Dr. Mag and his staff are amazing. My husband and I have done a total of 2 IVF cycles and have a beautiful 1 year old daughter. We just did an embryo transfer this week and are praying for success again. I love the clinic and the patient portal has been an amazing tool for communication especially for us because we live in New Mexico. His team in my experience has been very responsive and always available for questions even after hours! They make you feel like you are part of a family and are so welcoming every time we have been in the clinic. We love them and can not thank them enough for making our dream of having a family come true! I will always recommend this clinic to those who are in need of fertility assistance. They are making dreams come true :) Thank you Dr Mag and the his team!!!
I have been a patient at Magarelli Fertility for almost a year now and I have never been disappointed. The staff is amazing. Gabby and Jennifer have been nothing but kind to me and have gone above and beyond. I drive 11 hours round trip to see these guys and they are always on time and make me feel welcome. They work with me on my appointment times as they know I travel a long way to get there. Dr. Mag is the best! He is straight to the point, has a kind heart, a great sense of humor and is clearly passionate about what he does! Dealing with infertility is hard as it is, It is really important you have a clinic that is there to root you on and wants you to succeed as much as you want it yourself! I highly recommend Magarelli Fertility!
We had a great experience at Magarelli Fertility and I would highly recommend Dr. Magarelli to those struggling with infertility. Dr. Magarelli’s pricing for IVF is a fraction of other clinics and includes everything except medications (no hidden costs). In addition, his success rates are just as good as the top Denver area clinics despite Dr. Magarelli having a much smaller number of patients (which makes his success rates even more impressive) (see CDC ART reports). The personalized, empathetic, quality care I received more than compensated for the inconvenience of driving to Colorado Springs from Denver. Although, the drive was not that bad and actually allowed me an opportunity to relax while listening to music or an audio book. I was able to have some labs drawn in Denver, which helped minimize driving there for lab only appointments. The staff became like family and I felt like they really cared about us. Communication via their online portal was reliable and I received responses to questions within 24 hours. They sent me a very detailed and easy to follow IVF calendar that outlined my medication regimen. I attended a training class where my husband and I learned how to give injections and learned about the IVF process in general. The staff is extremely organized and knowledgeable. I appreciated that I had a lot of contact with Dr. Magarelli himself, he would call me with lab results and medication adjustments and was always around the office if you had a question or concern. I came to really trust him and his staff and as I said above, they felt like family. Without a doubt, I know I received the best possible care / treatment. I couldn’t be more thankful for Dr. Magarelli and his team.
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC! Dr. Magarelli is a narcissistic, hateful, rude, money-driven, belligerent person who lies about your chances of success and only cares about money. He has absolutely no business treating patients. Hes changed the name of this clinic at least 3 times in order to avoid bad google reviews. During the two months we spent with this doctor, he said the most hateful things to us, such as Stop crying. What do you even want? as my wife is crying hysterically on the table half dressed. Magarelli forced us to spend over $10K on medications and then pushed us into continuing with IVF when there was absolutely no chance of success. All he wanted was money and didnt care about us at all (we should have realized this when our first consultation was twice as much as we were first told because there was a consultation fee for me and a separate consultation fee for my wife). CNY bought him out a few months later. What was CNY was even thinking?? They have a good reputation, which is completely soiled by having Magarelli on staff. Right before our egg retrieval, at least half of the staff left, which is always a sign that something is very wrong. To make matters even worse, after we left the clinic, Magarellis office refused to transfer our records to our new clinic and would not reimburse us for monies owed. They would not answer the phone or reply through the portal. There are so many things that are very, very wrong with Magarelli. Do not go to this clinic! I wish we had decided to follow the advice from previous Google reviews and never had gone here. We wouldnt have lost an entire year, which is a long time when it comes to fertility.
Wow after reading the reviews Im shocked. My husband and I had treatment with Dr. Magarelli over 11 years ago with a successful out come. We have triplets and we was very pleased with our treatment process. If we was up for more children we would have gone back to the clinic.
When I went to Dr. Magarelli I already knew that IVF was my only option. Dr Mag is a very blunt, straightforward person, as some of the other reviews say. But I personally think thats a good thing. He doesnt sugar coat or BS anything. After doing all his routine tests for me andy husband he gave us a 40% chance of me becoming pregnant without genetic testing (which was not something that was recommended because I was under 35).For me that 40% chance was good enough and I delivered a healthy baby girl early the next year. When my daughter was 7 months old I went back to do another transfer and once again was successful and I delivered a second baby girl. So thanks to Dr. Mag and his staff I have two beautiful baby girls that would not be in this world without him.The only negative thing I will add is that at times going through my cycle I felt like communication was a little lacking via the patient portal but everything turned out well despite that.
First let me start by saying, if you want your hand held and you want a doctor who’s going to treat you like a princess this isn’t your doctor. Dr Mag is very direct, he has too many patients to hold anyones hand or baby them. I’ve heard a lot of stories about how Dr Mag has “poor bedside manner” or women throwing a fit that their transfer failed. When I met Dr Mag we clicked. It was like I found my ivf home. He came and took the time out of his busy day to talk to me and make sure I understood everything that was going on. I was scheduled for a transfer with dr fink but dr mag knew how nervous I was and he took care of me himself, explained everything very well. Unfortunately my transfer did fail and I did not end up with embryos to freeze, yet he still made time to make sure he put me on the right medication to prime before our next cycle. I almost gave up until he called me and said let’s make a new plan! I always get excited to see him because I know I’m that much closer to my take home baby. I am 100% confident that this man is sending me home with a baby. It may take some time but it will happen. Stay positive ladies I’ve never had an issue with communication in the portal so idk why these reviews suck so much.
Avoid this doctor at all costs. He treats every patient as if they are exactly the same and no two people are the same. When you question him, he says he’s the expert and expects you to do exactly as he says because of it but his success rates are incredibly low. Communication with the office is awful and response times are incredibly slow when leaving a phone message or sending a message through the portal. The only saving grace here is his staff is very nice but nice won’t get you a baby. The saying “you get what you pay for” is incredibly true. Save you money, save your stress, and save your time by seeing a better doctor.
Dr. Magarelli and his team have always gone above and beyond. Before going to Magarelli Fertility I had seen two other REs and neither of them made me feel as comfortable and at home as Dr. Magarelli. At our initial consultation with Dr. Mag I immediately felt hopeful and re-energized. Dr. Mag wants all of his patients to have a baby and truly cares about his patients and offers his services at an affordable price without compromising quality of care. The entire staff including Jennifer, Gabby, Michael, Stephanie, and the embryologists always bring a smile to my face and are always there no matter what. They have been there through all of the ups and downs of this journey. I would highly recommend Magarelli Fertility for anyone struggling with infertility. We are hopeful that our dream of having a baby will come true with the help of Dr. Magarelli and his amazing team.
From start to embryo transfer, I could have not asked For a better experience. On our day one visit, everything was explained in full to include prices, I’ve never left the office without a smile on my face. The Staff; by far hands down best Medical crew I’ve had the privilege of being taken care of. Not once did I feel uncomfortable and never did I leave with unanswered questions. The staff rose above and beyond when I was accompanied mother in law who speaks Spanish and Jenny recognized that and started speaking in Spanish for her to better understand. My heart melted at that point.Dr. Mags; Ask for a hug! Such an informative, upfront, and caring Doctor. I always knew what was going on and always felt comfortable while procedures were being performed. Dr. Mag genuinely cares, and I would absolutely use him and his team again!
Just started seeing Magarelli back in November 2016. We are now getting ready to complete our first ivf in May.... even though we dont have a baby yet, we are grate full for him and his staff. Hes very compassionate, always gives us updates through portal or phone calls. The staff has treated us very kindly, tough process, it makes it a little easier when you have a caring fertility office! I would highly recommend Dr Paul Magarelli!!!
Infertility is a hard journey to go through, and my husband and I didnt have the best start. We transferred doctors I think 5 times before we found Dr. Magarelli and his team. We left doctors for various reasons, either they couldnt take us to the next level, they retired, or we found them to be incompetent and inconsiderate to our situation.Dr. Magarellis team was different. He has a strong personality that we initially interpreted as pushy towards IVF. When we asked him about it, he cleared it up for us. He gave us a spreadsheet of all of our options, and the % chance for success. Then he left the decision up to us on how we wanted to proceed. I believe he does specialize with IVF but thats because there is a huge need for that in the Southern Colorado area. His staff is amazing, and they ask their patients to let them know if they are giving anything but a 5 star experience. I felt heard by every team member, and I felt they truly empathized with our situation. They made us feel welcome, and they made us feel as though we arent alone. The only reason I am not currently giving them a 5 star rating is because I wish they were a little more vocal on some aspects. For example, during my retrieval process, I was told to consume more protein because I was running a high risk for Over Hyperstimulation. However, I wish they had given me more ideas on how to accomplish consuming the huge amounts of protein I needed. I was getting sick off of protein shakes, and protein bars werent enough either. I felt like I was eating nothing but meat. I ended up getting OHSS and had to be in the hospital for about a week. Absolutely horrible. I will say that Dr. Hayes (who is a part of Dr. Magarellis team) checked on me everyday and was awesome in the post care for that procedure. The cost is very competitive to other facilities. I really felt like their financial team looked for the best deals and options for us. For example, they did a frozen embryo process so that we were able to go back for a reduced price because we didnt have to redo the retrieval. He also gave us information on FET and that it had better success rates for them. They determined, based on what meds we would use, which vendor to purchase from to get the best deal.I will admit that our very first IVF cycle was a success, and we are expecting our little girl this summer! I just wanted to be honest about that. I will say I was planning on writing this review before finding out our results, but I didnt want my personal experience public yet. Take it as you will, if our first cycle wasnt successful, I would have 100% went back with this team to try again. They really fought for us and our goal of becoming a family.
Hello everyone, after reading all the reviews I was kinda shocked. I was a patient there last year till beginning of this year, that was our first time doing Ivf with a success, after 9 month a healthy little baby girl. We had some hard times with treatment but it all worked out thanks to a great staff. Yes thats correct that you dont see Dr.mag at each visit but if you had any questions or concerns the staff always tryed there best to give answers :) I highly recommend them, we plan on doing a other course in the near future. Thank you so much for our little mirical you guys are awesome.
If you know all you want to do is IVF then Dr Mag is for you. If you want to see what is going on with you and fix it and try natural first, Dr Mag is not for you. After doing tests at his clinic we thought our only choice was IVF. We had a failed cycle and was about to try another cycle (~$14,000 is not cheap - oh and if your eggs dont mature you dont get the extra money back for the last procedure you dont use because they package it). Decided to get a second opinion. Found my hormones were off in my prolactin gland. They put me on medication and now 3 MONTHS LATER we are pregnant NATURALLY after trying for over 2 years. I asked Dr Mag and he said my levels were high but not enough for a tumor. Well they were obviously high enough to effect my ovulation. Im disappointed that was never explored. I was made to feel like IVF was my only option there and that was not the case. They dont do extensive tests there so if its an easy fix they dont catch it. I read a previous post about the staff and how great they were and I have to disagree. I really loved the guy that took my blood but everyone else acted like I was either wasting their time or asking to may questions and over reacting. In response to response - The problem is that because your clinic doesnt test for everything and jumps to IVF, my family went through a lot of unneeded pain, emotionally and physically for myself. We had to pay a lot of money that was not needed and are left feeling taken advantage of. I feel that is not how I should feel about something like this. Im just so happy that we got a second opinion!
We had two cycles at RMFC which both failed. However, I was a tough case with a history of previous multiple IVF failures and unexplained miscarriages. I am grateful that Dr. Magarelli took a chance on us. I caution you in looking at SART data and CDC success rates; clinics can artificially inflate their own success rates by only taking on the easy cases. A clinics success rates alone do not tell the whole story. When other clinics turned us away in an effort to protect their success rates, Dr. Magarelli was willing to treat us. When our second cycle at RMFC failed, he called me on the phone personally (usually the nurses do this; in 11 years of infertility, Ive NEVER had a doctor call me to discuss a failed cycle - ever). I apologized to him for helping to drag down his success rate. He said: Let me be very clear: I dont care about that. I only wish that I could have helped you. He was genuine and sincere. He listened to all my concerns and was even willing to try a Day-3 embryo transfer for one of my cycles at my insistence. Day 5 transfers are the norm in the industry today and are statistically the most successful. But I wanted to try a Day 3 and so he did it (and it failed, thatll teach me to play doctor). Over the years, weve been to four different clinics and have seen a half-dozen Reproductive Endocrinologists. His staff was, hands down, the best. Sincere, compassionate, warm, accommodating, empathetic, I cant say enough good things. Dr. Magarelli is very no-nonsense, so if youre looking for a shoulder to cry on about your infertility, keep looking, but let me know when you find that. I am a no-nonesense kind of gal whos been through the infertility wringer several times, so I appreciated his directness and candor. I can see how that might put people off, but Id rather have a cocky, competent doctor than a warm and fuzzy one whos not as capable. Yes, he pushes IVF - no kidding he does. Its the most successful treatment for infertility. He stays on top of the latest research and is at the cutting edge of everything fertility. He did manage to get four of our embryos cryopreserved from our last cycle and were gearing up for another Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) at yet another clinic (weve since moved away from Colorado). No other doctor has managed to get us that many leftover embryos; most of our cycles ended with no embryos leftover at all. Take it from an infertility veteran: RMFC is as good as it gets.
What a waste of time and money!!! Horrible experience with this place. Nurses were acting like doctors and medical assistants were performing nurse’s responsibilities for example unsuccessfully learning how to do IV on me. As a result I am very disappointed with the outcome. However Dr. Magarelli did a good job at presenting his business and himself during our first meeting though.
My wife and I had been trying to get pregnant for years nothing went to magarelli and he told us I had low motility. So went forward with ivf. First off yes he is straight forward. We loved that. Straight to the point. We went through everything put in two embryos. And on may 10, 2016 we had twins born. They were 13 weeks early and are still in hospital. Had a few ups and downs but as of now seem to be making strides. If it wasnt for him and his staff we wouldnt have these two beautiful children. Thank you so much. Only problem at all was the portal and a little lack of communication. By far best ivf doctor in town
One of the worst Doctors we have ever been to in our lives. Seriously, do not go here. There is a reason the dont publish their success rates with IVF. They are hiding what their success rates are. If they were anywhere close to the national average they would publish them. They are cheap because they are terrible at what they do. I would never recommend someone to go to this clinic. Dr. Magarelli has terrible bedside manner as well.
Went here one time and he just wanted to do vitals and draw blood, a couple months later got a bill in the mail for $700. never got the results back, never was told they were going to charge me for something outside of my insurance (tricare). Ive been through fertility treatments before and never experienced anything like having to pay for a blood draw.
I just finished my first Ivf with dr mag. I would advise anyone to proceed with caution. If this is the only way you can afford to go through with Ivf, as somebody who understands the despair of infertility, then do it. If youre able to spring for pgd def do it. However, you get what you pay for. i will start with, as a doctor I actually really like Dr magarelli. Hes to the point, very knowledgeable, seems to always be researching and absorbing more information. With that, I saw him at my consult appt and at my transfer. Only. Im told he is who preformed my egg retrieval, I never saw him, talked to him, heard from him, nothing. Every test, physical, ultra sound, appt was preformed by a nurse or np. So while Ill say I like him Ill be the first to say I have very little interaction with him. During my entire cycle a lot of administration problems occurred (appts r/s without my knowledge, waiting an hour for trial transfer with a full bladder, many many many very late appts bc of other schedules, lab results not being called to me etc. Very little instruction was given to me at all during my cycle. It was often refer to your handbook. Weather Im paying 4800 or 20000, I am a patient, I want that face to face going over what is expected. My interpretation may be different then your indication. My cycle did result in a pregnancy which is good news for my husband and I, however it resulted in a miscarriage. We have no more embryos left and are faced with the decision of what to do next. My hcg report was never called to me. That particular day between my husband and I we called 4x to get our results. The only reason why we ended up getting them is bc one of the nurses drove into the office at 830 to get them for me. The following week on another pregnancy test, when we were already aware a problem was occurring but unsure if it was a miscarriage or ectopic, again I called 3 times before I finally spoke to a nurse. I will be the first to admit, I hate waiting. However, I like structure. So I always ask, when can I expect a call? I never called until 30 minutes pass the time I was told to expect a call by. My stress level would have been much lower if they stuck to what I was being told and I would prob have a much different opinion right now. With my failed cycle I did meet with the Doctor. I wanted to figure out what hed do different if we went back and try to express to him my frustrations. The solution to him, the patient portal. So if you do not know what that is, it is a tool that allows everything to be done online. So even less face to face patient relationship which I believe is where most of my frustration stems from. Ivf is a highly emotion, trying, EXPENSIVE, roller coaster. You have no relationship with the person making all the decisions in your cycle. That to me is not high quality. That is a puppy mill. In my opinion, while I do not believe greed is the culprit in this case, the business has grown to big to give any kind of patient care and like I said you get what you pay for.On a side note for comparison, I shot off an email to another clinic to discuss options, as I said were very on the fence to our next cycle, I was wanting to set up a consult with a doctor whom Ive worked with before. After this last Ivf cycle and lack of patient interaction, with in 4 hours of sending my email you can probably imagine my SHOCK when that Doctor personally called me and apologized that I had to go through my miscarriage (something you would of expected my doc of my cycle to have done).best of luck to any couple in this struggle.
They gave us no help or hope. Without any test on me and only one boarder line test they pushed us towards IVF because they do it in office and it is clearly profitable. They lied to me about the reasoning for certain medications. They gave false hope and were very concerned about the money. After Dr. M told us there was no hope unless we did IVF he placed us in a room to speak to financials who pressured us to do IVF as if we were buying a car! this is the cheapest in the US, you wont find a deal like this . Financials proceeded to email and call to set up a date to pay to start IVF so we can get a baby before the end of the yearIt is heartbreaking this place does this to people. I recommend finding another doctor if you are going through this struggle.
This doctor is horrible. My husband and I first went to him and got tested. He said I had low vitamin d levels and that they would prescribe me some vitamins to take to raise that level. I have yet to get that prescription. That was a year and a half ago almost now but oh well. Then we were told we had a 4% chance because of my husband morphology, mobility and count of his sperm and that the only way we were going to have any chance of having a baby was through ivf. He said that we could use artificial insemination but that since my husbands sperm was messed up that their was really no hope with that procedure. When we asked why this could have been the case with my husbands sperm he was very rude in saying that it was genetic or something and he didnt know why. He also never gave us any reason why he thought that. The only test that was run on my husband was a sperm test. He never gave us any other alternatives to try before we were going to sock 4800 into ivf. I was then transferred to the financial lady who said that their were no payment plan options for this ivf treatment if we went through it. We declined the procedure and never once heard from them again. They never called to give us other options or to offer some alternatives. My husband and I were devastated to think that this was our only option at having a baby. About 9 months after going to this quack my husband started a pill called fertilaid and used all three. He was only on the pill for 1 month. If what the doctor says is true, it wouldnt have mattered what he had taken, nothing was going to fix that. Now we are expecting our first in June no thanks to Dr. Magaralli.
OMG OMG you do not have to go out state to get a perfect successful IVF with a very very nice staffDoctor Magarelli he is the best he knows his job and doing it at the very cheap price comparing to a lot clinics i drove from denver to colorado springs . Going to start my IVF cycle i was not so sure some of the bad review i read which is all liars .He is not RUDE he tells you the TRUE even if you don t like it .Take my words if you want to start a family or extended your family GO see this doctor .NO SWEET TALK -NO SUGAR CODE - NO SECRETS JUST THE TRUE NOTHING ONLY THE TRUEPLUS CHEAP TOO you will not find any clinic that cheap and knows what they doing and do it very Well .Thanks doc magarelli and your staff i can t never repay you guys .
We are the Olsens and have been with Dr. Magarelli and his team for a few years. We are pleased with all of the staff and how available they make themselves. We are praying for our miracle baby! Thank you for all you do!!
STAY AWAY!! This doctor is the slimiest money-driven used-car-salesman doctor you will ever find. He recommend stopping a drug in a way that could have left me permanently paralyzed if I followed his guidance. To top it all off, his office tried billing BOTH PARTNERS for the same visit without telling us a secondary fee would be charged for both of us to be there. UNETHICAL MONEY-DRIVEN SHIESTERS. Read some of his other reviews and other people will confirm this! STAY AWAY!!
We did two cycles of in vitro fertilization at this place with dr. Paul magarelli very disappointing do not do it if youre from out of state we were from New Mexico and travel to Colorado Springs because we thought it would be cheaper was actually more expensive and we still did not get pregnant the stress of having to travel was exhausting they did not have a nurse in New Mexico or an office when we initially started they did but it closed during mid cycle my wife had to get her ultrasounds done at a plastic surgeons office at 5 in the morning every morning before the office open it was one of the biggest mistakes and messes of my life
Dr. Magarelli is very thorough in explaining everything and every option in regards to helping you conceive. His office staff is polite and you RARELY wait past your appointment time to be seen.
Compassionate, caring, understanding..have become members of an extend family. Very satisfied..we had two rounds..egg transfer was last week, overjoyed..on my two week wait...Dr Mag was so understanding with our own personal medical history..at 41 with Parkinsons and a spouse that survived cancer..sometimes thank you is just not enough..
My wife and I hated going here. They do not keep you informed about anything. They have a ton of hidden fees. My wife and I paid close to $16,000. Not $4800. We had to call several times to finally get a hold of someone to let us know if we were pregnant or not because they DID NOT CALL WITH THE RESULTS! We found out we miscarried and called them... Guess what? They wont return our phone calls now...
Absolute worst experience Ive ever had with a doctor. Two failed IVF cycles and Dr. Magarelli couldnt have cared less. If youre thinking of using him do yourself a favor and run in the other direction.
Dr. Magarelli and his staff were helpful and patient with me it was a joy to be around them and learn things about myself that i never knew. i was happy to ask questions and try new things now i have an eight year old and a two year old and i thank them for that.
This wonderful clinic has helped me blossom into, and continue to grow into so much more than I had ever imagined as a health care professional. Thank you Dr. Magarelli for everything you have, and continue to teach me everyday!!!!!!!!!
Hey DR and team members , if you are going to reply this comment here telling me how sorry you are or how much you care please before that just do it better ,,, Ive already spent my money and you dont even answer the phone , you were so nice the first day now you seem to hate to talk to me , are you guys all about money or you are actually professionals who care for patients ,, I shouldve pay attention to the COMMENTS SECTION
Horrible clinic and terrible medical practices. Very poor place to work.... treats employees with no respect and like disposable easily replaceable objects. Patients shuffled in and out like an assembly line. I would avoid this place like the plague!
The staff has been absolutely wonderful. I am not all the way my cycle yet but its been a journey and they are always there for you. Thanks everyone!
I absolutely loved him and his staff. Great Job!!
All i can say is i wish i read the reviews first. Best of luck to everyone.
Great clinic with awesome nurse staff!
Absolutely a waste...15 years later and still upset
Keep up the good work!!
