We had a very good experience with CCRM, and just had our baby boy, that we otherwise would not have had. We tried to get pregnant naturally for 2 years with no success, which brought us here. We had Dr. Barton as our doc and she was great. The entire medical staff was outstanding, including the ultrasound ladies and nurses. The clinic uses an online portal for communication and you get a response from medical staff very quickly, so we have no complaints there. For reference, we did one cycle of IVF, I was 37, almost 38 at the time of the egg retrieval. We got 2 healthy embryos out of it, one of which is our baby boy. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the finance department that didnt always seem to have it together. However, you are in good hands with Dr. Barton. Look up the success rates of her patients, she is ahead of almost or all other fertility doctors in Colorado in terms of live births count.
For us personally this was not a good experience. We felt like for the 5minute conversation with Dr Barton we had IvF was pushed hard. We went there as a referral from a friend and left very unsatisfied for the $400 consultation. When needing to do FU labs, I waited for my insurance to kick in to be told they run them in-house and it was going to be $660 because they don’t take my insurance for their lab. I asked to have them done as a send out and it was a hassle. I ended up having to call my OB for help with repeat blood work and they sent it to Labcorp within 5 minutes. The nurse sent me a Req for blood but marked it self-pay, when I asked for them to add my insurance for labcorp I never got a response. Still grateful for my OB clinic that helped me without a hesitation due to their lack of competency at CCRM. For a company who is suppose to be a support system to help people figure out infertility problems they were just more focused on collecting money. They had someone helping the front desk when I last went in and she is not understanding at all, a very stand off attitude about what insurance covers and doesn’t. I’m not dumb I know things cost money but if you are helping the front you need to learn some compassion. I decided to cancel all of my future appointments and will be seeking help from a different company.
I am a return patient of Dr. Barton and am an Ob/Gyn myself here in Denver. I refer all my patients to Dr. Barton and would send my family members too. Fertility journeys are difficult for so many reason and Dr. Barton is incredibly compassionate with excellent bedside manner and listens to all of your questions/concerns and addresses your care in an individualized manner. I cant speak enough positive things about my IVF care with Dr. Barton and her staff. She is simply the best.
Not using my real name.I was hesitant to post but I want to warn others. I did 2 rounds of egg retrieval for freezing at CCRM. The communication from staff is terrible. When I requested to speak with my doc (or any doc) because my first round was not looking good and I wanted to consider my options, I was told that it was not possible because my doc was on vacation. I understand people take vacations but when I’m paying ~$22k a round, I expect to be able to consult with a doc if things aren’t trending in the right direction. That was not permitted.During my consult, I was told that billing would check my insurance to see if it covered any portion of what we had planned, and would chat with me about my options. That never happened, period. I was told by a woman at the front desk that the billing person was not there and this “is not usually covered by insurance, it’s $20-25k.” She handed me a piece of paper with the total. I just stood there awkwardly and said ok.When I decided to do a 2nd round, and inquired about discounted pricing, the front desk person flatly said “yeah… we don’t do discounts”. That was incorrect, which I found out later when I told my doc I’d be using another clinic moving forward due to the lack of competitive pricing. Both cycles, billing waited until just days before I began my meds to ask for payment, with a threatening message that essentially said, “delay in payment may result in your start date being postponed”. So, you hear nothing and then it’s suddenly super urgent to get payment in immediately, and no one ever answers the phones! So you just have to keep calling and calling because you don’t want to be delinquent.Several times I tried to meet with the billing person while I was in the office for bloodwork, and was told that they were out for the day. At 3pm.I only interacted with my doc a total of 3 times in two cycles and retrievals, so temper your expectations around one on one time with your doc. My initial consult was long and detailed, but once I began the process (i.e. started paying), she was effectively not involved. When we had our “debrief” meeting after my second retrieval, she said “it was so great that I got to perform both retrievals!” In fact, she’d only performed one. Just check your patient’s chart before calling. When I had my retrieval procedure, I Ubered to the clinic bright and early, and had a friend planning to come pick me up after (no Ubers home allowed, which is standard). When the nurse came into the busy waiting room to bring me back for the procedure, she looked around and loudly said “Are you ALONE? You can’t be alone. You need someone with you, otherwise we can’t do the procedure.” I felt my face turn red and quietly told her that I knew the rules, I had someone coming to pick me up. It was a little insensitive considering the nature of fertility planning as a single person. Definitely room for improvement in terms of bedside manner.Lastly, I am well over a year out from my time at CCRM. I’ve not received a bill for the annual storage costs associated with freezing my eggs. When I reached out (twice to get a response), they told me that my account had been placed on hold due to lack of address. I sent my address, and said that it was troubling that my account is on hold and I received no notifications in the app or calls? The billing department said, “It is a glitch with our system. We do not get a notification when the account has been placed on hold. It basically shows up when we log into your account to check what is going on. I apologize. Your statement will be sent out soon.” This raises serious alarm bells. I’m not sure at what point they might dispose of eggs for lack of storage payment, which I don’t even want to think about. These are just a handful of examples, too.In sum, it is disappointing that the “top fertility clinic” in CO is such a mess. For this price point, service should be solid. I would not recommend them. Get your SHT together!Shout out to Haylie and Carolyn, who are GREAT nurses though.
I’ve had an overall really good experience at CCRM so far. That said, we’re a queer family using cryobank donor sperm without fertility issues and I’m a nurse midwife/healthcare provider and have good fertility insurance coverage, so my perspective may be different than someone struggling with infertility who is paying out of pocket. The reviews had me nervous, but I have overall positive things to say, especially about Dr. Barton. It is a large practice seeing a lot of clients, so sometimes you do have to advocate for yourself, but this is normal for most types of medical care, for better or worse. The nursing team and financial team are extremely responsive and clear and the team is overall compassionate. CCRM also is very up to date on protocols and does not push you to do things just to charge you. We have been to another local clinic for a consult just to see if we were missing something. We were not, CCRM was far superior even just from the first meeting, and we chose to stay with CCRM. If you need fertility services in the Denver area, I highly recommend Dr. Barton.
I received dishonest and unreliable service from CCRM. When scheduling my consultation, I confirmed via phone that:1) CCRM would bill my insurance for the consult 2) CCRM would be able to take our embryosI was then charged $500 out of pocket following our consult in February, only to be told that CCRM would not be able to take our embryos. This could have been shared with me prior to the consult, but it was not. I have made repeated calls to the financial services team to have this fee refunded and billed through our insurance. Multiple times, I have been assured that this would be addressed and Id receive a call back. I still have received no refund, nor a call back. I followed up multiple times and couldnt even reach anyone -- I was placed on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up on multiple times.I have to assume that this treatment is an intentional strategy for extracting money unethically from patients struggling with infertility, which is a pretty appalling approach for a fertility clinic. I can tell that this is the strategy because many other patients are leaving reviews with the same experience. I would recommend finding a clinic that respects patients time and mental energy...this is a pretty disappointing waste of both, especially while already dealing with the stress of ongoing infertility treatment.
My husband and I were referred to Dr. Kondapalli and I knew immediately it was not a good fit and here were the signs. When scheduling our first consultation, which was virtual, I asked if I could start doing the tests so at our first consultation, which was a month out, we could go over our lab results and talk about what’s next. I was told no. I quickly realized they were just wanting to collect money for a 15 minute virtual introduction where Dr. Kondapalli asked us questions from which we already submitted all the answers for on the paperwork we were asked to fill out. When I asked if she’s even looked at our paperwork, the face she gave me immediately made me rethink even meeting with her. Already not a good experience, but my husband and I proceeded. When we went for our second consultation, which was in person, to go over both myself and my husband’s results, Dr. Kondapalli immediately said we should do IVF. Although the success rate she gave us was extremely low and didn’t make sense, she urged us to start the process . When we asked for other options, she told us there really isn’t any other options. We asked about IUI, she said, I don’t think that would be the best result for you and continued pushing IVF. She made us think we couldn’t get pregnant on our own due to our age. When she left the room I was over it! The finance woman came in to talk cost with us and again, when we asked about IUI, she said, I wasn’t told that was what you wanted. We weren’t given options, we were told our success rate is low and we weren’t being heard. By the way, my husband and I were able to get pregnant on our own. If you understand that CCRM is strictly a business transaction then go for it. But if you are looking for a patient/doctor relationship where the doctor truly wants to do what’s best for you and what YOU want, this is not your place. I would recommend Shady Grove. CCRM is only there to gather your money and that is it. Listen to the reviews.
The finance team is incapable of billing correctly, following up, or reimbursing for their mistakes. It has been 10 months since we paid them thousands of dollars instead of our benefits team covering it due to their total incompetence, even though we work with one of their partners, and they still havent figured out how to get our money back to us. They dont follow up for weeks or months at a time. Would not work with them again due to this.
This clinic is highly efficient and all the staff are so friendly. They are incredibly responsive to messaging on their patient portal app and do a good job at keeping patients well-informed through each step of the process. From my experience, billing (self-pay) and scheduling was a breeze.
Glad to see I am not the only one disappointed with this clinic. It’s been a while since my last visit there and I am now in the midst of potentially a misdiagnosis from them. They are definitely just after the money and I don’t feel they are actually there to help people create a family. My case was not investigated and was just put through iui after iui when they probably knew it wasn’t going to work! The time and money spent between the Denver and lonetree clinic is embarrassing. I would have appreciated the honesty and investigation. I even missed a cycle because one of the girls never called and I had to pay for medications and everything all over again. I will never recommend this clinic. It’s hard enough going through fertility issues but to add a clinic who prides themselves on it, to only have dollar signs in mind is a shame. Save your money, your emotions, your mental well-being, and your health in general. DO NOT GO TO CCRM.
CCRM billed $400 for our first fertility consultation and required up front payment without insurance. They would not allow us to pay our copay and charge insurance first as is standard in health care. We should have only paid ~$40 copay for the appointment.I spent from August until January trying to obtain our refund and have the charges corrected. They charged us above what they are contractually allowed for the appoitnment, and insisted that we owed the portion they overcharged. I had to provide them with my EOB to prove they overcharged us based on their contractual agreements with our insurance. Finally an email with my EOB got them to refund the portion they overcharged. For the portion that my insurance covered that they needed to refund me, they would not accept any of the checks sent for payment by my insurance, despite having a contract with my insurance. Typically, insurance requires that insurance pays the facility directly and the facility must refund you if they overcharged. However, CCRM would not recieve either check despite, to reitierate, having a contract with my insurance. After 5 months my insurance gave up trying to pay CCRM directly so that CCRM could refund me, and my insurance refunded me directly for the costs covered by the insurance. In summary, I wasted many hours of my life trying to correct just the billing for the first visit. I can only imagine what larger bills might be like with CCRM. My husband and I did finally concieve at Shady Grove Fertility, after being placed on progesterone. We did not experience any billing errors and they were happy to charge insurance first and havr us pay the difference at the next appointment.
First I’d like to thank Dr. Barton and nurse Carolyn for their expertise, bed side manner and help with everything. Unfortunately, they were about the only two good things I can say about this clinic. While I felt a genuine concern and desire to see us have success from them the rest of the staff is pretty lack luster. All they care about is the dollar signs. The reason we chose CCRM was because my OB said we could choose from them or one other practice due to our insurance provider. Turns out that didn’t really matter as insurance covered absolutely nothing and we paid out of pocket anyway. We had numerous issues with the financial team to include them asking me a treatment course altering question as I was coming out of sedation from my egg retrieval before my significant other was even in the back with me. Subsequently, we spoke to the head of the finance department multiple times only to be told that we were being given some insignificant sum of money off our second cycle “as a courtesy to us” after we’d already agreed to doing two cycles for a lower package price. Beware they will nickel and dime you at every turn. We have relocated out of state and are searching for a new clinic at this time. We certainly learned our lesson and will be much more cautious this next time around. Additionally, I asked a question to one of the ultrasound techs one day because well, I’m not a medical professional and I didn’t really understand what I was being told. I was met with an attitude that left me in tears and my spouse was livid.Again, can’t say enough good things about Dr. Barton and Nurse Carolyn but the rest of the staff could do with some remedial customer service training. They really need to remember that people coming to them are most likely at one of the lowest points in their lives learning they’re unable to start the family they’ve always dreamt of without medical assistance, a little empathy and compassion would go a long way and serve CCRM well.
I would like to rate CCRM a five star. My wife and I worked closely with Dr. Sara Barton. She explained the process of pregnancy in a very scientific and understandable way so that we were aware of the problem and the approaches to fix the problem and the probability/statistics of pregnancy in each cycle. We followed her instructions and took medications prescribed by her. She also looked at the hormone levels carefully and provided follow-up suggestions timely. With her patient help, my wife was pregnant after several times of timed intercourse (we also tried IUI a couple of time but it didnt work out due to statistics, I would say). We appreciate that Dr. Barton did not push towards the direction of IVF and her suggestion is always from the standpoint of science and human caring. Now our baby was born, healthy. Really glad that we worked with CCRM.
It’s shocking the lack of care or support you would receive from CCRM.We found CCRM through my companies referral program and decided to move forward with visiting despite the terrible reviews due to the incentives of my wife and I would receive through my companies partnership. You will meet your Dr on the initial visit and everything from that point on is a nightmare. We could not get ahold of our doctor for questions we had and when we scheduled a follow up with her after some initial testing we got a call from the nurse letting us know they canceled the appointment for us because it was not “ necessary” for us to meet with them. We asked for pricing and were asked for our insurance card 7different times and told the finance team would reach out. Never got a call.We tried switch to a different office and maybe this was just the Denver office. We called the office in Lone Tree requesting a transfer to a new doctor and were told by scheduling they would reach out due to fact they needed manager approval to change our doctor. No call ever came and after reaching out and complaining for FOUR WEEKS asking again and again for mangers to just get scheduled during this emotional time. We finally got a call from an individual in the scheduling team (not the manager that had now been promised to call us 6 separate times) letting us know the soonest they could get us in would be in 16 weeks…..I asked would that have been the same time line had they just scheduled the first appointment like I asked four weeks earlier and they stated no but since they couldn’t get us switched to the new doctors her schedule filled up. Oh but their manager would call us to explain, and surprise surprise. No one reached out again.Fast forward to this week and we can’t even get our records for our new clinic and when you call in the use a cop out stating it’s a third party that send them out and they have no control. I asked if I could just pick a computer of OUR records and they stated they would need to use the third party. We have been trying for over two and half weeks and still waiting on them. There truly could not be a worse clinic in America and what a joke of a team. Fertility is already an emotionally trying road to navigate and I promise if you choose to use CCRM to help you in the process you will waste your time and have zero support both in the physical or emotional.
I really want to give a better rating because Dr. Barton truly seems like a nice person but she lets her medical knowledge get in the way of listening to her patients. I have no issues with the nursing staff, they have been wonderful.I did have a lot of issues with their financial department, Kelsey was less than helpful, usually irritated to talk with anyone and was horrible at getting back to me. At one point they had completely incorrect information regarding my insurance, later found that they got it mixed up with someone else’s. When I initially asked about financing options, they basically said there weren’t any unless I did IVF. When I asked about it being submitted to my insurance, they refused to submit and said I had to pay them. When I asked for another point of contact, they kept giving me the same person back. I felt alone and like I was going in circles, more stressed instead of feeling like they were helping. They way they would talk to me was as if I didn’t deserve help or answers and I felt ashamed to be having fertility issues in the first place. My issue with Dr. Barton was when she told my husband and I that we had a 2% chance of conceiving on our own!! Those chances are extremely low for two young and healthy people in their 20s. I told her time and time again that I use to have regular cycles and I felt that something changed or that my cycle was altered from a new migraine medication I was on.As a nurse myself, you’re always taught to listen to your patient, they know their body best, Dr. Barton unfortunately failed in this area. She refused to listen or consider the idea that this was a cause, instead insisted my issue was PCOS (but stated it was “mild”), despite her ONLY grounds for diagnosing this was an ultrasound and irregular cycle (which I told her wasn’t usually me and later found was contributed from my migraine medication). For those who don’t know, PCOS is a very loose diagnosis for a collection of 3 or more symptoms… basically a title given when they don’t know what is actually going on and don’t have a true answer to why you can’t conceive. I did not present with 3 symptoms, but yet they still labeled that. I asked for repeat labs (for my prolactin level, I had a theory it was jumping from my migraine med) and she seemed resistent but finally agreed. Dr. Barton just kept saying “regardless it won’t change our treatment plan”. She seemed a little cold and insensitive to the diagnosis/new title she just gave me. That was hardly comforting.I later went off of my migraine medication since I knew this was the cause, from seeing my body changes, seeing my prolactin lab over double since before I started, and doing my research and I kept tracking closely… I successfully conceived on my own!!When my prolactin levels came back (over doubled), Dr. Barton didn’t even acknowledge that I was correct or contact me on next steps to get my cycle back on track. I spoke with her nurse and she even said “ya it sounds like you did your research and were spot on with your theory”. At least that was one person who believed the patient since the doctor certainly wouldn’t.It’s sad to say but I honestly feel like they told me the odds were low just to get me to start treatment. I’ve been to two fertility clinics in the Denver area and I honestly feel so bad for people that have true conception issus or are made to believe they have conception issues. Keep tracking and keep trying!!
This place is the pits. The billing is inaccurate, and those who work there are rude. Good luck getting through to someone to make an appointment—it’s usually an hour ordeal, and that’s if the phone system doesn’t mysteriously disconnect. The staff does not timely answer questions or process prescriptions—we missed a procedure because the nurses didn’t bother to order the medications until a week later, and after several frantic calls. The clinic itself is very liberal with infertility diagnoses, which both makes sense from the risk its patients face and their financial incentives. That makes seemed to me, but something to keep in mind. We have been happy with Dr. Barton but it is so hard managing the frustrations, terrible bedside manners, and indifferent incompetence of the office that we would seek out another provider if that was realistic.
Don’t really know where to start, but I would encourage anyone and everyone to not come to this office.First of all, there are many other ways and options that we have found out they’re much cheaper for my wife to get pregnant. Unfortunately CCRM only told us about IVF which is $26,000. Seems like they only wanted to go extremely expensive route instead of trying other options. We have found a kind other, doctors office who is willing to try many other alternatives besides this extremely expensive method. The Doctor who saw us was Dr Kondapalli. The more frustrating part was, we were told that we were going to have the basic work up package and everything would be covered/ included in the package. About two months after leaving the doctors office feeling like we had paid for everything, we even left the doctors office, paying the complete price for the basic work up package then also paying out of pocket for an ultrasound, which was OK with us .The front office did not tell us of any more additional costs said we were good to go. Now two months down the road we have gotten multiple bills for expenses that were not in the basic work up package that we were told was in the basic workup package. Including a semen analysis that is supposed to be included in the basic work up package but Dr. Kondapalli, Did three special tests that were not included in the workup package. She not inform us that she was going to do this. We received this bill and called the financial department who verbatim told us.I am sorry that you did not know about the extra cost. I’m sorry that you were not informed about the extra cost, but unfortunately the test were done and you are going to have to pay this bill. So I will pay the bill but not without warning others about this companies, malpractice of financials I had no idea of the rating of this company and would have never brought my wife there if I would have known so to be honest for all the disappointment and financial hardship, we have experienced because of this company at the end of it it is my fault. I should’ve done more research about the company that I chose.Do not bring your wife here to try to solve your fertility issues. There are many other places with kinder hearts, and people are willing to work with you without trying to destroy your financial future.
CCRM is amazing and helped my husband and I get pregnant after almost 3 years of trying. Dr. Barton is incredible and such a fantastic doctor who is honest, reliable, and listens to you. She recommended testing to help figure out our infertility struggles and we cant thank them enough for the ability to have a child through their help and clinic! I think its important to understand that most infertility clinics are out of pocket expenses and they dont hide that information - they are straight forward and help you understand your options. It is also not an overnight process and takes time to figure out the best plan for you and your partner - CCRM was patient, kind, and supportive during our year and a half of working with them and we are so thankful!
CCRM was fantastic- my husband and I froze embryos there and the detail and care we received was incredible. Highly recommend- very trusted name and reputable facility across the country. Would absolutely go back again even though they are not the cheapest. Quality Quality Quality!
Decided to to go with ccrm bevause of its strong reputation. Tried 3 cycles of ivf without success. Not mad at ccrm for that. If the quality of your eggs are bad, then they are bad. Ccrm cant fix that. Not sure this facility is any better than others. The 3 stars is not for the clinical side. Ive been OK with the clinical care and advice that Ive recieved, even though some of it was pseudoscience. The 3 stars is for the business side. When its time for upfront payment, ccrm is mildly aggressive. And I get that. Ivf isnt cheap and they need to make sure that the funds are there. But when its time for a refund (i.e. One pays for embryo transfer up front which is around $5k), they say its policy that it takes 3 weeks for services to post from the most recent cycle, even though I made payment for the embryo transfer nearly 6 months ago during the first ivf cycle. Embryo transfer payment should be made at a specified time (i.e. 2 weeks prior to transfer). Will ccrm give me interest with my refund (rhetorical question)? Its just frustrating that they expect prompt and full payment but that is not reciprocated to the patient when a refund is due. Not saying they have a nefarious plot to keep your money or they are using delay tactics, but prompt attention and timely refund would be appreciated. Im still waiting for my refund and its almsot been 3 weeks.Other complaints. You need a blood test for communicable diseases within 6 months of a cycle. They dont let you go to another lab, and ccrm charges you roughly 400 to 500 bux. Thats just you. Your partner is another 400 to 500 bux. I asked my pcp about this test. He said he can run it for a fraction of that cost. I agree with other posters to some level. You do get a feeling that ccrm is primarily a business, though my experience wasnt nearly as bad as waht others have posted. Also it feels like the deaf leading the deaf. The clinical side doesnt seem to communicate with the business side very well. In preparation for my 3rd cycle, my doctor wanted to slightly modify protocol. I agreed to try it. When it came time to pay, I made full payment, only to get a call a few weeks before my egg retrieval that I have to make an additional $600 for that small change in protocol. I wasnt mad about paying that. I will pay for services rendered. But what does make me mad is ccrm calling me to make additional payments when I had already gone through the efforts of securing all funds and thought that I had made payment in full.Im glad to have gone through ivf as now I wont have regrets about not trying. Would I recommend ccrm to others? Not sure. Anecdotally, they have the most experience with infertility, and they have a world class reputation (Denver location in particular). But the world class experience should be from the top down, not just clinically. The doctors, nurses, and ancillary staff are courteous and nice.On a side note. Ive been told by my obstetrician and other physicians not affiliated with ccrm that the medicine being practiced at ccrm isnt better than any other fertility clinic. The medicines that you inject during stimulation is the same all across, and the skill level required for egg retrievel is on par with other fertility specialists. However, where ccrm has an advantage over other institutions is apparently the laboratory they use for eveything that is needed after egg retrieval. In the end, ccrm did not translate to success for me. Your mileage will obviously vary. Would my perception of ccrm change if it led me to have a baby? Of course it would. But it wouldnt change my opinions about them in reference to above.I am a woman in my early 40s.
Believe the reviews - this place is awful, all to do with management and communication. While a patient, there were so many missteps and we didn’t have a great experience, so my husband and I decided to try a different clinic in Denver. After receiving our signed request to release records on February 28 (confirmed by receptionist at the Rose location) CCRM still had not sent our records to the new clinic by March 20. After I went into the Rose location and followed up in person, I received a call the afternoon of March 20 that my records would be sent to the new clinic by the following day. It is now three days later and my new clinic still does not have the records. When I called CCRM again today, they asked me for the fax number — this is all information they have on the forms they received almost a month ago. Trying to have a baby is stressful enough, don’t waste your time here.
We are so, so grateful to all CCRM staff and Dr. Kondapalli! Walking through the door the first time was a little scary and unnerving as you dont know what to expect. Dr. Kondapalli was the best doctor we could have gone to. She was thorough in her explanations about the process and treatment options. She answered all of our questions and worries with compassion and was our biggest cheerleader throughout the process. The entire team was fantastic as well. We felt extremely supported by everyone at CCRM. The hardest part for us was actually graduating after two successful IVF cycles as we knew we would no longer be going to CCRM. We have already recommended CCRM to friends who are also going through infertility and we truly cannot say enough good things about CCRM and our entire experience. Thank you so much!
Could be good, as long as you are willing to pay 100% out of pocket. Two weeks before your cycle starts, youll get a courtesy reminder that you owe almost $30 grand in 7 days or they will postpone it. They refuse to work with insurances, and when we spent several days dealing with that on our own, we find out that their web of outside entities that are ALSO OWNED BY CCRM, are outside of any network so no insurance will cover it. This is not the norm for any medical procedure. When we would try to talk to someone in finance, they would return our phonecalls several days later and were rude. They refuse to talk to you about anything. Obviously CCRM doesnt want or need your business. They seem to think their services are so elite that they dont need to take insurance. Whatever it is, the lack of respect from the business side left a very bad taste about the integrity of the company as a whole.Dr Kondapalli seemed to be good and unfortunately tarnished by the poor business practices of the finance department. I tried calling the practice manager, and finance supervisor and they didnt even have the decency to return my calls. Although it seems that the above experience is the norm for CCRM.
This is a money churning practice. I felt like I was cattle being put on a conveyor belt.I believe I have resolved my issue with your medical director Dr schoolhouse. If he would like to post the transcript of our interaction, I would more than welcome that. The public deserves to hear it.
Dr. Kondapalli is great! She has been my doctor through IVF and two babies now (my other doctor left the practice to move out of state and Dr. K joined between my first and second babies) and I have used CCRM Denver for 3 pregnancies. Dr. Kondapalli is very knowledgeable and kind and is willing to answer any and all questions - and do what it takes to get you pregnant! The billing department and front desk are challenging to deal with at time but the most important thing to remember is that you are working with the BEST LAB in the country and, quite possibly, the world! I highly recommend this clinic to anyone I know who is starting their infertility journey.
Wasted money on consult. Doctors are condescending and judge you during visit. We figured you are paying so much money to them but they don’t even answer emails or phone calls. Takes 2-3 days to respond. This place seems purely business and transactional as opposed to helping you to grow your family. They have a cold, snooty, and arrogant attitude when talking to you which is a shame especially when patient are vulnerable and going through a stressful time starting their family. Would not recommend if you are looking for a personable experience. This place was not a good fit for us.
Too large and business like. The doctors and nurses are very knowledgeable and professional, but after 2 rounds of IVF I would not recommend CCRM to anyone wanting a more personalized caring experience. We rarely saw our doctor, and often a different nurse each visit. They were also not very compassionate or willing to work with work schedule limitations. We are now working with Dr Smith at Rocky Mountain Fertility Center and it has been night and day. We see Dr Smith and the same team at every visit, and they are super responsive and clear with communications.
1 star is too high for CCRM. My wife and I spent eight months being manipulated and dragged around by the horrible, unprofessional staff. This “clinic” is ran by a bank and it shows through the employees. The doctors take no time to actually speak with you in person, but will charge you outrageous pricing for a 7 minute phone call where they tell you everything is just “fine” and “normal”.The nurses make you feel like you are inconveniencing them. You don’t get a dedicated nurses contact info to actually talk to them when you have questions on things they don’t go over. Inaccurate information was given by multiple nurses on multiple occasions and in the waiting room of all places. When you “complain” the “lead” nurse will then tell you that she will take over any cases that are deemed “difficult” but won’t actually help you feel comfortable, just that her nurses are great.Finance team is horrible, don’t run things through insurance accurately and tell you it’s your fault.Overall unprofessional, rude, and do not care about you. After the fourth IUI cycle we had already decided not to return, however after learning we were not pregnant, we held off on calling for a few days to help us process our next steps. Two and half weeks went by and not a single person from CCRM reached out to learn the results or check in.On top of all of that, they will withhold your records from other doctors. No response for over a month after the request for documents, and took us calling multiple times to eventually get them.Don’t waste your time or sanity going to this place, even if your doctors tell you it’s the best clinic in CO, they absolutely are not and they will make your whole experience miserable!
The billing practices here at CCRM are unethical and I feel like a dollar sign not a human. They accept patients with insurance (a huge benefit to them), but they will not bill your insurance company unless you have met your deductible. I called before an appointment with my new insurance information and they would not take it over the phone and said to bring it to the clinic. When I showed up with the card, they said they didnt have time to call benefits so I would have to pay cash for my visit. This is how it started and ever since then Ive been trying to get out of the mess their indifference has created. They refused to call my benefits administrator of my plan to get my benefits because they were a third party and went to Anthem directly, which I have been informed will give them inaccurate information and they did. I even had my benefits administrator call them to give them benefits while I was on the line and they refused to accept her information as valid and didnt like to hear that what they were doing was illegal. This resulted in a heated fight between the billing manager and my insurance rep and then we were hung up on.They wont let you leave the clinic without paying cash in full for services that you may have coverage for. I have a co-pay plan and discovered that during the phone consult with the physician, they had charged my credit card in full for the visit when it should have only been $25 (this ultimately had to be corrected on the back end when the claim was paid). This is one of the only claims that has been submitted in the months I worked with them. I was been told that they will eventually bill all the claims once you are done with treatment, but have yet to see this happen consistently, several months out of treatment. They will only give you claims reimbursement forms for their out-of-network lab that they force you to use and not things that should be covered and in-network. They should work with you to send lab orders to in-network labs that are not specialty like blood pregnancy tests and thyroid panels. They have no incentive to bill claims because they have already collected cash up front. All claims should be billed for covered benefits or that is a violation of their contract with the insurance company. They hold onto credits on your account and they do not inform you. I have been told that they require the patients check their EOBs and request any form of overpayment. They told me they do not have enough staff to make sure everyone gets their money back. Even when they are charging for services if you look on the HSA/FSA receipt, you can see you have a credit, but it will never be offered to you unless you ask.I have a number of issues with billing that Ive called to try to correct for the past five months and they dont ever get resolved. I always hear, We will send this to accounting and then nothing happens. I even wrote an email to my nurse telling her to thank my physician, but I was going to another clinic due to the billing office. I got no response, which is really poor decorum.Fertility treatment is stressful enough without having to deal with billing issues and a staff that refuses to work with you. I went to another clinic and was relieved to realize they actually bill insurance and abide by the rules of their contract. If they are doing this to me, they are doing this to ALL their patients.I could go on and on about how many hours I have spent dealing with this and how many tears have been shed over their lack of empathy. The care has been mediocre from a revolving door of nurses who dont read your chart, ineptness on basic medical knowledge (e.g. having to explain to a NP what a pregnancy drug category was), and having to repeatedly send messages because their patient portal doesnt work well. As my benefits administrator said, find another clinic and never go back there.
We saw another RE before going to Dr. Barton at CCRM that ran some blood tests, led me through failed Clomid trials, and then wanted to start IVF treatments. Since we didn’t feel like the first RE was very through, and knowing that CCRM has the best IVF success rates, we decided to start over with CCRM. Dr. Barton began by running much more through tests and immediately found the issue – my uterus was filled with scar tissue from my c-section and therefore I couldn’t get pregnant. Dr. Barton performed a surgery to clear the scar tissue in their beautiful surgery center and I got pregnant naturally months later. Once I got pregnant they monitored everything around my pregnancy until week 8. Their care was first class, as well as all of their facilities and communications. I’ve never received such wonderful healthcare. I should note that CCRM wasn’t covered under our insurance, and they’re more expensive than other places we looked at, but you get what you pay for – quality and success. We are so thankful to Dr. Barton and her team for being so amazing to work with and making our dreams come true.
Dr. Barton is amazing! We were so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with her during our time at CCRM. From the beginning, she took the time to get to know my husband and I and understand our needs, and of course to share important information about our journey along the way. She is extremely thorough, very knowledgeable, and kept our best interest in mind. Our nurse, Carly, was extremely responsive, always took the time to answer questions and always helped to make sure we understood what we needed to do throughout our journey. I couldnt have asked for a better support system from her and the rest of the staff. I can recommend Dr. Barton and the staff at CCRM with no reservations and cant thank them enough for all of their help and guidance throughout our journey.
Update: My first IUI 5 years ago resulted in my beautiful daughter. 4 subsequent IUIs yielded no pregnancies. But Dr Barton was always there when we needed. She let it be known IVF was our best chance, but let us try as many IUIs as we wanted. I never felt pressure to go to IVF. Luckily, our insurance changed, and we were able to do IVF this year. First transfer resulted in my current pregnancy. Ive worked with three different nurses throughout the years and always felt supportive. If youre looking for a small town, hold your hand type clinic, CCRM isnt it. But if you want results and your best shot at growing your family, CCRM is your answer. Im so grateful for all they have done for my family.
UPDATE: I would like to add that CCRM responded that they provided me calendars stating that I should not get pregnant during the process but I was ALREADY pregnant before they sent me ANY information. This is confirmed by their own assessment of the fetal development and ultrasound. This business is absolutely atrocious. Please read about my experience and seriously consider moving forward here.I went to CCRM to get fertility testing in March. On March 21st I received results back and was told i have diminished ovarian reserve and that my chances of conceiving naturally were extremely low. I was told IVF with an aggressive protocol would be my best option. I received that bad news and then had to wait one month for a regroup to discuss next steps with my doctor. The following month I went to my regroup and was given my protocol which was a month of priming hormone meds which would start in May. After the May priming meds, I would start injections in June, and a tentative retrieval date for June 14th. From my regroup until today, I have done numerous blood tests, imagining exams, etc. I also had to order $7,000 worth of non-refundable IVF meds.Well, I found out yesterday that I have been pregnant since mid April. I was pregnant almost the entire time I was in CCRM care. I was pregnant when they told me to start taking priming medications including testosterone. Certain priming medications are extremely dangerous for pregnant women. Testosterone is toxic to fetuses and is very well documented to cause serious birth defects. Prenatal and neonatal testosterone exposure can cause sexual dimorphism in human behavior, including social development, as well as birth defects impacting genitalia development. Meaning even small amounts of exposure to testosterone in pregnant women can cause little boys to develop female genitalia and features, and little girls to develop male genitalia and features. So now here I am, pregnant and being told by CCRM that they can no longer do anything for me. I have spent over $10,000 on IVF prep that I will not be able to move forward with and will not be able to get money back for. I have a poor outlook on my pregnancy and have unintentionally harmed my baby due to their guidance. I was pregnant all along, without any assistance from CCRM. And now I am in a far worse position than I was before I contacted them. This company is not ethical. The amount of emotional distress I have been though since first contacting CCRM has been insurmountable. The experience of infertility is already stressful, scary, and sad at times. CCRM has done nothing but increase the pain a diagnosis of infertility can cause.
Since a couple of these reviews are written about a completely different fertility clinic, I thought it would be important to add my review.CCRM has gotten me pregnant twice through IVF. One of these pregnancies resulted in a beautiful baby girl and I am currently pregnant and due later this year. While it is true that they do not spend a lot of time figuring out how to save the patient money, they are extremely knowledgeable in the field and are focused on keeping very up to date with their technology and research. We go to the Rose location and everyone Ive interacted with there has been very nice, especially my nurse, the ultrasound technicians and the woman who draws blood. I also think Dr. Kondapalli is professional, caring, and extremely intelligent. And of course, I cannot argue with the results!
Edit to the review below: CCRM has followed up consistently after the challenges originally outlined below. I have amended my stars from 1 to 4 as a result.Very disorganized office and lab. CCRM falsely informed me that I had high Potassium levels, prompting an ER visit due to concerns about being high-risk for heart palpitations. Turns out their lab took a bad sample, and my Potassium levels were completely normal, which I found out after I got re-tested at the ER. CCRM took no responsibility for their mistake and just responded with a “woops” email in my client portal. CCRM also told me they were waiting on me to send them medical records from a previous surgery, but I had already brought in the records in person, and had even watched them make copies during my previous in-person visit over a month prior. After the Potassium incident, I waited for one month for them to follow up with me for an appointment, but they never called me. I called in and made my own appointment. However, 15 minutes before my appointment today, I realized that I didn’t receive the telecom details. I called the office to ask for the telecom details, but it turns out they had forgotten to put me on the schedule, so I lost the appointment that I had anxiously been waiting for. I now have to wait another 10 days for an appointment with the Doctor.I have been very vigilant and organized, and started this process in early August 2020, i.e. 3 months ago. It’s now November, and I am not making any progress due to their lab errors and administrative mistakes. I’ve had a very frustrating experience so far, but have gone too far down the path with CCRM, with all of my tests, labs, and records being with them. I will gladly change my review once CCRM gets their act together.
Didn’t have the greatest of experiences here. They are transactional, impersonal and are cold—not at all empathetic to women who are struggling with this ordeal physically and emotionally. They bounce you around between various nurses and you just feel like a number- unimportant. No resources or support groups offered to help you cope with your emotions, to help you get through everything. I did one unsuccessful cycle of IUI here and no one bothered to follow up to see how it went/ how I’m doing. Really disappointing for such a well known establishment.
CCRM has changed my and my husbands life with the blessing of our son. We worked with Dr. Surrey and he could not have been more compassionate, intelligent and determined to help us in our journey to becoming parents. The nurses were incredible when it comes to answering all the questions that come with such a confusing time and they were truly our cheerleaders through the whole process. We feel lucky to have worked with the best fertility clinic out there and absolutely recommend CCRM to anyone going through fertility issues. From their Doctors, their nurses, the lab, even to their folks at the front desk, CCRM sets the bar.
Be incredibly careful with paying $350 for a consultation. I spoke with two different people on two different occasions regarding a specific surgery. I was told by both that CCRM has two doctors that can perform the surgery, but I would need to send them medical records and pay $350 for a consultation. I asked to speak with some about the cost of the procedure. After being transferred to multiple people/departments I reached someone in scheduling for the surgery center. He explained they do not do that procedure and is not sure why the other departments said they did.If I had not been diligent with getting an estimate I would of wasted $350 and my time. Be incredibly cautious.
We cannot say enough great things about our experience at CCRM!! They have a very professional staff who is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Dr. Kondapalli spent a great deal of time with us explaining her plan and what we could expect. She was exactly correct down to the exact number of healthy embryos she expected we would obtain. She was thorough, confident and sympathetic. Our daughter now has a healthy baby sister to look forward to growing up with!
A disaster of a “clinic” and they should lose their license for negligence and/or malpractice. They missed a major medical issue that our IVF clinic caught instantly. They constantly tried to overbill, we only saw our doctor once after three rounds of IUI, and just wasted our money and time. They were also always slow and very rude. I can’t recommend them less.
I cannot believe the service I had at this clinic. From our initial visit, I didn’t feel right but I figured I’d give it another chance. In our first visit we paid over 350 for our consultation(without even looking at my chart referred to them by my obgyn), then after sitting with their financial department one of their staff literally insulted me in reference to how my husband is a nice guy for offering to pay for my produces. She stated, “yeah, men always get it easier but how sweet... hes willing to give you some of his money.” He’s my husband lady... we are literally doing this together. Besides the terrible bed side manner. I reluctantly tried to stay with them. They told me that everything is paid for upfront and they would get in touch with my insurance company and give me a credit so I could finish out my tests. After calling for a month and a half I finally reached someone who told me, “oh yeah you have a credit now... let’s do your husbands test first since it’s only 75 and then we can work through yours.” We make my husbands appointment, he shows up and they ask him for 700 dollars upfront. Trying to understand why, they continue to argue with him and then finally admit...”oops that was our oversight. It’s only 200 I guess.” Again, we ask why, and they proceeded to tell us even though we were referred..well it doesn’t count. After rude staff members, a terribly unreachable financial department, and zero communication with the doctor since my first consultation, I gave up and asked for a refund,(which I’m sure will take weeks.)Supposedly a manager will be calling me to hear about my experiences there, but I doubt that since every time I’ve tried to reach someone there’s no help. They really go out of their way to make you feel like a number and not a patient. I’ll be letting my obgyn know how terrible the entire experience was and taking my family somewhere else. I guess if your not loaded or flying in from another country, this clinic doesn’t make time for you. For many women the stress of having trouble conceiving is enough, the last thing they want is to feel belittled or like their situation doesn’t matter. Too bad my first experience with a fertility clinic was with CCRM, but now I know. Save yourself the time and look elsewhere.
My husband and I had been trying to conceive for 2 years before coming to CCRM in 2017 at the recommendation of my OB/GYN. I’m not sure I will ever be able to adequately express my gratitude and appreciation for the entire staff at the CCRM Rose office. Our doctor, Dr. Kondapalli, is so incredibly knowledgeable, kind and patient. She sat down with us to explain the whole process and she also listened to our wishes and concerns as we got started. We attempted 1 round of IUI but wanted to move on to IVF after it was unsuccessful and Dr. Kondapalli was completely supportive. After our first embryo transfer was unsuccessful, Dr. Kondapalli actually called to check in and she made changes to our treatment course for the second attempt. Our second transfer in November 2019 was successful and we now have a 6-month old baby boy. Our nurse, Angelica, was fantastic as well. Answered questions when we had them and supported us throughout. Additionally, the ultrasound techs, phlebotomists, nurse practitioner (Erin), and front office staff always made us feel that we were more than a number and recognized us as we came in for the 5th day in a row sometimes. There were a few bumps along the way (like a miscommunicated change in meds that delayed our second retrieval a month) but mistakes happen and it wasn’t the end of the world. We actually had a number of people (doctor, nurse, genetic counselor) apologize for that as well.IVF is a really physically and emotionally taxing experience and we couldn’t have asked for a better group of practitioners and providers to help us get to our son! We are eternally grateful.
We cant thank Dr. Barton enough for her support and expertise in helping us get pregnant. We felt supported the whole way through and everyone in the office was always so kind. We are so happy we chose to go with CCRM. Dr. Bartons personal attention was also outstanding. She called to congratulate us, and sent a baby onesie and card when we found out the good news.
Our experience here was terrible. We were assigned an incompetent nurse named Carly. She failed to give accurate instructions on how to take all the medications, and failed to order all the medications that the doctor prescribed. I honestly dont know how she managed to get through nursing school. She never got back to us on multiple occasions during business hours on a Friday when we were awaiting instructions before the weekend. We ended up trying to call the after hours line at the office, which was no help because they just told us to they didnt have enough information and to call back during business hours on Mon. Medication that was supposed to be taken on Friday was postponed to Monday because our nurse never ordered it and never got back to us!! At one point she told us that one of the medications was supposed to be frozen, but then called back hours later to say that she got that wrong.I get that different people have different experiences and some employees are better than others. However, the structure for quality assurance in this organization is laughable. When we brought our concerns to CCRM, we were told that the director (who normally dealt with these issues) had just left for vacation and the clinical managers first day was the day before so she wasnt up to speed yet. It was frustrating enough it took multiple days of phone calls and being on hold just for them to tell us this, but basically they just told us that they werent going to do anything about it. Subtext being, youre in the middle of a medical procedure, what are you going to do? Cut it short and go somewhere else? Go F--- yourself. At least thats what I heard.I cant help but wonder if the only reason we had such a low yield is because of Carlys incompetence. I cant begin to describe the frustration when you and youre partner are doing everything right, following all the steps, and yet through someone elses screw ups things still go wrong. And on top of all that, CCRM just does not seem to care how stressful the whole situation can be and they dont seem to care that their employees cant handle basic instructions.
I worked with Dr. Barton and think the world of her. She is smart, compassionate, listens attentively, and made me feel at ease in a high-stress situation. She was thorough in her explanations, always reviewed my entire file before we met, and asked me how I felt. I found the clinic administration to be efficient, knowledgeable, and kind. Ive been to the Denver and Lone Tree offices; I was always impressed with their timeliness.
The financial department is not only terribly unorganized and unprofessional, but it does not function. I had gone for a consult and just received another bill one year later. Unfortunately the whole experience has been one big headache.
I have been trying to have a baby for over two years now. Sadly, we have lost three. After the last miscarriage my OB Doctor sent me to CCRM. After one visit with them they knew what was wrong! I thought we were going for a consultation but before we left they ran a bunch of tests and knew what steps needed to be taken next. They are very proactive and jump right in. They checked with my insurance before all of my procedures to make sure they were covered. I absolutely love Dr. Debra Menjarez(spelling) she was very caring and explained everything in detail and gave us notes that she took so we had them. The only reason I didnt give this 5 stars was because I feel there is always room for improvement but they are definitely a top notch facility!
Horrible patient interaction, billing processes and communication. The departments dont seem to communicate with one another at all nor is the office staff accessible by phone. Once they get your initial $500 payment for the consultation they do not take any initiative to communicate next steps and usher you through the process.
Love Dr. Kondapalli! I used CCRM to freeze my eggs after researching tons of places. I talked to several people, and although CCRM was more expensive, the people I spoke with did not get great results at the cheaper places.Dr. Kondapalli is so wonderful, and she really knows her stuff. I was so thankful to have her at the helm as I went through this process which ended up being incredibly successful. The entire process was made easier by my wonderful nurse (Carly) who answered all of my insane questions all of the time and who walked with me through all of the preparations. The entire front desk staff at the Denver office was incredible. They were always on time and always incredibly kind and quick to help.I am so thankful to the CCRM staff, nurses, and Dr. K for being so great on this scary journey.
Just for one initial consultation of fertility, they charged us ~$750. The patient financial experience is very had. The meeting with the doc was for hardly 10min, where the doc was literally a robot trying to unload all the fertility info on us. The rest 45min was spent just on billing questions and even after that we were confused
Doctors, nurses, and most of the staff have horrible bedside manners. I had a horrible experience here after paying more than $30,000, and nothing was accomplished. Even after I thought I had paid everything, I was still being billed for things that I was told my insurance would cover. CCRM is extremely rigid about their protocol, and they are unnecessarily expensive. They will bill you for every little thing. They seem to know what they are doing from a medical standpoint, but they have no human touch whatsoever. I was essentially just a number to them.
I would highly recommend Dr. Kondapalli and her team. My husband and I tried for 3 years before going to CCRM for support. We went through 3 IUIs and one round of IVF before successfully getting pregnant. This of course was an emotional rollercoaster and very difficult physically and mentally but we knew CCRM always had a plan for our next steps. There are millions of factors that could have been preventing us from getting pregnant, but this team never gave up on us. Reading the comments below, about how Dr. Kondapalli is just after your money is not true. It is a very expensive process, you need to know that going in. It takes a lot of time, energy and is straining physically, emotionally, and mentally. I wish those who are having to go through this process the best of luck. You are not alone and you are enough. I have no doubt this team will support you to the best of their ability. Best of luck!
We still haven’t received my husbands test results and it’s been almost 3 weeks, we have called 6 times, sent emails, and created a patient portal account. The receptionists were rude and not at all helpful, I’m sure they’re busy but 3 weeks is ridiculous. Today they refused to provide my husband a copy of his medical records. We’re trying to move forward with infertility treatment and those results are vital they are delaying our ability to receive proper treatment.
My husband and I went to CCRM after about 5 months of trying just to do all the testing to make sure everything was OK (or not) before making any decisions on treatments etc. Even before we did ANY testing at all we were told that IVF was our best option because of my age (I was 38 at the time). This is before ANY testing was done. I was told my age numerous times during my consultation. We went through all the testing and would venture to say we passed with flying colors, I am extremely healthy with all my numbers exactly where they should be, a follicle count that is 2-3 times the normal count and still we were told IVF was our only and best option. I can only imagine they told us this so many times because of 1- the amount of money they make and 2- the more ivf they do the higher chance of pregnancy and the better their numbers- even if one doesnt need it!We left with a bad taste in our mouths and went to 2 doctors in NYC for second opinions, both emphatically said there is NO NEED FOR IVF with my numbers (both, I may add, also do IVF and make as much money from it). We chose one and came back to colorado (where we live), and are now awaiting IUI with our chosen doctor in nyc. Unfortunately, because of the timing of my cycle, I had to go to CCRM one last time this last saturday for outside monitoring. I was met by EMMA B, the assistant manager of the front desk. Emma spoke to me in a manner that shocked me to the core, and upset my husband beyond words. She treated me with disrespect, sarcasm and quite frankly meanly. NO ONE should be spoken to the way I was by Emma, and especially not patients who are going through what the patients there already are. We are going through enough. I was told many times by her that if I wasnt already a patient I wasnt going to be seen, but I was a patient (had already paid thousands to be told Im old and only IVF was my solution). They made it a point to mention many times that they were just doing outside monitoring for ANOTHER doctor because I was not being seen by any of their doctors (for the good reasons above), but I was made to feel horrible and its just not ok. I dont know my outcome with this new doctor in NYC yet but I can already say that my decision to move away from CCRM is the best one Ive made so far. Do your research, get second opinions! CCRM is famous because their numbers are good, they do get lots of women pregnant, no matter what it takes
At Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine (CCRM), you have no advocate to provide help and support. You must navigate every step on your own, not knowing if you are headed in the right direction. Because uncertainty during IVF is the last thing you need, CCRM is a bad choice. Stay away.CCRM was once a medical practice owned and run by respectable Colorado doctors. They sold out to a foreign shell company that seeks profit in every way possible. Read more reviews and youll see patterns with serious billing issues and withholding patient records. This is not a coincidence, and you better understand what youre in for when going to CCRM.Medical care is an afterthought at CCRM. You will not be able to access your nurse or doctor unless you are actually in their office. When you call CCRM, you will be “handled” by someone who knows nothing about your case and provides a guess, at best. The clinical staff tries hard, but be prepared to explain your situation over and over and over again to someone new each time while you await someone you hope can actually help. The CCRM billing group provides misinformation to corner you into paying up front and out of pocket. This is because CCRM wont help you with getting insurance to pay, even if youre covered. The way CCRM passes you through a complicated web of facilities and providers make insurance coverage very difficult. Additionally, even though CCRM is required by their contracts with insurance companies to generate pre-authorizations, letters of medical necessity, and direct billing to insurance, they dont do this. Instead, they ask you to pay out of pocket---often without even sending you a bill first---and they threaten to cancel your scheduled procedure if you dont pay immediately. You will come to understand CCRM prefers cash. The CCRM billing group is an impersonal, aggressive collections department. You feel filthy after talking with them. The billing group often contradicts themselves and provides inaccurate, confusing, and unhelpful information. When you ask CCRM management for help and clarity, they delegate you back to the same staff that caused you to escalate your issue. There is a helpful person in billing that infrequently comes along, but they are overshadowed by a pervasive culture of profiteering at the patient’s expense. When you choose to leave CCRM, or simply get copies of your records, the CCRM records department will gladly provide you with medical release forms but won’t act on them to release your records as requested. The CCRM records department will use excuses and find ways to delay, delay, delay fulfilling your request. You must be absolutely relentless with getting your information from the records department and you must check their work, because they play games with you. For example:1. They will say they sent everything but have actually provided nothing2. They will send a single page of medical records seemingly chosen at random3. You get a mish-mosh of partial medical records with important pieces missing. Our best way to get all our records was to message every nurse at CCRM through the patient portal pleading with them to please help us get the records we had repeatedly requested for several weeks. Someone inside CCRM finally cared enough to intervene, although we dont know who.You still may want to give CCRM a try, because the doctor is in network, and youll find a doctor that cares about what he or she does. However, doctors here are completely oblivious to problems their own business office causes patients. In the end, doctors are held captive to the CCRM profit machine. For example, doctors are forced to use a lab which obfuscates their treatment plans, making insurance coverage hard to get.The CCRM business model is to take your money, let you figure things out yourself, and to withhold your records so you cant leave. Have wealth and be completely sold on using CCRM to go here. Otherwise, expect to be trapped in a certain kind of insurance purgatory that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Stay away from this place.
We decided to utilize fertility treatments at CCRM - based on a recommendation of an acquaintance - and due to the high number of healthy live births they claim to have aided in their marketing materials and web page.It is for that reason that I am writing this review. That number gave us confidence. However, I don’t know where they’re getting this number from - as no one followed up with us after the beginning of our twin pregnancy. We suffered the loss of one baby around 16 weeks, our other baby was born at 25 weeks gestation and remained in a NICU for six months.I feel the hormones I received were grossly misrepresented as being safe and low enough not to cause multiples. Our experience was life altering - and not for the better. I do not recommend CCRM - and also did not enjoy the bedside manner of our doctor.
They wouldn’t see me after I got pregnant, knowing my condition was high risk for miscarriage. They said to go to the regular OB. I Ended up miscarrying before I could get in with the doc. When I called to tell them what happened, whoever answered the phone was extremely callous. She said “uh huh” like it was the most boring news. No sympathy at all! I am extremely displeased with my treatment and, who knows, maybe if they had treated me right away when I found out I was pregnant, I would not have miscarried. It was my one shot for a baby for other medical reasons.
Have called 6 times to get my medical records emailed to me. Have been sent to wrong voicemails, not gotten calls back, finally had a person tell me to sign a medical record release form to get this process going. Has been 3 weeks. Was told 3 weeks is normal for this process. Now I got a message in my patient portal and the portal wont let me sign in. Says it doesnt recognize my email even though it sent me an email. I. Just. Want. My. Medical. Records. Emailed. Directly. To. Me. Should be the simplest part after my visit and an easy task when you spend over $1500 dollars in tests.
We decided to go to CCRM after 6 miscarriages at our local fertility clinic. CCRM requires a lot of testing but they are very thorough and everyone we dealt with (especially our Doctor, Dr. Surrey) was kind, considerate, and answered all our questions. Yes, its expensive (we did CCS testing) but was so worth it for us. We have a 14 month old son and are currently 12 weeks pregnant with from our second transfer. I only wish we went to CCRM earlier in our journey!
I would not recommend this place for your initial consultation. The fee is $325 and because of COVID I had to do a virtual consult. My appointment was rushed and I only met with her for 27 minutes. She couldn’t answer any of my questions and she took another phone call during my appointment. I was told a nurse would call me to schedule a follow-up appointment, months have passed and I still have not received the call. For me this was a horrifying experience. As a black woman, it made me feel like I wasn’t valued.
Got referred from RydgeGate Obgyn for my uterus fibroid. From day 1 when I made a call to make an appointment, I clearly stated that my visit is for my uterus fibroid. The strange thing, they asked for my husband email. They asked me to fill out my health history and that’s not strange at all since I am the patient. However, they asked my husband health history also. I emailed them again stated that I made the appointment for my uterus fibroid. I also asked my obgyn to transfer all my medical record 2 weeks before my appointment. At the day of my appointment, the doctor at first didn’t talk about my fibroid at all. He asked my health history and my husband health history. No Ultrasound to see the fibroid. He talked like we want to do IVF or IUI. I’ve been pregnant before but got miscarriage. I was so confused why he talked about IVF or IUI. I went there to treat my fibroid and never think to get IUI or IVF. He asked me to make an appointment to do do a bunch of fertility tests and he asked my husband also to make an appointmnet to do semen test. In the end, the doctor code the billing as infertility test. It wasn’t covered by my insurance. The charge just to see the doctor is around $320 (only talk and pelvic exam). Just be careful with them, I asked them to change the billing code, their answered is this is fertility clinic. Well, they should told me from the beginning they only treat infertility.
I have been going here for 4 months and their nurses and front desk schedulers are rude. You pay thousands of dollars, for me out of pocket, and they have no care about being on the same page and apparently no training on how to speak to a client that is already going through a hard time. They make you take tests that arent necessary if you are following their directions, again, costing another $100+ Each test and when you ask why, they basically say because they said so, and if you dont, they wont continue the treatment. I am still going here because Ive already paid so much and obviously want to have a family so I am willing to deal with rude, unprofessional people in order to make that happen. If you are thinking about going here, be prepared to be told that the doctor or nurse will call you and then they dont, for front desk schedulers to talk inappropriately about you to each other after you call in with an issue (this one I witnessed while waiting for an appointment), and paying a lot of money to deal with people that couldnt care less that you are already going through a hard time.
Unfortunately there should be a 0 star option. This office is extremely unprofessional and has put my wife and family through an incredible amount of stress. They are uncommunicative, failed to accurately describe testing procedures (including how to prepare and the last effects and repercussions) and their billing practices seem borderline criminal. We will be reporting them to our insurance and will never go back.
Fertility is a different journey for everyone. Women that are younger than I have had challenges I have not faced, and there are women my age that like me, have been successful. I feel fortunate that CCRM is in my backyard. I started at age 40yr with Dr M (now gone) and now am with Dr Kondapali. I used my own eggs the first time around and have a beautiful baby boy. We are now back at age 44yr, this time with a donor. I have found the staff just as thoughtful and caring as they were with my first cycle. There is a reason their are in the top 2% of clinics in the world. Its just unfortunate not all have had success.
Called to ask a few questions and gather info about various programs for a friend and after being transferd multiple times and finally getting a so called new patient coordinater who knew nothing about what the clinic offers but instead informed us we wouldnt get a smidge of info if we didnt first fork out $350 for a Dr. Tele consult. Then she wanted to transfer us to the Business Office?!Cold, Rude, snappy, unprofessional and gave ZERO incentive to inspire a call back.
I would recommend CCRM to anyone. For me, it’s been a tough journey and Dr. Ehrhart, her nurses (Esp. Becca and Nicole), and staff have been so kind and supportive. They’ve tried to help keep costs down as much possible. It’s great they take Kaiser and that they try to utilize your benefits as much as possible. I just recently did my first Procedure there and everyone was so comforting and helpful! My Fiancé and I walked away knowing they did everything they could to help us in our journey. I know everyone’s experience is different but I would highly recommend them to anyone. No matter what the time or day is they make sure you’re taken care of. We don’t know the result yet, but I’m confident in the treatment we’ve received.
Like all people heading into fertility treatment, we had complicated needs, and a hard long journey of losses and struggles to conceive again. Dr. Kondapalli was an absolute life saver for us. She helped to diagnose and treat my uterine structure issues, and then helped us to conceive in our first round of IVF. She is truly competent, kind, and brilliant. We are forever thankful for her care and competency.
I was vey impressed and optimistic when i first went but then i quickly went away. I never got any kind of follow up care. I was forgotten!! I feel like they took my money with out a care for me as a person. After being in tears in the Dr. office telling them all our struggles trying to get pregnant to just be forgotten feels like a stabe in the back!!
Words alone cannot convey how highly I respect and appreciate Dr. Kondapalli. The infertility journey is not an easy one, and like many others, I arrived at CCRM filled with both grief and hope. Dr. Kondapalli was frank and forthright about my prospects for successfully conceiving, and also encouraging and supportive. She walked with me every step of the way, as did the rest of the staff at CCRM. Their attentiveness and attention to detail surpassed my expectations, and someone was always available to answer my questions. I would recommend Dr. Kondapalli to anyone struggling with fertility. She is an extraordinary doctor--an extraordinary person--and she made me a mother. I am eternally grateful to her.
Receptionist continues to neglect the pronouns of clients. Please train your staff.UPDATE: Since receiving the response from the owner, when a client sent over their information and specifically requested to ensure their transgender, non-binary partner not be mis-gendered, they sent a recommendation for a lesbian group... misgendering them. Staff LGBTQ trainings do not seem effective. Also... pronouns are not preferred. They just are. Owner might need further training in pronouns as well. This is not a safe place so far for non-binary folks. Well see how the actual appointment goes. So far, so bad.
Horrible mistakes by the inexperienced nursing staff cost us a failed transfer and 3 miscarriages including twins. We were then told to get a surrogate and kicked to the curb. We were told by an ultrasound tech currently employed there that they cherry pick their patients and we were ruining their numbers. CCRM is a hamster wheel with patients being treated according to the size of their bankroll.
I was told in 1989 that I could and would never have a child. I went to the best of the best all over the U.S especially in Chicago and had the same results. My husband was transferred to Denver and I was encouraged by a friend to meet with Dr. Stuart Gottesfeld and his Infertility Specialists in Denver.. He told me you WILL have a child. And thru testing and shots and a new trial My miracle turned 29 this year and I thank Dr. Stuart Gottesfeld every day. My son is getting married next year and tho we moved back to Chicago he and his wife to be go to Colorado several times a year. The Gottesfeld.Family of Doctors and Staff were amazing.
At the age of 41, I did 4, very heavily medicated cycles with Dr. Schoolcraft. Based on a handful of CCS tested abnormal embryos, I was told that I had zero chances of conceiving with my own eggs and was told to find a donor. I was devastated.I decided to look in New York. I did only one transfer with Dr. Janelle Luk at Neway Clinic in New York and she got me pregnant at 43. She used either very little or no drugs to stimulate me. Ladies, if you are older, stay clear of CCS / genetic testing. I think the test is wrong way more than 5% of the time as its advertised by CCRM. These doctors make more money by using genetic testing since its artificially inflates their success rates which keeps people flocking to them. Its very sad how unregulated this industry is and how no one bothers to explain that genetic testing can severely damage embryos of older women. There is also a doctor in Long Island, NY who transferred an abnormal embryo and got a perfectly healthy baby. New technology is not always a good thing.
I was really excited to start ivf. I was given a financial break down only to find out they dont actually include everything on that break down, the break down is missing about 10,000 in services. I wait a month misinformed and 7 days away from my appointment to get the process started to find out it will cost another 10,000 -30,000 because prices are going up but they dont know when or by how much. So a process that I was told would cost me around 28,000 is now, in 7 days, going to be 40,000+. How is this place still in business. So sorry to everyone that walked into this company, gave them money to start the process only to find out half way through (because prices changed) they could not afford the rest. I am devastated but greatful I asked the right questions although I couldnt get a straight answer.
Really I can say ccrm is number one in the world for fertility very helpful all doctors nurses and staff Dr sahra barton she is very amazing and helpful doctor I say thank you so much for your helpful
The one hour appointment here and subsequent communications with this office amount to the most traumatizing health care experience I have ever had. This is an IVF sales office, not a healthcare facility.
Dr. Kondapalli is amazing! I had a very bizarre medical problem, to say the least, but she and her team have been so helpful during this time . I would recommend Dr. Kondapalli and her team to anyone who needs her services. She is an excellent physician/specialist and a genuinely kind and fun person, which can be hard to find. The same goes for her team. Everyone who Ive dealt with through this journey has been so professional, kind and trustworthy. Thank you, Dr. Kondapalli and the amazing staff at CCRM! :)
Very good experience as a lesbian couple. A couple miscommunications and things that could have been explained a little better along the way, but they did not create any major roadblocks and I did feel that the doctors and nurses had my best interests at heart through it all.
I highly recommend Dr. Kondapalli and CCRM. I worked with her for fertility services during a difficult time in my life and the warmth, care, and compassion she provided during the process made all the difference in the world.
Dr. Kondapalli is truly a gem! She made it a priority to answer ALL the questions we had when it came to the surrogacy process. Her bedside manor and warm spirit made this process very comfortable!
Thorough and clear communication, very organized and quick to get the ball rolling
🤔🧐This place Ive read their responses to the low stars as a copy-paste bin...or script like.****....like many other places (places located on the map that have a review section) they seem to have a lot of prewritten/typed script responses on hand for many different types of experiences....****⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I have no negative or positive thoughts/ suggestions for this particular place of business....This is merely opinion on the Reviews written and Responses under CCR and all other of MAPs named places that have Reviews and Responses underneath in general and below/above👇🏼/👆🏼⭐please please please do extensive research...***Not talking of this place BUT ALL things/places in general ..DO NOT go off of a handfuls of [👎🏼😔😡] or [👍🏼🙂🫤🤩] experiencesDo not believe all experiences will match your experience....But do take all things in count when doing this extensive research with some proof if available...Just remember when you wrote an argumentative paper in HS you needed hard concrete factual information that supported and desupported your narrative (this type and others, no matter what you are doing/eating/using/chosing/etc.)
I had the best experience at CCRM! Dr. Kondapolli and her team are terrific. They genuinely seemed to care, and they were always positive. I highly recommend CCRM!
Everyone is amazing!!! All of the staff and Dr.Kandapli was excellent helping and making sure I understood every aspect going on!!
