Customer service in the Bronx is really hit or miss (seems like mostly miss), but you guys got a good thing going. We chose this urgent care for the good reviews and werent disappointed. Staff was friendly, facility was clean and Dr Tugetman was respectful and relaxed. Recommend!
I want to share my experience that I had today and many times in the past . Hands down this urgent care is very welcoming but I have to rave about Dr Brain Fandritch and Amanda. I request them every time I have to be seen . Doc is amazing listens to what I’m saying great bedside manner and all around best doctor I have the pleasure to have him care for me .Amanda is very smart and caring. She makes me feel comfortable and I absolutely appreciate her support and kindness I actually consider her a friend now . I am a very outspoken and truthful woman and I don’t think I would go anywhere else to get medical care.Kristie Muth

I wanted to give a review because so many medical facilities today lack compassion and manners. I went in this morning because I believed I had pink eye and It was confirmed. The staff from the front desk to a sweet nurse Shana I think was her name were so sweet and professional. Keep up the good work at this location. We need more of you ladies in many other urgent care facilities. Thank you.
Felt welcomed by all staff especially front desk! Cristina is amazing , she has a great bubbly personality and very helpful it shows her excellent customer service skills. Dr. Fanrich is a great provider high quality service will come back!
Firstly, the staff were pleasant and friendly (which isn’t common in UrgentCare facilities) I mentioned I was a bit chilly, they brought me a blanket. The doctor was like a ninja - in and out. Although not in a typical overlook your patients kind of manner. He was very nice and listened to my symptoms before prescribing anything just to get me out of there. Probably the best UrgentCare Ive experienced in the Bronx! (Most are not as nice or fast-operating as this)

Amazing! Its the only word that comes to mind. They run the AFC Urgent Care like a well oiled machine. From the front end, minimal wait time and the doctors are caring, they listen and they treat you... couldnt ask for a better place to go if youre not feeling well.
Website says it’s open 7 days a week morning to evening, but doesn’t mention certain services aren’t available on certain days. I walk in on a Sunday for an X-RAY but the “tech wasn’t in”, then I asked if it was like that every Sunday to which the front desk person replied “uh… yea?”. Who knows if it was the truth or not, regardless not all services are available on all days making this location useless as a true urgent care.
The process was quick and precise , and the doctor and staff were all amazing. The online registration process was so helpful and convenient that I will absolutely use it going forward and recommend everyone in my family and friends group to your location.

I went in on a Sunday for a awful earache, 1st I appreciate they was open in a Sunday and open at 8am. 2nd the wait was very short I was called immediately. 3rd the nurses acted as if they didn’t want to touch me and 4th the doctor hardly spend anytime with me at all looked at the ear said yeah it’s infected pre-scripted medicine and gave me an referral.Did not ask about the pain level and didn’t try to do anything about it, they didn’t give me any pain killers or have any sent to the pharmacy. Over all it a little wasteful of my time because I came in with pain and I left the same way. Good office and quick service is what you’re gonna get.

Our go to place for Urgent Care, it’s a damn shame they only had one doctor working this Tuesday, the place was beyond packed, a two and half hour wait to be seen, the Staff was amazing at the front desk and working in the back, during this time with all the viruses going around, they need to enforce mask mandates, the staff would hand them out and people in the waiting area, wouldn’t keep them on, but shame on you for only having one doctor working, no excuses, your staff was Amazing as always.
By far the worst experience ever, 2 hours wasted only to have my blood pressure and temperature checked. I decided to walk out all I needed was medication for an infectious disease. Upon deciding to walk out I noticed 7-8 employees hanging out by a desk gossiping about nothing. Once I walked out there were people from 1 and half hours ago still sitting in the waiting room. I dont do reviews but this this place is a joke youll get better medical care at Petco. Will be contacting insurance to make sure they know that no service was provided.

Shumi picked up the phone, and she was very disrespectful. She’s not qualified to understand what took place when my daughter visited on the 13th. I was told that with test results AFC urgent care member will call on the 14th, but no one did. When I told her, she responded, So what happened? Did you call? When I mentioned that I did call, she simply said, It was busy, showing a lack of Unresponsible care or concern for the patients and their families needs regarding the test results. It is the responsibility of the facility to inform family members about test results on the 14th. AFC agreed to call on the 14th but failed to do so. If the facility neglects to communicate about test results, individuals like Shumi, who dont value or respect patients or their family members, should not be employed there. According to Health Care act It is the facility responsibility to call the patient or their family member about the test result
The staff, excellent, the location clean. Waiting for over 1 hr to see a doctor only 4 people before me. After been ask to come in to a room, waited over 45 minutes before been seeing by a doctor.
Sunday early pm , always knowledgable friendly staff and very good physician . No wait time due to low number of patients but have been before with more patients and still relatively smooth process.

I went last week and every one was sitting apart from each other very quietly and respectfully. The staff is amazing. The young ladies in the front were very kind. The medical assistant I had was warm and caring. The MD us saw was great. He listened and didn’t rush me out. I would definitely recommend this Urgent Care to anyone who needs it.

I noticed my finger was still swollen and stiff with pain upon movement.. I called 5 urgent care centers in my area and none had an XRay tech. I found this one and they did I was in and out quickly for 1 doctor in house.. treated and given meds for my finger.. I feel so much better and made it to our family bbq after leaving the MD I’m so glad you are here! And for the prompt professional care! The front desk girls and the staff and DR were kind! And empathetic to my pain!
Nice but Careless medical care: I came for a treatment of a specific infection and told that to the multiple staff members who assisted me.when they called me with the results, they told me all my extra test results were negative BUT they weren’t able to test for what I specifically came in fortheir excuse was that a new staff person did the test and sent in the wrong kind of testAnd no experienced medical personnel cared to check the work of the new personsubpar medical care because of carelessness

They bring you into the back rooms and forget about you. Was left in the room for over an hour.. no doctor. I was in so much pain, had to step out the room to remind them i was there. Place wasnt even crowded.

Last time I would ever go to this establishment for any medical services. First there was only one physician and a two hour wait to get into an exam room.Once in the exam room, you can hear the staff talking about their personal business and patients. Doctors barged into the room, do not introduce themselves and proceeded to give results of another patient.Upon an misunderstanding they staff became hostile.I’ll take my business to Bronx Docs where they know how to treat their patients and not violate HIPPA laws.
It’s an urgent care but they don’t treat any patients with any urgency. Been waiting well over ver an hour and a half. Then they send me into a room where I wait another 30 minutes. I peek out the door and ask if they forgot about me, when one of the staff says that all the doctors went to a meeting… smh.. I’m never coming back to this place nor bringing my kids either.
I was just yelled at today by the receptionist with the red hair and the tattoos. She left and went to the bathroom while I was filling out the form. I put the form for her to see on top of the desk for when she came back, she ignored it was there and instead chose to talk to someone else and check her phone. She has always been rude, this is what we have to deal with berating patients when they are sick. All they do is talk and not pay attention.UPDATE: She just threatened me and called me names in the parking lot, she was leaving the same time, apparently. Some people never graduated high school and are still bullies.

Staff was very sensitive for the reason of my visit. Once inside, from MA to Dr took time to gather information. It was a very smooth visit, I was out less than an hour. I have been going to this place since it was opened.
My husband and I have been to the urgent care location a few times since the opening of the facility. We have had very good experiences during our visits. The staff is very pleasant and demonstrated concern during each visit. The facility is spacious and well stocked with modern equipment. Our wait time was short in the waiting area and seeing the doctor. Dr. Garcia was the main doctor we had seen during our visits and she is very friendly, knowledgeable and takes adequate time to explain her diagnosis. I highly recommend Doctor Express Urgent care.
Front desk is always courteous. The facility is very clean. They have convenient hours. Ive never waited over an hour no matter how busy this office gets. The nurses are very friendly and professional. The majority of the doctors here are friendly and knowledgeable. Most of the time, I leave here with all of my concerns addressed. It is easy to communicate with them and they always call to check up on the patient. I would definitely come here again.
Ive visited this Urgent care facility 3 times now. My 2 small children & myself have been seen by the staff there and I have 0 complaints. The service is really fast. The staff as a whole are very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We have been treated by a few doctors & care aides and each one has been great.My prescriptions were also sent right over to my pharmacy, no waiting, no confusion. Two days later I always get a call to check on our condition. Overall this Office is really great and I recommend it to everyone.
I was not going to providea bad review until the callI just had with staff. I wasseen on Monday afternoonR/O Concussive Syndrome& Shingles. I was confidentwith the diagnosis suggestedfollow up & treatment regime.However felt very concernedabout the amount of patientsthere with visible and audibleLR & UR Infections. The Docswabbed my throat roughly& for a prolonged period. Itested negative for both CV& Strep. Note no symptomseither. Wednesday here I sitwith not only an Upper but aLower Respiratory Infectionwhich is triggering Asthma.60 years old & extremely ill.The person who registerspt initially gave advice wth.Going to ED tomorrow andterrified as now am doublycompromised and very weak.May need 911 very very upset.
I took my son to AFC for sore throat and not feeling well I told the medical assistant my son has a history of strep throat they did a in-house strep test it came out negative I told them please send out a throat culture this was 7/1/23 they called me today 7/10/23 around 4:30 4:45 pm to tell me my son throat culture came back positive I never seen a or witness first hand a group of incompetent people in my life I’m not even calling you health care worker. They have the audacity to tell me today 9 days later he doesn’t need treatment my son was still having difficulty with his throat I was wondering why . I don’t even want to give one start but you have to click on the start to leave a review. I see they are hiring just anyone after COVID this is disgusting I would not recommend taking your little one to AFC . They have no experience what so ever . Then to top of off I had to go back because the pharmacy didn’t receive the RX script unbelievable my son got his first dose of amoxicillin almost 6pm tonight 7/10/23 . This is not ok !!! I will be taken future actions!!
Your urgent care, to me is the best I have visited in the Bronx. I also have this believe that is the best in New York. You are well equipped both in medical personnel and medical equipment.
I came in a couple weeks with my mom, PA Hema was so patient and diligent. She explained everything clearly, and it seems like she ran appropriate tests. Shes intuitive, knowledgeable, and very professional. I highly recommend
You may have a long wait during peak flu/ COVID season, but the care here is quality. They follow up after your visit to see how you’re doing. Parking available. Deals with minor injuries , infections, and other illnesses. Friendly and thorough staff.
My thanks to the whole team here. Brought my 3 year old in for cold symptoms, because I wanted to make sure he didn’t have covid. It was a great experience all around. Everyone from the receptionists to the doctors were great—efficient, patient and polite. They had us in and out within an hour without making us feel rushed. And they all had good bedside manner with my son. Highly recommended this urgent care.

My Special Needs Son who is disabled was Denied Care today. My family always comes to this location and we never had a problem until today. Mind you we are not speaking about the great physicians I am Retired Army SGT and I am also NYC Worker. I have NYC Health Insurance with Emblem Health and I get free VA Urgent Care from the V.A. My son has Medicaid. My wife went to sign in for my son because of his Allergies. Then the recepionists told my wife said he cant be seen because we owe copayment. My wife was confused and told them that our son has full medicaid. They replied back that I was the one who owe the copayment of $50. So my wife tells them that I am Veteran who gets free Urgent Care from the V.A. and does not get charged. They still denied my son to be seen. My wife gets me to resolve the problem. I tell them again we do not owe anything for copayments especially me. Again they denied my son to be seen. So I asked them are you guys Medical Billers ? They answered No. So I asked them again how do you know your billing is making a mistake. They both look puzzled and shrugged. So I asked for their Manager or a Supervisor but the receptionist with the glasses told me her supervisor cannot speak to me. I ask again for the Supervisor name and number and also for their names but they did not provided for me. I need Upper Management to contact me as soon as possible. My family was insulted and disrespected by the receptionists. Never in my life we were harrassed or disrespected in aestablishment. I need someone from corporate to speak to me before I notify the Veterans Association and OPWDD about what has happen here especially in all Special Needs families. Today, I am highly upset and very disappointed with American Family Care. No Family should had to experienced of what we did today.UPDATE: The owner called me and my family. He personally apologized to my family for the unprofessional treatment of the receptionist and also reprimanded them for more training. He stated that No one should be denied medical service especially a Special Needs Child and a Retired Veteran. The owner also told us to take down his number if any problems ever happen again. My family and I are very satisfied with the quick corporate response

Every time Ive had to visit this place- the entire staff is pleasant, professional and supportive. The overload of covid patients is stressful for everyone, and this place handles it all very well. They are organized and seem to really work well together. The doctors, despite how busy they can be, are Still* pleasant and really take their time with you. No one really wants* to rush to urgent care.. so when you do.. to be treated well, makes for a better experience. THANK YOU to everyone who works their tail off at this office everyday.

My first time at this location and it was great. I did not have to wait long. The staff was super friendly and made me feel comfortable. I was really surprised at the decor and space it looked like a mini hospital. Absolutely loved the floors not sure why I have to add this but nice touch. The doc was great and straight to the point. I would definitely recommend and refer friends and family. Very helpful good job.

I received test results right on the spot and the Dr eased my mind with my medical concerns. The facility was clean, waiting area was set up comfortably for social distancing. Highly recommend.
I went to a doctor office for soar throat I almost lost my voice she told me there was no medication to be given it will leave on it own. For 3 straight days I was uncomfortable. My husband went here ( AFC DOCTORS EXPRESS) and recommend for me to go. I love the staff. Very professional and kind. The doctor was great. He provided me antibiotics. 2 days later I was feeling back to myself. Customer service was perfect. I love that they call you within 3 days to check up on you. I also love the fact it is Express service. I was in an out within 10 min. Highly recommended. I will go here again and bring my children!. Great job!
Amazing experience! The staff and doctors are excellent. Everyone is professional and welcoming. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. I would definitely recommend them to all of my friends and family! AFC Urgent Care is the place to go when you are not well.
The staff is extremely friendly and professional. However, my main purpose for my visit was to get a Rapid Covid test and the PCR. The nurse gave me both tests and the doctor told me my results for the PCR would be available in 24 hrs. I in turn called the office twice the following day for my results and was told the doctor NEVER sent in the PCR test because he didnt feel it was necessary. I waited 24 hrs for a test that was never completed. THIS IS UNETHICAL AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I paid $50 for half an exam. Why did Dr. Javier lie and tell me he was sending my sample to lab for PCR when he didnt? How can he decide it wasnt necessary without discussing that with me? This is a horror and should never have happened!
Waiting for a covid test took at least 2 hours of wait time. Mind you, there were only 3 other people waiting outside. The staff are unprofessional as well. When waiting in my room, I can hear through the door the staff discussing weekend plans and sharing Sour Patch Kids(like actually). The place is also really understaffed, with only one doctor. Even as a non-medical professional, that is really unsafe. What if you bring your kid in with a serious injury and they only have one do tor to help you. There always ha e to have two doctors, at the very least a doctor and a trained doctor assistant. I also feel like they lie about the fact that they normally have two doctors. Finally, the floor doesnt look like its been clean for a while. I waited FOUR hours for a simple test. If I went to a further clinic, I would probably be out sooner.

I always take my children there.They are Great! It is really convenient clean. All of the Doctors are kind and polite. It is a really good place to be when your not feeling well. Target is a few steps away and you can fill your prescription. A one stop convince is everything to me and my family.

This is the second review I make right now. The first post I wrote was: The wait was brief. The staff was very nice and pleasant. The diagnosis was pretty quick and they asked for a follow-up. I would recommend this Urgent Care if you want to avoid long waiting lines. There is only one con - theres no interpreters for the Deaf. My kids and myself, we are Deaf. They hardly take the time to write information down on a paper pad. I had to rely on a lot of lipreading and speaking some. The only thing I like the most was the informative paper they give me at the end of the visit. *five months ago*The update to this post - they finally have a nurse with signing skills. For that, I am so grateful. The wait was still brief. I waited, probably, for 30 minutes to 40 minutes at the most. That is really good if you compare with other urgent care centers that would make you sit and wait for hours! With my visit with the doctor, the doctor was able to confirm diagnosis quickly and one diagnosis he wanted me to follow up with and he has given me information. Now with the signing nurse and competent doctors, I am now at ease to go there frequently for myself and my children. I give this Urgent Care 5 ratings! all thumbs up!
Dr.Geevarghese was amazing. I can tell she loves her patients from her heart. From the start I felt comfortable with her and the assistant staffs, that was working with her. Had a great visit the past 2 days I went in. I would recommend to anyone thats looking for good urgent care. Everyone in the office was nice and polite. Everything you need is there, quick service, honest doctors, and not overpriced for services.

I was referred by a friend and had an excellent experience. The facility looked brand new and was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The most impressive person was Dr. Garcia. It wasnt too busy when I was there and I didnt wait long. Dr. Garcia introduced herself and went over my medical history. She was extremely professional and thorough. She has a very pleasant demeanor and made me feel like I was her only patient. I never felt rushed and she explained her diagnosis in terms I could understand. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. You wont be disappointed.
It was very fast. The front desk was very nice and quickly. William called me in did my vitals. Also quick and nice. Then Dr. Hughes came in also very nice and quick. Have been going to AFC ever since they opened their doors. Very attentive, personable and clear and concise with their explanations of your diagnosis. Would recommend someone to their office anytime.
Waiting time was long, but I know its flu season... But I chose this place since it was the closest to home that I could drive myself since I was feeling really sick. All staff was pleasant. Very nice gesture that the patients are given a bottle of water while they wait. Just glad a doctor saw me and prescribed what I needed to get better.

I ALWAYS COME HERE WITH THE CHILDREN TODAY JANUARY 28 HAVE THE WORSE EXPERIENCE WITH THE DOCTOR THEY PUT US IN THE ROOM FOR MINUTES I GET OUT THE ROOM AND JUST AS WHY MY SON WAS NOT BEING SEING BY THE DOCTOR . AFTER WHILE THE DOCTOR CAN IN AND TOLD HE WAS THE ONLY DOCOTR UNDERSTAND AND THAT THERE WAS A EMERGENCY WITH ANOTHER CHILD BUT AT LEAST THEY SHOUDNT COME TO ME AND TOLD ME THAT AS WELL NOT LEAVING US IN THE ROOM LIKE WE WHERE NOBODY . THE DOCTOR WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL FIRST THE WAY HE SPOKE TO ME IT WASNT THE CORRECT WAY ALSO HIS PRESENTATION AS A DOCTORS NAME BRIAN FAHNRICH. THE STAFF ASSISTANT NURSE WAS VERY NICE . BUT THE DOCTOR SHOUDNT NEVER TALK TO PATIENT LIKE HI DID.

The front office personnel was extremely charming! Very professional. The doctor and his crew were very sensitive to my childs needs. The only thing I didnt like was the lady taking my sons weight and blood pressure :/ she was a bit in a rush and my 2 year old was crying hysterically yet she took no pause. But overall I will def come back!
I dont think I was every able to see a doctor this quick. Everyone was friendly, the doctor was nice and the environment itself was clean. As side from all of that, they also provided excellent care. I even got a follow-up call about a week later to see how I was feeling which I thought was really wonderful.

There were only 2 people ahead of me when I went in and I was called within 10 minutes inside the exam room where I had to wait over 30 minutes to wait for a doctor. I was told there were still 3 people ahead of me after waiting the 30 minutes. I walked out, it was terrible service. Do not go to this urgent care.
I had went to this urgent care facility on Dec 29 2016, and the transition process was very smooth right from the beginning. The patient care representative were very courtesy and processed my visit within 15-20 minutes. I was very impressed with the amount of staff available to assist with my visit and appreciate how clean the facility was and how professional the staff at this urgent care were. The doctor was great and escribed my medications to CVS where there was no problems with getting the medications as urgently needed. I would highly recommend and would return in the future.
This particular location has 5 stars in professionalism in my opinion. The hours of the business are flexible and the process to see a doctor is fast. The staff clearly works together as a strong team to make sure the day runs accordingly. While youre with the doctor he/she ensures youre comfortable and wishes you well upon your departure. I always feel welcomed at this location.
Extremely professional staff! I recently received a COVID 19 test ( negative results). The staff is extremely accommodating and give patients an accurate assessment of the wait time. Patients are allowed to wait in their car. They receive a call when the clinician is ready to screen them and are seen immediately. Both clinical and administrative staff are extremely accommodating and professional. They have a streamlined system.
Came in because of a persistent cough fever body aches chest pain my nurse Jasmine was amazing took my blood with ease, Ian the X-ray tech was great fast courteous, friendly, Dr.Millendorf is great explained my problem he immediately ordered test. Every time I come here I get fast, friendly care the front desk staff is always nice and courteous and although Dr.T is my favorite doctor he wasnt in today I come here time and time again because of the exceptional service. So thank you to the entire team at AFC Urgent Care ❤️❤️❤️
A bit of a wait but that was because it was busy. My son is scared of doctors so best believe he put up a fight. I appreciate the doctors being so patient with him while checking his vitals. The clinic is so clean! Definitely a place Ill recommend when you dont want to wait in the ER for an appointment.

Quick, courteous and polite service. The doctor I saw was genuinly concerned. I had blood work done with results in less than 10 minutes. I was in and out on a Saturday afternoon in less than 45 minutes total with my prescriptions already sent to the pharmacy to be waiting for me. As an ER nurse I know the wait time for an ER visit can be hefty, this is a much better alternative for non-life threatening issues. They also called two days later to make sure I was feeling better. Excellent service!
It was a pleasant experience. Nurses were attentive and quick to offer assistance. Free water is always a plus as well. I got there at 830 and was out within an hours time. Its clean. Doctor that saw me was quick, informative and empathic.
I have nothing to say but praises for this urgent care center. I am absolutely thrilled with my experience, staff is very friendly, doctors are fantastic and very knowledgeable. The doctors seem to care for their patients and are very thorough in order to find the root of your problem. In addition, their referral network is nothing but A+ doctors if you need to follow up with a specialist. This AFC urgent care is an absolutely great addition to our neighborhood.

I went in with my 2 1/2 year old that is sick. The girl at the front desk was very nice and very helpful. She went above and beyond to print out all the co-pays that my insurance makes me pay. They called me in very quickly, the doctor saw him and instantly diagnosed my son. I was in and out of there in like 30 minutes!! I will be taking my son and/or myself there from now on.

I came in for my 11 yr old dtr.. everyone was friendly and professional. The medical team did a great job with medical care and communicating with my daughter and myself the findings and post follow up care. My daughter was calm and at ease at all times. We didnt have to wait long to be seen. Must say Its the best in the Bronx.

Amazing experience!.. took my son in for a various amount of symptoms and he is always extremely nervous when it comes to the throat swab for strep. Nurse junaid really calmed him down and I can’t thank him enough!! he was professional and really made my son feel at ease about. Our doctor was also very thorough and I will continue to visit this urgent care whenever my family and I need it.
The staff members were incredibly friendly and attentive. The environment was also very clean and welcoming. I was seen within 30 mins which was great. There was also minimal wait for the lab results which was a surprised because it usually takes longer at other facilities. I am very pleased with my visit and will recommend to anyone.
I was taken in very quickly after I arrived and every person there was so pleasant. The doctor who I saw was the best, most informative doctor I have seen in a very long time. She took her time and answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. It was as pleasant as a visit to the doctor at 9:30 PM could be!
My experience with AFC was amazing, the staff are very professional and friendly, office is well kept, very clean and smell good too. The staff treat you like family and take care of you very fast. Now that we are in the pandemic they are really horrible at getting people in for injuries/sickness/testing. People (old/sick/hurt/waiting for testing) are standing in line outside for 90 min then come sit inside for 60 min before being seen. City MD and a lot of other places are doing a way better job than AFC at this time. AFC Please figure a way to get the old, sick & hurt inside and not standing on a long line outside.Other that that, staff and doctors are great, they are very helpful, caring and compassionate. I am the person who is a patient of your facility that came in for a COVID-19 test in May which lead me to write the review of my experience. The team was very pleasant, and professional beginning with staff at the front desk, until meeting the doctor and medical assistants. The service rendered took no more than 1 hour. Keep up the good work. The team really worked well together and communicated.
Took my daughter for the first time. I had taken her to her primary doctor and water for 40 minutes just to be told that she couldnt be seen , since Doctor wasnt in. Took her to your Urgent Care was out within 1 1/2 hour. This included asthma treatment a shot, medication, plus they took x-ray of her chest and lungs. Their care was great. I would highly recommend .
My son who is Autistic had been running a fever and complained of ear pain. He pediatricians office was closed and emergency room fees are ridiculous. I had seen the urgent care while shopping at the mall. I was nervous when I saw how crowded the waiting area was and I knew Id have to start prepping my son for the wait. When I asked the awesome lady at the desk how long was the wait she asked why. I explained my son was Autistic and I wanted to prepare him. She took us right in and was so patient with him. The others were all very helpful and patient with him as he was anxious about seeing a doctor. The doctor came in soon after. I had a hard time understanding him as he wore a mask and had a strong accent. He asked my sons name and continued to call by another name. He diagnosed him quickly and we were able to go home right after. I would definitely go there again
This was my second visit to AFC Urgent care, but this is the first time for myself. I was in and out of there within 20 minutes, going through registration, triage and received four stitches to a laceration. The staff is very courteous and efficient, I was given verbal as well as written instructions on medications and how to take care of the wound. My prescriptions were sent directly to the pharmacy and were available almost immediately. I received a follow up call two days later to find out how I was feeling. I am hoping not to require urgent care anytime soon but if I do this is where I am going.
Amazing!! So quick, so clean, so nice. This is the best urgent care I have ever been too. I was literally seen within 10 mins. The MAs there are so nice. Its super clean doesnt have that doctor office smell which I loved. They even offered me a bottle of water. This is definitely the place to go.
From the reception area to the doctor, they really care and got us in quickly. The doctor was professional and reassuring to my scared 10 year old son. Ive been here before for myself and have been pleasantly surprised at their professionalism and quality of care. I would recommend to others.
Love going there even if I have to wait because the place is nice, clean, and very friendly. I Love all there staff and havent met 1 person with an attitude. I use to run to the hospital whenever I or any of my kids or wife wasnt feeling well. I havent gone to an emergency room ever since urgent care has opened up. Emergency rooms are nightmares and Urgent Care is Number One💓💓💓
This place is a total disgrace. I walk in and I clearly state that I need to see a doctor but I cannot make a co payment at the moment. And I asked, could you bill my co payment to me? I didn’t get a “what’s wrong?” “Are you okay?” “Let me asked the doctor” I got a simple NO from the receptionist.. so let me get this right........... if anyone walks in there with 103 fever they will not be seen because they can’t make a co payment? What a country. The staff members are completely rude and should look for another career because they obviously have no concern for people in need of medical attention. If I could give negative stars, they would get a -5. I would not recommend anybody to this place for medical attention. The staff members will turn you away if you can’t make a co payment. this was the staff on 9/25/19 at 9:40 pm. Neither was concerned about a patient in need of medical attention. I’m sorry that I had to write this review, so next time show some sympathy. Thanks.
Got called within 5 minutes but waited for more than 20 minutes for the Dr to come in the room. Once she got there she was very courteous and friendly. I was out of there within ten minutes and was satisfied with my diagnosis and instructions on how to take care of my illness.
Worst practice Ive ever encountered in my life. DONT CHOOSE THIS PRACTICE FOR URGENT CARE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. THE STAFF IS RUDE, UNCARING AND SARCASTIC TO PATIENTS.We saw Dr. Tugetman on Sunday and he prescribed 1 antibiotic for a very extreme case of tonsillitis. The patient in question couldnt eat or swallow but Dr. Tugetman did not prescribe anything for pain.Its now 2 days later and the patients condition is worse. We returned back to this practice to ask for a prescription for pain. I informed the front desk and the supervisor we were seen 2 days prior and Dr.Tugetman did not prescribe any prescription for pain.The front desk did not care. We were advised they could not get in touch with Dr. Tugetman and basically if we wanted to be seen again we would need to pay another co pay.The supervisor then stated she couldnt guarantee the patient would be given anything for pain in a very rude, and arrogant tone. This practice did not care that the patient couldnt swallow and hasnt eaten in days. All they want is the money and they treat patients like animals. Shame!!!! I will never visit this place ever again.IF YOU WANT A DOCTOR WHO CARES ABOUT YOUR HEALTH DO NOT VISIT THIS PRACTICE. The business practices here seem to be very shady in regards to double billing insurance and trying to force patients to pay double co-pays. BEWARE!!!!!Update were now at a different doctors office and the doctor looked in the patients throat and immediately said he needed IV antibiotics. Basically the first visit at AFC Urgent Care Throgs Neck, was a waste of our time and money. They do not care about their patients at all. Visit Dr. Jakubowicz at METRO URGICARE...he took his time while examining the patient and thinks it is not bacterial so he is conducting different test. Went to AFC Urgent Care on a Sunday morning for an emergency, and staff were all courteous, friendly & professional. The wait time to be seen was Less than 30 minutes. The offices were immaculately clean including bathroom. We saw Dr. G & her nurse team, and she was excellent--caring, compassionate, patient and wonderful to me, considering Im deaf and my aunt had to interpret for me. They were able to treat my condition, do lab-work on-site, and ordered prescription for quick p/u at local pharmacy. Im grateful to Dr. G and the wonderful team at AFC. Will surely return to this location at 843 Hutchingson River Pkwy, Bronx if the need arises. AFC is a God-send and Im a very satisfied patient!
Staff were very nice and cordial. I thought my daughter and I were going to be there a long time as there were a lot of people in the waiting area. However, we were in and out within 90 minutes. It might have been shorter but we had to wait for test results. There was a time waiting in the examination room when I thought they forgot about us. The place looked under construction with plastic on the walls and dust. However, I didnt see a sign that said Pardon our appearance...
This is the BEST urgent care I ever been to in my life. I went there on a Tuesday and they called me on a Thursday to see how I was feeling. They were very nice and caring. I will definitely go there again! Love the hours also.
I went to this Urgent Care on Black Friday afternoon. I was pleased that I was called within the hour. I may have waited longer for the doctor once I was in the room, but all in all it was a very good experience. As it turned out, I had bronchitis, and didn’t know it. The doctor was on point. I would definitely go there again!
I came in for my ten year old son on a busy holiday weekend and it was great everyone very friendly, nice and professional. Yes the wait was a bit long but nothing not to be expected on a weekend. I never usually take the time out to write a review on places but i definitely had to take some time out to do this, i went yesterday about 2 to an hour before they were closing they were so quick and made the process so fast. Also the staff was amazing from the receptionist to the nurses to the doctor that took me, everyone was amazing.
This was my first visit as a patient. They have treated my daughter and wife. On all visits, including mine, the staff is friendly and proffessional. The doctors were on point, made the right call and provided great assistance with our health issues. It is a clean and modern facility. Definitely reccomend this Urgent Care.
I came in yesterday to be seen for a needle stick worker’s compensation case but unfortunately could not be seen and was instead told to go to the ER.The reason for my 5 stars is because of the staff. I’d like to shout out Brandon, Maryssa and Christopher (I hope that’s your name, the male who took my temperature and pressure in room 1). All of them were so kind and made sure that I was in right away without a crazy wait time, given the right paperwork for WC, that I could be seen before the 7pm cutoff time for new WC claims.Yesterday was exhausting emotionally and mentally for me but as a fellow healthcare worker, it was wonderful to still see colleagues who genuinely cared for the well being of their patients. I apologize for running out in a rush without properly thanking them but I hope they read this and know they were truly appreciated for the empathetic kindness they showed to a stranger.
This place is great. It’s clean, staff is attentive, friendly and empathetic. Doctors are knowledgeable and more then willing to answer any questions you may have. Wait time is excellent, even on busy days. The mall’s parking space upstairs is much appreciated and there’s plenty of space. Been bringing my family here for a few years. I highly recommend them.
Fast service , wait time is usually 20-30 minutes if a lot of people but they get moving. Brand new facility and doctors are great. Staff is very friendly and most insurance is accepted. I always come to urgent care rather then my PCP because of the long wait times at my PCP and My PCP office is not open late nights or weekends.
Took our crying 6-year old son with a painful infection to AFC about a half hour before closing. First impressions were good, as the office was clean and modern. However, that impression quickly began to wane. Despite the sign outside saying they accept most insurances, we were promptly informed that ours was an exception. The intake person even went as far as to say that most places dont take it--which seemed like an odd, unqualified determination--but that we could pay out of pocket submit the bill for reimbursement. Given our obvious concern over our son, we chose to move forward. We were then asked to pay upfront, which Ive never heard of in my lifetime, and Ive paid out of pocket before. Later, the staff made no attempt to hide the fact that their primary concern was leaving to go home, not taking care of my visibly distraught child. After being seen by the doctor, from whom I got the best vibe in the office, we were escorted out by one staff member, who after answering a question, added, were closing now, so... As it turns out, there are plenty of other urgent care facilities in the area that accept his insurance. Furthermore, I just found out that my insurance will not reimburse the bill from our visit.
Entire staff is very friendly and professional. I was not only impressed by my doctor but also by the office itself. Dr. Tugetman not only took time to talk to me but he also took time to run multiple tests to make sure I was okay. I was very happy with my experience and will definetly return whenever I need to. Very convenient and great staff all around.
Ive been there twice. Every time the wait was no longer than 20 minutes, the nurses & doctors are wonderful and spot on with my diagnosis. I would recommend it highly, and its so much worth it compared to waiting in an Immergency room for 8-12 Hrs. Its convenient, and better than the ER. Go Bronx lets do this! Why should we be kept waiting in the ER for so long, when we have an urgent care at the hutch. Time is money.
First let me say the entire staff has been extremely courteous and professional each time I have visited this office. After visiting several other Doctors, including my primary and not getting the correct diagnoses, I was seen by Dr. B. Fahnrich at AFC Urgent care in the Bronx. Dr. Fahnrich was amazingly accurate in his diagnosis, explained my condition and prescribed the correct medicine and within hours I began to feel better than I had in days! I was ecsatatic when I left the office knowing I finally saw a doctor that was Professional and accurate. I will continue to visit AFC Urgent Care as needed.
I will never use this urgent care again. I went there in Dec. 2019, showed my insurance card and my co-pay amount. I attempted to pay there but the receptionist told me not to. Since then I have received phone calls from their billing department telling me I need to pay a charge well over for what my co-pay is. I emailed them a copy of my insurance card and they told me it did not go through. I have always had health insurance, go to primary care doctors and never had this issue. A woman named Mary from billing called and even told me I had to contact my insurance! I told her I have sent my insurance cards to you and its not my job to settle an issue with the insurance company. I will NEVER go to this urgent care again. Their customer service in the billing department is horrible.
My second visit and am very pleased not much of a wait, very clean, great care. My first visit was excellent and the nurse was great he explained everything. 2nd visit nurse could have been a little more informative she seemed rushed although nice both times the doctors were very good...
I absolutely love this place. There is an urgent care 2 blocks away from me and I always opt out to come to this one which is a bit further. I never wait longer than 30 minutes and the people here are amazing. Dr. Alnachawati is great! His approach to medicine and what’s best for his patients are the absolute best. Both my children have been seen here as well and they love it here. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone
I have to say, Ive been coming here for years and today was the worst experience ever.My daughter was playing volleyball at school and hurt her ankle.Well, Delia Giler, ( took her vitals)comes in and the first thing she says to my 14 yr old daughter was Oh! Your fat. Started telling her to walk every day. She knows NOTHING about her! My daughter dances, does Taekwondo and the reason she was there PLAYS VOLLEYBALL! But she chose to judge a teenage girl! Its insane to me that a professional person would talk to a child like this to which I spoke to her about the word fat. You would think she saw how offended we were and stop, she did not! My daughter has a high self esteem. What if she didnt? Those words could have caused a child to harm themselves. You need to know who youre hiring!
The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The process was speedy and all my prescription medicine was forwarded to my local pharmacy and ready for pick up. I bring my wife and kids here for emergency purposes only and theyve been great.

The place is overcrowded and the wait is about two hours. The workers look miserable including the doctors. One amazing soul in the place is Jonathan the clinical lead!!! Took my autistic son chest X-ray and his patience and compassion for the patients is the only good thing about this place.

I just had an ankle sprain yesterday and the front desk staff (shoutout to Marissa and brandon) took me in early and got me set up. Dr. Fahnrich and the staff were super helpful with the x-ray and evaluation, eased my concerns and cleared me to race next month. AFC is amazing. I literally can not recommend this place enough. The staff was professional, as well as very friendly & accommodating to my very sick child. My son vomited in the waiting area and the staff didnt seem annoyed having to clean it up; they also saw him quickly despite a packed waiting room. These things and many more that may seem routine to staff, to a parent such as me make a difference & matter. Thank you 😉
The staff was great!! The staff in the front were pleasant & the staff in the back as well. Dr came in knew exactly what I needed & was out of there in no time. I was in & out in less than an hour. I also had an issue with the RX & I called to have them fix it, they corrected the issue right away.
When I arrived there, their were a few people ahead of me. It went quick. I was out in about 1 & a half. The doctor & nurse were really nice. Find out I had the flu. Well be going again. Very clean place.

Everyone was very professional and sweet and kind. They answered any questions I may have had including the time the results would take. I’ve been here many times since they first opened. Hello. I love Urgent Care, but this specific place is ghetto. I went in the night time approx 830 to 900. The girls at the front desk had a face that felt like they didn’t want to be there. I was standing in front of both or them. And not one asked me for help. Then I ask do I have to sign up? The girl just ask me for I’d n insurance, no welcoming or nothing. When I went inside, there was a Indian looking nurse young fellow, sorry for saying Indian, what he looks. He has a face as well, me as a people person, I decidedly to conversation with him, and he bursted our and said I’m here she since 7 in the morning. Very frustrated that he was there, furthermore expressing himself to me. So unprofessional. Felt so uncomfortable. Then the nurse kept telling me that I was not suppose to go through Urgent Care, I should had went to the ER. I told him I go to Urgent care all the time and never Was I sent to someone else. My son had hit his head, slipped and fell. So I brought him to Urgent Care. I would just like for someone to do a secret walk in. I only had a bad experience with this place. Hopefully things change.
Highest Recommendation if I could rate more than 5 Stars I will. AFC Doctors Express urgent care in the Bronx. The Staffs,nurses,doctors take care of any particular patient. First time visiting the office Im highly satisfied. Clean well organized place they treat you with care.
Customer service is good. Had COVID-19 test on site. Charged for a rapid test when their web site read free testing available. We have medicare and Emblem health medical coverage which we provided as proof. Their web site reads: How much does it cost to get a Covid test? That will ultimately depend on your insurance coverage. Presently many people with insurance are able to get tested at no charge. If youre insured, AFCs cash pay prices are highly competitive... I believe the information on their web site is misleading.
This was my first visit to this urgent care & I was pleased with my visit. I wasnt there for a Covid-19 test and the time I waited to be seen was quick! The receptionist was helpful with findings my insurance (bc I didnt have my card) and intake forms. Dr. Eric Ciardullo and staff answered all my questions with confidence. If need be, I will visit this urgent care again.

I am a nurse by profession, I have been to this urgent care on 3 separate occasion for myself and my little ones. I must compliment staff, Doctor, wait time, cleanliness and atmosphere. Not to mention they perform in house Labs, Cultures, Xrays , rapid strep test as well as rapid flu test. They also put out a call 24-48 hrs after being seen, checking up on your well being. Its nice to have a medical facility like this close to home. Keep up the Good work... 🤒👌🖒👏
Usually my go to urgent care. The wait time here is almost non existent everytime I go. The staff is great, incredibly professional, patient and informative. Came with my boyfriend on Monday we were in and out within an hour. However on Tuesday I realized my AirPods were missing from their case, when I called AFC they told me to come in and get them they had them.
My family of three just tried to have a Rapid Covid-19 test, and after getting there at 8:15 am and after waiting for 4 hours we decided not to wait any longer. The line was not moving at all. The whole consensus among us waiting was:what kind of process are they following in there? Now many people at a time are they doing per hour? Are they doing one test at a time? Mind you have to wait 15 minutes for the test results so I wonder the type of process if any they are following. I hope a government representative see this comment and behind an investigation. This is the same across all of the Bronx City MD too

Its odd to say I love this place but....I do. The service is impeccable! This is an alternative to the typical hospital fast trackbecause it truly is a quick process. More importantly, despite speedy service, the doctors dont rush through you. They make eye contact, greet you, and listen. I love this place
Went to this location for a Covid and strep test. We were even given a rhinovirus test for the first time. What a relief when that came back positive others negative. If they didn’t do the rhinovirus test for the common cold, we would’ve had to come back again for another Covid test in a few days. Also came here for our vaccinations. Smooth process, very nice staff and Dr. Michael is great!
This was my first time at a urgent care and Im glad I was referred by my pharmacy. Doctor express is very clean and the staff was very pleasant. I called first to make sure they took my health insurance which they did was there in no time and in and out within 15 min.
I have never experienced such a great place. I was in and out within less than two hours. from the front desk to the medical staff, everyone was pleasant and professional. I know that this is a new place, but I pray that they continue the excellent service for the future. I believe Ive found a new place to go.
Honestly I want to give them 5 stars so bad but there are two things I really hate about this place.1. Staff are very nice and welcoming however they lack courtesy! Courtesy for patient privacy. Just because you are behind the window doesn’t mean you should scream my business so the rest of the patient can hear. If my insurance is inactive, please tell in a calm manner and for god sake lower your voice.2. I think it is also unfair to ask me what my reason of visit is at the front window!!! My reason for visit should be between me and the physician.. there are too many people around to ask about my reason for visit at the window. They should really stop doing that! And again, they say it soo loud that everyone can hear! That same question should be taken off the fill out form because regardless, once the physician comes to see you, he/she will ask why you are there anyway!! So why do I have to mention it at the window where there are many people around, or write it on the form? That is inappropriate. Privacy is a big thing for me.
Today I went to this urgent care to get an x ray of my neck. Im having symptoms of whiplash and I was involved in an accident and also 30 weeks pregnant, after getting cleared that my baby was ok from the OB, the asked for me to follow up and get an x-ray if any pain arise. This was at approx 11am today. Which is exactly what happen, pain started to form on my neck and radiated to my head and shoulders.At approx 6 at 7pm on 4/19/22 I was seen by a provider who informed me that the medical director ( Dr. Michael Tugertman) is not approving an x-ray because am pregnant. I told her that my OB cleared me. She insisted they needed a written notice of this. My OB was closed for the day and I did not get an x-ray. This same office didnt have a problem doing x rays of my knee early in my pregnancy now theres a policy and they dont do it a anymoreThey said if I wanted an XRAY to go to the emergency room. This is negligent on their part they failed to give me medical services when I needed it instead they wanted to pass me over to the next provider who would be forced to see me in hospital setting. This is also discrimination based on me being pregnant, this is not the first time I have been discriminated against in this clinic but I just dismissed at that moment and dealt with my health issues i n another way. I dont have to tolerate this from this office anymore.I will be reporting this medical director to the NYDOH and when I see my lawyer this week for the car accident I will also mention this discrimination and negligent behavior this place rendered to me as a patient.I dont have a regular neck, there is a history of surgeries on my neck and it was vital to me and my Orthopedic surgeon who was off duty and office closed to get an x ray today. Again this is where I would regular go for last min ute medical needs and I had issues before but nothing pertain ing to negligence and discrimination. Im really taken aback by this.. Is like i didnt matter.
Went Jan 05, 2021 to get COVID testing overall visit was fine got called for the results on Jan 08 & got the antibody results the next day thru email.- Apart from the waiting which was bad. Got on line at 9:23am was seen till 1:03pm & there was only 19 ahead of me & 3 wasn’t even there for COVID testing. & 2 hrs 1/2 was waiting outside in the cold and then the rest was waiting inside & beware when giving your insurance and ID until they don’t give it back to you you not good cause some other guy got to go inside first because they got his ID & insurance back because the Medical Assistant that had mine although I gave it in first she got distracted and didn’t put it into the computer until after him which is why he got to be seen first. Also, make sure when they taking your blood or swab that it’s put in .. idk if it was just an off day for them but when I finally got seen the medical assistant that got me almost told me to go home before taking the sample I had to remind them that they still hadn’t done anything. They need to get more organized. They were polite and nice tho
Wow. I went to this urgent care sick as a dog. I was in and out within an hour, they were so thorough and gave me a copy of the X-ray on a disk. So professional and clean. I couldnt have gotten better treatment from my primary care physician...(needless to say I think I need a new pcp). There was a problem with one of the medications at the pharmacy and after I called AFC, they quickly rectified the issue. Absolutely 5 stars!
Thank you Dr Garcia you are an Awesome lady!!! great staff, fast service, follow up call, I felt as if they really cared. I am so lucky I came here as they helped me so quickly, I was in and out within a half hour or less and feeling much better now. I just hope they never change because this was medical care bliss....
This clinic may be better at treating adults but I’m very dissapointed with the care that I received for both of my children (infant and grade schooler) I took both of them on two separate occasions but had the same experience. We were taken in fairly quickly but had to wait a while inside the exam room for the doctor. Each time we saw different doctors, which is totally fine, but both rushed the visits, spent less than 3 minutes in the room and then rushed out. I felt almost like I was on the McDonald’s drivethrough line. Most importantly, both of my children were prescribed a medication to then later find out that it was not the medication that they needed after all because it did not address the problem. So there I was giving them a medication for 10 days that they did not need while what they actually had was getting worse. I understand that it’s an urgent care, and it’s nice to have the flexibility of seeing a doctor during late hours and whenever your pediatrician’s office is closed/booked. However, what good is it if you are rushed and don’t receive proper care especially when dealing with your children.
It was very crowded. The wait was about an hour. Many sick patients. Its flu season. The staff was good about keeping patients informed about wait times. The staff was very friendly. The doctor gave me a diagnosis. And answered my questions thoroughly. I rated this visit a 4 because it was cold in the waiting area.
I was unsure at first going to a quick fix location. AFC Urgent Care exceeds professionalism and Courtney. The staff is great and the Doctor was very knowledgeable and willing to go the extra yard. Im glad I went and would recommend this location to everyone.

Not bad. Ive been here twice, once because I was tired of my regular location and felt like death, the other time for a family emergency. Paperwork is simple, one page of information about you and a page you just sign for lab work. The wait was about 20 min for both a casual visit and an emergency, so thats a little disappointing for an urgent care. One doctor I cant recall the name of didnt explain meds to me. When I tried asking what each medication does and how they work together for my issue, he simply stated something along the lines of Its to cure your problem, waved me off and walked out the room. Very rude, and needless to say I didnt follow up with him. The second time around was for a family member and luckily we had a different doctor. This doctor, an Asian man I also cant recall the name of, was very caring and immediately recognized the situation as an emergency. He performed the physical exam, gave us a diagnosis, administered pain meds, and gave us discharge instructions in under 10mins. While he was instructing my family member on the situation, the nurse kindly suggested I pay the remaining balance up front so we could take a cab to our preferred hospital asap. Im not sure Id be back here for an emergency, but as a regular doctor visit this would be great.
The best Urgent Care providers in the Bronx. The staff is professional and the through. Dr. Millendorf and his team are the best. The wait time is minimum. For days I fought off going to the hospital to address my concerns , I went to Urgent Care and within the hour I was feeling better.
Excellent staff, location is great because its close to home and walk-in for Covid testing is a plus! It would be nice if the Covid test was done separately. The wait was very uncomfortable amongst all the sick folks and vice versa, ( Im sure they feel the same way). Maybe a separate waiting room should be considered if the space allows. Overall a terrific visit, thanks!
AFC Urgent Care is the best! The best staff and the best Doctor - Dr. Millendorf. He is very detailed and explains everything so, I can understand what is going on with my children regarding them being sick - especially my Daughter. The staff is very nice and respectful!!! Instead of wasting my time at the ER. I went to AFC Urgent Care, because it is close to my working place. I hurt myself at work and after 12.5 hours of work I didnt want to go farer out. To my surprise, it was busy, they had 6 or 7 patients, but after checking in and filling up some paperwork, I was called and immediately the Dr. came to see me, XRays were taken and in less than 2 hours I was home. Very profesional staff, clean facility and minimum waiting time. Very happy after all. Highly recommendable.
I approached AFC Urgent Care with a good deal of skepticism, worried about wait times and service, but was fed up with being sick for 3 weeks. I got in at about 5pm on a Wednesday afternoon and was seen by 5:20 and that included filling out new patient paperwork.The girl that brought me to my room was very professional and took my vitals and made me feel at ease about my potential experience with the doctor. Her name was Klivia and she was delightful to be helped by, and she informed me that she was a scribe who would be taking down all the doctors notes.The doctor that saw me was Doctor A, he made sure to run a couple of tests on me to see the nature of my infection which he informed me was likely an Upper Respiratory Infection. He went into detail about my symptoms, informing me and the scribe of the edema in my ear and the blockage causing my acute muffled hearing. He seemed very unworried about it which put me at ease. I was given an prescription for antibiotics and I was on my way after recieving my paperwork.Overall a wonderful facility! Will be back next time Im not well!
Very satisfied with doctors express urgent care. Every visit their wait times have been fast, staff members are friendly & very welcoming to patients. Doctors in this facility have always made great judgment on diagnosis and treatments. Highly recommended
I came in with my grandson who is 15 months old. He was wheezing and breathing very rapidly. You would think they’d prioritize their patients based on the nature and severity of their illness however that was not the case. After waiting in the exam room for approximately 1/2 hour for the Dr to come in I stepped out to ask one of the nurses when the Dr would be coming in cause my grandson was obviously having difficulty breathing to no avail. The comment I received was that he was second in line to be seen. After about 15-20 minutes that Dr finally came and said the baby needed a nebulizer treatment. This could’ve been done and assessed the minute we expressed the nature of his illness. Very disappointed at the time it took to have him looked at and treated especially taking his age into consideration.
Receptionist was nice. It was clean and I didnt wait long. I had X-rays done and the whole process from start to finish was about 30 minutes. Nurse offered water and it was clean with a T.V in examining rooms.
The entire staff from the front desk to the Doctor were very professional and polite. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them and will continue to utilize their devices. They have a great young team... Thank you all!!!
Recently had to utilize the urgicare clinic for my daughter, the physician was professional, approached my daughter with respect, and explained what he thought the possible diagnoses were and the testing he would provide to rule them out.The X-ray technician was great with my daughter he understood the need for asking permission, discussing the X-ray process, as well as acknowledging her visible apprehension. I usually always have a great experience at AFC.However, this one night my daughter and I had two separate interactions that made it less than the spectacular service I am used to receiving there.First off a young nurse came in and advised my daughter the flu test that would be provided wont hurt at all. Unfortunately that was not the case, the applicator was inserted too far into her nostril, and did in fact hurt her. I was okay with the interaction because she acknowledged my daughter was in pain and said sorry.Right after this encounter an M.A. entered the room, walked straight to the counter, removed the items for a finger stick, put her gloves on, forgot something outside, opened the knob, returned to the room with the same gloves on, still did not say a word to myself or my upset daughter, took her finger, and attempted a finger stick, which ended in the MA being stuck. Things happen for a reason sometimes, a lesson for all including to advocate for my daughter to ensure she has the best possible experience next time.I understand the need to accomplish tasks efficiently and in a time friendly manner, however that finger stick could have went much smoother if she had introduced herself, advised myself, my daughter/the pediatric patient of what was needed, and been a bit more attentive to her age specific needs i.e. Needing direction, a smile goes a long way, and acknowledgment of her feelings. Sounds like a lot but it would be great to take pointers from the 2m interaction by the X-ray tech or physician.I would recommend the facility since the turn around time to be seen is fairly quick, it was a busy night, the staff is usually polite and thorough, and the medications are sent promptly to the pharamacy.4 stars since I know their past history of excellent service.
The staff is extremely nice and efficient. The doctors are kind and very thorough. I feel confident that I am getting the best quality of care. The wait time is not at all long either. I took my husband there for what we thought was a bad cold. We waited 15 minutes max to be seen. The doctor diagnosed Bronchitis, treated him with the appropriate meds and he was better in less than a week. So I took my brother there for a swollen eyelid. They diagnosed him with Blepharitis, which is something he is prone to getting; however, his eye doctor said that it was just stys and they will go away on their own. They prescribed him an antibiotic cream for his eye, and warm compress, and the swelling went down in a couple of days. So it is without question that I would go to them with my urgent concerns as well.
This urgent care was highly recommended by my cousin so when my wife got sick I decided to give them a try. I waited about 15 minutes to be seen and doctor was friendly and knowledgeable. My overall experience was very positive.
I decided to go to AFC urgent care instead of the emergency room, I also looked at the previous reviews. Im glad I came! Very courteous front desk receptionist. They offered me and my Son Water, smiled the whole time, and the Doctor saw my son promptly, sent his meds to pharmacy and we were out on our way to pick up his meds. Out of all the urgent cares within the area this is by far the best one! Ive been here about 5x within the year for myself and with others. Wait time was anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes Max! Nurses and doctors are professional and have amazing bedside manner! If you want to be seen fast this is the place to go!

The name is perfect for this urgent care. You come in and you are taken in promptly. I have gone twice this year with my 1 year old. The front desk people are very welcoming and polite. The first time I went it was around spring and I was NOT pleased AT ALL!! I took my son in because he was sick with a cold and woke up with his eyes shut from an eye infection. I didnt want to wait until his doctors office opened the next day and took him in. The doctor assigned didnt even get close to the baby, he glanced at him and kept his distance, didnt check to see how congested he was or anything related, just practically said to me kids get sick, and made me feel like a first time mother (which Im not) and had never experienced a cold. Yes, I made a complaint about it, because even if its something minimal patients should get the appropriate assistance, especially kids. I gave this place a second chance recently and took him in again because the baby had a cold and was wheezing over the wknd. He was seen by Dr. Geevarghese whom was caring, profesional and attentive. She had him nebulized and gave him medication. The baby came out the office breathing better and in a happier mood.
I must admit that this is the one and only place where not only are you treated as a person you dont wait the to see a doctor. Doctors, nurses, and support staff expression everything in language one can understand and will continue searching for an answer to what ails you. It was comforting to receive a call from AFC Urgent Care a day later to check up on me. I highly recommend AFC Urgent Care to anyone who is tied of waiting what feels like forever in a waiting room or for an appointment.
Ive always gone to Doctors Express since it opened and had great experiences. However, this visit was different. I came in with an injure shoulder and seen a doctor Ive never seen before. He spoke very fast, did not understand him since he had a very strong accent, I felt I was being rushed and when asked a question he would ask another question without waiting for me to finish answering the first question. In the end he did not fully described the extent of my injury. Despite this experience, I will continue going to Doctors Express.
