I cannot recommend Tennessee Fertility enough! Dr. Montville, Sherri, and the entire staff made us feel SO cared for! They answered every single one of my many questions (over and over), loved on us through the hard moments, celebrated with us in the victories, and encouraged us through it all. My husband and I are SO grateful for the GIFT that is Tennessee Fertility. We are currently awaiting the arrival of our miracle baby boy in February, and would not be here without the incredible care of Dr. Montville and his team! Abundantly blessed by and thankful for Tennessee Fertility and would 1000% recommend them to anyone and everyone!
I attempted to start the process of gathering information and seeking treatment from this facility. The institute however, lacks transparency and is looking for insurance billing before discussing their services and fees schedule. You are required to pay $150 and complete a visit before they will release this information or let you talk to a financial advisor. Instead, the woman on the phone kept redirecting to national and state averages on cost. It shouldnt be difficult or require a visit before they can discuss the cost of IUI and services to support conception such as hormones to track cycles or donors. This was a terrible first experience and I would not recommend connecting with this organization.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Montville and the staff at TFI! It is clear we were not just another number here, but they were genuinely invested in helping us grow our family. Dr. Montville took the time to answer our many questions and helped us to stay positive during defeating moments. We are so thankful we moved to TFI!
We were fortunate to have Dr Montville as our doctor. This was our first IVF journey, with unexplained infertility. We had tried several other ways of conceiving without a single positive result.Everyone in the clinic is so sweet, you truly feel cared for. They keep you informed, and you feel like you can trust them and their recommendations. After our first transfer attempt, it stuck! Now we are expecting our first child Nov 1st!
Amazing so far. I have been to 6 clinics in 4 states both male and female and this clinic and provider has by far been much more competent, caring, attentive to needs and questions, proper bedside manner and the clinic has outstanding communication with an abundance yet not overwhelming amount of information. This type of specialty is extremely complicated and as a patient it is financially/physically/mentally draining in so many ways, so having a competent clinic and doctor that doesnt treat you as a conveyer belt is a life saving experience. Just in the beginning stages and will definitely come back to follow up on how it continues but so far I wish I didnt have to go through the things I went in other clinics and came here.
After some lab work came back abnormally low, it was recommended I follow up with a fertility specialist to discuss my options including potentially IVF/IUI/embryo preservation. Jessica in scheduling abruptly informed me “we don’t do those kind of appointments here” despite the scheduling website listing this as an option. Medical staff may be great, I wouldn’t know, but scheduling staff certainly did not make a good first impression.Thankfully, another facility in Nashville was able to schedule me, reassuring me that they see these kind of appointments all the time.
Although some of the doctors and nurses were nice. I was not impressed with the lack of communication with the clinic. I had sent important lab work for my doctor to review and didn’t hear back for a couple weeks. Then when we moved forward with the iui for the first time I felt a little out of the loop with how the timeline would be until it was about to happen. I was not impressed with my ultrasound tech for follicle scan. She was very direct and just said I had 2 mature follicles on the right. The weird thing is after that the nurse said I had one on the right and the left which was new news to me and not consistent with the ultrasound tech. I forgot to ask the size of them like most clinics tell their patients. I feel like maybe they are so busy they give you the bare minimum of info which sucks when you are paying out of Pocket and would like to be informed. Our iui failed.
During my many visits at this medical office I was not fully informed about my insurance or what costs would be required of me. Furthermore, when I was charged twice for a service I had to call and demand to get refunded. They didn’t apologize or seem to care. I also didn’t feel comfortable in the waiting room as there is not a lot of privacy and everything is out in the open. Also, when getting blood work it is in the wide open and there was not a way of telling which patients were getting called to draw blood the nurse literally asked everyone of the patients. There needs to be better systems of communications and patient care set in place to make patients feel valued and comfortable.
My husband and I tried conceiving for about 4 years after getting married. During that time, we also completed 3 medicated cycles with no luck through our OBGYN. After this we decided to take a break from trying due to our busy work schedules - in February of 2021 we unfortunately had an ectopic pregnancy. It was at that time our OBGYN recommended to seek help from a specialist and suggested we contact Dr. Montville. We are so grateful for this recommendation because it changed our lives forever. Dr. Montville and his team were always very pleasant and easy to work with. They were knowledgable and had the patience to answer all of our questions. We were fortunate enough to complete one round of stims, one egg retrieval and one transfer. Although we only had one viable embryo, we are so happy to share that the transfer was successful and we welcomed our healthy son in March! We are so extremely grateful for Dr. Montville and the amazing staff at Tennessee Fertility Institute!
Dr. Montville did a great job welcoming me to the Tennessee Fertility Institute family. He was very attentive and informative. He listened to all my concerns and was very thorough during our consult. I am looking forward to working with him and his team.
I visited TFI in March of 2021 and had a follow up appointment on March 15th. I was supposed to get a call or email from the financial coordinator and no one reached out to me. I finally sent a Message to someone in the portal and she got me the information I needed at the end of April (over a month and a half later). Unfortunately, once we were ready to move forward we reached out to let the financial counselor know (since no one from the facility ever reached back to me). She sent a message to the facility and still no call or email from Tennessee Fertility Institute a whole week later. So it’s been a total of almost 3 months and no follow up at all from the dr, nurses, financial coordinator or anyone at the facility. I would not pay $20k to a facility that can’t even keep up with me as a person in need of medical assistance.
Dr. Chris Montville seems extremely thorough! We have a game plan in place and he didn’t make everything about my weight which is amazing! Such a great doctor!
I appreciated having clear actionable steps in the fertility process. Our doctor was very nice in answering all of our questions
Very thorough and great at explaining the medical process involved.
Phenomenal overall experience!
