dont normally suffer from bloody and smelly sinuses, and before I could finish my description she cuts me off out of disgust and dismissed me from speaking any further about. What kind of nurse gets disgusted by the patient and then shut them down for it? Absolutely asinine. The doctor proceeded to see me after that nurse left me in the room for about 15 minutes and then I was explained to that allergies can be bad and that the color of mucus only determines its age and not whether or not an infection is present, which is a false statement and there has to be tests done to actually be confident in that claim, which no tests were provided to me during my visit. The doctor proceeded to treat me and prescribe me medication for a sinus infection despite telling me thats not what they think it is. I understand the residents of Arizona during this time experience severe allergies, but I am confidently adjusted to high pollen content as Ive been working in a greenhouse for a long time. The humidity and congestion combined is the perfect environment to breed infection in my sinus cavity. It seems as if they wanted to gas light me into believing my abnormally severe symptoms are simply allergies, which is absolutely fine provided they actually attempted to confirm my lack of infection instead of still continue to treat it just in case theyre wrong. I dont go to the doctor to take just in case precautions, I expect to be treated fully and respected. I also expect that medical staff not be disgusted by the conditions my body is in that I am there to get seen for.
The staff was friendly and professional. I didnt feel like I was being rushed or a bother like I feel in an emergency room. They were concerned about what I was going through and listened with the intent of understanding instead of responding. They cared. They gave me the best treatment that I have ever received during an emergency situation! Thanks Nexcare on Pima, Tucson AZ!
Service was excellent! The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and extremely helpful this is my location of choice and I recommend this location to everyone I know that is need of urgent care .Thanks for being so kind and so organized that we were in and out in no time!
The staff at the Pima location were efficient, professional and very kind. I was seen quickly, felt like I was listened to and had a great discussion with the physician. The whole process was pleasant. I would recommend this location.
Front desk person was nice, but once back the nurse was snappy and the nurse practitioner kept acting confused about clearly explained symptoms that are basic things Ive had to explain for 40 years and have not had a confused look and reaction to like hers my whole life. She kept asking the same thing over and over making me repeat myself so I am unsure if she was even present for the short time she saw me. She didnt even give me any answers or possibilities to know if there was anything related to my symptoms. They treat you differently if you say you are on psychiatric medication too, thats when the weird baby talk and mistreatment started when they asked what medication I was on. Having mental health issues doesnt mean a person is unintelligent or a moron. It means they have to deal with something out of their control. Also, my hair is a bit unconventional and they treated me different right away, before the medication question because of that, too, I think. Shout out to the front desk lady, though. Get some rest girl, you deserve it. You were nice. I have a family member who manages and hires at 3 medical facilities (not facilities for my type of symptoms or Id have gone there) and she told me unfortunately medical staff at commercial places like this and not smaller caring places can tend to judge a book by its cover and mistreat based on wrong assumptions of a persons intellect and abilities. Shame these people do that. I wish them well, though, and maybe to crack open some literature to help you open your mind about how to communicate affectively with every human and not make them feel less than by talking to them like they are babies and know nothing. Just because I dont walk and talk exactly how your idea of how people should walk and talk doesnt mean Im less than. No baby talking people. Thats rude. Im 40 and capable. Left needing to care for my self-esteem. Ouch.
Ricardo and the rest of the staff were wonderful. The medical staff were quick with a diagnosis and treatment, very thorough, and I cant imagine a better experience had we gone elsewhere.
Wait time was minimal. Staff up front were very nice. Intake Nurse, and Doctor were knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. I will go back if ever needed. Highly recommend!!!
I was treated with kindness by every staff member I encountered and was able to be seen quickly. The doctor was very knowledgeable and I appreciate the care I received.
Set up appointment for JR High sports physical, Sunday morning early so not crowded at all. Staff was professional and efficient. We were in and out in 45 minutes.
If you need proper care. DON’T go to this Nextcare. I went on 5/17/24. The nurse practitioner here has her own agenda. I had a bad muscle sprain. She flat out refused to give me anything. She wouldn’t prescribe ibuprofen at all. But told me to go home and take 600-800mg of ibuprofen for pain. First off, I didn’t want anything crazy for pain. Just wanted some help to be able to sleep. I just wanted to be treated with respect. A health care provider is supposed to help you. Not make you feel degraded. I will NEVER go back to this location. Her name is Shafer. PAC. If you go and she’s there. Turn around and leave. Total waste of money. No help whatsoever. She has her own agenda and it her way or nothing.
I fell a week ago and got a bad cut on my knee that got infected and I went in with a swollen, red and in-pain knee. I decided to get it looked at around 6:15 pm and got an appointment for 7:40. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a kind, welcoming and professional experience especially after they’ve all had a very long day! A special kuddos to the front desk young man. I most definitely recommend the Pima st. NextCare!
We really like this Urgent Care- they are efficient & reasonably priced for things like sports physicals, routine sick visits for the kids etc. Nice facility and location too. Also an exceptionally friendly front desk staff!
I’ve frequently been to NextCare throughout my life, usually very helpful. This was the most horrible experience from the moment I called to see if they accept my insurance. Receptionist was argumentative when I asked how much a consult would be, she responded with “this is an urgent care, we dont do consults”. Then nurse practitioner Transue was the most unprofessional “medical professional” I’ve ever had contact with. She seemed irritated at my issue and out of touch with modern practices to treat body modification problems. She asked about my allergies and began to be difficult with me because I could not recall one of the medications I had been advised against various times in the past due to an allergy I have that is very common. She offered no help trying to advise me towards or against any medications to treat the issue and would stare at me blankly as if I should tell her what to prescribe. She asked me what kind of reaction I had to the medication in the past and said that isn’t really an allergy when it most definitely is?? She then said I seemed irritated and flat out blamed me for not knowing the name of the sister medication I’d been advised against in the past and went on to say she went to school for a long time to practice medicine and thats all shes trying to do. I left completely appalled and with little to no confidence that I might have just been prescribed something that may cause a reaction and possibly not even help my problem at all. Not sure if they were upset they are working on a holiday or if this is normal for this practice but VERY disappointed considering it is the closest to my home and now I will need to find elsewhere to go. I see all these other similar reviews and it is clear that the white coat shield is strong in effect at this facility. Good for them. I would advise that anyone with concerning symptoms see any other provider elsewhere so their negligence doesn’t cause harm to someone that might actually need proper treatment.
Excellent experience. I was seen promptly close to the appt time. Staff were friendly, attentive and kind. Management of problem was appropriate, expedient, and good. Will use this facility again if needed
I took a family member in for a significant injury and we were treated quickly and expertly by the team. I truly appreciate the compassion, skill, and speed that we were cared for with. The FNP Darlene was especially outstanding.
The front desk guy was great. Johnice Barajas was the doctor who saw me and she was aweful made me feel like i was not human, she obviously did not care about me, she rolled her eyes as i explained the pain i was in and seemed to believe she had done everything she needed by telling me i didn’t have strep, they need new doctors. service was quick at the detriment of the quality
All friendly staff. i needed stiches due to a bicycle injury. it was a laceration above my left eyelid. they thought id be better off going to the emergency room, since it was facial and deep. they do more superficial injury repairs. so im grateful for good advice. so i paid my $75 copay for 2 minutes of care and advice. then spent 5 hrs in the emergency room for around 20 of care doing stches and a CAT scan. long day.
I came in today and the doctor was very negative and asked with an attitude “why are you coughing like that.” Clearly in there because I was sick. Then proceeded too ignore me when I told her what caused the infection. Also very disappointed in the way she assumed I was on street drugs because of my infection.
The guy at the front desk was an impatient jerk, telling me to hurry up with the paperwork on my phone. My phone was being slower than anything and he had no patience with me having to wait in between pages an extra few seconds. With a massive headache and eye pain he couldnt wait.
The nurse practitioner who treated me was very professional and provided an accurate diagnosis, confirmed by the ER at the hospital where she referred me. I was more impressed by her service than that of any of the five hospitalists who treated me. I was in a fog and can’t remember her name, but I am most grateful for her accurate and professional resolution of my situation.
They got me in pretty quick but for them being slow it took the doctor 45 min. Before they came in. Her attitude i didnt care for!! And i felt like she didnt really care about my issue!
Did a home test for Covid and it was positive and came to clinic to see if I could get Paxlovid. Since I am out of town visiting my sister, I didn’t want her family to become sick. I was seen within a reasonable amount of time, the staff was friendly and helpful.
Well the doctor tried to put her finger on what was going on with my daughters breakout, Sadly it didnt resolve the issue so far. (Update) Thankfully her face cleared up and is back to normal. Thank you for helping her.
Absolutely the Worst! Did not take my temperature, did not run any labs, covid test was a complete joke, the nurse swobbed my nostrils on the very outer edges... I was sent on my way and told I had a viral infection. When I went back to express concern the receptionist was beyond dismissive.I went home.. was much worse .. went to another location come to find I have Pneumonia. Thank you NextCare. I wonder if the care was so poor because I walked in right before closing? With an appointment?
It was my first time visiting NextCare. The staff there were very friendly and caring, and got my daughters in and out with care. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone, and will definitely return if needed to.
My favorite place to receive urgent care. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the wait times are very minimal. Their location is conveniently located and the facility is very well kept. I definitely recommend them for your urgent care needs.
Location at Pima did an amazing job . Front desk Processed me expeditiously, the MA was also great . The FNP was also great . I felt taken care of and they all listen so to me . I’ll come back here even though it’s 20 min drive
If I could give the provider in this place 0 stars I would she makes you feel so bad about yourself and that your needs in that moment are not valid. I asked if I could be excused from work for 3 days because I am not feeling well at all and she literally told me “Well you need to work do you not plan on working? I am giving you medicine so you should be better by tomorrow”. Like excuse me how do you know how I am feeling I am telling you I feel weak and can’t be at work and you only want to excuse me for today like what. Anyway the front desk lady is super kind and hardworking props to her for working with a provider like that.
I saw Dr Shaffer today for sinus/respiratory infection. She refused to prescribe me some type of medication to get through this illness and said I have a “cold”, going on day six. She didn’t even check my nose for sinus infection which the pain I am in I know this “cold” is turning into infection. I saw Dr Shaeffer in Dec 2023 and the same happened which led me to pay another copay the following day with a different doctor who prescribed me medication so I could get back to work. Here I am forking out another copay to see a doctor because Dr Shaeffer “doesn’t prescribe medications unless their cold lasts 3 weeks”. This is what she told me! I am a single parent and cannot afford to be sick for 3 weeks. This is a terrible urgent care and I encourage people to see anybody other than Dr Shaeffer. She got 50 dollars to tell me I have a cold. I desperately need relief, some type of antibiotic or steroid as I told her my husband has the same exact illness and she refused.
As always this was a quick, quiet, and very helpful visit. Everyone is professional and very friendly but they also always have you in and out. This is my go-to urgent care when we need it!!
Nice friendly, helpful staff.(Update 7/10/2024)1 year later and the staff are still very helpful and pleasant, the Dr., very explanatory as to what she is doing and why she has prescribed what she has.Easy to get to, easy check in system, and hardly ever a wait.Walked in, checked in, might have waited 3 minutes and was treated with respect.Saw Dr, had test and xrays done, layed out a care plan. All with friendliness, and care.If asked I would recommend this provider for urgent needs.
I have been to this one before and I have never had as good of an experience as I did last night. The lady at the front is always so sweet and so is the nurse that takes you back. It’s always the doctors that rush us or don’t seem to cared but this last time it was completely different. She tried to relate, she was so nice, she took her time to understand and I’m very thankful because I was not feeling well but that made me feel so much better and the wait went by quick.
Everyone is very nice. My appointment was at 7 but I got there early, about 5:15. I was out of there out of there by 6:15. Thank you so much 😊
My experience in Next Care was really good. people in front desk always smile and been really nice and help. Medical assistant in the back they really professional and always help and they know how to make patients happy. They love to help people. Thank you for everything they do
If I could put no stars I would. The front desk and assistant was nice. The woman doctor told me as soon as she walked in, she doesnt do anything but ibuprofen for a broken in half tooth with the nerve exposed. I explained i havent been able to eat or sleep for days due to the pain. Im no drug seeker, I tend to try to stay away from narcotics but I am to the point of desperation due to exhaustion and weakness. She was rude and didnt give me a chance to speak without assuming. Ive been taking Tylenol and ibuprofen for days with no relief and I was treated like an addict
The person at the front desk was very helpful and informative. The provider was nice and fast. The wait wasnt long at all.
Very nice and caring, I came in because I got a toenail ripped off and they were gentle and so caring and it was one of best experiences there, Ive gone there a bunch and I always have a good experiences there
Absolutely amazing! Exceptional customer service! The consideration, the care, the patience I received from the moment I stepped in the door to the time I left was phenomenal! I felt respected nd valued.Shannon, Dr Ahumada nd Hannah are simply divine! Thank you so much for taking care of me
Got in very quickly and staff was friendly and very accommodating which helps, since I’m deaf also. My two appts with others just handed me a bandaid for two days. These gals acted like medical pros
Love that I can make an online appointment and fill out paperwork online. The front desk is courteous, the nurses are efficient and providers are focused. Everything I want to get in and out. Thank you!
Very kind and efficient staff! Appreciated how quick and thorough my visit was. All staff was extremely kind front desk, MA and NP. Thank you
NextCare made it easy. Once my account was in place, making an appointment was quick and convenient, plus I felt the care provider, Alicia, made every effort to understand why I was there and offer treatment options.
The staff were so kind and friendly. As a walk-in, I was seen in a reasonable amount of time.
The front desk lady was super woman, handling her bussiness. I am highly upset. As a nurse when someone comes in with lower ABD pain, I know damn well a UA should have been done. I asked 2 times and was brushed off. Now the vaginal swab came back negative after I said I was not active, know Im being told to come back in a do a UA. WTH is wrong with u people in Tucson? Know Im still here in pain and was told to come in on a Saturday to do the UA. I came in Tuesday and all of these test should have been done.
Front desk associate was helpful & friendly. Dr wasnt that friendly but did get me in & out quick.
Very friendly staff! Was in and out in just a few minutes. Will definitely choose again if needed.
My Thursday and Saturday visits both doctors diagnoses was a middle ear infection. I went to the VA ED the following Thursday and discovered that I had an external ear infection, so I lost a week of therapy.
Front desk and nurse were nice..doctor acted like she could care less.....it was sad and frustrating. She did nothing to help me. She never even bothered to listen to my lungs. The 2 stars are not for her but her staff.
The receptionist was super efficient and friendly. The nurse practitioner was thorough, informative, kind and quick. I would highly recommend this clinic to others.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, go anywhere else. The doctor had a nasty attitude and didnt seem to know why I was there, and when I tried to explain, I was told she didnt have time to listen to my long story (which would have taken less than a minute to explain and answered most of her questions, speeding up the visit actually). Then she proceeded to spend most of my
Front desk lady was nice, nurses weee nice, the doctor lady is a frigging JOKE! My moms shaking with shock and cold they have NO blankets at all doctors eating here f’ing lunch while my moms in so much pain from her dislocated shoulder, finally gets her a shot for pain then sits and eats her fing lunch while my mom sits in pain waiting for X-rays. Not saying she can’t take lunch but MAYBE NOT WHEN SOMEONE IS IN PAIN AND NEEDS YOUR HELP!!?!? Like what the h e l l.This lady shouldnt be a doctor she’s desensitized to the point she doesn’t have any compassion for anyone, so sad the people that have to see her for care. Our country is broken. 10 hour wait in the ER or 2-3 hours in here for sh i t care. And we have insurance. Then I made a comment about how it wasn’t her fault about the state of healthcare in the country huts it’s frustrating and she gave me some extreme attitude and was overly defensive . God help this lady.
I felt insulted by the np that treated me. She accused me of living on the streets. That nurse practitioner needs to retake courses on bedside manners.
Everyone was very nice and professional. I got lucky no wait time. In and out in 20 minutes. Will definitely go back.
After 5 days of high fever and coughing, they said her ‘lungs sounded good.’ Completely missed her diagnosis of pneumonia.
Receptionist & pct were very nice. Practioner was very quick & not very thorough seemed like she was being rushed & in a hurry.
With no appointment I was seen in a reasonable amount of time. Once in the exam room I was diagnosed quickly and given a referral to TMC Emergence.
I wasted my time, energy, and gas coming here. The nurse had the compassion of a pile of rocks. She literally came in the room, put her hand on my neck for 5 seconds, sighed, and told me that she could do nothing for me. She was acting as if I was interrupting her nap time, and could barely keep her eyes open. Im still in pain 12 hours later. Thanks for nothing.
This place is the best Ive been there twice now this month for two different things they are thorough Pleasant and very fast in and out would recommend this place to anybody
Came in with a hematoma on my ear from Jiu Jitsu and told them so much. Dr came in and asked what brings me in, so I said I have a hematoma on my ear. I kid you not, she asked, whats a hematoma? I told her and she looked briefly and said there was nothing to drain. I went home and drained it myself. Will never go back and dont recommend anyone ever go here.Photo of the juices I drained attached
Excellent care by Dr William StrawVery professional and knowledgeable in my health concerns.Helping me fully understand taking his time and explaining, My test results. Bringing comfort to my mind That I did not have any kind of Serious illness. Results everything was Negative.I appreciate Dr.Staws , Time Professionalism and Patience with me.The staff is wonderful.I would recommendNext Care Pima ,To anyone seeking Urgent care For their health.I give them 💯%satisfaction in care.Thank youDr. WILLIAM STEW
Great people and place but I waiting an hour and a half to be told I have to go to another location for an x ray. They told me the next place could get me in quickly but I am sitting here waiting - hopefully not to long. Other then that its clean and the staff is helpful 👌🙂**update**I was able to get my X Ray. I am in quite a bit of pain and have been for a while. Due to a recent surgery I am unable to take anti inflammatory medications. I wasnt given any other medications or creams that might help while I wait.Meanwhile, I got my x ray and was out of the second location by 1 pm. I was told I would get a call within and hour to hour and a half with my results. I was given the disc of my images which was great, but that call never came. I am still in severe pain. I mean I cant even stand to make a meal for my family. I have to walk on the front of my foot at all times which is making my hips and back also hurt terribly.I am not sure what I am supposed to do. I downloaded the app to see if I could view my results and there is no x rays in there. Tylonal really isnt helping, hot and cold compresses are also not working. There has to be something really wrong to be in this kind of pain. I am pretty good with pain too. I had my daughter with no epidural. Not really sure where to go from here. Hoping someone reaches out and can either help me or get me a referral to someone that can help me.🙏
I was there yesterday around 430 ish with a pulled muscle in my lower back and Im pretty sure with a sinus infection did give me anything for a sinus infection just did a test for covid and strep and I knew I didnt have either one of those she just wasnt listening to me and she didnt want to give me a doctors excuse either but wanted me to go to work on muscle relaxers and no I have had 5 kids and they even say not to work if you have taking this or drive!! So I went to anther urgent care and oh guess what I have a sinus infection...I really feel like the first urgent care I went to she was white and is the type that think black people can just take all the pain in the world I will never be Goin back to this one on pima and wilmot again especially if there is a white doctor never again
Everyone at the location was wonderful, except Ricardo. Multiple patients in the waiting room were complaining about him, and rightfully so. His behavior was unprofessional to say the least. He very much enjoys having power over anyone who walked in. He made people feel as though they were a nuisance and disrupting his job. Perhaps he was having a bad day, but I hope whoever reads this can help him to treat people better , especially those coming in to seek treatment.
Receptionist was very polite and accommodating. Got in quickly and doctor was very thorough .
The Doctor I saw wonderful. She made me feel a lot better about a lot of things--things that were going on in my life that were totally unrelated to why I was there but were contributing to my anxiety. She was amazing.
Checking was easy and care was on par. I appreciated the front desk’s friendliness and the doc’s service.
Great experience at the NextCare Urgent Care on Pima St. in Tucson. Friendly staff and quick service. I walked in without an appt. and was in and out within an hour. I was very impressed and grateful. Highly recommend.
Your urgent care was unable to meet my needs by providing x-rays, so I went to a different urgent care facility.
Never been there before. I did a walk in and they got me it relatively quickly.
Have to give a star to give a review, gentleman at the front desk was pedestrian at best but nice enough. Nurse was excellent and very understanding, the medical examiner however was dismissive and rude (Shaeffer). Went in for a DOT exam and came out feeling as though Id been cheated out of my 95 dollars, if you get her(Shaeffer) as an examiner turn and leave
Quick, courteous care, on phone and in facility. 2 stars deducted because the NP I saw incorrectly believed that Paxlovid for an active COVID infection can only be prescribed if symptoms are no more than 48 hours old. I told her the prescribing guideline is within 5 days of symptoms. She said product insert says 48 hours. It actually says “within 5 days.” The wrong understanding by her could lead to denying a prescription for treatment of a very serious illness.
Got in quick... only issue was the xray refusal. They burned it to a CD and when we arrived at TOC, the disc was empty... had to take another xray...
1st VISIT : 5.1.24, THIS NEXTCARE “DOCTOR” CANNOT PROVIDE THE CORRECT ANTI BIOTIC, I GAVE THEIR DR MY PREVIOUS PRESCRIPTION BOTTLE WHICH STOPPED THE INFECTION WITHIN ONE DAY, ( IT WAS AMOX-CLAV 875-125MG) NEXTCARE’s DR PRESCRIBEDAMOXICILLIN 500 Mg, IT DID NOT RECTIFY INFECTION, I WAITED 3 DAYS & CALLED 5/4. At 8:AM, ( they had to look up record & promised to call right back. I had to call them at 10:AMRECEPTIONIST INFORMED ME THEY CANNOTPRESCRIBE CORRECT ANTI BIOTIC,AND I MUST GO TO A HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM.THIS MUST NOT BE AN ETHICAL DR.MAYBE IT WOULD PUT AN ERROR INTO DR’sRECORD FOR INCORRECT RXI WOULD NEVER ENDORSE A PHYSICIAN NOR A MEDICAL CLINIC WHO CANNOT CORRECT AN ERROFI WILL MAKE A FORMSL COMPLAINT
Literally did nothing, didnt ask about symptoms or what happened, and instead told me I should make an appointment with a real doctors office.
Refuse to see my 7 year old son at 7 o’clock when they close at 8. The man working front desk was very rude!
Fast check in!! Short wait 👍 Prompt examination!!! And Evaluation!! ✍️ shot was painless!! Thx!! ☺️
Everyone at this location was wonderful. Friendly, kind, and fast service.
10:20 am and it was Quiet. The resptionist was efficient. Nurse assistant was kind and personable. The Doctor was nice and listened to my experience and understood my return visit. I was in and out quickly.Thats for your help.Carl
Every staff member was friendly, conversational, and helpful. I had an excellent experience. Although I came because I was sick, the compassion of the staff made me feel better while I was there.
Front receptionist, Great! She made the check in and initial paperwork a smooth transition. 5 Stars all by herself.Technician took me back and did vitals. The actual Nurse was trash and thats being nice. I went in for x-rays, that paid for out of pocket. She entered the room, kept her distance (both masked) and was reluctant to engage. Felt more like a dismissive interrogation when she inquired about my request for x-rays only to DECLINE what I paid for. Body language and demeanor were borderline disrespectful. I returned to the lobby and requested a refund. Amazing receptionist granted my request.I cancelled the benefit program that I prepaid 3 months in advance, earlier that morning. After this experience and wasted 90 minutes, I will never return to that place of business. Its 2023! DO YOUR JOB!No Stars if it was an option
Got right in and was treated fast. Only took about 30 minutes. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
I received immediate care and staff was very efficient. However, it is now four hours later and I am still waiting on this Urgent Care center to send the prescription to the Walgreens pharmacy. I called to check status and my call immediately goes to voice mail and I have also tried to call your national number and again no one answered call. This is very frustrating.
Very efficient! Really love the checkin process from home and being able to wait at home. The ability to make an appointment is great. It cuts down lobby wait time and exposure to other illnesses. The staff is lovely. Super friendly and pleasant. Thank you for putting in the work to turn around what hasn’t always been a pleasant experience, it really shows. Thanks for keeping us healthy and safe, you are essential. If I had to name an area to improve, I’m curious if there is any way to shorten the wait time once in a room? While I’d rather be in the room than the waiting room it feels a little long. But over such a pleasant experience for unpleasant circumstances.
The front desk staff is amazing but the doctor ruined the entire experience. Waited an hour to just be sent home with nothing. No help. Was told that “you look fine” refused to do an X-ray on my back. Told me to call my doctor tomorrow. May not be an emergency to her but I can’t do much of anything without my husbands help. Guess if you’re in pain you should be vocalizing it every moment you open your mouth or you’re not taken seriously. The doctor was clearly annoyed and very dismissive of my concerns.
Front desk staff was friendly and efficient as well as employee that took vitals. She was probably the med tech - very friendly. Apart from the initial startup from our appointment all else was a very terrible experience. The next tech that came in to do the swab was very unfriendly and lacked knowledge of instruction. The NP or doctor was uninformative and did not exam my daughter well. We waited at least 45minutes in the room and NP only spent 5 minutes with us. On our way out they were speaking talking badly of another client. I would definitely not recommend this location to any one!
I went to Urgent Care, with an injury, later in the evening. Everyone was helpful and caring.
The NextCare on Pima was fasssst. They got me in quickly and Ricardo, the fun desk associate was SO helpful and kind. The nurses were so efficient and the doctor was too. I highly recommend it.
The worst experience ever my son didn’t get a Dr not to get him excused from work for two days when an emergency happened out of no where didn’t wanna spend hours at emergency room and getting poked for no reason
I will never be going back to this location, the nurse was absolutely lovely but the doctor (dr Schaefer) wouldn’t even listen to my symptoms after asking she just kept interrupting and then she told me goodbye and to go into the front. Then they told me I owed 130 dollars for a single strep throat test even though I’ve paid my deductibles and when I told her to call my insurance she just said “I’m not going to charge you” so why did you try to charge me to begin with? And let’s make one more thing clear, I am a strep carrier meaning I cannot test negative on a strep test because I always have the bacteria for strep, so tell me how they told me I got a negative strep result? This tells me they didn’t even do anything and yet they still gave me strep throat medicine even though I “tested negative”
This was my first time to any urgent care center, yesterday afternoon, and I was overall pleased with my visit at NextCare Urgent Care. The wait time was reasonable, and my triage nurse, Ricardo S., has the best bedside manner. He gets 5 STARS. As a 1st timer and someone who does not normally take RXs, with my stuffy head and not feeling well, I tried to ask the right questions to the front desk girl when checking out, but I think she was getting annoyed because I kept asking her for the clarification so I understood how many prescriptions I was getting.Shes snapped back with, The pharmacist will tell you what to do with them. After going straight to the pharmacy and picking up my prescriptions, then getting home and reading the directions, I found in the patient care notes from the doctor, that I was supposed to also get an inhaler. So, I call back NextCare customer service to find out I was supposed to get four prescriptions not just three.Maybe she was busy, but the front desk girl overlooked one of my prescriptions, instead of paying attention to my questions about the number of prescriptions and what they were and dismissing me so quickly and referring me to the pharmacy, she could have reviewed the doctors notes and seen she had missed the Rx for the inhaler and I wouldnt have a second trip to the pharmacy today.Again, overall a good experience. The Doctor visit was simple and Dr. Eric was polite and efficient with the exam. Would have been nice to have all the prescriptions here, so I could have a full day of resting. Going to pick up the Rx, now, and then back to bed rest.Thank you.
Had been experiencing respiratory issues for about two weeks - nasty cough, congestion, etc. Went to Next Care urgent care to get some answers and relief. Was not given any testing to check for flu or RSV (told they only tested children, but I am over 60 so it would also be warranted), just told to drink more water, take vitamin C and get a humidifier. All good advice, but didn’t offer any acute relief. After another week of suffering through, I visited my PCP who immediately did testing and determined I had RSV and prescribed some meds for my cough, even sent me to get a chest xray to rule out Pneumonia. Would have thought that could have been done at the urgent care. Feel like I wasted my time and money and could have started feeling better much sooner. Learned my lesson.
The front desk staff is amazing and so is the Medical assistant. Unfortunately this visit which is an isolated situation from all other visits, the issue I have is with the provider. She completely glossed over checking over my son, didnt bother to listen to his chest and breathing, hes been horribly congested and has had a high fever for the last few days ( which is why I brought him to Urgent Care to begin with) and I only noticed her look in one of his ears, told me to keep him home from school but didnt offer a doctors note. Had absolutely no personality when interacting with my son.Im very disappointed in the level of care. I have come to this urgent care for years and have never run into an issue until today. For parents, when we are worried about the well being of our kids during times of illness, we want top notch care for them. It makes me sad to have to give this location a low rating for this visit as the other staff (apart from provider) are amazing and caring people. I hope in the future they pick providers who want to reassure their patients and or concerned parents that they are providing impeccable care.🚨 Update 🚨after much luck in being able to been seen quickly and a second opinion from our doctor. It turns out my son has pneumonia. We could have gotten faster treatment had the provider actually cared to do her job in assessing him and listening to his lungs like she was supposed too. This is pure negligence and malpractice on her part and had it been someone else under her care they most likely would have been taking their child or themselves to the hospital with a more severe form of pneumonia. Absolutely horrifying that someone like this is allowed to provide care to tell you to just go home and rest and take fluids and youll be ok, but havent even provided necessary care.
Doctor was a bad listener and dismissive of my observations of my own health history. Two things I wish doctors would do:1. Ask the patient what is your health history regarding this?2. Believe that the phrase I have pain does NOT mean I want to kick-start a drug habit. After begging I got some pain killers with a, this one time only. To this I say, you must be a very very busy doctor, good for you!
This place is right in so many aspects I will be a follow-up customer for sure. From being technology sound to having a unbelievably relatable staff, I felt like I was in good hands of someone who understands. Feeling better within a couple of hours!
The PA was professional and has great beside manner. She listen to my symptoms and treated me effectively.
I went to the location on Pima. I scheduled an appointment because I had been suffering from lower back pain on a 6-8 scale and cramping that was periodically, but that had been going on all day. They asked for a urine sample so I gave them one. The MA told me to go back in the room and in less than 2 minutes Dr. Shaeffer came in and stated that my urine looked normal. I was confused given the vague results of the sample (if they even tested the sample). The Dr. was not helpful at all didn’t explain anything that could be causing my symptoms or any recommendations as to what I should do next. She just stared at me and asked me if I was going to work today. As I answered that I had just got off work, I ended up even more confused when she asked me what was my occupation. I have no idea why she even asked me any of this irrelevant questions. I literally had to ask her if I should go to the hospital if this did not go away or if it worsen. The Dr. said to go see my primary doctor and to take some ibuprofen and dismissed me. This was so frustrating. I felt that she was careless and that she obviously did not put any effort into trying to help or at least give me her point of view as a doctor. As I’m writing this review I still don’t know if she tested the sample of the urine or if she just looked at it. POV don’t be a doctor if you are not passionate about helping others.
Check-in was easy and fast, triage was easy and fast...All the nurses and medical people had smiles on their faces, because they were HAPPY to be there.....I was cared for by Marina, a VERY special woman, with second-to-none bedside manners, who took care of my every need and some I didnt even have to ask for. I was also seen by another medical professional, Mrs. Blume, who was efficient, fast, kind....ETC. I would definitely recommend anybody who has any problems, medically, to seek care through NextCare Urgent Care.
The reception was =comfortable and handled wellShort waiting time. Nurse was experienced and helpful. Dr was thorough and made me feel heard and take care of. I am glad I went to this facility and didn’t wait longer to find out I’ll be ok!
I went there because I had been experiencing an ear infection. I was prescribed drops by another doctor but I still was experiencing that awful “full” feeling in my ear and my hearing was totally muffled in my left ear. I went in to get some help. The front desk was very nice but the nurse practitioner was utterly AWFUL. Right off the bat she had a horrible manner. “How do you know you have an ear infection?” Well my ears were perfectly fine and now I can’t hear out of one ear and it feels like there’s a bunch of fluid on there. She rolls her eyes and huffs, looks in my ears and says “well I don’t know what to tell you but your ear drums are pristine so you obviously don’t have an infection” okay…so there’s still something wrong though. She says “well if you want I can prescribe you a steroid but it probably won’t work”. I was polite through our interaction and realized she is just not going to help me so I might as well just leave. So I said okay thank you and she just turned around and left didn’t even say bye or wrap up or anything. As soon as I left I was able to get a last minute appointment with my normal doc (she was booked before) and she instantly knew what was wrong. Even though there was no active infection my ear tubes were still inflamed and that full feeling was from fluid in my ear. She set me up with a couple of prescriptions and I was back to normal within a week.I understand people have bad days. BUT! I also work in the medical field and I would NEVER treat a patient the way she treated me even if I am having the worst day ever. I used to come to next care for my minor health care issues, now because of her I will never come to any next care again and I tell everyone I know not to bother with this location either.
Very pleasant and personable. Listened to what symptoms I had.
ASK IF THEY HAVE WORKING X-RAY before booking. An hour wait and THEN had to go to a different clinic to actually get an xray. Won’t be back at this company, what a waste of time and money.
We had an urgent matter, and we made our way to the NextCare in our neighborhood. Our provider was nice and helpful, as were her nurses and front desk checkin. We were helped right away! That same service may have taken hours to get at an ER! Im so thankful for the great service and experience. I recommend NextCare and wouldnt hesitate to make return visits if I needed to.
Front staff was fast and had awsome customer service went fast doc was awsome
I saw Audrey Shaeffer on 07/31/2023. I had to interrupt this woman from interrupting me (talking over me, ) to try and tell her what is causing me pain. She seemed put off by this that I called her out on her lack of listening/people skills.Very standoffish/ cold.Told me it was my choice to hang out for 15 minutes(incase the Kenalog shot has a bad effect )after 10 minutes I decided to leave and I just asked her on my way out how long it takes for it to start working and she refused to answer and said I can answer all your questions if you wait 15 minutes. She gave me a prescription for prednisone and once the prescription was up, after a week / (normally shoulder injuries last at least a month )I called Frys pharmacy to get it re-prescribed and they called her and she did not respond to re-prescribing me the prescription or tell me to come in for another visit. She completely ignored it .I have never met such an ungracious, unprofessional doctor lacking in empathy in my life .I might add, she might want to try using a comb or a round brush during work hours .She looked completely disheveled/ homeless.
Every single person was so kind and friendly! Even with an appt there was a little wait but not bad and cannot be helped if you ask me. The fact that everyone was so compassionate and friendly made up for the wait. The doctor did a great job on the procedure I needed and was also so very kind.
This location has always treated me with respect and kindness. They seem to genuinely want to help me when I need it. Today I really appreciated the doctors being blunt with me and understanding me well.
Sad, because Ive been here before.Cold attitudes with 3 of 3 of the admitting employees.PA stood about 8 feet from me and gave me little info\advice. Then informed me that there was wasnt an xray machine available and tech was at another location with the xray unit. Had to come back again for an xray which is challenging when I can barely walk.
We made an appointment, showed up early, waited two hours and still didnt get seen. When we asked the situation, the nurse told us that our appointment was a window and that when 10 walk-ins show up, our window will get moved. I told her that there were literally only 3 people in the waiting area when we arrived. She basically said oh well, were moving as fast as we can. I mean, seriously, if I knew I would get seen faster as a walk-in, I wouldnt have made an appointment. Also, we were told that the x-ray tech wasnt there today and theyd still have to send us off-site for that. So basically they expected us to wait several hours to be seen with an appointment, and still need to go off-site for x-rays just to wait somewhere else. Yeah, hard pass. I had to go pick up my son and couldnt continue to wait so now I have to take her back to a new facility later tonight. Pretty much the worst experience ever.
The staff was very polite and the doctor was wonderful. It was a two-hour wait even with an appointment but it is cold and flu season. My 3-year-old granddaughter worked well with the doctor on duty. He knew how to work with babies and toddlers. Thank you
Worth the wait for peace of mind. Yes it is busy for this time of year and season so please be patient. The lady at the front desk managing every question, paperwork and all details associated was a rock star! I would work with her any day! Tough, kind and patient! She was resilient! Kudos to her and the no nonsense PA-C triaging and managing as best as they can. Sincerely! M
We went to two places before we ended up here and the first places basically just couldn’t help us. We were at least able to get my husband RXs for his infection here. But most importantly, they were nice and kind which we didn’t get before at the other locations. The gentleman at the front desk. Ricardo, was just so pleasant and nice change of pace of dealing with. It wasn’t even like dealing with someone lol because he wasn’t. He was very helpful, patient and kind. The whole thing was just much more pleasant than we got at the other locations and we were in and out almost as fast. Only this time, at least with some thing with that would help my husband with his infection.
Today I went in, the appt was at 10am..I was at home at 11:14am..not only they worked fast, the FNP, Doctor Jennifer Neiss was professional, nice and listen to what I was saying. I rarely go to doctors..of me being stubborn..but I would definitely come to this NextCare on Pima just because she listened to what I was saying about my pains. The lady in the front desk also had a badass keyboard. Thank you NextCare.
Front desk person was awesome!!!! The MA not so...much pretty rude. Doctor OK I suppose.
The wait wasnt long and the staff was nice. I gave it three stars initially, but that was due to me misunderstanding my insurance coverage.
Would recommend this place. Check in on line was easy. Receptionist was friendly and doctor spent a good amount of time with me. Only negative was wait was a little long. Acceptable because of holiday weekend and being shot staffed due to illness. Doctor was awesome and listened to concerns
First for the good stuff: the front desk ladies were wonderful. They were kind and helpful to me and my son and were quick to get us through all the forms and necessary things we needed to get through. Now for a review of the reason why you come to an urgent care: the DO who came in was super rude and dismissive. No bedside manners and clearly no experience working with children. After asking a few questions and doing a very quick assessment of my son, she said that we should watch his symptoms and go to the ER if they get worse. Well, duh. No tests run, no advice on symptom management, no medication. Just an annoyed practitioner, providing a zero-value visit. If youre needing help, dont go here.
Most every other time we have used this next care weve had a good experience given the circumstances. This time was not the same. Even though we had an appointment and expected the symptoms. It took over an hour to see the nurse practitioner. My wife was brought back to the room quickly, but the nurse practitioner took almost an hour to see her. Then their bed side matter was poor. My wife doesnt raise her voice or anything you might expect from someone. She works in the medical field so she tries to be polite and concise with her answers. The nurse was short temper and quick to dismiss my wife. They also refuse to believe my wife after asking a question. We will use next care again but not that nurse practitioner for sure.
Shannon was absolutely amazing with my daughter. My daughter is three and as we all know an urgent care is not an easy place for children. Shannon made her feel so comfortable and she actually had fun during the whole process. Coloring at the kid station and Shannon turned on a movie for her and even played peek a boo with her. I will definitely drive across town to go to this location!!!!!
Very nice and competent staff and doctor. We had a bit of a wait because many sick young children came in. It was super great that they took them first because we did not need immediate care. They prioritized as they should have. This is my go-to place!
Went to the pima and wilmot location. Very friendly and helpful clerical staff. The doc was great with my 3 year old. We were in and out quickly. The doc was knowledgeable and kind. Overall very satisfied. This was my second great experience there. I will drive out of the way to book an apt. at this location.
Audrey Shaeffer was the worst experience I have ever had she was very rude I left the clinic in tears
The staff are all very nice and thoughtful as well as kind and courteous and friendly. Ive always liked this urgent care; its one of two I will go to now. The Doctors are competent and very knowledgeable and so nice. Dr. Hoover was wonderful and made me feel at ease, and answered all of my questions patiently and even had a sense of humor after a very long and busy day. I highly recommend this urgent Care office. 🙂The last posting I did was for the Next Care on Oracle in Tucson. The people at Next Care on Pima and Wilmot are just as wonderful. Very kind and friendly and courteous and knowledgeable. They will send your specimens out in case you need that service. This time I had a bladder infection which they will send to a lab to be checked to make sure I do have an infection. In the meantime they ordered the medications for me, one being for pain. I also really recommend this office. Ive also noticed that wait times here arent usually too bad. Today happened to be a really good day where there was only a few minutes of waiting time. You can make appointments online for yourself but today there were none available. We walked in but it was very quick anyway. This is an update and in fact I forgot to even post this. The latest experience was great too which was yesterday. Only a few minutes waiting and there was only one person ahead of us and no one else was in the waiting room until a little bit after we got there. The doctors assistant whose name I forgot, and Dr Shaeffer were both very nice.
The provider was a little rude but the front desk lady was absolutely amazing
Very good experience. Seen quickly, and treated. I would go back if I needed to.
Ive always gone to this Nextcare Urgent Care. Ive only came across very few Drs I didnt like. But 9 times out of 10 they really do care. I dont remember my Drs name yesterday. I was really out of it from being sick. But she was really sweet and caring about the way I was feeling, and even explained why she was giving me the medication she was prescribing and why no steroid. Which I was grateful about her knowledge 😊😊
I went to Nextcare For care after a cold that seemed to be persistent and I was in the clinic briefly got checked, my prescriptions sent to my pharmacy and within a day, I could sleep because I feel better. Im so glad I went.
The staff is attentive, and compassionate. The online process is easy to navigate, and also convenient.
Exceptional service, 100% efficient and friendly. The staff were kind and attentive. My only issue was the Dr. wasnt explanatory, not a great listener, and I was hoping for more information on how to care for my non-severe injury. When I asked for guidance, the Dr. was brief and instead referred me to my PCP. Not excellent service from her specifically, but she did her job, and everyone else was phenomenal. Update: after seeing the owners response, I would like to point out the Dr. did not give me a treatment plan, no timeline for when I can expect healing, no timeline for the swelling to abate, zero instructions for care of my injuries. That is disappointing because after paying for a visit, I still have to Google how to care for my injuries. A review for patient care should be established specifically for Dr. Shaffer.
On our insurance company’s reference, we contacted NextCare for treatment of a wound resulting from a fall. NextCare staff were conscientious and professional during our intake. The nursing assistant put me at ease and helpfully readied my wound for their providers (Angela) exam. Her advice was reassuring. I feel that I received excellent care without having to wait to be seen for more than 15 minutes.
I wish I could give 0 stars! The nurse and provider were HORRENDOUS! I will never be back. Please if youre actually sick and in need of help, seek help elsewhere!! Treated as a leper in the time of Covid is disgusting. Do NOT work in the medical field if you do not want to interact with SICK people!!!
Check in process with front desk personnel went well. wait time not too bad. medical assistant was very polite. actual medical staff person (think it was MD, maybe an NP) not such a great experience - not very responsive to my questions and I felt like questions annoyed her and she couldnt wait to be out of the exam room.
The front desk woman was very nice, she had a tattoo on her right rist/arm area. Very friendly and quickly got us taken care of. Everyone else was nice as well and we were in and out pretty quickly, we did schedule an online appointment so that was great!
Scheduling was super easy, wait time is minimal and staff was great!
My spouse and I visited this clinic before and had a wonderful experience. Then we came back and had a terrible experience. The first time, we checked in ahead of time online and when we arrived the staff were very welcoming, taking us back right away. This time, the staff told us to go wait outside and fill out paperwork, while my spouse had just had a surgery three days prior, could barely walk, and was clearly not feeling well. We waited for fifteen minutes outside, (with absolutely no one sitting in the lobby) then we were called and told to walk to the other side of the building to enter into a secondary entrance. My spouse could barely walk! This experience was awful, and could not be more different than our first visit. We felt like the staff couldnt care less.
Efficient clean quick In and out. Great experience
In and out fast. Thankfully nothing broken after my cat tripped me & I fell on his cat tree. Then fell sideways & bruised right side of my body.Staff friendly got me out fast.
Went to this location yesterday at 1:30 In PM.. it was a wonderful experience. Yes, they were busy, yes I waited 2 hours, but i was taken care of so wonderfully! I checked in, sat for an hour and asked what my estimated time to be seen would be. They told me about anOther hour. I asked if i could go home and come back (live 15 minutes away). They allowed me to and they called me when to return. We i came back, they had a room ready for me, and i walked right in! Doc came if evaluated me and i was out with in 30 minutes. They grill up front were wonderful! They were very informative and took care of everything timely! Very impressed with the customer services. Definitely recommend this location.
Everyone with caring, friendly and amazing. Time that I spent there was a quick easy and precise, I would choose this particular clinic to everyone. Great job team!!
Excelent, courteous and efficient attention. All personnel with good attitude, wishing to help, clear explanations, etc. Special recognition to Ricardo at the front desk, whom was extremely helpful. Thank you very much for a great service.
The receptionist was not friendly.I always think It’s a lot easier to smile and she did not. However when I returned over two hours later for the test, the back of the house staff was nice. The doctor was very nice and concerned about my low oxygen. I’ve been here several times, and just wanted the test.
I was able to make an appoint online and to see a kind nurse practitioner, David, with no delay. The staff members were efficient and pleasant. I came here because Southern Arizona Urgent Care on Grant was closed even thought the office took my appointment and confirmed it by text multiple times... Thank you!
Great place usually. Always in and out. The receptionist was a man, very condescending and rude. Nurse and nurse practitioner were great. 1st time at Pima @ Wilmot Nextcare where the receptionist was rude. Was asked to fill out paper and it does not state patient info, so I asked if I put my daughters name on the paper. He proceeds to say in a sarcastic voice, well isnt she the patient, then yes. He could have been professional and just said yes please.
The gentleman at the front desk is fantastic though. Very pleasant and helpful
Professional and kind, all of the staff took great care of me. I really appreciated the ability to make an appointment and fill out my forms online. I have avoided Urgent Care in the past but NextCare on Pima was definitely worth the time and money.
I appreciate how I was taken care of. The facility was very clean. Since I had some issues they asked me to wait in my car until I was called. They brought me through the back door and straight into a room. Nas came in a few minutes later to check me out. She was very thorough.I would come here again if I need an urgent care
I have NEVER had a positive experience with any Nextcare. This location literally told me they didnt know what was wrong with me and asked me what prescription I wanted. Then they put it in incorrectly so the pharmacy cant fill it. Pharmacy and I had been trying all afternoon to contact them. About 30min straight on hold and I was finally able to talk to someone who couldnt help me. She literally had to admit that the only course of action that will see results is me driving back to the urgent care myself to get it fixed in person.PS, Cynthia please dont bother responding with your generic robotic response. If I want to read it I can look at any of the responses to other 1-star reviews.
Came in for a simple sickness check. Lovely front office ladies and staff except one person. The physician came in the door and immediately started showing rudeness. Not to mention waiting 1 hour in the room waiting for her. Completely ignoring that she’s obviously being a Karen. Says she’s been working 23 years, middle aged black woman. She had something against me forsure
I had a very painful U.T.I. and I was able to just walk in and get an appointment, which I was super grateful for! The staff was also extremely friendly and efficient! It was nice/relieving that the seating in the lobby was spaced out too (in order to be socially distanced from other patients). Theyre a bit busy on weekends so if you want to be out quickly, Id suggest getting there early!
Quick friendly check in, receptionist was super friendly. Waited almost two hours WITH an appointment though. Doc was also very friendly, great with my dramatic 8 year old! If not for the wait. Would have rated higher.
Very professional staff who quickly and efficiently dealt with my issue in spite of the late hour. My family and I are very appreciative. The doctor on duty was caring and thorough. She took special care to insure my safety. Thank you for being there when we needed you most!
Not sure what the intent of scheduling an appointment was when “17 walk in’s just showed up” per the nurse on duty and my child has to wait. I would have appreciated better communication instead of being left in a room for an hour and a half with no word. The rest of the family had to wait in the car, it would have been nice to let them get lunch and not have the car running the whole time. (Update) I went back because shocker when you have kids the whole house gets sick. Decided to give this location another chance not but 4 days later we took my wife here. We are still in the parking lot two hours after checking in to a 3:30 Appt at 3:09, and were just called in at 5:19. Again communication is non existing and once you go in to inquire how long it is going to take, you are met with uncertainty. The live update list kept getting populated with more people who seemed to be helped before the scheduled appointments as person after person kept leaving. We probably won’t come back to this location, and if we did, I wouldn’t bother with an appointment they do not intend to honor. It’s a shame as the people are friendly, but I don’t think they have the staff to actually support this facility.
Went for X-rays sore ribs staff were quick and very efficient and friendly. Thanks for the service
I came in yesterday to be helped with a back issue Ive been having. The Female Doctor was so rude and did not care. Very disappointing. The front desk and nurses were great and very respectful though.
Staff were friendly and the wait time was not near as long as other urgent cares in town. It was certainly experiencing the shortage within healthcare, having one provider on staff who worked after hours getting prescriptions sent, etc.One recommendation is to have awareness of Pharmacy closure times, as it took several hours getting rx switched over to another pharmacy that was open past 4 pm on a Sunday.
From the minute we walked in the front door the staff was welcoming. There was a sence that everyone cared and they were genuinely concerned about my sons condition. Everyone from the check in staff to the Doctor to the discharge nurse, were all compassionate and courteous. Thank you all for helping us. Bless you all!
Excellent! Used the web to check the number of people in line. It got to 0 and I drove over. Still 0 people waiting. Was able to fill out paperwork immediately, brought into a room as soon as the paperwork was done, and the intake process was smooth. Doctor saw me within minutes. In and out in a little more than 30 minutes.
NEVER AGAIN WORST PROVIDER she was so rude as soon as she came in the room. middle aged black woman as noted in other review said she’s been doing her job for many years, yes and I’ve been taking care of my children and there medical needs for many years that I am 100 percent on. Even if you refuse to help my child it doesn’t excuse her attitude. If you’re unhappy with your career please leave and let someone who knows how to respect patients and not to mention THE WAIT TIME WAS over an HOUR! EVEN AFTER THE FACT I SCHEDULED A APPOINTMENT!!!
Ricardo was very sweet and friendly, even when dealing with an un-ruly patient that was ahead of me. Thanks Ricardo! It was also very clean and the staff was very diligent about sanitation and wearing masks. Celeste was amazing as well. They are very busy here and she got me checked in very quickly and was very nice. Dr. Straw was friendly as well and calmed me down with his presence. He was extremely efficient and understanding. Thanks to all of the staff here.
The only setback is despite making an appointment online and showing up on time there was still a wait to be seen. The staff is somewhat lackluster but the provider was very nice, knowledgeable and quick to make a decision for resolution of the problem. Overall we would return and we do recommend this location. The location was East Pima opera Tanque Verde.
Receptionist was very kind.Facility was clean and for the first I witnessed this type of facility actually being disinfected out in waiting area after each patient that would leave the waiting area.Nurse was so very nice patient and helpful. And so was the Dr.This will be my go to urgent care 😌
I was seen promptly. The front desk traditionally rude. No different hereIm the NA however was pleasant and showed empathy. Seemed carrying and thoroughWas in and out in about a hourBest ER visit Ive had. Thank you Next Care.
Honestly is the last time I will visit this location. After 4 plus hours if wait could not have been more dissatisfied with service overall in including all staff. Nothing more to say nothing less.
Everyone was kind and professional during my visit, from the receptionist out front to the nurse that took my pressure, everything was done in a timely manner my wait times werent long at all, I am thankful to the doctor who looked at my injury and informed me that the x-ray technician was there on her day off and she took the time to take my x-ray, to whomever is in charge you have a good group of folks at this location, thank you for the care today I will highly recommend this location to my friends and family. Mr.Navarro
Went there with my daughter (who is a minor)to be seen and the PAC who saw/treated my daughter had no bedside manners. She came in wearing a full face respirator and as soon as she walked in she didnt introduce herself and her attitude came off like we were a burden to her and wasting her time. Her first question was ,why are you here? It was hard to hear her through the respirator and I kindly replied, Im sorry I couldnt hear her and asked her to please repeat what she had said. She repeated it in manner that made us feel like were incompetent.I told her the reason being why we were there is because of the lingering cough my daughter had. After my daughter was seen we walked to front desk for discharge papers and I asked the nice employee if the name of the physician would be on the discharge papers and she said yes. I didnt mention to her why I asked that but sat down waiting for discharge paperwork and my daughter who is not even 10 said mommy that lady was not nice. I guess the employee working the front check in desk heard that came and gave me the paperwork. She apologized for the experience we had. I told her thank you and its not her fault and she shouldnt be the one apologizing for someone elses behavior. It almost appeared as if she was aware of the unprofessional treatment from this PAC and my guess is this was not first time . She said she would bring this up to her supervisor.Coming from myself having had experience in the healthcare industry,, I understand the stress healthcare workers endure on a daily basis but whatever the reason being , does not give them the right to take it out on patients. Not every Next Care Urgent Care will have unprofessional staff like this PAC and some patients will have an excellent treatment but this location on the Eastside of Tucson I would not recommend due to this one employee/PAC.Everyone else there was very kind but I guess there was one bad apple there .
Didn’t treat me. Doctor was rude and dismissive.
Office staff and Doctor Williams are in it to win it! They care about their patients! And I’ll tell you they actually probably have some PCP’s out there beat! Thankyou so much you guys!
Horrible experience. I felt no empathy and left still in pain.
The receptionist was really friendly. The MA and DO Audrey Shaeffer - both extremely rude and short. Being a healthcare provider myself, it was unacceptable. Wish I would have chosen a different location.
The staff were super friendly. I got in quickly and had an amazing experience from beginning to end. Helped ease my stresses and made me feel comfortable and my health was top priority.
The staff was amazing, very friendly! I took my 3 month old in for pink eye and she loved everyone there. The doctor Brian was very sweet and so were the ladies. Ill be going back when needed.
I have been here several times. The care was decent and the professionals were kind. I was impressed with the follow-through, As I needed a change in medication and they were quick to provide it. My only concern was that I seemed to have I picked up a serious flu one time at this clinic for a different complaint. I think it would be prudent to separate patients who have contagious illnesses, from others.
I wanted to get an xray to rule out a hairline fracture or anything in my hip from a fall I had taken a couple of days ago. I have an MRI already scheduled elsewhere. Dr refused to have an xray done after talking to me for less than 3 minutes... after waiting 2 hrs to be seen after my scheduled appt time. She talked over me and didnt let me finish a sentence. I understand they were busy but absolutely horrible bedside manner.
Been here twice in the last 6 months and both times have been wonderful. Theyre fast, but the best part was just the care that I recieved both times. The medical assistants especially took excellent care of me and listened to what I said. I highly recommend this urgent care!
People were courteous and professional. Make sure you have ID. They won’t treat you unless you have it. My condition is serious. Doctor wants me to see hand specialist.. Before I got to urgent care put raw organic honey on wound. In my mind it is good disinfectant and takes pain away. My pain level maybe a 1 out of ten. Can’t be seen at orthopedic institute til after 5 this evening so hoping between my actions and theirs things will remain stable til then.
Waited a long time considering there werent many people there. Physician assistant on duty that day did not have a very good bedside manner, didnt explain what I had or what the treatment would be. Definitely not as good as the experience I had last year when I had to be seen.
Went to the Nextcare off Pima street and it went very well! All the staff was very friendly and professional. Would recommend.
Very friendly and fast service. Almost no wait time. Took my kid their for a sports physical. In and out in no time. Tried to go to Banner Urgent care first and was told we would need to wait 90 minutes. It is NextCare for me from now on!
They were very friendly and helpful. Having no insurance I was able to make an appointment right away and pay for the visit with no issues. The visit was unnecessary but that was not anyone at NextCares fault. Just a misunderstanding or misinformation passed on to me. I appreciate the information provided by the receptionist, the nurse and the Dr. I would go again and definitely recommend going here. Thanks 😊
Great, friendly staff and got me in and out quickly.
I went there Oct 31, 2020. I brought my son that had a injury in his arm and the medical attention was exceptional. It exceeded all my expectations. All the team was very nice and compassionate with my son. How different can be the attention between two urgent care? Because the night before I went to another urgent care (Banner non respiratory) and was awful so I gave up and returned to my home frustrated. Thank you for everything!
I come here whenever I need to see a doctor fast. It was easy to book an appointment with the app and you can do all your paperwork from your phone. It wasn’t too bad of a wait. Will definitely keep using this location.
My experience at this place was excellent (6238 E. Pima Street), and that facility deserves a 5. The only problem was the lack of a local anesthesia, which prohibited treatment. This contrasts sharply with my earlier-in-the-day experience at the Cigna Urgent Care at 4000 E. Sunrise Drive. The receptionist there refused to accept my Kaiser Permanente/Cigna PPO card, telling me she had been told they dont accept Kaiser patients. Her curt, dogmatic, ignorant behavior was very offputting. This Next Care Urgent Care facility (at 6238 E. Pima Street) immediately accepted the Kaiser/Cigna PPO card, and provided great service.
Im a regular here, thanks to miserable allergies. The ability to call ahead really streamlines the whole process. Their prices are very reasonable and they work with my insurance provider. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The healthcare professional on staff, regardless of which one I have seen, has always been spot on with a diagnosis and treatment that is effective. Its much faster and less expensive than any ER in town.
The lady at the desk constantly dead named me but the nurse who took me back and the doctor who helped me where nice and lovely to work with, and treated me with respect. The over all experience and treatment was nice.
I was impressed with how quickly we were taken back and issues were addressed. Staff were very caring, FNP on staff was very knowledgeable and explained things easily. Front staff was apologetic that discharge papers were delayed printing but it only took 5 minutes so no worries.I would recommend using this NextCare location.
My leg and a sharp box cutter got in a tangle this morning. They got me right in (waited in car with leg up until they called) Great, kind nurse got me all prepped and Dr. David did a beautiful Mattress Stitch, or eight.I felt cared for.. always nice when its the time of Cooties and you cant have your partner there to hold your hand.
I made a same day appointment. Was seen quickly had my civil rest was given the results then seen by the doctor and was done within an hour.
The front desk people were nice and got me checked in quickly. Marina the MA was thorough and kind. She had a smile on her face as was caring and professional I’ve been there a couple of times and had Rebecca NP and Eric PA who are fantastic. They both take the time to listen and explain and give you the care you need. The check out process is easy also.
A good place for issues that dont require an emergency room visit. Ive been here a couple times now and Ive always had short wait times. The staff have always been friendly, polite, and professional. My medical providers & care have been top notch. I definitely recommend NextCare on Pima.
This was my first time visiting this facility and I was very impressed with how Safety is a very welcomed practice at this location. They were efficient with the process and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. If you are in need of non-emergency medical attention, I believe youd be in good hands at this location. To the staff:Thank you.Happiness 😊 & Peace🕊️
Weve always gone to this urgent care and have never had any problem, until today. The woman doctor thats working right now is extremely rude, she didnt listen to my daughters concerns; the doctor talked over her every time she tried to ask her a question, and she was in and out of the room in what felt like 60 seconds.I have recommended this urgent care to my family and friends but I dont be in the future.
